12 Best Hotels near Les Invalides

The 7th arrondissement of Paris is more than just a political and cultural powerhouse; it is a neighborhood defined by grandeur, wide boulevards, and a distinctly refined atmosphere. Anchored by the golden dome of the Hôtel National des Invalides, this district offers visitors a chance to experience a calmer, more residential side of the French capital. Choosing to stay near this iconic landmark places you within a short stroll of the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, and the Musée Rodin, while allowing you to retreat to quieter streets in the evening.

Accommodation in this prestigious area ranges from opulent palace hotels that have hosted royalty to intimate boutique residences tucked away in historic Haussmann buildings. Because the neighborhood is primarily residential and diplomatic, the hotel stock tends to focus on quality, service, and discretion rather than volume. Whether you are visiting for the military history, the nearby UNESCO headquarters, or simply the central location, your choice of hotel will significantly shape your Parisian experience.

Proximity to Les Invalides offers a logistical advantage that is hard to overstate. The area is served by excellent public transport links, including the RER C line, which provides direct access to Versailles and the Left Bank, as well as multiple metro stations connecting you to the Louvre and the Champs-Élysées. Staying here puts you at the crossroads of the city’s most important sightseeing axes without forcing you to stay in the chaotic epicenter of mass tourism.

The architectural landscape surrounding the Esplanade des Invalides is characterized by elegant stone facades, wrought-iron balconies, and sweeping views of the Seine. Hotels here often feature interior courtyards, Michelin-starred restaurants, and spa facilities designed to offer a sanctuary from the city’s energy. The focus is on providing a serene, luxurious base from which to explore the Left Bank’s intellectual and artistic heritage.

When selecting a hotel in this district, travelers should consider the specific micro-neighborhood. Properties located directly on the Place Vauban offer stunning, uninterrupted views of the Dôme des Invalides, while those nestled near Rue Cler provide immediate access to one of Paris’s most famous market streets. Both options offer distinct atmospheres, ranging from formal and stately to village-like and charming.

For history enthusiasts and architecture lovers, the allure of waking up to the sight of the gilded dome is unmatched. The area is steeped in the legacy of French military history, yet it is also home to some of the city’s most peaceful green spaces and sophisticated dining rooms. It represents a blend of solemn history and modern luxury that is difficult to find elsewhere in Paris.

We have curated a selection of the finest accommodations within walking distance of Les Invalides. These properties have been evaluated based on their location, service quality, unique character, and value for the experience offered. Below is our definitive guide to the best places to stay in this prestigious corner of the 7th arrondissement.

The room I stayed in was incredibly small, with only a bed and a tiny table. Since I was travelling alone, I did not have any problems in terms of comfort. The view from the window was very poor, but I think that was reasonable considering the price I paid. The location, however, was incredible. Everything was nearby—you could reach the metro, the Eiffel Tower, and the Army Museum within a five-minute walk. Thank you.

I stayed at Hôtel de France Invalides. The location is excellent—right next to Les Invalides, just a few minutes’ walk to École Militaire metro station, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. There are also several supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient. The front desk area is small, and complimentary croissants and tea are offered each afternoon, which is a nice touch. The staff were polite and professional. The room is not large, but very clean. The bathroom includes a bathtub, which is great for relaxing, although the shower pressure is a bit weak. The room setup is somewhat limited—there is only a small round table (already occupied with tea sets), and the chair is too high and quite hard, making it uncomfortable to sit or use a laptop. Soundproofing could be improved, as noise from the hallway is easily heard. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel with good value, but with some minor comfort issues.
Serena Kirkland★☆☆☆☆
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that future travelers can make an informed decision when choosing accommodations. Our room was located directly across from the elevator, and throughout the night we were repeatedly disturbed by the constant flow of guests coming and going. While the noise was certainly disruptive, the most significant issue was the complete failure of the air conditioning. The room remained at approximately 30°C (86°F), making restful sleep nearly impossible. After our first sleepless night, we promptly reported the problem. We were assured on multiple occasions that the issue had been resolved, yet the air conditioning never functioned properly. Over the course of our stay, several fans were provided as a temporary solution; none were effective, and one was, in fact, a heater. Each day, after spending hours exploring Paris, we looked forward to returning to the hotel to rest and recharge. Instead, we faced another night of excessive heat, constant noise, and interrupted sleep. What made the situation particularly disappointing was the hotel’s handling of the issue. Rather than relocating us to a room with functioning air conditioning, we were repeatedly told that the problem had been fixed when it had not. This pattern continued for entirety of our stay. We even witnessed another guest reporting the same air-conditioning problem. By the end of our trip, the cumulative exhaustion had significantly diminished our overall experience in Paris. While the manager offered a 10% discount, the issue was never simply about compensation. No refund can restore the sleep lost, the discomfort endured, or the frustration caused by a problem that was never meaningfully addressed. A hotel’s most fundamental responsibility is to provide its guests with a comfortable place to rest. Unfortunately, this property failed to meet that basic expectation. As a result, I cannot recommend it and would not choose to stay here again.
Carlos Serras Alves★★★★☆
Excellent location with a beautiful view of Les Invalides, just 400 meters from the École Militaire metro station (Line 8). There’s a supermarket nearby, as well as several restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The area is very quiet and feels extremely safe. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable, even with the cold weather outside. In the afternoon, the hotel offers complimentary pastries and tea in the lobby, which is a lovely touch. I highly recommend choosing a superior room with a balcony and a view of Invalides, it’s absolutely worth it. The only downside is the soundproofing. Noise from the hallway and especially from the connecting room doors can be noticeable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional stay with an unforgettable view I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in Paris, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level. The highlight was without question the room with a direct view of Les Invalides — waking up and going to sleep with that iconic golden dome outside the window never gets old. It genuinely elevated the entire stay and made the trip feel special from day one. The room itself was clean, quiet, and very comfortable, with excellent bedding and proper sound insulation (rare and valuable in Paris). Housekeeping was consistently thorough throughout the week. The location is outstanding: central, elegant, and perfectly connected. Walking distance to major sights, great cafés and restaurants nearby, and easy access to transport without the chaos of more tourist-heavy areas. Staff were professional, polite, and helpful, always available without being intrusive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any request was handled efficiently. Overall, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, location, and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a refined Paris stay with a truly iconic view, this is an easy recommendation. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location, step out of the hotel, look right and you’ll see the Eiffel Tower. Seems to be a popular spot for photos. Not far from the metro which was easy to use. The restaurant downstairs is a good stop too. A bit of a refresh is needed, but I understand renovations in older buildings are not easy. Yes, the rooms are a bit on the smaller end but that is normal for buildings of that age. Bed comfortable enough, shower pressure good, staff always greet you with a smile. I would stay here again.

Hotel Le Pavillon was the perfect place for our weekend in Paris! The hotel is centrally located to a ton of great restaurants and shops and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Seine River. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was extremely helpful throughout all parts of the day. I would highly recommend Hotel Le Pavillon to anybody looking for a great rate at a quaint hotel in the heart of Paris.

Our stay at Hotel Le Pavillon was excellent. The staff is so helpful and kind. The room was small but manageable. The location is perfect, so many bakeries and cafes steps away. Short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Close to the metro. When you go out and about they require you to leave your room key with them, which made us feel safe in terms of pick pockets. They can schedule a shuttle to the airport for you which was so convenient. We did not partake in breakfast so cannot comment on thay.

Very cute hotel. If you walk out the front door and look to the right you have a great view of the Eiffel Tower. The young woman who checked us in was extremely pleasant. She was smiling and courteous. She spoke terrific English as well. The room was very nice. The shower was great pressure and hoy water. Bed was comfortable and large. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. (The overnight clerk was also very nice when we checked out in the AM. Great employees!)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location was excellent, very near to metro just in front of the hotel, making it easy to explore Paris and visit the major attractions. The breakfast was okay and good, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and elegant. I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the excellent service throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. I would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay at the First Hotel. The service throughout the hotel was warm and professional. Special thanks to Omar from the front desk, when I checked in being told I was the last guest who arrived ( was around midnight) he said he gave me the best room with amazing view, which is very nice touch of him and his hospitality skills, especially to me after a long journey and feeling knackered. Rooms and bed are spacious and super clean with a views of Eiffel Tower. They clean the room daily and there's a TV, AC, USB plugs, WiFi, coffee corner, free bottle of water, a nice clean bathroom with shower and amenities. Overall, First Hotel is a fantastic small modern boutique hotel, made me feel like home, good location close to train station, cafés, restaurants & shops. I highly recommended this hotel and will 100% stay here again.!!

Great location the only problem was the room size. The local restaurants were great and affordable but the best of the bunch was the local bakery below the hotel. OMGOSH the food is divine. Unless you can get a bigger room I wouldn't stay with a family more than a week but some of us may like a closer family space. Each to there own I guess.
Yael Tserruya★☆☆☆☆
Service not very friendly if you have a reservation. Room rates change by 50-60% in matter of days. I booked hotel room for 290. Then for the second room they charged 194. Same room. Same date. I have never seen such huge price difference for the same date of stay and only because the bookings were made within a 1-2 weeks difference. Seems non reliable. And talking to the hotel team only made me feel worse. I should have canceled my cancelable room a day before, and rebook it again. it would have saved me 100 euros. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Definitely one of the best hotel. We booked the "guaranteed eiffel tower view" room. We arrived at the hotel and was very surprised to be greeted by 5 staff members with all smiles. They were so professional too. One of the male staff took our bags for storage because we got there at 12pm and can't check in until 3pm. Check in at 4pm and was surprised again that our room was on the top floor with great views of the Eiffel Tower from the windows. The room was spacious even with the sofa bed opened. Bathroom has essential like shavers and toothbrush if you forgot to bring. We took so many photos during day time and at night with a sparkling view of the tower. Walking distance to the tower, supermarket, train, and restaurants. There is an excellent bakery in the ground floor.

Everything about this hotel changes the narrative about smallish French hotels. Many large rooms. Friendly staff. New and well appointed furnishings. Did I mention great air conditioning? The staff (especially Nicolas) patiently answered all of my many, many questions before our arrival. I was concerned that the pull out bed might not work as a "real" bed for a family of four, but the mattress seemed like a regular mattress, not one of those semi-mattresses in the US. The rooms appeared newly redone and the furniture for storage was plentiful. The room got so cold from the A/C that we had to turn it UP to make it comfortable. After several days of 90s degree weather, it was great to come back to a fully cool room. I can highly recommend room 101 that overlooks the Rue Cler and know that it will work for a family of four very easily. The staff had lots of good advice about transport and readily stored our luggage for a few hours so we could make the most of our final day in Paris. Be sure to contact the hotel directly for the best rates (email or their own website).

The Grand Hôtel Lévêque is perfect. The location is great. There are lots of food and grocery shops on the street (Rue Cler). We ate breakfast and lunch either in the room or on foot and there are plenty of great choices next to the hotel. Rue Cler is like a mini Paris w/o the tall neoclassic columns and triangular pediments. The hotel is clean, safe, and sweet. The staff is nice and attentive. They have a $15 breakfast down stairs including eggs but we did not do it. The single room with a queen is small. The bathroom is small. For one person it is perfect. 2 ppl would have to squeeze their stuff in. But I'd definitely stay there again. Once again it is a great locations with tons of necessities for sale on the same street. There is a lot of "life" on the street. Great vibe, etc. Everyone is friendly except maybe some of the grocers are over worked. But we were there the week of a vicious heat wave--93 F & muggy. The week before and after we came it was in the 70's with rain. I did not like the heat wave.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, the rooms were very clean, and the daily housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. A special thanks to Sahel at the reception desk, who was incredibly helpful and made our stay even better with her kindness and excellent service.

Beautiful Hotel with excellent service!! Front desk staff was amazing. Spoke English and Spanish and were very accommodating. Our room was nice and very spacious with a great view of the street below. The location of this hotel is also a huge plus! Lots of cafes, shops, and markets on the same block and all around. Full of tourists and locals alike. Highly recommend.

This is a great little hotel right in the heart of Paris. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, and almost everything you’d want to see in Paris is within a 30-minute walking distance. We booked through Expedia and initially received a small room with no view, and there was a minor water leak issue. However, the staff handled it exceptionally well — they were kind, responsive, and quickly upgraded us to a better room with a nice view. That level of service really stood out. The hotel is perfectly located on a lively street with plenty of restaurants and local shops, which made it very convenient and enjoyable. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and offered great recommendations on things to do, and room service was reliable and efficient. Rooms are smaller compared to typical U.S. hotels, but that’s expected in Europe and didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Paris.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location. It is within easy reach of major attractions and has excellent public transportation connections, making it very convenient for exploring Paris. However, the rooms are extremely small, even considering Paris standards. The beds are not particularly comfortable, and the bathroom layout is impractical. The shower cabins are exceptionally small and can be uncomfortable to use. In addition, the sound insulation is poor, making it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway. The hair dryer provided in the room is also below expectations. Its performance is so weak that some public restroom hand dryers are more effective. For a one- or two-night stay, the hotel may be acceptable due to its excellent location. However, for longer stays, the lack of comfort becomes more noticeable. While I understand that space is limited in Paris, the overall value for money remains questionable. If location and transportation are your main priorities, this hotel may suit your needs. Otherwise, travelers seeking comfort may want to consider other options.

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. Number 1 the location it's a 2mins. Walk from the metro station and if you are going to the eiffel tower it just only 3 stops from the hotel. I'm working in 4star hotel here in rome,Italy. Ask a housekeeper For me the room is clean and neat 👌😊 I will recommend to my friends.

Our stay was lovely. I read many reviews which say that the rooms and bathrooms are small. Comparing to North American standards, yes they are, but this is downtown Paris. It’s perfect. Comfy beds and 4 pillows for the queen size bed. Shower is hot, plenty of towels, and space to have your luggage. Talitha at the front desk checked us in fast and easy and was very helpful. Maud also checked us out and she was great and gave us recommendations of places to eat and places to explore. THE BREAKFAST IS AMAZING AND WORTH IT. As a Marriott Bon Voy member, IBIS is has made my experience very worth while for future stays.

Location is excellent, lots of places to eat nearby as well as walking distance to many attractions. However no air con in the rooms (or at least not controlled in the rooms if there is) every night was extremely warm making it difficult to sleep and far too noisy to have the window open, but even with it open it didn't cool down enough. Noisy at night hearing all other residents walking round, banging doors, hairdryers being used in the early hours, which is fine but we shouldn't be able to hear it. Also rooms are really small, bathroom is tight. I would not stay again, which is a shame because the location is great and is right right by the metro.
Chris Foster★★★☆☆
Room was clean but small, with bathroom tiny and difficult to sit comfortably but clean and serviceable. Ideal location for central Paris, didn't spend much time in our room so it was a good place to stay. Lots of lovely cafes and bakeries plus small supermarkets nearby. Difficult to control temperature in room but nice to have a proper opening window!! Overall they have tried to make an old building look nice and they have done a decent job. Everything works, the staff were helpful and friendly and the shower was good. A good location helps!

We stayed at Hotel de La Motte Picquet for five nights in June with our two children and had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. We couldn't hear any street noise and had no issues with climate control. Staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was lovely with coffee, juice, pastries, bread, yogurt, and cereal. You can also order an omelette if you like. We loved the location as well. Would absolutely return in the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our first trip to Paris. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by really friendly staff. Check in was very quick and efficient. The room was fantastic. There was no noise from outside, the climate control worked brilliantly and there was a good view onto the street outside. The mini bar of soft drinks was a very welcome touch after long days out exploring. The location is superb. Right next to a Metro station and only 10 minutes or so walk from the Eiffel Tower. On the last day, our train wasnt until late afternoon and staff allowed us to leave our bags and collect them later on meaning we could make the most of the day without having to carry heavy luggage around. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! We'll definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at Hôtel de la Motte Picquet for three nights in late May 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. My husband found it through the Rick Steves Paris guide, and it did not disappoint. It’s located in the Rue Cler neighborhood, which is beautiful and very family friendly, and it’s about a 15-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. It’s also very close to a Metro stop and tons of delicious restaurants. The hotel was quaint and very clean, and the staff was so kind and helpful. We did not pay extra for the breakfast, because there are so many easy food options nearby. There are four of us (two adults and two teens), and we opted for two rooms with two single beds each. Our rooms were on different floors, but that was not an issue for us. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, and there is an A/C unit in each room, which we appreciated because Paris temperatures were very hot—way above normal—all three days we were there. We would definitely stay there again!

My family of four (two adults & two teenagers) had an excellent experience. The room was clean & comfortable, the people were helpful, and the location was perfect. An easy ride on the subway to/from the airport and short walks to restaurants and the Eiffel Tower. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay here. Staff was kind and welcoming, and you can’t beat the location. Depending on your room, you might even be able to spot the Eiffel Tower out your window. Short walk to the Tower, a grocery store, some good pastry/coffee shops, and several metro lines.

This is the sixth time I have stayed at this lovely hotel. It is very near many metro stops, and is down the street from the Rodin museum and Napolean's tomb. Within easy walking distance of the Rue Cler and the Musee D'Orsay. Very nice quiet neighborhood, with several little markets across the street for snacks and beverages. A bakery is next door. Very nice restaurants locally--great to explore. Service is lovely (helps to say Bonjour when you first come in). Continental breakfast served on the terrace outdoor in the morning is delightful. I agree that it would be much much much nicer if they did not allow smoking outdoors, since that would be much more enjoyable and healthful for non-smoking guests who don't wish to be exposed to second hand smoke. The rooms are larger than most standard European hotel rooms. The air conditioning was amazingly effective. Good wifi. Not super cheap, but a great value.

Maybe most important: The property is a central location. The negs: -No water pressure in the shower. -The buffet tables are not old traditional or very french feeling; A table cloth and better flatware would go a long way for making the plain buffet feel more inviting and cute quaint. -They allow smoking in the courtyard so eating outside is not an option for a non smoker. -Carpet flooring in the rooms The pos: -If the price is right for you, then it is a good find for a few+ nights in Paris. -It is clean and cute and the rooms are average or slightly larger size. -The staff are warm; some are friendly, and some are polite; A list of good local brasserie's, restaurants, and evening lounges on a small pocket sized simplified walking map would be a great item for guests upon check in. -Great location, central to many top tourist sights and a few good neighborhoods, as well as evening lounges, brasseries, and just night time strolls.

I loved everything about this hotel. It was so convenient to the bus, metro, museums, shopping and more. Alexey and the entire staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paris.
Kat Lina★☆☆☆☆
I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this so-called 4-star hotel. Honestly, this establishment does not deserve its rating at all. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was cold and unprofessional. They were neither welcoming nor friendly, and it genuinely felt as though guests were a nuisance. As for the room, it was a disaster: dust everywhere, very poor housekeeping, and an overall feeling of dirtiness. For a hotel of this standard, this is completely unacceptable. There was also a strong sewage smell in both the room and the hallways, which made the stay very unpleasant. The carpet was in terrible condition — extremely old and worn out, as if it had not been changed in decades. It gave the entire hotel a neglected and outdated atmosphere. The breakfast was equally disappointing: very limited choices, poor-quality products, and careless presentation. Once again, far below what anyone would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Reese Mugerditchian★★★☆☆
Spacious and comfortable rooms, reliable AC, and friendly staff were the highlights. The rooms could use a deep cleaning and they don't allow guests to eat personal food in the garden even though thier menu is highly limited. While it is centrally located it is a bit far from popular sights for young guests.

Lovely stay near the Eiffel Tower We had a really nice stay at Hôtel Amélie. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, with a grocery store nearby, a few restaurants, and both metro and bus stops close by. The street itself is quiet, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was compact (a full-size suitcase probably wouldn’t fit easily, but our carry-ons were fine), but it made good use of the space with storage under the bed and hangers for clothes. The room and sheets were clean, the shower was nice, and we appreciated having a safety box and a fridge. There’s free water available in the lobby, though we also bought bottles from the nearby grocery store. A couple of small notes: there’s no elevator and no air conditioning (just a small fan). When we checked in around 3 pm the room was quite hot because the shades hadn’t been closed and the fan wasn’t on — it felt a bit like a sauna at first. Once we sorted that out it was fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Hôtel Amélie for a convenient, friendly base in a great part of Paris. We visited when the weather was nice (around 26–27°C).

Cute boutique hotel in a perfect central location. Everything is lovely.amd clean, but Americans may find the small room size and the small bathroom somewhat uncomfortable. This is typical of local European hotels, however. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The location of the room is good, but the facilities are too poor. There is no elevator. Guests with large luggage should choose carefully. Especially, it is very difficult to carry luggage on the narrow spiral staircase on the higher floor. The overall area of the room is small and the decoration is relatively fancy. The facilities are relatively simple. There is only an old-fashioned small iron fan in the room. It may be very hot in summer because there is no air conditioner, but the overall hygiene of the room is still good.

My daughter and I stayed here for ten days. We were celebrating a “big” birthday. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Hakim. He is the best concierge ever. He was full of suggestions and information. He made sure we were taken care of and I really appreciated him. The breakfasts that are included were not so good. The croissants weren’t worth the calories, we’d go to bakeries and get fresh ones. Breakfast servers were very nice.

Beautiful building, bright , clean and well air conditioned. Both rooms were a bit small but expected size in Paris. It was a decent 8 night stay with plenty to do around the hotel. The hotel bar looked sad but didn’t matter with the beautiful cafe just right down the street. Staff was friendly enough and the stay was comfortable. The breakfast buffet and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Room service was also nice. I think the highlight was the beautiful flowers that I had requested before my arrival. Couple minuses… I didn’t feel valued or acknowledged as a diamond member and they didn’t pick me up from the airport as I had requested.

This is a beautiful, spotless hotel located in a very safe area of Paris! We paid extra for transport from airport to hotel and were greeted by concierge on arrival. Only one of our rooms was ready BUT it was several hours before check in time so they were very accommodating to allow us to freshen up in one of our rooms. There are black out curtains on the windows and this was THE QUIETEST CITY HOTEL that I have every stayed in! The hotel is in walking distance to Eiffel Tower (20 min), Les Hotels Invalides historical museums (5 min), La Galerie Dior and Palais Galliera Museum (both about 20 min), and numerous bakeries and restaurants (5-10 minutes). We did not eat at the hotel or use the spa area, but both were available for extra fees. We were surprised that we had to pay for bottled water in the room (five euros for a small Evian bottle). The hotel graciously locked up our luggage when we checked out at 10am to sight see before leaving Paris at 2pm. They also called us a cab for a ride to the car rental agency. The hotel is very good about responding to phone calls and emails and nearly all the staff spoke both French and English. This hotel is pricey but WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

The best night manager in Paris! Due to a mix up with keys I was left with nowhere to stay at 12.30am. After calling about 50 hotels and getting (the usual) I’m sorry but we’re full from the night Manager (not wanting to bother with checking in new clients during the night), I called this hotel and was greeting by a man called Mix! What a relief! Welcoming, reassuring and super friendly! Thank you Mix for your help in finding me a super comfortable, clean and welcoming place to stay!

Narcisse hotel review We stayed here exactly one year ago on an unexpected 24 hour visit to Paris. From the photos and the five star rating And the nearly €1000 nightly rate, one would expect this hotel to deliver at the highest level, not just in service but in quality of food and the hotel. We did not find this to be the case. When we arrived, tired from a long flight, we were greeted by an incredibly helpful and attentive concierge named Julian, who arranged some reservations which helped make our short trip in Paris well worth it. Julian was the sole highlight of our stay at this hotel. We booked this room through a credit card partner of the hotel who listed the following benefits: free breakfast, room upgrade when available, and a $100 credit for the property. We chose this hotel because of these benefits, and it’s great reviews. When we arrived we checked in and The front desk was unable to upgrade our room (no big deal) but we saw lots of availability on the website for that night and the next. We asked if they had any rooms with two beds, he said they could not accommodate. The man checking us in just said “too little notice” and brushed it off. We asked what was included in the free breakfast, they said “whatever you like, there is not a limit”which immediately sounded great. We were still excited for a night in the hotel so we let it pass. The room was the smallest hotel room I have stayed in as an adult, shockingly compact for a “5 star” hotel but for the most part well appointed. As soon as we settled in we had multiple issues which made things challenging. The telephone did not work, meaning we had to go downstairs to request anything, a replacement phone was promised before we headed out to dinner and it still wasn’t fixed when we came back many hours later. Also one of the window shades was not working only going halfway down, making it difficult to sleep. In the morning we were excited for the hyped up breakfast in our room, however due to the size of the room we had to sit cross legged on the door of the bed to eat at the little table they brought in. Again no big deal. However, The free breakfast was not actually free as it came out of the $100 credit, and when it did arrive it arrived late completely missing the coffee order and coming with a single pancake which was genuinely inedible, stodgy and drier than any pancake I had tasted. It took another 30 min to get the coffee order. The rest of the breakfast was fine if unremarkable, especially the pastry which tasted more like a day old grocery store croissant than what you would find in any random cafe in paris. Cosmetic issues existed in the room too, peeling paint under the windows, and chips in the dishware. The bed was very comfortable. I’m sure the restaurant is wonderful for dinner or lunch, and sure it’s possible we just got the smallest room and the chef was sick that day, but at this level I shouldn’t have to worry about this stuff. We spent time at several other hotels around paris during our time there and every single one had better service than this one. We will stay at the Penninsula next time.

This is a delightful hotel in an excellent location! The staff makes it an extremely special place. They were kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic! You are in walking distance to so many landmarks and the neighborhood is full of wonderful shops and restaurants. The a/c during the heatwave was especially appreciated! This was our 3rd stay here and we look forward to visiting again!

My wife and I stayed here 13 years ago and vowed to do it again if we came to Paris again. Thirteen years later, we were able to book the same room (#64) we had then, and we loved it! Large, clean room at the end of the hall with an amazing view of Des Invalides. Staff are all friendly and helpful ... Clara, Ioanna and Mary were particularly delightful!

Excellent in every way, from the room size :decoration, to the friendly, helpful staff and location. The location was central to The Eiffel Tower, the Seine river, Bateau Mouches & exploring on foot, day or night was a delight. One could easily walk from place to place to see various tourist spots or jump on the metro. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood. Loved the breakfast buffet. Good value all in all. I more than highly recommend this gem of a hotel. A huge thank you to everyone at the hotel.

It’s an older hotel that has that old French feel to it. When we first checked in we weren’t sure if we’d like it, but by the second night we were happy we chose it. So close to so many things, and there’s good dining nearby. It’s not perfect but it’s worth giving it a try.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was a major disappointment. We booked a room with a view, which was significantly more expensive than the standard room, expecting at least what was clearly advertised. Instead, we were given a room with a “view” directly facing a tree, with no actual view at all. This felt misleading and highly unprofessional. I am attaching a photo to this review as proof. After the first night, during our total stay of three nights, the hotel sent us a satisfaction survey. I clearly stated that we had not received what we had paid for. Their solution was to offer us a room change at 2:00 PM — by that time, we were already out exploring the city. Who would realistically return in the middle of the day just to repack and unpack all their belongings again? The other option was to change the room the next day, which made even less sense since we only had one night left. This was not a real solution, just a formal response to avoid responsibility. The breakfast was far below expectations — at best 1 out of 5. Very limited selection, poor food quality, and the breakfast staff were noticeably unfriendly and uninterested in guests, which made the overall experience even worse. The hotel itself is quite old, worn out, and far below the standard you would expect for the price they charge. It clearly lacks proper maintenance and renovation. The only positive thing worth mentioning is the location, which is excellent. Unfortunately, that alone is not enough to compensate for all the other shortcomings. I would not choose this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to others.

Excellent place to stay! Beds are very comfy. Rooms are quiet. Excellent service and the best location! You can walk to Eiffel Tower plus we loved the restaurants nearby especially the one right across the street! At night you have a clear view of sparkling Eiffel Tower lights. Highly recommend!

I stayed here in April 2026 during my first solo trip to Paris and was happy with my decision. I highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quieter residential area that is still within walking distance to trains and sightseeing locations. The room was very spacious and clean with plenty of towels, a drying rack, and a mini-fridge with free beverages, which was very helpful when I got back to my room late and the shops were closed. All the employees were also very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately I got sick during my trip and had to figure out how to find a doctor with the Doctolib app and they let me use the hotel’s number because the app doesn’t accept American phone numbers. I accidentally locked myself out of my room twice, which was embarrassing, but they got me new cards without a problem. I have recommended this hotel to other friends and would absolutely stay here again on a future trip.

We are so glad we found this hotel for our recent visit. 7 of us , myself and 6 daughters in 4 rooms * King/twin beds in 3 rooms so everyone had their own comfortable bed! *Reasonable price. Book direct! Great communication beforehand *Fantastic location with a 15 minute or less walk to the Eiffel Tower and many of our destinations. On a charming street with cafes, bakeries, shopping, groceries, pharmacies and more. *Elevators and good air conditioning *Free water and coke in room fridge restocked daily. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in a great location. The 7th arrondisment. The rooms are very clean and it is a very quiet hotel. Eugenia and Lia at the front desk is very helpful and very sweet. Each day there are fresh baked croissants in the breakfast room. It also is right across the street from a laundromat that takes credit cards and is kept very clean, which is a must after traveling a few weeks.

Rooms in Paris are smaller and fully understand this, we actually had 2 rooms (family of 5) and felt a little cramped but it was expected. I would've given 5 stars but I believe the floors / trash small things couldve been more clean. Beds were clean and comfy, would stay here again just knowing these to let you know. We could lean out our window on one side and see Eiffel Tower which was incredible but that also meant by street which was louder. The other room did not have street view but much quieter!

The location is perfect—close to several metro lines, making it easy to get around the city. It’s also within walking distance of many attractions and historic places, which is a big plus for sightseeing. The staff is very friendly and responsive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s quite normal for Paris. They are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay in Paris.

First time in the hotel, quiet place which I loved, room was cozy, we enjoyed breakfast (continental style) all food was freshly made/ serve, coffee, juice, milk and water. Staff is 24/7 and very friendly. Close to a mini supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants. Main attractions were walkable. Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and Seine River. We will be back for sure and 100% recommended.

Pros: Service was excellent and staff very friendly. I felt very welcome. They allow you to keep luggage before/after check-in /checkout for your convenience until your departure from the city. The location was great, imo. It wasn't immediately close to most tourist places, but because of that it felt more central, making everything within a reasonable walking distance. Also because it wasn't directly beside any attractions, it was fairly quiet. Price was very reasonable. I purchased their cheapest room and was pleasantly surprised that it had a balcony! The room was small, but it was expected based on the photos and fine for my solo traveler needs. Con: My only complaint was the mold, or perhaps it was mildew. It lined most of both of the window and balcony border/sills. I do admit that I noticed it late at night after a long day wandering around Paris so was very tired and I didn't bring it to the attention of staff and ask for a room change. Based on how hospitable they were upon checkin and other interactions, I don't have any doubt that they would have changed rooms if they had availability if I brought it to their attention. That being said, it was still disappointing it was at all present and went unaddressed by their housekeeping/maintenance staff.

Essential Tips for Choosing Your Stay Near Les Invalides

Before you finalize your reservation, it is important to understand the nuances of this specific neighborhood to ensure your stay meets your expectations. The 7th arrondissement is known for its quiet elegance, but it is not a monolith; different streets offer different advantages. The following tips are designed to help you navigate the specific logistics and lifestyle of this upscale district, ensuring you get the best possible value and experience from your visit.

Understand the Transport Links
While the area is central, the walk to the Right Bank can be lengthy. Ensure your hotel is within a five to ten-minute walk of either the Invalides metro station (Lines 8 and 13) or the RER C station. The RER C is particularly valuable if you plan a day trip to the Palace of Versailles, as it connects directly without requiring a transfer at a larger hub.

Consider the View vs. the Street Noise
Many hotels boast "views of the Dôme," but rooms facing the main Esplanade or the Quai d’Orsay can experience traffic noise, especially during weekday rush hours. If you are a light sleeper, request a room facing an interior courtyard. You will sacrifice the panoramic view for a profoundly quieter night’s sleep, which is often the better trade-off.

Look Beyond the Lobby for Dining
The 7th arrondissement is home to some exceptional fine dining, but it also has a reputation for tourist-trap brasseries near the major landmarks. Rather than eating at the hotel restaurant for every meal, walk ten minutes to the Rue Cler market street. Here, you can assemble a picnic of cheese, charcuterie, and wine to enjoy on the Champ de Mars, offering a more authentic and affordable culinary experience.

Check for Air Conditioning
This is a crucial detail that first-time visitors often overlook. While Paris is not tropical, summer heatwaves are becoming increasingly common, and many historic Haussmann buildings lack central air conditioning. Always verify that your chosen hotel explicitly lists air conditioning as an amenity, especially if you are traveling between June and September.

Assess the Walk to the Eiffel Tower
If your primary goal is to see the Eiffel Tower, note that while it looks close on a map, the walk from Les Invalides across the Pont de l’Alma or the Pont d’Iéna can take 20 to 25 minutes. If you plan to visit the Tower multiple times or want to watch the nightly light show, a hotel slightly further west, toward the Gros-Caillou neighborhood, might be more convenient than one directly on the Esplanade.

Choosing a hotel near Les Invalides places you in the heart of aristocratic Paris, surrounded by wide avenues, world-class museums, and a palpable sense of history. It is a neighborhood that encourages you to slow down, dress well, and appreciate the architectural harmony of the City of Light. By selecting a property that aligns with your specific needs—whether that is a view of the Dôme or a quiet garden room—you set the stage for a truly memorable Parisian sojourn.

Ultimately, the best hotel is one that serves as a seamless extension of the neighborhood itself. The properties listed above offer not just a place to sleep, but a gateway to understanding the elegance and rhythm of the Left Bank. With the right preparation and a spirit of exploration, your stay near Les Invalides will be a highlight of your travels in France.
