15 Best Beachfront Hotels in Fuengirola

Fuengirola occupies a privileged stretch of the Costa del Sol where the Mediterranean lifestyle feels effortless. Unlike some of the more sprawling resorts along the coast, this town has managed to retain its authentic Andalusian charm while offering modern comforts. The seafront promenade stretches for nearly eight kilometres, connecting quiet residential stretches with lively chiringuitos and landscaped gardens.

Choosing the right accommodation here shapes the entire rhythm of your holiday. Whether you want to wake up to the sound of waves or step directly from your lobby onto the sand, the beachfront hotels in Fuengirola deliver an experience that inland properties simply cannot match. The proximity to the sea means morning swims become routine rather than planned excursions.

The town’s layout is particularly friendly for travellers who prefer to leave the car behind. The train station sits a short walk from the main beach areas, and the coastal path links the port, the castle, and the bustling fish market. Staying on the beachfront puts all of this within easy reach while giving you a front-row seat to spectacular sunrises over the Mediterranean.

Fuengirola’s hotel scene is refreshingly diverse. You will find everything from sleek adults-only retreats with rooftop infinity pools to family-friendly resorts with entertainment programmes and kids’ clubs. Many properties have been recently renovated, introducing contemporary design while preserving the warm hospitality that defines this part of southern Spain.

The local government has invested heavily in the quality of the shoreline itself. Blue Flag beaches are cleaned daily, and the water quality is monitored rigorously. This commitment to maintenance means that a beachfront hotel here offers more than just a view; it provides access to some of the best-managed urban beaches in Europe.

Dining is another reason to position yourself along the water. The promenade is lined with restaurants serving espetos de sardinas, grilled over open fires in traditional wooden boats. Staying beachfront means you can enjoy a late dinner with the sea breeze without worrying about taxis or parking.

Below is a curated selection of the best beachfront hotels in Fuengirola, chosen for their location, guest experience, and consistency. Each property offers direct or immediate access to the sand and the promenade, ensuring that the Mediterranean is never more than a few steps away.

We had a really lovely stay at IPV Palace & Spa! The hotel is beautiful, with a great location right by the beach and amazing sea views. 🌊 The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, the rooms are comfortable, and everything was very clean. We also really enjoyed the pool area and the direct access to the beach. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. A perfect place to disconnect, relax and enjoy the Costa del Sol. We would definitely come back! ☀️✨

We had a very good first impression of the hotel. The reception staff have been friendly, and both the hotel and the pool area look very nice. Unfortunately, our experience has been negatively affected by the check-in process. The official check-in time is 3:00 PM, and we have now been waiting in the reception area for over 1 hour and 10 minutes. We still have not received our room. During this time, we have repeatedly been told, “just a few more minutes,” but nothing has happened and no realistic update has been provided. We understand that delays can happen, but clear and honest communication is essential. A sincere apology, a realistic estimate, or even a small gesture of goodwill would have made a big difference. We hope the hotel improves this part of the guest experience, because the hotel itself seems very promising. Update: After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, we finally received our room key. We would like to thank the staff member who assisted us with our luggage, showed us to our room, and made us feel genuinely welcome. He was very friendly and professional, and his service helped improve our overall impression. We still believe the check-in process needs significant improvement, but we appreciate the excellent service we received afterwards.

We stayed at this hotel last year to celebrate a very special occasion, and it was such a great experience that we decided to return this year instead of trying somewhere new. Before our arrival, I would like to thank Beatrice from the reservations team. She was extremely helpful, replied quickly to every email, and offered us a very good rate. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I forgot to leave the five-star review the hotel deserved last year. Otherwise, based on this year's experience alone, my rating would unfortunately have been lower than 4. This time, we didn't feel as welcomed. We requested the same room as last year, although I understand it cannot be guaranteed. Instead, we were given a twin room with the beds joined together, but they kept separating during the night, making it uncomfortable. I also don't understand why full board has been removed. I'm sure there are operational or financial reasons, but it was another noticeable change from last year. The biggest disappointment was the spa. Last year, although late check-out wasn't available, we were allowed to store our luggage, use the spa facilities, have a shower after check-out, and get ready before our evening flight. Because of that great experience, I deliberately booked a late flight again this year. Unfortunately, we only found out on our last day that the spa was closed for refurbishment, and the only alternative offered was the public pool shower, which is not a suitable replacement. We eventually paid an extra €50 for a few hours late check-out because we had no other practical option. If the spa is closed, I believe the hotel should provide a proper alternative for guests with late flights.

First time at the Hotel IPV Palace and Spa and in Fuengirola and certainly not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful - directly opposite the beach and far enough away from the busy end to chill. The food is first class but what makes the hotel is the staff - very friendly, informative, helpful, hard working, kind, attentive and respectful. A very special shout out to Jasmin the hostess and Manuel who works on the bars who have made our stay here just so relaxing and comfortable. First class.

We were here for 2 nights. While the rooms are simple, they are clean. We appreciate the two bottles of water left for us to consume. The safe was handy to utilize for our papers and the view, Wow! The only comment is that I think the bathrooms should have a fan for ventilation. Fast access to the restaurants downstairs, pool, spa was appreciated. We’d love to come again!! ♥️

2nd time staying here and it is a great hotel and good location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Special mention to Sabrina at reception she is very polite and cheery and was great assistance with our request to move room to a front facing room😊. Only issue was the pool area not opening till 11am and having to wait in a big Q to get in from around 10:30am in order to be able to get a sunlounger. It then didn’t actually get opened until 11:20am one day after someone else waiting called reception and had to ask for it to be opened. There also isn’t a lot of beds so if you aren’t in the Q early enough then you don’t get a bed. We stayed for a week and had to go to the beach most days as there was no beds left at the pool. It would be better if there was more sun loungers and less seating area at the other side. (We last stayed in October so it wasn’t as busy so didn’t have this issue however with it being July it was a lot busier.) The bar/snackbar at the pool was also closed the full week we were there. The hotel overall is great though & I would recommend😊

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming into the area. However I would like to highlight that the resident pool area does not allow you to bring your own soft drinks to the sun loungers. I understand this due to the bar but was never an issue in other hotels. The rooms are lovely and the views especially on the upper levels are phenomenal. Not to mention there is an Ale Hop in the lobby. The hotel is located near all the busy areas so you have an abundance of places to go.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was a very bad experience. The staff were rude and unprofessional from the beginning. They insisted that we pay for breakfast for the second guest even though that guest did not want breakfast, simply because the first guest had it included. This policy makes no sense and felt unfair. When we arrived at the room, there was no safe (coffre-fort) to store our valuable belongings. When we asked about it, we were shocked to be told that we had to pay extra to use a safe. When we refused and asked for their assurance that our belongings would be safe, they clearly stated that they are not responsible for any loss or theft and would not guarantee anything. This was extremely concerning and unacceptable for a hotel. To make matters worse, the area around the hotel is unpleasant and not clean. There is nothing to see nearby except pubs and clubs. The noise level is extremely high, with loud music day and night, making it impossible to relax or enjoy the stay. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money at all. There are much better options available at the same price or even cheaper. I strongly do not recommend staying here. Save your money and choose another place.

We just had a 5 night stay here and what a lovely hotel. The staff on the desk are very helpful and very welcoming. They know the area very well. We stayed on the top floor 1607 which had a lovely view of the port and the sunrise was fantastic. We paid for breakfast separately each morning and had a brilliant choose of cereal, hot food and continental. Lots of breads and coffee. A bonus was the wine if that's what takes your fancy. The roof top pool was fantastic the staff were lovely and very welcoming. The drinks were great and had a very big menu to choose from. 1 thing i would say it was very hot and I asked about the air-conditioning and they said its not the right time of year for it,
NadiaSvinet★★★★★
Its a really great hotel right on the beach! The staff are really nice and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I have gotten in a long time on any hotel. Its a bit fun that its round and you have 3 elevators going up to you but its actually genial because you dont have tons of people going back and forth on the hallway to all the other rooms all night. Im always travelling with my son and dont party at night and want to go to bed before 23.. We were only on 2. Floor and had a colony of seagulls right outside the window but they didn't scream at all. You can buy a parking in a basement 3 streets away but it only takes 5 min from the hotel. We are coming back! Thank you for a great week!!

Good location close to large sandy beaches. Check-in was fine. Our room was large with a sea view as requested (at extra cost). Facilities in the room were excellent although the beds were very hard and getting close to retirement age! Breakfast area was good with plenty of choice. There was an egg station which we always enjoy.
Elizabeth Werenowski★★☆☆☆
★★☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing customer service from reception, particularly from the man who appeared to be acting as Head of Reception during the evening shift of our arrival on Tuesday 16th June. We booked one of the highest room categories available, only to arrive and find that the room was not as advertised. The daytime reception team offered a temporary solution and assured us it would be sorted while we were out for the day. When we returned that evening, nothing had been done. What followed was an unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming experience, during which we were met with attitude, rudeness and a complete lack of helpfulness from the Head of Reception. After around 10 minutes of back and forth with another member of staff, we were eventually given the exact same temporary solution that had already been offered earlier in the day, but only after considerable discussion and frustration. It's a shame, because the hotel itself is in a great location and the facilities are good. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left a very poor impression and left us feeling stressed, which is not the start to a holiday that anyone would want.

Great position on the seafront, pet friendly room on third floor had full sea view and good size balcony overlooking the pool. Tea/coffee making facilities, small fridge also in room plus Smart TV with lots of channels in many languages. Buffet style dining option is fine, with plenty of variety and even a separate area where you can bring your pet with you to dinner. All staff were absolutely lovely - from bar to cleaners to restaurant, can't fault them. There is carparking onsite (extra cost). Close to public transport, and you'll be spoiled for choice for bars and restaurants - great place overall.

Good location, but the rooms are very old and the washrooms almost broken on every corner. The lift is very slow. No room service, and mostly the receptionist were not friendly at all. Even their Suites look like very economical room. The price which they charge is very high for the quality & service they provide. Not even a single water bottle they provide you in the room. AC is fixed temperature and cannot be changed.

I’ve only used Ilunion as a co-working space, good connection, ample space to work and attentive service. The cafe /bar area has also got an outside terrace whichbis lovely when the sun is out. I’ve also had lunch a few times whilst working, they have a good variety of omelettes, burgers and sandwiches as well as a set menu for those staying at the hotel.

The hotel offers comfortable rooms and an excellent location, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The breakfast buffet provides everything you need to start the day, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The only significant downside was the noise on the 5th‑floor corridor, where guests or habbitant frequently caused disturbances in the middle of the night 1AM,2AM— sometimes even around 4 AM. This happened throughout my 10‑night stay, leading to multiple unwanted wake‑ups. It would be great if the hotel could address this, for example by adding quiet‑hours signage or improving nighttime supervision.

The hotel was great. Kind staff, clean lobby that smells amazing day and night. Tasty breakfast with a good choice of food for everyone. Shame this hotel doesn't have a restaurant with buffet. Poolside was cleaned daily, lifeguard on site for all day. Pool bar a bit poor in choices but was ok. The room was equipped with tableware, pots and pan, kettle, cooker, fridge freezer and microwave. Nearby beach, pharmacy, bars and supermarkets (which are honestly well overpriced compare to ones further away). The only issue we had was a Wi-fi. The connection was dropping constantly or there was no connection at all. Overall, we had very nice experience at PYR and compare to the hotel next door we think this hotel deserves 4 stars, not 3.

We travel a lot as a family, but this was, unfortunately, our worst hotel experience. We had booked and paid for a two‑bedroom suite, which wasn’t available on the first night; our family was split into two rooms, moved again the next day, and only then received the suite. After that, we noticed bed bug bites and informed reception. The proposed solution was another move, again splitting our family for the last night despite our concern that moving rooms can spread bed bugs. The extra work didn’t end at checkout. To protect our home, we arranged professional freezing for all luggage and clothing immediately upon landing coordinating logistics and paying several hundred euros out of pocket—just to ensure we didn’t bring pests back to our home. It turned our holiday into a stressful, time‑consuming exercise. The property itself has clearly seen its better days. While the location is convenient, the hotel feels tired: worn furnishings, some non‑working sockets, thin bedding in cold rooms, and beds that felt very old. Also be aware that room quality varies significantly, some rooms are noticeably better than others, so your experience can differ a lot depending on which room you get. Bottom line: If you want a hotel that provides a bed (potentially with bugs), the bare basics, and a good location, this may suit you. For us, the combination of multiple room moves, bed bugs, and unhelpful handling of the situation made it an expensive and exhausting stay. The hotel needs a thorough renovation and a more professional approach to pest control and guest care before we could consider recommending it.

Really, this is the 4th year in a row that our family has stayed at the PYR hotel and they are great. Great location, staff, breakfast, pools with lifeguard, pool bar. Just great.

I had a private owned apartment, which was really good, had most of the things you needed I gave a 4* as the beds were a little uncomfortable and could of done with a hairdryer. The Hotel reception were very friendly and answered all our questions. They even let us store our bags for free as we had a late flight. The pool area was nice.. the hotel was clean. The Hotel is a stones throw from the beach! Would definitely stay again!!

We stayed at the Benalma Costa Del Sol hotel for 4 nights at the end of August. The hotel has so many wonderful things to it. 1. The location - the hotel is away from any other hotels and is right at the beach - this means that most of the people at the beach are hotel guests and it never really got too busy - there was always space. 2. The hotel has everything you need(besides 1 thing) - you’re there right at the beach - the hotel has 2 pools and hot tubs at the roof - there are hotel bars everywhere - there’s a corner shop nearby - there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel and a train station a short walk away. The only thing I was missing was an ice cream cart/shop!! The bars sell pre packaged ice cream but there are no like fresh ice creams anywhere nearby - we went to the marina and got some amazing ice cream there. If the hotel could open their own ice cream cart with fresh ice cream that would make the experience (for us) 12/10 instead of a 10/10 3. The rooms are great and the sea view is perfect. 4. The staff is amazing everyone is very nice and works their hardest to get you served as soon as they can. 5. All Inclusive - the food was great. They try to cater to everyone’s tastes and I am sure you will always find something for yourself. 6. The drinks were good - strong and intense in flavor! 7. We got surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine on my partners birthday - a lovely lady knocked on the door saying Happy Birthday and brought us the bottle - it was such a nice surprise! Overall our experience was excellent and we will definitely aim to come back here in the future!

Hotel is amazing, clean, modern and well kept. Animation is really fun, Daniela was so much fun and entertaining. And the food was reeealy good, with big variety. Only 2 things I would recommend doing: 1) clean the buoys in the main swimming pool because they leave a yellow stain with heat and water. 2) on the jacuzzi in the rooftop there should be some umbrellas to create some shadow

An exceptional hotel in every aspect. You can truly feel the touch of authentic Spanish hospitality and excellent local management. Every detail is carefully looked after, and it's clear that guest satisfaction is the highest priority. The food is outstanding and prepared to the standard of a real chef. What impressed us most is that the menu changes every day, offering a great variety of fresh, high-quality dishes. Every meal felt like a new culinary experience. The breathtaking sea views are unforgettable, and having the beach right at the hotel's doorstep makes the location absolutely perfect. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the very best of the Spanish coast. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional holiday.

We arrived yesterday to the Benalma hotel and couldn’t be happier with the staff and facilities - especially Fafu & Paula the entertainment team at the pool - they are fantastic!! The pool party was so much fun and all the games. I won the darts and my nephew won the swimming race! Such wonderful staff, make us feel very welcome and so much fun!

Okay it was pretty good and the booking was very easy. Also a great service, great rooms, great cleaning, great location, nice view. Everything is just so good. I just love how it looks. The food is actually pretty good. I think it's actually a good hotel and I recommend booking it if you ever need a hotel. I recommend it. It's really really good and I just really really recommend it. Great service, also cleaned the room well. The room looked good and everything is just perfect.

Stayed at the hotel recently with my wife and Grandkids. The hotel is a bit tired, but the rooms are clean and more than functional, hence the four stars. The staff are both friendly and exceptionally helpful. We stayed on a full-board basis, and I felt the food was excellent, with a wide range of dishes and fresh produce available at every sitting. The salad offerings were excellent and obviously fresh. The fish on offer was varied throughout the week. It was always obviously fresh and of high quality. The wife and the kids are relatively picky eaters, so they didn't necessarily share my views. I think the hotel offers an excellent, varied selection, and most people will find something to eat. The pool area is kept spotless, and the rooftop setting allows outstanding views across the Marina. The location is outstanding; you are quite literally in the middle of the seafront with the marina facing you. I suppose the true measure of a hotel is whether you would return. I have to say that I would be happy to. Thank you to all at the hotel who work hard to keep travellers happy.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and just come home today. It was our first time in Malaga. The location is a bit rowdy however and lots of bars and restaurants outside and with having children this wasn’t really ideal, however our room was on the boat port side so didn’t hear much noise at night and had lovely views of the port. However it is in a good spot as you have choices to eat out and a supermarket attached to the hotel. Also right near the beach. Some staff were really friendly a big shout out to the entertainment especially ‘Connor’ I think his name was always made big efforts to talk to us our son is autistic and tried to include him in kids club. My daughter absolutely loved him and loved ‘kids school’ as she called it. The rooms are dated and do need to refurb I wouldn’t say this was a four star hotel more like a three. We met so many lovely people. Our room was cleaned every day. I do have to say the pool area however doesn’t look anything like the photos and trying to get a sun lounger in the morning is impossible I believe you have to queue for 10 to get one but throughout the day we normally went around 2ish people were starting to leave but I noticed a lot of towels on sun loungers and no one was on them for hours. Breakfast was ok there was lots to choose but the pancakes weren’t very nice. Overall we had a really nice stay and would come back again.

Don't listen to any bad reviews. This place is spot on. It's a lovely hotel and very big! The food is excellent tbh, I never found anything I didn't like, and I also tried new things. The rooms are more than adequate in size and the beds are super comfy. Large balcony with table and chairs. There are no coffee/tea making facility's so bring your own. The roof top pool is a nice touch and the pool bar is excellent and cheap. Those guys on the bar work their back sides off all day so show a bit of appreciation and leave a tip if you can. Now, the only issue I had was the noise late at night from the clubs directly underneath my room. Luckily I always take ear plugs with me so wasn't so much an issue, id recommended you buy some. Air con I'd included, but if I'm honest it wasn't the best. But I can't complain for free. The safe is available at 3 euro per day. I don't usually stay out at night as I don't drink but the entertainment I did see wasn't for me (flamenco dancing, Spanish bingo, magician) not to say you won't enjoy it though. Anyways if you're due to come here have the best time. And if you fancy going out at night there's plenty of pubs to choose from right on the door step

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, shops, and the marina. It is definitely one of its biggest advantages. The hotel itself would benefit from renovation, as some areas and rooms feel a bit outdated. However, this did not prevent us from enjoying our stay. We would especially like to thank the entire restaurant team for their excellent work! The food was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety every day. There was always a wide selection of dishes, so everyone could find something they enjoyed. A special mention goes to the friendly, attentive, and polite staff. They always welcomed guests with a smile, were helpful, and created a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you for your excellent service and hospitality.

Really nice hotel and in an amazing area. Read a lot of reviews saying very loud and walls are paper thin but didn’t hear anything at night. Close to the beach, Bars and Restaurants . Cleaners really lovely and friendly however one downside The Air-con in the room was really really bad it was basically pumping out warm air so it was cooler to have it off and the balcony open even though it was 35 outside 😂😂. Nothing worse than coming in from the sun and having a really hot room. Other than that really good, Hopefully they can improve the Aircon for next time.

FABULOUS! A wonderful stay from start to finish, the hotel is very clean, modern, spacious and in a great location! We were warmly greeted by the reception staff on arrival, they explained everything clearly and always had a smile on their face. The room was a very good size with a modern interior, the bed was HUGE and the balcony overlooking the sea was lovely (side sea view room). The breakfast buffet was spot on, great selection and a large dining facility providing indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is a lovely space with a bar and staff on demand taking orders and delivering food/drinks. The pools themselves were great, the bigger pool is huge and never overcrowded, there is small pool which is a nice touch and another pool bar serving food and drinks. The hotel is right on the beach front and a short walk into the centre of Fuengirola town. The hotel staff delivered bottles of cold water to our room in an evening and also brough a birthday cake and bottle of fizz as it was my partners birthday. We were not expecting this so was very kind of them. A special mention to Lucia, who is the manager, she was very kind and helpful during our stay. Also to Maria, who was the young lady who checked us in on arrival. She was very polite and helpful, both a credit to the business. Thank you Occidental Fuengirola!

WONDERFUL STAY at Occidental Fuengirola We love staying at Occidental Fuengirola, right on the beach (across the road) and with a large swimming pool. Being able to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside is especially important to us, and they deliver on that there! But we also particularly appreciate the good personal service. At the reception, Gabriel ensures perfect service throughout the stay, and Millie provides a very smooth personal and cheerful touch aimed at satisfied guests. The Guest Experience Manager is present daily and very approachable. He properly ensures an optimal customer experience. Bravo!!

I was very disappointed with my stay here and would not recommend this hotel. There are both good and bad points. Good points: * Great breakfast * Fantastically comfy beds * Great location Bad points: The sunbed situation is very poor. Guests begin queuing from around 9am for a limited number of loungers. This often leads to pushing in the queue and a stressful atmosphere. The pool area is also between buildings and does not get much direct sun on the whole area, so this is something to consider if you are booking for a sunny pool holiday. The pool area also does not consistently open at 10am, and on several days it opened later without clear explanation. Regarding check-in, I requested early check-in in advance and was told I would be prioritised if a room became available. However, on arrival we were told we had to wait until 2pm, while other guests arriving after us were checked in earlier. The manager was present during this and did not offer any assistance. When we entered our room, the floor was not properly cleaned and the air conditioning was not working. A maintenance engineer did attend and repair the air conditioning. I also reported that our balcony door would not lock, but was told this was not an issue. The receptionist at check-in was however friendly and polite. I spent a long time choosing the right holiday for myself and my mother, and unfortunately this hotel did not meet expectations. While there are some positive aspects, I would not return.

Fantastic hotel. Spotless rooms every day. Very large comfortable bed. Staff very efficient and always polite. Wonderful housekeeping and bar restaurant reception staff are all very polite and hardworking. Foot at breakfast and dinner large selection different every day. Great fitness centre. Food is amazing loved the cava in the morning. There are a lot of bars cafes shops very close to the hotel which also has its own supermarket. All in all wonderfull hotel well worth its star rating. Only thing not so great is that it's a bit far out but there is a bus station and train station within walking distance and taxis are not to expensive depending where you want to go. Just be careful if you ask for return tickets as they don't do them and can be quite expensive. Thank you occidental fuengirola for a wonderful time and to all staff for making our holiday very memorable. Would love to come back next time when visiting fuengirola from rosanne and terry room 714 from scotland

Really great hotel, lovely & clean, has everything you need, the staff are all really friendly & accomodating & the location couldnt be better. I am picky with food & although we preferred an English breakfast out, there is plenty of great food to eat on the buffet .. lovely melon, fruit, walnuts, yogurts, cheeses, rolls, breads, biscuits, muffins, i was getting a good pot of tea too.. for me lunch would have been a better option over breakfast, shame you cant pick lunch instead or select a takeaway breakfast & eat it for lunch. Air con & small fridge in the room, huge comfy bed & water in the fridge was a nice touch. The pool area was good with comfy sun loungers too & lots of outdoor comfortable seating. If we came to fuengirola again we would book this hotel again.

We will never come to this hotel again. We definitely did not get the same apartment we booked. The hotel only explained that the pictures are indicative and Booking said that we have the right to get the apartment according to the picture. Absolutely shocking nonsense from the hotel man. They only tried to explain that we have got a bigger apartment than we booked but we did not really want a bigger ugly apartment but a modern and contemporary room. You can see in the pictures what we booked and what we got. Do not book an apartment from this hotel. The grey-haired man kept insisting that we had been upgraded to a bigger apartment. Upgrade? We will get a creepy apartment from the 80s instead of a new modern apartment. The hotel clearly sells itself with new modern apartments and most people get old, run-down apartments. This is completely a rip-off of the customers. There were holes in the living room walls and a gap in the front door so big that a rat could come in at night. We are really disappointed and we will definitely never come to this hotel again. The hotel did not agree to any kind of compensation. The customer pays for a new modern apartment and gets everything else!

Just left a 2 night stay (2 adults and 2 children) and unfortunately did not have a good experience overall. The first room we were given had a very bad ant infestation in the bedroom - there were hundreds of dead and alive ants all over the floors in the bedroom, bathroom and we even found some in the children’s bed. The general cleanliness of the room was also not good - the bedsheets were stained, the floor had dried food and crumbs and the window sills were black. The ant issue wasn’t really ideal but also to be expected in hot countries, it was the general cleanliness that was a bigger issue. We complained and they sent housekeeping to clean up, but also offered us a different room. We were told someone would come to move us in 10 minutes so we waited over 50 minutes and eventually gave up and asked to wait until morning so we could eat and put kids to bed. The next morning I again asked for a refund and/or a room change and was told someone would come and move us in 15 minutes. Again we waited nearly an hour before someone arrived, and when I chased up a time the person I spoke to was pretty rude. The new room was cleaner and didn’t have any ants, so it was an improvement. I will say that a lot of the individual staff we encountered were so lovely and friendly, housekeeping, maintenance and the porters were all lovely, but the communication with management/guest services was really bad and we constantly had to chase for updates. We spoke up several different staff members, including management, in person and on the phone and at no point did anyone apologise, or ask us if we were happy with the way it was dealt with. We ate the in safari restaurant and the staff there were lovely, the entertainment was great and the food was nice - so it wasn’t all bad! However for us the accommodation itself was unpleasant and the way it was dealt with was really disappointing.

Stayed here for a second visit as we stayed at Ramada last year and had a fabulous room (518 Marina del Ray)lovely terrace full sea view with sunrises. This time we were given a room in the supposedly better Wyndham resort, and whilst the gardens were picturesque the apartment was not as good. We had a one bedroom unit with full facilities but only partial sea view. The unit had no drying up towels or kitchen roll in the kitchen, just two cooking pots, no frying pan. If you were staying for a longer period this was far from ideal. The pools were nice but cold and busy. Difficult to get a lounger as all had towels on them suggesting taken??? The hotel is well situated for a short drive out to shopping and restaurants.

Recently stayed here 09.06.26 for 5 days. Wasn't expecting a 3 star hotel to have 4 possibly a 5 star hotel. The apartment was big and clean contained a dishwasher and a washing machine with dish washing tabs and washing machine tabs, all amenities for cooking and eating, and had it's own boiler so we wasn't limited in hot water, all 4 of us had hot baths/showers,. Although we was a bit of a walk from the main town the staff are so helpful in booking a taxi service for you, the restaurants were and pool amenities were very clean and looked after, and the water temperature was perfect it's wasn't freezing cold! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone whose thinking about going to Feungirola.. definitely deserves 5 stars..

The resort is lovely and has a real upmarket feel. Accomodation (Classic Style) was spacious and well situated. A little dated but we can see the units are getting a modern upgrade. The resort is amazing - big but the little train when timed was great for moving around the different bars/pools etc. It is situated just outside the town -20 min walk to the shopping centre and start of the towns bars and restaurants. Local buses are situated at the nearby Petrol Station and take you further a field. We liked the quiet and would definitely book again. I loved the heated hot tub in March. BLISS!

This is our second time staying here, but unfortunately, compared with our previous visit, we were quite disappointed with some aspects of our stay. From what I remember maybe I am wrong but there used to be a much wider selection of cocktails included in the all-inclusive package. This time, only a few cocktails were included, while even fairly basic options such as Tequila Sunrise, Aperol Spritz, Margarita and Cosmopolitan came at an additional cost. For an all-inclusive package, this really doesn’t make much sense. Towards the end of our stay, we were even served Pina Coladas without rum, and overall, we only had a few cocktails during the entire week because of the limited choice and the extra charges. Another area that could definitely be improved is the customer service at the bars. Some of the ladies and gentlemen working behind the bar did not appear particularly happy to serve customers and, on a few occasions, came across as quite rude or grumpy. Guests are paying a significant amount of money to stay here, so a friendly and welcoming attitude should really be part of the experience. Perhaps some refresher customer service training would be beneficial. That said, I would like to give special recognition to one member of staff — a shorter gentleman with longer blonde hair. He always appeared to be working extremely hard and had a fantastic attitude towards customers. He was friendly, welcoming and always smiling — exactly how customer service should be. He definitely deserves recognition for his excellent work ethic and positive attitude. Unfortunately, the rooms are also quite dated and could really benefit from some updating. There was no liquid hand soap provided, just two very small bars of soap, and the shower gel was extremely watery and felt as though it had been heavily diluted. We ended up having to purchase several basic essentials ourselves during the stay. The mini fridge in our room was also not working properly. The “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together, and there was constantly a gap between them, which was uncomfortable. The bedding material provided was also very unpleasant — it felt rough and almost plastic-like rather than soft and comfortable. we felt that the hotel has declined in certain areas. There is definitely room for improvement, particularly when it comes to the all-inclusive offering, room quality and customer service. It’s disappointing to see that the quality and what’s included in the all-inclusive package seem to have gone downhill. Three stars max we wont come back!

Should be 3***! Only for All-Inclusive familys and groups. Stayed here one night as all other hotels in the city were full and payed 150€. Yep it‘s high season but for what I got, that was too much… The positive things first: Staff was very friendly and welcoming and bed was huge in size. Room temperature was fine as well considering it’s summer. Breakfast was included with a good variety (but most of the products not fresh: Juice machine, fruits from the can). Negativities: VERY outdated and broken items in the room (see pictures!). Wifi almost not usable even for a low resolution video and very unstable. Housekeeping knocked at my door before check-out-time to clean. Worked 6 years in hospitality and they know I‘m checking out, so please wait at least til close to C/O time! Friendly conclusion: If a security guard can be hired for the party bar, there should be a budget for keeping the rooms in shape. That should be the absolute minimum if you consider beeing a 4**** hotel.

I stayed here for 9 great nights in November. I have visited this fantastic hotel many times and will continue to do so. It is excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The furnishings are dated but everything works well. The bed is comfortable. Wifi and fridge are included in the price. A small fee is charged for use of the safe. Service in all departments is very efficient, friendly and helpful. The staff are all wonderful people and are the hotel’s best asset. They are the main reason for me returning many times. I truly thank them for helping me to have another lovely holiday. I’m now looking forward to my next visit, I can’t wait.

This is a very dated hotel, I came here by myself and my room is large enough with a double bed and a balcony looking onto the pool but it is terribly dated and shabby. The bathroom has a shower over the bath but is very high up and cannot be moved down. I am only 5ft 3. The food is adequate and the entertainment is poor for anyone unless you are Spanish and it is mostly Spanish while I was there. There are a few bars nearby but no use for entertainment as there was only the football that was on offer and no shops nearby except small supermarkets or a Chinese shop and an Ale-Hop. The beach and promenade is only a few minutes walk and the bus services are good except they will pack you in like sardines ( not joking ) and they don't inform you of your destination so you have to be very vigil with that and not easy when you are standing and getting squashed to bits but there is a fantastic shopping centre about half an hour bus ride away called Miramar

David's Mojito cocktail was amazing💃🏼!!! And, of course, Felipe’s farewell with two shots of tequila gave me confidence before the flight back. 💪🏼😂😂Honestly, the entire hotel is always clean, and everything works. Nothing is broken. The restaurant doesn't have a large selection, but the quality of the food is gourmet😘!!!No frills, which I really like. The restaurant staff deserves 5 stars. 👏🏼And lastly, all rooms have a balcony and a sea view, and the sandy beach is a 3-minute walk away! I definitely recommend!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful 10-day stay with our family at Vegasol, perfectly located right on the beautiful sandy beach. The prime beachfront location made it incredibly convenient to step out directly onto the shore whenever we wanted. Our accommodation was exceptionally clean, fresh, and well-maintained throughout our entire visit. We especially loved relaxing each day while taking in the stunning coastal view. Above all, the staff were wonderfully kind, welcoming, and attentive, making our entire family holiday a flawless experience from start to finish.

Nice, no frills, basic apartment. Sunny balcony, has lovely seaview. Good location in the quieter part of fuengirola but plenty of bars/ restaurants close by. Friendly staff and resolved a problem immediately. Bus stop to busy shopping area and marina is a 3 min walk.

Absolutely Exceptional Stay - A True 5-Star Experience From the moment we arrived until checkout, everything about our stay was flawless. The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with attention to every detail that made us feel at home. Location-wise, the hotel was perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the area. What truly stood out was the genuine hospitality — it didn't feel like just another hotel stay; it felt like we were truly cared for. We left feeling refreshed, impressed, and already planning our return.

We stayed here for 6 days and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The room was fantastic, and the sea view from our balcony was absolutely spectacular — waking up to that view every day was unforgettable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, but a special shout out goes to the girls at the snack bar: Isabel, Chelo, and Carmen. They provided exceptional customer service every single day and truly made our stay even more enjoyable, especially since we spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. They always made us feel welcome and went above and beyond with their kindness and positive attitude. Highly recommend this hotel, and we would definitely come back!

One of the best four-star hotels in Los Boliches/Fuengirola. Can be a little pricey at certain times of the year but fantastic bargains can be found during off-peak months. Rooms are well furnished and clean, staff are friendly & attentive and the hotel is in a central beachfront location.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. The most upsetting part of our holiday was witnessing the way a disabled guest was treated around the pool. She was sitting on a sun lounger with her wheelchair beside her when staff asked her and her husband to move so they could take the umbrella. Her husband clearly explained that she was disabled, yet the staff continued insisting that she move. This cannot simply be dismissed as a language barrier, as her disability was obvious from both her wheelchair and her husband’s explanation. It was upsetting and completely lacking in compassion. We also experienced several issues ourselves. The door to our room was broken for the first few days of our stay. We reported it to reception, but despite being told it had been fixed, it remained broken and took several days to be repaired. When my sister asked for some drinking water, she was told to get it from the tap, despite the hotel representative advising guests not to drink the tap water. This was both confusing and unhelpful. The majority of the staff were rude, dismissive and unapproachable. The only exception was the gentleman working at the pool bar, who was consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. He was the only member of staff who made us feel valued as guests. We were also told that we were not allowed to charge our phones anywhere in the reception area. By this point, both of our phones were almost completely dead, and our boarding passes were stored on them for our journey home. It took our TUI representative stepping in and asking the reception staff before they finally agreed to let us charge them, and even then, we were only allowed to charge them behind the reception desk. Throughout this interaction, the ladies on reception were staring at us and sniggering amongst themselves. Their behaviour was unprofessional and unnecessarily upsetting, particularly for my 16-year-old sister. I travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels, but I have never been as disappointed as I was with this one. Between the poor customer service, the lack of urgency in resolving maintenance issues, and the treatment of both ourselves and another guest with a disability, this was a very negative experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, very clean , friendly staff and food was varied and good. Always managed to find a sunbed by the pool and waiter service around pool very good. We booked for accessibility facilities due to husband being a double below knee amputee and a wheelchair user. The hotel was accessible for people with mild mobility issues and prime location but not so accessible for wheelchair users and although you could get in the lifts, it was difficult to mamouvre the powerchair inside .Showers had a step to get in even in adapted rooms. The balcony on the standard room also had a step. We did manage and had a lovely holiday but if you have physical disabilities check before you book.

It is not an hotel, but appartementrentals. This means here, that it is not suitable for people with limited mobility. The elevators are too small, the rooms are too small, toilet and bed are too low etc. They were able to offer me an alternative that was possible for me, for I can take a few steps sometimes. But I do not recommend this for anyone with limited mobility. It's strange for there live many people in the building who use mobility scooters, but those stay downstairs in communal area. The location is great, you will have all you need if you have no handicaps and like the beach and nice foodrestaurants. The waterpressure of the shower was amazing on our floor. Beds are pretty hard. The airco worked great.

Great location, 5 mins from Fuengirola and plenty of nearby facilities. Nice bar and a great gym on the bottom floor of the building that does weekly passes. I was in a studio that was quite small, but clean. Stayed towards the end of August so unfortunately the apartments either side of me were fairly busy and noisy. During the day, you'll hear people moving furniture and plugging in their chargers. At night, you'll hear everything.

Really good value for money. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to everything you need—shops, transport, and attractions. The reception staff were polite and helpful from email communication through to check-in. We stayed during the low season, so I’m not sure how the noise levels are in summer. The balcony in the one-bedroom apartment with a sea view was absolutely amazing. Would definitely stay again ♥️.

This is our third visit to hotel Angela, this time for a 3 week stay. The hotel is very good, friendly hard working staff! Entertainment every night! The food was excellent with plenty of choice! The fish was superb with lots of different types throughout the weeks ! Salmon, cod, plaice, hake, perch and others! I am not a big meat eater so was happy! Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel has a heated indoor pool with steam room and sauna! Lovely area to be in! The rooms are good, we had a balcony facing west, lots of sun in afternoon! The only thing that could be improved on in my opinion is in the bathroom ? There is not a liquid soap dispenser next to the hand wash basin ? A bit strange? Also there is no storage for toiletries? Just the area around the wash basin so it gets quite cluttered ! The bathroom is a good size so there is room for some shelving or a storage unit of some description ? Looking forward to our next visit to the Angela again very soon! Sent from my iPad

Recently returned from our 10 night stay This is a wonderful hotel. The pool is great, kept really clean and has a magnificent view over the beach to the ocean. I am not much of a sun worshipper so didnt make use of the sunbeds. However, the balcony got a lot of sun in the afternoon. The staff are all really helpful and accommodating. In the food room they were happy to support my sensory needs and allow me to sit in a quieter area. Food was excellent. A great choice for both breakfast and dinner. There was also food available in the pool bars. Cocktails were good and there is a happy hour every day The rooms and balcony were exceptionally clean as were the common areas. There was both a fan and air con in the room itself. It is rare for us to return to the same hotel twice but we will definitely be returning to Hotel Angela. Thank you for a magnificent stay.

Great Hotel with very friendly staff, rooms was ideal for what we needed clean and tidy. Rooftop area was worth the money as we went up twice and enjoyed our time. Breakfast was as expected always stocked up with plenty of fresh fruit. Indoor pool area was great after being in the sun all day. Nice to have a kettle in the room with complimenty coffee and milk, teabags had no taste we bought our own. we also bought a large milk as little complimenty milk is not enough, on our last night ran out and asked at reception but because we had 4 earlier we were told we shouldn't get any more? She give us 2 but considering we hadn't been using them as we had a bottle of milk, seem a little bit petty. Told you only get 2 complimentary each day. We had on a few occasions put on our do not disturb sign on the door, so milk was not topped up, so we didn't get our 2 complimentary each day. Made our last night feel a bit naff. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone, but that you don't run out of milk, and buy some teabags for a decent cupa.

The apartments are very good, the price was very reasonable for our 3 night stay and the rooms and balcony are an excellent size. My only complaint would be there was quite a bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom but it didn't really affect us too much as we were hardly in the room and it did eventually fade by the time we got back in the evening. The rooms are a little dated but we had everything and more than we required for our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The experience at “Apartamentos La Jábega” was honestly disappointing during a 3-day stay for two people, and it did not match what was advertised or what was expected from the booking. Firstly, at the time of booking, a sea-view apartment was agreed upon. However, upon arrival, we were surprised to be given a different apartment. Although it did have a sea view, it was very far, and it was located on the first floor, which made the stay uncomfortable due to constant noise. The biggest issue was the disturbance coming from the nearby bar, where the noise continues until after midnight, making sleep and rest almost impossible, especially after a long day or travel. On another note, the reception staff were not friendly and showed a lack of interest in guests’ concerns, which created a negative impression from the very beginning. The apartment was also small compared to what was advertised and did not provide the level of comfort expected for a relaxing stay. In addition, cleanliness was not satisfactory, especially regarding some kitchen utensils, which were not properly cleaned or well maintained. Parking was also a major inconvenience, as it is very difficult to find a space during the day, adding extra stress and affecting the overall comfort of the stay. Overall, the experience was not successful at all and does not reflect what is presented in the advertisements. It is not recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and accurate booking information.

This is our 2nd time holidaying in these apartments but it's the first time when we arrived to be told Your apartments are ready but because it's before 2.30pm (we arrived 12.30) you have to pay 30 euros if you want to go into your apartments before 2.30pm, needless to say we refused & went out for lunch?? Shame really as the apartments are clean bit basic but the view from balcony is amazing

This is the first place where my wife and I stayed, on our first holiday abroad together. And thant was over 30 years ago. And then because we were just starting out, this is what the travel agents pre-booked for us within the package. And it was not the best then, but we were on our first holiday and it was an adventure. But since then it has undergone a facelift, of which unfortunately is mostly the lobby and the restaurant of which has been added. As the room was tired and could have done with a bit better uplift. But the staff were fantastic, and helpful, and the restaurant wasn't too bad food ways. But it was on the front and just across the road from the beach, and central to what we wanted, as not too far from the train station etc. And we did have a beach front room which the view was amazing.

She is working at the reception and is the sweetest and loveliest person I have ever met. I was so greatful to have her. Anything I need, I just gotta tell her and she gonna fix it for me within seconds. That’s the costumer services we all need. Thank you so much again❤️ I can highly recommend the hotel because the price and location is insane. I’m gonna come again. Don’t hesitate to book. Little note for the hotel manager: the beds really need a upgrade.

An absolutely fantastic stay. Location is amazing. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels. We had Room 212, in the 2nd building of the hotel. On the 3rd floor was a very large sunbathing area. Our flight home was very late so on check out at 11am our bags were put into a locked room. Then later in the day we were given a room to shower with fresh towels. We will be back. Great location, Hotel Villa de Laredo is a sunny, welcoming retreat in the heart of Fuengirola—just steps from the beach and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and local charm. It surprises with its impeccable cleanliness, friendly and attentive staff, and comfortable rooms (many with lovely sea-view balconies). The serene rooftop saltwater pool offers a peaceful escape with panoramic views. With daily housekeeping, secure key-card access, and helpful concierge services, this 3-star gem delivers excellent value. Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning guest, it’s a delightful, reliable choice for a seaside getaway.

Tips for Choosing the Right Beachfront Hotel in Fuengirola

Selecting the perfect hotel involves more than scanning photos of sea views. Understanding the local geography and seasonal patterns will help you match a property to your travel style, whether you are visiting for a romantic weekend or a two-week family holiday.

Consider the beach section. Fuengirola’s coastline is long, and the atmosphere changes from the lively Los Boliches area to the quieter stretch near the Sohail Castle. Families often prefer the central beaches with lifeguards and playgrounds nearby, while couples may enjoy the slightly calmer zones toward the eastern end.

Check the boardwalk access. Some hotels advertise “beachfront” but require crossing a busy road. The best properties open directly onto the pedestrian promenade, where you can walk, cycle, or push a stroller without traffic. This detail makes a significant difference for families with young children or anyone who values a peaceful morning stroll.

Look beyond the swimming pool. While a pool is lovely, the Mediterranean is the real draw. Prioritise hotels that provide beach towels, sunbed reservations, or direct sand access. A property that treats the beach as an extension of its facilities will elevate your stay considerably.

Think about dining flexibility. Half-board can be convenient, but Fuengirola’s promenade restaurants are exceptional. Consider whether you want a hotel with multiple on-site restaurants or one that lets you drift between local chiringuitos. Bed-and-breakfast or room-only rates often give you more freedom to explore the culinary scene.

Time your visit wisely. July and August bring high temperatures and lively crowds, while May, June, September, and October offer warm weather with more space on the sand. If you want a beachfront room at peak season, book several months in advance, as the best sea-view categories sell out quickly.

A beachfront stay in Fuengirola rewards those who plan with intention. The right hotel becomes a base for slow mornings, long lunches, and sunset walks along a promenade that never feels rushed. Even after many visits, the sight of the Mediterranean from your balcony retains its power to reset the mind.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on how you want to experience the coast. Whether you prefer a full-service resort with every amenity or a boutique property where the staff know your name by the second day, Fuengirola’s beachfront hotels offer a genuine sense of place that keeps travellers returning year after year.
