15 Best Restaurants in San Antonio, Ibiza

San Antonio is not just a sunset town. Tucked into the western curve of Ibiza’s coastline, this former fishing village has grown into one of the island’s most compelling food destinations, where traditional Balearic cooking meets modern Mediterranean flair. The streets around the marina and the old church are lined with family-run tapas bars, wood-fired grills, and stylish terraces that fill up as soon as the evening breeze rolls in.

Dining here is about more than just eating. It is about long lunches that stretch into golden afternoons, cliffside tables overlooking the sea, and the unmistakable aroma of garlic, olive oil, and fresh seafood drifting through the narrow whitewashed lanes. San Antonio offers remarkable variety, from humble local favourites serving rustic island dishes to contemporary restaurants that would not feel out of place in Ibiza Town or Formentera.

Because the town attracts visitors from all over the world, it is easy to stumble into a tourist trap. The best restaurants, however, are often the ones tucked slightly away from the busiest promenade, where the focus remains firmly on seasonal ingredients, honest cooking, and warm Balearic hospitality. Knowing where to go makes all the difference between a forgettable meal and a highlight of your trip.

This guide is built around the places that locals actually recommend. It includes long-standing institutions that have fed San Antonio families for generations, as well as newer kitchens that have brought fresh energy and creativity to the area. Each recommendation has been chosen for its consistency, atmosphere, and ability to deliver something genuinely memorable.

Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner with a view, a casual lunch after the beach, or authentic tapas before a night out, San Antonio has a table for you. The following selection covers different budgets and styles, but every entry shares one essential quality: food that respects the island’s produce and culinary heritage.

Below, you will find the best restaurants in San Antonio, Ibiza, carefully curated to help you eat well and avoid the mediocre options that can dominate a busy resort town. Use this list as your starting point, then wander the backstreets and discover your own favourites along the way.

Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff were incredibly helpful and managed to find us a table. The service was very fast, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the deep-fried Brie, which was our favorite dish. We weren’t particularly impressed with the patatas bravas, but since everything else was so good, it really wasn’t a big deal. The atmosphere was lovely, and having a parking area was a great convenience. We had a great experience and would happily come back.

We went for dinner to celebarate a birthday. We too ribs and spicy chicken both of them was amazing especially ribs are the best I ever ate! Quantity was not big as portion but quality is good! Staff was super friendly since we booked the place for birthday they put a birthday card to our table. And they offered us free herbes shot. Thank you so much !

The best food in San Antonio! We visited as a group of five and had a great experience. I’d definitely recommend booking a reservation in advance as it gets busy. The food was 10/10. The standout for me was the choricitos (mini chorizo sausages) and I’d also highly recommend the octopus and the padrón peppers. Everything was cooked perfectly, packed with flavour and ideal tapas for sharing. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with a great atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and happy to make adjustments to suit our needs. A special shoutout to Joe for his friendly service and great recommendations.
Lauren Fowler★★★★★
Perfect from start to finish. The setting is just beautiful, with indoor and outdoor seating. We booked a table online, a very easy process. Received a very warm welcome from the host and our lovely waitress. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails and some of the incredible dishes. The chickpea coconut curry is an ABSOLUTE MUST TRY! We were obsessed! Sadly, too full to enjoy a dessert, but we will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team.
Simon B★★★★★
Spot on. Just perfect, food exquisite. Presented perfectly and tasted amazing, restaurant was classy and felt fine dining, relaxed atmosphere and lovely servers. Only fault was waiting a long time with menus in front of us. This can be forgiven for how amazing it was even when we booked for 10pm

We had the most wonderful dining experience at Aragma and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Anita made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, giving us excellent food recommendations that we absolutely loved. The food itself was exquisite, beautifully fresh, full of flavour, and served promptly without feeling rushed. I visited with my husband and our young child, who has additional needs and the team could not have been more accommodating. They thoughtfully turned on the heaters and provided blankets to ensure we were warm and comfortable throughout the evening, which meant so much to us as a family. It’s rare to find somewhere that combines such amazing food with genuine kindness and understanding. The highlight for dessert was the deconstructed baklava, which was absolutely incredible beautifully presented, perfectly balanced in flavour, and honestly one of the best desserts we’ve ever had! We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned again the very next night and were delighted to be served by Anita once more. The second visit was every bit as fantastic as the first! Anita is truly a credit to the restaurant and helped make our holiday even more special. Thank you so much to Anita and the whole team at Aragma, we will most definitely be visiting again the next time we fly to Ibiza!

An absolutely perfect dining experience! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The steak was cooked to perfection, the shrimp were fresh and delicious, and the appetizers and sides were outstanding. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a memorable dinner. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants we visited in Ibiza. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to come back!
Nayyirah Fardan★★★★★
We are visiting Ibiza for our honeymoon and on our final evening we found this gem. When I tell you I felt all the emotions, dancing, smiling, joy, tears (of joy), and bliss. I love Mediterranean food and this exceeded my expectations by far. We had to try all of the dips and they did not miss at all. We needed extra pita because we weren’t letting any of the dips go to waste. We got the ceviche and then the ribeye and beef cheek. Between the 2 of us it was the perfect amount of food. The beef cheek literally melted in my mouth and the rib eye was so flavorful. The service was impeccable, Ricardo and Tony were the best, making sure we were all set throughout the evening. I wanted to hug the chef. This food was so good.

I had dinner at this restaurant which I discovered by chance and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a very good salad with avocado and halloumi. Anita gave us very good recommendations and her cheerfulness put us in a good mood. Thank you Anita!

We recently visited Aragma in San Antonio, Ibiza, and it was honestly one of the best meals we had during our trip. The food was exceptional—everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. As it was our first time visiting, the service really stood out. The staff took the time to explain the menu in detail, answered all of our questions, and made us feel very welcome. With such a great selection of dishes, their recommendations really helped us choose, and we were extremely happy with everything we tried. After a few days of partying in Ibiza, this was exactly the quality meal we needed, and it exceeded all of our expectations. A special thank you to our waitress, Judit, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our visit. She made the whole experience even more enjoyable and is a real credit to the restaurant. We would highly recommend Aragma to anyone visiting Ibiza and will definitely be back next time we’re on the island!

Excellent food and wonderful staff! If you want to experience authentic, high-quality local food in Ibiza, I can’t recommend this place enough. At first, it might seem a little pricey compared to some other options, but in my opinion, many of the overrated “sunset restaurants” are actually more expensive while offering much lower quality. This place is the real deal and absolutely worth it. ✨
Marisa Galisteo★★★★★
The food was delicious but the bread… oh my! They make their own bread and it shows. I ordered the shrimp croqueta as appetizer and it was a delicious bite. I had the 'mero' as main dish (see video). Each plate is served as a piece of art, and the flavors are really unique. Congratulations to the chef! This was my second time at this restaurant. I found it 4 years ago and had dinner by the fig tree. Truly special. I was looking forward to returning to Ibiza just to go eat here again!
Levi Waldron★★★★★
They treated me as a vegan very, very well. I started with the beetroot tartare starter with an almond and coconut cream which was a work of art. The eggplant starter was a wonderful, delicate, soft, small, whole eggplant covered with a sauce and full of flavor. For the main, they served me a vegetable fideua for one, making an exception to their usual rule of at least for two. The vegetables and pasta were in a thick, salty, very savory sauce. Overall filling, satisfying, delicious. Kind, attentive staff who checked ingredients and made modifications where necessary. A highlight of my trip to Ibiza!
Benny★★★★★
Beautiful restaurant with a very nice garden. The service was very good. The paella mixta we choose was tasteful. Even when it is cold you can enjoy the food insite the restaurant
Z P★★★★★
The service is amazing here. I usually can’t drink wine because it isn’t clearly labeled as vegan on the menu but they have many vegan wines here, just ask! The staff was not frustrated by my questions and helped me buy a bottle that made my mouth water. My friends got the paella here and said it was amazing!

The atmosphere and food were amazing and the truffle croquettes are a must try. I had the beef entrecôte, which was juicy and tender, paired with the crispy fries is just utterly amazing. However the server was a bit forgetful, but overall it’s quite good and definitely worth a try!
Adriana Oest★★★★★
We were there at the beginning of August, sat outside, and it had a really pleasant atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food blew us away so much that we ate there twice. Since I'm vegan, it was no problem to change some things for me, which impressed me a lot. When we go back to Ibiza, we can't wait to eat there again. Dekuji moc 🙂 Adri & Toni

Great place, great atmosphere, good food and the owner is such a nice and welcoming person.

Nice little place. Stopped for a cocktail. A might fine long island ice tea. Super friendly staff and fast service. We ordered some bread and olives, they gave us a free replacement. I will definitely revisit!
Katharina★★★★★
Wonderful vegetarin dishes, very delicious. There are also meat lover dishes but we loved the grilled artichokes, the beet root specialty, the croquettes, fantastic dessert.

I loved the homemade burger with homemade fries for my children. A super affordable price that allows parents to enjoy more refined dishes! The French wine was excellent! I highly recommend it!

We walked across the bay because this place was 5 stars and we wanted to try it and we agree it deserves its 5 stars. Best meal I’ve had on this side of the island hands down. The creamy mussels was my absolute favorite. The sauce was incredible. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and we got a pork special that was also insanely good.
Bas★★★★★
Amazing opening in Sant Antoni. A true addition to the city and one of the top-notch food spots that are slowly changing the food scene in SA. We stopped by late late night (after midnight) looking for a bite. When we saw this place, luckily got a table with the kitchen still open. The owners were so incredibly kind, and the chef was super welcoming. Even with only 2 people staff, they made insanely delicious food - all at very very reasonable prices. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Now only thing that remains: need to go visit the original one in Town 🙂
Stewart★★★★★
JUST phenomenal there are no words to explain how good the food is. We been to the Old town Ibiza spot a few times and this takes perfection to a next level. Focus on all the starters and share them. One of the best eating experiences we had on the island. Wow wow o wow. And thank you…..
Chris Smith★★★★★
What an incredible experience! Nicolas, the owner and server, made the night so personal and welcoming — you can tell he truly cares about every guest. We think it is a new restaurant; his second. He wants to make sure it is outstanding. Begona was cooking the meal and happened to be behind us in the kitchen. Such a lovely lady who was happy enough to advise us on the food. She was amazing. The food was incredible from start to finish. The butter was unbelievable (yes, the butter! I couldn’t believe how good the butter was!!), the octopus was cooked perfectly, and the beef tartare was spot on (no egg but amazing seasoning). The ceviche was fresh and vibrant, the raw red tuna dish was just awesome, and the pea risotto was absolutely delicious. Both the white and red wines were excellent and paired beautifully with the dishes. This place is a gem — amazing food, amazing wine, and Nicolas makes you feel like you’re dining with friends. Highly recommend! I’m pretty critical and this place is beyond words.

An unforgettable paella experience in Ibiza This magnificent restaurant is located in the San Antonio area of Ibiza and offers a breathtaking sunset view that accompanies you throughout the entire dinner. The setting alone is worth the visit, creating a relaxed and magical atmosphere. I had the pleasure of dining here in September with my friends, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The staff is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. They even offer the possibility of ordering a custom-made birthday cake for celebrations and special occasions, which is a lovely touch. We were a group of eight and decided to fully enjoy their signature dish: the paella. We ordered one seafood paella with shrimp only (paella de mariscos) for four people and one mixed paella with both meat and seafood (paella mixta) for the other four. The paella is without a doubt the highlight of the restaurant. Simply outstanding. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, and finished with that irresistible crispy socarrat at the bottom that makes it truly exceptional. Without hesitation, I can say it was the best paella I have ever had in all of Spain. The starters are also delicious and well worth trying, but the paella is the real star of the menu and an absolute must-order. A restaurant you cannot miss if you’re staying in Ibiza—especially if you love great food paired with an incredible sunset view. I can’t wait to come back.
Mehdi S★★★★★
Best restaurant in town! The food was really delicious. The paella was wonderful. And the service was stellar! People were so nice and attentive to every details. I would definitely go back next time I’m in Ibiza! And the atmosphere of the place was awesome!

We dined twice at Manila Restaurante Ibiza, and both times the food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The location is beautiful — just a short walk from the sea, with a lovely terrace offering stunning views. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, polite, and very attentive, which made the experience even better. ⭐ Food: 5 stars ⭐ Service: 5 stars ⭐ Location: 5 stars Highly recommended to anyone visiting Ibiza!

By far THE best paella in all of Sant Antoni de Portmay. Candalaria was our waitress and she was unbelievable! Food was incredible! Amazing vibes and beautiful views at Manila Restaurante. Definitely come here if you want an amazing meal and experience.

Quite possibly the best pasta I've ever had. They make it fresh and it's amazing. The space is a little small but the food is so good. We are visiting from Valencia and will make a point to stop here any time we are on the Island. I had the Mushrooms & Sausage and my wife had the 4 cheese. Both were super delicious and we're a good portion for the price.
Lieza vos★★★★★
Such a lovely little place. The restaurant is small, but that only adds to the charm. The pasta was incredible, you could immediately taste that it was freshly homemade, full of flavor and made with care. The owner was super friendly and kept checking in to make sure everything was okay, which made the whole experience feel very personal. A really nice spot if you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Ibiza.

The best pasta i’ve had in my life! You can tell it’s made fresh with love, so much care put into it! The service was super warm and inviting. We let the chef suggest a pasta el fredo and as soon as we took our first bite we were blown away! Delicious 10/10 If you’re in the area and are stuck for choice, you will be blown away!
Nick Cheneler★★★★★
Hands down the best bruschetta I’ve ever tasted – a flavour bomb! The carbonara and pesto pastas are both really tasty too!

I came here on our first evening in Ibiza located near the front on a side street the front looks lovely and is beautifully decorated on entering. Very clean and polished. We arrived just after opening so were the first people in there and on arrival we were happily greeted and given an appetiser while we perused the menu. The atmosphere was quiet people passing by. Faint music in the background the staff are lovely and very attentive. It would be so nice to see the place busier. The food although it took a little while to come out was divine but so fresh. My parter started with the bruschetta and it went down a treat although I don’t like tomatoes so I can’t personally comment, what I can comment on is there pasta it was stunning and freshly made cooked perfectly to al dente. My partner had the amatriciana which I tried and tested and have no cons to say and I had the truffle pasta which is a new edition to their menu consisting of egg fettuccine with parmesan and truffle. The portions are very fair for the price you pay. Would definitely recommend and would go back to next time we are here on the island.

I came here because of the great reviews and I was not disappointed. I had the best carbonara pasta ever, and the lava cake for dessert was absolutely amazing as well! The service was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone craving top-class pasta. Thanks again!

What an amazing place. We walked in, and immediately greeted with friendliness, and timely seating. We had 6 in our group, on a Sunday evening, we were promptly taken care of. The staff was so good, friendly, attentive. The star was Mr. Spencer, lol. He was awesome and kept checking on us. The food was excellent. The open air dining was fabulous. Such a great experience. Hard recommend.

The food, service and experience were absolutely incredible here ! This has to be the best place in San Antonio, even better than most Japanese cuisines on the whole of the island. Amazing portion sizes, delicious ingredients. The view is stunning. Perfect date night or for groups. We will be back! The wakame salad with salmon is a must, and the crunchy tuna!!!

Ukami is my favorite restaurant! The vibes are beautiful, it is right on the water making for a perfect night! The staff is amazing, everything comes out in great time! The passion fruit mojitos are soo good! My boyfriend and I split the omakase! It came with a little bit of everything from rock shrimp tacos, tostadas, nigiri, shashimi, and sushi. Everything is so fresh! The rock shrimp tacos are unreal. We added on the oysters and another roll. The oysters are AMAZING!! I would go back just for these!

Easy 5 stars!! Amazing location looking over the water on a roof, the food was great, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. It’s tough to say what my favorite items were because I loved them all, but the fried oysters, seared tuna, gyozas, and wagyu grilled at the table were delicious. I loved the margaritas too. This place needs more love as a new restaurant! Top quality experience.

One of the best meals of my life — and my favourite in Ibiza. Beachfront dining done beautifully: lovely furnishings, a breeze off the water, and an incredible view out to the port — especially at sunset. The food was faultless across two visits. First, some of the best calamari we've ever had, lobster linguine, and sea bass over potatoes, all perfectly cooked. Second, the Es Virot salad (charred goat's cheese, greens, grapes — the best salad we've had), then aged beef with a seared foie gras that melted in the mouth and black salt that made it sing. Dessert stole the night: a carrot cake with a salt edge, mandarin sorbet and vanilla custard that genuinely shocked me — one of the best things I've ever eaten. Service was flawless — the whole team looks after you, warm and passionate, and the open kitchen is a joy to watch. As someone who runs a restaurant myself, this is the bar. I'm surprised if it doesn't hold at least a Bib Gourmand.

We had a fantastic experience at Es Mirot. We arrived as a walk-in because we couldn’t make a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, they don’t have a website, and nobody answered the phone when we tried calling, so booking a table wasn’t easy. That’s probably the only downside. Once we arrived, they were able to accommodate us, and from that moment everything was excellent. The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The Gambas al Ajillo were, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavourful, and worth coming back for on their own. The seafood was exceptional. The lobster dish was absolutely delicious and, considering the quality and portion, offered excellent value for money. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout the evening without ever being intrusive. The atmosphere is lovely, and the restaurant has a warm, authentic feel. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. If I had one suggestion, it would be to make reservations easier by having a website or ensuring the phone is answered. Apart from that, everything was outstanding. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Ibiza.

We had a very enjoyable dinner at Es Virot and would happily return. The location is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths, offering a beautiful setting to enjoy the sunset and the relaxed atmosphere of Ibiza. We ordered the black paella, which was flavorful, well prepared, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The only small drawback was that it was slightly too salty for our taste, but overall it was still a very tasty dish that we enjoyed. The service was attentive throughout the meal. The staff was friendly, professional, and regularly checked in to make sure everything was fine without being intrusive. The pricing was fair for both the quality of the food and the excellent location, offering good value compared to many other restaurants in Ibiza. Overall, Es Virot combines good food, attentive service, reasonable prices, and a beautiful sunset setting. A very pleasant dining experience and definitely worth a visit when in Ibiza.

YUM! There were a few of us which meant I was able to try a few different dishes and everything was so yummy!! The roasted carrots with hazelnuts was a standout and of course the seafood paella which was perfection. Lovely spot on the water with nice atmosphere.

We came across this place by chance while browsing Google Maps, and we absolutely loved it. The paella was excellent. The octopus and the tomato salad with sardines were just as delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Used to go here years ago when I lived on the island, food quality has defo changed. Not a bad place to go at all, Id still recommend it, just not as good as it used to be.

It was eating like heaven. What a great choice of dishes. Prepares every dish with attention and passion, incredibly delicious. The service is top. Compliments. Highly recommended!!

Located in a quiet yet central street, this restaurant attracts locals as well as tourists. We got a table without a reservation but by 10pm it was full. A staff member asked where we were from before telling us whether there's a table available or not. Would my answer have changed the table availability? Who knows. What's important is that the food was great. Big portions though so make sure you don't get too much.

The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the flavors. However, the indoor area lacked proper ventilation. With the grill cooking, stone-cooked dishes, and rising fumes, the air felt heavy and uncomfortable at times. Improving airflow would definitely enhance the overall dining experience.

We visited for a big lunch before an event and we are so glad we did! What a lovely spot with great food and big portions! They have a lunchtime set menu 2 or 3 courses for £18 or €25. We didn't eat off this but it's great value. It's only available during lunchtime service so 3.30pm is the last sitting ( I think!) We all had steaks which were cooked very well and well seasoned too. Friendly service and nice location outside to watch the world go by. Definitely recommend and would go back!

Golden Buddha is an Icon in San Antonio, really nice place and great views, if you walk in from the Street you walk in disappointed as it caters to people walking on the promenade (sea side) but the place is nice, little dark inside but great outside. Seems disorganized as there is no receptionist due to the fact they have two entrances, so you need to manage yourself to find seating. We went early, this is a place for sunsets but service should be the same no matter when you go. The service once established was very good, coutrious and efficient, food comes fast and drinks also. Great place to spend a meal, Ibiza pricing as it is little high but the portions are good and the food is great. Food for everyone and if you can spend 30-40€ per person this is a great choice due to ambaince and fame. I eill be back for their burger and maybe sunset. I recommend this place.

Super chilled and relaxed restaurant with cool decor. A really good place for sunsets directly in front of the beach. For drinks we just had beers and we did order a sangria bit was very sweet and tasty but extremely weak on alcohol. Amazing patatas bravas, definitely must order. Everything else we tried was fine not amazing but acceptable. Service kinda slow, waited for than 15 mins to receive our change which was over 10€ and we had to ask them for it.

Very beautiful place, but the desserts were nothing like authentic Italian desserts. The main dishes were overly salty, and the lemon sauce was also far too strong and overpowering.

A lovely restaurant with a nice chill out vibe. Beautifully decorated, we took cover from the rain here for a whole afternoon and the comfy lounger sofas were perfect for chilling out on. Mixed reviews on food - my goat cheese salad was excellent but my partners Ibizan pizza was very oily and lacking in flavour and texture. My cocktail was also very good. We would come back here for the location and ambience, preferably at better weather, so that we could sit outside in various parts of the place and watch the sunset.

Friends and I came here on a whim our first night together in Ibiza for a late dinner. We shared appetizers and each got drinks and a main. We split the delicious chicken skewers and nachos. I loved the recommended spicy red curry with shrimp, while my friends got the steak dish (they both weren’t a fan though). The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful and the restaurant hours is til late so perfect for a chic late dinner in town. Unfortunately I only captured our appetizers but the red curry shrimp was delicious!

Nice restaurant where you can sit outside. Cars are passing by, but not too many and not disturbing. The man who served us was very friendly. We didn’t have to wait long. We ordered 4 tapas for 2 persons. They we’re homemade and delicious. Afterwards we ordered a fifth but that was just to much

Simple place with a great local vibe and a menu that made me want to come back. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the tapas were excellent. We had the shrimp (absolutely delicious), a mixed salad with peaches, and the potatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth it. The sangria and beer were refreshing, and the service was friendly as well. Nothing fancy, just simple food done really well. Lovely place. 💜

We stayed in San Antonio for a few days near this place, and I have to admit, it was the only restaurant in the area that served dishes that didn't look like they were for tourists. We were really pleased with the service and, above all, the speed of the food. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the bald man who served us twice

The best restaurant I’ve tried in Ibiza, literally the best. Top flavors and good portions! All dishes are freshly made, the garlic prawns are absolutely the highlight 🥰 came from bottom of my heart and can only recommend!

Tips for Choosing a Great Restaurant in San Antonio

A little local knowledge can transform your dining experience in San Antonio. While the town is packed with places to eat, quality varies significantly, and the best tables are not always the most visible ones. These practical tips will help you navigate the scene with confidence, avoid common disappointments, and eat like a local rather than a first-time visitor.

Book ahead for sunset and weekend dinners. The most popular restaurants fill up quickly, especially between 8pm and 10pm from June to September. A same-day reservation is often essential if you want a terrace table with a view.

Step one or two streets back from the main promenade. Prices drop and quality often rises when you leave the most tourist-heavy stretch. Some of the finest family-run kitchens are located in the quieter lanes behind the marina and around the church square.

Look for seasonal seafood and daily specials. Menus that change with the catch or the market are a strong sign of a kitchen that prioritises freshness. Ask what has come in that day rather than automatically ordering the familiar tourist staples.

Embrace Spanish dining hours. Lunch is typically served from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, while dinner rarely starts before 8pm. Eating earlier may leave you in an empty room, while eating later puts you among locals and gives the restaurant time to hit its stride.

Check whether the paella is made to order. Authentic paella takes time and should never appear within ten minutes of ordering. The best versions are prepared fresh per person or per table, so expect to wait at least thirty to forty minutes.

San Antonio rewards diners who are willing to explore beyond the obvious. The town’s culinary identity is far deeper than its reputation as a nightlife hub might suggest, and a little curiosity will lead you to meals that linger in the memory long after the holiday ends. From grilled octopus on a shaded terrace to slow-cooked lamb in a rustic dining room, the flavours here tell the story of Ibiza itself.

Take your time, ask questions, and let the rhythm of the island guide your choices. Whether you stay for a weekend or a full season, San Antonio’s best restaurants offer a genuine taste of the Mediterranean that no guidebook can fully capture.
