12 Best Beaches in Torremolinos

Torremolinos wears its reputation as a pioneer of Costa del Sol tourism with an easy confidence. Long before high-rise resorts dotted the Spanish coastline, this former fishing village was drawing travelers with its gentle climate, wide sands, and relaxed Mediterranean rhythm. Today, it remains one of southern Spain’s most accessible beach destinations, just a short train ride from Málaga airport and a world away from the region’s more exclusive marinas.

The town’s coastline stretches for nearly seven kilometers, offering far more variety than first-time visitors might expect. From lively urban beaches backed by chiringuitos and promenades to quieter coves framed by low cliffs, each stretch of sand has its own personality. Families, couples, solo travelers, and long-stay sunseekers all find their preferred patch of shore here, often returning year after year to the same spot.

What makes Torremolinos especially appealing is how seamlessly beach life blends with local culture. You can spend the morning swimming in clear, shallow water, then walk five minutes inland for a traditional Andalusian lunch. The promenade connects most of the main beaches, making it easy to explore on foot without needing a car or complicated transport planning.

Water quality along this coast is consistently high, with many beaches holding Blue Flag status for cleanliness, safety, and services. Lifeguards are present during the summer season, and accessibility features such as ramps, amphibious chairs, and assisted bathing points are available at several locations. This practical infrastructure matters, especially for visitors with reduced mobility or families with young children.

The beaches also reflect the town’s dual identity as both a modern resort and a place with deep maritime roots. In the early morning, you might see local fishermen tending nets near La Carihuela, while later in the day the same neighborhood fills with the scent of grilled sardines. That balance between authenticity and convenience is rare on a coastline this developed.

Because Torremolinos enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year, beach season extends well beyond the peak summer months. Spring and autumn are particularly rewarding times to visit, with warm sand, quieter water, and fewer crowds. Even in winter, the seafront remains a pleasant place for long walks and open-air meals.

Whether you are planning a quick weekend break or a slower month-long escape, understanding the character of each beach helps you make the most of your time. Below, you will find a curated guide to the best beaches in Torremolinos, based on local knowledge, accessibility, facilities, and overall atmosphere.

Very beautiful beach especially for the sunset. Surprisingly it is not too crowded so you can enjoy your promenade and nice sea view. In the end of the beach there is a lovely spot with cats.

Lovely beach too walk along we ended up in benalmadena from torremolinos and only took us about 25 min casually strolling taking in the beautiful view along the way with sand sculptures and plenty of shops, places to eat and beach bars along the way

I don't know. I'm biaised as I went to the beaches in Cuba, Mexico and Punta Cana. They are way more beautiful over there. The water in this beach is darker, and there are a lot of waves (I was there from June 13 to June 20). On the other hands, these other beaches have crystal clear water and few waves. I only swam for 10-15 minutes before I went out because I was annoyed by the waves. If you're someome who wants to swim at the beach, I would recommend going to the beaches of Nerja. They are way better.

We came to spend the day on the beach and had drinks etc. The beach beds were super comfy and service was efficient up until a waiter arrived with food and drinks that we hadn’t ordered. They just wouldn’t accept the fact that we hadn’t ordered it. They got rude and offensive (the bigger waiter in particular). It was embarrassing and they were clearly in the wrong - they brought out more drinks than there were people in our group (which was only 4). It’s a shame as it was going well up until then. It was a simple error of mistaken identity at the bar by someone else. Bizarre situation that tarnished what should have been a pleasant day. Very disappointing

Very friendly staff Lili is the best one always making sure you are comfortable and providing the best service ever ! Definitely going back ❤️

Such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere! We rented four sunbeds for the day and had a great time; drinks were reasonably priced and delivered right to where we were sat. I also went and got a massage from Victor and he was an absolute godsend! Honestly one of the best massages I've had, and the cool beach breeze was magical. We will be back before we head home!

Love, love love. Having your every need catered to is luxurious, but this place sets themselves apart from neighboring establishments by 1) setting a high bar for service 2) avoiding pretense. They are fun, laid-back, and warm. I came here alone, without a reservation, and was made to feel very welcomed. I enjoyed the food, drinks, obviously the beach, and highly recommend a massage.

The beach is very beautiful, and the sunbeds and umbrella are affordable at only €7. The only thing I didn't like was the muddy and dirty water near the shore when entering the sea. You have to swim a bit further out to reach the clean part. I definitely recommend it anyway
Steven Waddoups★★★★☆
Visited but only to walk the beach and get a nice cold San Miguel on my way back from the sandcastle photo point. If you are rich and lazy or just rich and have money to spare then this could be the BEST place to put your feet up. But at 10€ a day just for a lounger could be pricey if there are a few of you and you here for a few days but even more than that is 150€ for (can't remember the name) a cozy padded garden seat arrangement under your own parasol with tabel and bar / waiter(ess) service. This is per site not per person so if a few of you and you there only for one day as you have other places to visit then this could be the most relaxing beach experience you could ever get to my knowledge the whole sea front parade has this facility despite all beach areas having different names. There seems to have no expense spared on making the places and entrances looking more than welcoming

We booked the sunbed for two, which included a complimentary bottle of wine. Unfortunately, the wine tasted like vinegar. When we mentioned it, the waiters seemed to already know there was an issue with it but instead of resolving the situation, they implied it was our fault for choosing it. The service was also disappointing. We had to call the waiters multiple times (more than five) just to get assistance or an answer. Cleanliness was another concern. The bedding and pillows were heavily yellow-stained, and there was a dirty plate left on our table from previous guests. Even after we pointed it out, it was never cleared away. There were also dogs roaming freely around the venue without leashes, which may not be comfortable for all guests. Finally, be aware of where you’re seated. Some sunbeds are located very close to the speakers. There was no live music (only a playlist) but the volume was still overwhelming if you were nearby. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price.
Kurt Minihane★★★★☆
Only ever drank here but food looks great, drinks here are good especially important if your a cocktail fan, they do great drinks. Its not your cheapest bar, the single beach bed are 10 euro a day and the large mattress beach beds are 80 a day but from what we seen this does come with some complimentary bonuses in shots and tapas every now and then. We have and would drink here more, service can be a bit slow is the only real let down but its a big area for the staff to be running to be fair.
Anna H★★★★☆
A trendy overall concept with an excellent atmosphere. The food is quite good, though not particularly exceptional. Slightly expensive compared to similar restaurants.
Astro Fiachaire★☆☆☆☆
We got two cocktails and a gin. At €10 each you'd think the cocktails would be at least tolerable but my Pina colada wasn't drinkable, the other two in my party agreed. I think the coconut cream must have been off. It tasted like puke and left a strong aftertaste for a long time. When the waiter came to be paid he looked at the basically full glass that we were leaving behind but didn't ask if there was a problem. Also, genuinely don't think there was any alcohol in it, but maybe the putrid coconut cream overpowered it.
Twotone skaman★★☆☆☆
We stopped here for some drinks. Our order was taken quickly. We could see our drinks waiting on the bar but they took more than 10 minutes to arrive at our table by which time the ice had melted so we had to ask for another glass. This bar is in a great location right on the beach front and is ideal for watching the world go by with great views. However the service was terrible so we would not return or recommend as there are plenty of other better options!

Nice beach. Fairly clean. Paseo is nice to walk down all the way to the marina. Plenty of fish bars offering espetos and other fish cooked over wood, fried fish and shellfish. If you are looking for food here, head to a chiringuito.

Great atmosphere at this beach, clean, lots of activities, restaurants and shops. Well maintained pathways. The Promenade stretches 7km.

A wide beach with natural shade under palm trees. It's not crowded. There is plenty of free parking, bars, and shops along the beach. The water has fine sand and is shallow, but the water is very murky and there are lots of floating algae. You can still swim even though it's October 1st.

A beautiful beach with refreshing and clear water. Plenty of shady spots under the palm trees – perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, some parrots shat on my towel, so I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars. Watch out and keep an eye on your towels !

Eden Beach Club in Torremolinos is a fantastic place to spend a relaxing day by the sea. The atmosphere is stylish and luxurious while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. The beach beds are incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy the sunshine, and take in the beautiful coastal views. During the summer months, it can get very busy, so I would recommend reserving beds in advance to avoid disappointment. However, we arrived without a reservation and were lucky enough to find beds available for just €12, which is a very reasonable price for such a luxurious beach club experience. While everyone is welcome, it’s worth noting that Eden Beach Club has a strong LGBTQ+ atmosphere and is particularly popular with gay men. Women are welcome too, but the majority of guests are gay men, which creates a fun, relaxed, and friendly environment where people can feel comfortable being themselves. The venue is advertised as adult-only, although during our visit we did notice that there were children present. This didn’t affect our experience, but it is something worth mentioning for anyone specifically looking for an adults-only environment. The restaurant and bar areas are great for enjoying food and drinks throughout the day, and I was particularly pleased with the vegan options available. I chose the vegan burger, and it was absolutely delicious—full of flavour, satisfying, and a great example of how vegan food can be just as enjoyable and exciting as any other menu option. It’s always great to find places that cater well to different dietary choices, especially in a beach club setting where vegan options can sometimes be limited. Eden Beach Club made it easy to enjoy a full day by the sea with great food, a comfortable place to relax, and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Eden Beach Club is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for a stylish and inclusive beach day in Torremolinos. With comfortable beds, a beautiful setting, a friendly crowd, and tasty vegan options, it’s a place I would happily recommend and return to.

Wish I had found it earlier although I still have two more weeks to enjoy their hospitality and excellent food and service. Weather permitting I will definitely be an early bird to catch one of their Sun loungers on the beach after which I will update my revue. The food today was excellent and amazing value at €20 for a three course choice menu (including a drink!).
Mark Pang★★★★★
We came here everyday for 5 days in a row. We only ate once but the rest of the time we had drinks, enjoyed the view of the beach, and nice music. Very gay vibes and overall fun. The food however was just ok. I ordered the Vietnamese roll which I didn’t know was fried because the menu didn’t say it. I was expecting something like a traditional Vietnamese summer roll. It was super salty, not my favorite. The tuna tartare was decent. The service was pretty good.

I had an absolutely amazing experience ✨ From the moment we arrived the atmosphere was incredible, beautiful beach views, great music and a relaxed yet vibrant vibe that makes you instantly feel like you’re on vacation. 🌴☀️ What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed and felt completely comfortable. The service was quick and professional yet warm and personal 🍻 Highly recommended this is the kind of place you visit once and immediately want to come back to! ⭐️

This was my favorite beach in Spain. Better than Valencian beaches. Better than Malgueta beach. Found it on my last day here, but it was an excellent day. 8€ chairs, decent prices on food, beach was super clean and had good waves! Be careful of the undertow. Almost got us. Yikes. Not kidding. Next time I come to Spain, I will come straight to this beach. No snorkeling, but everything else was great. 110 bus from Malaga and an hour later you're super stoked!!!🤪
Andrii Abramovych★★★★★
This was our favorite beach during our vacation. However, the sand was quite dirty and could be maintained better. Next to the beach, there is a long and beautiful promenade with many restaurants. Sunbeds were always available at an attractive price: €24 for three sunbeds and one umbrella.

Gorgeous beach on the promenade. So many restaurants & shops around!

Great beach with comfortable sun-beds for rent (8€). The water is clean and the sand is soft. Many nice restaurants along the beach where you can e.g. eat espetos de sardinas 😋

Playa de la Carihuela is a clean, wide sandy beach known for its relaxed atmosphere and long promenade. The beach is not very big and the water gets deep pretty quickly, not a very good place for families with smaller kids or for people who don't know how to swim. A very good thing is the existence of the special assistance lifeguard point for people with disabilities. The lifeguards help them to get into the water and stay there as long as it takes. They also have space in the shadow. Tha beach is sandy, but some gravel at the water entrance.
Rehan Muhammad★★★★★
Beautiful beach with huge, powerful waves that make it a great spot to relax and enjoy the sea. The beach is well maintained and has plenty of space to unwind. The sun beds were excellent value in June at just €8 for two people, making it very affordable for a full day by the water. There is also paid parking overlooking the beach, and it's surprisingly inexpensive, with hourly rates under €1. Overall, a fantastic beach with great facilities, stunning views, and excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you're visiting the area!

Amazing stretch of beach where you can enjoy sunbathing, inflatable toys, restaurants, bars ,swimming or just take a stroll. It gives you an amazing panaramic view down the coast,it also can be very dangerous. The tide comes in very fast and the waves very high.Amazing to see but dangerous unless you're a strong swimmer.

Tips for Enjoying Torremolinos Beaches

A little local knowledge goes a long way toward a smoother, more enjoyable day by the water. The beaches here are generally safe and well-serviced, but a few practical habits will help you avoid common frustrations and make the most of the coastline.

Arrive before 10:30 in July and August to secure a good spot near the water, especially at the more popular central beaches. Sunbeds and parasols can be rented at most main beaches, but supply is limited on weekends. Carry a small amount of cash, as some chiringuitos and rental kiosks do not accept cards. The sun is strong even on breezy days, so reapply high-factor sunscreen after swimming and wear a hat during midday hours. If you are sensitive to heat, plan your beach time for early morning or late afternoon, when the light is softer and the sand is cooler. For the best local food experience, walk toward La Carihuela at lunchtime and look for a chiringuito grilling fresh sardines on an open fire. Public showers and footbaths are available at most major beaches, making it easy to rinse off before heading into town. Finally, keep an eye on the flag system, as occasional easterly winds can create stronger currents, particularly at the less sheltered eastern beaches.

Torremolinos rewards travelers who take their time and let the coastline reveal itself gradually. One day might be spent in the lively heart of Bajondillo, the next in the quieter western stretches near La Colina. Because the town is compact and walkable, you can easily combine several beaches in a single stay without feeling rushed.

What stays with you is not just the sand and sea, but the rhythm of the place: the morning light on the water, the sound of a beach bar filling with lunchtime conversation, and the easy sense that nothing needs to happen too quickly. That is the real appeal of Torremolinos, and it is best appreciated with your feet in the sand.
