Wandering through the historic center of Seville works up a serious appetite. Between the shaded courtyards, the sound of flamenco drifting from open windows, and the architectural wonder of the Metropol Parasol, you are surrounded by sensory inspiration. It is only natural that your stomach eventually demands the same level of excellence as the views.
The area surrounding Las Setas de Sevilla (The Mushrooms of Seville) is a culinary hotspot that blends traditional Andalusian flavors with modern brunch culture. While many tourists flock to the riverfront, locals know that the streets radiating from La Encarnación square hold some of the city’s most satisfying morning meals. Whether you crave a slow coffee, a hearty English breakfast, or traditional tostada con tomate, this neighborhood delivers.
Finding the right spot can be overwhelming due to the sheer density of cafes and bars in the area. You do not want to waste a morning of your vacation on a subpar tourist trap with a great view but mediocre food. Instead, you want the places where the coffee is strong, the ingredients are fresh, and the atmosphere invites you to linger for a second cup.
This guide focuses on the best breakfast and brunch options within a short walking distance of the Setas. We have prioritized venues that offer high-quality food, excellent service, and authentic local character. From hidden patios to bustling terraces, there is a table waiting for you.
Seville mornings are often warm, making outdoor seating a priority for many visitors. However, the interiors here are equally charming, often featuring exposed brick, vintage tiles, and the hum of espresso machines. The following selections account for both comfort and culinary reputation.
To help you navigate the area like a local, we have compiled a list of the top ten establishments that consistently impress both residents and discerning travelers. Each option offers something unique, ensuring that whether you are nursing a hangover or fueling up for a day of sightseeing, you are covered.
Below is the definitive list of the best spots to eat breakfast and brunch near Setas de Sevilla.

The best brunch in Seville.
Seriously.
It’s a cute little find but Mariquita Brunch is an absolute find.
They do a varied menu of basic toasts with various toppings, lots of salads, bagels, freshly baked empanadas, sandwiches pancakes and waffles alongside healthier poke bowls.
We had an eggs Benedict with shredded chicken which was delicious. We shared the American salad - oh my - strawberries and such a light dressing. We tried a ham and cheese empanada: didn’t really need it, but it was lovely. We also shared avocado on brioche with bacon.
Every single thing we had was excellent.
I tried a green juice which was great. I also had the Kombuchito lemon and ginger which was zingy and fresh.
I absolutely recommend this place. The staff were friendly, it’s clean and modern in style with nice loos as well.
Definitely a MUST find for brunch in Seville.

This is a GREAT place! Employees are friendly and the food is simply amazing! Everything we ordered was so good!! A plus is that food was delivered quickly. We were a bit tight on time, and that helped. Coffee was divine, the chocolate croissant is to die for and the toasts and sandwiches were incredible.

We came here for breakfast because of this café’s high rating. But, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. My order was supposed to be spicy, but it turned out to be completely lacking in any heat and was absolutely cold. The matcha latte was practically just milk. And the waiter who served us didn’t seem friendly
Tatiana Mladenkova★★★★★
Such an amazing place found purely by accident! The most lovely service, great choice of drinks and food. We felt very welcomed and my son got nachos that weren’t on the menu as a kind gesture. I really appreciate the lady that took care of us🥰
Maija★★★★★
Amazing brunch experience. Such a lovely little cafe, nicely decorated with comfortable seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu has a wide range of options, including tailoring your own toast with multiple choices of bread type and fillings.
All the food was delicious. Very good quality ingredients, especially the bread, the salmon and the eggs.
Highly recommended!

Went with a group and ordered variety of items. It's amazing how they are able to perfect the different food options
Highly recommend pancakes and french toast if you want sweet
Pistachio latte was delicious
Mala and impossible burger were amazing as well
You can't go wrong with any options
Only caveat the wait is long. Took us 45 min to get a table. Come early !

Absolutely the best food I’ve ever had! Every dish was incredibly delicious, and the presentation was simply outstanding. You can tell that every detail is carefully thought out. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was excellent, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!
Piccolo★★★★★
My favourite breakfast / brunch place in Seville! The food is amazing and a good price. It tastes so fresh and there are English menu’s if needed. The staff also speak English which is very helpful and there are lots of good food options available. Sometimes it can take a while to pay if the place is busy but I definitely recommend it (especially the mascarpone pancakes and orange juice). It is also worth noting that it can get busy quite early on in the day so if you’re coming for breakfast, I recommend coming as soon as it opens to avoid queues.

For two days in a row went for brunch there. Saturday was bit busier so had to wait in line for about 10 min but it was definitely worth the wait. Portions great, menu big and actually interesting and representation amazing. Highly recommend it and cannot wait to come back.

Excellent place for breakfast. Our favourite throughout our stay in Seville. The poached eggs are perfectly cooked. Offers good value in today's climate.

Great spot to stop for a rest and something a bit different to eat if you fancy a tiny break from tapas!
Very friendly service and lovely, freshly made food and great coffee! Close to the 'mushrooms' and easy to find, but it still manages to be a little oasis of calm.

The food is fresh, healthy, and packed with flavor. Their coffee is fantastic, and the attention to detail is top-notch. What truly makes this place special, though, is the staff. They are exceptionally kind, professional, and welcoming. If you are looking for a great start to your morning in Seville, do not miss this lovely spot.

We found this vibrant cafe, tucked into a street near our hotel. A perfect place to stop for fresh, healthy food with such a variety! We visited twice and would recommend. Really sets you up for a great start to a busy day. The food and coffee were excellent and the service quick, considering options and variety being prepared. A busy corner but we only waited 5 mins for a table to be cleared. Staff were so friendly and thanks to the Irishman who encouraged me to speak in Spanish! We’ll visit again on a future trip. Disfrutes… give it a try!
Savannah Cooper★★★★★
What a cozy cutie vibe, not the mention the food was very yummy too! We shared an açaí bowl, the Mediterranean tostada, and mango bagel sandwich. All were super delicious and had a great presentation. The golden latte felt like it was made of tumeric and milk, which was not for us, but they had many other drinks. The staff were also very kind. A good place for locals and tourists as they had an English menu and were understanding with my rough Spanish.
Ömer G.★★★★★
Foods were absolutely delicious. The person who served us was very kind and friendly. If you’re looking to enjoy a tasty and relaxing brunch in a cozy, boutique spot on a quiet street, I would definitely recommend this place.
Claudia Decicco★★★★★
We had the pleasure to enjoy a breakfast at Chia. The quality of ingredients is great, both for sweet and salty options. The place is tiny but comfortable and the two guys managing are making their best to give the best experience to the people on the inside. No queue in front of the place, they will accomodate you only if there is space to give everyone the best experience

Uğurcan MALGAZ★★★★★
We had a wonderful breakfast experience at La Mala Brunch! We customized their Eggs Benedict toast by asking them to remove the bacon, and it was absolutely amazing with its sauce and bread. The pistachio cream croissant was also really good. Based on the reviews, we ordered the mascarpone pancake, and it was delicious too. In short, no matter what you order here, it is truly flavorful. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and solution-oriented. A fantastic breakfast spot in Seville that I highly recommend without hesitation!
Yayi Girl★★★★★
Delicious! Our waiter was very kind and attentive from the moment we sat down. Everything is made to order, which you can really taste in the quality. The coffee was also a standout — made just the way you like it. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent brunch at La Mala Brunch!
We had several breakfasts there during our stay and everything was absolutely perfect. The place is modern and pleasant, although it can get a bit noisy during busy hours, which also shows how popular the restaurant is.
The menu is very varied, with both indulgent and healthy options: pancakes, bagels, bowls, brunch burgers, fresh smoothies… it’s hard to choose because everything looks delicious.
The products are fresh, beautifully presented, and the portions are generous.
A real favorite in Seville, both for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. This place truly deserves its excellent Google rating. We would definitely recommend it and gladly come back!

During my stay in Seville, this hidden gem was right in front of the apartment we rented. I initially stopped by for a coffee, but the menu looked so appetizing that I decided to order the club sandwich as well, and it was amazing! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A very cool spot with excellent food and coffee. Highly recommended!
Ronnie Adel★★★★★
One of the best and delicious brunch ever had.
The place is a little bit busy and there is a waiting list, but definitely worth the wait.
Coffee came hot and strong, food was super tasty, fresh and delicious too.
Everything was top notch quality indeed.
This is a highly recognizable place in Seville.

A popular breakfast place with indoor and outdoor seating. The servers are very friendly and they try to accommodate any requests/changes to orders. The service was fast and the food did not disappoint. The eggs benedict was really good, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon and hollandaise sauce tasted good together. The pancakes were warm and fluffy and delicious! The omelette was seasoned well and the Moroccan tea transported me back to Morocco.
Isi★★★★★
I had the Superfood Omelette, and I found it to be extremely fresh and filling. I also ordered the red detox, which was refreshing and tasty. Enrique’s customer service is top notch; he is very warm and friendly. The outdoor seating is great. I’d definitely recommend this place and I would come back here again!
Zahira Moukhlis★☆☆☆☆
The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of the experience. The food had almost no flavour and was very bland. The coffee also had a strange, unpleasant taste. To make matters worse, the egg dishes served during brunch had a very strong smell, which made them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant looks nice, but the quality and taste of the food were very disappointing.

We had an absolutely amazing breakfast at Billy Brunch! The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the incredible service. The gentleman who served us was outstanding, especially with our children. He was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
We would definitely recommend Billy Brunch to anyone looking for a great breakfast and excellent service. We will 100% be going back again! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. 🙌🍳🥓

Absolutely outstanding brunch experience in Seville!
We visited Billy Brunch on a beautiful morning in Seville and it instantly became one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, stylish decor, and mouthwatering menu had us excited.
The food was exceptional — generous portions, fresh ingredients, and perfectly executed dishes. The pancakes were fluffy and decadent, the Eggs Benedict had that perfect runny yolk, and the avocado toast was elevated with delicious toppings. Everything was packed with flavor, and they had great options for different dietary preferences too. The coffee was strong and smooth — exactly what we needed to start the day right.
But what truly made our visit special was our incredible server, Rocio. She was amazing from start to finish! So friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Rocio made us feel genuinely welcome, checked in at the perfect moments, and had the warmest smile the whole time. Her service went above and beyond — she made our meal feel personal and extra enjoyable. Thank you, Rocio!
Billy Brunch is a must-visit if you’re in Seville. Whether you’re craving all-day breakfast, healthy options, or something indulgent, this place delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Andalusia.
Highly recommend — 10/10!

Excellent breakfast here if you like healthy food. I got the tortilla and the pancakes with fruits. A very welcome surprise how light the food was. The pancakes were not sugary at all, the eggs Florentin also with avocado and cream cheese, my daughter got was very fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a light breakfast outside enjoying the view of the square and a bit of the Setas. Simple breakfast of cafe con leche with tomato and olive oil and Iberico ham toasts.

They have lots of breakfast options for everyone in your group. They have really healthy light options like bowls and they also have eggs if you want something more filling. All the fruits were fresh. Our drinks were excellent as well. They have a very cute indoor seating. When we came it was cold so maybe they have outdoor seating also when weather is better. Mîta Bengo★☆☆☆☆
We ordered Focaccia hier. The Bread was a bit old. The ingredients were some cold some half warm and dry topping. I asked if they could make me now a sandwich without ham, they couldn’t, probably because all the sandwiches are prepared from the day before and they never make any thing fresh in the kitsches. I had to swallow the sandwich because it tasted weird. The coffee was okey. It was definitely not worth the money.
My two favourite brunch cafes were Mariquita Brunch and Billy Brunch. I recommend you to try one of these instead.
Xuan★☆☆☆☆
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing brunch experience.
The pulled pork bagel sounded promising, but although the bagel was served warm, it was very hard. The fillings were cold, and the bottom half of the bagel was soggy.
I also ordered an iced Americano, but instead of a properly prepared drink, I was served an espresso, a jug of hot water, and just two ice cubes separately. After mixing it myself, the coffee ended up lukewarm rather than iced.
The service was also confusing. I asked if I could order from the lunch menu, and the staff member checked with the kitchen before telling me lunch wasn't available until 1 pm. As it was only about 15 minutes away, I said I was happy to come back later. Only then was I told that I couldn't order anyway because there was no meat available for the burgers. I wish this had been explained from the beginning, as it left me feeling like I was being steered towards ordering from the brunch items instead.
Overall, the food quality, drinks, and service didn't meet my expectations. I would definitely not recommend this place.
Walid★★★★☆
Arenza de crema was as delicious as it looks! Definitely recommend the pistachio and chocolate version.
The scrambled eggs are below average and super boring.
Atmosphere is great, but it smelled a lot of times like a random room spray. Didn’t like the smell of it at all, super confusing.
Staff is very friendly and attentive.
Payal Agarwalla★★★☆☆
My order wasn’t taken properly, which led to some confusion and missing items. The quantity served was also quite less compared to expectations. The taste of the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing special either.
Hussam Galal★★★★★
A Bakery has a lovely ambiance with plenty of seating perfect for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break. The coffee is excellent, and the freshly made pastries are delicious. The prices are reasonable. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in Seville!

Anna Archetti★★★★★
Perfect spot for brunch, with options for every taste, both savory and sweet. They also offer many vegetarian options for savory dishes. It’s located in a central area of the city and is small but well-designed. There are seats both indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for a meal that’s a little different from the usual. The service was reasonably fast, and all the staff were kind and polite. I highly recommend it.
Hannah Balogun★★★★★
I visited Moya today for breakfast, and it was amazing!! Not only was the cafe really aesthetically pleasing and beuatiful, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, the vibes were nice, the staff was amazing, especially Jara. She was really friendly, accomodating, and sweet.
Overall, amazing vibes, I would definitely come back! I got the waffle, eggs, avocado, and bacon, and just a great start to my day overall. Thank you, Jara and Moya once again for your great hospitality.
Sanne★★★★★
We absolutely loved Moya — so much that we came here every single day during our week in Sevilla. My brother had recommended it from a previous trip, and he was absolutely right.
I ordered the Açaí Bowl every morning, he always took the Tropical Smoothie Bowl, and another in our group went for the hummus avocado toast. All of it was consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The coffee was also really good — we tried both regular‑milk and oat‑milk cappuccinos (the small ones) and both were excellent.
The juices were a bit on the sour side for my taste, but everything else was perfect.
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. By the end of the week, they didn’t even need to ask for my order anymore — they remembered it.
The vibe isn’t traditional Spanish; it’s more of a Bali‑style, pink, “Instagrammable” brunch spot. Not usually my type of atmosphere, but the food is absolutely amazing, so it didn’t matter at all.
Truly highly, highly, highly recommend. One of our favourite breakfast places in Sevilla.
Pieter Cools★★★★★
What a pleasant surprise to discover near our hotel. A vibrant place with pink accents that immediately lightens up your day. We took the waffle with omelette and avocado and the açaí bowl. Both were freshly made and delicious. But the real star was the coffee, a Burundi origin coffee with nice floral notes and a pleasant non bitter finish. Will come back here tomorrow!
Sonia Petrini★★★★☆
Lovely spot in a small street 🙂 exactly what I was looking for. The chai latte had the perfect sweetness and temperature, and the corn fritters were good, although the avocado could've been better. I had no problem finding a place to eat, and it was not too crowded despite being Sunday. Overall very good experience! Service was very welcoming.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Breakfast Near Setas
Navigating the breakfast scene near the Setas requires a bit of strategy, especially on weekends when the terraces fill up quickly. While the area is walkable, the sheer variety can lead to decision fatigue. To ensure you get the most out of your morning meal, consider how you like to structure your day. Are you looking for a quick bite before the museums open, or a leisurely two-hour brunch with mimosas? Your pace will dictate the best choice for you. Here are some expert tips to enhance your experience and help you eat like a local.
- Understand the Local Timing: Spanish breakfast hours differ from Northern Europe or the US. Most traditional cafes open around 8:00 AM, but locals often don’t eat brunch until 11:00 AM or noon. If you want a quiet table, go early; if you want the bustling local atmosphere, arrive later.
- Look for the "Tostada" Standard: To judge a good local spot, look at their tomato. A true Sevillian breakfast is built on tostada con aceite y tomate (toasted bread with olive oil and crushed tomato). If the menu highlights high-quality olive oil and fresh tomato pulp, the kitchen cares about the details.
- Check the Coffee Menu: Seville has a strong coffee culture. Look for places that serve café con leche with latte art or use specialty beans. If a place only offers "coffee" without specifying the roast or milk type, it might be geared more toward convenience than quality.
- Beware the "Menu Turistico": Near major landmarks like the Setas, you will see signs for cheap breakfast deals. While some are fine, many offer low-quality juice and frozen pastries. If the menu has photos of the food, it is usually a sign to walk further down a side street for better value.
- Opt for Fresh Juice: Seville is famous for its oranges. Many cafes offer zumo de naranja natural (freshly squeezed orange juice). It is a non-negotiable part of a good brunch here. Avoid places that serve bottled juice when fresh fruit is so abundant in the region.
- Cash is Still King (Sometimes): While most modern brunch spots accept cards, some smaller, traditional bars near the Setas operate on cash-only policies or have minimum card spends. Always carry a €20 note just in case you find a hole-in-the-wall with incredible churros.
- Explore the Side Streets: The main Plaza de la Encarnación is beautiful, but the rent is high, which can sometimes inflate prices or rush service. Walking just two blocks north or east will often land you in a quieter plaza with better prices and a more relaxed, authentic vibe.
Seville is a city that rewards patience and observation. While the Setas provides a stunning backdrop, the true flavor of the city is often found in the details—the texture of the bread, the temperature of the coffee, and the smile of the waiter. By choosing your breakfast spot wisely, you set the tone for the rest of your day.
As the morning fades into afternoon, you will find that the lines between breakfast and lunch blur beautifully here. Many of the spots on this list transition seamlessly into tapas bars, meaning you might sit down for a pancake and stay for a glass of vermouth. That is the beauty of Seville; there is never a rush to leave the table. Enjoy the energy of the neighborhood, watch the world go by, and savor every bite before heading off to your next Andalusian adventure.
