15 Best Nightclubs in Madrid

Madrid’s reputation as a city that never sleeps is not a myth. While the tapas bars wind down and the museums close their doors, a different pulse takes over the streets. From the historic center to the industrial edges of the city, the Spanish capital transforms into a sprawling playground for night owls.

The nightlife here starts late and ends well after the sun has reclaimed the sky. It is common to find locals enjoying a long dinner at midnight before even thinking about hitting the dance floor. If you arrive too early, you will likely find empty rooms and locked doors, so pacing yourself is essential.

Navigating the scene can be overwhelming due to the sheer volume of options. The city offers everything from glamorous rooftop terraces to gritty underground techno bunkers. Understanding the distinct neighborhoods is key to finding the vibe that suits your taste, whether you prefer reggaeton, house, or indie rock.

The dress code varies significantly depending on where you go. High-end clubs in the Salamanca district or on Paseo de la Castellana often enforce strict door policies requiring elegant attire. Conversely, venues in Malasaña or Lavapiés embrace a more alternative, casual aesthetic where self-expression is prioritized over polish.

Music is the heartbeat of Madrid’s nocturnal culture. While commercial hits dominate the Gran Vía area, the city is also a major stop on the European electronic circuit. You can find world-renowned DJs spinning in converted theaters and multi-story warehouses almost every weekend.

To truly experience the city like a local, you must adapt to the schedule. The prime hours for dancing are between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Many Madrileños finish the night not with a taxi home, but with churros and hot chocolate as the city wakes up around them.

This guide curates the essential venues that define the current landscape of Madrid after dark. Whether you are a first-time visitor looking for a glamorous night out or a seasoned clubber seeking cutting-edge sound, this list provides the ultimate roadmap to the city’s best dance floors.

Super long line, but if you buy tickets in advance you can avoid it! Drinks are quite expensive but the pours are generous. Tons of great music and places to spend time in. Great spot to visit if you plan accordingly. Places to sit to avoid being in a super loud area for conversations as well.

Fun club with great music. The dance floor was PACKED and we went on a Wednesday. Be ready to sweat and for very young people lol.

for real one of the worst night ever, i came to the reception with 2 other freinds and the security guy scanned and cancelled my ticket , i thought it was for me to access the inside but when i got inside ready to get the coupon for drinks they scanned my ticket but it didn’t pass so i was escorted outside while my other two white freinds got in the club.I was told after i will be refunded but not allowed inside the club , so i bought another ticket online they wouldn’t even listen to me ,so i waited and approched another security and told him wht happened and after he told me you need to change your outfit while i had been allowed inside before which doesn’t makes sense.i had no choice he had to cancel the second ticket and had to leave. At least he listened to me but would great if i was treated equally

On our last stop on our Spain trip we had two days in Madrid. We decided that since it was the last place we should try to go to a cool club, and after seeing some videos online we decided on Kapital. We bought our tickets online and went to the club. Arriving to the club, there was a long line and the bouncers were a bit rude, and it turned out the tickets we bought were for the world day since it was past midnight, so we had to buy tickets again inside. The inside was super cool, there were 2 main dance floors, a keroke room, and more. The top level was closed but the building was packed. The tickets we got had two free drink vouchers, which was nice because after that each drinks is a whopping €16. There was a “headlining” dj that night and the theme was Egyptian which I thought was super cool. This is definitely a younger seen with most of people there being from study abroad programs. Overall I think if you ate in Madrid you should totally come to this club for the experience, but it was a bit expensive and a lot of energy.
Praise Sowunmi★☆☆☆☆
They are racist here. If you’re black, spend your money elsewhere. They tried to charge me and my other black friend more money than our white friends at the door, and then tried to deny it and the hosts were super rude as well when I called them out about it. There are better clubs in Madrid that will appreciate you! Do not go here.

Visited Planet Club during my first trip to Madrid as an American, and I had a great time! The vibe was fun and energetic, with great music that kept the atmosphere lively all night. One thing I really liked was that they offer hookah, which added to the overall experience. The entry fee was definitely worth it since it included a well drink and a shot. The crowd was diverse, the energy was good, and it felt like a great place to enjoy Madrid’s nightlife. If you’re looking for a club with good music, a nice atmosphere, and a solid value for your money, I’d recommend checking out Planet Club
Mert Yüksel★★★☆☆
That was definitely insanely bad for me. But the interesting thing is that is exactly what they offer. There are strippers inside and lots of people ordering hookah. Drinks are also insanely expensive(5€ for small beer). However, the staff was sooo nice, the music was cool and design of the place was very impressive. I think the place is on wrong hands. It really has great potential but bro……… don’t serve hookah in the club and get rid of the strippers….
Grace Crawford★☆☆☆☆
This place was a disappointment. Bouncer let a lot of frat guys in, wasn’t our crowd. We left and went to Teresa club and had a blast.
Anna May★★★★★
Stopped here on the pub crawl. We had a great time here. Super cool cocktails the way they are presented and tasted delicious. Highly recommend. The staff were lovely as well.
Jamaica Aali★★★★★
Definitely a vibe. My girls and I stopped in because a promoter outside mentioned that they played Afrobeats. Sold! It ended up being a mix of sounds, but they played a few of our faves and we had a great time. The reviews confused me about what the vibe would be, so here’s some detail. It’s a small but not minuscule club with hookah in the front and the dance floor focused in the back. On a Tuesday we paid a 12 euro cover that included a sugary welcome shot and a drink of our choice from the bar. The place looks cool—think neon lights styled to say “Black Lived Matter”, a New York theme, and lots of posters of hip hop legends. It was a diverse crowd, but we were among the only Black women. Certainly not a place with universal appeal, but it appealed to us! The DJ was raucous, the people friendly, and at midnight things were really just getting started. Before we left we all said, “we’re definitely coming back here”.

Went with my friends on Halloween. Great music! The venue is a little small, people were leaving after 4-5 AM. Great experience.
Tatiana Indge★★★★☆
It's a fun place with great music. Very popular, so gets very busy. Outside around the club can catch a good deal, for entrance, drinks and free shots. Smoking is prohibited inside, but there is shisha (cachimba in Spanish). Not least important, can pay entrance with visa card.
Monica Romero★★★★★
Sergio had treated me the best way possible !!
Amine Tbaik★★★★★
The good things about the club: It stays open until 6AM unlike other clubs they close at 3 The dance area is so perfect. The size is perfect. Not toooo big not too small, THE PERFECT size Clock room = 1 euro Entrance to clubs in madrid has a common system between all of them: no free entrance, you buy a ticket and the price for it depends on how many drinks you want. For this club entrance 12€ for 1 drink If you want 2 drinks i think the price is 18€, so it gets cheaper. Stuff and bouncers are so nice. Music is awesome.
Tom Harvey★☆☆☆☆
The club is the definition of a scam. The poor waitresses will need to try and justify the transaction went through but I have a transaction receipt for the first charge. Even when you show them the duplicate receipt with video evidence of you not leaving the bar management will deny double charging you. How sad they are. Please do not visit a bar that will try and use their countries poor technology as an excuse to scam you

We went on Thursday night at an ESN party. The music was excellent, we really had fun because of this! Although prices were really high (12€ drinks, 8€ beer and 7€ soda) and the staff didn’t speak English. Drinks also didn’t have alcohol at all. You also have to enter before 1 am to have free entrance and to book your entrance as a guest list from an instagram link. (We should have pre drinking)
Nikolas Kazanjian★☆☆☆☆
So I went outside for a couple of seconds literally to call my friend and then I was denied the entrance back because I didn’t have a stamp which was their mistake and I called the situation stupid while having all the prove and tickets for more drinks and , and they were like you disrespected us. Talk about shitty guards and completely arrogant people. Just never let your guard down
camille★☆☆☆☆
Worst club, places were paid 17€ on PATT and they still refuse the entry because they decided out of nowhere that they were no longer allowing PATT’s places (we arrived at 23h40???). Still, a lot of other people were entering untill 1h30. This was not a problem of behavior as we behave perfectly. Full perte.
Nicole McGee★☆☆☆☆
I am absolutely outraged by my experience at Icon Madrid. I asked for a simple glass of water at the bar, and the brown haired girl working there coldly told me she could give me “toilet water!” All I asked was if they had water??? I was confused and asked her a second time and she said it again! That’s the level of disrespect you get here. I spent a ridiculous amount of money for entry and drinks, only to be treated like garbage. Her miserable attitude and disgusting comment completely ruined my night in Madrid. I’m beyond angry and deeply disappointed. Management should be ashamed. I genuinely hope she gets fired. Avoid this place at all costs!!
Mark Krivorog★★★★☆
If you are between 18 and 24, this is the place for you. There are many young foreigners who come in groups and are almost always together, and there are few locals. The music is loud and the drinks are good quality. We were there on Tuesday; perhaps the situation is different on weekends.

We had such a fantastic time at Calle 365 in Madrid! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks. One of the absolute highlights was the massive selection of mocktails and cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for something refreshing and alcohol-free or a creative, well-balanced cocktail, they truly have something for everyone. The variety was impressive, and everything we tried was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We also had the tripletas, and they were absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor and perfectly prepared, they paired amazingly well with our drinks. To top it all off, the music was fantastic. It really elevated the whole experience — great vibes, great energy, and the perfect soundtrack for the evening. If you’re in Madrid and looking for a lively place with excellent drinks, tasty bites, and an amazing atmosphere, Calle 365 is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!
Yasmina Monzer★★★★☆
Drinks were delicious, the interior is super nice (latino vibes and neon lights) - only not a 5 because the music was disappointing (could be that night’s DJ). You get a shot at the door with the entrance which I really liked the idea.
Mark Ngavaite★★★★☆
It's a place that has placed a lot of effort on design and themes, making at an experience for people who have turned up. After you pay, you got a drink as a potion. The club is a on the small side but brings out out a lot of energy out of you. Things that bring it down was some cashiers didn't take cash and later on , there seemed to not have too much space around you .
jolan verschoren★★★★★
Lovely atmosphere! Wish there were more vegetarian options, but the cocktails are delicious and the place is beautifully decorated!

A great place to hang out and try shisha. The staff are very friendly, and it's easy to make new friends. Most importantly, if the staff sense that someone is becoming aggressive from drinking, they politely and calmly ask them to leave. Thank you, you're the best!

I hesitated to write this review because it’s based on my personal experience rather than hard facts. However, after reading other reviews, I decided to share what happened to me, as my suspicions turned out to be valid. At the entrance, most bars in Madrid usually charge €10–€15, including one or two drinks. This place immediately raised a red flag: when they realized I was a foreigner and didn’t speak Spanish, they let me in with no entry fee and offered me a free drink. Almost immediately after entering, two girls approached me and started a conversation, pretending to be tourists on vacation. The situation felt forced and unnatural, and something didn’t feel right. Trusting my instincts, I suspected a scam and decided to leave right away.

small club but the music was very good (no reggaeton for once 😃). the aesthetic of the place is very cool. drinks are expensive but it is to be expected.
Jakub Piech★☆☆☆☆
We were not let in because of the dress code, none of us were dressed wrong, just one of us was wearing the sport coat that he would leave in the coat room, because of that the whole group of 7 people was not let in, the bouncers do not have any arguements and are letting people in just on their random logic, terrible place would not recommend anyone the expererience with a bold bouncer. Rude and agrresive bouncers, managers should try to look for better bouncers as it drives the business away from their club.

I used to go to this club every other weekend for some nice techno music. But, I believe after COVID the staff changed. Recently on my visit I was attacked by the security guard for no reason. I think the staff has some personal issues or superiority complex. Just avoid this place especially if you're foreigner.

The worst place to party 🤮😡☠️⚠️. One of the waiters was very rude because my friend was pushed by him (maybe without intention) and my friend just said be careful and the guy didn't like it. Then, the guy insulted and pushed my friend and challenged him to fight 😡. Fortunately, a security guy saw everything and came to apologize for his college behavior. At the end, we decided to complain with the manager and leave the place. In the claims sheet, we wrote what happened, however, from the nightclub version, they denied the waiter's behavior. We'll never go back there. Think twice before going there. One more thing, our drinks were stolen in a few seconds, we were next to the bar and dancing around and all of the sudden there were no drinks around... and these were not cheap at all...

I would not suggest this place to anybody especially anybody American English speaking they seem like they did not like me because I had an accent even though I tried to order in español just flew into town and figured I’d try the “city that doesn’t sleep” apparently they do. I had a great time here! Awesome music, a good crowd. It felt quite safe with decent security presence. It was easy to get drinks at the bar without having to wait ages which is great! The dancefloor is a good size too - not too crowded but doesn't feel empty either (I was there in a Saturday night in June) There's a good amount of seating around the edge of the dancefloor also so if you need a break you can take one pretty easily. I did also note that the place (including the main dancefloor) was wheelchair accessible as well which is cool. Overall I'd 100% recommend going here if you're into house and techno and want a fun time!
Maxi Ha★★★☆☆
For German techno lovers it's a "good place" in Madrid, but you have to find your own space, because it's soo different to the German techno community. The most people aren't dancing, they are talking and dancing in circles. The vibe wasn't very friendly and respectful. The music was good but enjoying it was hard because people talked too loudly. I was surprised the club closed directly to 6 a.m. Sometimes the lights are painful so that you wear sunglasses. The tickets and the drinks, especially water are too expensive.

Great place love the shows the 80/90s music, the people. Something that was missing in Madrid. Buy your entrances online so you do not have to stand in line. I just hate lines. The wardrobe was cash only and I had no cash with me, luckily a couple behind us could help us with some euros for the coats. Better if it was possible to pay with card as well, as in the rest of the place they do accept CC.

They have a great venue here on Saturdays. There are two dance floors and artistic performances which makes the night even more interesting. You can find people of all ages literally from late teens till their 50ies and it suits all.

Absolutely amazing show! People are super nice friendly and the party was awesome. The entertainers are performing for the whole night and creating the best of it that you could imagine. Bar is literally a mix of alcohol like gin/vodka/whiskey with fizzy drinks. Water costs 4€ and they refused to give the tap water at the bar. Wardrobe charges 2€ for EACH PIECE of clothing. So for a scarf and coat you will be charged 4€. But that wasn't the worst experience in this place
Carlo Pisapia★★★★★
Really one of the best nightclubs in Madrid, we got a lot of fun!! In the morning we wouldn t leave the place. Amazing the idea to interrupt the music sometimes with little show. Great drinks in terms of quantity and alcohol. At least you drink something and not just ice as happen in other places. I was with few girls and they felt safe no problems at all. The people are there for dancing and enjoy the night. Great experience for us! Thanks you

Original venue for a fun night in Madrid! Mediaspuri is all about the setting and the committed staff that wanders around the three different rooms. Dressed up in a creepy-burlesque attire. The club opens st midnight and it’s better if you can suscribe earlier on their website. Then you will have the option of paying the entry fee for only 3 euros, or 15 with two drinks which is a good deal. (Drinks inside cost 10 euros). There are three rooms with different music, from Regueton, to eighties music and the larger main ballroom with electronic-commercial music. They will run small acrobatic shows every 30 minutes.

Fantastic massive scale clubbing experience. Over 5 large dance arenas. Great atmospheric and world class djs and live performances

I’ve never been treated so poorly by venue staff. From the shuttle drivers to security and the bartenders, the customer service was shockingly disrespectful. The staff acted annoyed that guests even existed, ignored basic questions, and treated paying customers with contempt. Our group paid around $100 each to attend for the Madrid pride events, yet we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing them simply by asking for help. It was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had at a venue. The event itself was enjoyable, but the staff’s attitude completely overshadowed it. Management needs to address this culture, because no paying guest should be treated this way.
Clint D★☆☆☆☆
One of the most unprofessional organizations I have seen in Europe. More fitting of a third world country. They didn't honor their bus return tickets and drink tickets bought in advance on phone devices were being ignored for the paper tickets purchased on site. I know they have a stronghold on certain events and festivals but it's just not worth it. I wouldn't return for any event run by this organization.

One of the coolest clubs I’ve been to in Madrid! There’s three stages with different genres of music playing so you can go among them and enjoy a variety of music all night long. Drinks are expensive but I imagine it’s equally expensive maintaining such a great place for a night out! Good vibes, good people, good drinks. Will definitely come back!

Overall, the CSF festival in Madrid was excellent. The lineup, organization, and atmosphere were fantastic, and we genuinely enjoyed the event. Unfortunately, our experience was seriously affected by repeated issues with the drink voucher system. At the festival, drinks could only be obtained through prepaid vouchers. One of these vouchers cost €33 and was clearly marked as valid for 3 mixed drinks. At the backstage bar, we tried to order three Vodka Red Bulls using this voucher, along with two separate water vouchers for two bottles of water. The bartender insisted that the €33 voucher was only valid for a single mixed drink. We pointed out that the voucher explicitly stated “3 mixed drinks” and that €33 for one Vodka Red Bull would be absurd. Nevertheless, she dismissed our explanation and maintained that it could only be used for one drink. To verify the actual prices, we decided to pay by card instead. The final bill of just over €40 for three Vodka Red Bulls and two waters clearly confirmed that we were correct and that the voucher was intended for three mixed drinks. Later that evening, we attempted to redeem the same type of voucher at another bar. Once again, a different bartender claimed that it was only valid for one drink. Since this was not the only voucher of this kind purchased by our group that night, the total amount we effectively lost exceeded €100. What makes this particularly disappointing is that it did not seem to be a simple misunderstanding. Multiple staff members gave the same obviously incorrect explanation. Because we were speaking English, we were left with the impression that tourists were being deliberately taken advantage of. This is especially unfortunate because the festival itself was otherwise exceptionally well organized and a great experience. We hope the organizers review the voucher and beverage service procedures to ensure that future visitors do not encounter the same problem.

I’m so happy I went to this club like it was literally everything I wanted and more. The vibe was so nice and cool and everyone was just so welcoming and friendly from the moment I walked in. I felt comfortable right away. Even little things like everyone smelling so good just made it even better. I had such a good time fr I’m definitely coming back.

Lame stuff, got kicked out violently for "smoking inside" when I am not even a smoker, 0 explanations, 0 devolutions. Even after the security recognized he was mistaken I was not allowed back in

I never wrote a bad review, but this place deserves it. It was unbelievably hot and humid inside. Not only that, but also very dirty and smelly. Did not enjoy my time there cause it was below any standard.

Horribly annoying MC supposed to hype up the mood when I was there. Besides from that good music, UK garage downstairs, good vibes upstairs. Hope the MC is not a regular. I'm sure lots of people like it but it just ruins the vibe entirely to me.

Essential Tips for Enjoying Madrid’s Nightlife

To make the most of your time in the Spanish capital, a little local knowledge goes a long way. The logistics of entry, timing, and transportation can make or break your evening. Here are the most important strategies to ensure your night out in Madrid is seamless, safe, and unforgettable.

Plan for a Late Start
Do not show up at 11:00 PM expecting a party. Most reputable clubs open their doors around midnight, but the dance floor usually remains sparse until 1:30 AM or 2:00 AM. Use the early hours to enjoy a long dinner or bar hop in neighborhoods like La Latina or Huertas before heading to the main venue.

Secure Guest List Access
Door policies can be strict, especially at the more exclusive venues. Many clubs offer free or reduced entry if you sign up for the "guest list" on their website or social media before a certain time, usually before 1:30 AM. This not only saves money but often allows you to skip the general admission line.

Mind the Dress Code
Leave the flip-flops and sportswear at your hotel unless you are heading to a specific underground rave. For most mid-to-high-end clubs, smart casual is the minimum standard. Men should opt for collared shirts or dark t-shirts with clean leather shoes, while women often wear heels or elegant boots.

Carry Cash and ID
While credit cards are widely accepted inside for drinks, some smaller clubs or cloakrooms operate on cash only. More importantly, always carry a physical photo ID (passport or driver’s license). Security is legally required to check identification, and foreign driver’s licenses are usually accepted, but a passport is the safest bet.

Use Public Transport or Taxis
Drinking and driving is strictly enforced, and parking in the center is a nightmare. The Metro runs until 1:30 AM, but it may not be running when you leave the club. Rely on official taxis or ride-hailing apps like Uber, Cabify, or Bolt, which are plentiful and relatively affordable compared to other European capitals.

Madrid’s energy is infectious, and its nightlife is arguably the best in Europe because it caters to everyone. The key is to surrender to the local rhythm—eat late, dance later, and embrace the sunrise. By choosing the right venue from the list above, you are guaranteed a night that captures the authentic spirit of the city.

Whether you find yourself lost in the strobe lights of a mega-club or sweating in a basement listening to vinyl, the memories made here will last long after the music stops. Madrid doesn’t just host parties; it lives them, and you are invited to be a part of the story.
