Nice shopping mall which is air conditioned and with. Lots of restaurants and also some shops which are more inclined to ordinary citizens rather than tourists. A good place to spend some time before taking trains since it is on top of an important train statiok, Principlo. The supermarket, Mercadona, is big and has reasonably priced items. There is a small dining area where you can eat the food bought from the supermarket. The area is well equipped with knives, forks, spoons, microwave, tissues and water for cleaning. This supermarket closes at 2:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays but opens till 9:30pm on working days.

Great mall just travel wisely and use a phone strap at all times. Keep nothing in your pockets! You won’t even know it happened. This mall is connected to a large train station where your thief will quickly get away.
Otherwise this mall is beautiful, good stores, a large food court, movie theater lots of things going on.! Enjoy it.

Handy mall with plenty to choose from..There are selection of restaurants at the food court, a descent supermarket and a cinema..it is located next to the metro which makes the transportation very easy..there are also bus stops near by for other means of transportation..İts a not far away from the Royal Palace which looks stunninning. One down side of the place is that there are too many homeless people outside one of the main entrances..its a discrace Madrid municipality cant do much about this situation..The securities doing there best for any unplesant situations and is highly appreciated..

This mall is VERY close to the city center. It took us less than 25 minutes (walking) from La Gran Via. The place is air conditioned and has many stores. You could easily spend a morning (or afternoon) there. There is a food court. We enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended. We are definitely coming back!

I visited this shopping mall, and while it was large and looked nice, the experience was quite strange. There were multiple leaks from the ceiling, even inside some of the stores, which really lowered the overall standard. It’s hard to take a mall seriously when the roof isn’t even watertight.
On top of that, the escalator to the food court wasn’t working, so we had to leave the mall and enter again from another side — a pretty frustrating experience.
That said, we did find what we were looking for in the shops, so overall it was an okay visit, but definitely not impressive.

La Vaguada is one of the best shopping centres in Madrid. It offers a fantastic variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, and entertainment, making it a great destination for the whole family. The mall is spacious, clean, and well organised, with a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of seating areas to relax.
I particularly appreciated how easy it is to get there by public transport and the excellent range of services available. Whether you're shopping, having a meal, or simply spending a few hours with family or friends, La Vaguada is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to both locals and visitors to Madrid.

This mall has everything you need. The service/staff are all amazing throughout, they are very helpful and do their best to assist. Primary has great deals and is a good place for souvenirs. AlCampo is one of my favorite markets, they have so much affordable food and drinks as well as snacks. The food selection was pretty great too with a mix of snacks, full meals and drink stations.
Overall great place to get some shopping done. It's clean and spacious. Could use some chair/benches in between stores.

Amazing shopping mall right by the Manzanares River! Plaza Río 2 is a fantastic spot if you are looking for a mix of high-end shopping and a relaxing walk. It features a huge variety of renowned brands like Zara, Pull&Bear, H&M, and Mango, along with plenty of classic shops and a large Alcampo.
Great for Families: If you’re visiting with kids, there are a lot of options to keep them entertained. The "Esfera" terrace has an impressive outdoor play area with a giant slide and hanging bridges that they absolutely love. There is also a dedicated playroom called the Kids Team Area which is a lifesaver for parents wanting to shop.
The Highlight:
Make sure to head up to the rooftop terrace, El Mirador, for some of the best views in the city. The sights of the Madrid skyline and the river are stunning, especially at sunset. It’s the perfect place to grab dinner or a drink at one of the many restaurants (like Five Guys or Starbucks) while the sun goes down.

Shopping center located near the Paseo Rio and the Manzanares River. In addition to the traditional shopping, commercial premises, food court has an exceptional terrace that allows you to have a panoramic view of Madrid. This is also very appropriate shopping. With a location on the banks of the Manzanares River, it has even an open space for leisure. The entertainment options are good. It has about three floors of everything a shop can offer.

Great place to hang out and shop at! A bunch of stores to explore and great sales to discover. We came here twice in the past three days during our stay in Madrid! A lot less packed than the stores in city center and you find better deals and more sizes though still having a decent crowd.

This Mall is Amazing especially at night time, when the lights and the humungous electronics screens outside the mall are on and illuminates the entire area.
A few stories tall, maybe 5 or 6 floors I didn't count, this mall has everything you need to stay shopping or just window shopping for at least a couple of hours.
Nice layout, popular stores, a food court, restaurants, parking garage, and playground for the kids. The nice formal restaurants are located in the top floor.
This Mall is right across a small bridge from "Matadero Madrid" a very popular Art Center of which i had written a review too.

One of Madrid's best shopping centres, well worth a visit
Plenilunio is a solid and well equipped shopping centre in the east of Madrid, conveniently located near the airport which makes it a great option if you have time to kill before a flight or have just landed. The range of shops is wide covering fashion, technology, home, sports and more, and the food court has plenty of varied options to suit all tastes. The cinema is a highlight, large screens and good facilities. The centre is spacious, modern and well maintained with plenty of light throughout. It can get very busy on weekends and the parking fills up very fast, which can make arriving by car frustrating. A reliable and enjoyable shopping destination in Madrid.

We went in for some pinchos and glasses of wine at Pinxos Bilbao. Each one was pretty pricey, which is understandable since it’s a luxury place. But the pinchos were meh. We’ve had better at El Corte Gourmet’s La Maquina.
The ambience was great. Some restaurants may have better food. We went to Amoretti, a gelato place which never fails and it’s superb.
Overall, choose where to eat. Everything is pricey but the ambiance is lit.

Sambil Outlets is essentially dead as a shopping destination, presenting a rather depressing retail landscape that feels abandoned rather than active. The mall suffers from barely any stores open, creating long stretches of empty storefronts that give the entire complex a ghost town atmosphere.
While the decent sales from the few remaining operational stores might attract bargain hunters, the overall shopping experience is severely compromised by the reality that many restaurants and stores are permanently closed, leaving large sections of the mall completely vacant.
The facility does offer 3 floors of air-conditioned space, which provides relief from Madrid's heat, but this basic amenity cannot compensate for the lack of viable retail and dining options that would make a visit worthwhile.
The pervasive sense of commercial failure and the limited selection of functioning businesses make it difficult to justify spending time here when Madrid offers so many other vibrant shopping alternatives. I would not recommend Sambil Outlets to anyone seeking a proper shopping or entertainment experience - the combination of widespread closures and overall decline makes this a destination to avoid rather than explore.

I came to the outlets looking for a black T shirt, sports socks, and lunch. I left empty handed and disappointed by my lunch. It was monday afternoon and this place was pretty deserted. Amazing and I def recommend. I’ve been in the city for a week and I go every day. so worth it!! Lots of food selection, and everything we tried was amazing, whether it was food or drinks. The people there are so nice and the whole atmosphere is great. It’s always full, but the crowd is friendly and you will still get your food and find a place to enjoy it. If you’re in Madrid, you should go!

If you are looking for an unforgettable culinary experience right in the heart of Madrid, Mercado de San Miguel is an absolute must-visit. Housed in a stunning historic wrought-iron market hall just steps from Plaza Mayor, this lively food destination is a paradise for food lovers.
What makes this place truly stand out is the incredible diversity of options under one roof. You can easily hop from stall to stall sampling crispy croquetas, freshly carved Jamón Ibérico, gourmet seafood skewers, aged Spanish cheeses, and sweet churros—all paired with a glass of crisp local wine or chilled sangria. Every single stall offers a delicious window into Spain’s rich culinary landscape.
The energy inside is electric. Bustling, warm, and filled with an infectious crowd of travelers and locals alike, the atmosphere creates a fun, social dining experience you won't forget.
While prices are a little higher than a quiet neighborhood tapas bar, the premium quality of the ingredients, exceptional presentation, and prime historic location make it completely acceptable and well worth the extra Euros. Don’t leave Madrid without spending an afternoon exploring this iconic food hall!

It’s is aesthetically pleasing but ultimately feels like a tourist trap. The market is much smaller than expected and absolutely packed, even on a Monday afternoon. Everything is heavily overpriced. I paid €13 just for a single squid sandwich.
It’s worth walking through quickly just to soak up the lively vibe and see the displays, but definitely save your money and grab a real meal elsewhere.

This place is heaven for a foodies! You can try a little bit of everything. Portions are small but it allows you to taste everything.
I was really excited about trying the tuna at the one of the back corners but it looked and tasted like it had been sitting put for a while.
I also had a spicy beef empanada and I have to find the spice. The flavor was good nothing I hadn't had in Mexico or at home before. I did try a spicy brioche, so tasty. There is a spritz bar and the Hugo Spritz are refreshingly tasty especially during a Euro Summer.

Absolutely amazing! A fantastic place to enjoy delicious, authentic Spanish food. The prices are very reasonable, making it affordable for everyone. Very cool mall with a different concept focused on experiences, sports, and unique shops. However, it’s a pity that some of the best themed stores on the top floor are closed… especially the Harry Potter shop (El Callejón Madriagón), the huge Funko store, and the comic/geek stores. They were truly special and made this place stand out. I used to bring visitors from Madrid just to see those original and immersive shops, the Harry Potter store felt like stepping into a magical world, and the Funko shop was one of the biggest in Spain, full of collectibles. Really hoping they reopen, because they added a unique and unforgettable touch to the whole experience.

Such a cool mall! I wish malls like this existed in the States. Complete with three floors of shops, boutiques, arcades, candy shops, and other places as well as a giant food court and movie theater, this place has it all. On top of all that, the entire place is not only bike/rollerblade/skate/skateboard/etc. friendly but the layout encourages these activities.
If you’ve got kids, it’s a perfect place to expend some of that bottles up energy on a too-hot-to-go-outside day or a cold winter day. Even if you don’t have kids, it’s a great place to get your steps in.

This complex is a motorcyclist's dream. All your favourite exclusive manufacturers are here: Harley Davidson, Ducati, Triumph etc. If you don't want to buy the bike, buy the accessories.

Unfortunately, my experience in the bag department at El Corte Inglés Castellana was disappointing. While the store was quiet, the staff member appeared reluctant to assist and was more focused on chatting with colleagues than helping customers. When we asked for information, the interaction felt minimal and not very helpful. There were also other customers waiting without assistance. A rather depressing place, with weird neon-fucsia lights, mish-mash of seating spaces and very slow service.
Not the workers' fault, as there were only two on the shift. They are probably doing their best. With the huge amount of workforce available in Madrid, why not hire a few more to be able to lower the waiting time for customers?
The metal chairs, with a narrow sitting surface, are an absolute punishment for your back
Some of the clients have left their trays on the tables instead of emptying them in the designated area which, by the way, is not very visible.
Perhaps they didn't even notice it.
Why not place a large, fun sign to help customers contribute to the cleaness of the place?
The tacos were average and we had to wait for them for about 15 min. And the restaurant was almost empty.
Brighten up the place, hire extra workers and install some soft, elegant lights.
The space has potential.

A cute mall with good trendy clothing brands. The stores are always in stock, so if I dont find something in madrid center, like on grand via, I come here😂 recommend!

Nice shopping center with a good variety of stores and restaurants. The place is clean and easy to access. Good for shopping and spending some time with family.

Lots of places to shop and eat and very wheelchair accessible 🙂 The huge Carrefour was great!

I absolutely was amazed by this shopping center , it came out of no where just all sudden saw it , well inside they have lots of cafes , bars ,restaurants, clothes store , kids store ….
But for me it was really great when I saw the huge 2 floors carrfour, well they have alo most everything and anything that one wants in there .
You can leave the whole shops center and just go to there it will be enough

It was a good shopping center, but due to its large size, there are not many brands in it, there were no discounts at all, and the price is higher than other places. Carrefour is big and good for spending time. For those who eat halal food, you can use a halal restaurant inside. The parking lot was not very interesting and it is a very difficult road to park a car

It is a Madrid style shopping mall. It isn't American style really. There are a number better and there are a number worse. It is very conveniently located to public transport. It is large and clean. It has a large carrefour as an anchor, and a number of other shops and a small food court. Perfectly normal and perfectly fine. Nothing special worth traveling to in general.

It is a great cafe near Plaza España. Excellent options for a healthy breakfast also delicious cakes. The service is brilliant. I highly recommend it.

A little run down maybe but some fun stores. We love the Cine Renoir Princesa most of all.

It takes 10 minutes to walk around

It's fun to eat here.
You'll probably take some pictures of the place too.
Regarding the food, it's just average. Not much variety. And despite the 'take all you can eat', desserts are now limited to 3 per person. And you might not even make it to take 3 dessert plates you like if you wait too long in your 1-hour limit.
You won't leave hungry, and it's somehow fun if it's your first time, but it's not something to write home about.
Jacopo Cecchini★★★★☆
It is a square in brutalist style, nothing fancy. There is a lot of fast food and a gallery quite dirty. Not the best place in Madrid where to be. 2 min walking there is plaza de España which is much better

The cafeteria on the lower floor offers nice food.
Shopping is good but expensive here.
One of Madrid's most upscale shopping centers in the most expensive area of the city.
Traditional shopping here. No local products.

Shopping center that has two entrance, one at Serrano street and the other to Paseo de Castellana. It has a rooftop restaurant, 2 museums. Nicely decorated.

Nice place, brand new and quiet because not many people know about this place. With Mercadona and fitness centre inside, as well as furniture store Habitat. Terrace has nice view.
Maximilian Pazak★★★☆☆
One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been too. Service was great. Food was not good.
Urban Traveler★★★★☆
Chic is the word I'd use to describe it. It seems occupancy is not full, so several stores are available to rent but ambience is nice. It has a big supermarket inside

There are quite various type of shopping like clothes and electronics. The prices are reasonable and good quality. Moreover there is a corner for coffee and snacks. But it is not a big building.
Nikola Nikolov★☆☆☆☆
There is no shpping mall only coffee and h&m 🙂
Paula R.★★★★☆
Small but practical. It has a few clothing stores, hm, douglas, media markt and a restaurant and a cafeteria. Usually open, even on holidays. Wish it had more stores, but can't really complain.
Ahmed Almarzougi★★★★☆
Small but nice one it has good electronic shopp
Bobby Duck★★★★☆
It is a decent place, with a media markt and some other clothing shops such as scalpers. It has decent insulation, pricing is average and there isn't to many people in the place... If you are close by you could if you want go and see inside to buy some stuff...
Tips for Shopping in Madrid
To make the most of your retail experience in the Spanish capital, it helps to understand the local customs and logistics. From timing your visit to understanding tax breaks, a little preparation goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and successful shopping trip.
- Respect the Siesta: While major department stores and chains in the center remain open all day, many smaller boutiques and family-run shops close from roughly 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Plan your boutique browsing for the late afternoon or early evening when the city comes alive again.
- Understand the Sales Seasons: The best deals are found during the "Rebajas." The winter sales officially start around January 7th, and the summer sales begin around July 1st. These sales are government-regulated, meaning discounts are genuine and often increase as the weeks progress.
- Claim Your VAT Refund: If you are a non-EU resident, you are entitled to a tax refund (IVA) on purchases over €90.01. Always ask for a "Tax Free" form when paying, and validate it at the kiosk at the airport before checking your luggage.
- Carry Cash for Small Markets: While credit cards are widely accepted, many vendors at street markets like El Rastro or small artisan stalls prefer cash or have a minimum spend for card transactions. Keep some small bills on hand for souvenirs and tapas breaks.
- Wear Comfortable Shoes: The best shopping areas in Madrid are best explored on foot. You will likely walk several kilometers hopping between boutiques, department stores, and terraces, so leave the stiff dress shoes at the hotel.
Exploring these districts offers more than just the chance to buy new things; it is a way to connect with the rhythm of Madrid life. Each storefront tells a story of the city’s evolving culture, from centuries-old craftsmen to cutting-edge designers pushing the boundaries of fashion.
By balancing the grand commercial boulevards with the intimate side streets, you will gain a deeper appreciation for why Madrid is considered one of Europe’s premier shopping destinations. So grab a reusable tote, lace up your walking shoes, and prepare to discover your new favorite store.
