I had a good stay overall. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning, although there was a fan that helped. For me, it was enough to stay comfortable during the night. The room had everything I needed. It was a little cramped, but that wasn’t a problem for me. One thing to keep in mind is the reception’s limited opening hours, so make sure your arrival time matches their schedule. In my case, it worked out perfectly, which is one of the reasons I chose this place. They were even kind enough to let me check in at around 9:00 a.m., even though the official check-in time is 5:00 p.m. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the staff’s flexibility.
Angelina Miats★★★★★
Great experience overall, and special thanks to Pascoalina at the reception. She was very kind, helpful, and understanding, and made my arrival much easier. I really appreciated her attitude and support! The room is small but cozy and clean. Be aware that there’s no elevator in the building. Thank you again!
Rae Zyon★★★★★
A practical choice for solo travellers, offering a very clean room and a spacious, tidy bathroom. The room provides a beautiful view of the main street, although the floor has a noticeable slant due to the age of the building, which requires sleeping in the opposite direction for comfort. Be prepared to carry luggage up the stairs as there is no elevator on-site. Amenities include a television in the room, and the hotel is conveniently situated directly across from a tram station. Check in is at the main hotel further up the road.
Helen Price★★★★★
Basic facilities but location is great. Close to a good selection if restaurants and bars. Staff very nice and accommodating.
Luna★★☆☆☆
Great location, but disappointing service and room assignment The hotel has a very convenient location, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. They operate across three different addresses and two receptions ,only one is open 24/7 and allows luggage storage, but the address shown on Booking.com is for the one with limited hours, which caused confusion. I stayed two nights and booked a double bed with a desk. Instead, I was given two single beds and no desk ,I had to work sitting on the floor and couldn’t sleep well. I asked to switch rooms the next morning, and was told one would be ready by 13:30 at the other reception. I came back at that time, tired and needing to work, but still had to wait until 15:00 to get the correct room. No apology, no compensation. The location is good, but basic communication and professionalism were lacking. Hopefully management improves their communication and room handling ,the location deserves better.

Appart'City Confort Nantes Cité des Congrès – Honest Review (with a bit of reality check) Stayed here recently and… it was a bit of a mixed bag. 🏨 Rooms – 4/5 The apartment-style setup is honestly the best part. You get a microwave, stove, cutlery… basically everything you need to pretend you’re living in Nantes for a few days instead of just visiting. Bathroom was spacious and clean, although the classic “why is there water on the floor again?” situation made an appearance. Bed was decent but not great, I can say the bed were uncomfortable to be honest, heating worked perfectly, and no issues with hot water. So yeah, rooms did their job. 📍 Location – 3/5 Not bad, not amazing. It’s one of those places where you won’t complain, but you won’t brag about it either. 🛎️ Service – 1/5 (but with one exception) Let’s just say… don’t expect much. BUT the receptionist we spoke to was genuinely lovely, helpful, and spoke English (which saved us a lot of confusion). Big credit to her. Also, they’ll store your luggage if you arrive early, which is helpful since early check-in depends on availability. 🥐 Breakfast – The Real Plot Twist This is where things went sideways. If you’re imagining a nice hotel breakfast spread… reset your expectations immediately. What you get: Croissants, madeleines, one type of sourdough bread, butter, ham, cheese… and confusion. Scrambled eggs that didn’t look very scrambled. Boiled eggs… that were not boiled. You have to boil them yourself. Yes, really. At one point it felt like we were the ones working in the kitchen. No toaster in sight. Sugar neatly placed on tables like it’s VIP, but salt and pepper? You have to go on a little treasure hunt to find those. Coffee and orange juice were just… there. Existing. Not impressing anyone. 💡 Pro Tip (Learn from my mistakes): Skip the breakfast. Seriously. Save your money. Your room already has everything you need. Just go to a nearby supermarket, grab eggs, veggies, whatever you like, and make your own breakfast. It’ll be cheaper, better, and you won’t question your life choices at 8 AM. ⭐ Final Verdict – 3.5/5 Would I stay again? Probably not. Would I recommend it? Yes… but with conditions. Great for the room setup. Not great if you’re relying on hotel service or breakfast..

Dingy, small and low budget. The breakfast is passable just avoid the powdered scramble eggs and opt for soft boiling instead. The upside is the excellent location. You can walk to most points of interest or hop on the tram.

Nice apartment close to the castle. The apartment is well equipped and is really quiet at night. Everything was very clean. The best was the woman at the reception (Bruna); she was super nice and helpfull, always smiling! Thank you a lot for your great job! I fee meters there is a supermarket and a really good bakery. I totally recommed the place 🙂

stay the hotel for a work trip. costs around 130 per night, overpriced. no air conditioning during summer with 38 degree. the breakfast also not good, limited options. so small room with uncomfortable beds. the first floor is so wet with bad smell.
Yvonne Alexandra★★☆☆☆
Way to expensive for the whole experience.. rooms would need renovation, the service was not quite friendly (even though we communicated in French), dogs are allowed - and you pay extra - but not gladly seen.

Great team at the front desk We had two nights at your hotel. Staff at the front desk so incredible . The room cleanliness is can be much better especially toilet. Extra pillow with the yellow stain which is no so pleasant. The door is very hard to open in the room and it was hard to access with the baby stroller. Breakfast was good but will be good if there will be some joy dishes as well. Location is great. But for sure your staff is making a stay much much better

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are quiet and comfortable. The location is excellent for the city, you can walk almost anywhere. The breakfast is good and very plentiful, there's a bit of everything and everyone should enjoy it. Also, they leave some fruit, coffee, tea and croissants to be for the guests any time of the day, very nice! The people at the hotel were very nice and extremely helpful, this makes a big difference.
Shreenivas S★☆☆☆☆
It's surprising that Ibis runs such an awful property. The rooms are like a matchbox. No drinking water, no toiletries, no safe, no coffee maker in the room. The bath cubicle is like a coffin which just fits an average sized person. One can't even lift his hand to apply soap or shampoo. It's even harder to use the commode. The breakfast is very poor. The best description is this is a poor man's bed and breakfast den. Please don't stay here.
Cláudia Lisboa★★★☆☆
The location is great, right in the city centre and close to everything. However, my room was near the elevator, so there was always some noise, which sometimes made it hard to rest properly. The breakfast area is quite small, and on some mornings it was too crowded, so I preferred to have breakfast elsewhere. When I had breakfast there, I noticed the selection could be a bit broader, adding a bit more variety would make it even better.
Maria Gl★★★★★
Everything was great at that hotel. Shower in my room was a bit small and I would appreciate closed door for aesthetics , but Greta breakfast made up for this. It had freshly squeezed orange juice , votary of quality artisanal teas and good quality coffee as well lots of breakfast food ( not many veggies though ). Great experience in best location of town. May it’s under new management because it’s very good for a price

This hotel looks brand new and exactly like the pictures. It was quiet, clean and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms/ beds/linens were very nice and were a decent size with nice toiletries. Although there was no hot options for breakfast it was pleasant enough and did the job. The location was great as it’s only a short walk from the airport shuttle bus stop, and directly opposite the station which made it easy for our day trip to Clisson. Carrefour right next door and bars and restaurants within a minutes walk but we headed into the centre for food as the atmosphere was better. A lovely boutique hotel, highly recommended. Thanks Chachacha

The hotel is beautiful, well located, clean and well isolated from the noise. Nice bedding also. I'm taking one star because when booking in certain platforms they say ok late check out when available. But when I went to ask they say for 20 euros even with the reservation showing that it should be free of charge if they have availability. I find that super shady.

Clean and cute little hotel within walking distance from evertyhing. Sweet staff that were really helpful, the breakfast was sufficient for the price, the rooms were suprisingly quiet and well-isolated. I highly recommend!

Well designed hotel near the centre and station - perfect for us as we were catching an early train the next day. Rooms are quite small but very well designed. Staff are super helpful - I managed to mess up my booking and they sorted it out on email really quickly for me. Would recommend.

I had a very upsetting experience at this hotel involving a worrying lack of cultural awareness and multiple violations of guest privacy. Through a series of administrative mistakes, I inadvertently came to know the personal details of another guest. This raises serious concerns not only about privacy, but also about personal safety. Before my trip, I emailed the hotel to confirm my reservation. In their reply, they mistakenly sent me the full booking details of another guest — including their full name, dates of stay, room number, and number of occupants — who happened to have a Mandarin name. They then sent me the correct information after I replied pointing out that my name was different. After I checked out, I received a receipt listing my nationality as “Chinese”, even though I am from Taiwan. I contacted the hotel to correct this. They apologized and sent a corrected version, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today, however, I received the receipt of the very same guest they had previously confused me with. According to that document, this person is actually French, despite having a Mandarin name. To make matters worse, through this document I also learned further personal details about this guest: their gender, nationality, and booking reference number. At this point, it is hard not to see a pattern of a troubling disregard for guest privacy, as well as a worrying lack of awareness in the way they handle Asian names and nationalities.

The staff were all very cheerful and polite. The lounge area feels really well designed and cool. The only downside is that I wasn't expecting to have to give a credit card to secure against damages as I had already paid. Also, it's strange you have to step through the shower to get to the toilet.

Some reviews must have been written by cranky people. 🙂 Parking was great. We called & were provided perfect instructions. Bathroom.... yes, the designer didn't think through the wet floor of the shower possibly reaching the toilet area... (they have newer hotels w an improved design)... so toss a towel down and call it a day! Great staff! The lounge/café area was 💯% an added bonus.... always a nibble & (non alcoholic) drinks available. Would recommend w/o hesitation!

Position excellent! But : Dust one finger thick at the cloison between room and bathroom!!@! At breakfast area they had the bread without gluten on a shelf perforated between the croissants and the bread with gluten!!! the door of the bathroom opens over the douche area. So when someone had a douche, to enter the bathroom again had to passe throughout the wet floor of the douche area!!! architectural error...fancy and modern hotel, but in details inacceptable!!!
Timmy Bazylak★★★★☆
Location is great, close to lots of sight seeing areas, restaurants ect. Rooms were not good, the architecture of the room allowed a person pooping or showering to me visible to anyone sitting down at the desk, or laying on the bed. Breakfast was good mostly. Gym a bit crowded. Elevators broke when we check out, had to take suitcases down ~5 flights of stairs 4 floors.

Fantastic hotel, everything was great. The location to the castle is 2 minutes away. Nantes is a great city to explore on foot and Okko is the perfect starting point. Parking is available onsiye but limited, so book it.

My husband and I travel to Nantes every year and we have stayed here the past few years. We have stayed at several hotels in Nantes, but this is our favorite! The apartments are very roomy, incredibly clean and well-appointed. The staff is fantastic! Very gracious and helpful. The apartments are very quiet, but located a short walk to lovely restaurants and grocers. We will be back next year!
Seb Neal★★★★☆
The apartments are well located for trams and there’s a little supermarket, lively bar and bakeries a short walk away. It’s a 20-minute stroll into town, less to the superb Talensac market. For us, the bed was a bit soft and just one pillow each wasn’t enough. Otherwise, everything was fine, clean and very quiet.
Ger Thomas★★★★★
I stayed at the Adagio Access Nantes Viarme for two weeks and not much to say except that it was a very pleasant stay. Clean and quiet room, kitchen equipment is enough and convenient for some quick meals, well equipped bathroom. Hotel is very well situated close to tramway ligne 3 and city centre and its multiple shops/ restaurants. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.
Acute CS★★★★☆
We had an accident at midnight last night and emailed to request to allow a late check out at 1pm but no reply. We called the reception and said the charges be €30. A hotel service and courtesy does include support at emergency, not only the room and its outlook. Staff the most important resources and we do not recommend especially you have kids and elder.

This hotel is well situated with a great view of the castle. It is right in the centre, has on site parking, air conditioning and very comfortable rooms. The street was quiet during the day and at night. The breakfast was very good. Everything in town was walkable. The service was good but we didn't use it much. However, the receptionist was very welcoming on our arrival and showed us where to park, how everything worked etc. A great base for a couple of nights.
Richard Wallick★★★★☆
I enjoyed this hotel more and more the longer I stayed. Location could not be better. Service was wonderful. We had a room with a terrace, which was very pleasant. It's an older hotel, with lots of different types of rooms for different tastes. Like most older hotels, it has a few charming quirks. The hallways are narrow and a bit dim; the stairs from reception to the first floor could use a rail. There is heat and A/C, but not both at the same time... the building switches from one to the other each fall and spring. A rainy day can cause musty smells in the lower floor rooms. None of these things distracted us from enjoying our stay.
Peter Bridge★★☆☆☆
Great location. Nice looking establishment with nice looking rooms. Now come the negatives. My room looks on to the parking courtyard. Across the way from my room, and looking directly into my room are apartments with families and screaming and crying children. It's a hot summer and there's no air conditioning. With the window open everybody's looking directly into my room. In the middle of the night people are coming and going in the courtyard. Last negative, my bathroom and room stink of sewage. At least one of the drains in the bathroom was not correctly plumbed and it is open to the sewer. Like I said, this is a nice looking hotel with a great location, but in 2025 the flaws I listed are unacceptable in a three-star. I might consider staying here during cool seasons, but I'd still have to smell the sewage. Oops... The wind shifted and now the hotel is in the landing flight path of the airport. A jet goes past directly overhead every 4 or 5 minutes. You decide whether the price is worth the downside.
Catriona Macdonald★★★★★
Clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had a garden room with a little terrace which was a lovely touch, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Great location and very quiet given the central location. 100% would stay again!

Very friendly people, nice location, great hotel. Parking on-site (keep in mind not a dedicated site, so you need to leave keys for them to Play musical chairs with your car) nice breakfast. Wi-Fi is not useable - sometimes ok but poor most of the time. Their WiFi prevents vpn so be aware. Also cellular service in my rooms was non existent. Had to go outside hotel use get connected through my cellular for computer use with vpn.

What a perfect booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly and housekeeping was very good. Limited but more than adequate breakfast.
Claire Boelema★★★★★
We've just spent a very enjoyable two nights at Mercure Nantes Centre Passage Pommeraye. The hotel is almost opposite the Passage Pommeraye and within easy walking distance of the other attractions. The area is very safe and quiet . It is a beautiful boutique style hotel which manages to sympathetically blend the old building with modern touches. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for more from them. We had a superior room which had a small julliette balcony and overlooked the street. The room itself was spotlessly clean and had a safe, fridge, hairdryer, white towelling robes, slippers, kettle and coffee machine. There was also complimentary drinks in the fridge and a bottle of water. Hanging space was limited but adequate for a short stay. The air con was set to 19 which was perfect for us. The bathroom was compact. The shower was in a high bath tub which I found a little difficult to get in and out of. There was no anti-slip mat. The toilet is very close to the wall and a larger person would possibly have to sit sideways. I'm not sure why the designer didn't put a walk in shower which would've given more space for the toilet. The bathroom again was spotlessly clean and had plenty of hanging hooks and shelf space. We really enjoyed the NUXE toiletries and the heated towel rail meant that we could reuse our towels. Breakfast is served in the reception area. There is an excellent choice of products all of which were really fresh. I really enjoyed the crepes and cheeses. I also loved the loose leaf tea (so much so that I ended up buying some from the nearby Palais de The to take home). We would happily stay here again should we return to Nantes.
Oscar Bellandi★☆☆☆☆
I booked at Mercure Nantes (Accor group) and, due to a cancelled flight, I was only able to use one of the two nights I had prepaid. I informed the hotel in advance, two days before arrival. They replied that no refund was possible because of the rate conditions, which I can understand, but what disappointed me was the complete lack of flexibility or customer care. No voucher, no points credit, no upgrade, not even a small commercial gesture for a loyal Accor customer. I ended up paying almost €190 for a night I could not even use. Staff was polite, but the attitude was extremely rigid and honestly not what I would expect from an international hotel brand.”
George Sampson★★★★★
One of my favourite hotels (not to be confused with the nearby Mercure Central). Highly recommend the superior double which is more impressive than the photos suggest. Nearby parking at Graslin and friendly staff. Ideal location.
Jacob Burkh★★★★☆
The beds in the lowest category of rooms are too small for two. I recommend rather booking without breakfast and one cat up. The breakfast is ok but just not worth what they are charging. You could have a breakfast in one of the cafes nearby… Also: the Hotel does not have a lobby/lounge/bar. The vibes are rather like an apartment building. None the less I think it is a good option to stay for one or two nights.

Rooms ok. No soap in shower mind. Breakfast was a complete joke. Came down, there was no plates, no staff, I was just left standing here like an absolute fool. Then when the plates were brought out there was no eggs. No bacon. The young girl who seemed to be working on her own brought out a plate of scrambled eggs that looked like they needed another 10 mins cooking. “Slop” After almost a 1000 mile drive I woke to eat and ended up with a plate of bread due to there being nothing else other than runny eggs. and a selection of breads. Absolutely joke. By the way I came down at 9.30am so it was busy. Any time the girl brought anything out it was snapped out in seconds.

Receptionist was very warm and kind. Breakfast is amazing and staff were friendly. Bed was really comfy and not much of traffic noise. Only downside is that we tried calling receptionist to try and request or ask if they have Toothpaste on New Year’s Eve at around 8pm.... no answer AT ALL. We tried calling multiple times but same no answer and they didn’t call back. Since there was only 1 number on the phone and we were both too tired and fed up to go downstairs we just left it be.. so much for 15minutes smile service brochure that was just next to the phone.

This was my first time staying in a hotel converted from a church, and it was such a unique experience. You can still clearly see the original architecture even after the renovation. I highly recommend arriving around noon, at this time of day, the stained glass windows above look absolutely stunning as the sunlight shines through. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very comfortable, and both the coffee machine and the bed were spotless. However, there is no air conditioning in the lobby, which I strongly suggest installing. There was a heatwave on the day of our stay, and even the staff were flushed red from the heat. For everyone's health and comfort, adding AC to the lobby is highly recommended.

What a place! Impressive chapel transformation, well executed, nice vibe. Great to see the retrofit history in pictures on the walls. Bike friendly hotel. On the negative side: I found it odd to have someone for morning breakfast to push the button on the expresso machine and supervise the tables, I felt like in a prison canteen, shame.
High Sportsmanship★★★★☆
The hotel is a striking place, with over 20 rooms built into the bones of an old church. It's a fantastic space. However, they have just four parking spaces for guests, and the neighborhood has a sort of 'wrong side of the tracks' vibe. So best to ask after the parking when you book! The rooms are small. Like really small. Few outlets to use. And the menu for food at the hotel is microwaved pre-made meals. That's unfortunate because of the lack of easy to get to restaurants nearby. The location is otherwise good, in walking distance to the old city center of Nantes. We spent one night there, and since the parking was bad and the room was so tiny, we decamped to another hotel further west. Much better! Had we been in our 30s with an overnight bag, this would have worked. On a marathon Europe trip with lots of bags, not so much.
Nick Sutton★★★☆☆
4 star rated hotel, but access to the spa area is for small private use with reservation at least 2 hours in advance, no general hotel clientele access/use, which means that with approx 20 rooms in the hotel you are almost guaranteed to get no ad-hoc access. For me this should not count to achieving 4 start hotel classification - it is cheating. Overall the concept is nice (renovation/conversion of an old chapel) rooms are rather basic though with very little storage space so we had our bags and suff layed out on the cntre counter top giving a messy unconfortable feel to the space, the bed is not very comfortable, and the carpet was not well cleaned. A shame, not worth the money unless you accept the the novelty deserves a premium.
Anurag Sahare★★★★★
We stayed here for 4 nights and truly enjoyed every moment. The rooms are beautifully designed with stunning glass features that give a unique atmosphere. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options. The hotel is located right next to a large, beautiful park—perfect for a morning walk. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Highly recommend this beautifully redesigned church hotel.

I recently stayed at the Demain Hotel and had a very positive experience. If you are looking for a base that puts you in the heart of the city, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Nantes on foot. You can easily navigate the entire city by simply following the famous "Green Line" , which is very convenient. When you’re ready to head home, it is just a 10-minute walk to the tram station, which offers connection to Nantes Airport. Additionally, you are just a 5-minute stroll from several amazing restaurants and cafes, making it very easy to find a great meal. It is worth noting that, as many other reviews have mentioned, the rooms are quite compact. This is perfectly fine for a couple on a city break, but if you are traveling as a family, you may want to consider other options with more space. Overall, I would highly recommend the Demain Hotel. The location is unbeatable, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is a fantastic spot for anyone prioritizing convenience and service over expansive room size.

This is one of the cutest hotel that I’ve stayed. The decoration was amazing. Room was big enough. Everything was very well thought out. Cleaning was also okay. And the location was very great to visit especially old town.

I had a great stay at the Demain Hotel! My room was sparkling clean and I loved the funky design in bright colours. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and well pressurised. The view from my room in the attic added to the feeling of being away from the city while being right in it. The check in staff was very friendly and always ready for a chat. There was filter coffee and tea available anytime at the reception area. The location of the hotel is practically only 2 minutes away from the city centre, 20min by foot from the train station (buses and tram would be faster). After having travelled to 127 countries I love smaller hotels like this which are comfortable and welcoming!

Great location, friendly and helpful staff Room and bathroom were clean, also spacious enough for a person and the bed was super comfortable

I was really impressed by this hotel. The staff are amazing, the rooms are clean and the beds extremely comfortable. WiFi was really strong and great to have charging points right next to the bed. The only downside is you can’t make yourself a hot drink in the room. We will always stay here if in Nantes.

Reasonably spatious room, clean. Good breakfast. Nice location: very close to the TGV station and also to the downtown.

We were very pleased with our 6-night stay! The location was wonderful - close to the train station, public transportation, and a short walk to many shops, restaurants and a lovely park. The hotel has many eco - friendly practices, including a water bottle filler. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal, bread and pastries. Items are locally sourced when possible and the bread is baked fresh in the breakfast area. Our room had a small balcony, and the blackout blinds and curtains worked very well. This hotel was an excellent value!

The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The location is excellent — right across from the beautiful botanical garden, which is a must-visit, and next to a Carrefour for convenience.

Tips for Booking a Hotel in Nantes

Before you confirm your reservation, keep these practical considerations in mind. Nantes is a compact but busy city, and the right planning can save you both money and time.

Book well ahead for major events. The Voyage à Nantes summer arts trail, the Folle Journée classical music festival in January, and major trade fairs at the Parc des Expositions fill hotels quickly. Rates can double or triple during these periods, so secure your room at least a month in advance.

Choose your neighborhood based on your main activity. If you want nightlife and historic charm, stay in Bouffay or the Graslin district. For quiet mornings and green space, look around Île de Nantes or the Jardin des Plantes area. Business travelers should prioritize the Cité des Congrès and the train station district.

Take advantage of the excellent tram system. You do not need to stay directly in the old town to feel connected. The tram and busway network is efficient and safe, so a hotel near a tram stop in the Saint-Félix or Talensac neighborhoods can offer better value without sacrificing convenience.

Check for parking before you arrive. Driving in central Nantes is challenging, with many streets pedestrianized or restricted. If you are on a road trip, confirm whether your hotel has on-site parking and reserve it in advance. Otherwise, use the park-and-ride facilities at the city edge.

Look for breakfast alternatives. Hotel breakfasts in Nantes are often excellent but can cost between €15 and €25 per person. If you are on a budget, step outside instead. The city is full of excellent boulangeries and cafés where a coffee and a fresh croissant will cost a fraction of the hotel price.

Nantes rewards travelers who take the time to explore beyond the obvious. Whether you choose a grand historic hotel overlooking the Château des Ducs de Bretagne or a minimalist eco-friendly room near the Loire, your accommodation becomes part of the city’s story.

Take the time to match your hotel to your travel style, and you will leave Nantes with more than just a list of sights. You will leave with a sense of having truly stayed in the city, not merely slept there.
