Finding the right place to stay in Paris can transform a simple sightseeing trip into a seamless family adventure. When you are traveling with children, proximity to major attractions, easy metro access, and family-sized rooms become non-negotiable priorities. Nestled in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, the Musée d’Orsay is a cultural crown jewel, but its surrounding neighborhood also happens to be one of the most practical and elegant bases for a family vacation.
The area around the former Beaux-Arts railway station offers a unique advantage: it is centrally located yet feels less frenetic than areas near the Champs-Élysées or the Louvre. You are within strolling distance of the Tuileries Garden, the Seine riverbanks, and several excellent brasseries that welcome little ones. Staying here means you can easily pop back to the hotel for an afternoon nap or a quick reset before heading out again.
However, "family-friendly" in Paris does not always mean the same thing it does in North America or the UK. European hotel rooms can be notoriously compact, and connecting rooms or suites that comfortably sleep four people require careful research. You need to look for properties that offer not just cribs, but genuine space, bathtubs for toddlers, and staff who are genuinely warm toward younger guests.
Noise is another factor to consider. While you want to be close to the action, a room facing a busy boulevard can disrupt light sleepers. The best family hotels in this district often feature interior courtyard rooms or high-quality double-glazed windows that block out the early morning delivery trucks and late-night scooters.
Beyond the physical room, the true mark of a family-friendly establishment lies in the details. Does the breakfast buffet include hot chocolate and pastries that will entice a picky eater? Does the concierge know where to rent a stroller or find a late-night pharmacy? These are the questions that separate a standard hotel from a sanctuary for traveling parents.
In this guide, we have curated a selection of accommodations that excel in comfort, location, and service for families. Whether you are looking for a luxury palace experience or a charming boutique hideaway, you will find an option that fits your budget and your crew’s needs.
Below, you will find our top recommendations for family-friendly hotels located within walking distance or a very short metro ride from the Musée d’Orsay.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The location is excellent—you can easily reach all the main attractions either on foot or by bicycle. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful.
Our room and bathroom were quite spacious. A huge plus was the smart TV, which allowed us to watch YouTube and stream shows online—a great feature that not many hotels offer. We didn’t need to use the air conditioning, as we happened to leave just as the hot weather kicked in.
I’m already missing those beautiful evening strolls along the Seine! :)"

Spent 10 nights there in April. Wish we had discovered this hotel sooner. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet. Location was so convenient to where we wanted to explore. I really hope to return.

Hello, We (my sister and I) had a delightful stay. The room was lovely (the refrigerator did not keep our cokes cold), the bathroom was great, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The physical location was close to shopping, several local cafes, and local transportation options. The staff was lovely!🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
My only complaint was that the room faced the street and the last evening the room was warmer than I'd like. I had the window open and at 12AM it was still rather loud outside, so I had to close the windows to get some rest for my early departure. I realize that this is out of your control, but I felt it important to mention.

This hotel was perfect. We stayed 2 nights but are already planning a return trip. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. There is a small elevator. Our room’s ac was powerful although we were not in Paris for the heatwave thankfully. Great location, walkable anywhere really, with a ton of restaurants nearby. Friendly front desk folks.

Good location, close to popular tourist sites such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. Staff was very nice and friendly and the hotel was clean. Elevator (Lift) was small, so something to consider if you require an elevator. Since we were on the 3rd floor, the stairs were manageable when we didn't have to carry luggage.

Lovely hotel! So beautiful and lovely vibe. Costumer service is best ever! Breakfast is good. I love the coffee! Everything is so easy, we just enjoy every moment. Hotel is in the good part of the city, it easy to go everywhere from here. I recommend ❤️
P.s: hotel staff helped us a lot with reservations and helped to found great places. Thank you ❤️

A charming, classic hotel tucked away on a quiet street, yet conveniently connected by several bus lines. Standard rooms are on the smaller side, as one might expect in the heart of Paris. The staff are exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help us find a dry cleaner after a minor mishap. Breakfast is served across two beautiful vaulted cellars—make sure to visit both, or you’ll miss half the buffet. Fresh, well-brewed coffee is served directly at your table.

Lovely, quaint, and on a small, quiet side street on block from St. Germaine. Great location. We walked everywhere except when we visited Montmartre.

Lovely property; service felt rigid, not guest-focused
UPD: management answer only confirms my point: customer service is, unfortunately, nowhere close to 4 stars.
Original review below:
I booked a non-refundable rate and accepted I’d forfeit the night I couldn’t use. My feedback is about how my request to move one prepaid night to a later date was handled. I wasn’t asking for a straight rebooking - even a small gesture (credit toward the new date, a breakfast/F&B voucher, or a reasonable change fee) would have shown goodwill. Instead, I was told to rebook via Booking.com with no discussion of alternatives or explanation of constraints. We were prepared to vacate early to help housekeeping, but staff showed no interest.
Minor notes: an unlabeled charge for in-room peanuts and unclear advice about “marked” parking (it’s regular street parking and was full). Charming place, rigid service. 2/5

Hotel location and Saint Germain area is perfect for visiting many places of interest. The hotel was exceptional. Quiet street. Beautiful decor. Lovely room. The staff were very professional, polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent and served in the charming cellar room.

Had a fabulous time! We would recommend for many reasons: quiet street, one block from Seine, walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Seine, and a little farther from the Louvre & Notre Dame but still walkable. Hotel is very nice and accommodating. Excellent communication and amenities! Clean rooms, good layout for bathroom with separate toilette room. The lobby also has toilettes for guests. We love the spiral staircase, two elevators and the lobby. The music in the lobby is a nice touch!
Laura Furcron★★★★★
I loved our stay here! The staff was amazing—professional and super helpful. The little touches made it even better—- handwritten note and chocolates. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was fantastic. It was on the more expensive side but worth it!

We had such a wonderful time with the hotel!
The staff (Kateryna) is amazing, friendly and they gifted us a free champagne since it’s my husband’s birthday.
The location is great, short walk to the museum and also a really good restaurant Les Antiqures, the bridge and also to Lon Bon marche area.
Everything is fantastic, and we highly recommend this!

The rooms are spacious, there is a bathtub, and shower (which is small). The lobby is beautiful. The front desk makes this great hotel outstanding, Anna Lise and Katerina have been wonderful, thank you for the tips, the recommendations, and your kindness.

We had a 4 night stay here and can honestly say it is one of the nicest hotels we have visited.
The room was clean, comfortable and well sized. It included a bath in the ensuite which was nice too.
The breakfast buffet which was included in our stay had a great choice of cereals, cold meats, breads, cheeses and drinks which would cater to all tastes.
The location was excellent for tourists, being close to museums, tourist attractions, and two stations (one Metro, one RER). It was very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go.
Last, but definitely not least, the staff of the hotel were lovely. They were friendly, helpful and obliging and provided great advice for us as first time visitors to Paris.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and, if this level of service is indicative of the Esprit de France brand, their other hotels must be just as good.

Such a fun way for 4 people to share a room. Really friendly staff who helped with our early check in and making us feel welcome, and same with checking out and offering to hold our luggage for the day. There was also a free mini bar included and roof windows for ventilation. The location is excellent with the louvre only 10 minutes away and lots of cafes and restaurants surrounding it. All for a very reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was great! The location was optimal especially for a first timer in Paris. Super close to the metro and the Louvre/champs elysee ! Rooms are a little on the smaller side but was still manageable.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was extremely convenient for our itinerary. Most major attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and the Pantheon, were around €15 by Uber, while the Louvre and Palais Garnier were within walking distance.
The atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a deluxe room, which offered enough space even though we had an extra suitcase for our pre-wedding photoshoot, including a wedding gown and evening dresses. Considering the price, the amenities were very satisfactory, including the hairdryer and WiFi. The room was also very clean, and we did not experience any noise issues during our stay.
The highlight, however, was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our stay. They were also willing to assist us via WhatsApp, which made communication much easier and removed any language barrier. This was especially valuable, as communication in French had been one of the more challenging parts of our trip.
Overall, I would certainly choose this hotel again if I return.

This hotel is in a very safe area. We walked back to the hotel around midnight, and even as late as 1 a.m., and the streets always felt very safe. Everyone who works at the hotel, from the receptionists and housekeeping staff to the ladies preparing breakfast, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small but very clean, which I guess is pretty common for hotels in Europe! Overall, we had a great experience and I’d give this hotel 5/5.

This property was extremely well located, clean, and beautifully maintained. We were shown great hospitality during out stay, and the owners and staff were helpful before we arrived with arranging car transfers and restaurant reservations. Our Superior room was spacious and had all of the comforts of home. I would absolutely stay here again. The air conditioning worked great and was very welcome during a warm summer stay.

Hotel Signature Saint Germain provided a wonderful, highly personalized experience in the heart of Saint Germain. From the moment we booked our rooms they were extremely helpful in securing drivers, tour guides, and restaurant reservations- doing their best to ensure a wonderful experience in Paris. We had a wonderful stay at this chic, boutique hotel. The staff were warm and inviting, particularly Manuela who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. The beds and pillows were the best I've experienced at a hotel and the central location is a perfect jumping off point to explore the city. The only negative experience was having to leave.

Amazing stay at Relais Du Louvre! The customer service was exceptional, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms were beautiful with a charming boutique feel, and everything was clean and well maintained. The elevator was surprisingly great (a nice bonus in Paris!), and the air conditioning worked phenomenally, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is fantastic and made it easy to explore the city. The only minor downside was that the shower was a bit small, but it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

We stayed here in the summer of 2023 and It keeps recurring to me how well this hotel established our stay, and set the stage for a wonderful vacation week in Paris. We travelled as a family of four. The hotel facility was lovely- it did not appear corporate; rather it was a smaller hotel with great personalized service. The breakfast baskets in the morning were high quality and adorable. The accommodations were both modern and traditional, and well planned. But what I most remember were the lovely staff at the front desk. They were so dedicated to helping us plan our week- it felt like they were constantly at work to make sure we were able to enjoy ourselves both in the hotel, and with the activities we planned. The warmth of their dedication to their guests was so meaningful to us, and really filled us with happiness an made our trip special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Harold Bien★★★★★
First time in Paris and this tiny hotel located right next to the Louvre with the Eiffel tower visible just several steps towards the Seine, an old cathedral adjacent and visible from our window. Great personal service in this cozy hotel where your are always personally greeted. The windows open to the fresh air. While there is traffic along the Seine, the rooms itself is usually quiet even with the windows open and you are not blasted by the sounds of traffic.
Breakfast, which is extra at $16€ per person is delivered to your room. It was delicious with the usual croissants, baguette, optimal yogurt, choice of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and fresh squeezed juice. Turns out there was too much food for us to eat. Conveniently located right next to the Point Neuf metro station and easily walkable from Les Halles station which connects to the Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) via the rail (RER). Took us about 1 hour to slowly walk to the Eiffel tower with plenty of stops along the way. The room was spacious enough for the two of us and our 10 year old child. The building itself is rather old but this adds to the charm and there are no visible deficiencies.

Boutique Historic Hotel in the 1st, walk around the corner and you're at the Louvre or the Pont Neuf bridge, Metro and bus also. Walk to the Isle & Notre Dame. I love the view of the rooftops out the window, which not only has a privacy shade but also a Blackout Shade in case you want to sleep in. The Hotel Site has pictures of the bedside and the non-working fireplace which is a nice aesthetic however I thought I would add the other views of the room that I enjoyed. The benefit of the elevator is terrific and it fit my husband myself and our 2 carry on suitcases, we also enjoyed taking the stairs a couple times even if we were on the 6th floor- I love a circular staircase. Room 62 fantastic. has to be the best location and well worth the price. If you have a morning breakfast it's wonderful in your room to have time to get ready and then go out for the day. There's actually enough croissant or bread and ham and cheese to take yourself a little snack for the day. The only negative for room 62 would be if you have some mobility issue and can't step into a high bathtub. The bath has the European shower and half glass. the private toilet area is very nice with the built-in bidet and heated seat. Very nice on a cold morning. The people are so wonderful and helpful it makes the perfect location even better.
Jeff Savarino★★★★★
Located right across the street from the louvre. Located right near the metro, walking distance to many attractions such as the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are comfortable albeit on the tighter side (standard European room).
I can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They are accommodating, kind, and lovely to interact with. They truly do go above and beyond making us feel welcome and ensuring that we enjoy our stay with them.

We picked the Dauphine Saint Germain hotel based upon its location and reasonable price - so glad we made that choice! First, the hotel is in the heart of the Left Bank with the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Musée d'Orsay, Latin Quarter, and Luxembourge Garden all within a short walk. Saint Germain is a happening street, lively until the wee hours.
Our clean room faced the courtyard, thus extremely quiet and peaceful. This was important to us after the chaos of the city. All members of the staff were kind and helpful. Example: We asked to check in very early (before noon). They couldn't promise, of course, yet our room was available when we arrived - outstanding! The hotel had a cozy bar which is open 24/7 where we could chat with other guests.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay in January at the Hotel Dauphine. Staff are attentive and available, competent and courteous. They were always available to answer questions. Rooms are clean and bathrooms recently remodeled. Breakfast is high quality and has some hot offerings which is rare for a smaller hotel. One of the best things about this hotel is the location. You can reach multiple museums and monuments on foot quickly. Neighborhood restaurants are historic and delicious. Great for people wanting to hit tourist attractions but also get some of the local shopping and cafe lifestyle.
Joanna Vasquez★★★★☆
We are so happy we booked this hotel. I was greeted by a lovely concierge who was extremely helpful upon arrival. My room was actually ready early morning and was given the opportunity to check in early! The small twin room was really cute and very in the style of Parisian decor, dark wood beams, exposed, beautiful blue, and white tapestries walls with a French country theme. It had a sitting desk that also housed the television and the teapot. Loved the little detail of the tea pot to make tea in the room, as well as the variety of teas provided. It also had a small wardrobe where I was able to hang up my coats which helped with the organization of the room since it was two of us splitting it. My cousin and I both loved how comfortable the bed was and the beautiful tub. I will say that if you are a person who struggles with stepping in and out of things, maybe the bathrooms aren’t for you, but we loved the tub. The bathroom also had a blow dryer, which was an awesome perk. We saw that they served breakfast every morning although we didn’t try it. It looked like a good mix of pastries, yogurts, fruits, and charcuterie. They do offer hotel guests, free coffee, and water throughout the day, which is another great perk. Also, the location was wonderful. We were about 20-30 minutes walking to many Paris notable places. The street the hotel sits on also has a good choice of restaurants and shops. Overall, I’m very content with this hotel.
Meredith Huffman★★☆☆☆
I checked out today and went back and reviewed what I originally booked. A superior double. I am giving this two stars because our room did not match the photos online. The online pictures had far bigger windows and a larger desk and a larger bathroom.
There are a few things that come with an older hotel that is just how it is, not affecting my review: you can hear all intimate details from your neighbors, the shower, and room was small, things a little older. The shower temperature was unable to hold a steady temp and would jump between cold and hot.
But for $350 a night there are a few things that could improve the experience for guests. The mattress was cheap and sagged. The pillows were well past their prime, flat and uncomfortable. The shower head was so small it would only get part of you wet, high efficiency larger shower heads is a simple swap. The towels were cheap and scratchy. In the shower itself it was a 3x3 stall with a cheap curtain, it only had a body wash/shampoo combination in a single bottle, no conditioner, no body lotion.
I did not raise my concerns with the front desk because these issues are for the managers to solve, not the desk.
I liked the location, but would not stay here again.
Savitri Wilder★★★★★
My little Yorkie and myself had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I was travelling solo and the room was more than enough for us.
I was on the first floor with view to another building, which was fine because it meant quietness. The room and bathroom was very clean, there is a small refrigerator and also a tea/coffee making station.
The hotel is very close to a metro station and different cafes and restaurants. The street stays busy until late and as a solo female traveller, this is a plus. But in general, it’s a nice safe area where you can use public transport or walk to many sites.
I would stay here again if in Paris.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent - right by Boulevard Saint-Germain, feeling very safe, with plenty of restaurants nearby and metro stations within a relatively short walk. We also used the hotel's airport shuttle service, which was a very pleasant and smooth experience. Highly recommended!

We genuinely enjoyed our 4-night stay in Paris—this hotel was even more beautiful in person. The rooms and bathrooms were a great size, and we especially appreciated the rain shower and very comfortable bed. The AC worked well, which made a difference. Daily breakfast was a lovely way to start each morning, and the lobby and dining areas are absolutely beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. The neighborhood felt safe and was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see—truly a perfect location. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for your stay.
Diana Marsh★★★★★
This was a wonderful hotel. Very friendly people working there that were super helpful with whatever questions we had. The location is nice, not on too large a thoroughfare so it wasn't too loud. The AC was working (and works well!) back at the end of May which was great as there was a massive heatwave. They were doing construction down in the pool area but that will be lovely once complete. Breakfast was nice too, though we only opted for it one day. The only downside was the tub was a bit slippery so when stepping in to take a shower I hit my knee on the side, but just something to be careful of! The room was beautiful.
Andrea Christelle★★★★★
A perfect Paris base for art and culture lovers. We stayed in a Junior Suite with the museum package and breakfast, and it delivered on every front.
The location is outstanding and incredibly convenient to both the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. We used the museum pass to also visit Napoléon's Tomb at Les Invalides and the Rodin Museum, making the package genuinely excellent value.
The hotel itself is lovely in every sense. The famous Les Deux Magots is right around the corner on Boulevard Saint-Germain. The Junior Suite was beautifully appointed with good air conditioning and the kind of room you're happy to return to after a long day on your feet. Breakfast was fabulous, and sets you up for a full day of exploring.
The staff deserve a special mention because every one was charming, helpful, and responsive morning or night. They clearly take pride in the guest experience. Their English was perfect and they kindly helped us practice our French.
One practical tip: arrange your own airport transfers or just use a French taxi. This is a small footnote to an otherwise wonderful stay.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting a beautiful, well-located Paris hotel with genuine warmth and style.

We adore this charming hotel, it is our home away from home in Paris. The location is great.

The manager, Patricia and her team greets us like old friends, we are always happy to return.
The breakfast is wonderful, from fresh orange juice, to bread & croissants, and my favorite scrambled eggs, especially when Anna makes them.
We highly recommend.

The hotel is at great location. Great breakfast. Nice staff.
Only situation is that the air conditioner never worked.
We were lucky enough that only one day was hot and employees just recommend to open the windows. They Didn’t do anything to make air conditioner work in 10 days.
In these days (june-july 26) would be impossible to stay in that room.
Take that in account if you go in summer.
Leo Rocha★☆☆☆☆
Booked through Booking.com expecting the room shown in the photos. What we got was a box with a fan on a 33-degree day, zero mention of no air conditioning at check-in, and zero action after complaining to reception twice. The staff played dumb the whole time, pretending nothing was wrong so they wouldn’t have to deal with it. When we pushed harder, the first receptionist claimed the entire hotel had no AC. That was a lie. A second receptionist later admitted it was our room only. Meanwhile, the reception desk itself was perfectly air conditioned. We paid full price for a room that wasn’t fit for the conditions, with staff who lied to our faces rather than fix the problem.
The photos are heavily edited. The rooms are small. Before you book: call ahead and confirm your room has AC. Don’t trust the listing. Don’t trust the photos. And if you need basic comfort in a Paris heatwave, look elsewhere.

Great location but the queen room we got was very small for two people. We only have carry-on baggage so expect to be tight for space if you have any large suitcases. Area felt very safe, easy to get around with metro nearby, lots of asian restaurants around. Breakfast was not worth the 17 euros per person but in a pinch before heading out was handy, we paid for the convenience of breakfast I guess. Just meh for a fairly expensive stay for our 2 nights there.

We had a wonderful stay at Un Lit au Pré with my sons. 🌿
A true escape, peaceful and surrounded by nature. The concept is original, the accommodation is comfortable and very well-equipped, and the setting is simply magnificent.
The children loved being so close to the animals and enjoying the wide open spaces. It's the perfect place to create beautiful family memories.
A very warm welcome and a wonderful experience. We leave with fantastic memories and will gladly return to another farm stay.

We had a very pleasant stay, peaceful and surrounded by the sounds of the animals, at the Penquelen Huella farm in Brittany. The view from our tent overlooking the countryside was lovely, and the tent itself was rustic yet comfortable. The farm grounds are large, allowing for leisurely walks to the different enclosures. Finally, Clara and Cyril welcomed us warmly and were always available. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them.
Fercoq Géraldine★★★★★
We spent a night at Un Lit au Pré in Bezinghem and found the concept absolutely brilliant… far too short for our liking! The place is peaceful, immersive, and the experience in the heart of nature is truly rejuvenating.
The walk with the alpacas was a real highlight: even the children who are afraid of animals were won over. These adorable balls of fluff are incredibly gentle, making the moment even more magical.
Being able to slow down, disconnect from the hectic pace of daily life, live by candlelight, and cook on a wood-burning stove… it felt wonderful. It's a unique, unusual place where you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
We will definitely be back. A huge thank you for this timeless escape. 100% approved!

The location in the 1st arrondissement was ideal, within easy walking distance of some of Paris’s best restaurants, shopping, cafés, and iconic sights, yet the suite itself felt peaceful and private.
What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the level of service. The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our visit. We have stayed in many wonderful properties over the years, and Mondovi Luxury Suites truly stands out. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, beautifully appointed place to stay in the heart of Paris.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mondovi! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Helene who greeted us with such a warm welcome and gave special attention and care to our 2 year old son. We loved the location. It was quiet and peaceful while still being very close to shopping/activities. The room was clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Traveling with a toddler it was great to have a kitchen space and a table for him to eat at in the room. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking!

We stayed in late May, early June. Few notes: during a heatwave (95+ F) the AC kept up fine. We were there during PSG’s winning of the Champions League, and while the excitement near Concorde and Champs Elysees was intense, we could barely hear it (windows) and felt safe - even though we ventured out in the chaos. The flat itself was top-notch, we had a two-bedroom with a living room. Everything still modern and fresh. The washer/dryer worked, although a single unit it did eventually dry clothes. I rarely do reviews, this place was just fantastic for our family w/ kids 7 and 10 years old just arriving from the US, needing to acclimate.

We had a perfect stay at Mondovi Luxury Suites.
Our suite was very clean and spacious for a family of 4 adults and the living room / table was big enough for us to enjoy a meal there in the evening. We visited during the heatwave and our rooms stayed cool throughout with good air conditioning. The service was also incredible - everyone who worked there was so friendly. We also appreciated that they let us check in earlier than our check-in time. The location was obviously amazing given how central and well-connected it is and suitable for wherever you need to go.
We highly recommend this place and we will come back here when we are in Paris again!

Wonderful, highly recommended. Just checked out after 3 days of stay with my husband. Rooms are all newly designed also lobby. Beautiful. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Superb location next to Luxemburg gardens. 8 min walk to RER. Lots of dinning options just couple of min walking. Was extremely hot but the hotel have great air-conditioning - did not feel the heat at all.

I stayed here recently with my husband and four year old. The hotel could not have been better. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I also felt very secure with someone always being at the front desk to greet you. The breakfast is lovely, and a perfect way to start your day before touring around Paris. I found the location ideal for visiting the main monuments and museums. You are steps away from the Luxembourg Gardens, which was particularly nice when traveling with a toddler. The room was well appointmented; the bed and pillows were comfy, the shower hot with good water pressure, there is a nice tea and coffee station, and you get fresh water daily. I would not hesitate to stay here again..

We had a lovely 10 night stay. This gem of a hotel is tucked away on a quiet Paris street yet feels close to everything. Great cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a pharmacy and grocer across the street. The rooms were very clean and pleasant. We were lucky to have a balcony which we sat on frequently, perfect for taking in that beautiful Paris spring weather. Staff were very friendly, and one of the receptionists Caroline was very helpful with answering my questions via email beforehand, she was quick and informative. All other staff were friendly and showed my fiancee how to use the nespresso machine. We ordered room service one morning and it was delightful and arrived on time, at exactly 8:30 on the dot which was the time we indicated we wanted it. The seltzer water on arrival was a nice touch. Not a complaint, but just as a heads up to foreign travelers, the rooms and elevator are very small compared to American standards. But we found our room to be perfectly adequate for size, even for a 10 night stay. This hotel was the key to having a lovely first trip to Paris.

My wife and I were on vacation and chose this hotel based on its reviews. We felt incredibly welcome, and the service was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was served in a nice, cozy space, and the service there was also wonderful and friendly. The croissants and pain au chocolat were delicious, too!
The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre, but took public transit to see places like the Eiffel Tower. The RER station is just a short walk away, which offers a direct train connection straight from CdG airport.
The Luxembourg Gardens (Jardin du Luxembourg) are also right nearby and well worth a visit.

Wonderful hotel close to the metro, RER, and the sights along the Seine or Île de la Cité. The staff were very courteous and responsive, they promptly responded when we notified them of our unfortunate delay.
The only minor, but tolerable, downsides were the small elevator (results in long waits during checkout time or breakfast) and the beds were a little hard!
We would definitely stay here again.
Tips for a Smooth Family Stay near the Musée d’Orsay
Choosing the right hotel is only half the battle; how you plan your logistics will define the tone of your trip. The 7th arrondissement is a residential and diplomatic quarter, which means it is safe and quiet, but it requires a bit of local knowledge to navigate efficiently with children. The following strategies will help you maximize your time and minimize stress while staying in this beautiful part of Paris.
1. Book a Room with a View, but Request a Quiet Floor
While a view of the Eiffel Tower or the Seine is magical, these rooms often face main roads. When booking, ask for a high floor facing an interior courtyard. You will get the benefit of silence for naptime while still being steps away from the scenic viewpoints when you walk outside.
2. Leverage the RER C Line Strategically
The Musée d’Orsay has its own RER C station, which is incredibly convenient, but it can be confusing with strollers due to stairs. If you are arriving from the airport or heading to Versailles, check the elevator access points at the station ahead of time. Sometimes, walking an extra block to the Solférino or Assemblée Nationale metro stations is easier than navigating the deeper RER tunnels with luggage or a sleeping toddler.
3. Plan Your Museum Visit for "Premier Heure"
If you are staying nearby, take advantage of the proximity to visit the Musée d’Orsay right when it opens (usually 9:30 AM, closed Mondays). The Impressionist galleries on the 5th floor fill up quickly. Arriving early allows your children to see Van Gogh and Monet without being overwhelmed by crowds, making it a much more enjoyable cultural experience for everyone.
4. Picnic on the Seine Banks
Eating out for every meal in Paris can be expensive and tiring for children. Just a few steps from the museum, the Berges de Seine offer pedestrian-friendly paths. Pick up a baguette, some cheese, and fruit from a local boulangerie on Rue du Bac, and have a casual picnic by the river while watching the boats go by.
5. Use the Tuileries as Your "Backyard"
Just across the pedestrian bridge (Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor), you will find the Tuileries Garden. This is the perfect place for kids to burn off energy. There is a playground, a pond where they can rent small wooden sailboats, and plenty of chairs for parents to sit and rest. Treat it as an extension of your hotel’s common area.
6. Verify "Quad" Room Configurations
Parisian hotels often list rooms as "family rooms" when they simply have a double bed and a pull-out sofa. If you have older children or teens, this can be tight. Always contact the hotel directly to confirm the exact bed sizes and square footage. For many families, booking two adjacent "Classic" rooms is often more comfortable and sometimes cheaper than one large suite.
7. Dress for the Weather and the Cobblestones
The streets around the 7th arrondissement are beautiful but can be rough on little feet and stroller wheels. Ensure your stroller has sturdy wheels, and pack layers. The weather near the Seine can shift quickly, and a light rain jacket is often more useful than an umbrella when managing children.
Finding the right base in the 7th arrondissement allows you to experience Paris at a slower, more enjoyable pace. Rather than rushing across the city to check off a list, you can wander through the sculpture gardens, linger over a hot chocolate in a café, and truly soak in the atmosphere of the Left Bank.
By choosing a hotel that understands the nuances of family travel, you set the stage for a trip filled with discovery rather than logistics. The memories made watching your child’s face light up at a Monet masterpiece, or simply feeding the ducks along the Seine, are the ones that will last a lifetime.
