Finding a great meal in the heart of Paris often feels like a double-edged sword. While the historic center offers unmatched atmosphere, it is also notoriously filled with overpiced tourist traps serving mediocre food. The area surrounding the Place de la Concorde, however, defies this stereotype if you know exactly where to look.
This prestigious district acts as a bridge between the Champs-Élysées, the Tuileries Garden, and the chic Faubourg Saint-Honoré. As such, it hosts a fascinating mix of legendary fine-dining institutions, historic brasseries, and hidden neighborhood gems. Whether you are refueling after a museum visit or celebrating a special occasion, the culinary options are vast.
The key to dining well here is understanding the geography. The sprawling square itself is mostly dominated by the Hôtel de Crillon and the Tuileries, so the best tables are often tucked away on the surrounding side streets. You will find that walking just five minutes away from the obelisk dramatically increases the quality and authenticity of your meal.
This guide focuses on variety. We understand that your needs might range from a quick, flaky croissant and coffee to a multi-course gastronomic experience overlooking the most famous square in Paris. We have curated a selection that spans budgets and styles, ensuring you do not have to compromise on quality simply because you are in a tourist-heavy zone.
We have personally evaluated these locations based on food quality, consistency, service, and proximity to the Place de la Concorde. While Paris is a city of constant culinary evolution, these establishments have proven their staying power. They offer a genuine taste of Parisian life, far removed from the generic menus found on the main thoroughfares.
Below, you will find a mix of world-renowned temples of gastronomy and beloved local bistros. Each offers something unique, from historical dining rooms that have hosted royalty to modern kitchens pushing the boundaries of French cuisine. You are guaranteed to find a spot that fits your exact craving, schedule, and budget.
To help you navigate this prestigious neighborhood, here are the twelve best restaurants currently located within a short walk of the Place de la Concorde.

What funny experience we had today.
The food was good. The omelette was really tasty along with the coffee.
The elderly gentleman, who served us, was quite casual yet polite from the very beginning. We really liked that approach. We were kind of first customers and when asked he found out from the kitchen that they would prepare the omelettes. After serving us,he continued to be polite and funny, again we liked it. When I went to pay, he included the orange juice in the price that was never mentioned or served. I pointed it out and he was immediately very apologetic and offered us the juices. I thought that was funny. Then he offered us coffees and croissants. We declined the croissants but took the coffees.
Overall it was an interesting experience to say the least and we will definitely go back. In another restaurant, where we paid a lot of money, I complained about the bread that was not served. But in this case I was not bothered as the service was good. And if the main dishes are as tasty as the omelettes, then it will definitely be a good try. I do recommend it.

The food was amazing. We tried duck confit and steak with fries. Both were great. Especially the duck was very good. Special thanks to our waiter, Geoffrey! He was amazing. He made sure that we were well taken care of. We will definitely come again!

Le Florentine is a wonderful surprise and a really enjoyable dining experience, even if you come in solo.
The menu is described as Italian, but honestly, it feels Italian with a strong French influence — and that’s not a bad thing at all. One highlight was the baguette served at the table. Paired with duck liver pâté, it was absolutely delightful and dangerously easy to keep going back for more. Simple, elegant, and done right.
The beef was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, well seasoned, and clearly handled with care. It’s the kind of dish where you can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing.
Service really stood out too. The waiter was friendly, engaging, and attentive, without being intrusive. I was dining alone, and despite the place being super crowded, I never felt awkward or rushed — none of that uncomfortable single-diner vibe that sometimes happens in busy Paris restaurants.
By 6 PM, the crowd was already streaming in, which says a lot about how popular this place is. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal.
Overall, this is a fantastic spot for well-executed food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere — whether you’re dining solo or with company.

A true Parisian experience! 🇫🇷🍷
Le Florentin has a wonderful French atmosphere with classic Parisian charm. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. The wine selection paired perfectly with the meal, and the service was warm and attentive.
If you’re looking for a restaurant with a genuine French vibe, delicious traditional cuisine, and a lovely ambiance in the heart of Paris, I highly recommend Le Florentin.

Having a dinner here at Café Lapérouse is a beautiful mix of classic Parisian elegance and modern energy. The décor is stunning — warm, intimate, and perfect for a special evening. The food was excellent, and beautifully presented.
Service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed. A great choice for date night or a stylish dinner with friends. Highly recommend!

Our food wasn’t that great. The service and atmosphere of the place were really good. But for the price, you don’t get what you paid for 😅

Overall a lovely experience!
Food was solid and we had a very enjoyable dinner. Service was good, but a bit confusing about who did what. Outer tables afford a view of the main avenue, but we quite preferred our seating in the inner courtyard which was beautiful.
Gabriela Babiarczyk★★★★★
We booked a big table here for a Parisian-style afternoon tea, and it was such a lovely experience. The interior is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was great - relaxed and elegant at the same time. The restaurant is tucked away inside a courtyard, which makes it feel calm, cozy and nicely chilled. We had tea, mocktails, cocktails and pretty much the entire dessert menu; everything was delicious!
It’s a perfect spot to catch up and indulge a little; would definitely come back.

The live music created a lovely vibe, complementing the meal perfectly without being too loud. , Every dish was delicious, bursting with fresh flavors that made each bite a delight.
Overall, the entire experience was top-notch. François Felix isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place that invites you to come back and enjoy every moment again. I can’t wait for my next visit.

Overall it was good. I give 4 stars because when we were seated the waitress asked us if we want water and we said yes. She gave us one bottle of still water. Later we saw in the bill that it was 10 euro. Meanwhile on every other table there were bottles of tap water which are free. So, be careful and ask for tap water - don't make our mistake.

My last night in Paris and I found this on Google. What a great little restaurant. The food was so good. I ordered the Beef Bourguignon and it was delicious. The bread was fresh and crispy, perfect for dipping in in the sauce. The desserts were delicious too. The service was great. This restaurant is located in a beautiful area next to the US Embassy.

I was sceptical when I friend reserved this place which is in one of the best palace in Paris. I was wrong it is an amazing place which is way different from the rest of the palace. French traditional food, welcoming ambiance and an extremely good service.
It is not cheap but the quality of food with the service in a very unique ambiance make it worth it!
Thanks to Antoine who did an amazing job!

We love how Chef Paul Pairet stays true to himself. His signature casual look is just as distinctive as his cuisine—unconventional, authentic, and full of personality. It perfectly reflects his creative approach to food.
The restaurant also respects French culinary traditions. Portions are generous, allowing you to truly savour iconic French dishes prepared with care and finesse.
Dining here feels like travelling back in time. Set inside a historic and iconic building, every corner is filled with stories and character. Despite its prestigious setting, the atmosphere is refreshingly relaxed and welcoming, especially on the beautiful alfresco terrace. Far from being intimidating or overly formal, it simply makes you feel at home. We honestly could have spent the entire afternoon there.
A special thank you to Herman, who looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left. His genuine warmth, effortless professionalism, and sincere hospitality made our experience smooth and memorable. He is a true asset and played a significant role in making our visit so satisfying.
The same can be said for the entire team. From the moment we stepped in until the moment we walked out, everyone made us feel genuinely welcomed.
If you’re visiting one of the world’s gastronomic capitals, this is absolutely worth a stop—not only for the excellent food, but also for the opportunity to experience one of the city’s most iconic historic buildings and create lasting memories.

A lunch at Nonos at Hotel de Crillon on place de la Concorde is something I look forward to when visiting Paris. This one was to celebrate a big birthday.A perfect table in courtyard overlooking the entire restaurant.
Staff are friendly and pay attention to every request.A very hot day but food and drinks were perfect in beautiful surroundings.
Crillon is a superb hotel and I highly recommend it to everyone for a special occasion.
I even received a birthday cake with candle which was a lovely touch !

Difficult not to love the place ..... The ambiance is fantastic and decorations are gorgeous, with such a nice and welcoming staff paying attention to every single detail and make us feel special. The food was fantastic, especially the macerated beef. We had a fantastic celebration dinner.
M Gueye★★★★★
Forth visit to Nonos confirmed why it's a good choice. We came for the steak and wine. It's a small, casual spot located inside Le Crillon Hotel. It's cozy and tables are very closed together. The service is always good and the food is delicious. The wine list they called " the Bible " is extensive and borderline overwhelming in the best way. Unless you know exactly what you're hunting for, good luck choosing; there are simply too many great options. The table side-carved bone-in ribeye remains a standout and reason alone to return. Sides are solid and well executed, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. A reliable favorite that continues to deliver.

We had dinner at La Riotte twice during our stay in Paris! It was just delicious and approved by our french guests! The waiters were extremely nice and available. Definetely a great place to eat at if you are in Paris! Burger and the Soup a l’oignon absolutely the beeest!

one of the best experience we had in Paris, not just the warm vibe but the food was excellent also their wine selections are crazy! lots of great selections! Friendly environment with lovely dishes, will definitely go back next time when visiting Paris, again.
Fernanda Lavigne★★★★★
La Riotte is the kind of neighbourhood bistro that makes you feel like you are seeing a more real side of Paris. I went there with friends who live in the city, and it really felt like one of those places mostly locals actually go to. The food is delicious, with a very French menu and several traditional dishes, but the atmosphere feels more contemporary, which works really well with the great wine list full of French wines. The profiteroles were amazing. I really liked this place — it gives you a bit of the feeling of what living in Paris might actually be like.
Iynna Halilou★★★★★
We came as a group of four for a proper family lunch (my parents and my boyfriend), and from the moment we sat down to the end of the meal, everything was top tier! The place is well decorated, super well lit, it also helped that the sun was out, and the terrasse was open, the energy was warm, the service is genuinely attentive (not performative), and the food did the most without trying too hard! We started with a feta dip and waffle chips while we waited, which we thought was a clever twist on the usual hummus/dip-and-pita routine.
For mains: entrecôte for my boyfriend, suprême de volaille for mom, an omelette with fries for dad, and I had the cocotte salad (sorta if Cesar had a baby with a greek salad with some beets and feta haha) ... and of course an endless supply of bread
We were so full but glad we went for dessert: mousse au chocolat (milk chocolate, silky), crème brûlée, and apple confit with vanilla ice cream.
I have to shout out our incredible waitress (young, long blonde hair, sadly I didn't get her name but she was awesome) though she was clearly swamped with a fully packed room, she was super patient with us!
We will definitely be back!
Rita S★★★★★
We stopped into La Riotte for a late-night dinner and ended up having such a lovely experience. We weren’t very hungry, so we kept things light with a salad and fries—but both were excellent. I’m particularly picky about fries, and these were spot on: perfectly crisp and delicious.
Even though we only ordered a couple of small dishes, everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic and the restaurant was full, which always says a lot. The servers were warm and welcoming, and we also appreciated the little details—the beautiful flatware and the care put into the overall atmosphere.
It felt like a true neighborhood spot, relaxed and authentic, and we’re really glad we stopped in. A wonderful place for a late-night bite in Paris.

I randomly came across this cafe and the food ended up being one of the highlight of my trip to Paris. I had the beef tartare which was incredibly fresh and well seasoned. Dropped in for a pint ended with dinner. Service was long, World Cup could be the distraction. Once over, service resumed normal. Waiter was kind, food was good except for the fries, tiny cuts of it. Can’t even dip into the ketchup without messing up.

A great little find after 'doing' the Louvre and walking past the designer shops on Rue Saint-Honore.
We wanted somewhere typically French, with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. Cafe Concorde did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, service isn't rushed and the food was lovely. We had escargot, French onion soup, pork chop and duck breast. Lovely!
There is plenty of indoor, and covered outdoor seating. When we left in the pouring rain, the inside was almost empty - outside was coming alive!

My wife and I ate at Le Soufflé first time in 2009 on our honeymoon, and we just ate there again, this time on a trip with the kids. While it was easily our most memorable meal in Paris years ago, this restaurant remains truly exceptional, still making the world's perfect soufflés. From the Henry IV chicken and mushrooms, to the almond dessert soufflé everything was perfectly cooked, delivered instantly, and just the right balance of fluffy and crisped on top. In all my trips I've never found a better experience, and their 4 course prix fixé lunch menu has excellent options at a completely reasonable price. Merci!
Zach Egan★★★★★
Le Soufflé is an experience of its own in Paris. Come here hungry and you will not regret it! The interior is classy and the service is friendly and professional. The star is the soufflé - you will not find any better elsewhere. The Henri IV soufflé is delicious. The portions are generous but not overly so. All the dessert soufflés are so good, but the pistachio and the raspberry are favorites. Good wine selection as well. The attention to detail when being served is extra special. This is a great spot for special occasions with friends and family.
cindy rivington★★★★★
Exceptional experience! The food was amazing, service friendly and impeccable. They have mastered the art of soufflé, delivering layers of flavour in each of their many options. A must-do when visiting Paris if you want an authentic French meal. Delicious!!
Carol Elias★★★★★
Everything was so fresh and amazingly delicious! The soufflé was larger than I expected and therefore very reasonably priced. The seasonal dessert soufflé is the best dessert I have ever eaten! Both my husband and I had the same reviews about each of our respective choices and we shared the dessert soufflé. (However, next time we are each getting our own dessert soufflés.). This dinner was like nothing you could compare it to and the dessert was even on a higher level.
Charles Hayes★★★★★
What a wonderful gem of a restaurant. I had never have had a soufflé before and so glad I waited for a trip to Paris to have GREAT soufflés. The restaurant is charming and the staff were very attentive. I recommend getting a reservation. The seasonal soufflé was asparagus and crab. A light taste that was not over done. I had also had the chicken and mushroom crepe - think chicken pot pie without the crust. Went with the chocolate soufflé for dessert - so decadent and so delicious. If you are looking for a great restaurant that does not feel “touristy”, this is a great option.

Food was overpriced and tiny but the expresso martini was divine!! The bar tender was friendly and attentive amidst being busy. The dancing in the courtyard was super entertaining and fun - heard it's a once in month event. The dancers even dressed up in 50's era. Super fun to people watch.

I enjoyed a wonderful night here. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful including all the details like the plates and glasses. I also love the terrace view from the window.
The food is high quality and presented beautifully, even the bread is so good, crunch outside and moisture inside. The octopus was cooked by our table and the black pepper sauce is surprisingly good.
The staff is very friendly even though in the elegant setting but they are not cold at all. I think due to the high ceiling, even later when the tables were all full, it wasn’t too noisy to talk.
I highly recommend here for a romantic date
Jay Firenze★★★☆☆
I did so want my last lunch in Paris this trip to be a special treat… but alas it wasn’t special because it was so lovely- it was memorable because it wasn’t so good, alas.
First my Noilly Prat dry vermouth on the rocks pre-lunch drink was brought to table proving NOT the brand I ordered -which I could tell wasn’t as good as the one I’d requested-> Whats going on when this sort of deliberate substitution by any bartender is made..?
In considering what to eat I was intrigued by the published bravery of the menu declaring they were serving the “ authentic “ salad Niciose !..
At € 30 it should have been .. well fabulous.
Frankly I don’t think it was worth the money >> nor do I think it was “authentic “ … but of course that’s the trap : it’s arguably the most varied salad technique in the world & the chef certainly stuck his/her neck on the guillotine on this one!
The former mayor of Nice insists NO cooked vegetables must ever be included I read > and nor does Mimosa’s kitchen!
However many famous chefs (+ popular recipes )always have blanched green beans + top quality whole anchovies with the lettuce..& THERE’s another huge debate!
I didn’t like today’s anchovy in the dressing personally ( far too dominant) not did I appreciate the soft butter lettuce leaves replacing the crunch of baby gem or heart of cos: but debates rage over these things & I suppose if you are from the South of France as is the chef > your opinion must be respected.. but maybe you shouldn’t claim authority & not say it’s “ authentic “ ?
My patient waitperson had his heart on his sleeve over my opinions proffered about the salad ..& I do respect that…but he was with me & hugely embarrassed for me by the vermouth substitution (+ the totally empty pepper grinder I needed to have replaced by one of his colleagues .. )
Such things simply aren’t ok occurring in a well-run restaurant; & he knew that in offering me his obviously most sincere apologies.
Which I was pleased indeed to accept.
So yes, flawed details in house management took the edge off my afternoon’s dining.. there’s no doubt about it > but the salad tasted ok ( €30 price point rather high though ?) & the interior ambiance & general attitudes of everyone made up for the frustrations that should never have occurred.
I’ll be back next time if possible .. but I won’t have the Niciose, thank you all the same!
À qualified recommendation only, alas.
# Funny thing : going to the toilet in a restaurant should be a really nice experience- even a theatrical one that makes one smile?!
Mimosa has an hysterical toilet pan > lid up {or down} you can’t keep a straight face !! Bravo !
Jan Mantel★☆☆☆☆
Terrible food. Service was ok but the lady was clearly waiting for us to leave. I did not see any smile. I had the avocado with yuzu sauce. The presentation could not have been simpler. One avocado for 22€? The entrecote was a disaster. Not more than 1cm thick and therefore overcooked and tough. With large pieces uneadible. The sauce was coming out of the microwave and was discoloured and dried out at the top. For 62€ a shame! Never to be repeated
Escilpe★★★★☆
A friend recommendation to try this restaurant. As I am only order a starter mimosa egg and the tenderloin as main. The egg is creamy and melts in the mouth while the steak is done just right and very flavorful. The fries portion are just too big. Overall a good dinner

If you’re looking for a good place, with great service and exceptional atmosphere, this is a perfect spot.

A great place for traditional French fare with excellent service by the great staff who took care of us. A great meal to end my sister and I's first night in Paris! I'm no French food expert, but I really enjoyed my beef tartare and the creme brulee we split for dessert. It was also the perfect amount of food and I left feeling very content.
We came around 6:30pm on a Sunday evening and were easily able to get a seat outside. It became a lot busier even just half an hour later, but the servers and employees were nothing but friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back!

I would 100% recommend this spot! Our server was lovely. My mom and I wanted a classic French dinner experience and we definitely got it.
We started with escargot which were phenomenal, I got the duck and my mom the sea bass and both were cooked perfectly. Our server paired us with two different white wines which were delightful. To finish, we shared an apple pie - made the Normandy way - best I’ve ever had, and I despise baked fruit.
10/10 - Simple food, made with love!
Our server was fantastic and made the dinner visit perfect.
My only complaint - which is not the restaurants fault at all - would be the ignorant Americans that were in the restaurant loudly talking about very vulgar topics. Save that for the bar - not a nice restaurant and maybe just don’t speak so obnoxiously loud? However that’s asking a lot of an American.

Honestly one of the BEST restaurants I’ve been to in Paris. Their ravioli and escargot are absolutely IMPECCABLE and to die for. Service was incredible. Everyone is very friendly and happy to serve you here. The most impressive feat has got to be their wine menu. I have NEVER been to a restaurant with such a wide selection of premium wines. If you’re looking to have dinner in Paris, Chez Monsieur is the place to go.

Honestly got surprised by this last minute reservation. One of the best onion soups ive tried. Traditional Parisian Bistrot but very good quality, even the pasta was great. Service though is what you would expect in most of the restos in Paris but definitely would come back

Came here on a recommendation from a few friends - I was after some very good French food. Thus place delivered in spades. Food was outstanding - I started with the escargots, then moved on to a traditional veal stew, added a half portion of steak tartare. Then crème brûlée for dessert with a superb pudding wine. Lunch for one - worth every penny.

First time at Chez Monsieur and what an experience: great food & service!
Recommended by our hotel and it was fantastic choice.
I went with my father who has eaten a lot in Paris over 25 years and he puts Chez Monsieur at the top of his Parisian restaurant experiences.
The French onion soup was incredible followed by the fillet steak and finished with a chocolate fondant. Simple food cooked to perfection and would highly recommend it complimented by very professional service
Can’t wait to got back!

Overall, a good 5 ⭐️
Giving 4 for the food because every potato based serving was not to my taste:
- gnocchi: dry and crumbly
- purée: lacked seasoning
- fries: looked like frozen ones.
Besides this, the rest was excellent.
The service: outstanding!

We had a wonderful dinner at Maison Blossom, located inside the Sofitel Hotel. A friend invited us, and it turned out to be a great recommendation.
If you're driving, just be aware that the street in front of the restaurant doesn’t allow parking. Fortunately, there’s a large underground parking garage near the Place de la Concorde—just about a five-minute walk away. The short walk takes you past the U.S. Embassy, which makes for a nice, quiet stroll.
The restaurant is beautifully designed, with both indoor seating and a lovely garden area. Since it wasn’t crowded, the atmosphere was calm and perfect for chatting with friends over dinner.
The menu isn’t extensive, but the food was excellent. Each dish was beautifully plated and full of flavor. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout the evening.
If you’re exploring this area and looking for a peaceful, elegant place to enjoy a relaxing dinner, I highly recommend Maison Blossom. It’s much more comfortable and enjoyable than squeezing into an overly busy, trendy spot.

We had an absolutely fabulous lunch at Blossom! The atmosphere is relaxed and high end. The staff are extremely congenial, committed to making your experience wonderful. We felt taken care of by the waitstaff, more than anything we have experienced in a long time. The food was superb—Michelin star quality. Highly recommend.

Even though the atmosphere was buzzing with chatter and laughter, the food truly stole the show. The onion soup was a masterpiece—rich and flavorful, captured the essence of the authentic recipe perfectly. For my main dish, I chose the Vol-au-vent with chicken, and it did not disappoint! The combination of tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a delectable sauce was simply divine, each bite a delightful harmony of flavors. And those French fries! They were outstanding—thin, crispy, and perfectly salted, exactly how I love them.
Practical Tips for Dining Near Place de la Concorde
Navigating the dining scene in such a high-profile area requires a bit of local strategy to avoid disappointment and maximize your experience. The neighborhood operates on a rhythm dictated by luxury shopping and tourism, which means kitchen hours and reservation policies can differ from other parts of Paris. By understanding a few key nuances, you can dine like a local rather than a passing visitor.
-
Prioritize Reservations: This is not an area where you can easily wing it, especially for dinner. Many of the top tables are frequented by business executives and hotel concierges who book days or weeks in advance. Always call ahead or book online to secure a table, particularly if you are aiming for a weekend brunch or a table with a view.
-
Dress the Part: While Paris has become more casual, the restaurants immediately surrounding the Place de la Concorde and Rue Saint-Honoré still lean toward elegance. You will feel more comfortable and receive better service if you avoid athletic wear and flip-flops. Smart casual is generally the safest bet for lunch, while a jacket is often appropriate for dinner at the higher-end brasseries and hotels.
-
Beware of the "Terrace Premium": Sitting on a terrace facing the square or the Tuileries is magical, but it often comes at a premium price for the exact same food served inside. If you are on a budget, consider having a drink on the terrace for the view and then moving inside or to a side street for your actual meal to get better value.
-
Check the "Service Continu" Hours: Many upscale restaurants in Paris close between lunch and dinner service (roughly 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM). If you are sightseeing and want a late lunch at 3:00 PM or an early dinner at 6:00 PM, your options near the square will be limited. Look for brasseries that advertise "service continu" (continuous service) if you do not want to adhere to strict French dining times.
-
Explore the Side Streets: The closer you are to the actual obelisk, the more generic the food tends to be. Walk five minutes north toward Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré or east toward the Palais Royal. You will find that prices drop slightly, quality goes up, and the dining rooms are filled with more Parisians than tourists.
Dining near the Place de la Concorde is about more than just sustenance; it is an integral part of the Parisian experience. The clinking of silverware in a gilded dining room or the quiet hum of a neighborhood bistro provides a perfect counterbalance to the grandeur of the monuments outside. By choosing your restaurant wisely, you transform a simple meal into a lasting memory of the city.
Whether you opt for the historic luxury of a palace hotel or a simple, perfectly executed steak frites on a quiet corner, this area offers a depth of flavor that matches its visual beauty. Take your time, enjoy the ambiance, and savor the fact that you are dining in one of the most storied neighborhoods in the world.
