12 Aesthetic Cafés near Jardin des Tuileries

Wandering through the 1st arrondissement, the area surrounding the Jardin des Tuileries is a masterclass in Parisian elegance. From the gilded gates of the Louvre to the chic terraces of Rue Saint-Honoré, this district pulses with history and high fashion.

After a morning of navigating world-class art collections or simply watching the clouds drift over the sculptures by Maillol, your feet will inevitably demand a rest. Fortunately, the streets radiating from the gardens are dotted with some of the most beautiful coffee spots in the capital.

Parisian café culture has evolved significantly in recent years, blending traditional terrace service with specialty coffee and design-forward interiors. You no longer have to choose between a beautiful room and a perfectly extracted espresso; the aesthetic and the culinary quality now go hand in hand.

When searching for the perfect spot, the definition of “aesthetic” can vary. It might mean a historic Belle Époque dining room with gilded mirrors, or a minimalist, sun-drenched corner with Scandinavian furniture and ceramic cups.

The key to a great break here is finding a place that offers a moment of visual calm away from the bustling tourist thoroughfares. Whether you need a quiet corner to journal, a stunning backdrop for a photo, or simply a plush velvet chair to sink into, the area delivers.

We have curated a selection of spaces that prioritize atmosphere just as much as the quality of their coffee and patisserie. These are the places where the lighting is soft, the plating is meticulous, and the ambiance invites you to linger a little longer.

Here is our handpicked selection of the most visually stunning and satisfying cafés located within a short stroll of the historic gardens.

Savory crêpes here are so good that we ended up ordering a second one after finishing the first. Highly recommend the kebab + cheese + egg combination — super flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the banana chocolate crêpe for dessert and it was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit!

You will be missing out if you don’t eat here. The 6 gentlemen work like clockwork, knowing what the other is thinking. Efficient, friendly, small establishment that’s big on taste, value, and team work. The New York sandwich is great sandwich that starts with a nice crunch of the French baguette. The crepes are exceptionally large and loaded, and packed with flavour and freshness. This is a bucket list restaurant for lunch that’s outstanding value. My kids loved the food. You guys are brilliant, thank you.

Happy Café was such a fun stop for us—definitely one we’ll remember! We ordered two Nutella crepes, a Kinder Bueno crepe, a Nutella crepe with pistachio ice cream, and a marshmallow-topped donut, and everything was delicious. The crepes were warm, soft, and generously filled (we clearly couldn’t get enough of the Nutella 😄). The Kinder Bueno crepe was super indulgent and perfect for chocolate lovers, and the Nutella crepe with pistachio ice cream was a great combo—rich, creamy, and a little different. The donut topped with marshmallows was also a fun, sweet treat. But by far, the highlight was the owner. He was absolutely hilarious and created such a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, which really made the whole experience stand out. Great desserts, amazing vibes, and an owner who truly makes the place special—we’d definitely come back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Milkshakes and coffee in opposite big wheel. Paris – Bon Appétit! If you’re looking for one of the best milkshakes in Paris, this place is a must-visit! The milkshakes are incredibly rich, creamy, and perfectly blended with high-quality ingredients. Every sip is packed with flavor, and the presentation is just as impressive as the taste. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re craving a classic chocolate shake or something more indulgent, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth. Bon appétit!

Happy Café definitely lives up to its name. The people here are genuinely kind, friendly, and seem to enjoy what they do. The menu has plenty of great options, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. You can really see why it’s called Happy Café. It’s not just the food, it’s the people. We’d happily come back the next time we’re in Paris. One small thing that really stood out: one of our orders was taking a little longer than expected, and since it was such a hot day, the staff brought us complimentary lemon drinks while we waited to make sure we stayed hydrated. It’s little gestures like that which turn a good meal into a memorable experience.

We were absolutely delighted with our evening at Le Marly. We had booked a table in the row closer to the Louvre courtyard. However, when we were seated, we were given a table next to a service station for the waiters, which partially blocked our view of the pyramid. I politely asked whether it would be possible to move us if a table with a full view of the pyramid became available. The hostess was incredibly kind and, with a smile, did everything she could to make it happen. Within just five minutes, another table became free, and as soon as it was cleared, she moved us there. That thoughtful gesture truly made our evening, especially because we were celebrating an important occasion. The magical lights of the Louvre added an extra touch of magic to the whole atmosphere. I would also like to highlight the excellent service. The waiters speak English fluently, are attentive, and are happy to help with choosing dishes. By the way, the cheesecake is absolutely incredible, and we also really enjoyed the salmon gravlax starter. At one point, someone at a nearby table started smoking a cigar. I asked a waiter who was not even serving our table if something could be done, and he immediately handled the situation by asking the guest to stop, as cigars are not allowed. His quick response allowed us to fully enjoy the dishes we had ordered without the smoke disturbing us. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Café Le Marly and left extremely satisfied. ✨💌😻.

The atmosphere, food and services is great! The tables on the outside are a little small. We did not reserve a table tho that might be why. All in all we had a great experience to eat next to the Louvre and we could also see the Eiffel Tower from our table. ✨✨🍽️ We had one main course per person, water, homemade Ice tea and a glass of wine. Very delicious

Le Café Marly offers a wonderful dining experience in one of the best locations in Paris. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The view overlooking the Louvre is absolutely stunning and adds something special to the meal. The food is delicious, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. Considering the location and overall experience, the prices are very reasonable. A perfect place to enjoy great food with an unforgettable view. Highly recommended!

This might just be my favorite meal in the entire world. As someone who is well-traveled, I don't give that honor lightly. I've gone out of my way to make a day trip into Paris from other European countries just to eat this meal: A caesar salad to start, the roasted scallops for the main course, and a crème brûlée for dessert. The food is simple, delicious, and technically flawless. 10/10
Foodie Adventurer★★★★☆
Overall, we had a fine experience. The service was good, and the staff were polite and attentive throughout our meal. One small downside was that heavy silverware was dropped onto the wooden floor several times during service. The loud clatter was quite startling and made the atmosphere feel a bit stressful at moments. The hot chocolate is every bit as good as the reviews say and was the perfect sugar boost after six hours of walking through the Louvre. A word of warning: it’s incredibly rich and decadent without being overly sweet. We shared one order, and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. As for the food, the orecchiette with Bolognese was the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I’d happily order it again. The Caesar salad, however, was disappointing. The meat on top looked unusual and was difficult to identify. It didn’t taste or resemble either chicken or anchovies, leaving us unsure of what we were eating and making the dish feel off. Unfortunately, it’s not something I would recommend.

Having a dinner here at Café Lapérouse is a beautiful mix of classic Parisian elegance and modern energy. The décor is stunning — warm, intimate, and perfect for a special evening. Overall a lovely experience! Food was solid and we had a very enjoyable dinner. Service was good, but a bit confusing about who did what. Outer tables afford a view of the main avenue, but we quite preferred our seating in the inner courtyard which was beautiful.

We booked a big table here for a Parisian-style afternoon tea, and it was such a lovely experience. The interior is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was great - relaxed and elegant at the same time. The restaurant is tucked away inside a courtyard, which makes it feel calm, cozy and nicely chilled. We had tea, mocktails, cocktails and pretty much the entire dessert menu; everything was delicious! It’s a perfect spot to catch up and indulge a little; would definitely come back.

Matin des Oliviers is a lovely little café just a 3-minute walk from the Louvre, making it the perfect stop for breakfast or a coffee break while exploring Paris. We came 2 times for coffee breakfast and brunch. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy, and the café has a relaxed feel that’s perfect for slowing down for a while. A special mention to the team—the girls working there were genuinely kind, welcoming, and smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a charming café near the Louvre with good coffee, tasty food, and friendly service, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

The restaurant is very cool. We sat upstairs and got there a bit early for the place got very busy. I had the Turkish eggs which is a standard for me and a good way to judge a place. Theirs was good but not amazing. It lacked a bit of flavour, but adding salt helped. My partner got the salmon and avocado, which I got to eat a big as the serving size was too big for her. It was very tasty. I would recommend this place to try.

Had a lovely brunch headed to the Louvre, the staff were so sweet and the atmosphere was great. I got the Turkish eggs (scrambled) and it was amazing and fresh. The iced matcha latte was perfect and not too sweet, 10/10!

This is a cool cafe if you value the coffee itself. It has a variety of lattes, i got the chinemon honey latte, it wad super good. I didnt expect it to be honest as i am quite traditional when it comes to coffee. The place is inside an art deco building, quite interesting. Staff is welcoming, there is usually a waiting line.

I absolutely love finding those coffee shops that are just out of the ordinary. This one is just like that! There’s something very special about it - in atmosphere, in service. I got an iced Rose Latte with almond milk and it was wonderful!

The coolest coffee shop in Paris, people are so cool and it’s amazing for people-watching. The vibe is like a chic waiting room with vibey music. Matcha is very strong and I loved it.

A very stylish coffee shop in Paris with good beans and dairy alternatives options. Although the place was crowded, the staff was incredibly kind, patient and helpful (special kudos to the lady at the counter letting me recharge my phone as my battery had died). I would love to go there again and would recommend the place to anyone coming to or living in Paris. Thank you 🙂

Beautiful shop and decent coffees. The baristas are also super friendly. Minor criticism is they only use disposal paper cups (environmental unfriendly and smells throughout the coffee experience).

It's very popular so obviously there is always a line. Lucky we went In odd hours so didn't wait long. It's beautiful. Good is ok but very pricey. Portion sizes are decent. Went for the Hot chocolate mainly but left kinda disappointed. Especially the way they poured it. Didn't even get the chance to record it. And this was the first place I visited after landing in Paris so it was not a good start.

I went for a breakfast on Monday morning at 0830. There wasn't a long queue and I only needed to wait for around 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. I ordered a croissant with scrambled eggs and bacon (€16), a Mocha (€8.5), and a citron tart (€10.50). I loved the croissant as I could taste the butter and it was crsipy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon was cooked just right that it didn't feel oily nor dry. I personally liked the Mocha more since it included coffee and their signature chocolate in one drink, you could still taste the richness of their chocolate, which balanced very well with the bitterness of the coffee. I enjoyed the citron tart as well, it was not overly acidic. From the cross-section, you could the beautiful tart included a few ingredients then just simply a custard. The staff members were friendly to tourists who didn't know French. While the price range was a bit high, I think it reflects well with the quality of the food given. I would love to come again the next time I visit Paris.

Exceptional food, iced tea and hot chocolate. The Quiche was very good. Planned on only hitting the gift shop but the restaurant was so beautiful we ate there as well. Very glad we did. Service was very good once they acknowledged us and started with us. Was a longer wait than it should have been to get a server.
ABHIJITH P S★★★★☆
The hot chocolate and desserts were amazing! I missed the croissants this time, so I’ll definitely try them next visit. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a seat, but the ambience and service made it worth it. Really good experience overall.

When you want to find a place for tea break, this might be one of the options in Paris. But I would recommend to make reservations in advance. We are lucky to just waiting for 15 min then we manage to get a seat. We ordered the recommended Mont Blanc (dessert made by chestnut puree, whipping cream and meringue). It taste good. I went with my mom and she asked for a table for two people, they immediately looked her up and down and then proceeded to seat us. The menu is subpar at best and the prices are ridiculously expensive for such simple dishes. The 2.8 star rating fits this restaurant. The staff felt a bit racist, prices were high, and food was mid.
Kuzan★☆☆☆☆
The experience started off standard, we were taken to our seats as usual and were handed the food/drinks menu. We ordered the onion soup and pumpkin soup for starters. The flavours were decent but had a very salty aftertaste. Then the main dishes arrived. I ordered steak, egg, and bacon, and my friend ordered scallop risotto. This is where everything went downhill. Firstly, the steak was minced beef patty and was not an entire cut. No where on the menu did it say it was minced. The patty itself was extremely dry and bland, describing the texture and flavour as dog food doesn’t even come close to how bad it was. It was so dry to the point where I had to ask the waitress to see if the kitchen can prepare a sauce that goes with it. After a couple of back and forth questions, she then checked with the kitchen and came back saying there’s a black peppercorn sauce which isn’t complementary - €4. With no other choice, I took the bait. The sauce arrived lukewarm, with no flavours of black peppercorn, and left a cheesy and bland aftertaste. The two strands of bacon paired with this dish was soft and chewy, not something I expected as well. On the other hand, the scallop risotto resembled nothing like a risotto at all. The risotto rice itself was mushy, overcooked to perfection. The texture was like congee/porridge and was very sticky due to the insane amount of cheese used. It was like chewing glue - not exaggerating. Although the scallop seemed fresh, it was again very salty and had to wash it down with water. In the end, we had a couple bites each until we felt too unbearable to swallow. We asked the waitress for the check. Obviously she sees that we barely touched the food when retrieving the plates, and did not ask any questions about the how we enjoyed the food, because she simply knows that it’s disgusting. The bill came down to a total of around €140 for the two of us. Of which includes, two glasses of wine, two soups, and those two “main dishes”. We paid the bill, stood up and left immediately. No waiters said goodbye despite two of them standing in front of the door. No gratitude or gesture was made to make up for the food and experience. It was such a terrible experience, and I’m sure others can say the same.

Popped in for breakfast one morning this week and had a really pleasant experience. Great spot for a coffee before taking a walk around the gardens! ☕️
Xenophil★☆☆☆☆
Please don’t go here. Double espresso is 8€, Cappuccino also. This is really a lot. However, it’s the worst espresso I had and the Cappuccino of my girlfriend was also sub par. The service was ok, Ambiente was nice. Hight prices are ok, if zig are in hot as pots and match at least a normal quality one is used from Starbucks or alike. But the coffee is really bad, sorry to say this. If there’s an excellent barista it may be fair to charge these prices. With the actual state of quality I couldn’t recommend it in any way.
ASL★☆☆☆☆
⭐☆☆☆☆ Without question, the worst service experience I had during my time in Paris. I stopped in intending to enjoy a glass of wine and was surprised to be told that, despite numerous empty tables throughout the restaurant, I could only be seated beside the till. I was informed that the other tables were reserved for customers ordering brunch, which felt unnecessarily unwelcoming given how many seats were available. Before ordering, I briefly used the restroom upstairs. When I returned and asked to see the wine menu, a staff member immediately informed me that I would need to pay for using the toilet, apparently assuming I had entered solely for that purpose. In reality, I was there as a prospective customer and had every intention of ordering. What was most disappointing was the attitude of the staff. Rather than being treated with basic courtesy, I was met with suspicion, dismissiveness, and a level of rudeness that felt completely disproportionate to the situation. At no point did anyone attempt to clarify my intentions or provide a welcoming customer experience. Paris is filled with wonderful cafés and restaurants where hospitality is part of the experience. Unfortunately, Café des Tuileries was the complete opposite. For the prices charged and the location it occupies, the level of service was remarkably poor. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I would not return and would not recommend it to others.

Great food, with quick friendly service. All the food and drink we ordered here were very good. The Crazy BeneAddict was delicious with perfectly poached eggs and sauce, with a fresh and flakey crossiant that paired really well with everything. The Miss Tatin French toast was sweet and savoury but maybe a bit too heavy for an early morning breakfast dish. The yogurt and macchiato were also done really well, and the ice tea was delicious. Just a note that their location is undergoing renovation until mid Aug 2026 so they have temporarily relocated to another spot just across street and slightly further north. This location is comfortably sized with nice decor.

I had breakfast here every morning during my stay in Paris, and it quickly became one of the highlights of my trip. The bread was always fresh, the muffins were served warm, and everything was absolutely delicious. It’s such a pretty place, with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that made each morning feel special. The perfect way to start the day in Paris.

Lovely breakfast spot in Paris with plenty of healthy, vegetarian and gluten-free options. We tried the avocado toast, greek yogurt with homemade granola, and the crazy beneaddict, everything was really tasty and fresh. The only downside is that the restaurant is very tiny. We were 5 people and had to sit packed next to each other, so we left right after finishing our breakfast.

I visit for breakfast and brunch, very good food I liked the scrambled egg with mushroom and spinach. pancake is fluffy and delicious. Excellent Coffee. It’s a small place usually full of people. However the waiting time is decent I tried it twice waiting time is less than 10 minutes especially for couples and small groups.

I had a wonderful time at this charming café! The drinks were absolutely delightful—the Hot Chocolate was rich and decadent, and the barista did a stunning job with the latte art. The Americano was hands down the best I've had in days; it was incredibly smooth, with a perfectly balanced flavor that was neither bitter on the palate nor in the aftertaste. • Crazy BeneAddict 🥐 ◦ Description: Thin slices of smoked salmon, 2 poached eggs, and Benedict sauce, garnished with dill. ◦ Review: This was delicious! The combination of flavors was spot on, and the portion was very satisfying for one person. • The Brouillade 🍳 ◦ Description: 3 farm-fresh scrambled eggs, pan-fried halloumi, sautéed spinach & roasted mushrooms, homemade pesto, served with a baguette. ◦ Review: This dish was a winner! The scrambled eggs were incredibly generous (I couldn't finish them all!), and the halloumi added a lovely salty touch. The complimentary baguette was perfect for soaking up the flavors. I would love a bit more bread next time to enjoy every last bite! I will definitely be coming back for more!

A fantastic café on Rue de Rivoli and the perfect place to take a break while exploring Paris. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, the coffee is excellent, and the food is fresh and delicious. Honestly the best spot! Amazing location right in front of the Louvre, but still such a relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Everything was great, but what really made it special was Eva, the manager. She is genuinely the loveliest person ever and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. So warm, friendly and incredibly hospitable. Would 100% recommend and definitely come back! 🤍

One of the most beautiful cafes I’ve been to in Paris. The place itself is cozy but since it’s located in the heart of the city, it’s a bit noisy but def not a problem to have a casual convo. The banana matcha with cream is good but a bit watery for those who like sweet matcha and slightly expensive for the portion. But def will come back and try out the cake!

I stopped by this café and tried their iced matcha drink, which was really good and had a nice, balanced flavor. The quality of the drink was great, and I enjoyed the overall experience. My only complaint is that the portion size felt a bit small for the price. Other than that, everything was enjoyable, and I’d consider coming back. The café had a welcoming atmosphere that made it a nice place to relax for a bit. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty matcha drink, as long as they don't mind paying a little extra.

Gem of a place to sit and have a delicious bite to eat or a refreshing drink (in our case both) for a reasonable price! Very friendly welcome and excellent prompt, service throughout from a really friendly and helpful lady (who we learnt at the end that she hadn't been doing the job for so long. We could not see that as she provided from start to finish excellent service for us!). Sadly dont know her name. Food delicious and a great selection. Definitely recommend! 😋❤️

was our first visit to Arty Caffè. We were searching for a place in Paris that offered a quick and reasonably priced breakfast before we began our day of sightseeing. While I know Europeans appreciate leisurely meals, we had a time commitment that we needed to keep. Using Google Maps, the first two establishments near our Airbnb had decent reviews. We decided on Arty Caffè, and I, for one, was quite pleased with our choice. My wife enjoyed a sweet banana Nutella crepe, while I had the savory ham, cheese, and egg crepe, and I also took a banana caramel sweet crepe to go. My son ordered the New York Baguette and a cheese omelette. The food was excellent. The bill was reasonable, and the service was amazing; most importantly, the staff was very friendly. Would I go back? Most definitely. This opinion was shared by my entire family.

The menu is very diverse, you can have a steak with salad and fries for 19€ or even a crepe for 8€. We thought the writing in the plates and your country flags was a very nice touch for costumer experience. The restroom was clean and they had a lot of indoor and outdoor seating.

So happy this spot closer to the main attractions in Paris has the best gluten free croissants in the city (made by manufacture sans gluten). So flaky and delicious. Perfect for a nice breakfast and coffee before the day.

The pizza was great, so was the onion soup. The steak and salmon were good with sauce on the side. The service was good, and we liked the options. It had good vibes. This place brings peace and happiness. We like it here, come visit. The family can chill including kids. (Feedback from the kids included 😊)

A wow experience to have dinner here. My niece choosed the restaurant because of the inviting decoration. After looking to the menu we both found food we like. My salmon salad with avocado was extraordinary, the service warm and wonderful. For us it was a perfect ending of a beautiful day in Paris.

Wonderful experience at Café Saint Honoré near the Louvre! 🇫🇷✨ I had an excellent fresh salad 🥗 with warm fried burrata, avocado 🥑, strawberries 🍓, and pine nuts. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and beautifully prepared. The dessert and tea were also wonderful and made the visit especially relaxing. 🍰🍵 The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Even though the location is extremely touristic, right in the epicenter of Paris near the Louvre, the cafe still keeps a warm local atmosphere and authentic cuisine. A very pleasant place to rest, enjoy good food, and experience a kinder side of central Paris. Highly recommended! 😊

Momo , Meryem , and Chef Luciano made our first day in Paris and our first meal here the most delicious and over the top meal and and amazing experience we have ever had! We dined with our 91 year old Yiayia and our 3 kids so every meal is salt free and complicated with many opinions. The Chef came out himself and suggested a salt free meal he created off the menu for our Yiayia. She said she thought she died and went to heaven it was so good! The nicest people we have ever met!! Could not have been more kind and so generous. We were treated with Croquettes and Macaroons on the house and we smiled so much that our cheeks hurt! We can’t wait to come back tomorrow!! 100 out of 10 would recommend!! Thank you all so much!!!❤️

🌸 Café Saint-Honoré – A magical Paris find just off the Louvre ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stumbled across this place just off the Louvre Museum after a long morning exploring and a bus tour, with tired legs and two hungry kids… and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. ✨ First Impressions From the outside, it almost looks like a bit of a tourist trap with all the flowers, pastel colours, and teddy bears… but don’t let that fool you. Step inside and it transforms into a beautiful, relaxing, and genuinely welcoming space. 🌺 Atmosphere & Decor Stunning floral ceiling and soft lighting Subtle background music that helps you unwind A lovely buzz from other families and diners Felt like a proper Parisian moment, not rushed at all There was even a birthday celebration happening next to us, complete with singing, a sparkler, and cake – which looked like it was provided by the restaurant. A really nice touch. 🍽️ Food & Drinks Everything we ordered was spot on: 🧀 Goat’s cheese salad – fresh and full of flavour 🍗 Chicken dish – really well cooked and satisfying 🥩 Steak & chips – devoured and thoroughly enjoyed 🍺 IPA beer – incredibly refreshing after a warm day walking around Paris They even let me sample a few beers before choosing, which was a great touch. They also brew their own “Teddy Beer” – not quite to my taste, but a fun option to try. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Friendly This is where it really stood out: Kids’ meals were around €12 and included main, drink, and dessert Dessert options included ice cream or a Nutella crepe (huge hit!) Staff were warm, patient, and great with children 🎁 Little Extras That Made It Special As we were leaving, they surprised us with four free macarons – a small gesture, but genuinely appreciated (and easily worth close to €10 in Paris!). 🚻 Facilities Even the toilets were beautifully decorated, especially the ladies’. The men’s setup was a bit unclear (no obvious urinal), but not a deal-breaker in the slightest. ⭐ Final Verdict A place that looks Instagrammable but delivers far more than that – great food, fair prices, genuinely friendly service, and a relaxed, memorable atmosphere. If you’re near the Louvre and need a break, this is a fantastic spot for families or couples alike. Highly recommended – an easy 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Café Kitsuné had been on my Paris list for a while, so I finally decided to try it. Its location is excellent, right near the Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre. I visited on a Friday around 5:30 PM; it wasn’t extremely crowded, but there was a constant flow of people and usually a small queue. I ordered a vanilla iced matcha latte with oat milk, which was around €7. It was genuinely delicious, although definitely not cheap. Considering the location and how touristy it is, I wasn’t too surprised by the price. That said, I found the place slightly overhyped. The matcha was very good, but neither the drink nor the atmosphere felt particularly exceptional for the price. I’d happily come back if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way just for it.

A bit overcrowded, more suitable for take-away orders. The coffee is quality, the matcha croissant is tasteless. I was surprised that place doesn't have toilets. Everything else is acceptable, but nothing special

I ordered a chai latte, which was pleasant mainly because it was warm on a very cold day, though the flavor itself was fairly underwhelming. I’ve had a similar experience with their matcha as well. While I appreciate the convenience of this café and the fact that there are many locations throughout Paris, the drinks haven’t quite met my expectations. That said, the atmosphere is nice and comfortable, which makes it an enjoyable place to sit but the seating is limited. The location is amazing to get to-go since it’s across the street from the Tulleries!

Before heading to the Tuileries Garden, we stopped by for a quick dessert and a drink. We ordered coffee and iced yuja tea, and we were surprised to see some familiar Korean. The cafe employee showed us a bottle of yuja tea and said that Korean yuja tea is really delicious. 😂 (The cafe was small but clean.)

Delicious Matcha Latte. The matcha is really good. Sometimes the place is crowded with wannabe influencer or fashion wannabes, but well, it only takes a few minutes and your out again. Service is okayish. Sometimes they are now able to change a 20€ bill, but card payment always works. Haven’t tried anything else than matcha Latte, so my review is only based on that experience.

How to Choose Your Perfect Spot

Navigating the café scene near such a major landmark requires a bit of strategy. While spontaneity is part of the Parisian charm, knowing what to look for will ensure you get the experience you are craving, whether that is a quiet workspace, a social brunch, or a quick caffeine fix.

Check the Time of Day
The ambiance of a café changes drastically between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. If you want to enjoy a quiet, aesthetic experience with fewer crowds, aim for opening time or the late afternoon lull after the lunch rush. Peak brunch hours on weekends can be noisy and crowded, which detracts from the visual serenity you might be seeking.

Look Beyond the Facade
While a beautiful storefront is tempting, check what is visible inside. Look for signs of comfortable seating, soft lighting, and space between tables. A truly aesthetic café is one where you can relax without being jostled; tight seating arrangements often ruin the visual calm of a beautifully designed room.

Prioritize Natural Light
Parisian light is magical, especially in the golden hour. If photography or mood is important to you, look for cafés with large south-facing windows or outdoor terraces. The way the light hits the marble tabletops or filters through the foliage can turn a simple coffee into a memorable visual moment.

Match the Menu to Your Needs
Some aesthetic spots focus purely on coffee and pastries, while others offer full lunch menus. If you plan to stay for a while to read or work, ensure the venue does not have a "no laptop" policy or a minimum order requirement. A beautiful space is only useful if you are welcome to sit in it.

Consider the Acoustics
High ceilings and marble floors look stunning in photographs but can create a loud echo when the room is full. If you have sensitive ears or want to have a quiet conversation, look for spaces with upholstered furniture, rugs, or bookshelves, as these elements absorb sound and create a more intimate, relaxing atmosphere.

The area around the Tuileries is more than just a place to grab a quick espresso; it is a place to participate in the art of Parisian living. Taking the time to sit, observe, and enjoy a beautifully presented pastry is as essential to the travel experience as visiting the monuments themselves.

Whether you choose a historic institution or a modern minimalist hideaway, these cafés offer a welcome pause. Let the elegance of your surroundings sink in, recharge your energy, and step back out onto the cobblestones ready to explore the rest of the Right Bank.
