Finding the right place to stay can transform a simple holiday into an unforgettable experience. In Puerto de la Cruz, the unique volcanic landscape of Tenerife meets the vast Atlantic Ocean, creating a destination that is both dramatic and relaxing. Unlike the arid south of the island, this northern gem offers lush botanical gardens, historic architecture, and a vibrant local culture that has welcomed travelers for over a century.
The townβs geography is defined by its striking black sand beaches and natural saltwater pools designed by the famous architect CΓ©sar Manrique. Staying near the waterfront means you are steps away from the soothing sound of waves and the fresh ocean breeze. It also places you in the heart of the action, where traditional seafood restaurants and lively plazas are just a short stroll from your room.
Choosing accommodation in this area requires a balance between ocean access, comfort, and the unique microclimate of the north. While the weather is generally mild year-round, the proximity to the sea often provides a refreshing respite from the warmer inland temperatures. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a solo retreat, the right hotel can serve as your sanctuary.
The hospitality scene here is diverse, ranging from grand historic establishments that have hosted royalty to modern boutique hotels with rooftop infinity pools. Many properties are built into the cliffs, offering panoramic views of the coastline and Mount Teide in the distance. This variety ensures that there is a perfect match for every budget and travel style.
However, navigating the sheer number of options can be overwhelming. It is important to look beyond the star rating and consider the actual distance to the sand, the availability of sea-view balconies, and the quality of the on-site amenities. Details like soundproofing, parking availability, and pool heating can significantly impact the quality of your stay.
We have curated a selection of the best beachfront and near-beach accommodations to simplify your planning. These properties have been chosen for their exceptional locations, consistent guest satisfaction, and unique character. They represent the very best that this historic coastal town has to offer.
Below, you will find a detailed guide to the top hotels that keep you close to the water without sacrificing comfort or style.

Before coming here, I was worried because of the low reviews, but my 7 days here were perfect.
The hotel is located really well, almost central, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are okay, nothing special, but they are clean and adequate, especially considering the price.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were also good. There was something for everyone, including meat, fish, and plenty of vegetables. The staff were friendly and nice throughout my stay.
The hotel bar is also affordable, and there is usually some entertainment on most evenings.
Based on my experience, I would recommend this place.

β 1/5 β THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT.
Absolutely disgusting treatment of guests. In the restaurant, the staff grabbed me by the arms and touched/poked my head without my consent, simply because I entered with a towel on my head. The sign at the entrance said that guests were not allowed to enter wearing swimwear. If the hotel has additional rules, they can be explained politely β there is absolutely no reason to put your hands on a guest.
When I went to the reception to complain, the man there started shouting at me and spoke to me in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation.
The staff barely speak English, making it extremely difficult to communicate or resolve any issue. After I complained, our room was no longer properly cleaned.
This is not hospitality β it is blatant rudeness and complete disrespect for guestsβ personal boundaries. I have never experienced such disgusting treatment in a hotel.
Horrible staff, horrible service, and a completely ruined holiday. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you respect yourself, choose another hotel.

Me and my mum stayed here friday the 7th until monday the 10th and we had an amazing time. The rooms are cute and almost every balcony you look from you can see the sea and all the way down to the black sandy beach. cleanliness was as expected great quality this hotel is used very frequently by locals so given the amount of use this place gets you cannot expect it to be show homey. Each room has most of the essentials I.e full length mirror, t.v with english music channels free, sofa, Towels toiletries but excluding tea making facilities. But if people actually chat to the staff nicely they explain why they dont have them in the rooms ready and available and at no extra charge a kettle and cups ect can be provided. They explain everything in detail and dont find it any bother to repeating themselves so we totally understand. It is located in the most idle spot for people who want busy but not strip life. Its still lively till 3 4 am and have 24hr shops available which is very handy. It is a 5 minute walk to any part of the black sandy beach but also a 5 minute walk to a huge water/pool park. Sooo many things to see beautiful areas to photoraph and the people are all so very lovely. We stayed on 3rd floor room 308 and we could not hear the live music playing in the bar down stairs and across the room from the hotel is a lovely absolutely adorable child and pet friendly pud that are so happy and friendly makes you not want to leave. And unless you open your balcony door you cannot really hear their music. So many restaurant close by even a McDonald's. But honestly we will be going back and we do hope that we can stay in the same room as we did because it was perfect π And to top it all off all the staff were so atentful could not help us enough we only had 1 member of staff that we felt was not very professional and should of maybe picked a different profession but again staff were happy to listen and take action on the complaint so to end there is genuinely not a bad thing to say about our stay with concordia playa hotel. Thank you all so very much. Hopefully see you again soon. Top tip for people staying any where in Spain tea is not really their area of expertise its is alcohol and coffee (haha) they do have u.k stuff like tea bags actual cow milk in store like bigger market places just ask and you shall recieve guys π.

Dear all,
I stayed at this hotel in August 2025 during the high season, arriving late at night with my 7-year-old son. Before arriving I emailed the hotel requesting a child-friendly room, but I never received any reply.
My sister and her family arrived a few hours earlier and asked reception if we could have rooms next to each other. They were told this would be arranged, but it never happened. They were placed on the 1st floor while we were put on the 6th floor.
The noise levels were terrible both outside and inside the hotel, making it very difficult to rest. The room itself was in a shocking condition: broken curtains, chipped sinks, and furniture that looked extremely old and worn out. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathroom, especially under the shower and around the toilet, was clearly not properly cleaned, and the windows were greasy as if they had not been wiped in a very long time.
To make matters worse, we found large bugs in the bathroom. I called housekeeping and a staff member came quickly to spray, which I appreciated, but this should never happen in the first place. The air conditioning barely worked and felt more like a weak fan, and the room phone was completely non-functional.
The restaurant on the lower floor was also very disappointing. The area looked greasy and dirty, and we literally had to avoid bugs on the floor while walking. The food looked tired and unappealing. While a few staff members were polite, overall the service and standards were extremely poor. The swimming pool veri dirty, lifeguard was OK and always there.
This was a very unpleasant experience, especially traveling with a child. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel and I would never stay here again.

We had an awful experience. We used to stay in this hotel but never again. The food quality went down so bad. But the main reason was that we stayed in 917 and on the same floor there was a couple fighting from 2:30 am. We called the recepcion and they said they know what is happening. In the end at 4:30 my husband had to go tell the guy to leave. Then he realised the woman was bitten up really bad, her t-shirt full of blood and her face was swollen badly. The hotel absoluty failed the lady and all the guest who had sleepless night. They said that they called the police, clearly not in time as we are living on the island and it doesnt take 2 hours for them
To arrive. During our check out no appology nothing was said, just they said that they handled the situation. Very very poorly.

Plenty of positives at this hotel:
-Well-located, close to the centre of Puerto De La Cruz and the bus station.
-Friendly staff - whether at the reception desk, pool bar or inside the restaurant.
-High standards of cleanliness in the room.
-A generous range of cooked options available for breakfast.
-Air conditioning worked well.
Biggest criticism:
-Aspects of the room were quite tired (316). The ceiling close to the door showed evidence of a leak. The grouting in the bathroom needs attention. The room lacked a 'tidy finish'.
Other comments:
-The showers warm up very quickly - there's not necessarily a satisfactory midpoint between hot and cold.
-A little noisy in the early hours - some teenagers charging down the corridors at 3 o'clock. I am not blaming the staff for these individuals' selfish behaviour, but perhaps closer monitoring of the communal areas in the early morning would be advantageous.
(We did stay whilst a water polo tournament took place - the hotel was particularly full of teenagers. Breakfast, in particular, was very busy.)

A spotless clean hotel in a great location with an amazing roof terrace with two swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds.
Breakfast was totally amazing with a huge selection of pasties and hot food (including English sausage) to suit any taste.
We made mistakes of going Half Board and - compared to the breakfast - dinner was a massive disappointment and we would not choose Half Board again here.
It seems that most guests go Bed and Breakfast so the restaurant - which feels more like a school canteen - works well for Breakfast but lacks any atmosphere whatsoever for dinner.
Dinner food choice was poor, dishes were tepid, the "show cooking" where the chef cooks meat / fish to order from the diner was non existent and the whole experience was terrible.
As a result - even though we only booked for 3 nights - we ate out on the last night having visited the restaurant and were underwhelmed by their dinner selection.
Overall - great hotel but don't go Half Board!

Definitely not a room with a view. The balcony is small with artificial grass on the floor which in my view is unhygienic as it cant be washed like tiles. There a screen around the balcony which is above eye level when seated which totally blocks your vision and makes the space clostarahhobic. Across the road from my 4th floor room was a derelict hotel which was also the pickup point for drop off and departures by Jet2 whom I travelled with.
On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the room a reasonable size. It was cleaned daily.
The food was very basic and mainly served cold even though I was amongst the first into the restraunt for meals. I was staying on a half board basis which was a mistake in hindsight. You were required to sign and put down your room number for even a drink of water with your evening meal to ensure it was paid for. There was no water available at this hotel other than if you purchased it on level 6 at the pool bar and no social communal area where you could sit and have a cocktail.
Whist there was a small bar to the right of the reception this was rarely staffed and during my stay it remained closed. When I asked where I could have a drink I was told by the man on reception I should go to a local supermarket and purchase water etc and use the fridge in the room. It was so small and full of cans of coke etc which were extortionally priced and no water.
There was a problem with the wyfi and tv in the room and despite repeatedly reporting this it was not fixed for several days. The bathroom was nice and spacious and a good powerful shower. The towels were hard and very small which I didnt mind because there were two of each. However on the second day they took away the second bath towel which wasn't replaced. To prevent this happning with the rest of the towels I usually tidied the room myself and asked the domestic to empty the bins only. The only issue with the bathroom is privacy as there is a glass door which anyone can easily see through if your showering or using the toilet. As a solo traveller this wasn't a problem but it definitely would be for anyone sharing a room.
There is a nice pool area on floor 6 the loungers were comfortable and parasols were available at the bar if requested. However it was overcast the whole week I was there June 7th to 14th 2026 and there were only a few people around the pool and one bar staff on duty.
The location is okay for anyone who doesn't have mobility problems. To reach the main shopping area, where there are a range of restaurants and a nice little sea view, there is a pathway about one hundred meters from the hotel. However this pathway is a very steep walk and I observed several people struggling with the gradient despite there being a metal railing to assist. Despite being reasonably fit I definitely could feel the adverse effects on my knees after my second day and decided to give the retail therapy a miss for a few days. On this basis I feel the location is not suitable for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues.
Being a solo traveller and the weather being overcast there was absolutely nothing to do at the hotel and with the absence of a communal area or facilities like an entertainment programme this hotel fell well short of the 4 star rating provided by Jet2. It was so boring at the hotel that I spent most of my holiday sitting in the room with not even a working TV or on the shaded balcony without a view and artificial plastic grass under my feet.
This hotel was the most basic of accomodation I've ever stayed at and I've travelled extensively throughout the world and usually go on holidays at least three times per year. Overall a very disappointing experience.

I do not like to write negative reviews but the pictures they put up are misleading.
IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES AT ALL.
I chose this one because of how it was presented online. Which is a bit of a trap and misleading.
The pictures of the buffet online dont add up:
Fruit is from cannes
Food is poor quality
no airconditioning
The room looks big and modern online
Room is tiny
The staff is very friendly everywhere(restaurant, reception) and cleaning is ok.

Good location, friendly staff, clean hotel.
Food wasn't brilliant, same choices for breakfast every day, dinners were quite bland and not really much choice. Food wasn't labelled so if you have any Food intolerance you have to be careful. No air con in the whole hotel so room was very hot and stuffy, we finally got a fan after 3 very hot days but that just sent the sticky air around the room.
I know this next item won't matter to a lot of people but No Smoking allowed in the hotel or balconies, only a small section near to the pool, even if you were on the sunbeds around the pool you had to leave them to go to the "Smokers Corner". Last thing was that we were refused dinner (which we weren't aware of) so the last day even though we paid an extra β¬60 for a late checkout, we had no food after breakfast until we got home at 4am the following day.

We had wonderful time at the hotel! The staff and manager were so friendly and welcoming. We weβre traveling with a baby and they were so attentive to our wishes. The location is great! So close to the city center yet quite enough.. at night you even hear the waves from the sea! So overall itβs really worth the money!
For improving purposes I would say that the breakfast was a bit boring.. everyday the same thing more or less.. I missed Jamon and grained tomatoes and also olives were missing.. also in relation to breakfast I would say that even if itβs through at 9:30 am it would have been nicer if the staff didnβt turn of the lights while guests still finishing their meal. Makes you feel under tension..
overall thanks a lot for the lovely stay! We enjoyed it very much!

Great price for a triple room with a baby. We stayed only for a night. The staff was helpful and nice. The location is great, very close to the beach and city centre. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. Yes, slightly noisier due to the hospitality near by, but nothing too much. They closed around 11 pm anyway. The rooms had ocean view and a nice big terrace with a view to the street too. Sheets were cleaned and smelled nice. The room smelled a bit strongly of a cleaning chemical. The furniture, the halls, balcony, everything was old. Canβt complain for this price tho. But it was dirty - dirty floors, dirty chair on the terrace and spider webs in the room. We were with a crawling baby and can see all the dirt coming to her clothes.

My son and l spent two nights at the hotel on November 2025. The hotel is tremendous for the price and the situation is excellent. It was a clean and fresh room with a balcony.
I would add that the white tiled rail on the balcony had some loose stonework which could easily be dislodged and injure someone below. We were in room 301

As the other comments say, it's a terrible hotel. Overpriced a lot for what they can offer. Paid β¬56 one night like for 4ββββ hotels while ot wasn't worth even β¬20 . Poor quality overall, but it is not a problem. The real problem is huge noise in it. It's a well, not a building. Forget about sleeping. Not in that hotel. The other bad thing is location. Horror scenic. The pluses were the balcony, nice old stylish decoration in room, very nice reception.

We stayed here with my girlfriend and everything was wonderful. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning hotel, we've stated here twice now & we adore the hotel, staff are lovely, especially the cleaners who go above & beyond, nothing is a problem for any of the staff, the bar staff are all lovely.

The breakfast catered for all, from cereal, to full English plus naughty cake which was fully indulged on π€£

We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. We paid extra for a pool view, which I would recommend as it gave us a great view of Mount Teide from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners did a good job. The gardens and pool area are well kept and immaculate. As it was not too busy at this time of year, we had no problem choosing sun beds. The was some traffic noise from the road which you notice near the pool. The reception desk staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were friendly. The chefs prepared separate dinners, of my daughter's choice (requested a night in advance), to cater for her food allergies; this was a great help in ensuring that she was safe eating there. I do not know how anyone can complain about the choice of foods at breakfast or dinner; we were impressed with the variety and quality. Breakfast was always delicious with the chefs cooking hot foods in the restaurant to serve straight to guests, also a great pastry selection, plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt. The evening entertainment could be improved- it was a bit dull. We usually enjoyed a quiet drink in the lounge after dinner and the bar service was good. The hotel is located on a hill and we didn't mind walking to/from the town as we are active; some people will need to use a taxi to avoid the uphill climb back to the hotel. For us this was a great choice of hotel and we were very happy guests.

This hotel was overall pretty good. The rooms were clean, one sink wasnt draining properly and the shower would randomly go cold or very hot. We paid extra for sea view and lets just say the sea wasnt very visible. Rooms have daily cleaning if you wanted it and the staff were very nice and friendly (poolside bar and cleaning staff). Reception staff looked like they didnt want to be there and we werent once greeted with a smile however were helpful in terms of taxiβs. I thought the breakfast was nice with lots of options so i dont understand the fuss in reviews about that. If you want to stay up on your balcony dont bother because they are all close together and we were making minimal noise at 11pm and got shouted by a lady - hotel is filled with old people. The pools are good and 2 jacuzzis. There is also a rooftop pool but thats only for βnudistsβ which i thought was weird because its very uncommon to want to swim and be naked around strangers. Making it an 18+ normal pool would be much better and more accessible for everyone. Poolside food is not bad at all. Cocktails and Smoothies are very nice. It is a bit of a walk to the town (especially on the way back - extreme uphill). Overall not bad but could do with some improvement

We booked two rooms for our stay. One of the rooms the fridge wasn't working and both the showers weren't working properly. One of the rooms had a bad smell coming from the tray in the cupboard underneath the plates. I tried to soak it off but was still there. It looked like milk had been dropped on it and left to stain it. It did not smell nice. Other than that everything was fine. Its a cheap and cheerful hotel which is in a great location

From the start, we had sketchy vibes about this hotel. The main entrance is poorly signposted, and on first impression it looks like the Skechers shop below should be the reception (hint: it isnβt).
Check-in itself was easy, and the man at reception was helpful. However, we couldnβt help but notice a leaflet taped to the check-in desk stating βno drug use, no weapons, and no alcohol,β which seemed a little strange and concerning.
Getting to our room was also difficult. We had to take one elevator, walk down a long corridor, and then take a second elevator to reach our floor. The hallways were narrow and dark, and on every room number there appeared to be a painted marijuana leaf, which added to the uneasy atmosphere.
When we entered the room, we did a standard cleanliness check. Within seconds, we found multiple problems. In the bathroom, there were brown stains in the bath, and above the shower the ceiling was peeling and covered in black mold. There was also hair in both the bath and the sink, and we even saw a small cockroach near the sink. It was so unhygienic that we chose not to shower that day.
The bedroom was not much better. The bedsheets had stains, the pillows were lumpy, and the sprung mattress was uncomfortable and hard. There were also cigarette burns on the bed covers. Inside the cupboard, there were exposed wires hanging out of the wall. We didn't know if they were live but if they are they represent a serious safety and fire hazard.
As other reviews have mentioned, the rooms are extremely noisy, with no sound insulation. Live music from the square outside continued past midnight, and even after it stopped, we were repeatedly woken by people talking in the corridors and slamming doors.
This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Do yourself a favour and pay an extra β¬30 for a better hotel β you wonβt regret it.

The hotelβs location is convenient for an overnight stay when visiting Loro Parque. Itβs just a short walk to the train station for Loro Parque and there are plenty of shops nearby. However, be aware that it can be quite noisy outside. The room doesnβt have air conditioning or a fan, only a window that can be opened, so it may stay noisy until around midnight.
The room is equipped with all the essentials. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m., which I found convenient. The food selection is quite good, with plenty of fruit and four types of cooked eggs. For coffee, Iβd recommend make a double espresso with milk from the counter rather than using the machine.
Overall, itβs a good option for a short stay.

Filthy hotel in every way, also full of cockroaches.Staff Jose Luis and Ana very unprofessional, rude, ignorant, unfriendly,Marco is very professional, kind, friendly.
Really noisey music and singing next door every night until midnight, impossible to sleep, even with ear plugs !!!
Room door cards very difficult to use.I was up and down the stairs and lift 6 times to have cards changed at reception,in the end a cleaner showed me how to use card, not easy at all.
TV in room with screen peeling, remote control did not work,so no tv that I paid for.
2 hotels together,1 reception, entrance almost impossible to find,a crazy set up.
Check in takes a very long time always, only 1 person on desk, always.Management have 0 interest.Live cables hanging from walls in many places, this is so dangerous.
Not recommened ever. This very Dirty Hotel needs to be investigated A.S.A.P. !!!!!

The hotel itself was stunning, with beautiful views surrounded by mountains and with the sea visible from the property. We really loved our room, and as we had booked the premium service, we received champagne on arrival and had a complimentary minibar, which was a lovely touch.
We did have some difficulty with the language, as there were only a few English-speaking staff members. Breakfast was good for us as premium members, as we had access to an Γ la carte option. However, for non-premium guests, there didnβt seem to be many vegetarian choices.
Dinner was more challenging, especially for vegetarians. We struggled to find suitable vegetarian dishes and often ended up having salads. When we asked if the chef could prepare something vegetarian, the staff werenβt particularly helpful, which was disappointing.
The entertainment was okay, although if you donβt understand Spanish, it can be quite difficult to follow and enjoy. The kidsβ pool area was also quite small compared with the much larger adults-only pool.
Overall, we really liked the hotel, its beautiful location and the rooms, but the limited vegetarian food options and the entertainment were definitely the main areas that let the experience down.

Warning for the things I missed or were unclear from the website:
Specifically booked for 2 bedroom suite, with twin single beds for my son and daughter. Arrived late and found only doubles. Unable to move as fully booked, so having to make do with a temp bed in living room. Not ideal.
No aircon in bedrooms (living room only) so feel picture showing air con is misleading. Rooms very warm at night and lots of noise for nearby motorway and nice 3am and 6am wake ups daily with the local bin lorry depot nearby.
Location seems OK but on reflection I should have researched more as 1 hour drive from airport and the hill it is on is huge so have to drive everywhere or get a local shuttle bus.
Food is OK, not amazing. Breakfast always very busy. Drinks purchased separately unless all inclusive.
In short, website is probably a bit vague and its not as nice as it looks.
Main pool is much smaller and shallower than it looked so not used it. Shame as that is the heated one.

The hotel is situated on top of a dormant volcano only access is via very steep winding road. The free shuttle bus service is essential if you don't have a car. The grounds and views are stunning. The staff are very friendly and offer waiter service in both pool bar and volcano bar. As part of all inclusive you have Jim Beam, Smirnoff and local branded spirits. The rooms are very spacious, a little dated but clean and tidy. We had a mountain view room, the balcony had an amazing view including the tip of Tiede. The only disappointment was the food. Breakfast is always very hectic but a good selection with fresh omelette, fried eggs and pancakes. Lunch is very limited as it appears only a handful of guests go down for lunch. Evenings have slightly more choice, oddly, often the only potato option was chips. But there is a great selection of cold meats and cheeses. Unfortunately at all three meal times the food is rarely that hot, quite often cold if you get in within 5 minutes of opening. The hotel is definitely 4 star but sadly the food is not and is at best 3 star.

Just wanted to say, the hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful. Special regards to Alfonso at the front desk who really set the great standard for the hotel when we first arrived and during our stay and the housekeeping staff who did a fantastic job throughout. The hotel itself is wonderful with an amazing view of Tiede, the sea and the two big pools on the premises, well maintained and thereβs a number of different activities to do onsite. Local shops & shopping centre nearby about 5mins drive in both directions

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing in several aspects.
The booking clearly stated complimentary minibar; however, there was no minibar at all in the room, and we did not even receive bottled water. Because of this, we did not buy water before arrival, which turned out to be a mistake. After check-in, the receptionist (who was otherwise kind) told us to ask on the next day Daniel about it. Honestly, guests should not have to chase or ask repeatedly for something that was promised, especially while on vacation. This should have been handled by reception.
On our last day, we had to leave at 4:00 a.m., so we could not have breakfast. We asked someone at reception whether the breakfast (we had breakfast and dinner included) could be exchanged for lunch on another day, but the answer was no. As a result, one meal was simply lost, which felt very inflexible.
The sound insulation is very poor. We stayed in room 324 and could clearly hear intimate activity and loud noises from the room (probably) above, which was uncomfortable and disturbing. As we had to wake at 3AM, couldnβt sleep and had to travel without almost any sleep.
The food was average. Pancakes were good.
Some room details were poorly designed:
β’ The toilet paper holder is about 80 cm away from the toilet
β’ The soap dispenser is about 1 meter away from the sink
β’ The TV itself is good, but there is a mirror directly opposite it, so the reflection is constantly visible on the screen
There are only two disabled parking spaces, which seems insufficient.
On the terrace, smoking is allowed on some tables and when the wind blows, the smoke goes directly toward guests while they are eating. I mentioned this to a waitress, and the only solution offered was that I could move to another table, which is not acceptable.
On a positive note, the cleaning staff were excellent, and some of the waiters were also very professional β especially Jesus, who was polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Also, the view is amazing and the pool too.
As a final note, in the restaurant, premium suite guests were seated separately and staff regularly went to their tables to chat and ask if everything was okay. During our entire stay, no one did the same with us.
Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations, and several of these issues could be easily improved with better management and a more guest-oriented approach.

I believe it is family own, very nice small hotel in very quiet location. Fairly close, walking distance to the centre of Puerto de la Cruz and sea shore.
Continental breakfast every morning at very reasonable price, swimming pool and super friendly staff.
Simple rooms, but you are not going to waste your holiday in Tenerife watching TV in a hotel. Beds are comfortable for good night sleep, hot water in private bathroom keeps you fresh for another joyful day of discovering places, fun and fantastic food.

nice staff, amazing value, parking potentially an issue if hotel is full (but parking is just on the street), some lady from the neighborhood was borderline harassing so not sure what that was about but not in a central "tourist" area... cleaning chemicals are crazy intense, careful if you're allergic or sensitive. basically it's a typical kind of building, so no sound isolation and staff leave at 10:30 pm so rowdy guests anywhere in the hotel will be heard clearly and nobody will stop them. all that said, the price makes up for everything (28 euros a night)

I stayed from August 26 to August 30. It was peak season, but it was relatively cheap, so I didnβt have high expectations, but it was a single room with a bathroom and toilet that I could use alone, and the owner was very kind. I asked if there was a coffee pot because I needed to drink hot water, and they brought it to my room so I could use it. And the hotel was located in a relatively quiet residential area, so it was the perfect place to relax as originally planned. There was also a well-maintained swimming pool that was open from 10:00 to 19:00, and the view of Mt. Teide from the rooftop was amazing. It was a very satisfying trip, and if I come back to Tenerife, I will definitely book and stay there again. Highly recommendedππ½

Staying at the adults-only Radisson was such a wonderful experience so tranquil, quiet, and peaceful. They welcome you with a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, and if you book the breakfast package, you get another free glass of bubbly to start your day!
Also at night there was a live music and we ordered vodka and sprite as you see on the photo the sprite is not even in the glass yet thats the pure absolute vodka and thats a lot and we were so surprised and loving it haha
The breakfast spread itself is incredible with so many options, and I absolutely loved how fresh the honey was (as you can see in the photo I posted). The view from the restaurant was amazing. Our room was excellent; the bed was spacious and incredibly comfortable, and it featured a huge TV.
Itβs also highly convenient if you donβt have a car, as there are buses running past the hotel all the time. The swimming pool was fantastic, too. All in all, we had an amazing stay and highly recommend it! π

Not a bad word to say! The hotel is absolutely immaculate, the food is great, nice and fresh. All the staff are very polite and always helpful. In particular David, who made the most amazing cocktails! He was very friendly and helpful with recommending places around the area. The food at the magma bar was also unreal! The chicken and beef burger was 10/10π We stayed in Room 1013.

From the very first step, I felt comfortable at the hotel. There was a warm welcome, the entire complex is ideally laid out, and there is a large pool with plenty of sun loungers. The breakfast was great, and the rooms are quiet. The staff is mostly kind, with the exception of a few individuals, but I didn't let that spoil my stay.
The hotel dates back to 1963 (or thereabouts), but it has been successfully renovated.
What is very disappointingβand it really bothers meβis the coffee. In the rooms, there is only instant coffee with a kettle; I would expect a capsule espresso machine, which is standard for a hotel of this category these days. Itβs the same at breakfast: NescafΓ© π I would deduct one star for that, but fortunately, they do serve a proper espresso at the bar.

Itβs more of an excellent 4-star than a 5-star, but thatβs not what people come here for (the value for money is excellent). This hotel stay was fantastic, clean and modern rooms, great pool, bar / restaurant was fantastic and some nights there was entertainment on e.g a Saxaphone player which was lovely.
If you donβt know much about Tenerife this is on the other side of the island so if youβre wanting a party style trip Iβd look at las americas not Puerto de la Cruz but for our trip which was chilled and relaxing it was perfect.
Our room came with twin beds, and when we asked if it could be made into a king the housekeeper Ivan was fantastic and fixed the bed immediately.
Breakfast was lovely, definitely not the typical English breakfast but several options so something to satisfy anyone. Roberto went above and beyond for us in terms of breakfast service and found us anything we needed. They also make eggs on command e.g poached, fried, scrambled eggs, the eggs Gabriel made were delicious my husband loved them.
Overall a great experience and stay would reccomend π

The best stay ever! When we first saw the offer, we weren't sure because of the reviews. However, we were absolutely delighted. The room turned out to be a large apartment with a kitchenette. The only downsides were the lack of air conditioning (only a large fan, but luckily, Tenerife doesn't get hot) and the room being close to the road. The food was delicious, especially the seafood. Next to the buffet, there was a bar showing football matches, which people came to passionately support Spain. The atmosphere in this hotel was wonderful! We will definitely be back someday.

Great location, close to the beach, shops, the bus station, and a nice rooftop pool. The cleaning service left much to be desired. The maid simply didn't come to our room, and we had to search for her, and the trash can was already stinking terribly. My daughter wasn't given a blanket for the extra bed, only a sheet to cover herself with. We mentioned this at reception the next morning, and they gave us a thin blanket. But it was still cold and uncomfortable to sleep in. There's no kettle in the rooms, which is very strange. You can rent one from reception for an extra fee, which is even more disappointing.
And poor sound insulation, you can hear the noise of cars and neighbors.

My partner and I spent a couple of nights at the Silken Saaj Maar as this was to celebrate my partners birthday. Our booking was last minute and I wanted to organise something special for our arrival. A quick email to guest services and they were able to offer packagaes (at an extra cost, but not stupidly expensive). They were able to sort this super quick as they had to sort this the morning of our arrival. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on our arrival and recognised that we were staying for a special occasion.
Once checked into our room, we received a knock at the door from housekeeping, who gave us a complimentary gift from the Silken Saaj Maar team which was a truly wonderful touch for such a special occasion.
The views from our deluxe sea view room were stunning, the bed brilliantly located in the centre of the room, to take advantage of the views as you wake up. The bed was super comfy, making for a brilliant night sleep.
Rooftop was a lovely sun spot, with a little plunge pool, great for cooling down. Plenty of sun beds are available so there wasnt a need to get up to the rooftop early.
The hotel is situated in a great location and right on the sea front, with plenty of bars and restaurants in close proximity.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Silken Saaj Maar and both me and my partner will definately be returning again in the future. Thank you for making this a truly memorable visit.

I had a wonderful stay and felt truly welcomed from the moment I arrived. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the warm, friendly atmosphere and the genuine care shown by the staff throughout my stay.
A very special thank you to all the reception staff for their kindness and for helping me organize my hiking trips. Their assistance, patience, and local knowledge made my experience so much easier and more enjoyable.

Incredible view and attentive service. We stayed here this May for four days to celebrate my spouseβs birthday. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The hotel is clean, beautifully designed, and conveniently located close to everything.
I should mention there was an issue with our reservation: we were initially given a room with twin beds instead of a double bed, which was quite important for us. I requested a change, but no double rooms were available that day. However, the staff made a genuine effort to improve our comfort - they were super attentive, offered complimentary drinks, and the next morning we were given a different, better room.
Iβm grateful for the kind assistance we received.

The Silken Saaj Maar is ideal for us, we've been to Puerto de la Cruz many times and stayed in a few different hotels. We love Silken Saaj Maar because the location is perfect for access to restaurants, bars and the sea. The views from the seaview rooms are exceptional and the roof terrace is amazing.
The staff are all incredibly friendly and I have to give a special mention to Carlos who has been helping me speak better Spanish each visit we make.
Would recommend the club rooms when booking as you get a larger balcony and a bath.
Being adults only the hotel is very relaxed and the rooftop is very rarely full, so no fighting for sun loungers.
The only thing I would like to see improved is that certain aspects could do with repair. The floor tiles on the rooftop are not all secure and wobble and there are a few bits of wear and tear in the rooms, nothing major, but it ruins a perfect score.
Would highly recommend staying here if coming to Puerto de la Cruz.

An important thing to know before booking this hotel: finding parking near the hotel is extremely difficult, especially during the high season.
Another major problem is the check-in and check-out process. You cannot drive up to the hotel to unload or load your luggage, which makes arriving and leaving with suitcases quite inconvenient.
The nearest public parking we used is located here: 28.4185172, -16.5517439. During the high season, we often had to spend 10β15 minutes looking for a free parking space.
There is also another significant downside: the swimming pool closes every day at 7:00 PM, and sometimes even earlier. Unfortunately, the pool water is quite cold, which makes it less enjoyable, especially later in the day.
Overall, these are important practical issues to be aware of when considering this hotel.

The hotel was nice location and staff were friendly helpful. View from the bedroom was beautiful. My only complaint was the bathroom shower itβs wasnβt very disable friendly. The shower floor was very slippery and I fell over hurt my back and right elbow Next day I found another person had the same issue in the bathroom his elbow was bandaged too. To the hotel can anti slip be put in the showers. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay.would like to thank the manager after the review I put a shower non slip mat was sent to the room my advice would be to put one in each room for safety reasons. Thank you again especially for sorting this out. ππ hi just had a response from the manager I think I booked the room personally at the reception last year I came with a walking stick. The receptionist said that would be the best room for me. I said I couldnβt walk the stairs receptionist said I wouldnβt be walking up the stairs as there were 2 lifts I could use to go up to the rooftop bar or dinner on the ground floor. The rooms are lovely but for me or anyone else who has a disability showers are not safe but thank for putting a non slip mat this afternoon. I will definitely be staying again here. Hotel with modern rooms. Wifi, infinity pool, pool table, extensive buffet. Situated at the boulevard of Puerto de la Cruz. From here you can easily walk or travel anywhere, the location is really good.
Tips are: the old town, roam around for nice little shops, bars and restaurants to be discovered. At 15min walking distance there is El Cardumen dive and paragliding center for the more adventurous which was really cool.
It's sad to say me personally did not like the buffet. It IS good, but 80% was not my taste. And if you don't like it with few variation you feel stuck. Breakfast was good enough, but diner...well...i went out to discover local restaurant more often than i initially planned. My son on the other hand liked trying out the extensive buffet. A lot of fish and fishbased dishes.

We stayed for a week recently, were a bit disappointed that the parking was so far away and hard to find.
The reception staff very very good.
Room average for a deluxe room no milk supplied and beverages not often replaced.
The room was cleaned everyday.
The corridors need a good carpet cleaning and bannisters were very sticky to touch.
Food less than average lukewarm warm at best. Did not do the dinner option as β¬50 per couple a bit excessive and other guests told us not worth the money. No lounge to relax in spent most of our time on the balcony.
Very annoying trumpet player every night outside.
Generally noisy as faced walkway with many sellers outside. We did ask for a quiet room but had one that was pretty noisy but it overlooked the sea.

This is already a very good hotel, and it's getting better as it's getting renovated. Staff was nice, food was varied and very good with lots of spanish/local options. We got one of the better rooms, family room on the corner with a huge terrace and great views. Renovations are still not finished, but it's mainly niceties, the facade on the back is old with some cracks, the downstairs pool is old with many tiles replaced with plaster, the glass bottom of the new upstairs pool looks onto unfinished construction works etc. The location is good, you can reach the Loro park train with a short walk, downtown and a mall is also near. The hotel is on a hill though so it can be challenging to walk with very small kids or disabled adults. Parking spaces are scarce but I always managed to find one at the hotel parking lot. Main thing I would improve besides finishing the renovations is the pool opening times, 11 for the kiddy pool is too late for opening, and it also closes too soon.

The hotel is very poorly maintained, the reception staff is very rude, inattentive. The room I received is very poorly positioned, although the hotel had enough rooms. Lack of parking space; in the evening it is a real adventure to find a parking space. The only professionals in the hotel are the restaurant staff, kind and with a smile on their faces. SECOND REVIEW - 2 WEEKS 7-22 JULY 2026
NO WAY A 4 STAR β HOTEL. PERHAPS IN 4 YEARS AFTER THEY HAVE FINISHED THE INTERNAL RENOVATIONS.
I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY GUEST WHO FEELS LIKE THIS.
this was my second time returning to El Tope, this year for 2 weeks (10 days last year July 2025)
I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
The experience was totally the opposite. they don't appear to appreciate or like return customers.
AT NO TIME WAS I INFORMED or GIVEN ANY PRIOR NOTICE.... I booked this last October 2025.
During the day... all morning and all afternoon there was nothing but neumatic drilling coming from the entire 4th floor because it's being renovated. The noise was unbelievable and the vibrations felt in the room unbearable. No relaxing in your room. There are men using climbing equipment on the outside of the building scraping off old paint which in turn falls on you on the dining room terrace and pool area.
THESE WORKS WILL BE CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR IRRESPECTIVE OF OFF SEASON ON HIGH SEASON DATES.
I found out by another holiday maker that she complained about her room and I found out she was given my originally booked room and I was given hers.
Do not accept a room on 6th floor, especially 600-614 because the top floor bar is directly above your ceiling and the sound of children running and jumping until at least 11.30pm is accepted and condoned. Reception and bar staff refused to do anything about this, so I was forced to address this myself with the families. Originally I thought it was a room above not the roof top bar. This caused me distress.
If you complain, the whole staff don't like you and the atmosphere is horrible to the extent I didn't want to even be in the hotel to eat.
If you are lucky enough to receive a welcome bottle in your room, you have to drink it by yourself in your room. I kept mine for the night of the world cup final π and was refused a glass to enjoy it along side the all inclusive couple I had luckily made friends with.
If you stay out in the town after 1-2am, (there were a lot official fiestas & world cup games ) don't think you'll get a taxi back from the town, at the designated taxi rank, because there aren't any. I had to get a Spanish girl to call the hotel for me who refused to send a taxi and instructed her to call a number and sort it out for me. As I have mobility issues I am unable to walk the steap walk back to El Tope. If you have mobility issues don't book here full stop. They simply don't care.
If you are unlucky enough to have a room

There seems to be some shenanigans going on with the reviews/stories of these alleged school trippers. I got pretty spooked myself after reading them but regardless, based purely on our stay the experience was pretty fine. Because the price is so low I have no problems looking over some minor defects but if you want to look for them you will certainly find plenty.
As for roaches we didnt see any, and the room was clean even though some of the facilities were a bit aged, but even if I were to find one I wouldnt blame it to the hotel either, you gotta think this is a warm, humid, busy city, and the front door of the hotel is always open so it is what it is. But we positively didnt see signs of any infestation like other reviews say.

Location is nice, close to a supermarket and with wonderful views of the mountains. The rooms were nice if a bit run down, but staff was accommodating and kind. Locals seem to hang out in the restaurant and lobby which creates a friendly atmosphere. The beds were a bit lumpy and hard.

This was possibly one of the worst stay I ever had in any hotel or hostel. Our room was old and poorly maintained, which did not make us flinch too much, as the price is quite low. But then a few hours after our arrival we found everything covered in cockroaches, the floor, the wardrobe, the kitchen sink, some of our luggage too. The staff was very helpful and changed our room immediately, but we were not so keen on staying in the building any longer after that. After reading other reviews it is quite clear that the management does not take proper actions against infestations or even basic maintenance, so we decided to relocate to a different hotel, which turned out to be much nicer and only slightly more expensive.
Essential Tips for Booking a Beach Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz
To ensure your stay in Tenerife is as seamless as possible, it helps to understand the local nuances of the area. The north of the island operates at a different pace than the bustling southern resorts, and a little preparation goes a long way. Here are some insider insights to help you maximize your enjoyment and avoid common pitfalls when booking your coastal accommodation.
Understand the Beaches: Puerto de la Cruz is famous for its volcanic black sand, particularly at Playa JardΓn and Playa MartiΓ‘nez. These beaches are beautiful but can get hot underfoot during peak summer hours. Additionally, the Atlantic swell can be strong, so choosing a hotel near the protected lidos or natural pools is often a wise choice for families with young children.
Book a Sea View Room: While a "near the beach" location is great, a room with a view is even better. Many hotels in this area are built on a gradient, meaning some rooms face the interior courtyard or the street. Paying a slight premium for a balcony overlooking the ocean or Mount Teide is almost always worth the investment for the ambiance it provides.
Consider the Microclimate: Northern Tenerife is lush and green because it receives more moisture than the south. While this makes for beautiful scenery, the mornings can sometimes start cloudy before the sun burns through by midday. Look for hotels that offer heated pools or indoor wellness facilities, ensuring you have a comfortable swimming option regardless of the daily weather variations.
Check for Accessibility: The topography of Puerto de la Cruz is hilly, particularly as you move away from the immediate shoreline. If you have mobility concerns or are traveling with a stroller, verify that your chosen hotel offers elevator access to all floors and is situated on relatively flat ground near the promenade.
Parking Logistics: If you are renting a car to explore the rest of the island, parking can be a challenge in the older, narrow streets near the coast. Always check if your hotel has on-site parking and whether it requires a reservation. Some properties offer free parking, while others charge a daily fee that can add up over a week-long stay.
The magic of Puerto de la Cruz lies in its ability to blend the old-world charm of the Canary Islands with the raw power of the Atlantic. By choosing a hotel that aligns with your specific needsβbe it a quiet spa retreat or a family-friendly resortβyou set the stage for a truly restorative vacation. You will find that the hospitality here is warm, welcoming, and deeply rooted in the local Canarian culture.
As you finalize your travel plans, remember that the best trips are often those where the accommodation feels like a home away from home. Whether you spend your days lounging on the black sand, exploring the nearby botanical gardens, or sampling fresh seafood on a terrace, staying near the beach ensures you are always connected to the heartbeat of this beautiful town. Safe travels and enjoy the stunning coastline of Tenerife.
