12 Best Hotels in Reims

Reims is a city that wears its history with elegance, yet moves with a modern, vibrant pulse. As the unofficial capital of the Champagne region, it draws travelers from around the globe who come to toast life’s milestones among some of the most prestigious wine houses on earth. But beyond the chalk cellars and bubbling flutes lies a destination rich with Gothic architecture, Art Deco style, and a distinctly French culinary scene.

Choosing where to stay can dramatically shape your experience of this multifaceted city. Whether you are here for a weekend of tastings, a deep dive into royal history, or a romantic getaway, the right hotel serves as your sanctuary and your launchpad. The best accommodations in Reims blend refined comfort with a sense of place, often located steps away from the city’s grand cathedral or a short walk from the lively Boulingrin district.

From grand, historic châteaux converted into five-star retreats to intimate boutique hideaways tucked behind Haussmannian facades, the city offers a surprising diversity of lodging. Some properties allow you to sleep surrounded by the very vineyards that produce the world’s most celebrated sparkling wine, while others place you in the center of the action, where the scent of fresh pastries wafts up from the street below.

Understanding the local landscape is key. Many luxury hotels in Reims are directly affiliated with major Champagne houses, offering guests exclusive access to cellars and private tastings that are not available to the general public. Meanwhile, smaller design-led hotels focus on personalized service, local art, and a distinctly contemporary French aesthetic that appeals to modern travelers.

This guide is curated to help you navigate the finest places to stay, regardless of your budget or travel style. We have analyzed location, amenities, historical significance, and guest experience to bring you a selection that represents the very best of Reims hospitality. Each recommendation has been chosen for its ability to provide not just a bed, but a memorable chapter in your travel story.

Below, you will find a curated list of the top hotels in Reims, each offering a unique entry point into the soul of the Champagne region. Whether you prioritize a central location, a spa, or a view of the vineyards, this selection ensures you will find a base that feels like home.

Good hotel. Big room. Everything was clean. Simple design. Breakfast is normal for business trips, of traveling in couples. There were only two issues for me: - no air conditioning - very far away from the city
Rahul Kumar★★★☆☆
Great value for money, the room was perfect for our needs as a family of 4. Travelling with 2 over active toddlers is hard at the best of times but the staff that we interacted with at this place were far from doing this place any justice. We arrived after desk had closed. Called the number provided and the person answering was half asleep and said he'd be down in 2 mins, 15 mins later we waited with other late check-in guest and called again then decided to give us code to open lock box with keys. Breakfast staff probably the worst I've ever experienced, minimal food available, just didn't seem to care. Our toddler broke a glass by accident, staff was cleaning next table and just carried on and then moved to clearing another table whilst glass was all over the floor by toddlers. Another guest on another table went and said we needed help to clean glass and staff brought dustpan and brush and placed them next to table with a face like thunder. We swept up the glass ourselves whilst trying to manage 2 toddlers and broken glass everywhere. Other guests were horrified by lack of help staff offered and said to us that they were disgusted and they should have helped to clean it.

I could share my positive experience with this hotel. We had a great rest, the room was clean. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night, but we would happily return again.
GOPAL ZADAFIYA★★★★★
A quite well maintained hotel with rooms that also contains small kitchen. Nice location with plenty of private parking. Reims Center is 10 minutes by car. I would definitely recommend it.
Wander Reitsma★★★★★
A great experience on our route from Portugal to The Netherlands. Nice room, great bed, well maintained. Friendly staff. Good price. Pets welkome. One remark: we are using a Google Chromecast to watch Netflix and Dutch tv. That's not possible, because the WiFi is automatic (not protected). You need a password. We managed by using our mobile hot-spot on one of our phones. One way to do this, but may it's easier to supply a password.

We stayed here for a few nights during our trip to Reims, and our stay was spectacular. From the beginning, staff was friendly and helpful. Victorine assisted in creating an itinerary to include champagne houses, transportation, and dining in the area. Each recommendation was exceptional! The Champagne houses were each unique, and gave us an amazing experience. We ate great, and were safely transported each time. Our experience would not have been the same if it had not been for Victorine, we would not have explored like so. Thank you. Very much for the amazing hospitality. We will absolutely stay here during a next stay in Reims.

Very lovely hotel! We had a nice spacious room with a super comfy bed. Room came with fluffy robes, slippers and water. We had an event to attend so i really appreciated that they had an iron, ironing board and a steamer in the room which came in handy. We took advantage of the room service, which we thought was reasonably priced but the food was okay. Staff are very helpful and attentive. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of the downtown and it’s about a 8-10 min walk to the cathedral. All in all definitely recommend staying here, it’s a great value!

We stayed here during the hottest week in the history of the region. I am very impressed with all the staff we interacted with at the front desk and at the bar. I would like to thank Victorine, who was so kind and helpful from the moment we checked in. The ladies at the front desk are all friendly, spoke fluent English, and very helpful. What is also worth mentioning is that I lost my branded sunglasses at the bar without realising it till much later. A female employee found it and brought it to the front desk. On the day I checked out, I wished to thank her but she was not working so I would like to thank her here once again. I truly appreciate the honesty and integrity of everyone. Even though the heatwave was so unbearable, the warmth and kindness of the staff at this hotel made our trip comfortable and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a 1-night stay in Hyatt Centric Reims last night. The hotel was lovely, clean and well-decorated. The car park was very nice with plenty of parking. After checking out we realised we had locked our car keys in the car. Huge thank you to Lucile who very kindly and quickly found a locksmith to help us. She even stayed throughout and acted as a translator for us! Thank you again! We are so grateful. We will definitely stay again 🙂

Great new hotel - perfect breakfast! Comfy rooms! Clean! Big TVs. Big rooms! Great parking! Emma at the front desk speaks perfect English - she is a star! Pro tip: Go to the sushi place on the corner "Flaveur"! Terrific food and service!

Convenient stopover as very close to the motorway however does feel quite remote as on an industrial estate. Warm and helpful staff with a lovely reception and bar area surrounded by a pool/sauna/gym section, a billiard room and a playroom. We have quite young children and felt the hotel wasn’t best suited to their ages despite the hotels efforts of creating a lovely playroom. The pool has a hot tub attached to it and an outdoor area with sun loungers which stays open until 10pm. The hotel seems to attract a lot of English and Dutch guests so my only recommendation would be to add a Netflix feature to the television for guests doing a stopover. We were too exhausted to make the breakfast timings so the lovely receptionist made us some coffee and brought us some croissants that had been left over - this was greatly appreciated!
Nicholas Spencer★★★★☆
A great place to stop when travelling through. Easy to access, has things to do for kids (pool, billiards table, kids room, gym), and the rooms are decent. Just have plans for dinner; the area is a little industrial-like, but there are a few options a short walk from the hotel.
Robert Scruggs★★★★☆
Very solid hotel, very nice people. This would have been 5 stars if the WiFi actually worked. Unfortunately it did not work during our stay.
phil sellick★★★★★
Very very nice hotel, lovely reception and bar area with very nice and efficient check in staff, the rooms are very spacious. Pool and spa area nice to relax into , and the EV charging is very easy to use. The bar has nice selection of Belgium and French beers Lots of local restaurants nearby, and the breakfast is superb, it is a perfect location for the channel tunnel run from the UK and very reasonable prices.. we are booked to come back in Feb 2026 as it was perfect in 2025
Jo Evans★★★★☆
Great stop over on the long drive from UK, everything great apart from the breakfast most things were gone at 8.30, and too busy with not enough staff replenishing. Also, we had hoped to charge our car overnight and chose the hotel for its chargers but 2 were broken and the others full, so this was frustrating. Useful pool and play area for downtime whilst we were there

Nice and easy location. Easy check in as we didn't book previously, just on the spot. Parking is spacious and easy secure with gate. It's nice esp we have extra high space for our car and trailer. Room is clean. Thank you

In a heatwave this lovely cool room with air conditioning was great. We dined at the seafood restaurant nearly and very easy to drive into central Reims. Plenty of parking at the hotel.
Artemus Bill★★★★☆
Walked in and were greeted by a friendly and efficient staff member. Given directions to our rooms and our receipt which had our room code on. A six number code to enter the room, so don't lose the receipt, would be nice to have this on a small card. The room was very clean and warm. Had usb plugs next to the bed which is handy if you don't travel with a french charging plug. The bed was comfy with nice smelling linen, towels were fluffy. Plenty of standard loo paper. Light switches on the head board which were useful and well placed.
Sue Flute★★★★★
Driving back from Annecy to the UK for a night. The hotel was easy to find, secure parking, delightfully friendly staff, who checked that I had eaten on arrival and assured me that they could help if I needed to eat. Fab breakfast, comfortable bed. Great find. Well definitely use again and recommend to my friends. Thank you.

This was our second stay here. We arrived late afternoon to check in. There is plenty of secure parking and location is brilliant, very close to the Autoroute. Check in was quick and easy with excellent, friendly staff in the desk. You get give a key code for the room - no physical key or card. There is a lift but we used the stairs up to the first floor. The room was small but perfectly adequate. It had a double bed with a single bunk above, perpendicular to the main bed. Decor was modern and the room was clean. There was an en-suite shower room which was clean and towels are provided. The room had a TV and a small table. The bedside socket has USB for charging devices. There was a large window in the room which, somewhat unusually, can be fully opened. The beds are comfortable and we slept well - the room was also a nice temperature. There was no noise in the evening but we were woken when people started banging around in their rooms and corridors at 6am. We paid for breakfast which was ok - an adequate selection for the price and decent quality. When we arrived there was a large group parked up near the ground floor rooms, chatting and drinking with friends in the rooms who had the windows wide open. A lot of the rooms had shoes and clothes hanging out of the windows drying. However, it’s not a hotel you go to for the external aesthetic so not really a problem. There’s a supermarket, cinema, bowling alley and lots of restaurants within a short walk so overall a great location. For the price and the location, brilliant hotel which I’d recommend for sure.

Very basic as you would expect, but the staff were insistent that we parked our car outside the hotel grounds as the parking was full. At night there was a lot of noise including bangers going off constantly that sounded like gun shots. Overall the quality of this hotel was not very good even for a basic place it’s pretty run down I will not be using this or any other hotel from this brand in the future.

Liked . The room was clean and the shower was powerful. Secure car park once inside. The hotel is close to Aldi and McDonalds, but check opening hours. There is also a shopping Centre a short walk away with an excellent China buffet. Disliked · The welcome by the establishment and the reception. The location was not up to other Première Classe hotels we've been to. After a 12 hour drive, we arrived to be locked out of the car park. This was mid afternoon, not in the middle of the night. The entrance was also not signposted and we drove past it a few times. I rang the number on the gate, and the guy didn't understand me and hung up. (I don't expect fluency, but some basic language skills is important to welcome international visitors.) This left me very upset as I was tired. I found a pedestrian gate and managed to get to reception and get a code for the gate. The guy on reception didn't understand English, and was probably the guy who answered the phone. Please provide a code for the gate in the welcome information, with a What3Words address. Note that I took the photo of the gate later when it was darker.

Super helpful staff - I had loads of kit to unload (be aware parking spaces are limited). Room was better than I expected for the price - my mission was to find the cheapest room in the area so I was prepared for much worse - great value for money!
Funke Eric★★★★★
5? 5 stars? Why? Ok: It's the value for money. I paid 80 Euro for a family of five to sleep in a clean room in a clean hotel with a clean shower , air-conditioning, private parking with unlimited French breakfast. 50m away from McDonald's. Ok, that last addition is probably against French core values but hey. Staff is friendly and there is no need to look for the bell boy. No, but really. If you're looking for an affordable place to sleep and want your kids close to you: come here.
Hannah Bauer★★★☆☆
Premiere Classe Reims Nord - Betheny is fine if you need a budget-friendly place to stay for a night or two. The rooms are small but clean, and check-in was straightforward. However, the facilities are very basic, and some areas feel a bit worn. It’s convenient for a quick stop, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay or if you’re looking for comfort and amenities.

This place is absolutely amazing. The room was super cozy and welcoming, when I opened the door I was literally speechless. If I ever stay in Reims again I will 100% pick this place again.

Absolutely perfect! We had the bistro apartment and it was amazing. We booked last minute the owners were very friendly got us in quickly. It was clean quiet and a really unique and interesting apartment. I would recommend anyone staying in reims to stay here and when we are back in reims will definitely return and tell everyone we know to stay here.

This has to be one of the best apartments in Reims. Very comfortable well appointment and very convenient to the city centre. Charming host and highly recommended.

The hotel is well situated in the heart of Reims. Walkable to most sights. The room is very simple and clean. The bathroom was good size, the bed was comfortable. One complaint~ The pillows were not good. You may want to ask the front desk if there are additional somewhere. Overall a pleasant stay. The customer service and breakfast were all great!
Cathy Cooke★★★★☆
Really lovely small hotel, great central location, very comfortable bed, very clean, aircon in our room, and very reasonably priced. Easy booking directly online. Petit dejeuner was traditional continental with one of the best croissants I've ever eaten and delicious fruit and yoghurt. However, the coffee was not great. Unfortunately, by nature a continental breakfast is very high carbohydrate/sugar and not suitable for a diabetic - with nothing else on offer. Despite this we had a lovely stay and would definitely book again.
Kurt derKritiker★★☆☆☆
The single rooms are very inexpensive compared to other accommodations (and there are several reasons for this: they are very small, heat up significantly in the summer, no air conditioning, the bathroom has no door, and the parking situation is critical). Nevertheless, the breakfast consisting of yogurt, coffee, jam, and croissants was adequate. The small inner courtyard is also very nice.
Andy Veldhuis★★★★★
Nice hotel, very clean and in very well maintained condition. Friendly personnel. Simple and tasty breakfast. No elevator. Garage parking nearby, boxspace just fits a modern car like a Tesla 3.
Emma Darke★★★★★
Great little hotel in a central location. Quiet, with secure parking nearby (for a fee). Everything within a short walk. Breakfast was reasonably priced and perfectly good. Additionally, it was spotlessly clean with very helpful staff. Highly recommend.

We have stayed at many Holiday Inn and IHG hotels over the years, and this property is a real standout, even amongst other luxury brands in the portfolio. The location is ideal—right in the city center, just a short walking distance from the train station, and a 10-minute car commute to many Champagne wineries. The rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, and the bedding and amenities are very nice. The service is the real star here; everyone is so welcoming and engaging. A special mention must go to Flory at the front office for her genuine kindness—it truly set the tone for our stay. We also especially enjoyed our time at the rooftop restaurant, Il Duomo, which was fully booked for sunset and dinner, yet the team still did their best to accommodate us. The views are nice, the cocktails are high-quality, and the food—while the menu is concise—is tasty and of good value. The wine and Champagne list is extensive and very fairly priced. Cesar, the manager of Il Duomo, does a wonderful job leading his team with such kindness and empathy, and it shows in the attentive service. As a hospitality professional myself, I was thoroughly impressed by the standards maintained by this team across the hotel. I highly recommend this property for your stay in Reims and kudos to everyone for an impressive experience—a true standout for the Holiday Inn brand!
yogiwong misb★★★★★
Looks recently renovated. Rooms are small, clean and comfortable. An upgrade included a side patio which gave good lighting and ventilation. The location was truly fantastic. We were surrounded by restaurants, brasseries, bistros and a 10mins walk to the cathedral. There was a car park downstairs for €15/day where space was tight but convenient.
Pammy K★☆☆☆☆
I had to give this hotel a low rating not just due to the rooms but the services they advertise and are not available. First there was black mould in the bathroom. This is an easy fix with some strong cleaning sprays. What was most annoying is they had multiple car chargers but not a single one but being used. So during our stay we were unable to charge our car at any point the evening we arrived or the next day. Please see pictures as proof. This needs to be managed. Soon as people are not using charging stations they need to move. Also if non EV cars are parking there’s that a big issue.
Gail Johnson★★★★☆
We have been several times and for the price the room is a bit underwhelming. However we come back as it's so easy to get to and back out to the main road, with secure parking and a great location for the restaurants and bars. Staff are lovely and helpful.
Rebecca K★★☆☆☆
Disappointing stay overall. The hotel lacked several facilities and service level that I would normally expect from a 4-star hotel. We also experienced issues with the room, including problems with the toilet and sink. Service was inconsistent, and communication was sometimes difficult as some staff members did not speak English. The location was convenient, but the overall experience did not meet expectations.

We recently stayed at the Radisson Hotel Reims and, overall, had a pleasant stay. Our room was modern and comfortable. We did find that it was very dusty. One area that could be improved is the parking information. It wasn't clear when booking that parking is in a nearby public car park rather than at the hotel itself, and there is an additional charge. Clearer information before arrival would have been helpful. I had to call and ask for this information. We had also looked at the dinner menu online before our stay, and it offered a good variety of dishes. However, when we went to the restaurant, the menu was completely different and much more limited. As someone with coeliac disease, this left me with very few gluten-free choices, which was disappointing. We then ended up having to go out and find somewhere elsewhere for dinner which wasnt ideal as we had been travelling all day and were tired and wanted something easy before returning home on the tunnel early the next day.
Ceri Menai-Davis★☆☆☆☆
Checked in after a long journey. Car park will not fit larger cars and other parking is over 1/2 mile away. Room was clean, but the air con was broken in the room and was above 25 degrees. Asked reception to come and fix, they said big rooms in the hotel don’t get cool. Offered me a hand fan and a tower fan from the receptions office. I asked could we be moved into two rooms as there was two children with us and we would have to split. He said no, as no rooms available. I searched online and there was two rooms available to purchase. Complained and then a duty manager who was there by chance moved us. We went into the two rooms and yet again the air con didn’t work. We asked for a refund on a 2nd night, they agreed, as we wanted to leave the hotel . I was told they would look into it. After 48 hours we got a response to say refund would be applied. It’s now 3 weeks since the refund was promised and no money has appeared in our bank. The communication is slow, taking days to get back to you. And with no answer or results. I would advise to stay clear of the hotel and look for others as an alternative . Poor service and poor customer interactions from a brand who is supposed to have a reputation
Winrik Lambrecht★★★★☆
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and had the family room. A very spacious room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids room has bunk beds and you can close it with a door or curtain. Which is very handy if the parents want to watch TV when the kids need to sleep. The hotel is tidy and modern, what you expect from Radisson. The parking is external to the hotel but right next to it, be sure to ask for a ticket at the reception, far cheaper than the parking fee. Location is also very good, just outside the city center. A mere 10min walk away but you are in the quiet. Only thing that is a bit underwhelming is the breakfast, rather boring imo.
Bora★★★☆☆
I had high expectations for this stay, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. That said, several basic things were not right. The gym was much smaller than the photos suggested. Breakfast was okay, but limited, and the fruit on the buffet did not taste fresh. The bigger issue was cleanliness. There was a lot of dust under the bed, along with a visible piece of plastic that had a very unfortunate shape... It may not have been what it looked like, but it is not something you want to discover in a hotel room. I also had a strange issue after using Chromecast twice, where my Prime Video account appeared to be accessed by someone else in the hotel (live watching a tv series). That is quite concerning from a guest privacy point of view! The Radisson VIP recognition was also underwhelming. I booked a room with a city view and, after being told I had been upgraded, I asked in advance whether the room would still have a city view. The hotel confirmed it would. At check in, I was also told I could see the cathedral. In reality, from the 3rd floor, the view was mainly of a rectangular building directly opposite. I have attached a photo. I do not expect special treatment, but I do expect accurate information, proper cleaning and basic awareness of what each room actually offers. Overall, the hotel looks pleasant on the surface, but the stay felt like cost cutting in practice. Friendly staff, decent decor, but weak operations.
Linda Martin★★★★☆
A modern, clean and comfortable hotel with good staff, decent breakfasts and a rooftop bar. Its a little out of the centre in a modern development. Next door to a sports complex with a swimming pool and opposite the Arena. Perfect if thats where you went to be but we could have preferred something more central as we are in our 70s.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Reims. Ruinart and Pommery are walkable, about 35 minutes. Superior Room was very good, comfy beds and great bathrooms. Breakfast was very varied and what I had was all tasty and well cooked. The garden is lovely for a glass of Champagne! Staff were all super friendly.

A really reliable choice in Reims – Best Western Premier Hotel de la Paix is one I’d happily recommend to clients. Stayed here with a group and it worked brilliantly – everyone came away impressed. The rooms are a great size for a central hotel, comfortable, and well set up for a short stay. The pool is a real bonus after a day exploring or Champagne tastings, and the patio offers a relaxed spot for a drink. What really stood out, though, was the staff – consistently warm, professional, and extremely helpful throughout, which makes a big difference when travelling as a group. Small tip: the public car park just across the street is cheaper than the hotel’s own parking and very convenient. A dependable, well-located option in Reims that I’d confidently suggest to anyone visiting the region.
Allan Minnet★★★★★
Really a nice hotel... the rooms are very nice and good beds. The hotel is situated just beside the mail street in the town center but still itis nice and quite. God service at the front desk. Remember to resevate parking spare if you come by car. Nice breakfast and the hotel restaurant makes nice and well made food...

we stayed at the Best Western Plus in Reims a couple of years ago and realized I never left a review. It was a fantastic stay from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly stay here again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Reims
Nadine Venter★★☆☆☆
Check in time is stated as 15:00. In my check in form, I set my arrival time for 15:00. After driving for over 8 hours, we arrived at 15:50. We were then told that out room was not yet ready and we had to wait. I'm not sure why we are expected to pay for the full time if we cannot use the room at the stated check in time. The staff told us that we cannot expect that they have all rooms cleaned at 15:00. This does not make sense, and I'm not sure why it should be a negative impact on us, as I'm sure there were other guest with later check in times stated on their intake forms! Also, everyone else's luggage was offered to be taken up to their rooms, but not ours. Our 70 year old parents had to carry their own luggage up. This is not what I expect from your hotel and I am highly disappointed.

Tips for Choosing the Right Hotel in Reims

Selecting the perfect hotel in Reims involves more than just comparing star ratings. The city is compact, but the character of its neighborhoods varies significantly, and the style of hospitality can differ between a grand palace and a family-run guesthouse. The following practical tips will help you match your accommodation to your travel priorities, ensuring a stay that is both comfortable and strategically located.

Prioritize proximity to your main activities. If your itinerary revolves around Champagne house tours on Avenue de Champagne or in Épernay, a hotel with easy access to the train station or a dedicated driver service is invaluable. For those focused on sightseeing, staying within walking distance of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims and the Palace of Tau saves time and taxi fares.

Consider the “Champagne House” connection. Several top-tier hotels are owned or operated by major Champagne brands. Staying at one of these properties often unlocks exclusive benefits, such as private cellar tours, complimentary tastings, or priority reservations at prestigious maisons. If wine tourism is your primary goal, this can add significant value to your room rate.

Check for parking and accessibility before booking. Reims is a walkable city, but if you are arriving by car, parking can be challenging in the historic center. Many central hotels do not have on-site parking and rely on public garages. Verify whether your hotel offers valet service, a dedicated lot, or discounted rates at a nearby facility, especially if you plan day trips into the surrounding vineyards.

Understand the seasonal demand. The Champagne region experiences peak tourism from late spring through early autumn, as well as during the Christmas market season in December. During these periods, the best rooms sell out weeks or months in advance, and prices rise accordingly. Booking early not only secures your preferred property but often locks in a better rate.

Look beyond the room rate. A slightly higher nightly price can sometimes be the better value when breakfast, Wi-Fi, spa access, or a welcome glass of Champagne is included. Reims hotels often offer packages that bundle experiences, such as vineyard tours or gourmet dinners. Compare the total cost of your stay, including what you would pay separately for these extras.

Reims is a city that rewards those who take the time to linger. The right hotel does more than provide a place to sleep; it frames your entire experience, offering a quiet moment on a balcony overlooking the cathedral or a glass of vintage Champagne in a garden that has hosted travelers for centuries.

As you plan your journey, remember that the essence of Reims is not found in a checklist of sights, but in the unhurried moments between them. Choose a base that reflects your travel philosophy, and you will find that the city opens itself to you in ways you never expected.
