Dining out with children in Paris can feel like a delicate balancing act. You want to introduce them to the magic of French cuisine without the stress of navigating hushed, formal dining rooms or menus that send a six-year-old into a meltdown. The good news is that the Parisian dining scene has evolved, and “kid-friendly” no longer means sacrificing quality for a plate of plain pasta.
The secret to a successful family meal in the French capital is knowing where to look. While Paris has a reputation for haute cuisine and strict etiquette, it is also a city of neighborhoods filled with warm, welcoming owners who genuinely adore children. From bustling brasseries that thrive on energy to concept cafes designed with play areas, there is a table for every type of family.
This guide focuses on restaurants that offer more than just a high chair. We have prioritized locations with welcoming staff, efficient service that minimizes waiting time, and menus that appeal to both adventurous young eaters and picky toddlers. You will find options ranging from the best pizza in the city to classic steak frites and innovative brunch spots.
We have scoured the arrondissements to find places where a dropped fork doesn’t cause a scene and where the noise level is high enough to mask a chatty preschooler. Whether you are looking for a quick bite between museum visits or a leisurely Sunday lunch, these spots prove that Paris can be a playground for foodies of all ages.
Below, you will find a curated list of the best family-friendly restaurants in Paris. Each entry has been selected for its consistency, location, and ability to make parents feel relaxed while giving kids a true taste of the city.

We visited “The Family” restaurant in Paris and had a great experience.
We ordered the onion soup, which was one of the best we’ve ever had – perfectly balanced in flavor and rich in taste. The tartare was also excellent: fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor.
We also tried the fish and a dessert that came as a trio of small portions, which was a great way to sample different flavors. Everything we had was delicious and of high quality.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience with great food. Highly recommended!

Had lunch with a friend in this cosy restaurant. No reservation needed but it was packed! I had the Onglet de boeuf at medium-rare. It’s pretty good. I liked the pepper sauce over the blue cheese.

We found a random spot near Galaries Lafayette. We did not have any reservation. The staff was kind and patient. Asked us to wait 10mins. They will try to get a table for us.
It is a cosy restaurant. We ordered tandoori salmon with basmati rice, cod fish filet, risotto, linguine and french onion soup.
Soup was very good. Melted cheese made it super good. Tandoori salmon was soft and melt easy in mouth. Risotto with big prawns were fantastic ! Cod fish was good.
We certainly enjoyed the lunch. Highly recommended.

This place has very good food and wonderful staff and service. The gentleman working are very nice. This is such a cozy little restaurant next to the galeries lafayette.

We ate at "The Family" three times during our vacation last week because everything was simply fantastic. The food was excellent (and we tried quite a few dishes), the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service staff, in particular, were incredibly friendly—we had a wonderful time! Many thanks to everyone at the restaurant for that!
Oh, and one more thing: I’ll miss the pepper sauce the most 🙂

My daughter recommended that we have lunch at Pink Mamma, and we’re so glad we came.
As tourists from Taiwan, our French is very limited. Fortunately, our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The three of us ordered the Burrata e Pappa al Pomodoro, Mafaldine al Tartufo, Risotto agli Asparagi, and the T-Bone Fiorentina to share. Every dish was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and excellent flavors.
The restaurant itself has an amazing atmosphere, beautiful décor, vibrant energy, and a warm Italian vibe that made the whole experience memorable.
We were planning to order the Tiramisù for dessert, but we were simply too full after such a satisfying meal. It’s already at the top of our list for our next visit!
Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Paris.

The restaurant is spacious and has multiple floors, going up to the open air floor. Reservations must be made since you will most likely never find free spot immediately or have to simply sit in a free spot at the bar.
The food is delicious, especially the asparagus and fries, but the portions aren't that big and they were a bit too salty (they used big sized salt which is very flavory). Also, the pesto is really good and light as well as the truffle dip with the burrata. As for the pizza, it's a delicious one and the portion is good, regular like in other pizza places, which is great! The mousse au chocolat is delicious with the salty addition of caramel, and the classic tiramisu is also good but the taste of coffee is very light for those who love a dominant coffee flavor. As for the drinks, they have a large selection and you'd be really tempted to try them all. The selection of fruity beers is perfect!
The guy who served our table was incredibly friendly, joked around, and was fast. We really loved his energy and friendliness.
I would say that the hype is more for the quality of ingredients that they use and the quality of reception from the staff, rather than a breakthrough in the dishes. Still, it's a lovely experience to have.

This is an extremely popular Italian restaurant, and making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. Its reputation is well deserved, as every dish we tried was outstanding.
The signature truffle pasta was undoubtedly the star of the meal. The pasta was perfectly cooked with a delightfully chewy texture, while the rich and creamy truffle sauce delivered an intense depth of flavor that was simply unforgettable. Every bite was indulgent and beautifully balanced, making it one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted.
The tiramisu was equally impressive, offering a smooth and delicate texture with just the right level of sweetness. The pizza was also excellent.
Marco Girelli★★★★★
Traditional Neapolitan pizza with delicious, high-quality ingredients. The crust was unfortunately a bit too burnt on the bottom, but I guess it was one of the first pizzas in a very hot oven, so that can sometimes happen.
I had the Spicy Pizza, which was really tasty. I especially enjoyed the 'nduja—I had really missed it!
The service was friendly, with mostly Italian staff, which added to the authentic atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and even if you dine alone, they have comfortable counter seating.
For dessert, I had the panna cotta with red berries, which was delicious. I also had a beer, and the total came to €34, which I think is a fair price by Paris standards.
Overall, a very good experience. I'd definitely come back.

This is one of the best meals I've had in Paris. Pasta was fresh, Pizza was thin crust and cooked to perfection... Our server Tiziana was so kind, polite and cheerful. Best service. I would highly recommend going here, even if it is out of your way... worth the travel and wait times too. Must try tiramisu!!!

one of those trendy cafe/restaurant type deals. super friendly and funny waiter and the decor here was definitely a vibe.
food isn’t amazing, though I really did enjoy the truffle with poached eggs (7 euros). chicken cutlet was dry, and the sauce lacked any depth unfortunately. truffle pasta was pretty good. the pizza was small, though that does check out with to the price (6 euros). the pastas were between 16-17 euros.
serviceable place for food, but nothing much stood out except for the exceptional service!

If you are looking for some nice place to have good food late in the night...this is where you gooo!! Menu is limited late in the night but it's still so much better than a lot of places I guess?
Shout out to their creme brule🤌
Oh yes and their ambience and atmosphere on the street was very good!

The food was so good and they have a big menu selection with multiple languages. I got the Milanese-Style Chicken Cutlet and it was amazing!! Another person in my group got the Pad Thai and loved it. I absolutely loved our server, Angel, too, they were super friendly and helpful!💙 I would say it’s better to go with a party of 2 or 3 but they are able to seat parties of 4+ easily inside. I’d 100% recommend! (Make a reservation though!)

Lovely place to eat breakfast and really good service .
Inside and outside is perfect to eat .
Went there 2 days in a row.
The english breakfast was perfect, with fresh scrambled eggs , with bacon and salade. Coffee of tea or hot chocolate with a very good fresh orange Juice. The bread and the croissants are define.
And you get Nutella and Jam and butterfly with it too.
Tara Gray★★★★☆
The food was great! The service was just ok though. They asked us right away what we wanted to order and we said we needed a couple minutes. We waited about 15-20 min and then finally flagged someone down. They missed one of the items that we ordered and we also didn’t get the free bread that we saw every other table get when they sat down. Cute place with good food but the service was not great, was also very loud (we sat inside), wouldn’t go back.

The place is beautiful, it has nerdy gaming references and actual boardgames to play. The waitress is one of the kindest persons ever, she made our experience better in every way. I would recommend the place for coffee, drinks & desserts definitely. It's the first place in Paris where i asked for a cold drink and it was actually cold! The kinder tiramisu was very tasty and fresh.
The food was tasty but surely overcooked, we were too hungry to wait for a new order and ate it. But, i think based on waitress interest in our experience, they would definitely replace it if we had informed them. She was sorry to hear that and genuinely apologized to us, asking us why we didnt tell her earlier. I would definitely go again, and would give a second try to their food.

Super cute cafe. We had the most *lovely* waitress, who was kind and sweet. We stopped by for morning tea whilst our washing was a few doors down at the laundry mat. It was just a bit tricky with the outdoor table and chairs to move to allow the table next to you for space. A little cramped, and perhaps too close for comfort with the person behind me, however given the style of the chairs, it was impossible to move or make any adjustments.

Very very nice Time in that restaurant just in front of our hotel in the middle of 9ème arrondissement. Bonn in 1969, if felt like home with many books like bibliothèque verte and Goldorak looking at me having dinner 🙂 go, go, go!!! A Parisian institution, and it earns that title.
The andouillette DUVAL AAAA was the real deal in terms of authenticity — but be warned, it is aggressively salty. Not for the faint-hearted. The escargot were wonderful, and with a good piece of bread to soak up all that garlic butter, I lost count of how many I went through. The frites were also perfectly done — crisp, golden, no complaints.
Prices are on the higher side, but this is a century-old establishment that keeps its doors open well into the night and welcomes you in from the cold with a warm, timeless atmosphere. That counts for something.

The staff were excellent — very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the High-Sea seafood platter and the Burgundy snails, and it was such a different and interesting experience. The snails were actually really delicious and definitely worth trying! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and the experience.

Very traditional French restaurant, every detail of the service is top notch and make you feel like their best customer 💖💖💖
Oysters are nice, giving you choice of sizes by different price range. Gillardeau is our favourite.
Onion soup could be better if it’s made to order. Can taste the sweetness of onion soup 👍🏻 but Feels like it was baked for a while because it’s not hot enough.
The recommended dish - Slow cooked pork loin worths being recommended. Very tender, pair it with porcini I think which elevated the whole dish👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Macaroni is for the kid, but we like it too 🙂
Reasonably priced and best service so far in Paris :))) highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really wanted to try some proper French specialties and this was Exactly what we were looking for 🇫🇷🤩
Had the Gros Escargots de Bourgogne, Cuisses de Grenouille en Persillade and the Tartare de Bœuf Normand...
Everything was sooo gooooood 🤤🤯🥰 The escargots were amazing, the frog legs were really tasty and the beef tartare was just perfect 🫶🏽
Everything felt really Fresh and well prepared... Definitely a great place to go when you want to try some classic French dishes... We really enjoyed the whole experience! 🇫🇷

Super dining experience at this establishment. Showed up on a Friday evening and without a reservation and was quickly seated. Had a magnificent meal, including half a bottle of red for under 75 euro, for two people - as described. Great value!
Highly recommend this place. All dishes were delicious. Duck confit just fell of for the bone. Cheeses were great. The dessert was ridiculous.
Highly recommend it
I will be going again before my vacation is over

One of the best restaurants in Paris! We waited for almost two hours because we didn’t reserve a table. The wait was well worth it! We got 4 starters, 3 mains, one dessert, and drinks, all for less than €60 in total for two people! One of the best value for money in Paris. We understand how it withstood the test of time, and why people queue for it. The different starters were amazing! The ratatouille, salad, and french soup were some of the highlights for me. Even the mains were filling and satisfying. Would definitely visit this place again and would book a reservation in advance. The staff was very polite and accommodating even though it was a very busy evening for them. They’re used to having tourists and locals. Highly recommended!

What can I say? Great service is the most important thing. Because when it comes to the food itself, I don't have to give a positive opinion, because that's what it is. Very tasty, affordable, and tastes like France. I recommend it to every tourist
I will just point out that it is very important to make a reservation in advance. Because those willing to eat without a reservation, the number of people waiting reaches several dozen meters
. I recommend for sure

A great restaurant if you want a meal with all the courses (appetizer, main, and dessert) with a reasonable price. though don't expect any major surprises—the food is solid and perfectly fine. We went in the afternoon, around 4 PM, so there was no wait. Ordering was quick, and the food arrived promptly, too. You can pay directly via an app using the QR code found at each table, which makes settling the bill incredibly easy. A overall good experience.

The restaurant operations are fantastic. We booked in advance and got our table so quickly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the system is efficient, and the staff are professional. Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing. Even with the budget-friendly prices, it wasn't worth it. You're better off saving your money and eating elsewhere.

Kristiyan Stefanov★☆☆☆☆
An absolute disappointment.
I honestly don’t understand how Jungle Palace has managed to collect so many positive reviews or how it manages to stay so crowded.
The atmosphere is stuffy, far too dark, and overcrowded. Every now and then, the entire place is flooded with intense coloured lights that literally shine in your eyes while you’re trying to eat. We expected at least some kind of interesting “experience” that might compensate for everything else, but there really isn’t one. The setting itself isn’t particularly impressive, and during our visit, around 90% of the people — including the children — were simply staring at their phones anyway.
The food was the biggest disappointment. The menu is a chaotic mix of everything imaginable — seafood, Mexican food, steaks, grilled dishes, pasta, and plenty more — with absolutely no clear culinary identity. We tried 4–5 different dishes, and not a single person in our group was impressed with the food. The presentation was also very poor.
In the end, we got neither good food, nor a pleasant atmosphere, nor the promised “experience”. We left with the impression that this is a place that relies far more on marketing, social media and its concept than on the actual quality of the restaurant.
For us, it was a complete disappointment, and we definitely wouldn’t visit again.
Samantha Chapman★★★☆☆
Jungle Palace was a fun restaurant - the service was really good, the cocktails delicious and the decor was great...loved the jungle vibes! My food was really tasty and service was quick.
The only issue I had was that the tables were quite close together so it was a bit uncomfortable in the middle of the aisle as you felt people had to squeeze past. And the smoke was making us choke a bit, not sure if it was for atmospherics or an issue from the kitchen but it was a bit odd. And the other point is that we were there on a really hot day and there was no air conditioning so it was very oppressive- and we were extremely sweaty and hot as a result.
So a mixed bag, just tiny issues to sort out and it would be a great review.
Gi Del★★★★☆
Jungle Palace in Paris offers an amazing theme-park vibe with super interesting animations that make you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle.
The food was great and varied, featuring a delicious Caribbean and South American style. We really enjoyed the ceviche, plantains, salads, and chicken skewers.
The only downside was the initial service. We waited so long to be acknowledged that we actually had to get up and ask to be served. Fortunately, everything flowed perfectly after that. Definitely worth a visit for the food and experience, just pack a little patience for the beginning!
Jessi S.★★★★★
To be honest, at first I thought it was just a tourist trap. I just happened to walk by and got a table right away on a Tuesday evening. And I have to say, the restaurant is truly something special. Not just the ambiance, which is really impressive and something completely different. The service, too... every single staff member was genuinely friendly and attentive. The value for money is excellent, and the drinks are delicious—what more could you ask for?
And it’s the perfect restaurant for a solo dinner—without a cell phone—because there’s always something to watch. Highly recommended!
Amy Smith★★★★★
Amazing!! I came whilst on a solo trip & loved it! The initial wait was a bit annoying… you arrive at your reservation time but are seated based on who arrived first whilst waiting in a tiny entrance area. Took about 15 mins to be seated but worth the wait. Amazing decor, AMAZING food & drinks(!) - portions big & cocktails very strong! Definitely worth a visit. Staff are lovely & welcoming also!

Absolutely fantastic food and service!
We had boeuf bourguignon and a lemon chicken tagine and they were both so so flavorful and rich. (Everything else people were ordering around us looked pretty damn good too!)
The beer selection is great, they have a happy hour too 💕
The service was fantastic too, thank you Uzzal for your recommendation!
We also got complimentary green mint tea that was super flavorful, and little chocolates. Honestly, we must return here soon.

We were in the area and decided to dine at Chouchou. The food was great and surpassed our expectations! We had the onion soup, escargot, steak, and duck confit. All the dishes were delicious. The staff is really kind and service was amazing. We will be back again! Highly recommend!

Found this restaurant hrough a YouTuber who gave it glowing reviews, so we decided to give it a try while in Paris. We ordered the escargot, duck confit, onion soup, & for desserts, the crème brûlée & chocolate cake.
The service was impeccable throughout the meal. Super attentive, warm, & welcoming. They had English menus & spoke to us in English. The staff were lovely, and they even gave us a complimentary hot tea & coffee on the house which was a nice touch.
The food overall was very good. The duck confit was cooked really well, soft & tender, & even the potatoes were amazingly soft & comforting. The escargot was also surprisingly tender. The desserts were PHENOMENAL & honestly one of the highlights of the meal. The only downside for us was that most of the dishes leaned a little too salty for our taste.
We came around 8.30pm with a reservation, though it didn’t seem strictly necessary. Also very thankful for the air-conditioning during the current heat wave in Paris. If we had more days here, we would definitely come back again.

I visited here by chance on the way to my hotel.
I found my choice totally right after having lunch.
The lunch menu has enough volume and tastes delicious.
Moreover, the exceptional hospitality of the staff left a strong impression; they gave me a complementary pot of mint tea and a chocolate. If anything, espresso until the end!
I highly recommend here.

A small local French restaurant with a typical French vibe. The space is quite limited, so it’s not the most comfortable for long sitting, but it feels cozy. The service was friendly and baby-friendly. The food tasted homemade. Both the soup and main dish were rich and creamy with a strong cheese flavor. It was a very interesting experience from an Asian perspective. Affordable price also

Surely must be the best view of the Eiffel Tower in the city. An absolutely gorgeous space looking over both the Seine and towards the Eiffel Tower.

Lovely setting and the starters and dessert were good. However the duck was quite flavourless and the fries were just warm. Service felt rushed and we had to use our starter cutlery for our mains as well? Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and were a but underwhelmed sadly.

Dining at Francette was one of the highlights of our time in Paris.
The location is simply spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine that create an unforgettable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Whether for lunch, dinner, or a sunset drink, the setting is among the most beautiful in the city.
The cuisine is refined, creative, and perfectly executed. Every dish showcases high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a modern interpretation of French gastronomy. The seafood selection is particularly impressive, fresh and expertly prepared.
Service is professional, attentive, and polished, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality. The staff make guests feel welcome while maintaining the sophisticated ambiance that defines the restaurant.
What truly sets Francette apart is its unique combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and one of the most iconic views in Paris. It manages to feel both chic and relaxed, making it equally suitable for a special celebration or a memorable evening in the French capital.
A remarkable Parisian experience that I would gladly repeat.

The view of the Eiffel Tower and the atmosphere on the boat made this a really nice place to eat.
A special shout out to our waiter, Gregory, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We tried the tempura, which was good, but the crispy chicken with curry sauce was our favorite. We ended up ordering a second serving because we enjoyed it so much. The mussels were also very good, and the fresh guacamole was a nice starter. I wasn’t a fan of the signature duck entrecôte, but overall we had a good meal and would recommend this spot.

Overall a lovely meal, but the service needs a bit of work.
The food itself was brilliant. The portion sizes were excellent and everything was presented beautifully. A big shout out to the kitchen—the quality was top-notch and the dishes came out really quickly.
However, the service was a bit of a letdown. The staff were quite inattentive; I was even given a glass with a sharp, chipped edge, which was a bit dangerous. We had to ask for our drinks several times, and after requesting the dessert menu, we waited so long for someone to take our order that we eventually just gave up and left.
The atmosphere was also a bit odd because of the music. It’s a great location and you expect a proper French vibe, but they were playing American pop music which didn’t fit the setting at all.
Price-wise, we paid €180 for two adults and a child (no alcohol or dessert). For the quality of the food, I’d say that’s a very fair price.
Overall, we had a positive time, but the waitstaff definitely need to be more on the ball!

Quick and friendly service. Really cool interior. Great quality food and decent sizes which makes it good value for the price you pay. Only 4 stars because it‘s rather loud inside and because the salad that came with the waffle was not at all to my taste.

I didn’t have much time in Paris to try different crepes for comparison, but I found this one to be really good — and the portion was big!
Chilean Tourist 🙋🏽♀️We went on a Tuesday at 2 PM, and the place was full. There was a short line, but we only waited about ten minutes to get a table.
📍The Venue:
The place has the feel of a traditional French café — cute and on the smaller side. All the seating is indoors, mostly tables for two. You can definitely go with a group, but you might have to wait a bit longer for a larger table.
🥞What we ordered:
Nutella, Strawberry & Banana Crêpe: The batter was thicker than other crêpes I’ve had before, but it was delicious and not overly sweet. We added a scoop of ice cream, which was a nice touch!
They also offer a free jar of water, which is always appreciated.
🧑🍳The Service:
The staff was really friendly, and our order came out quickly.
🅿️Parking:
As far as I know, they don’t have dedicated parking.
💭Final Thoughts:
For my first time trying a crêpe in Paris, it was a great experience! The food was tasty, the service was good, and I’d definitely come back.

Great experience at La Crème de Paris Notre-Dame. I came back because I remembered how nice it was to sit here with a view of Notre-Dame, and it was just as enjoyable this time. The crêpes were delicious — I had the chicken crêpe and the honey crêpe — and the location is hard to beat. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, and a perfect place to relax while enjoying Paris. I’ll definitely come back again on another visit.

Highly recommend this incredible creperie! It’s situated on the corner facing the Notre Dame with beautiful views from the open windows. The crepes were incredible and the best gelato! So delicious we had to return the following day! Service was great with mint infused water provided and QR code with ability to pay with your phone after your meal to save time.

Although the place is near a very touristy spot, the prices are reasonable, except for the smoothy which seemed a bit expensive.
The sweet banana Nutella crêpe was nice, but the pastromy galette was just ok. Nice latte.

Loulou Paris is a great brunch spot if you’re looking for Australian-inspired food in a relaxed and stylish setting. The menu has plenty of fresh options, and everything we tried was beautifully presented and full of flavor.
The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and perfect for a slow brunch with friends or a weekend coffee. The staff were friendly, and the service was smooth throughout our visit.
If you’re looking for a trendy brunch in Paris with quality food and a laid-back vibe, Loulou is definitely worth adding to your list. I’d happily come back to try more of the menu.

Lots of gluten free options, some dairy/lactose free options also. Great atmosphere and conveniently located near Notre Dame. Coffee was very good! My husband had the eggs Benedict which was good. My banana bread was rather dry but otherwise tasty. Açai bowl was good, but just tasted like banana.

We went to this café for breakfast and sat outside. The atmosphere was really lovely, with that typical Paris café feeling that makes you enjoy the moment while having breakfast.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get the taste experience I was expecting from the breakfast. For me, the bread was a bit of a challenge. As far as I understood, it was sourdough bread, and the quality of the bread itself was good, but it was toasted too much. I remember it being quite difficult to eat because it was so hard and crunchy.
If they pay more attention to this detail, I think it could be a really nice place for breakfast, especially because of its beautiful atmosphere and outdoor seating.

Very original and well-prepared food in the Latin Quarter conveniently located near Notre Dame.

Brilliant and excellent service.
Very friendly, helpful, kind, professional and multilingual staff.
Delicious Australian food.
This is a great place to stop and relax from the day of touring.

UNKIND TO TOURISTS! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I had this place saved for months, I was so excited to go. I drove across town yesterday to eat here and when we arrived we waited over 20 mins to even be greeted. We tried being patient because we could see they were understaff (only 2 workers in the whole place: waitress and chef). My phone wasn’t working so we asked for a paper menu, the waitress was so rude and said if you can’t get the online menu to work then you can’t eat here. We eventually got the menu working, and were ready to order now 40+ minutes in and we haven’t even had our drink orders taken. A table of 6 come in way after us and she went to take their order before ours. So we waited almost an hour to not even get severed… we asked people who were leaving how long it took to get their food and they said over 75 mins… so if you have 3 hours to waste then I guess this place is for you.

2 Weeks ago i ordered a iced matcha latte and there was a 1 cm bug in my matcha latte i know that it didn’t fall in because it was at the bottom
and i almost swallowed it. They didn’t even offer any discount or offered it to me. I do not recommend.

A great brunch idea and a very nice place!😍 Although we had to wait in line because of high demand, we were so happy to try this place. The XXL filled croissant was very tasty and unique. Ina addition, other options with salmon and eggs were yummyyy. Recommended!

Dinner was great! Be sure to make a reservation for dinner in advance if you can. Otherwise, be prepared for a line if you walk up. We showed up about 20 minutes before they opened and were able to get in, but the line behind us was at least 20 people long before the restaurant (kitchen) even opened!
We had the escargot, fish of the day, deviled eggs and the duck. All the food was great!
Cocktails and wine were also both fantastic.

We had an excellent dinner here! The restaurant is tucked away in a charming little alley. We arrived around 7:30–8pm and there was a line for a table, but the wait was quite short and we were seated before long.
The service was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. We each started with a spritz, which was a little different from the usual Aperol Spritz, but still very good and refreshing.
My partner had the beef tartare and I had the beef bourguignon. It normally comes with pasta, but I asked if I could have mashed potatoes instead and they were happy to accommodate. Both dishes were excellent!
For dessert, we shared the cherry clafoutis and the Paris-Brest and… just wow! Such a great way to end the meal.
Excellent food, wonderful service and a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this restaurant and would absolutely return!

I had a great time with my partner when we walked-in for dinner on July 19. The terrine was delicious and the pork dish for two was so rich and comforting. For dessert the crème brûlée and saint honoree and Paris-brest were scrumptious, we cleaned our plates! Florian was an excellent server and extremely friendly and helpful to us the entire time we dined. I would definitely come back again for the great service and food.

We ordered the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. The onion soup had a smoky, fire-grilled flavor that made it absolutely delicious. It’s definitely a dish each person should try at least once.
The beef bourguignon had a slight mix of pork as well. The mushrooms were well-seasoned, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The pre-meal bread was also pleasantly chewy, like it had been freshly baked in-house.
I ordered a small 250 ml beer, which I really appreciated since you can adjust the portion size. Even though the line was long, the staff were very busy and efficient, and the food was prepared quickly.
Overall, it’s a truly excellent restaurant. It will definitely brighten your day.

Had a lovely dinner out on the little terrace at this brasserie. It's in a very busy little laneway which adds to atmosphere. Food and drinks were delicious, well priced. Florian our waiter was the absolute best and kept everything running so smoothly!!! Thank you for a memorable dinner!
Would recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend!

Great French eatery just off Lafayette. Great service, authentic French menu, reasonable prices and large portions makes this an easy recommendation.
A really good choice even along a road full of cafes and restaurants.
We tried a number of food choices including the steak tartar, chicken burgers and steak frites and all were fantastic. My tartare was spectacular. Not had one as good as this for a number of years and it was under €20! Incredible value.
Not to be confused with the numerous tourist traps up and down this road. Try this and you will not be disappointed.

An incredible little place with delicious food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. I would happily come back again!
I'm not sure whether the most cheerful person we met in Paris was the waiter, the owner, the manager, or the chef—but it honestly doesn't matter. He made us laugh from the heart and enjoy every single minute we spent in the restaurant. He even saw us off in the kindest and most heartfelt way possible.
Thank you for this wonderful experience!
I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it's rare to find a free table.

This was my first time trying frog legs and foie gras, and it turned out to be a memorable experience. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and gave me a great introduction to classic French cuisine. We also had the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and comforting.
The beer was excellent, perfectly complementing the meal. However, the real star for me was the freshly baked hot baguette. Served warm straight from the oven, it was absolutely irresistible and ended up being my favorite part of the entire dining experience.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and a fantastic way to discover traditional French flavors. Highly recommended!

Tips for Dining Out with Kids in Paris
Understanding the rhythm of Parisian dining will make your experience infinitely smoother. The city operates on a specific clock, and aligning your family’s hunger with local customs can be the difference between a magical meal and a stressful one. Here are a few essential strategies to help you navigate the Parisian restaurant scene like a local parent.
1. Eat Early or Book Ahead
Parisians typically eat lunch around 1:00 PM and dinner no earlier than 8:00 PM. Many kitchens close between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM. To avoid “hangry” children, aim for a 12:00 PM lunch or a 6:30 PM dinner at brasseries that offer continuous service. If you want a prime table at a popular spot, always call ahead and mention you are coming with children.
2. Look for the “Formule” or “Menu Enfant”
While not every restaurant advertises it, many offer a menu enfant (children’s menu). This usually includes a main course like steak haché (burger patty) or roasted chicken, a side, and a drink or dessert. If you don’t see one, don’t be shy—ask if the kitchen can prepare a simple plate of pasta with butter or a plain omelet. French chefs are usually happy to accommodate.
3. Master the Art of the Shared Plate
Portion sizes in Paris are often more reasonable than in North America, but sharing is still a great tactic. Ordering one adult main course to split between two younger children is perfectly acceptable in casual settings. Alternatively, order a selection of entrées (starters) like soup, charcuterie, or cheese to create a tapas-style meal that kids love.
4. Skip the Stroller When Possible
Parisian restaurants are notoriously tight on space. Large strollers can be a logistical nightmare and are sometimes refused entry due to fire safety regulations. If your child is old enough, use a carrier or a compact umbrella stroller that can be folded and tucked under a table or behind the coat rack.
5. Manage Expectations on Time
A meal in France is an event, not a race. Service will likely be slower than you are used to, even at family-friendly spots. Bring small, quiet activities (coloring books, stickers) to bridge the gap between courses. However, avoid tablets with loud volume, as this disrupts the ambiance that makes these places special for locals.
6. Embrace the Boulangerie Backup
Even the best-planned meal can go sideways. Before sitting down, consider grabbing a small baguette or a pain au chocolat from a nearby bakery. Having a familiar snack on hand can buy you the ten minutes you need to order drinks and settle in without a meltdown.
Paris is a city that rewards patience, and dining with your family is one of the best ways to immerse yourselves in its culture. By choosing the right restaurant and adjusting your expectations to the local pace, you create space for the moments that matter—watching your child try a croque monsieur for the first time or seeing them charmed by a waiter who treats them like a little prince or princess.
The restaurants listed above have mastered the art of hospitality for all ages. They understand that happy children lead to relaxed parents, and they provide the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories of your trip to France. Bon appétit!
