15 Best Rooftop Bars in Toulouse

As the sun begins its slow descent over the terracotta rooftops of Toulouse, the city undergoes a magical transformation. Known as “La Ville Rose” for its distinctive pink brick architecture, the capital of Occitanie offers a unique vantage point from above. There is no better way to appreciate the winding curves of the Garonne River or the majestic dome of the Capitole than with a chilled glass of wine in hand, elevated above the bustling streets below.

The rooftop bar scene in Toulouse has blossomed in recent years, blending the city’s rich aeronautical history with a distinctly laid-back Southern French charm. Unlike the sprawling mega-clubs of Paris or the beach clubs of the Riviera, Toulouse offers intimate terraces and hidden garden oases. Here, the focus is on conversation, panoramic views, and savoring the balmy evening air that makes the southwest of France so enchanting.

Whether you are a visitor looking to capture the perfect Instagram shot of the Saint-Sernin Basilica or a local seeking a new spot for after-work drinks, the city has a perch for every preference. From secret speakeasies hidden in boutique hotels to sprawling industrial-chic spaces that pulse with DJ beats, the variety is impressive. These elevated venues provide a welcome escape from the heat of the summer streets while offering a front-row seat to Toulouse’s vibrant social life.

The gastronomic landscape of Toulouse is legendary, famous for hearty dishes like cassoulet and succulent duck confit. The rooftop venues honor this culinary heritage, often pairing innovative small plates and regional charcuterie with an extensive list of local Fronton and Gaillac wines. As the craft cocktail movement sweeps through France, these bars have also stepped up their mixology game, utilizing fresh herbs and artisanal syrups to create refreshing spritzes and signature concoctions.

Navigating the city’s vertical landscape requires a bit of local knowledge, as many of the best terraces are discreetly tucked away from the main squares. Some require reservations weeks in advance, while others are perfect for a spontaneous sunset detour. Understanding the vibe of each location—whether it is a family-friendly afternoon lounge or a high-energy late-night party—is key to curating the perfect evening in the Pink City.

To help you elevate your experience, we have curated a definitive guide to the finest elevated drinking destinations in the city. From lush greenery and panoramic 360-degree views to intimate corners perfect for a first date, this list covers the spectrum of Toulouse’s high-altitude hospitality. Prepare to ascend to the best seats in the house and discover why the view from the top is always better.

We only went up for drinks on the terrace and to take in the view. Considering that, the prices are in line with the views over toulouse. We'll worth popping up to enjoy a drink. However, use the toilet on the top floor as the toilets in the store on the 3rd floor were absolutely disgusting!

⭐☆☆☆☆ We chose this place to celebrate a friend’s birthday because of its reputation and location, and unfortunately it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in Toulouse. We made a reservation after being told that reservations were required to access the rooftop, only to later see people entering without one. Our group mainly came for drinks, with some friends planning to order food as well, but after arriving we were informed that if we were not having a full meal we would have to leave the rooftop or move inside. This was never explained when we booked and made very little sense, especially considering we had already ordered drinks and the venue was far from full. What made it even more confusing was seeing other guests outside later enjoying drinks only. The biggest issue, however, was not the policy itself but the way it was handled. Throughout the evening the service felt dismissive, unwelcoming, and unnecessarily complicated. Some members of our group decided to order food when inside, yet staff had to check whether the kitchen was still open (even though less than 5 minutes ago they had to move us because not everyone wanted to eat). Make it make sense... Simple requests seemed to become problems, and instead of enjoying a birthday celebration we spent much of the evening dealing with confusion, bad service, and poor communication. A beautiful view and premium prices create certain expectations, but professionalism, consistency, and basic courtesy are what make a place feel genuinely high-end. Sadly, that was completely missing from our experience. The atmosphere created by the staff brought down what should have been a special evening and ultimately pushed us to continue the celebration elsewhere. Ironically, the places we visited afterward reminded us exactly what good hospitality looks like: welcoming, professional, and customer-focused. Toulouse offers many excellent restaurants and bars where guests are treated with respect. Based on this experience, I would not return and would not recommend this place.
Vi Kieu★★★★☆
The dinner went well, nice restaurant and view over Toulouse, food quality is good, but need to pay attention to the service. The waiter collected our cup of wine even before we completely finished it, as the wine price is not cheap and the small quantity when we bought a cup, this is not a good way to serve your customers

What an unbelievably disappointing experience 🤦‍♀️. We made a reservation because we were told it was required just to access the rooftop. Our group mainly wanted drinks 🍸🍹, and a few people planned on ordering appetizers. Once we arrived, we were basically told that if we weren’t having a full meal, we either had to leave or go inside. How does that even make sense? 🤷‍♀️ For a place that tries so hard to market itself as “high-end” ✨, the service was surprisingly rude, disorganized, and honestly unpleasant. Some friends later decided they actually wanted food 🍽️, but the staff had to double-check whether the kitchen was even open 😂… despite the place being nearly empty. We had already ordered drinks and water 💧, and guess what? The water never arrived 🙃. The whole thing felt chaotic and unnecessarily hostile. If you’re paying premium prices 💸, you’d expect at least decent service. Instead, we got attitude and confusion. The funniest part? 🤔 After being told that the rooftop wasn’t for people just having drinks, we later noticed other guests outside enjoying drinks only 🍷🍹. So apparently the rules apply selectively? Make it make sense 🤷‍♀️. And a little message to management 📢: if you’re going to hire staff, please make sure they know how to treat customers with basic courtesy, professionalism, and a bit of common sense 🧠. A beautiful view and expensive prices don’t automatically make a place classy. The people representing your business matter too, and unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. Toulouse has plenty of amazing places with better food, better drinks, and most importantly, better treatment . This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had so far . Completely overrated, not worth the money, and if zero stars were an option, that’s exactly what I’d give it 👎.

Loved our experience here ❤️ it’s possibly the best view of the city. I wasn’t able to reserve dinner via the website app so I called. After 20h the access is on the other side of the building (walk a block and hang a left) as it’s on the 6th floor of Galleries Lafayette. I was afraid it would be too “Intagramish”conjuring images of long fingernails and LV bags, but I was pleasantly surprised by the professional vibe. The rooftop happened to be partially privatized by a company that night but we were able to grab a spot on the deck for dinner with a great view. We took 2 menus at 45€ and went with the chef’s wine pairing (they serve a white with the entree and a red with a plat principal), instead of ordering a bottle. Great idea and the service was excellent. The only improvement would have been much less salt, specifically in the Thai salad and the sauteed bok choy. Otherwise great experience 👌

Absolutely awful experience here with a large group! Give this place a wide berth! All of us ordered (overpriced and undwhelming) food, with some not receiving their orders after very long waits. When we queried this with staff, the attitude of the staff member who handled it was truly vile - I think his name was Alex and he claimed to be the "manager" (which is worrying in itself). After he spent considerable time arguing in our faces, and telling us "your friends ate your pizza", he finally admitted there was a fault with their shambles of an ordering system. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Paul Hanlon★☆☆☆☆
Poor terrace bar management, mistakes were made and we were gaslit by staff into believing it was our fault. Only when they agreed it was theirs, they said oh it was the system. For a group of 17 people buying food and drinks, if a mistake has been made just rectify it. Attitude of staff was extremely poor, pizza was mediocre. 20 mins spent during our meal working through every order to prove us right. What a way to ruin the night, thanks Alexander 👎
Dhanya Venkatesh★★★★☆
A very chill rooftop with a bar and fresh pizzas. We tried a bunch of cocktails and mock tails which were all very creative and original. They also some apitizers. We tried the cauliflower tabbouleh but didn’t like it. But I recommend the place as it has a very nice vibe and a DJ at night.
MHGrant★★☆☆☆
Says they have allergen menus available, yet when you ask you learn that everything is cross contaminated with another. Extremely concerned with the outward appearance of allergen accessibility and only being allowed salad. Food was okay.

Bit small and cramped. Not really a spectacular view, but the ambiance is good. Nice music and attentive service.

Thank you to the waiter on July 10th 9pm to put effort and detail into a mocktail, it is so appreciated. Also very friendly and helpful and taking his time in the nicest possible way. I found out that the olive tapenade has anchovies in it and he read all the ingredients of the other options to find me a suitable one.

We had booked a table for drinks upstairs, by the pool. I had booked two weeks in advance, and in the end, we couldn't get in because I hadn't specified "the pool" when making the reservation! So we ended up downstairs and, of course, left very disappointed. It's a real shame, especially after booking so far in advance.

EDIT: In response to hotels response -As discussed there were no hotels available the day I checked in due to the conference in the city - as noted in my reviews first point -Second point - Do not disturb sign was never left outside -Third point - No one showed me through the room upon check-in. As mentioned by other 1 star reviewers - this hotel can not take negative feedback and pass on issues onto the customer. The main issue is that there was minimal action in alleviating guest issues and providing adequate compensation. Poor service is to be honest my main contention point. If I could give 0 stars to this review, I would. I have been staying in Toulouse for a wedding and arrived a few days ago to the news that the air conditioning in the area was not working and would not be fixed until the end of the week. As there was a conference in the city there was no rooms available anywhere, and with plans across the next 2 days, it would be impossible to find time to change hotels. All that was offered to make my experience more ‘comfortable’ was a tiny desk fan and a water bottle with some ice. There was no offer of compensation. Breakfast was a sad affair, only electric machine coffee, no barista coffee with some rather bizarre customer service from the staff. To makes things even worse, my room was not cleaned in the 3 days I was there. Someone tried on day 1 but I was in the room, and since then no other efforts were made. The location was pretty uninspiring, for international travellers, I certainly wouldn’t recommend. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered.
Perry Holt★★★★☆
What a great hotel, while not in the middle of old Toulouse it's not far using tram, train or bus (word up - we were here during an unprecedented heat wave and we discovered that buses were the coolest transport option with trams next and very last, trains). The clincher though is its location in the Cartoucherie district which is a fine example of how to succeed in creating an urban development which is well thought out. The general vibe at Sangha Toulouse is chilled and informed by wellness culture. While I'm not an advocate of wellness culture, there are more than enough other reasons to stay here. Muted shades predominate and produce a quiet, peaceful vibe - it's very minimalist and some would describe it as Zen like in no small part due to the intention of the founder of the hotel. There are lighter, bleached wood grain accents throughout the hotel, in shared spaces and rooms. Equally it is informed by green accreditation. The reception is on the eighth floor where there is also an amazing rooftop bar and a breakfast area. We felt this was a cool addition as personally we don't want to acknowledge a gate-keeper every time we leave or arrive. The bed while a smaller double size was firm and comfortable to a tee. The room was compact but in no way a compromise. On each floor there is a water fountain/station which provided still, aerated, hot and cold water - there are no kettles in individual rooms. The teas they provided at the water station were artisan teas (about five blends) and while intriguing, not the kind we are interested in. That's fine however, we travel with our preferred brew. We spent the early part of one evening on the rooftop bar and it really was magnificent, offering a sky panorama flecked with swifts and all manner of birds alongside plane slipstreams criss-crossing the sky. Enchanting. While unfortunately one of the cocktails and a menu item were unavailable, we enjoyed a superb cocktail and prawn dumpling followed by a glass of wine and a cheese and meat platter. We ate breakfast one morning and it was more than satisfactory offering a wide range of food options. All of the muesli, nuts & seeds, dried fruit, pureed apple and yoghurt one needs for a starting point. There's a juicer and fruits. An egg boiler. Ham and cheeses. And naturally, a selection of bread and pastries. The pastries were all sensibly sized and I enjoyed a fine escargot. The standout was a thick slab of rye toast with a standout cardamom and cumquat (?) preserve. Speaking of food, next door to the hotel is Les Halles des Cartoucherie - it was a real find. An array of vendors selling an impressive range of cuisines for a variety of preferences. The big find here personally was the African food vendor - amazingly tasty and comforting and ... my first (and second) ginger slushy, unbelievably fantastic. In addition, nearby the hotel is another food hall, a boulangerie, a Thai restaurant a Carrefour, a cinema, a couple of bistros. Only five minutes walk away is a pharmacy and a laundromat (Speed Queen). Staff were polite, professional and welcoming. A great stay - three nights.
Nil Akdag★★★★☆
We enjoyed our stay. Great ideas of hotel management. Very close to the tram. Nearby food hall offers choices. Next to a super market and a boulanger. Roof top is nice. Breakfast was fulfilling and elaborate. Thanks to the kind staff.
siauhwa tew★★★★☆
The hotel is located at a convenient place accessible by tram, bus and there is a small limited carpark if you drive. But if you come by uber, it can be confusing where to stop because they don’t have a real front door or gate connected to road. The best if you come by uber is to go to le hall de carthoucherie, it’s just next to the hotel. Another confusing point is the lobby not at ground floor but at the top floor. It made the guest feel confused and not sure arriving at the correct place because I’m coming for hotel but I see more signage about yoga than hotel. The room is comfortable even everything seems small and compact. Good water pressure for shower. Housekeeping is good, daily basis. The tea/water counter at each floor is nice concept. The breakfast was good but I would suggest if possible to have option of hot or cooked food. They have the only 1 rooftop bar in this area, very stunning view and comfortable seating. I had almost every night some gathering with different groups of friends when I stay here.
Laurice Mendoza★★★★☆
came for the Sunday brunch and although the weather was gloomy, it gave some views of the pyrenees 😍 the rooftop views must be better during summer! about the brunch, its a 'so-so' selection for a 31eu brunch, with a few salée et sucrée selections. Depends on your preference, but I would rather have a full meal than the shy sort of tasting menu and most of them ran out so come early.

First of all - thank you for the excellent service by Lizzy! Very well informed about the menu and was really hospitable. However we ordered 6 items and every single one of them was below our expectations. The egg was borderline raw, the shrimps were bland with an overly sweet sauce, the chicken was also quite bland and only barely cooked fully, the carrots were buried in feta cheese and it was way too salty, the peas tasted frozen and off. I really hope they improve the food quality in the near future.

A very attractive, lively, and inviting establishment. We only had one meal, booked online, and we ate very well. The portions were just right, and the food was delicious. Rest assured, you'll find something to enjoy regardless of your dietary restrictions (vegetarian or gluten-free).

We stayed for a weekend at the Social Hub and overall everything went well. It's a lovely place, with all the services you'd expect, and the staff were pleasant. However, there were a few minor issues: the room could have been a bit cleaner, the shower door didn't close properly, the shower water sprayed everywhere, and we were perhaps expecting a little more from the breakfast. Overall, it wasn't too bad, though it was sometimes missing a little something. Thank you to the team for their hospitality.
Chloé Saliner★★★★★
I came last night for the first time because I had complimentary drinks, and I was pleasantly surprised! The team is super friendly, young, and dynamic. A special shout-out to Amélie and Louise who let us access the rooftop despite a private event. Thanks again, we had a fantastic evening thanks to you! 🫶 The venue is absolutely stunning, the rooftop is magnificent (especially at sunset), the pool is a real bonus, the atmosphere is great, and the cocktails were delicious. Honestly, a great spot in Toulouse with prices that are still reasonable for such a place. I'll definitely be back! 😊

Very disappointed. The reservation was cancelled less than an hour before the scheduled time, without any real alternative being offered. This shows a lack of respect for customers who plan their day around their reservation. Such short notice is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of professionalism in management. I do not recommend this establishment.

I was staying in the hotel and had dinner here one night after a long day. The dining area is inviting and colourful and the service good and brisk. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for a hotel restaurant. The menu is kind of safe and crowd pleasing (but I guess that is what is needed in a hotel restaurant) but done with some French flair and was really good.

Great vibe and nice, cute terasse! Friendly service in French and English. Drinks are a bit expensive but the food was good value, very well done and fresh ingredients. Perfect spot downtown for a date, also saw some big groups and solo travelers reading or doing work, so really it's a place for everyone!

I went for the lunch menu, which consisted of a starter, main and dessert of the day. The mozarella sticks had a surprisingly spiced sauce, which I enjoyed very much. The steak, I would have liked it to be thicker. The cuisson was more well-done than medium because the cut was a bit thin. There was some confusion about the side dishes, because first the legumes would be swapped by small fries, yet we still got the legumes instead. The dessert was also very delicious. The service was quite slow tho, because we waited almost 15 minutes to order. There was some orders forgotten too. But it was a good lunch and good value for your money.

It was my first visit. My friend who has lived in Toulouse for a long time took me to this restaurant. All the food we ordered(including desserts and drinks) were really good! *I just remember the dry wine I order was not dry at all, it was sweet. But I liked it anyway. I ordered risotto, I liked it! Usually foods from restaurants are too salty for me, but their risotto wasn’t salty so I loved it! I especially liked their chocolate creme brûlée and I showed the picture of it to my boyfriend, now he’s so jealous. So I’ll go back there again with my boyfriend soon. I recommend you to make a reservation if you go there for dinner around 8.

Lively, super lively, but I could still have a calm table by myself off to the side just like I wanted. My Niçoise salad and wine were both perfect. Music was some of the best mix I’ve heard since Ibiza. Lively but chill enough to just enjoy dinner.

A great stay! Funky hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Just would prefer security wise if key card required to use the lifts as the bar/restaurant is open to the public. But overall a great stay. Didnt hear any noise at night and on 1st floor.
roya soleimani★★☆☆☆
Good location but otherwise, I wouldn't stay again. The view from our room was terrible, we were by the lift so it was very noisy. The rooms are small and basic - not even a kettle and some tea bags... Just one small bottle of water for 2 people on the first day. There are no headboards which is uncomfortable and we both walked into the corners of the bed multiple times. Hand and body creams were empty and not topped up, no conditioner. The shower went hot and cold. Honestly, stay somewhere else.
David Milsom★★★☆☆
We stayed here for three nights. The location is excellent, great for shopping, eating and sightseeing. We were on the 4th floor near to back of the hotel so couldn’t hear the noise from the bars which so many people comment on but although they had triple glazed windows you could still hear people on the street below. The main problem I have with this hotel is that once you take away the novelty in the room, the fancy red lighting, the masks, the free movies, there isn’t much else. No slippers, robes, tea or coffee. Just shower gel and hand soap. This really is just somewhere to shower and sleep which is absolutely fine but I feel it’s very gimmicky and not much substance. Also it’s true that for our three night stay we had one bottle of water to share which I think is unforgivable in hotels now.
Sarah Cole★☆☆☆☆
Came for pizza and the service was DISGUSTING. Wrong orders, orders given to the wrong people and yet it was our fault, not the staff. Alexandre was rude and more interested in watching the Champions League final than paying attention to customers orders. Tried explaining that we'd not received a pizza at all and he was adamant that he'd given it to our friend and it was our fault that they'd given food to the wrong person. Do not come here for food, just awful, awful service.
Sarah★★☆☆☆
The first night we were in a 1st floor room and the noise from the DJ and bar downstairs was extremely loud until after 3am. There didn’t seem to be any soundproofing of the room, we didn’t sleep at all until after 3am. We could also hear the tv and people talking in the room next door. The following day we asked to move to a higher floor and they did manage to do this. In the move I left my charging plug in the wall socket by accident. I let them know and I went to see if it was still there. The room had already been cleaned and the cleaning staff said they hadn’t seen it. I have no idea where it went as I definitely did leave it in the socket. Somebody who had access to the room took the plug. Last night we slept on the 3rd floor and were unfortunately still kept awake by noise from downstairs. When I mentioned it to the reception on check out I was told that the Mama Shelter hotels are party hotels so we should expect it to be noisy and I should have requested a quiet room on check in. This is not communicated on the booking website. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the past, including hotels with nightclubs in them, and have never been disturbed this much with music and noise. There were a lot of different age ranges staying at the hotel, including families. I don’t think you should expect to not be able to sleep. Additionally the room temperature wouldn’t go below 22°C and so was hot. There was only body wash/shampoo in one and no hair conditioner. Or coffee/ tea making facilities. Don’t stay here at the weekend if you want to get some sleep.

We were very disappointed with our experience. We were a table of 10 and had taken the precaution of ordering our meals in advance, starting at 11:00 AM, to facilitate service. Upon arrival, several plates of chicken were served undercooked: the meat was difficult to cut and blood was still visible. We politely pointed out the problem. The plates were taken away, but the waitress's reaction was particularly unpleasant. After the dishes were returned, two plates were still undercooked. When we pointed this out again, the waitress became aggressive and refused to take the dishes back. Beyond the cooking issue, it was the lack of consideration for customers that shocked us most. No compensation was offered despite this unacceptable situation. We will not be returning and do not recommend this establishment. More respectful customer service and particular attention to food safety are essential.

Highly inventive cuisine using fresh, healthy, family-style ingredients, with meticulous presentation. Constantly evolving menu. Today we tried the mango creations 🥭 Excellent value for money. Service has improved over time. A truly pleasant dining room with natural decor, wood, and vibrant colors. We miss the Sunday sharing platters. One minor drawback is the walk to the climbing gym. A lovely alternative to the hustle and bustle of Les Halles.
Amelie Nivet★☆☆☆☆
The place is still very nice, but I was disappointed to see that the banana bread slices have become thin slices, even though the price hasn't changed. Strange, maybe the price of bananas has gone up! 🤷‍♀️ It's a shame, because the value for money isn't really there anymore.
Charline Coulomb★☆☆☆☆
I never post negative reviews, but I feel compelled to respond to the comment about the large table and the chicken being cooked properly because I think it's a lot of bad faith for just one meal. We sent the chicken back because it wasn't cooked enough. It was brought back to us (not without some reprimand, by the way...) and blood was running out when we carved it. I'm no cook, but a pink/red chicken with blood running out... No, that's just not acceptable. We didn't touch it since it was impossible to reason with the waitress. 15 euros for a tiny flan, a spoonful of mashed potatoes, and a grimace is really outrageous.

I used to go regularly, and I'd take my 3-kilo dog with me, she's old and quiet, and it went quite well until recently. A couple weeks ago, I asked for a paper or plastic recipient for water, for my dog, the lady said she had SPECIFIC ORDERS NOT TO GIVE WATER TO DOGS. That's particularly cruel, what human being can give orders not to give water to an animal? Also, I had a seat covered with a thick blanket and my dog on top, the manager said my dog had to be on the floor. I don't understand the aggressiveness against dogs, specially when mine hasn't done anything wrong. I vowed never to spend another cent on that store again.

It's a very nice coffee shop to study or hang out with friends. They have some very delicious sweets (the Buche they made around Christmas was amazing!), and other delicious things like their hot chocolate and pot sucré. I gave a lesser rating to staff because some are very friendly, but others are less and can come off as kind of rude or cold. The atmosphere is so nice and chill. But sometimes there are crying children 🤣😭. I personally don't mind it though because usually they are mostly around the children allocated area.

Absolutely love this hidden gem! There is space (in and outdoors), there are proper tables and plugs, if you need to be with a laptop. Vegetarian food is tasty, especially the crumble with homemade whip cream, it's just fantastic 😍 The stuff is kind and never bothers you.

Usually more focused on gastronomic restaurant I made a try here and what a surprise!! Eating food homemade and on top healthy one was so much appreciated. The place is peaceful and the terrasse is cool Also you can work from here in a great atmosphere (digital workers this is the place to be) One last thing concerning the children place that’s a brillant idea to let parents sharing time without stress Go ahead Gigi I will come back for sure

Friendly atmosphere and cute decor. Great views. Lunch is served during usual french hours. Otherwise uts sweets! But they did have hummus which was a life saver. Looks like the outdoor section isn't open in the fall. Very nice staff!

Extremely unprofessional and dishonest. I personally came here in advance to ask if we could organise an art event, and the staff told me “yes.” On the day, about 10 people showed up — each buying a drink as agreed — only for us to be suddenly told we couldn’t hold the event after all. Some staff looked confused and even disagreed with each other, clearly showing how disorganised this place is. Then, after wasting our time and money, they had the nerve to say “Oh, it’s a great idea, but you have to inform us” — which I had already done in person. This was not a misunderstanding; it was complete disregard for their own word and for their customers. I would not trust them again with any event or serious booking.

Pool can only be used by the hotel guests and is not visible from the terrace. Not recommended for groups of +5 people.

We had a wonderful experience visiting this hidden gem inside the hotel! We visited for some drinks and food, and the tapas-style setup was perfect for sharing. There is a fantastic variety of flavorful options, including plenty of excellent vegetarian choices, which we highly appreciated. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. We sat outside in the garden area, which provided a lovely, relaxing backdrop for the evening. Between the creative menu, the cozy ambiance, and the excellent food, this place is highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem. I was hesitant to write a review just because I know it’s not known to locals here and I don’t want it to get crowded. Kidding aside, this place is just wonderful. The restaurant has 4 different areas of dining and so 4 different atmosphere. I will write them so you can perhaps decide before hand and request which table you want when you reserve on the phone. First is the one in front of the street, most indoor part, I guess this is the interior restaurant area, it’s quiet and intimate; 2nd one is by the fireplace and same room as where the bar is, I guess this is the formal bar area as the tables are more for drinking and chilling than dining.. This room is very good during winter with the couch in front of the fake fireplace, the decor also is by par. 3rd area is the glassed patio..very nice! U have the lovely view of the beautiful garden. 4th is the exterior, nice lounge chairs and tables. Perfect for summer days and evening drinks. Cocktails are good, very mixologist menu, which I love. Waiter is cheeky and friendly. I have yet to try their food though but the drinks are great.

We liked it so much that we went back for dinner the very next day when another friend arrived in Toulouse. I dream of the gazpacho soup and green salad as the perfect meal in the perfect place when you want food on the light and healthy side. We sat in the glass- walled sun room both times, and loved the view out to the large, beautiful patio.

Nice climbing gym, was easy to register and the staff let me borrow liquid chalk. They were very helpful and informative. The gym is big and the walls are set well with a large variety of styles and holds for all levels. I would visit again if I am back in Toulouse.

Amazingly beautiful gym. All the equipment is new, super clean and there is a great vibe. They also have silks, lyra and rope! Can do a month pass for €50 or there are other contract options. Highly recommend, great value!

I went there with my children to spend an afternoon meanwhile on holiday. They played for 3 hours, enjoying every single bit of it. The coffee and the cakes were great too. Highly recommended!

It's not too far ftom the center and showers are clean, that's from the positive side. Inaccessible by car, ridiculiusly few bike stands, you're sposed to walk there. Room is small and noisy, difficulty rating are non standard and completely random. Entry fee of 14E is excessive. Feels like a starbucks coffre with walls for decoration. No wonder so few people were in on a sunday afternoon

Fat Cat was suggested to me by my good friend from Norway whose sister had recently studied in Toulouse. Although tired from travel, I was waiting for a friend to finish a late shift and decided to treat myself to a couple drinks. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness and nuance that was put into the creation of each of the three drinks I tried. A masterful mixologist who I think was named Jeanne highly suggested her rendition of bloody mary. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tomato juice extracted by the muddling of fresh cherry tomatoes. The evocative smell of these tomatoes reminded me of balmy blue Occitanie summer heat with a touch of bittersweet melancholy. The fresh tomato juice provided both a welcome subtle acidity, sweetness, and freshness that tantalized the front palate while providing a gentle caress in the finish. The atmosphere of the bar is classy and clean, and the employees are very friendly. Although two inebriated and vile British buffoons came into the establishment they soon left as they realized that they were out of their depth. I highly recommend Fat Cat to anyone looking for high quality cocktails in Toulouse. I surely didn't leave empty handed, but rather with fond memories of unique cocktails.

This laid-back cocktail bar takes classic cocktails seriously and does a masterful job mixing them. If you like quiet, dark, friendly and professional cocktail bars, try this one. It’s our favorite in Toulouse-Centre.

I’m really torn writing this. We went twice today. Had the most amazing chicken Caesar salad it was huge and so tasty so decided to go back for dinner. Absolutely gutted. The worse food ever. I ordered chicken thigh was cold so I asked them to heat up and they added hot sauce. I know an English is not their first language but I showed him it was cold and I didn’t want to get sick. Enchiladas were tiny and ok. My daughter steak was nice. Sorry but 20euro for what I had and could not eat was just worse meal I had in a very long time. No one wants food poisoning from half warm chicken. My cocktail was like no alcohol in it and my daughters was the opposite so strong. No much service no water offered. Just felt really disappointed Day time perfect evening was just the worse.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food—it had a fun, lively vibe. The drinks menu seemed more tailored to a younger crowd, which adds to the youthful energy of the place. We visited on a friend’s recommendation and were glad to finally check it off our list. Would I go back? Probably not for myself, but I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with young kids or teens. It’s clearly one of the more happening spots in town…!

I absolutely love this place. It's a French-Irish inspired bar. I will be coming for St Patricks day, great Guinness, Killenney. The lads and lassies even gave me recommendations on where to find a pint of Smithwicks when me throat gets dry 🙏☘️🇫🇷

What a creative and awesome place to come and meet with your friends. Outside of the building looks very deceiving as it looks dark and unassuming. However, as you walk inside of the pub, it is lively and the decor is amazing. It is 3 stories high and lively throughout. This place is always packed as it seems it is the place to be. We only had drinks here but they also serve foods and does lunches as well .

Insider Tips for the Ultimate Rooftop Experience

While Toulouse is famously welcoming, a little preparation can transform a simple drink into an unforgettable memory. The city’s rooftop bars vary significantly in their opening hours, dress codes, and reservation policies, and the weather can be unpredictable. Understanding the local etiquette and timing will ensure you secure the best table with the best view, avoiding the disappointment of a long queue or a fully booked terrace.

  1. Book Ahead for Sunset Hours: The "golden hour" between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM during the summer is prime time. For popular spots with limited seating, especially those attached to hotels, calling ahead or booking online is essential to avoid being turned away at the door.
  2. Dress Smart Casual: While Toulouse is generally relaxed, many of the higher-end hotel rooftops enforce a "smart casual" dress code. Leave the beach flip-flops at the hotel and opt for stylish sneakers, loafers, or elegant sandals to blend in seamlessly with the chic local crowd.
  3. Check the Weather and Wind: Being close to the Garonne and the Pyrenees, some terraces can get breezy. Even on a warm summer day, the temperature can drop quickly after sunset. Bring a light jacket or shawl, and always check the forecast, as outdoor terraces will close during rain or high winds.
  4. Explore Beyond Cocktails: While mixology is a highlight, don’t overlook the wine lists. The Southwest of France produces exceptional rosés and reds that are rarely exported. Ask the sommelier or bartender for a recommendation from the Fronton or Madiran regions for a truly local taste.
  5. Plan Your Transport: Many of the best terraces are located in the historic center, which is largely pedestrianized. Leave the car behind and plan to walk, or use the efficient metro system. This allows you to safely enjoy the local aperitifs and bar-hop between multiple elevated venues without parking stress.

As the evening deepens and the lights of the Pont Neuf begin to shimmer on the water, the true magic of Toulouse reveals itself from above. The city’s pace slows down, conversations linger, and the clinking of glasses provides a gentle soundtrack to the panoramic views. Whether you have chosen a lush garden hideaway or a sleek modern lounge, you are participating in a cherished local ritual: the art of the apéro.

Ultimately, the best rooftop bar is not just about the altitude, but the attitude. It is about finding that perfect alignment of atmosphere, flavor, and scenery that speaks to your personal travel style. So, take a deep breath of the Occitan air, order that second round, and let the Pink City unfold beneath you in all its rosy, illuminated glory.
