Standing beneath the Eiffel Tower is an unforgettable Parisian moment, but the hunger that follows a morning of sightseeing can be surprisingly intense. The area surrounding the Iron Lady is often unfairly dismissed as a culinary wasteland filled with overpriced tourist traps.
While those exist, a discerning traveler can find incredible food within walking distance if they know exactly where to look. The key to eating well in the 7th and 16th arrondissements is to venture slightly off the main thoroughfares.
You do not need to travel far to escape the crowds and find the brasseries and bistros where actual Parisians dine. From classic steak frites to innovative modern French cuisine, the neighborhood offers a diverse range of options to suit any budget or palate.
This guide focuses on restaurants that deliver consistent quality, authentic atmosphere, and genuine value. Whether you are looking for a quick bite before climbing to the summit or a leisurely three-course dinner with a view of the sparkling lights, there is a table waiting for you.
We have prioritized locations that are easily accessible on foot from the Tower, ensuring you spend less time commuting and more time enjoying your meal. We understand that dining near a major landmark can be stressful due to language barriers and time constraints.
Therefore, we have curated a list that balances convenience with culinary integrity. You will find options ranging from Michelin-starred establishments to casual cafes where you can refuel without breaking the bank.
Before diving into the specific recommendations, it is helpful to understand the rhythm of Parisian dining. Lunch service typically runs from noon to 2:30 PM, while dinner often starts at 7:30 PM. Making a reservation is highly recommended for dinner, especially during peak tourist season, to avoid being turned away.
With that in mind, prepare to discover the flavors that make this district one of the most underrated food destinations in Paris. Here are the top places to eat just steps away from the world’s most famous monument.

Surely must be the best view of the Eiffel Tower in the city. An absolutely gorgeous space looking over both the Seine and towards the Eiffel Tower.
Sai was my server and was a treat as a foreigner to recommend local spots and provide amazing service. Highly recommend!
Drinks reasonable with 5 euro shots. I didn’t eat during this visit but will absolutely be back to try the food on my next visit.
Stunning view, great vibes, good music and one of the best venues I’ve been to in Paris.

Lovely setting and the starters and dessert were good. However the duck was quite flavourless and the fries were just warm. Service felt rushed and we had to use our starter cutlery for our mains as well? Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and were a but underwhelmed sadly.

Dining at Francette was one of the highlights of our time in Paris.
The location is simply spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine that create an unforgettable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Whether for lunch, dinner, or a sunset drink, the setting is among the most beautiful in the city.
The cuisine is refined, creative, and perfectly executed. Every dish showcases high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a modern interpretation of French gastronomy. The seafood selection is particularly impressive, fresh and expertly prepared.
Service is professional, attentive, and polished, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality. The staff make guests feel welcome while maintaining the sophisticated ambiance that defines the restaurant.
What truly sets Francette apart is its unique combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and one of the most iconic views in Paris. It manages to feel both chic and relaxed, making it equally suitable for a special celebration or a memorable evening in the French capital.
A remarkable Parisian experience that I would gladly repeat.

The view of the Eiffel Tower and the atmosphere on the boat made this a really nice place to eat.
A special shout out to our waiter, Gregory, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We tried the tempura, which was good, but the crispy chicken with curry sauce was our favorite. We ended up ordering a second serving because we enjoyed it so much. The mussels were also very good, and the fresh guacamole was a nice starter. I wasn’t a fan of the signature duck entrecôte, but overall we had a good meal and would recommend this spot.

Overall a lovely meal, but the service needs a bit of work.
The food itself was brilliant. The portion sizes were excellent and everything was presented beautifully. A big shout out to the kitchen—the quality was top-notch and the dishes came out really quickly.
However, the service was a bit of a letdown. The staff were quite inattentive; I was even given a glass with a sharp, chipped edge, which was a bit dangerous. We had to ask for our drinks several times, and after requesting the dessert menu, we waited so long for someone to take our order that we eventually just gave up and left.
The atmosphere was also a bit odd because of the music. It’s a great location and you expect a proper French vibe, but they were playing American pop music which didn’t fit the setting at all.
Price-wise, we paid €180 for two adults and a child (no alcohol or dessert). For the quality of the food, I’d say that’s a very fair price.
Overall, we had a positive time, but the waitstaff definitely need to be more on the ball!

Getting here isn't straightforward: you enter from a separate side of the tower away from the main entrance, and even arriving early, expect a long line. I'd suggest arriving twenty to thirty minutes before your reservation, factoring in time to find parking if you're driving, and time to locate the right entrance if it's your first visit to the tower.
I've been twice, with quite different experiences. The first visit, gifted by my aunt, was genuinely one of the best meals of my life. I had a cold green pea soup to start, followed by beef tartare that remains, to this day, the best beef tartare I've ever had. Dessert was a choux pastry dessert alongside a yogurt-based dessert, both good. They also serve bread wrapped in a nice leather pouch, a lovely touch, though no, you don't get to keep it.
The second visit, for my husband's birthday, started strong too, smoked salmon and a tomato tart as starters, both well done. But the main course, a fish dish, was disappointing for the price. I cook fish myself, and this was closer to home cooking than I'd expect at this price point, not the exquisite experience I was hoping for after loving the tartare so much the first time. On the plus side, they brought my husband a small birthday cake with a candle, a nice personal touch.
Across both visits, the service was consistently excellent and made the whole meal feel genuinely luxurious, and the Eiffel Tower view while dining is, unsurprisingly, spectacular.
On price, expect to pay around one hundred to one hundred fifty euros per person for a full experience with wine, starter, main, and dessert.
Best for a special occasion where the view and atmosphere matter as much as the food, birthdays, anniversaries, or a one-time splurge while in Paris. I'd recommend it if you have the budget, though be aware quality can vary by dish, the tartare is exceptional, the fish less so.

Extremely NOT worth.
The food only looks good.
Tasted bland and sometimes weird.
Starters only had cold options, both options, the flavour were not balanced.
For main course, the beef I had was dry. The best thing was the mushroom.
Fish was ok but cold.
Dessert was the only thing that felt good to the stomach. Sweet and savoury.
The waiter we had, Gabriel was wonderful and handsome.
The view from window seat was good (for this view you can just buy a overpriced coffe or drink here or next door to chill instead).
Yiqing Lan★★★☆☆
My wife and I had a 6:30pm dinner session on July 3 during our vacation in Paris.
Food:
Cold soup is very interesting. It tastes ok. Meat pie is great. Green bean+sunflower seeds tastes really good. The fish is ok. However the veggie came together with the fish seems no flavor. Or it means to be. The ice cream is ok.
Service:
Frankly speaking, the service is disappointing. Our waiter constantly forgot what we ordered. For example, he forgot I ordered Coke, forgot my wife's red wine, provided wrong type of coffee, and forgot pastries. The guy is friendly. But it's not professional.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant is located at a great spot where you can oversee the city. The view is not guaranteed that means you might not sit by the window. We sat close to the window. The view is beautiful.

Dining at Madame Brasserie inside the Eiffel Tower is an experience in itself. The views overlooking Paris are beautiful, and the service throughout our lunch was warm, attentive, and professional, making the meal feel special.
The restaurant offers a **fixed lunch menu**, which includes one starter, one main course, and one dessert. Drinks are charged separately. We ordered one vegetarian menu and one non-vegetarian menu.
One thing that surprised me was the vegetarian starter. It was an **egg salad**. While I personally eat eggs, I don't consider them vegetarian, and many vegetarians don't eat eggs either. It would have been helpful if the restaurant clearly mentioned this or offered an alternative vegetarian starter for guests who don't eat eggs.
That said, the egg salad itself was fresh and well prepared. For the main course, I was served a **risotto**, which was delicious, creamy, and the highlight of my meal. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the desserts. We were served yogurt-based fruit desserts, and neither of us particularly enjoyed them.
Another thing to be aware of is the photography service. A photographer comes to your table and takes your picture. The photos are nice as souvenirs but are fairly standard and not especially professional. Initially, we were told the printed photo would cost **€20**, but later we were informed that for the same price, we could receive the digital copies by email instead, which was a better option.
### Pros
* Spectacular Eiffel Tower views
* Excellent and attentive service
* Delicious risotto
* Memorable dining experience in a unique location
### Cons
* Vegetarian menu includes eggs without a clear alternative
* Desserts were underwhelming
* Photography service is quite expensive for the quality
Kris K★★★★★
The overall experience was good. The price is quite steep for what you actually get. Worth it for the one time visit. The service was excellent; we had the pleasure of being served by Cleme. She was kind and attentive, despite it being a bit busy.

Without a doubt, the best French onion soup I had in Paris! Rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and topped with beautifully melted cheese—absolutely delicious.

On my second day in Paris my family and I decided to stop by because the view is beautiful! We were greeted delightedly by Jonathan who was also our waiter. One thing I’ll say is that Jonathan was and is amazing! He was very patient with my family and I, spoke Spanish and English to us. And even educated me on the beautiful French language! The food was also amazing! Such a refreshing experience. My father loved his breakfast so much he wanted seconds but decided not to. If my family and I ever back in Paris we will definitely stop by again! Merci! 🙂

Highly recommended, and we would love to visit again!

Salim was AWESOME! Serving. Very attentive gave great delicious suggestions as to what entrees we would like and was dead on! Their version of a Pina Cola is far better than in the USA. I greatly enjoyed the linguine in pesto first time having pesto on linguine. DELISH! We sat in the outdoor cafe area and enjoyed the sounds of the street and watching people hurrying to their destinations. Despite all the motion the cafe was chill and relaxed. Was impressed with Le Fleur matched the charm and the magic that is Paris…ask for Salim he will take GREAT care of you

Had reservation here and it was a good move as it got packed minutes after my arrival. Ordered the angus beef, fish and chips, escargot and frog legs. The steak was cooked as requested a pointe and seasoned well, my son enjoyed it and gave it a 4.5 out of 5. The frog legs were well seasoned and tender. The fish felt a bit overcooked. The escargots were cooked with plenty of butter and herbs, they came out excellent. It is not air conditioned, open restaurant, so it gets loud and it’s busy. Disappointed the duck confit was not available anymore. Overall good food and value.

I hadn’t planned to come here, but when I arrived at the restaurant that I’d chosen, it turned out that the kitchen closed three hours before closing time, but Brasserie de la Tour Eiffel was still open and serving food. I had the planche mixte for an appetizer, beef bourguignon for dinner and mi-cuit au chocolat for dessert. Everything was delicious and the server, Sandrine, was lovely. Somehow, she remembered everything I ordered without writing it down and she was very friendly. I see reviews calling it a tourist trap because of the location (right in front of the Eiffel Tower) but it’s a perfectly good place to eat that deserves extra credit for being open for late arrivals since most restaurants in the area stop cooking hours before their listed closing time. I recommend this place if you’re hungry in Paris.

A little Parisian gem near the Eiffel Tower. The coffee was excellent, and the lemon pie was perfect — the crisp meringue on top complemented the smooth lemon cream beautifully. The macarons simply melt in your mouth. The staff were very friendly and charming. A lovely spot for a sweet break — highly recommended!

One of the most uncomfortable restaurant experiences I’ve had in Paris.
When we arrived, we were initially welcomed by a waiter who was polite and ready to seat us. Before he could, a large man who appeared to be the manager interrupted by loudly yelling at both us and the waiter: “I already have four people, OK?” The tone was aggressive and completely unnecessary. We assumed he was stressed and decided to overlook it.
After we sat down, the same man came to take our order. We clearly stated that we wanted food and ordered two portions of fries. When he asked what we wanted to drink, we said water for the moment. At that point, he refused to take our order and loudly told us that if that was all we were ordering, he would make it takeaway only.
We were genuinely confused and asked whether the fries were free and whether he was actually willing to serve us or not. Instead of answering, he walked away, creating an awkward scene in front of other customers.
Thankfully, another waiter came over and handled the situation professionally. He was calm, polite, and clearly trying to repair the damage caused by his colleague. In fact, all the other staff seemed pleasant and professional. The problem was this one individual, who made the entire atmosphere tense and uncomfortable for both customers and employees.
Watching him interact with people, it felt like he was determined to humiliate customers whose order did not meet his personal standards. It was genuinely embarrassing and unnecessary. We left pretty quickly after that with the takeout fries ( he actually messed the order and gave us just one instead of two no salt nor sauce we just trew away half of it later )
If this man is the manager, he is doing a disservice to the restaurant. The other staff deserved much better representation. Experiences like this are exactly why some tourists leave France believing French people are rude and condescending.
Avoid this place if you don’t want to risk being publicly embarrassed for ordering what you want.

We made a reservation at this restaurant after a long day of walking while exploring Paris, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip!
The staff was amazing! So polite, attentive, always smiling, and with a great sense of humor that made the evening even more enjoyable.
The service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions, excellent value for money.
You should definitely give it a visit , as we sure will next time we visit Paris!

Came around 6:30 PM and was seated immediately. The crowd started to build up around 7:00 PM, and the waiting time can become quite long during peak hours. Overall, the food was delicious and well-prepared. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The atmosphere was pleasant, making it an enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend arriving a little earlier to avoid the dinner rush. Overall, a great place for a good meal.

I visited Chez Pippo with my family during our stay in Paris. We ordered the Trofie al Pesto di Pippo, which came with pesto, pine nuts and Parmesan, as well as the Tagliolini with aged Parmesan cream, mushrooms and fresh truffle.
Overall, the food was good and well presented, but to be fair, some of the flavours were not really to our personal taste. The pesto pasta was the favourite, especially with the children, and they enjoyed it. The other pasta dish looked very appealing, but the flavour was not quite what we expected and some of us did not particularly enjoy it.
This is more a matter of personal taste than saying the food was bad. The ingredients seemed good and the dishes were nicely prepared, but based on our experience, they did not fully meet our expectations in terms of flavour.
Overall, a good Italian restaurant and a decent experience, but not among our favourite meals in Paris. 4/5.

Fantastic!!! Fantastic food, fantastic staff! We enjoyed the home made pasta! It was delicious! Two of us had the Old permasian pasta with mushrooms, my hubby has the pasta with bolognese sauce. Amazing! We also enjoyed the Arugula salad. The staff speak English and are very friendly and helpful. Can recommend the meal, wine or cocktail. Selection of wines , some beers and cocktails available. Just a few steps from the Eiffel tower lawn area. After dinner we walked over to see the Eiffel tower 🗼 all lit up for the night. Definitely a great restaurant, we would highly recommend it.

We were looking for Italian food around the neighborhood, saw this place, and walked in. The pizzas were amazingly delicious!!

Everything was great, and prices were okay too. Recommended.

My husband and I were looking forward to this experience for months and we were regretably disappointed. This was not our first Michelin experience, so we had high expectations. I will end on the high notes, but first the food was beautifuly presented with flavors that were unimpressive and unremarkable. We each ordered the 5 course tasting menu for dinner. From start to finish, we hoped that dishes would become progressively better, but our experience was quite the opposite. We left most of our food on the plates and filled up on the amazing table bread and butter because they were best things about our meal. For the high notes: the service is second to none. From the minute we arrived at the base of the tower, to our elevator ride back down, we were treated with great care, attention, and kindness. The sommelier who served us was spot on with his recommendations and his knowledge was impressive. The atmosphere is lovely and our special access to see the tower from outside the restaurant was appreciated; an experience we will never forget. I will reiterate that we were looking forward to our visit to Jules Verne and expected it to be the highlight of our trip. But from our experience (June 2026), we will not return and do not recommend. Unless, of course, they served only bread, butter, and wine.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on July 31st and for this occasion, we had reserved a table at the Jules Verne.
We were expecting big ... and it has been way beyond our expectations. From the Valet to all the staff in the restaurant, every single person has been highly professional end extremely kind with us.
We chose the 7 course menu as ... when there, the experience has to be lived 100%.
One dish after the other, we could feel all the different tatstes proposed and feel the construction of the menu: by this I mean, tastes were growing, dish after dish, until we reached a pick, then a plateau before having the deserts. It was truly wisely made and we enjoyed every single bite of it.
And it has been an explosion of tastes,
In addition, we followed the advice of the sommelier and enjoyed a young Chassagne Montrachet 1st cru: a true wonder.
We finished with a surprise (Thanks so much for this), once again being an explosion of tastes ...
Last but not least, for this special occasion, the staff put us on a window table witha view on the city. We could see the light changing, the night arriving and the tower sparkling 3 times.
Overall, we stayed 4 hours in the Jules Verne: 4 hours which felt no time at all and which will remain forever our heads and in our hearts.
Thank you Chef Anton for what you have created.
Thank you staff for your kindness and your professionalism!

A truly unforgettable experience!!! OMG! well worth it if one is prepared for the indulgence (* $1,500++ for two). After all, dining atop the Eiffel Tower is something many would dream of experiencing at least once. I know I was.
We made our reservation nearly three months in advance, which speaks to both the exclusivity and demand of this unique experience.
The breathtaking views, impeccable service, and overall ambiance made the evening exceptionally memorable. While, humorously, we found ourselves a bit hungry an hour later, the experience itself far outweighed that minor detail.
From a culinary perspective, some courses were outstanding, while others were less remarkable. However, we approached the evening with the understanding that it was as much about the experience as it was about the cuisine, and in that regard, it was entirely worthwhile.
I’ll let the visual presentation of the eight-course menu speak for itself.

A truly memorable dining experience at Jules Verne. The service was exceptional throughout the evening—attentive, professional, and warm without ever being intrusive. Every dish was executed at a consistent two-star Michelin level, showcasing precision, balance, and outstanding ingredients. The langoustine course was the standout of the meal and, in my view, worthy of three-star recognition on its own. The wine and Champagne selection is extensive and carefully curated, offering excellent choices for every palate, although prices are undeniably on the higher side. Combined with the unique setting, it all comes together to create a truly special and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
Dina El Banna★★★★★
Dining at Le Jules Verne was easily the most memorable culinary experience of my life. From the warm reception at the elevator to the final bite, the service was impeccable. We originally booked "À la Cove"—a cozy spot overlooking the tower's machinery—as it was the only seating available on short notice. Tip: Book more than two weeks in advance if you want the main dining room.
However, the staff truly went above and beyond. After I contacted them, they promised to try and move us, and they delivered! We enjoyed appetizers in the cove and moved to a table with a stunning panoramic view of Paris for our mains and dessert. The hospitality here is the gold standard.
Though we intended to have the 5-course menu, we upgraded to the 7-course—a must-do! Chef Frédéric Anton’s langoustine and turbot featured flavor combinations unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It was a creative, fun, and delicious journey. Le Jules Verne is truly the pinnacle of French culinary art in the world’s most iconic landmark.

This place isn’t really about the food. The food was average—not terrible, but definitely not something I would call good.
Starting with the French fries, they were completely soaked in oil with absolutely no crispiness. We also ordered the beef bourguignon, which was surprisingly sour and lacked any noticeable seasoning or depth of flavor.
That said, the location is truly exceptional. The view is stunning, and for that reason alone I’d recommend visiting. It’s a peaceful spot right by the river, and from the terrace you get a beautiful view of the tower. If you’re looking for a relaxing place with great scenery, it’s well worth a visit—just don’t come expecting memorable food.

Wow, just wow ! A phenomenal food experience and superb service. Our server Fler was exceptional. We booked this place because the menu, the setting, the area just spoke to us ! Its a 3 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower (in which the view was gorgeous and barely anyone around for photos). The food was outstanding! Every single bite was an experience, in the best way ! Fler was sweet, funny and welcome as was the other staff members. We sat inside for our meal and they kept us a spot open so we could tick off our bucket list item of seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle and the came back to a warming beautiful Hot Chocolate- better than the viral ones on TikTok... this is the place that should be celebrated ! Fler also stood outside with us to help get our Uber right. One of our new favourite places !

What stood out most was our waiter Thomas — he was very nice, professional, and genuinely funny. He made the whole evening more fun and relaxed.
Solid traditional French spot with great service. Would happily go back.

My wife and I had a 7 hour layover at CDG so we decided to "swing by Paris" for a couple of hours and have lunch. We chose Amours based on the good reviews and we're so glad we did!
Our server was Thomas, and if I'm being perfectly honest, he was one of the biggest reasons for this 5 star review. What great service! He came out singing, making jokes, and just putting us in such a fantastic mood. He knew the menu perfectly and he gave us great recommendations.
I had the duck confit which was sooooo good! I definitely recommend this dish. It has so much flavor! My wife had the fish and we also had creme brulee, a cheese croissant, some espresso, and a few drinks. Everything was excellent.
The location is great as well. A beautiful side street very close to Champ de Mars. This was literally our only meal in all of France, ever, so I can't say whether the good is authentic French or not, but the other reviews seem to agree that it is. What I can say is that it's very good quality with beautiful presentation, and the staff is top notch!! Very much worth visiting!
Pro Tip: They have an excellent French IPA on tap which was a great bonus.

A fantastic dining experience from start to finish! A huge thank you to our server, Thomas, who went above and beyond to make our afternoon so special. The service was exceptional - he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our meal.
The food was delicious, and when we mentioned it was my cousin's birthday, Thomas kindly surprised us by placing a candle in the pizza, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us all smile.
Thank you to Thomas and the rest of the team for your wonderful hospitality. You made our very first meal in Paris one we'll always remember. Highly recommended!

Place has amazing food that is very well made French foods. With many of the classics like frog and beef, all of which is better with some of the nicest wine paring. But by far the location and perpendicular view of the Eiffel Tower makes it one of the best restaurants right next to the Eiffel Tower.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate outside with views of the Eiffel Tower. It was such a great experience! The food was small portions but excellent. We shared a meal but the portion was so small we should habe each gotten a dish. We got dessert which was wonderful. The view...SPECTACULAR.

Literally in the shadow of the Eiffel tower, this restaurant offers a small but worthy selection of starters, mains and desserts that can satisfy even demanding customers. The service is quick and kind and the atmosphere reasonably welcoming but somehow the whole things combined do not manage to overcome the feeling of not being in a special and sophisticated place. The Michelin mention is nevertheless well deserved and the selection of wines includes some important names at a very reasonable price: definitely worth experiencing.
Special mention for the souffle: the real five stars entry in the menu!

The restaurant has an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower so if the weather is great, choose to eat on the patio. The food were also amazing!! Fried snails (peel off shell ) with chorizo, Confit Duck Parmentier, Parsley Sauce, soufflé with raspberries

Incredible view of the Eiffel Tower; we had the set menu with a starter, main course, and dessert for 38 euros. I recommend this place!

Proposed today and all my research said that this would be the best place for an engagement dinner. Price wasn’t an object as it is a very special night. 80’s style solarium ….. with a view …. But it’s not great. The manager was very nice and gave us a great table. Most tables do have a good “view”, albeit obstructed behind beams and 80s glass. Wine menu lacks the dynamic depth a wine lover would want, just full of pretentiousness. Sommelier, forgot to come back as promised to put together a pairing. Not even the courtesy of table cloths, just brown Formica fake wood. Food was decent but for Paris I have had twice as good for half the price. Honestly I was embarrassed and couldn’t wait to get out. Luckily my bride to be appreciated the sentiment and being together. I am sad to say it was overrated

Amazing Experience, rooftop view of Eiffel Tower and amazing courses on the summer menu. Very accommodating for Gluten-free/Celiac dining! Reserve well in advance. Staff is all friendly and attentive. They spoke excellent english but this is a courtesy as this is France.

past its prime. Elegant venue with view of Eiffel Tower (its main attraction now); well prepared but boring small meals, off hand service. No longer accepts Amex. the terrace is now a champagne bar and the outer terrace now prohibited to diners. (formerly one of the key attractions of a visit here). Romantic dining, and probably still worth a visit but definitely a shadow of its 2016 or 2023 self when we dined before.

Great restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food came out pretty quickly. The portions were generous, and the pasta with prosciutto was definitely the highlight — super creamy and flavorful.
Highly recommended! The prices are totally reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, as well as the lovely atmosphere.

Knowledgeable, efficient and friendly service. Gorgeous above the Paris rooftops views and of course, the iconic Eiffel Tower , from a chic and well appointed terrace. The terrace opens at 14h for cocktails. Restaurant loses a star due to insufficient a/c. Most everyone fine with it, probably because France dislikes using it…hope they figure it out. It’s been tropical temps! Loved it anyway and had a great time. Bring a fan.

Food was delicious, ambiance is exactly what a Parisian night should be and Alexis’ service was fantastic as well! He also recommended some fantastic wines to go with our meal and truly made the meal that much better. Absolute recommend especially for a wonderful dinner by the Eiffel Tower. Everyone was very nice and helpful with my 1-year old as well.

Our first dinner in Paris as an engaged couple, and it couldn’t have been more lovely. ❤️ The food was absolutely delicious, and special thanks to Alexandre and the entire team for the warm, attentive, and accommodating service. Watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle made the evening even more magical and memorable. A beautiful Parisian experience! 🇫🇷✨

Overrated for a Michelin restaurant.
Pictures are chef’s welcoming dish (crostini with lemon mousse and terrine).
We ordered terrine accompanied by the caramelized onion which was good.
Main course was beef bourguignon that was good, not really any special touch to it in my opinion and rib eye steak with extra (€18) duck foie gras. The steak was very dry and plain to the point that we had to add some flavours from the bourguignon sauce.

Fabulous meal - one our best in Paris! Sea bream was catch of the day and was amazing, beef was so tender, no knife needed. Profiterole SO good - truly everything we had was wonderful and the service was friendly and very (but not too) attentive. Not to mention the fabulous view, you really can’t go wrong with this place.

Had a wonderful dining experience here with friends. Food was beautiful and delicious. Great wine selection. Lovely decor. If you eat outside you will have a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. (Sadly it was too cold for us to eat outside.)

We booked the Eiffel Tower experience and were seated at a lovely table outside with a beautiful view, which definitely made the setting special.
Our waiter, Darius, was exceptional, very kind, attentive, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service from the rest of the team was noticeably slower. When we first arrived, no one came over to explain how the experience worked, so we were a little unsure of what to expect.
The starters were okay, but the main courses were delicious. We had the salmon with vegetables and the veal with mashed potatoes, and really enjoyed both. The dessert was also good.
We ordered a bottle of wine, but not once did a server come over to refill our glasses, so we ended up pouring the wine ourselves throughout the meal. Considering the experience costs €190 per person, excluding alcohol (expect for a glass of champagne), you would expect a much higher and more consistent level of service. At this price point, small details like explaining the experience upon arrival and keeping guests’ glasses topped up should really be standard.
We enjoyed the evening overall, but for €190 per person, the experience did not quite live up to the level of service we expected.

Very overpriced, a bit tacky. The food was surprisingly great. We had several dishes and all were delicious, which is so very rare. We were a bit worried about the fact that it seemed extremely touristy; we also thought it was a more formal space but it’s very very casual. The ambiance and decor was unfortunately a bit tacky, and the tables outside are very close together. The Eiffel tour view is amazing, but the same as you would have just walking in the same area without entering the restaurant. The service was very friendly but we had booked for the 75E/pp experience only to be charged at the end for the 120E/pp experience and told that’s what we received when we assumed we had received what we had booked for. We would’ve been more than happy to forego any additions had we been informed from the start that they were upgrading us from what we wanted. The front row seating is not worth it! The terrace seats have the exact same view and are very close behind. I’d recommend this place for a casual walk-in if you’re visiting the museum but not worth booking any experience or prioritizing in your paris visit.

The view was stunning! We got a great table and had very kind and welcoming waiters. The food took a little while to come to our table so service was a bit slow, but we didn’t mind because we got to enjoy the view and the experience for longer and take great pictures in the meantime. Food was great and delicious, portions could be a bit bigger. Overall the experience is pricey but very enjoyable, we had a wonderful time and would recommend if you’re looking for a special, classy, romantic and beautiful place for dinner.

We went there for new year’s lunch. Even though we had a reservation there was a delay and were understaffed so we had to wait for almost half an hour before we were seated. The food however made up for it completely. We ordered the Angus and it was really tasty. One of the best foods we had in Paris. Great wine. Great service and an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. The people were extremely kind and friendly, they let us go outside and take photos even thought their shift had ended and we were the last table to be served before lunch cutoff. Highly recommend.

Cafe De L'Homme
There are many places that offer unobstructed views of the Tower De Eiffel, however Cafe De L'Homme has a Lunch Set that comes with a glass of NV Champagne Charles Hiedsieck and a second glass of House Red/White. Of course, I was sold by that.
-Sea bream sashimi, cucumber, fennel,
Château d’Estoublon olive oil, puffed rice wafer.
- Smoked Veal, roasted and puréed Camus artichoke, red wine duck jus
-Truffle-infused pasta risotto-style, mushroom and aged parmesan
-Frozen nougat, Genoa cake, floral honey espuma.
Charles Hiedsieck went perfectly with the sea bream sashimi. Saint Victor Chardonnay brought out the aromas and saltiness of the parmesan pasta together with the woody notes of mushroom. Saint Victor Pinot Noir worked nicely with the Veal without being too overpowering. Nougat was refreshing, which we finished before it melted in the intense heat. Albeit the massive heat wave here, bringing temperatures up to 34 degrees, it was still a pleasurable experience.
Tips for Dining Near the Eiffel Tower
Navigating the restaurant scene near a major tourist hub requires a bit of strategy to ensure you get the best experience possible. The area is dense with options, but not all of them are created equal. By following a few simple guidelines, you can avoid the common pitfalls of overpriced menus and mediocre food while maximizing your time and budget.
1). Avoid restaurants with “menu touristique” signs
These establishments often cater to one-time visitors and do not rely on repeat business, which can lead to lower quality ingredients and inflated prices. Instead, look for menus written only in French or those that feature seasonal specials, as these are typically aimed at the local clientele who demand higher standards.
2). Make reservations for dinner, especially on weekends
The neighborhood is residential, and the best tables fill up quickly with locals. A quick phone call or an online booking through platforms like TheFork can save you from a long wait. If you are visiting during the summer or around major holidays, booking a day or two in advance is essential.
3). Embrace the early bird or late dinner schedule
If you want a quieter experience, consider dining at 7:00 PM when many restaurants open, or wait until after 9:00 PM when the first seating has finished. Eating at these times allows for more attentive service and a more relaxed atmosphere, away from the rush of tourists trying to catch the sunset.
4). Look for fixed-price lunch menus (formules)
If you want to experience fine dining near the Tower without the hefty dinner price tag, lunch is your best friend. Many high-end restaurants offer a two or three-course lunch menu for a fraction of the dinner cost. This is the smartest way to taste Michelin-level cooking on a mid-range budget.
5). Check the view versus the value
Restaurants with a direct line of sight to the Eiffel Tower often charge a premium for the view, sometimes at the expense of the food quality. If the view is your priority, go for a drink or coffee rather than a full meal. For dinner, prioritize the quality of the kitchen over the view, as you can always walk to the Champ de Mars for a free view after your meal.
The area surrounding the Eiffel Tower is far more than a stopover for hungry tourists; it is a vibrant culinary neighborhood waiting to be explored. By stepping away from the immediate perimeter and seeking out the establishments favored by locals, you open yourself up to the true spirit of Parisian hospitality.
Whether you choose a rustic bistro serving hearty classics or a sleek modern eatery pushing culinary boundaries, your meal here can be as memorable as the monument itself. Take your time, savor the atmosphere, and let the flavors of the 7th arrondissement enhance your Parisian adventure.
