12 Best Pizza Spots in Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez may be globally synonymous with glamorous yachts and celebrity beach clubs, but beyond the velvet ropes lies a surprisingly authentic and deeply satisfying culinary scene. While the harbor-front brasseries offer front-row seats to a parade of supercars, the true soul of this Provençal village is often found bubbling in a wood-fired oven. Whether you are stepping off a tender from a superyacht or driving in from the vineyards of Ramatuelle, finding the perfect slice is an essential part of the Riviera experience.

The local pizza culture here is a fascinating blend of French gastronomy and Italian heritage, heavily influenced by the proximity to the border. You will find everything from ultra-thin, crispy Roman-style bases to thicker, doughier Neapolitan interpretations, all utilizing the incredible produce of the Var region. Think sun-drenched tomatoes, fragrant basil, black olives from nearby groves, and anchovies pulled from the Mediterranean just hours earlier. It is a celebration of simplicity executed at a world-class level.

However, navigating the dining landscape of Saint-Tropez can be overwhelming, especially during the peak summer months when demand is high and quality can fluctuate. The sheer volume of options means that without local knowledge, it is easy to end up at a tourist trap that prioritizes turnover over taste. A truly great pizza in this town is about more than just the toppings; it is about the atmosphere, the quality of the flour, the heat of the oven, and the hospitality of the family running the establishment.

We have spent considerable time exploring the cobblestone alleys and the quieter residential outskirts of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez to separate the masters of the craft from the mediocre. Our assessment focuses on the integrity of the dough, the sourcing of ingredients, the consistency of the bake, and the overall value for money in an area known for its premium pricing. We look for the spots that treat pizza as an art form, not an afterthought on a sprawling menu.

This guide is designed to serve every type of traveler, from the budget-conscious backpacker exploring the French Riviera to the luxury traveler looking for a casual yet refined dinner. Whether you crave a classic Margherita, a truffle-laden indulgence, or a unique Provençal twist with local goat cheese and honey, there is a circular masterpiece waiting for you. We have mapped out the places that locals actually frequent, ensuring you get an authentic taste of the region.

Below, we have curated the definitive list of the twelve best pizza spots in Saint-Tropez. Each entry has been selected for its unique character, dedication to quality, and ability to deliver a memorable meal in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

Family-run, relaxed authentic pizza in the heart of St Tropez. Really great option compared to some crazy over-priced places nearby. The family running it are so sweet, even when rushed off their feet. We enjoyed the Bomba and Spicy Bella. Definitely recommend a visit.

Everything was perfect. Service, food, atmosphere! Pizza was so delicious!

Chef wasn’t welcoming at all. She kept looking at us strangely, probably because we arrived at 1:20 pm and the restaurant closes at 2. They were clearly short-staffed and didn’t really understand English, so it’s fair to say it wasn’t very tourist-friendly. The table next to us was also upset and complained about something I couldn’t understand. At one point, my wife tried to take a fork from the counter, but the chef shouted in French that she couldn’t, and my wife had to wait until the waitress eventually brought one—despite our baby crying. The pizza itself was very disappointing: the dough was undercooked, the salami was hidden under the cheese, and there was so much cheese that it made it even worse. I honestly couldn’t even call it pizza. It felt like a complete waste of money. The only positive thing I can say is that the waitress tried to be nice, but overall, I would not recommend this place at all. If you pass by, avoid it—you’ll definitely find much better options nearby.
Chris Bird★★★★★
We didn’t eat here. Only had some drinks. But the pizza looked awesome! The lady owner was so friendly and genuine. You have to come here. It’s small but you can order take away pizzas or book a spot if you are lucky. Perfect for those looking for a respite from the market opposite.
samanta bruno★★★★★
We came here on a thursday night and found a table immediately. The place has a bohemian vibe. The girls working in the restaurant are incredibly kind and sweet, even when it got busy. The pizza man was also very kind and the pizzas he made were delicious (I'm Italian). The dough was so soft and they were generous with the toppings. Prices are obviously on the higher end because it's Saint Tropez, but it was worth it!

Came with the family on our vacation. Great little restaurant in the middle of a residential area. The service was super nice, the pizza is very good, we had the Margherita and 4-cheese pizzas. The pizza is cooked in a firewood oven, and it's well cooked. If you want pizza, I would not think twice about coming here. But, either you have a car, you taxi/Uber here, or a friend brings you - or you order delivery, but can't comment on that experience. Bon appetit!
Linton Nightingale★★★★★
I'd heard a lot about this little pizzeria where the food is served from a street truck, and I wasn't at all disappointed. They've got an extensive menu to cater for everyone's tastes and needs. Service is quick and friendly and the pizzas were ready in less than 5 minutes and oh so tasty. You can eat them there on tables under the trees or take away. Prices start from €10 for a 40cm pizza, and for a triple size you pay triple the price. I highly recommend it.
Adrian Wieczorek★★★★☆
Small cozy Italian place to eat. They make pizzas in something like food truck, and you will eat outside like patio. Food was good. They served it fast. Service little bit confused, maybe because we speak in English. Very limited parking. It’s ok 👍
Jahan Daschty★★★★★
A small, cozy pizzeria a little away from the hustle and bustle of the St. Tropez chic scene. The pizzas came super fast and the service was very friendly. The employee who took the orders in the construction trailer that had been converted into a kitchen was really cool and always had a casual, funny saying at the ready. Last but not least: the pizzas were simply delicious. Really hit the spot! Hopefully we'll be back in St. Tropez so that we can eat here again!
Vlad Grapa★★★★★
The reviews were right. The pizza quality and options are great. Nothing was left on the plate at the end. The service was very quick, pizza was ready in 5-10 min. The Panna cotta and gelato were good, but they were out of the highly recommend tiramisu unfortunately. Be careful with the road there and the parking, it is very cramped.

We lucked upon this gem of a restaurant in St. Tropez. It’s a bit off the beaten path which is a good thing, or we probably wouldn’t have gotten a table. This was some of the best food I have had anywhere in the world. The vitello tonatto was absolutely divine and those hand rolled cheese filled ravioli with fresh tomato were sublime. Every dish was five stars including the wine selections. I would eat here everyday if I could. If you are visiting St. Tropez this is as good as it gets and very reasonably priced as well! Thank you for a wonderful evening and please open a restaurant in Palm beach!
Neal Bakshi★★★★★
This restaurant is a hidden gem on a side street in St. Tropez. The staff are absolutely magical souls from Italy who are incredibly kind & thoughtful, and care about making your dining experience great from start to finish. The menu is simple, and focused on pasta, but they know how to do it right and for a great price. You choose the kind of pasta and sauce you want and they will make it to perfection. We got the fettuccine bolognese and the truffle truffle ravioli and both were exceptional. We also loved the burrata appetizer. Skip the tourist traps by the water - this is where you want to come when you’re in town.
Cédric★☆☆☆☆
Arrived at 12:00 with 4 kids, booked the evening before, got served at 13:15 some disgusting pastas. We were the first customers to arrive and got served last. This is one of the worst experience ever. The restaurant is clearly not worth it. They installed us in a smelly outdoor with sewage right under our feet. We asked to be moved and they started to argue, before eventually moving us to another spot. Unfortunately it took them 45 mins to take our order. People who came after us got served and left before we even started eating. The owner doesn't even apologise or try to give us a discount. He smoke before coming back to his kitchen. No sanitary protection (hair not covered). No air-conditioning inside. In terms of food, that's disgusting. The carbonara was dry. The "Tomato and garlic" sauce is not a sauce. Nobody finished their plate due to the disgusting taste. Over 200 euros for this? There are so many other places in St Tropez that are better, cheaper, and more considerate to their customers. Especially the ones with young kids.
Mariusz Jernalczyk★★★★★
The food was really delicious. We ordered truffle pasta, ravioli, and lasagne, and everything was excellent. We were also able to order half a portion of bolognese for our child at half price, which was a very nice touch. All the dishes were served together, and the staff even asked if we wanted the child’s meal to be brought earlier. Before the meal, we also received delicious little rolls with pesto. The restaurant may be a bit off the beaten path, but places like this are often the best ones. Highly recommended!
Denise R.P★★★★★
A wonderful surprise on a quiet street, yet in a very convenient location. We had an incredibly enjoyable and delicious dining experience—it truly felt like a little trip to Italy in the heart of Saint-Tropez. We loved it so much that, during our short stay, we ended up having almost all of our meals here. The entire team was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We tried the Bolognese gnocchi, the cheese raviole with tomato and basil sauce, the linguine with pesto, and the lemon ravioli with butter and Parmesan sauce. Every dish was delicious, but the lemon ravioli was absolutely outstanding—without a doubt our favorite. The homemade tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal, the selection of Italian wines was excellent, and we especially appreciated the limoncello the team kindly offered us after dinner—a lovely touch. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time we’re in Saint-Tropez. Thank you to the chef and the entire team for such a memorable experience!

Waiter said first drinks and then order food. We ordered only one pizza for children. Afterwards I couldn’t order any more drinks/beer. This is the law and legislation of licens. Bullshiting totally. The waiter gave me beer anyway after several minutes which I didn’t really want anymore. The experience gives me only option to say go around the corner to find something better.

Delicious pizza and incredibly fast service. Everything was ready in record time, and the quality was still great. Perfect spot if you want something quick and really good.

We had to catch the ferry so we couldn't stay. Pizza came in 5 minutes just like the waiter said it would. Great crust and flavor.

Pizza was very tasty, highly recommend ❤️

Absolute joke. They insisted on cash and made up pathetic excuses. Only after I told them 50 times that I only have a card did they magically pull out a working card terminal. Shady behavior and incredibly rude. Avoid at all costs!

This can be the no. 1 Italian restaurant on my list. Seasonal risotto with asperges was very delicious and the homemade pizza is just nice savory with a good spicy hint. Staff was very friendly with our kids’ order. Price quality highly recommended.
Vadim Borovkov★★★☆☆
Ordered pizza, it was not that good, plus they don't allow to share it for some reason. Pasta Bolognese not great either. So all in all, mediocre place, but service was OK.

Great food and service and option to the inside to cool down with air conditioning..my pasta in the photo was delicious.

Loved! This restaurant was an excellent find! Please go. Wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Service was the best we have had in France.

Hands down a top Italian restaurant to try. We came here 2x during our 4-day stay. The service was great, it can be a little faster but we are in an atmosphere where people are more relaxed and not in a rush. Try the spicy pizza with the Chile oil, the eggplant Parmigiano and the affogato for dessert.

I really enjoyed the crab pasta — it was tasty, nicely presented, and the staff were super friendly
Violeta Stoyanova★★☆☆☆
This restaurant is nothing special. The quality of the food is really poor and is far from real Italian food. The ceasar salad was horrid there was no sauce and no taste it shouldn't be called a ceasar salad because it isn't one.
Gijs Reijndorp★☆☆☆☆
Last night my friend and i went for dinner at the burger tent. My friends card declined at the first payment so he tried again, it declined the second time and i decided to pay. While we were enjoying our burger my friend looked into his bank account and in the bank account it said that he did in fact pay for our food. He went back and asked the man to clarify and he told him he did not pay. Today my friend went and called his bank to learn that 2 different terminals were used!! We would like to know what has happened here before we take action.

Such a good place to stop for tasty pizza. We had Mexican pizza with chorizo. That was my favorite. The chef special was also very good. The pizzas are probably enough for 2 people. We shared 3 with 3 adults and 2 kids. They play really good soul music. Service was excellent.

We had ordered a Truffle Pizza. They didn’t have salat , whereas improvised and it turned to be fantastic. Very friendly service , great pizza. Good price . I would recommend this place as take away or if you want to have fast and good quality pizza.

We ate lunch here. Arrived early. It’s a popular spot and gets very busy. No reservations for lunch, you just turn up. We ordered pizza, pasta and salad. Followed by the most delicious dessert - a must try! There’s only a small amount of staff, they were run off their feet but service was still good. Very good value for money too in St Tropez. We would definitely return. Thank you.

Food was extraordinary, they were open by 7 we was there by seven it was already full. One of the best-pizza i have ever eaten, service wasn’t good they brought bread without plates and I ask for baby spoon they forgot, but i tell you this I will go there again

St Tropez is beautiful. Sometimes you need to get a pizza to go. My wife was 5 months pregnant at the time and she was hungry. I went to Pizzeria Bruno in hopes I could get a pizza to go. The Bar tender (owner) at the time refused. A margarita pizza is not that time consuming…I then told him the situation and he said “no.” We went a block down to “Crazy Pizza” super accommodating and we got a pizza to go. My advice is to go to wear the people are most accommodating and empathetic in St Tropez. Crazy Pizza better than Pizzeria Bruno.
Joanne Philpott★★★★★
This was our firstly time here after walking past it for years and boy do I regret that, it was great. Authentic pizzas, thin and crispy with just the right amount of those little burnt edges. A good size for ordering 1 per person or 1 between 2 with a sald or appetizer. Didn't have any of their pastas but everything on the menu sounded great. I ordered their house red wine 🍷 excellent 👌 stuff. What did grab my attention when I ordered my espresso was they grind the beans each time so you get fresh coffee every time, a small detail but alot don't do this.
Steve★★★★★
Whilst walking around the lovely St Tropez as a family of three on a day trip we were keen to try and find somewhere nice to have a quick lunch which wasn’t going to be too expensive potentially quite difficult. What we accidentally stumbled across was a great and authentic cozy Pizzeria with lovely food, drink and fantastic service. Also quite reasonably priced for somewhere as glamorous as Saint-Tropez.

We had a lovely lunch at Marcellino in Saint-Tropez. We ordered the octopus, an Orangina, and a pinsa, and everything was enjoyable. The octopus was well prepared and flavorful, while the pinsa had a light, crispy base with fresh toppings. The Orangina was a refreshing addition on a warm day. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to take a break and enjoy a meal in the center of town. The service was friendly and overall we had a pleasant experience. A nice choice if you are looking for a casual lunch in Saint-Tropez.
Valentina Pollio★★★★★
We came here per a locals recommendation for lunch that they had the best pasta and it DID NOT disappoint! Our server, Tina, was absolutely amazing and gave us the best service! I recommend you to try the seafood pasta with the shellfish bisque, we wish we ordered 2 of these. Hands down the best seafood pasta I’ve had on my 10-day Côte d’Azur trip. Must visit!!!
Nawal Boudakhani★★★★★
The food is amazing and generous. The waiter was very nice ! And just for that, It’s one of our favourite restaurants. The place is well located, just in front of the port ! I recommend you to have diner during the sun set as we did ! It was less crowded and the view was beautiful 🌅
Karlan Stephenson★★★★☆
Lovely view of the port - beautiful open air patio restaurant. The dorade plate was exceptional. Caesar salad was expertly ordered and served elegantly by Damian .
Magda Adamczyk★★☆☆☆
Marcellino, Saint-Tropez Disappointed, unfortunately. This was our first time writing a negative review, as we usually only review restaurants where we’ve had a genuinely great experience — but this time we left let down. The food was mediocre for the price, and the portions felt overpriced for what was served. What really soured the experience, though, was the service. The waiter was unfriendly from the start, never smiled, and even though the restaurant was nearly empty, he acted as if we were bothering him. The woman who brought out the food was equally unpleasant. Overall, a disappointing experience — we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Had the absolute best service from Sabina, beautiful host and so friendly and professional. Honestly one of the best experiences me and my partner had the entire time in st Tropez. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and family owned by locals which made the experience so authentic. Highly recommend this place to anyone travelling through!

I have been traveling full time for 11 years and I have never experienced something like I did here. The bartenders mistook me for another Black girl and were extremely rude to me even though I did not do anything. I just wanted to enjoy the drink I paid for. The manager threw my drink at me and grabbed me by the wrists to pull me outside. My wrists are still sore. Do not support this establishment

Amazing little window with homemade pizzas. Tried their margherita and truffle. The chef informed us that the trufflw was just added 2 days before and I think it was a great addition. The focaccia bread was perfectly soft and the sauce was delicious. The garden is beautiful and you can enjoy the pizza there.

Ordered 2 drinks and was hoping to get food. When our drinks were brought over, we were asked to pay before they were even set down. Paying upfront wasn't the issue—you just don't need to be rude and unwelcoming. Watched others order and they didnt experience the same thing. Didnt bother to stay after that.

A huge thank you to Thibault for his simply wonderful hospitality! We celebrated our pre-wedding drinks in the garden of his hotel right after the civil ceremony, and it was magical. For us, it's by far the best place, the most representative of the simple, authentic, and warm soul of Saint-Tropez. We felt right at home, in a timeless atmosphere, surrounded by a team that took excellent care of us. Not to mention the incredible Pinsas. Thibault, you made this moment unforgettable for us and our guests. Don't change a thing, everything was perfect!

Don’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews. While the reception may come across as a little reserved, I was genuinely impressed by the food. Cristophe gave us a great, playful experience. We got the aioli steamed fish & veggies, w the freshest tropézienne on a sunday night. Service was fast but it got windy on the edge, place yourself mindfully. It's a bit steep, but slightly cheaper than nearby and atmosphere less chic.

Tips for Enjoying Pizza in Saint-Tropez

Dining in Saint-Tropez operates on a different rhythm than most cities, and securing a table at the best spots requires a bit of strategy and local etiquette. The culinary scene here is heavily influenced by the seasonal influx of visitors, which means that operating hours, menu availability, and booking policies can change rapidly between June and September. To ensure your pizza experience is as seamless and enjoyable as possible, it is helpful to understand the local dining customs, the logistics of getting around, and how to time your meal to match the local lifestyle. The following tips will help you navigate the scene like a seasoned regular rather than a first-time visitor, ensuring you get the best possible table, service, and slice.

  1. Embrace the Late Dinner Hour: In Saint-Tropez, dinner is a social event that rarely begins before 8:00 PM, and most pizzerias do not even fire up their ovens for evening service until 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM. If you arrive at 6:00 PM, you will likely find the doors locked or the staff still setting up. To get the best atmosphere and see the town come alive, aim to sit down between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM.
  2. Always Reserve During Peak Season: From mid-June to early September, the population of Saint-Tropez explodes, and the top-rated pizza spots have very limited seating. Walking in without a reservation, especially for a party of four or more, often results in a long wait or outright rejection. A simple phone call earlier in the day, or asking your hotel concierge to book, is essential to secure a spot at the most sought-after tables.
  3. Consider Takeaway to Avoid the Crowds: If you are staying in a villa, on a boat, or simply want to enjoy the sunset on the beach without the fuss of a restaurant, many of the best pizzerias offer excellent takeaway (à emporter) services. Ordering a pizza to go allows you to bypass the often chaotic and loud dining rooms during August and enjoy high-quality food in a more relaxed, private setting.
  4. Look for the "Pizza al Taglio" Style for Lunch: While many traditional sit-down pizzerias close between lunch and dinner, you can find fantastic Roman-style pizza by the slice (al taglio) at bakeries and snack bars near the market square. This is the perfect, budget-friendly way to grab a quick, crispy lunch without interrupting your day at the beach or shopping.
  5. Be Patient with Service: The French Riviera operates on "island time," and service in Saint-Tropez is notoriously leisurely. Waiters are not being rude; they are simply allowing you to savor your meal and the atmosphere. Do not expect the check to arrive immediately after your plates are cleared. You will need to flag down your server and ask for "l’addition, s’il vous plaît" when you are ready to leave.
  6. Venture Beyond the Port: While eating with a view of the yachts is magical, the restaurants directly on the Vieux Port often charge a significant premium for their real estate, and the food quality can be inconsistent. You will often find the most authentic, generously topped, and reasonably priced pizzas by walking just two or three streets inland, where the locals dine.

Finding a great pizza in Saint-Tropez is about more than just satisfying hunger; it is about participating in a local ritual that bridges the gap between the glitz of the Riviera and the rustic charm of Provence. Whether you opted for a simple dough topped with San Marzano tomatoes or a decadent creation featuring local truffles, the experience is a reminder that even in the most luxurious destinations, comfort food reigns supreme. The combination of high-quality flour, sea air, and the unmistakable scent of a wood fire creates a sensory memory that lingers long after you leave the harbor.

As you plan your itinerary, remember that the best meals are often the ones that allow you to slow down and soak in your surroundings. Do not rush your dinner; order a glass of chilled local rosé, watch the world pass by, and enjoy the craftsmanship that goes into every pie. The pizza scene in Saint-Tropez is vibrant, competitive, and incredibly rewarding for those who know where to look, and with this guide, you are now equipped to eat your way through the very best the village has to offer.
