Very good and fresh bakery. Everyday you can find something sweet or salty to take to go. Everything is high quality. We came back a few times a it was top of the top. The service does not speak English but is nice and always tries to get along by showing and smiling. We did not speak Spanish but always could get what we wanted.

Authentic Valencian bakery I stumbled across. They have a few shops in Valencia. Absolutely delicious, very well priced, and the locals shop there. Visited twice during my two days' stay. Do yourself a favour and drop by.

It’s 10/10. Good atmosphere, a lot of different pastries. Friendly people and sooo tasty. And because my bun with chocolate had soooo much chocolate - my bag has the half of it rn 🫠😂

This place is incredible! Stumbled across it on the way to another breakfast place and decided to go back here. So happy I did. The pastries are delicately made and they have interesting offerings that I haven’t seen in other bakeries. They even accommodated my extremely pathetic attempt to speak Spanish when ordering and (PSA to those for whom it really matters) they can speak a little English when needed. Probably gonna go back multiple times.

15 years ago there were countless small bakeries producing excellent bread. I used to go out at 7am to get a fresh loaf. Then things started to change. Petrol stations would have an oven to finish off factory made dough. On this trip to Valencia I have found a few good old school bread makers and none better than Alfonso Martinez. They are opposite the central market so easy enough to find. The bread was just as I remember it: light, crispy, delicious. A baguette here cost €1 and you can get one from carrefour for 45c. But I promise Alfonso’s bread is worth the extra.

When I go to the cafe - I expect that waitress will smile, say good morning and wish all the best; everyone wants fast and quality service, and tasty food. Here you can get a tasty food, but the service is completely terrible. Don't recommend this place. 15.11.25 - PanPan Atelier met me with a huge queue, which is uncomfortable, but a plus because it shows that people recommend this place. Despite the amount of people - tables are small, good for 1-3 people only. Their staff is very tired and nervous, every client feels that they just want to get your order and move to the next person. No smiles, no good words, and total tiredness on the faces. In my case I ordered cappuccino with eclair, and asked for sugar for coffee. Staff forgot to give me sugar and I had to come back and ask again. When I started eating, I noticed that my fork wasn't clean, I saw fingerprints and some food from another dish on it, and it's pretty disgusting for me. The price is normal - 5€ for eclair and cappuccino, and the food is tasty, unfortunately these are the only advantages. Don't recommend this place.

Resume: do not came here for coffee if you want to buy bread this would be your point. Details: The croissant was really good I’d give. 10/10 The orange juice was on point 10/10 The service tho was below from what I expected. 6/10 Talking more about the service: - the cashier girl was a bit rude and couldn’t offer me a good food service explanation - The food delivery to table was in the other hand fast which is good The cappuccino 5/10 - The milk foam on my cappuccino looked burnt instead of having the smooth, creamy texture I was expecting - The coffee flavour was meh… not bad but not good either (attached a video) Linked prices below not sure if it’s expensive or not people can judge

A small café amongs the blocks of flats, with a nice atmosphere. We ordered two different slices of cakes and two cups of coffee (café cortado). The cakes were home-made, very tasty. The coffees were good, too. Highly recommend!

This place is truly amazing and very unique. The decoration is incredibly beautiful; the moment you walk in, it gives you a sense of warmth, peace, and very good feelings. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the atmosphere is truly special. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and sincere, especially one of the employees, the handsome gentleman who brings such great energy to the atmosphere, made us feel very good. 😊 Everything is very delicious, and the location is also great. It is a place where people can spend enjoyable time, create beautiful memories, and want to come back again and again. I definitely want to experience the atmosphere here in winter as well. I will definitely come back. I wholeheartedly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great coffee shop with delicious food, excellent coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. The vibe is warm, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying breakfast, lunch, or just a cup of coffee. Friendly service and a great overall experience—we’ll definitely be back!
Irma Glaner★★★★☆
It's quite crowded for breakfast, you order at the counter and they serve it. The food is tasty, the salmon sandwich is nothing special.
Mark MTL★★★★☆
A wonderful cafe in a great classy neighbourhood. The location is great. The design is small but wonderful using the light wooden colours. The coffee is delicious. And the cheese cake that I have tried was so great. Recommended.
Teagan Litten★★★☆☆
The menu here looked unique and really tempting, so I was excited to try breakfast. I ordered the avocado salmon toast, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations, the bread was a bit cold and hard, and overall it felt like it was missing that extra touch of care. If you’re after something simple, this place works, but if you’re looking for a more special breakfast, you might want to explore other options.

We simply loved this place. The savory pastries were very delicious, and the sweet baked goods were excellent as well. The recommendations from the very friendly staff member were outstanding: the raisin cookie was absolutely delicious, and the tiramisu we took home on his recommendation was a real pleasure to eat just now. Thank you very much for that!

On the way to the beach we decided to stop here for a lunch. So we got some toasts with a drink and a coffee set plus we got some cookie and a pistachio dessert. My toast with salmon and avocado was delicious. The fish was soft and melted in my mouth, bread was fresh, soft inside and crunchy outside. Pistachio dessert was a bit strange- it absorbed some scent from the refrigerator. Overall our experience was good. Staff were friendly and welcoming, speak good English. Atmosphere was good, not loud music on a background, clean tables, clean windows. Definitely will come back when in the neighbourhood.

Very cute cafe with absolutely fine prices! The service is rlly great and I wanted to say thank u one more time. My boyfried is alergic to apples so they made the smoothie without applejuice for us. When I told them that it is not sweet enough, they gave me another juice for free, too mix with the smoothie :)) The food is also rlly great!

Just had breakfast here, so my opinion is as fresh as the orange juice. Delicious croissant artesano, which just melts in your mouth. Triangulo espinaca with some crunch on the outside and moist, flavorful interior. All served warm. Orange juice and coffee to accompany. All with table service, and all for a little over 7 euros. What’s not to like?

We’ve ordered 2 branches and one breakfast. Quite low quality ingridience, omlet was quite badly made and instead of fries we recieved chips. Seems to be more fast food rather than bakery & coffee. I found some ther better places worth of try in the same area.

This is our second time ordering a birthday cake from Passage à Paris. I’d say it’s the best French-style cake in Valencia. We ordered the Mille-feuille, the strawberry fruit tart, and the raspberry fruit tart — all were delicious. I’m usually not a big fan of pastries, but I really love their cream. Highly recommend!

This pastry shop must be one of the best in Spain. We are incredibly fortunate to have them in Valencia. They offer a delectable selection of small cakes, perfect for surprising your guests at any party. They also have exquisite cakes for birthdays and special occasions, as well as large cakes for an indulgent personal treat. And let's not forget their divine French pastries, 🥮 🥐, which will undoubtedly make any day special. A must-visit for anyone exploring the city." These are just minor suggestions, and the original review effectively conveys the writer's enthusiasm for the pastry shop.
Evan★★★★★
This authentic French dessert store primarily caters to take-away service, offering only two small tables for quick in-house indulgence. The owner, a delightful and attentive host, promptly shares detailed product information. We savored a Fraisier, Tarta Limon y Merengue, and Eclair de Pistache, and each dessert was a delightful explosion of flavors, masterfully balanced without veering into excessive sweetness. Alongside, we complemented our treats with refreshing juices, all of which came to a reasonable total of about 15 euros, a testament to the exceptional value for such high-quality offerings. For those in Valencia, this is an absolute must-visit for an authentic taste of French desserts. This recommendation holds true for locals and travelers alike. I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit on my return to Valencia.

Interesting place! Definitely worth to go there. Good choice of cookies, pastry, sandwiches. Speciality coffee, frappe, milkshakes 🤩 I got Caramel Latte Macchiato- very very good and balanced. I have noticed that many Spanish cafes don’t know how to make a good coffee with syrup- in most of the cases coffee turns out toooo sweet, too much syrup, but not in this place! Bravo! I also got a fig tart- delicious 🤤 not super sweet, exactly what I needed. Staff was friendly and welcoming also speak English. Atmosphere was great 😊

If you have some time to kill before a train or just arrived in Valencia, Savoiardi is the perfect stop. It’s surprisingly big and has a fantastic, atmospheric interior that feels much more high-end than the prices suggest. The coffee is solid, but the real stars are the cakes and baked goods — very tasty. It’s a great, affordable way to start your day or take a breather in the city center.

A must visit when in Valencia. The food and service is top notch 👌 Take in the atmosphere and Architecture of this wonderful place. Defo be back. PS menú del día is excellent value 👌

My husband and I went here for morning snacks with 2 americano 1 slice of cheesecake 1 eclair We paid 12.75€ Overall, it was an okay experience. We like the ambiance and the place space - a very loungy-like experience. We didn't like the desserts much - too sweet for us. The choux pastry also seemed not fresh or at least too hard to eat. Will I recommend it? Why not? Our preference is different - you might enjoy the pastries, cakes, and drinks more than we do 😁

Undoubtedly, a very good maker of cakes and patisserie items. The baguette style bread is in need of real help. Unsalted dough may be a deliberate choice, but the crust quality is undeveloped. The dough needs time, and I'd suggest a sourdough starter for depth of character. But notwithstanding this deep low, the cakes are a highlight
Rose B★★★★☆
I like some of their bread and have also tried some of their sweets, like the chocolate dome, which was full of flavour. They package everything nicely, to make sure it all travels well. Their displays are always fabulous and enticing. On the downside, they are a bit pricey if compared to similar bakeries in the area. Their savoury food options, such as the lasagna and the empanadas are not as good as their sweets.
Samuel Csető★★★★★
We ordered a cake for birthday through the online website which was super easy. Cake was ready for the selected date, time and was beautiful. Quiches were tasty and staff spoke English very well and was super helpful. They even gave us a lighter for the candles as we forgot to buy it. Busy traditional Spanish bakery, if you have a special occasion this is the place to go. From small to big cakes, fresh baked baguettes and croissants all is really good. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Service is great but sometimes seems a little stressed, so atmosphere just 4 out of 5 stars. No sitting inside but huge patio. THE OG SPOT FOR VALENCIAN HORCHATA! Cool spot to have an horchata and farton (slightly sweet , doughnut like , bread stick). The horchata was just a little too sweet for my liking . But very nice spot and quick service. Their fartons were some of the better ones we had in all of Valencia .
Melissa & Jamie★★★★★
Came to Horchatería de Santa Catalina for churros and they were some of the best we had in Valencia. They were served fresh with a crisp outside and soft centre. The hot chocolate was just right too. It was rich enough to enjoy with the churros without being overly heavy. A big thank you to Naomi who looked after us. She was friendly and made us feel really welcome.
roylan zuriel★★★★☆
Came here as recommended by my tour guide that this place is one of the original horchata places - I personally enjoyed the horchata with the farton and dipping that into the horchata. It wasn’t too sweet which is what I prefer, I even ended up ordering two portions. Service was really quick and you pay as soon as you get your order.
Dario Fiorucci★★★★★
A historic institution in Valencia that is an absolute must-visit. The interior is charming, decorated with traditional ceramics that create a wonderful old-world atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to try authentic, chilled horchata, paired with traditional fartons for dipping. A delightful, classic stop right in the heart of the city.
Hande Demirci★★★☆☆
Honestly, I found it quite overrated. The dough was okay, but the chocolate didn’t have a rich or deep taste and was below average for me. We went because of the hype, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it. The horchata was also not really for me. I understand it’s a unique and traditional taste, so I don’t think it’s necessarily the place’s fault - I just didn’t enjoy it.

Tips for Choosing the Best Bakery Near the Park

While the list above provides a curated selection of the finest spots, knowing what to look for can make your decision easier. The bakery scene in Valencia varies wildly between industrial production and true artisan craftsmanship. To ensure you have the best possible experience after your time in Jardí del Túria, consider a few local insights. These practical tips will help you navigate the counters like a resident, ensuring you get the freshest bites and the most authentic flavors.

Look for "Horno" or "Obrador" on the Signage
In Spain, the word "horno" means oven, and "obrador" refers to a workshop where the dough is actually made on-site. If a bakery displays either of these words, it is a strong indicator that you are getting a product made from scratch rather than frozen dough that has been simply baked off. This distinction is crucial for finding the true texture and flavor of Valencian baking.

Timing is Everything for Fresh Bread
If you are hoping to buy a loaf of bread to take back to your hotel or to enjoy as a picnic in the park, you need to know when the bakers pull their goods out of the oven. Most traditional bakeries in Valencia bake their first batch of the day around 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM. However, many also do a second bake around 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM to prepare for the evening meal. Ask for "pan caliente" if you want it warm.

Embrace the Local Specialties
While a chocolate croissant is always tempting, stepping out of your comfort zone will yield better results. Look for the "fartón," a soft, sweet roll glazed with sugar water, designed specifically to be dipped in horchata. Alternatively, try a "coca," a savory or sweet flatbread that is a staple of the Valencian bakery scene.

Check for Wholegrain and Sourdough Options
Modern Valencian bakeries are increasingly catering to health-conscious customers and those with a preference for complex flavors. If you prefer a denser, more nutritious option, look for "pan de masa madre" (sourdough) or "pan integral" (whole wheat). These loaves are usually displayed prominently and indicate a bakery that prioritizes fermentation and high-quality flour.

Consider the "Desayuno" Combo
Many locals do not just buy a pastry; they sit down for a "desayuno" (breakfast). If you want to rest your legs after walking the park, look for a bakery that has a small seating area or a bar. The classic Valencian breakfast is a "tostada" (toasted baguette) rubbed with tomato and olive oil, or a sweet pastry paired with a "café con leche" or freshly squeezed orange juice.

Taking a break from the green tranquility of the Turia gardens to indulge in a local bakery is more than just a snack; it is a cultural immersion. The warmth of a traditional oven and the aroma of fresh yeast connect you to the daily rhythm of the city.

Whether you choose a modern artisan sourdough or a classic sugary fartón, you are tasting the essence of Valencia. So, take a seat, savor the moment, and recharge before you continue your journey through the city’s beautiful green artery.
