Valencia’s Jardí del Túria is one of Spain’s most remarkable urban green spaces, a nine-kilometre ribbon of parkland winding through the city where a river once flowed. It is a place for runners, cyclists, families, and anyone who simply wants to escape the noise of the streets. Yet a long walk or bike ride through its palm-lined paths inevitably calls for a moment to pause and recharge.
The neighbourhoods bordering the park are among the most vibrant in the city, each with its own distinct rhythm and character. From the historic elegance of the old town to the bohemian energy of Russafa and the residential calm of Campanar, the areas around the Turia gardens are rich in café culture. This means excellent coffee is rarely more than a few steps away.
For visitors and locals alike, finding a truly good cup of coffee can transform a simple break into a memorable part of the day. The city’s coffee scene has evolved rapidly in recent years, moving well beyond the traditional café con leche to embrace specialty roasters, precise brewing methods, and thoughtfully designed spaces. The best spots balance quality with the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere Valencia does so well.
Whether you are looking for a quick espresso before a morning run or a quiet corner to work with a flat white, the streets around the park offer something for every mood. Some cafés are hidden down narrow side streets, while others open directly onto the green expanse, offering views of fountains and orange trees as you sip.
This guide focuses on the coffee shops that consistently deliver on both flavour and experience, all within easy walking distance of Jardí del Túria. The selections are based on bean quality, barista skill, atmosphere, and the kind of practical details that matter when you are planning your route. You will find options ranging from minimalist specialty bars to cosy neighbourhood institutions.
Because the park stretches across such a large part of the city, the list includes locations on both the north and south sides, as well as spots near the old riverbed’s eastern and western ends. This way, you can find a reliable café whether you are strolling near the City of Arts and Sciences or exploring the greener, quieter stretches near Bioparc.
Here is where to find the best coffee near Valencia’s beloved Turia gardens.

Coffee lover approved 🤌, actually all Syra coffee shops I tried all around Valencia were really good. But want to mention this one in particular. The barista there has been particularly good. His name is Dave if I'm not mistaken, give this man a pay rise.
I've been there back in February, the 14th to be more precise (sorry it took so long to write this review), even if it was quite busy, Dave took his time with every coffee he brewed, and I must say, the coffee was great. On top of that, he gave me great recommendations for restaurants and other things around Valencia. He also took his time to help me choose some great coffee beans after asking what I generally prefer when it comes to coffee beans (it is not a small thing when you've got a busy morning, I really appreciate the effort). Will definitely come back every time I'll find myself in Valencia. Keep up the good work

Exquisite!!! I LOVE this place. Coffee is one of the rarest that i tried in specialty coffee shop that doesnt taste acidic but tastes like nuts - very well.
And what to say about the brownie - my god, it is pure heaven, not too sweety you taste the cacao and nuts.
David is very kind and chatty guy!
My fav spot in vlc.

High quality specialty coffee that also serves pastries. No seating, take out only. The flat white was good and this is more of a preference, but I wished there was more acidity to the coffee.

Coming to this café after a two-hour tennis match feels absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious, the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.
Every time I come to Valencia, this is definitely one of the places I want to visit. It has such a special feeling that makes you want to come back again and again.
I also own a magazine, and I would love to feature this lovely café in one of our future issues.
A truly beautiful place with great taste, wonderful people, and a very special atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A very friendly cafe. The blonde girl is a winner! She made me a coffee, and I asked for less water, but she changed it with a smile and understanding. I live nearby, and now, every time I pass by, I'll only come here because her smile and understanding towards customers and guests is what makes me want to come back! And she speaks Spanish and English, which is also a plus! The food is the same everywhere, and the atmosphere is created by the people!!!

Great location and wonderful service. The coffee was so great and the cinnamon roll.

On a rainy day in Valencia we came across this lovely bakery and coffee shop. We later found out it was part of a chain but this store was really lovely. The pastries and croissants were amazing and the coffee was excellent. Young man (sorry I didn’t get his name working on 10th Oct) was really helpful and his English was very useful when I was asking for a cup of hot water. I did try speaking Spanish but he was very helpful. Great place to go for coffee and cake!!!!!

Had a lovely breakfast experience at Beverly Café in Valencia. The café has a beautiful pink-themed interior with a stylish and cozy atmosphere that feels perfect for brunch and coffee. We tried the eggs benedict with salmon, scrambled eggs, French toast, and cappuccino — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The French toast was especially delicious, soft on the inside with fresh fruits and a perfect sweetness balance. Friendly service and a relaxing vibe made the experience even better. Definitely one of the nicest brunch spots to visit in Valencia.
Ihor Kruhlyi★★★☆☆
The place itself is super cute and perfect for cute pictures. Unfortunately the service was a little slow they made my “hot” latte cold and wrote down the wrong pancake order! The meal that we ordered was not presented like in their menu picture and it tasted a little mid for the price! After they corrected the pancake order they were pretty good.
Samah El Hage Hammoud★☆☆☆☆
Very pretty vibes but the coffee was room temp, the food dry and flavorless, and the latte watery.
The service was good. The waitress was nice. The food presentation was nice.
Do not recommend.

Looks cute from outside. The menu looks pretty standard for a cafeteria, nothing special. The food is ok, average, I’d say. These cafeterias solve the problem if you miss the lunch hour and find every restaurant closed for siesta.

Here’s my first and probably last post from Valencia that’s not to say there is only one great coffee shop, there are many many many 😁
However I really liked MAYAN … a lovely relaxing business run by a family originally from Guatemala 🇬🇹. Granddad is the boss (quite right too if you ask me 😁) and the rest of the family work hard to make your visit a pleasant one.
Obviously no @cotsaward … this is Europe 😉 … don’t let that put you off just go and enjoy ☕️🍰 😁👍
Oh and COME ON ENGLAND ⚽️🏴⚽️🏴⚽️
Pieke★★★★☆
Nice bar, Mayan themed (as aspected). They had a nice mural to show the coffee chain. The coffee we had (espresso and a cortado) were nice. The espresso was better then the cortado (which was slightly bitter). Very friendly barista. Everything was nice and clean. The only thing that makes a 4-star rating in atmosphere were the notes everywere (don't touch, laptop 30 minute max, you break you buy, etc.) It is probably neccesary but felt a bit negative.
Hitori★★★★★
Early in the morning searching for wholesome meal plus cup of coffee. Went onto Google map and came across this cafe.
Had the Guatemala Breakfast + Flat white coffee.
The Guatemala meal comes with scrambled eggs, salted black beans paste, cheese, plantains and bread. It was delicious.
The coffee is simply out of this world, so rich and aromatic, never tasted coffee like this before. Flat white is a must to try !!!

This is my favorite place for coffee and they also have delicious pastries and cheesecakes. I go there often and recommend it to all my friends. The coffee is uniquely delicious, I’ve never tried anything like it anywhere else in the world. The service is very warm and welcoming. Thank you so much!
Barry Haggis★★★★★
A truly wonderful place!
The coffee is great, the food is great, the organice juice is great!
Location: 5* - Right next to the Torres Quart
Service: 5* - I wanted to practice my Spanish and they have been very patient and accommodating. The food was prepared very quickly and so were the other drinks.
Decor: Mayan themed (obviously) but it has a real raw and natural feel to it.
Food & Drink: 5* - The Tortilla was amazing. I have had it for the last two days, and will be coming back every morning. The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had and the orange juice was so good I could have drank litres (thank god they only put it in a medium glass).
Overall, if you’re coming to Valencia, don’t leave until you’ve tried this place. A true gem.

We discovered DOCTA Coffee during a visit to Valencia and had an amazing flat white there. It was so good that we bought beans to take home with us.
A few months later, I contacted them again to order coffee as a Christmas gift to Germany and the whole experience was exceptional. Communication was incredibly friendly and personal, with great advice and genuine care throughout the entire process.
The package arrived right on time before Christmas, beautifully packed and including a handwritten Christmas card. Such a thoughtful and generous touch.
Fantastic coffee and truly wonderful people behind it. You can really feel the passion of this family-run business. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in Valencia again. Highly recommended!

I was in Valencia for 20 days with my partner, and after a few days we discovered Docta.
From that day on we went at least once a day, until the last day of our holiday.
Let's start by saying that Valencia has many delicious cafés, but Docta is a step above them all for that extra attention they give to the customer.
The owners Javier and Diego are among the kindest and friendliest people I have ever met.
Javier in particular (since he served us more often in the afternoons) let us try different drinks when we weren't sure what to order.
I fell in love with their Mocha, cappuccino, iced latte, iced chocolate and mint chocolate.
If we had had more days I would definitely have tried others.
We will definitely be back!
I recommend it for those looking not only for excellent quality coffee, but for those who like to live the true experience of perfect 'customer care/service'.
(Ps Prices are also good).
We are already missing Docta!
Thanks guys from Carmen and Emma

Tiny space with big food and a funky/cool tropical-ish (?) vibe. My poached eggs bacon and avocado toast was huuuuge, with absolutely fresh ingredients in a big portion. Soothing atmosphere and they run the show here like pros. Great for breakfast, lunch and/or coffee.

We had breakfast there and it tasted amazing. We had an acai bowl, but instead of acai we took greek yoghurt, with matcha latte and empanadas with chamomile tea.
The service was great and although we had some hiccups with the language, she was very helpful in explaining the menue and tea options into English. She also gave us a quick Spanish crash course ❤️
Would definitely recommend this little gem 😊

Both latte and iced americano are great! The espresso de hoy is “midnight”. The taste is more sour, which is perfect for iced americano. But a bit low flavor for latte. But the latte milk form is good. No seat in store. Togo only.

It looks nice but it doesn't taste good. Was very disappointed with the taste of my iced latte after reading the great reviews. Tasted like cheap coffee. My friend had a matcha and we already saw by the colour of the powder that it's bad. Tasted like grass.

Great little gem of a coffee shop in Valencia. My barista was such a lovely man and a top notch barista! Clean, fresh menu which offers a good range of drinks and snacks.
Great tasting coffee, which is not as strong as I normally like it, but still had a sweet, cocoa taste that is very welcoming for this kind of temperature.

“I’ve been looking everywhere around Valencia for a genuinely good matcha and honestly most places were disappointing… until I found this spot. The matcha here is AMAZING smooth, rich, high-quality ceremonial taste, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet like most places. You can actually tell they care about the quality of what they serve.
And Carlos made the best matcha for me! Super kind, welcoming, and clearly knows what he’s doing. The whole experience felt cozy and authentic. Definitely my new favorite matcha place in the area. Highly recommend for real matcha lovers 💚”

The flat white was decent, but the cappuccino here in Spain I think is made by a different recipe, they just pour a very aerated milk and put some cacao on top. Just take something else besides cappuccino.

I’ve had better coffee but it was fine. They have really good doughnuts! The vibe is fine, most of the people were working. It’s lowkey connected to a hostel.
What I don’t like is that there is zero signal and 5G access, but if you want to connect to their wifi, you have to share your email with them. I also think the sitting areas could be better, there are mostly bar chairs. And I also don’t understand why they use plastic cups when you sit inside. I think it’s pointless and also not ecological for no reason.
Hector diaz perez★★★★★
I came here specifically for the cold brew and it did not disappoint. They had real cold brew and not that fake hot coffee with ice that some claim as cold brew. They alternate their choices of coffee so you have a different one in your visits. It's very good

This coffee shop is tucked away in a small alley, so I had no idea it was there until I found it accidentally! Unlike some other Syra coffee shops, this one has some sitting space, which is nice. It shares space with a hostel lobby, I think, and it’s a pretty cool atmosphere. The barista was great and we enjoyed our coffees on a rainy day.

As someone who is very picky about coffee, I can honestly say this was my favorite coffee spot in Valencia.
The café latte and cappuccino were perfectly balanced, with great flavor and texture. One thing I especially appreciated was that they don’t automatically cover the coffee with chocolate powder. It lets the quality of the beans speak for themselves, exactly as it should.
The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. They also have beautiful artwork displayed inside, some of which is available for purchase, adding a unique and creative touch to the café.
The owners clearly love coffee and care about what they serve. The food was fresh and tasty, with great options to enjoy alongside your coffee. The service was friendly, warm, and genuine, making the whole experience even better.
I visited many coffee shops during my stay in Valencia, but Paper Cup matched my taste better than any of them. Excellent beans, consistently great coffee, fair prices, and a genuinely happy experience from start to finish.
If you appreciate quality coffee made by people who truly care about their craft, this place is absolutely worth a visit. ☕️🎨✨

Small variety of food options but a good range of coffee choices. Quality is basic for the price, which is quite high. Indoor seating feels cold, outdoor seating available. Noise level is okay despite being on a main street. Staff is friendly. Entrance has a barrier, making wheelchair access difficult. Both card and cash accepted, no waiting time.
The Muffin was only topped with berries, inside it was filled with Marmelade, what gives a stage taste.

Tips for Choosing Your Coffee Stop Near the Park
A great coffee experience near Jardí del Túria is about more than just the beans. The way you time your visit, what you order, and how you plan your route can all shape the quality of your break. These practical tips will help you make the most of the city’s café scene, whether you are a specialty coffee enthusiast or simply need a reliable pick-me-up during a long walk.
1. Time your visit around local habits.
Spaniards tend to drink coffee mid-morning and after lunch, so cafés are often busiest between 10:00 and 12:00 and again from 16:00 to 18:00. If you want a quieter atmosphere or a better chance of grabbing a window seat, aim for an early morning visit shortly after opening or a mid-afternoon pause before the post-work crowd arrives.
2. Know the difference between a café and a specialty coffee bar.
Traditional Valencian cafés serve excellent espresso-based drinks like café con leche and cortado, often at very affordable prices. Specialty coffee shops, on the other hand, focus on single-origin beans, manual brewing methods, and latte art. Decide which experience you are in the mood for before you set out, as the two styles offer very different atmospheres.
3. Ask about the roast and milk options.
If you prefer plant-based milks or want a lighter, fruitier espresso, do not hesitate to ask the barista. Most specialty shops near the park are happy to explain their current bean selection and offer oat, almond, or soy alternatives. Traditional cafés may have fewer non-dairy choices, so it is worth checking before ordering.
4. Combine your coffee stop with a park activity.
Many of the best cafés are within a five-minute walk of the park’s main access points. Plan your coffee break around a specific landmark, such as the Palau de la Música, the Gulliver playground, or the Serranos Towers. This turns a simple caffeine stop into a natural part of your walking or cycling route.
5. Look for places that roast or bake in-house.
A café that roasts its own beans or prepares its own pastries is usually a sign of higher standards overall. These spots tend to care more about consistency and freshness, which translates directly into a better cup. Even if you only order an espresso, the attention to detail is often noticeable.
6. Carry cash for smaller traditional bars.
While most specialty coffee shops accept cards and mobile payments, some older neighbourhood cafés near the park still prefer cash for small purchases. Keeping a few euros on hand will save you from an awkward moment when ordering a simple café solo.
7. Do not overlook the quieter western stretch.
The area near Campanar and Bioparc has fewer tourists and more local character. Coffee shops there are often less crowded, slightly cheaper, and just as good as their counterparts in the city centre. If you value a relaxed pace and authentic neighbourhood energy, head west along the park.
The coffee culture around Jardí del Túria reflects Valencia’s broader appeal: it is welcoming, unhurried, and increasingly sophisticated without losing its soul. Whether you choose a tiny bar where regulars read the newspaper over their morning cortado or a sleek specialty shop with a rotating menu of single origins, you are tapping into a ritual that locals hold dear.
The best approach is to let the park guide your day. Walk a little further than planned, take a side street that looks interesting, and stop when a café’s aroma or atmosphere pulls you in. With so many quality options scattered along the green corridor, the perfect coffee break is never far from the shade of the Turia’s trees.
