12 Family-Friendly Hotels near Les Invalides

Finding the right place to stay in Paris can shape your entire trip. If you are planning to visit the Musée de l’Armée, the Dome Church, or simply want to enjoy the sweeping lawns of the Esplanade, staying near Les Invalides puts you in the heart of the 7th arrondissement. This district is known for its elegant Haussmannian architecture, quiet residential streets, and proximity to the Seine.

Unlike the busier areas around the Louvre or Montmartre, this neighborhood offers a calmer, more refined atmosphere. It is particularly appealing for families who want a safe, walkable base without sacrificing access to major landmarks. The wide sidewalks and proximity to green spaces make it easier to navigate with strollers or younger children.

However, not every hotel in this prestigious district is designed with families in mind. Some properties lean heavily toward business travelers or couples, with limited room configurations and strict occupancy rules. Knowing which hotels offer connecting rooms, family suites, or flexible bedding is essential before you book.

The best family-friendly options combine practical amenities like cribs and breakfast buffets with a welcoming attitude toward children. You will also want to consider access to public transport, as the Invalides station connects you to the RER C line and multiple metro routes. This makes day trips to Versailles or the Eiffel Tower remarkably simple.

Dining nearby is another key factor. The streets around Rue Cler, a famous market street, are filled with bakeries, cheese shops, and casual cafés where picky eaters can find something familiar. Staying close to these everyday conveniences reduces stress for parents and makes meal times feel less like a production.

Many families also appreciate being within walking distance of the Seine riverbanks, which transform into pedestrian-friendly zones in the summer. The temporary playgrounds and ice cream stands along the water provide a perfect afternoon escape without needing to use public transport.

Below, you will find a curated selection of hotels that balance location, comfort, and family-friendly policies. These properties have been evaluated based on room configurations, guest reviews, and their ability to accommodate children of various ages.

The room I stayed in was incredibly small, with only a bed and a tiny table. Since I was travelling alone, I did not have any problems in terms of comfort. The view from the window was very poor, but I think that was reasonable considering the price I paid. The location, however, was incredible. Everything was nearby—you could reach the metro, the Eiffel Tower, and the Army Museum within a five-minute walk. Thank you.

I stayed at Hôtel de France Invalides. The location is excellent—right next to Les Invalides, just a few minutes’ walk to École Militaire metro station, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. There are also several supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient. The front desk area is small, and complimentary croissants and tea are offered each afternoon, which is a nice touch. The staff were polite and professional. The room is not large, but very clean. The bathroom includes a bathtub, which is great for relaxing, although the shower pressure is a bit weak. The room setup is somewhat limited—there is only a small round table (already occupied with tea sets), and the chair is too high and quite hard, making it uncomfortable to sit or use a laptop. Soundproofing could be improved, as noise from the hallway is easily heard. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel with good value, but with some minor comfort issues.
Serena Kirkland★☆☆☆☆
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that future travelers can make an informed decision when choosing accommodations. Our room was located directly across from the elevator, and throughout the night we were repeatedly disturbed by the constant flow of guests coming and going. While the noise was certainly disruptive, the most significant issue was the complete failure of the air conditioning. The room remained at approximately 30°C (86°F), making restful sleep nearly impossible. After our first sleepless night, we promptly reported the problem. We were assured on multiple occasions that the issue had been resolved, yet the air conditioning never functioned properly. Over the course of our stay, several fans were provided as a temporary solution; none were effective, and one was, in fact, a heater. Each day, after spending hours exploring Paris, we looked forward to returning to the hotel to rest and recharge. Instead, we faced another night of excessive heat, constant noise, and interrupted sleep. What made the situation particularly disappointing was the hotel’s handling of the issue. Rather than relocating us to a room with functioning air conditioning, we were repeatedly told that the problem had been fixed when it had not. This pattern continued for entirety of our stay. We even witnessed another guest reporting the same air-conditioning problem. By the end of our trip, the cumulative exhaustion had significantly diminished our overall experience in Paris. While the manager offered a 10% discount, the issue was never simply about compensation. No refund can restore the sleep lost, the discomfort endured, or the frustration caused by a problem that was never meaningfully addressed. A hotel’s most fundamental responsibility is to provide its guests with a comfortable place to rest. Unfortunately, this property failed to meet that basic expectation. As a result, I cannot recommend it and would not choose to stay here again.
Carlos Serras Alves★★★★☆
Excellent location with a beautiful view of Les Invalides, just 400 meters from the École Militaire metro station (Line 8). There’s a supermarket nearby, as well as several restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The area is very quiet and feels extremely safe. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable, even with the cold weather outside. In the afternoon, the hotel offers complimentary pastries and tea in the lobby, which is a lovely touch. I highly recommend choosing a superior room with a balcony and a view of Invalides, it’s absolutely worth it. The only downside is the soundproofing. Noise from the hallway and especially from the connecting room doors can be noticeable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional stay with an unforgettable view I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in Paris, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level. The highlight was without question the room with a direct view of Les Invalides — waking up and going to sleep with that iconic golden dome outside the window never gets old. It genuinely elevated the entire stay and made the trip feel special from day one. The room itself was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, with excellent bedding and proper sound insulation (rare and valuable in Paris). Housekeeping was consistently thorough throughout the week. The location is outstanding: central, elegant, and perfectly connected. Walking distance to major sights, great cafés and restaurants nearby, and easy access to transport without the chaos of more tourist-heavy areas. Staff were professional, polite, and helpful, always available without being intrusive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any request was handled efficiently. Overall, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, location, and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a refined Paris stay with a truly iconic view, this is an easy recommendation. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location, step out of the hotel, look right and you’ll see the Eiffel Tower. Seems to be a popular spot for photos. Not far from the metro which was easy to use. The restaurant downstairs is a good stop too. A bit of a refresh is needed, but I understand renovations in older buildings are not easy. Yes, the rooms are a bit on the smaller end but that is normal for buildings of that age. Bed comfortable enough, shower pressure good, staff always greet you with a smile. I would stay here again.

Hotel Le Pavillon was the perfect place for our weekend in Paris! The hotel is centrally located to a ton of great restaurants and shops and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Seine River. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was extremely helpful throughout all parts of the day. I would highly recommend Hotel Le Pavillon to anybody looking for a great rate at a quaint hotel in the heart of Paris.

Our stay at Hotel Le Pavillon was excellent. The staff is so helpful and kind. The room was small but manageable. The location is perfect, so many bakeries and cafes steps away. Short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Close to the metro. When you go out and about they require you to leave your room key with them, which made us feel safe in terms of pick pockets. They can schedule a shuttle to the airport for you which was so convenient. We did not partake in breakfast so cannot comment on thay.

Very cute hotel. If you walk out the front door and look to the right you have a great view of the Eiffel Tower. The young woman who checked us in was extremely pleasant. She was smiling and courteous. She spoke terrific English as well. The room was very nice. The shower was great pressure and hoy water. Bed was comfortable and large. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. (The overnight clerk was also very nice when we checked out in the AM. Great employees!)

We stayed at Hotel de La Motte Picquet for five nights in June with our two children and had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. We couldn't hear any street noise and had no issues with climate control. Staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was lovely with coffee, juice, pastries, bread, yogurt, and cereal. You can also order an omelette if you like. We loved the location as well. Would absolutely return in the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our first trip to Paris. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by really friendly staff. Check in was very quick and efficient. The room was fantastic. There was no noise from outside, the climate control worked brilliantly and there was a good view onto the street outside. The mini bar of soft drinks was a very welcome touch after long days out exploring. The location is superb. Right next to a Metro station and only 10 minutes or so walk from the Eiffel Tower. On the last day, our train wasnt until late afternoon and staff allowed us to leave our bags and collect them later on meaning we could make the most of the day without having to carry heavy luggage around. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! We'll definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at Hôtel de la Motte Picquet for three nights in late May 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. My husband found it through the Rick Steves Paris guide, and it did not disappoint. It’s located in the Rue Cler neighborhood, which is beautiful and very family friendly, and it’s about a 15-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. It’s also very close to a Metro stop and tons of delicious restaurants. The hotel was quaint and very clean, and the staff was so kind and helpful. We did not pay extra for the breakfast, because there are so many easy food options nearby. There are four of us (two adults and two teens), and we opted for two rooms with two single beds each. Our rooms were on different floors, but that was not an issue for us. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, and there is an A/C unit in each room, which we appreciated because Paris temperatures were very hot—way above normal—all three days we were there. We would definitely stay there again!
Brian Hinderer★★★★★
My family of four (two adults & two teenagers) had an excellent experience. The room was clean & comfortable, the people were helpful, and the location was perfect. An easy ride on the subway to/from the airport and short walks to restaurants and the Eiffel Tower. Would definitely stay here again.
Matthew Krott★★★★★
Loved our stay here. Staff was kind and welcoming, and you can’t beat the location. Depending on your room, you might even be able to spot the Eiffel Tower out your window. Short walk to the Tower, a grocery store, some good pastry/coffee shops, and several metro lines.

Everything about this hotel changes the narrative about smallish French hotels. Many large rooms. Friendly staff. New and well appointed furnishings. Did I mention great air conditioning? The staff (especially Nicolas) patiently answered all of my many, many questions before our arrival. I was concerned that the pull out bed might not work as a "real" bed for a family of four, but the mattress seemed like a regular mattress, not one of those semi-mattresses in the US. The rooms appeared newly redone and the furniture for storage was plentiful. The room got so cold from the A/C that we had to turn it UP to make it comfortable. After several days of 90s degree weather, it was great to come back to a fully cool room. I can highly recommend room 101 that overlooks the Rue Cler and know that it will work for a family of four very easily. The staff had lots of good advice about transport and readily stored our luggage for a few hours so we could make the most of our final day in Paris. Be sure to contact the hotel directly for the best rates (email or their own website).

The Grand Hôtel Lévêque is perfect. The location is great. There are lots of food and grocery shops on the street (Rue Cler). We ate breakfast and lunch either in the room or on foot and there are plenty of great choices next to the hotel. Rue Cler is like a mini Paris w/o the tall neoclassic columns and triangular pediments. The hotel is clean, safe, and sweet. The staff is nice and attentive. They have a $15 breakfast down stairs including eggs but we did not do it. The single room with a queen is small. The bathroom is small. For one person it is perfect. 2 ppl would have to squeeze their stuff in. But I'd definitely stay there again. Once again it is a great locations with tons of necessities for sale on the same street. There is a lot of "life" on the street. Great vibe, etc. Everyone is friendly except maybe some of the grocers are over worked. But we were there the week of a vicious heat wave--93 F & muggy. The week before and after we came it was in the 70's with rain. I did not like the heat wave.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, the rooms were very clean, and the daily housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. A special thanks to Sahel at the reception desk, who was incredibly helpful and made our stay even better with her kindness and excellent service.

Beautiful Hotel with excellent service!! Front desk staff was amazing. Spoke English and Spanish and were very accommodating. Our room was nice and very spacious with a great view of the street below. The location of this hotel is also a huge plus! Lots of cafes, shops, and markets on the same block and all around. Full of tourists and locals alike. Highly recommend.

This is a great little hotel right in the heart of Paris. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, and almost everything you’d want to see in Paris is within a 30-minute walking distance. We booked through Expedia and initially received a small room with no view, and there was a minor water leak issue. However, the staff handled it exceptionally well — they were kind, responsive, and quickly upgraded us to a better room with a nice view. That level of service really stood out. The hotel is perfectly located on a lively street with plenty of restaurants and local shops, which made it very convenient and enjoyable. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and offered great recommendations on things to do, and room service was reliable and efficient. Rooms are smaller compared to typical U.S. hotels, but that’s expected in Europe and didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Paris.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The hotel has a fantastic location, making it very easy to enjoy Paris on foot, with great cafés and landmarks just nearby. What really stood out was the quality of service. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant and effortless, with a real sense of care and professionalism throughout my stay. Merci beaucoup!

Soraia at the front desk helped us with check in and was so kind and accommodating to help me manage my mistake of accidentally booking two rooms. The location of this hotel is great (we could see the Eiffel Tower from our room!) and the rooms were clean. Great stay and would recommend!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hôtel Relais Bosquet in Paris. The location is absolutely perfect — centrally situated and within walking distance of so many iconic landmarks, charming cafés, bakeries, and boutiques. It made exploring the city effortless and enjoyable. The hotel itself is warm, elegant, and beautifully maintained. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a cozy retreat after long days of sightseeing. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere ensured a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to help with recommendations, directions, and any requests. Their kindness added a personal touch that made the stay even more special. If you’re looking for a charming, centrally located hotel with outstanding service in Paris, I highly recommend Hôtel Relais Bosquet. I would happily stay here again on my next visit.

I have been staying at Hotel Relais Bosquet since before the pandemic, based initially on Rick Steves' recommendation. It took just one stay to make it my go-to for visits to Paris. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The room-darkening shades are a bonus, after a trans-Atlantic flight, allowing for a quick nap before sightseeing in and around nearby Rue Cler. Special praise for Christian at the front desk, who is patient when I try to speak French, and for the gentleman (whose name I don't know) who oversees the buffet during the week. He treats guests as if they were visiting his own home. Much appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel -- and I'll be back!

The hotel staff were wonderful. They provided dinner recommendations, called taxis and were extremely courteous and professional. The location was great for walking and public transportation. We enjoyed the Rue Cler area and would definitely recommend this hotel. The breakfasts were also very delicious

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location was excellent, very near to metro just in front of the hotel, making it easy to explore Paris and visit the major attractions. The breakfast was okay and good, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and elegant. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the excellent service throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. I would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay at the First Hotel. The service throughout the hotel was warm and professional. Special thanks to Omar from the front desk, when I checked in being told I was the last guest who arrived ( was around midnight) he said he gave me the best room with amazing view, which is very nice touch of him and his hospitality skills, especially to me after a long journey and feeling knackered. Rooms and bed are spacious and super clean with a views of Eiffel Tower. They clean the room daily and there's a TV, AC, USB plugs, WiFi, coffee corner, free bottle of water, a nice clean bathroom with shower and amenities. Overall, First Hotel is a fantastic small modern boutique hotel, made me feel like home, good location close to train station, cafés, restaurants & shops. I highly recommended this hotel and will 100% stay here again.!!

Great location the only problem was the room size. The local restaurants were great and affordable but the best of the bunch was the local bakery below the hotel. OMGOSH the food is divine. Unless you can get a bigger room I wouldn't stay with a family more than a week but some of us may like a closer family space. Each to there own I guess.
Yael Tserruya★☆☆☆☆
Service not very friendly if you have a reservation. Room rates change by 50-60% in matter of days. I booked hotel room for 290. Then for the second room they charged 194. Same room. Same date. I have never seen such huge price difference for the same date of stay and only because the bookings were made within a 1-2 weeks difference. Seems non reliable. And talking to the hotel team only made me feel worse. I should have canceled my cancelable room a day before, and rebook it again. it would have saved me 100 euros. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
Andrew 82★★★★★
Definitely one of the best hotel. We booked the "guaranteed eiffel tower view" room. We arrived at the hotel and was very surprised to be greeted by 5 staff members with all smiles. They were so professional too. One of the male staff took our bags for storage because we got there at 12pm and can't check in until 3pm. Check in at 4pm and was surprised again that our room was on the top floor with great views of the Eiffel Tower from the windows. The room was spacious even with the sofa bed opened. Bathroom has essential like shavers and toothbrush if you forgot to bring. We took so many photos during day time and at night with a sparkling view of the tower. Walking distance to the tower, supermarket, train, and restaurants. There is an excellent bakery in the ground floor.

I stayed here in April 2026 during my first solo trip to Paris and was happy with my decision. I highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quieter residential area that is still within walking distance to trains and sightseeing locations. The room was very spacious and clean with plenty of towels, a drying rack, and a mini-fridge with free beverages, which was very helpful when I got back to my room late and the shops were closed. All the employees were also very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately I got sick during my trip and had to figure out how to find a doctor with the Doctolib app and they let me use the hotel’s number because the app doesn’t accept American phone numbers. I accidentally locked myself out of my room twice, which was embarrassing, but they got me new cards without a problem. I have recommended this hotel to other friends and would absolutely stay here again on a future trip.

We are so glad we found this hotel for our recent visit. 7 of us , myself and 6 daughters in 4 rooms * King/twin beds in 3 rooms so everyone had their own comfortable bed! *Reasonable price. Book direct! Great communication beforehand *Fantastic location with a 15 minute or less walk to the Eiffel Tower and many of our destinations. On a charming street with cafes, bakeries, shopping, groceries, pharmacies and more. *Elevators and good air conditioning *Free water and coke in room fridge restocked daily. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in a great location. The 7th arrondisment. The rooms are very clean and it is a very quiet hotel. Eugenia and Lia at the front desk is very helpful and very sweet. Each day there are fresh baked croissants in the breakfast room. It also is right across the street from a laundromat that takes credit cards and is kept very clean, which is a must after traveling a few weeks.

Rooms in Paris are smaller and fully understand this, we actually had 2 rooms (family of 5) and felt a little cramped but it was expected. I would've given 5 stars but I believe the floors / trash small things couldve been more clean. Beds were clean and comfy, would stay here again just knowing these to let you know. We could lean out our window on one side and see Eiffel Tower which was incredible but that also meant by street which was louder. The other room did not have street view but much quieter!

Our experience at this hotel was spectacular! The rooms are clean and nice, and the location is superb! Close to the metro, which gives you easy and quick access to all of Paris. Also walking distance to Eiffel tower, and some of the nicest areas in town. Staff is superb, really better service than a five star hotel. Super friendly 🙂 Really the perfect hotel for a vacation in Paris!

Some of the previous reviews were a bit all over the place. However, we found the Garibaldi a really good option for our needs: * Located in the 15th arrondissement, the Eiffel Tower was only a 20 mins walk away * There are several bus and train options nearby so you can enjoy Paris through public transport * Rooms were nicely made up every day. As with Paris hotels, th room size will always be a bit of a tight squeeze, but it was ok for us * Othello was a great host and took care of everything In short, great hotel from a budget and location point of view.

The hotel was in a perfect setting, close to the Metro and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The staff were very friendly, polite and accommodating. This is the sixth time I have stayed at this lovely hotel. It is very near many metro stops, and is down the street from the Rodin museum and Napolean's tomb. Within easy walking distance of the Rue Cler and the Musee D'Orsay. Very nice quiet neighborhood, with several little markets across the street for snacks and beverages. A bakery is next door. Very nice restaurants locally--great to explore. Service is lovely (helps to say Bonjour when you first come in). Continental breakfast served on the terrace outdoor in the morning is delightful. I agree that it would be much much much nicer if they did not allow smoking outdoors, since that would be much more enjoyable and healthful for non-smoking guests who don't wish to be exposed to second hand smoke. The rooms are larger than most standard European hotel rooms. The air conditioning was amazingly effective. Good wifi. Not super cheap, but a great value.
Heather M★★★★☆
Maybe most important: The property is a central location. The negs: -No water pressure in the shower. -The buffet tables are not old traditional or very french feeling; A table cloth and better flatware would go a long way for making the plain buffet feel more inviting and cute quaint. -They allow smoking in the courtyard so eating outside is not an option for a non smoker. -Carpet flooring in the rooms The pos: -If the price is right for you, then it is a good find for a few+ nights in Paris. -It is clean and cute and the rooms are average or slightly larger size. -The staff are warm; some are friendly, and some are polite; A list of good local brasserie's, restaurants, and evening lounges on a small pocket sized simplified walking map would be a great item for guests upon check in. -Great location, central to many top tourist sights and a few good neighborhoods, as well as evening lounges, brasseries, and just night time strolls.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this so-called 4-star hotel. Honestly, this establishment does not deserve its rating at all. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was cold and unprofessional. They were neither welcoming nor friendly, and it genuinely felt as though guests were a nuisance. As for the room, it was a disaster: dust everywhere, very poor housekeeping, and an overall feeling of dirtiness. For a hotel of this standard, this is completely unacceptable. There was also a strong sewage smell in both the room and the hallways, which made the stay very unpleasant. The carpet was in terrible condition — extremely old and worn out, as if it had not been changed in decades. It gave the entire hotel a neglected and outdated atmosphere. The breakfast was equally disappointing: very limited choices, poor-quality products, and careless presentation. Once again, far below what anyone would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Reese Mugerditchian★★★☆☆
Spacious and comfortable rooms, reliable AC, and friendly staff were the highlights. The rooms could use a deep cleaning and they don't allow guests to eat personal food in the garden even though thier menu is highly limited. While it is centrally located it is a bit far from popular sights for young guests.

Fresh warm/cold breakfast. The staff are kind and attentive. Elevator access and staircase asses. The bathroom stunning. Air conditioner included. The room spaces are enough in what you need. Very clean and the bed are very comfortable.

I loved this hotel. It was in a quiet area and the views and breakfast was amazing. You could actually see the Eiffel Tower when you walked out the building. Taking off a star due to some odd issues. The Black guy who worked the night shift was a little rude and just seemed irritated/ didn’t want to interact with others. I get it’s night time and you may not want to interact with customers but I didn’t like coming down or getting orders since he was there. It was my first time in Europe and having an employee not being warm and welcoming was just not the best. A couple times when I was down getting food I didn’t even see him and the one time I saw him coming inside he was just sitting in the corner. It was a little odd but I realized he was sleeping in my last couple days in Paris. There was renovations happening in the hotel and one of the days the paint smell was very strong even though they opened all the windows. The rest of the staff were very welcoming and nice. Marie Louise was awesome along with the brunette girl who worked in the mornings/afternoon. Besides those little issues everything else was great and staying here was a great option. I can see why this hotel is sold out most of the time. If you need somewhere to stay in Paris that’s safe and in a good location Le Montparnasse is a good choice

This is, overall, a nice hotel for Paris. The room was well organized, and functional. The people were friendly. One drawback is that it is fairly noisy despite modern windows because of the intense traffic and, I think, the metro passing under. I would certainly suggest earplugs. I also was not impressed by the breakfast, which was not bad, but not great I would definitely go back because decent hotels in Paris can be hard to find without spending enormous amount of money.

Montparnasse Hotel Best Western is a small, clean and comfortable hotel. We loved it. Staff are friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. Montparnesse has plenty of food places nearby. Beautiful atmosphere around Montparnesse.

The location is great! This hotel is close to a lot of metros and a big train station. It was really easy being able to get to all the touristy places without being in the crowded areas. The restaurants around here were fantastic! The actual hotel itself was very clean and the breakfast was amazing! The staff was always super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at this adorable hotel and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—even offering to carry my bags up to the room, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having a private bathroom was a definite plus. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything and perfect for exploring the city. The free internet was fast and reliable, which was a great bonus. That said, the room itself was quite small, and getting to it involved navigating a narrow spiral staircase, which might be tricky for some travelers. The bathroom was compact but manageable; however, the shower was exceptionally tiny, which could be a challenge for taller/larger guests. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall charm and hospitality made for a delightful stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy, well-located place with a personal touch.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. This hotel was not what was advertised online. The website looked cute, however when I arrived the place was completely run down (chipped paint, possibly black mold), dirty and not what I was expecting. The room I booked for 230eu looked liked like a low grade hostel. When I expressed my concerns, they offered me other rooms in the hotel, which did not meet my criteria as well. I didn't feel comfortable staying there. The place felt dirty, desolate and empty. **Checked out the minute I arrived. Meanwhile, I am experiencing no sleep from the flight and travel anxiety.. But that didn't stop them from charging me for 5 nights. I am currently disputing the charge. Luckily, my friend had the insight to book a hotel around the corner for the same price (her points worked there so she chose that instead of my original suggestion of Hotel Malar.) It was warm, clean and had updated bathrooms. Save your money and find a better location. There are MANY better options around the corner.

I paid $555 US for three nights in this hotel. The location was the best thing about it. I thought breakfast was covered, but it wasn't and I was surprised by a $75 charge for 4 breakfasts! Their offerings were definitely not worth it. I had a friend spend one night with me. I booked this property through Booking.com. I am posting many pictures of one room. It still had some vestiges of mold in the shower, otherwise the room and linens seemed very clean. I feel the communication between the male front desk staff and the female housekeeping staff was lacking to say the least.

Small boutique hotel in the center of Paris. We walked from here to the tower, the Louvre, and most sites we wanted to see. It is not an american type so don't expect a lot of space in the room. But it has a small courtyard and tons of restaurants close by.

Honest staff. I had left my passport and cash on the desk and when I returned it was all still there. Awesome rain head shower with a generous water flow. Clean comfy room.

This hotel was absolutely charming with beautiful Parisian vibes. One of the things we loved most was that the hotel offered complimentary coffee, soft drinks, croissants, and sweet treats throughout the day, which was such a nice touch. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and they made us feel very welcome during our stay. The location is excellent—about a 10-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. The neighborhood is lovely, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and salons nearby, making it very convenient. The only downside was the size of the rooms and corridors. They were extremely small, and there wasn’t even enough space to fully open a suitcase. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive, with a special mention to Islem for excellent service. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and quality. The rooms are well designed, though they feel slightly smaller than they appear in the photos. Our only real issue was the temperature, as the room was consistently too warm and difficult to cool down. The location is excellent, set in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. It’s quiet, safe, and pleasant, making it a great base for exploring the city.

This hotel was a lovely stay. Their breakfast is incredible, the staff and service was great as well. The rooms are gorgeous but very tiny, so if you want more space then ask when you're booking if you can get a bigger room with a view of the eiffel tower. The hotel is walking distance to many amazing things to see in Paris, and there are many delicious restaurants close by.

This was our second stay at Hotel Duquesne, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. Check-in was quick and smooth, and our room was clean, cozy, and offered a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is in a great location, with everything you need just a short walk away. If you need recommendations for restaurants, attractions, or anything else, don’t hesitate to ask Islem. He is incredibly helpful and will do everything he can to make your stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to Islem, Drichelle, and Melanie for their outstanding service and warm hospitality. The reception is available 24/7, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, the air conditioning was excellent, the minibar was well stocked, and the breakfast was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location, very walkable to everything! Room is small but that’s okay. The fresh croissants in the morning are exceptional! The shower had lots of black mold, and the drains were clogged / very slow. The water provided was not sealed and was very dirty, we did not consume it. The highlight, the view of the Eiffel Tower was fantastic!

Tips for Choosing a Family Hotel near Les Invalides

Selecting the right hotel requires more than just looking at a map. The 7th arrondissement has a distinct character, and understanding how to navigate its hospitality landscape will save you from booking a room that feels too cramped or unwelcoming. Here are a few practical considerations to keep in mind before you confirm your reservation.

Check for true family rooms, not just extra beds. Many Parisian hotels will offer to add a rollaway bed to a standard room, but this often leaves little floor space for luggage or play. Look for properties that advertise dedicated family suites, duplex rooms, or guaranteed connecting rooms. A separate sleeping area for parents makes evenings far more relaxing.

Prioritize proximity to the Rue Cler market street. While being next to Les Invalides is convenient for sightseeing, being near a daily market street is a game-changer for families. You can easily pick up fresh fruit, pastries, and simple meals without relying on restaurant dining for every meal. This saves money and accommodates unpredictable children’s schedules.

Confirm the elevator size and accessibility. Many historic buildings in the 7th arrondissement have narrow or outdated elevators. If you are traveling with a stroller, a large suitcase, or a child who still needs to be carried, ask about the lift dimensions before booking. Some boutique hotels have spiral staircases that are charming but impractical for families.

Look for breakfast policies that include children. Hotel breakfasts in Paris can be expensive, especially when charged per person. Some family-friendly properties offer free breakfast for children under a certain age or include it in the room rate. This small detail can significantly reduce your daily expenses and streamline your mornings.

Consider the noise level of the street. The grand boulevards near Les Invalides can be busy with traffic during rush hour. While the area is generally quieter than other central districts, rooms facing an interior courtyard are usually the best choice for light sleepers and young children. Ask for a high floor or a courtyard view when making your reservation.

Choosing a hotel near Les Invalides gives your family a chance to experience a more authentic, residential side of Paris. You will be steps away from world-class history while enjoying the daily rhythms of a neighborhood where locals shop for bread, walk their dogs, and sit in the park after school.

Whether you spend your days exploring the golden dome of Napoleon’s tomb or simply picnicking on the grass outside, this district offers a balanced pace for travelers with children. With the right hotel as your base, the 7th arrondissement can feel less like a tourist stop and more like a temporary home in the heart of the city.
