Marbella’s reputation for glamour is well deserved, yet its culinary landscape has evolved far beyond the glitzy beach clubs of the past. Today, the Golden Mile and the surrounding hills are home to some of the most sophisticated dining rooms in Europe. The influx of international talent has transformed this coastal haven into a true gastronomic destination.
Visitors often arrive seeking sun and sand but leave raving about the innovative tasting menus and pristine seafood. Whether you desire a romantic terrace overlooking the Mediterranean or a discreet enclave in the old town, the options are staggering. The sheer density of high-caliber kitchens means you could eat exceptionally well for months without repeating a venue.
However, navigating this saturated market can be challenging for those unfamiliar with the local scene. A restaurant might have a famous name but lack the substance to justify its price tag. Conversely, some of the most remarkable experiences are hidden away in boutique hotels or unassuming side streets.
This guide focuses on quality, consistency, and atmosphere. We have evaluated establishments based on the precision of their cooking, the sourcing of their ingredients, and the overall value they provide to the diner. It is not merely a list of the most expensive places, but rather the places where the experience justifies the spend.
From traditional Andalusian flavors elevated to fine dining standards to avant-garde techniques imported from Japan and Northern Europe, the variety is immense. You will find Michelin-starred chefs working mere meters from family-run establishments that have served the local elite for decades.
Prepare to embark on a culinary journey that highlights the very best of the Costa del Sol. Whether you are planning a special occasion or simply want to ensure every meal on your holiday is memorable, the following selections represent the pinnacle of Marbella’s dining scene.
Below, you will find a curated selection of the most exceptional dining rooms in the region. These are the places where the service is impeccable, the wine lists are extensive, and the food is nothing short of art.

We had an early dinner at the Boho Club restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome, and the attentiveness of the staff throughout the evening was remarkable (thanks Sofia!).
We sat outside in the beautiful garden. The food was really good, especially the vegetarian leek dish.
Make sure to save room for dessert because they are an absolute must. Both the tiramisu and the Dubai chocolate dessert were out of this world!
Highly recommended if you’re in Marbella!

Boho truly is the top choice for both hotel and restaurant when travelling to Marbella. We booked two rooms for our family of four and stayed for five nights, and every part of it lived up to the promise.
The service was outstanding from start to finish, attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The daily meals were consistently excellent, and the pool area is simply amazing, a genuinely relaxing spot to spend the afternoon whether you are with kids or not.
We will absolutely be returning on our next trip to Marbella, and we recommend Boho to anyone heading that way.

I have been coming to Boho since it opened but on my latest visits I was surprised to find the menu greatly reduced. Most starters are cold. Main dishes are very few. For starters we decided to have the cheese and croquettes, which were ok but nothing special. We ordered white wine by the glass and I was also very much surprised when they brought us the two glasses, not poured at the table! As main course I ordered a rare sirloin and was not happy when it was presented to me cut in half and on a cold plate. When I asked the waiter to ask the kitchen why they had decided to serve it like this his answer was they "always" did that. I have never experienced this at Boho before. I remember there were some paragraphs on the menu lauding the chef. I find it hard to believe he was the one preparing the plates today and if so he seems to have lost all motivation. The fact that everything is charged at premium Marbella prices only left me with the certainty that you can get a better culinary experience for that kind of money elsewhere. For example, I could not find one bottle of wine under 70 € on the wine list. I have always enjoyed coming to Boho, but at the current pricing you must deliver perfection to make it worth the while.

An amazing Dining Experience at Boho Club Marbella
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a warm, stylish atmosphere that perfectly combines elegance with a relaxed bohemian vibe.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Every member of the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. A special mention goes to the restaurant manager, whose warm, approachable, and highly professional attitude truly elevated the experience.
For starter, I chose the Smoked Beef Tenderloin, served with a delicate Vitello Tonnato sauce, capers, and pickled onions. The beef was beautifully tender with a subtle smoky flavour, while the creamy tuna sauce added richness without overpowering the dish.
As my main course, I had the Iberian Pork with green pepper, scallions, and chive oil. The pork was exceptionally juicy, tender, and full of flavour.
To finish, I ordered the Cheesecake, described as a creamy cheese blend with a crispy cookie crust. It was the perfect ending to the meal.
The entertainment deserves special recognition as well. Throughout dinner, we enjoyed amazing singer, later evening continued with DJ set, which made party atmosphere.
Boho Club offers much more than good food. It’s complete experience where outstanding cuisine, exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and high-quality entertainment.

Boho is definitely one of my favorite places in town. Have been a client from the day of the opening.
The staff is always friendly, and the service is super quick!
The food is really good, I usually always go for a steak as the main but now I have a new favorite dish which is the False risotto with seasonal vegetables, mascarpone, green pesto, and coconut!!! Must try!!!

Incredible experience today! David and team really outdid themselves. We had extremely high expectations and they exceeded them. It was really an adventure of creative flavors and combinations. The urchin and desserts were huge standouts and we'll be back just for them. Great drink selections that we hope to savor more in the future. Certainly one of the best in Marbella.

This place completely blew us away. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairings, and honestly, every single dish was amazing and the wine pairings were spot on and really brought each course to life. You can tell there's real thought and passion behind everything they do.
The service was flawless — friendly, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overly formal.
This restaurant so deserves all the success it has, we will definitely be back!

Overall, we absolutely loved Back Marbella. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and effortlessly polished, setting the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic dining experience. Each dish showcased incredible flavour and a thoughtful, creative use of ingredients—clearly crafted with skill and intention.
Most of the menu easily earned 9/10s from us. Even the few dishes that weren’t quite to our personal taste were beautifully presented and clearly well-executed, which speaks volumes about the quality of the kitchen. The menu itself felt carefully curated and offered a wonderful journey through the flavours of the south.
A truly memorable experience and one we’d happily repeat—highly recommended.
Jo Gomez-Lopez★★★★★
We absolutely loved this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, it struck the perfect balance—classy yet relaxed, with such a welcoming atmosphere.
The staff were incredible—attentive, fun, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Our drinks were always topped up, they checked in at just the right moments, and took the time to explain each dish, which made the whole experience even more special.
We chose the tasting menu and wow… every single course was amazing. The goat loin skewer was a standout—although the chilli lobster claw was just as unforgettable! Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favourite because it was all exceptional. My tummy is still full and my tastebuds are still dancing!
I’d seen a review mentioning expensive wine, but I have to disagree—I had champagne and found it very reasonably priced for the quality and experience.
A definite must-visit. Thank you to the whole team for such a fantastic evening!
Negar Omidvari★★★★★
Great food and service, as expected! We visited here as a group of 6. 5 of us got the tasting menu and one ordered a la carte due to seafood allergy. We also got the wine pairing. Everything was great and creative. However the portions were rather big and heavy for the total number of courses included in the tasting menu and the wine pairing was also a bit too much in terms of pouring volumes. The lobster was our top favorite and then the sea bass. The pigeon was too raw for most of us, but very high quality tender meat.

Cielo by Florentine is one of the standout rooftop dining experiences in Marbella, combining incredible views with a vibrant yet elegant atmosphere.
The setting is truly special—an elevated rooftop space with stunning panoramic views over Marbella that instantly set the tone for the evening. It feels stylish, modern, and perfectly curated for sunset drinks or a memorable dinner.
The food is creative and well-executed, with a strong Mediterranean influence and a focus on quality ingredients and bold flavors. Dishes are beautifully presented and feel designed for both taste and experience.
Service is polished and attentive, with staff who are welcoming and professional, helping the evening flow smoothly from start to finish.
What really makes Cielo by Florentine stand out is the atmosphere—it has that perfect balance between upscale dining and lively rooftop energy, making it ideal for a special night out, celebrations, or a sunset dinner that turns into a long evening.
Highly recommended if you’re in Marbella and want something memorable with views, energy, and excellent food.

We had such a lovely experience! Annah was our waitress and she was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. You can really tell she enjoys her job and cares about the guests.
The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Combined with the great service and the warm, cozy atmosphere, it made for a perfect evening.
Thank you, Annah and the whole team for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back!

Okay food but very over pricd like eg the small pcs of meet for 55 EUR plus the 10% service charge. The Hendricks gin and tonic for 24 EUR served without cucumber and pepper etc. The lobster pasta was great. Rushed service with just 5 min in between starter and main course etc.

Arturo from the beginning was amazing, from the subtle details of asking to keep the food warm, whilst my fiancée freshened up, to the vibes he provided, the service was incredible, the beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, and the Juz was delicious. Everybody treated us wonderfully and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you to everyone for an evening we won’t forget.

Gorgeous venue, and excellent food! Fefi was absolutely amazing - we had booked a table at Cielo but decided we wanted to eat off the Florentine menu so she organised a table in the main restaurant for us and was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful experience at Garum in Marbella. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was presented with great care and attention to detail. What made our evening even more special was the service provided by Jiel.

I really wanted to like this place but here are the reasons for my rating,
- order was taken incorrectly which I sensed when we ordered and corrected
- Then I got the wrong starter, they replaced it
- as a side order I asked for potato gratin which was absolutely awful, dry and not creamy and it had carrot in it!!! What the actual..... They replaced it with chips but by then my steak had gone cold as well as the pepper sauce, they didn't offer to do anything about that which was not a good sign
- steak was overcooked, I asked for rare but see attached pictures
At that point I had enough so I skipped dessert and just wanted to get out of there. I do have one good thing to say , the risotto was decent but overall I regret going and being swayed by the high score here on Google.

Best food ever, honestly everything we had was incredible. The flavours, the quality, just spot on.
The staff were just as amazing, super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.

This was the best restaurant that we have been to since visiting Spain. We have been to multiple cities in Spain, and this hands-down was the most enjoyable dinner. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I ordered medium rare and it was done better than I have had anywhere. The Seabass and risotto was fantastic with great balance of flavors. The croquettes, wow absolute delicious. Presentation is done very well. Great atmosphere. Great views. Great wine choices and fantastic drinks. All staff were very friendly, and a special thank you to Monica. She was so pleasant and kind. She really made our night. You will not be disappointed going here. Price is also very fair for portion size and quality.

If you’re looking for a nice dinner location, I’d like to highly recommend this place. It has a great location with a sea view, easily accessible, wide choice of food and amazing service. Price for quality is superb.

Absolutely exceptional experience at El Lago. I first brought my colleagues and partners here, and later returned for an important business lunch with champagne to celebrate closing a deal with a client.
The lunch was outstanding, but what impressed me even more was my client’s reaction while signing the documents, he said this was one of the best places he had visited in Marbella.
The champagne and wine selection are superb, the interior is beautiful, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. You can have a proper conversation while surrounded by nature and the lake.
I truly love this restaurant and will definitely keep coming back again and again.
Tatiana Busygina★★★★★
We recently held our company event at this wonderful restaurant, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. From start to finish, everything was simply excellent.
The ambiance of the dining hall was just right – elegant, warm, and perfectly set for a memorable evening. The team went above and beyond by preparing a special menu just for us, and every dish was delicious and thoughtfully presented.
The staff’s professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out – attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead.
And the cherry on top? The breathtaking lake view from the terrace. It added a magical touch to the whole experience.
We left completely happy and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to combine great food, outstanding service, and a stunning setting.
Thank you for making our corporate event so special!
Caleb Kung★★★★☆
We dined al fresco at the restaurant. The neighbourhood and environment were quite good, very quiet and enjoyable. Food turned out to be excellent, probably little to no criticism. Service was quite slow and could be better although the staff were very friendly and obliging, simply looking very understaffed. There was on site parking making it very convenient. Was a decent experience overall.
Valerii Petrianyk★★★★★
A fantastic restaurant in Marbella, featured in the Michelin Guide, with exceptional service and very interesting, high-quality dishes. What really stands out is the wine and champagne selection one of the largest champagne collections on the Costa del Sol, with many unique and lesser-known houses that you rarely find elsewhere in Marbella.
Combined with great food, beautiful views, and a relaxed atmosphere, it makes El Lago a truly special place. Perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Highly recommended!
Where in Marbella★★★★★
One of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences in Marbella.
Not just a restaurant, but the kind of place that turns dinner into an entire evening. Sunset over the lake, wine, beautifully plated seasonal menus, and themed gastronomic events that somehow always feel intimate, elegant, and deeply relaxed at the same time.
There’s a reason El Lago keeps appearing in Michelin, Repsol, and Macarfi guides.
Romantic, atmospheric, delicious.

A true exceptional experience. The dégustation menu is a great travel across the Southern region of Spain.
Great culinary experience worth the attendance. Superb quality and the Grand Marnier souffle was sublime finish to the night.
Mark Barner★★☆☆☆
Really nice looking restaurant but not worth it and not value for money. Maybe if you like the white truffle then it might be worth it.
We got 2 oysters but one was bad and we told them but they didn’t make it up for us.
This place was empty on a Thursday at 20-22 and now I understand why.
I heard they got a Michelin star and we don’t understand why.
It’s over priced even if the interior is cool but it’s not good enough.
The waiter took my starter with the vieira con salsa cítricos before I had all the juice and then came back with it as the others didn’t finish either.
Music was pleasant and calm.
Interior colors are nice.
The risotto was very strange and salty and even with the old parmasan cheese I asked for on it, it still was odd tasting and nobody at the table liked it eaither. We told them kindly but they just said sorry and came back and told me it was me that had a problem with the taste and not their dish. This I found very offensive as I have had 3 risottos the last 5 days at the best restaurants in marbella and puerto banus. I sound like a prude but I really am disappointed by that they didn’t deduct it from my bill or even offered a better oyster or something else.
Even if this is the best they can do it makes me not thinking if it’s worth to bring more clients or friends here. It feels like they don’t understand their visitors but instead think their ways is the only way.
I wished it was as good as other Michelin starred places but we only got 4 starters and we are 3 people.
I also wonder why a nice place like this has plastic plants with these high prices it seems like the concept fails a bit.
I hope this will inspire the place to become better as I’m sure they really tried their best.
Petteri Pertola★★★★☆
Unconventional and homely interior decor for a Michelin recommended restaurant with impeccable service. Clever food presentation. Still, only three or four out of the eleven course tasting menu were memorable, delicious experiences. The tartar on the toast was great, while the pigeon was less interesting. Very expensive for two including drinks, not sure i would pay this much again for the quality.
Alexandra Nabiullina★★★★★
Delightful and peaceful restaurant where quality and attention details take a central stage. Place that focuses on products in season so the menu would always include something fresh and new for you to try. It is on a higher price range, however, what you receive during the whole dining experience is absolutely worthy.
Maxim Petropavlov★★★★★
An outstanding experience, from start to finish.
The unique atmosphere and decorations, attentive and friendly service and creative and masterfully cooked dishes combined to form a highly memorable dinner.
I certainly reccomend to try one of Areia’s signature cocktails as an apéretif, I found my “Jasmine Gimlet” to be perfect for a summer evening.
As for the food, the smoked eel, the highly creative foie gras millefeuille and the suckling lamb from la Mancha were the highlights of the meal.
A visit to Areia is absolutely worth the high price tag.

We had a lovely evening at Candela with the family. The atmosphere was great, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome.
I started with the salmon and mango, which was really fresh and delicious. For the main course, I had the pork fillet medallions, which were cooked perfectly, and I finished with the cheesecake — a great way to end the meal.
My wife and children chose different dishes, and they enjoyed their meals very much as well. Everyone was really happy with the food.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The waiters were incredibly kind, friendly and attentive, and their recommendations were spot on. They clearly knew the menu well and helped us make some great choices.
We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely come back. Candela perfectly combines the magic of Marbella’s city centre with great taste and professionalism. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a place to eat with my girlfriend, beacause she just celebrated her birthday, when we walked next to Candela, the smell of food brought us into the restaurant. Overall perfect ambience and very profesional aproach from the team. Was a very special night for us, Thank you Candela, thanj you Andres !

Adina Radu★★★★★
Messina in Marbella was honestly one of the most relaxing and beautifully executed Michelin experiences I’ve had so far.
What impressed me the most was not only the food, but the atmosphere and extraordinary attention to detail. Everything felt calm, elegant and incredibly thoughtful — more relaxing than a massage, honestly. The service was exceptional. I’ve been to a few Michelin restaurants before, and very rarely have I seen this level of care for ambiance and guest experience.
Every course came with different cutlery, each set unique and surprisingly beautiful in its own way. The constant changing of plates and presentation pieces made the entire dinner feel theatrical without ever becoming forced.
Even the presentation of the first amuse-bouche was memorable: served in transparent bowls filled with hot water, creating this fascinating visual effect where you almost didn’t know whether to drink it like a tea or enjoy it like a consommé.
The second amuse-bouche was equally impressive. It came with a whipped butter that had an incredible texture and creaminess, even if, flavor-wise, I’ve probably had richer butters before. The olive oil, however, was exceptional — slightly acidic, a little peppery, incredibly flavorful.
Oddly enough, one of the things that stayed in my mind the most was the croissant from the bread basket — just half a croissant, but absolutely sensational. Truly one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
The sea bass was incredibly delicate, soft inside with a beautiful crisp texture. The Argentinian Wagyu beef was outstanding as well, served on an extremely hot plate that kept the texture perfect until the very end. Crispy on the outside, incredibly tender inside, without tightening or becoming chewy as it cooled.
Dessert was another highlight: an apple strudel interpretation based around ice cream rather than pastry dough. Fresh, light, balanced, not overwhelmingly sweet — just beautifully executed. The meringue elements were equally impressive, with this incredible fresh finish that never became heavy.
The wine pairing throughout the seven courses was excellent and matched every dish beautifully.
And even at the very end, they continued surprising us with small chocolates and final details that showed how much thought goes into the entire experience from beginning to end. One of the final chocolates, made with ginger, was absolutely sensational — honestly one of the best chocolates I have ever tasted.

This isn't my first experience at a gourmet restaurant. I'd like to point out that we booked our visit quickly—it's convenient and easy. It's close to the Amare Hotel, where we were staying, so getting there was very easy. It has an intimate atmosphere. The hostesses who served were very pleasant. The dishes arrived fairly quickly. At first, there were some interesting combinations. I was very surprised by the hot dish. It should be a real feast for the taste buds, but it turned out to be quite bland in flavor and filling. The white fish was fillet with a simple fresh vegetable salad. I can't say I was surprised. It was a good blue. Overall, it's not bad. The price-quality ratio is typical. It might be a bit pricey compared to other restaurants. Overall, it's worth a one-time visit for anyone who understands gourmet food.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Messina is everything you hope a Michelin-starred restaurant will be Refined, confident, and quietly brilliant. Every dish was beautifully balanced, creative without being pretentious, and executed with absolute precision.
A special mention must go to Pia in front of house, who was simply outstanding. Warm, intuitive, and effortlessly professional, she struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and ease, making us feel genuinely welcomed and completely looked after throughout the evening.
And of course, Chef Mauricio Giovanni deserves huge praise. His menu tells a clear story that is thoughtful, seasonal, and deeply flavour-driven. Each course felt purposeful and memorable, with a level of technique that never overshadowed taste.
Messina isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. Calm, confident, and deeply satisfying. One of the best dining experiences in Marbella, and absolutely worthy of its Michelin star. We’ll be back without hesitation.

Had a lovely evening at Messina! Everything was delicious, and the owner and staff made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. A special place that I’m grateful to have discovered while in Spain.

This place is strange. The cuisine is great, but the place.. even little creepy 🙂 For people who like this.

Absolutely amazing dinner! The service and chef were spectacular! The bang bang salad and sea bass were the most delicious plates of food ever! The service from Lory and Zety was the best ever!

A disappointing diner experience.
Overall the service was good; we had two waiters and they were polite and professional.
The food is not bad, but it is not great either, and it is very overpriced for what you get. We ordered a few starters to share and the cordon bleu. The starters were nice, presentation well-thought-out, however the flavours were rather underwhelming.
But the biggest let-down was the cordon bleu. The meat was raw inside, and the so-called brie cheese looked more like a cream cheese "coulant" with mild brie flavouring. I couldn't finish it as it was quite sickening. Also, priced at around €80 for two (€40 a plate), it is served with a single tiny spoonful of purée. A rather comical sight of a dish that almost hurt my eyes!
For dessert we shared the large peanut and lime cookie. It was very cold straight from the fridge, which completely masked the textures and the peanut flavour. I took it home and had it for breakfast the next day; at room temperature, it tasted significantly better. For a 28€ dessert, you expect a lot more care in how it's served.
The bill came out to around €280 for two, with a cocktail and a glass of wine each. But a beautiful atmosphere cannot make up for average, poorly executed food. Definitely not worth the price.

Probably so far our worst dinner of our trip, which is disappointing as we’ve dined in Lena Dubai and had a great evening.
We sat on the terrace which was lovely and we much preferred it to the restaurant.
Went to order and the waiter pushed to upsell twice. I understand it’s part of the role but there is a way to do so and when we say no.. we mean no.
We ordered the steak tartare which says on the menu made at the table.. it wasn’t. We also ordered chicken empanadas which were nice.
Main we ordered the Angus rib eye (medium), with mash potato and green beans. The beans were quite dry but the steak and mash were so greasy.
No one came over to see if everything was okay. We didn’t eat probably half of the steak. We were done then asked for the bill. Waiter asked if everything was good and we were very honest, then shocked by his attitude saying it was the steak and if we said something if would have done something about it. Not a way to speak to a customer especially one who wasn’t overly happy. Anyway he never returned.. someone else came with the bill which we felt like he was avoiding us. Not great.
€300 for dinner for 1 mocktail, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of red, 2 small bottles of water, 2 starters, 1 main and 2 starters. Very expensive for what it was, despite it being Marbella and in such a nice resort. Especially given the service was 👎🏽

Absolutely disappointing from start to finish. Both the service and the prices were terrible, and the price-to-quality ratio was nowhere near acceptable.
We ordered the mini burgers, which were apparently awarded a Michelin distinction in 2019, for €30. They were okay, but the meat certainly did not taste high-quality and had a very unpleasant smell.
Then came the €110 tomahawk steak. At this point, we honestly questioned whether it was even a tomahawk. We ordered it medium, but it arrived completely raw and cold. We sent it back twice. The first time, it came back essentially just as raw and cold as before. The second time, we specifically asked the waitress to please cook the meat properly to medium. Her attitude throughout the entire evening was extremely rude, irritated and aggressive. And this was despite the restaurant not even being particularly busy.
The situation became even more ridiculous when we noticed a €5 per person service charge added to the bill for this awful service. We were also served another €9 bottle of water that we had never ordered, which was poured into our glasses with an astonishing amount of attitude and disrespect.
The only thing we actually enjoyed were the fries. But even those came in a tiny bowl for €8, which is absurd for the quantity.
We have eaten at numerous Michelin-starred and fine-dining restaurants all over the world, and we have genuinely never experienced food this poor in relation to the price combined with such terrible service.
We still paid the bill without making a scene and simply left.
After this experience, it is very difficult to take the positive reviews seriously. It honestly makes us wonder whether some of them are genuine.
Never again!

We had Pedro as a server and we sat on the terrace overlooking the plaza. He was OUTSTANDING! I have a severe peanut and all nut allergy and he took such great care of me. When I eat at restaurants, especially overseas, someone understanding how severe my allergy is is a serious concern. He was incredible and I highly recommend him and this fantastic establishment. Worth every penny! Definitely sit overlooking the place.
Sarah Egan★★★★☆
Nice food, but a bit too pricey for what you get. Waitress put a bread basket on our table while we waited for food. We hadn't ordered this and she never even asked us if we wanted it, so we assumed it was complimentary. Then realised they had added €10 for the bread on the bill. Its not a huge amount of money, it's just felt a bit deceptive and sneaky.

My friend and I are visiting from miami and happened to find Candeal. Omg what a pleasant and amazing experience. We both did the tasting menu. I'm a vegetarian and chef made the adjustments with such ease and expertise. Every thing was beyond delicious and so fresh. The bread has a story. The dishes have a story. Heck the bathroom has a story lol. It was well priced and ample food. Absolutely fantastic and 2 weeks later I'm still thinking about it. The waiters are also splendid and the chef is hot. There is not one thing I can make a negative complaint about. Thank you again guys!

I’m so glad I didn’t skip this place just because it doesn’t have a star (not yet, anyway—I’m sure it’s coming!).
My husband treated me for Valentine’s Day 🎁 and we chose the full 'experience' menu. We left full of new flavors, surprises, and amazing wine pairings.
Can you believe toffee popcorn sauce with quail, or bacon with strawberries for dessert? It was such an amazing display of creativity and passion. 100 stars! ✨✨ Highly recommended!

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the dishes was outstanding — refined and elegant while still feeling comforting and homemade. Every plate was beautifully presented, creative, and packed with flavor.
The service was warm, attentive, and professional, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. You can truly feel the passion and attention to detail in every dish.
A perfect balance of high-end dining and authentic, heartfelt cooking. The creativity, the flavors, the atmosphere, and the service were all outstanding. Without a doubt, one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Marbella.
Highly recommended. I will definitely be returning. 👏🍷✨

Without doubt among the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. The price tag is justified for the experience which took almost 3 hours. But time passes by so quickly that you only realize the hours are gone when the last part of the desert is served. Amazing food and service provided in a very lean Japanese style interior.
Ang Neill★★★★★
The food is special, well prepared and presented. The staff while incredibly young demonstrate a level of skill and ability not seen in people twice their age. We truly loved our lunch, it was creative and tasted amazing

One of my Top 5 Japanese Restaurants in the world. Superior to many places in Japan.
One Michelin star does not resemble the quality at all! Very good value for money, perfect regional products, neighborhood atmosphere and a very welcoming young team!
I don't need to talk about the world famous fish quality in Andalusia, but they also got a local salmon substitute (trout) from Granada to keep it completely local - Kaiseki!
The Sommelière is amazing!
My god, how did the do it!

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch here last week. The sushi is omakase style so you are served what the chef recommends that day. We appreciated that it was both very traditional but also innovative, with a young, attentive and very pleasant staff. The selection and knowledge of sakes and Japanese teas was also impressive. We would surely go back next time in Marbella.

Last night, we had dinner at Nintai, and it’s definitely the best restaurant in Marbella. The cuisine, atmosphere, and service were outstanding! The evening felt like a true event. The dishes were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, perfectly paired with sake. We love Japanese cuisine and have tried various omakase spots, but this one is definitely the best.

Nomad is such a beautiful restaurant—I truly enjoyed my solo dinner here tonight. They had plenty of vegetarian options, and every dish was full of flavor. I started with the corn ribs, then had the cauliflower and broccolini with a side of Japanese rice—everything was delicious.
The ambiance is amazing, the servers were kind, and the music was just right. Definitely one of those places you wish you could bring back home—I’d love to have a Nomad in the United States!

We were very happy with the dinner experience tonight. A cozy atmosphere in a great lokation , we sit outside and they have candlelight set up with nice live music (they have every Thursday) The food was so high quality with the best product 🥦Amazing staff, very experienced and friendly.

A beautiful experience. We spent our last evening at Nomad celebrating my friends Hen Do. The service was exceptional, very attentive and polite. Credit to the waitress for being incredibly patient with a rather large party.
The food was gorgeous, beautifully plated, flavours balanced perfectly, a credit to the chef!
Euan ONeil★★★★★
Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Normally, when a restaurant has a great view and atmosphere, the food doesn’t quite live up to it, but this was the complete opposite. We had the pork shoulder and truffle arancini to start, followed by the lamb chops and Korean chicken for mains. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend Nomad. Hassan made us feel very welcome.
Shabana Siddik★★★★★
From the moment we arrived, this Mediterranean gem felt special. We were greeted warmly by Terry at the door, who was an absolute gentleman, and received the best service from Hassan throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot on, and he genuinely made sure we had the best possible experience.
The live entertainment was fantastic — an uplifting female DJ, a live singer with the most melodious voice, completed with a gentleman on the bongo drums. The three of them really brought the restaurant to life.
Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and such a lovely atmosphere. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Terry and Hassan 🙏
Tips for Choosing the Right Fine Dining Restaurant in Marbella
Selecting the perfect venue requires a bit more thought than simply checking a rating. The atmosphere can vary wildly between a beachfront hotspot and a secluded mountain hideaway. To ensure your evening matches your expectations, it is wise to consider the specific nature of your visit before securing a reservation.
Book well in advance for peak season. The best tables in Marbella are often reserved weeks, if not months, ahead during the summer months. If you have your heart set on a specific restaurant, especially those with Michelin stars or limited terrace seating, do not leave your reservation to chance. A last-minute call is rarely successful in July and August.
Clarify the dress code before you go. While Marbella is generally relaxed, many fine dining establishments enforce a smart casual or elegant dress code in the evening. It is better to be slightly overdressed than to feel uncomfortable or be turned away. Check the restaurant’s social media for recent photos of diners to gauge the expected attire.
Consider the location relative to your accommodation. Traffic and parking in Marbella, particularly around Puerto Banús and the Old Town, can be difficult during the evening. If you are planning to enjoy a wine pairing or cocktails, arrange for a taxi or private driver. This allows you to relax fully without worrying about navigating narrow streets or parking garages.
Ask about the menu format before booking. Some of the top restaurants offer only a fixed tasting menu, which can be a lengthy and specific experience. If you are dining with picky eaters or have dietary restrictions, ensure the kitchen can accommodate you. A quick email or phone call regarding allergies or preferences is always appreciated by high-end teams.
Balance the view with the food quality. It is easy to be swayed by a beautiful sunset view, but some of the most scenic spots have mediocre kitchens. Decide what matters most for your specific evening. If the food is the priority, be willing to sit in a dining room without a sea view, as this is often where the true culinary magic happens.
Look beyond the Golden Mile. While the beachfront strip has many famous names, some of the most authentic and impressive fine dining is found in the hills (like Benahavís or Sierra Blanca) or the narrow streets of the Old Town. Venturing slightly off the main drag often yields a more intimate and memorable experience with better value.
The true beauty of Marbella’s fine dining scene lies in its diversity. You can transition from a traditional Spanish "Menu Degustación" in the historic center to a cutting-edge Nikkei experience on the coast within the same weekend. It is a city that rewards the curious eater.
Ultimately, the best meal is one that suits your specific mood and company. Use this guide as a starting point to explore the incredible talent that has made Marbella a benchmark for luxury gastronomy in Southern Europe.
