12 French Restaurants near Pont Alexandre III

Pont Alexandre III is not simply a bridge crossing the Seine; it is widely regarded as the most ornate and romantic thoroughfare in Paris. Connecting the Esplanade des Invalides to the Grand Palais and Petit Palais, its gilded statues and Art Nouveau lamps serve as a gateway to some of the city’s most refined neighborhoods.

For gastronomes, the area surrounding this architectural marvel is a treasure trove of culinary excellence. The 7th and 8th arrondissements, which flank the bridge, are home to a concentration of dining establishments that range from historic brasseries to contemporary Michelin-starred destinations.

Whether you have just finished touring the exhibits at the Grand Palais or are taking an evening stroll along the riverbank, finding the perfect meal nearby is essential. The local dining scene reflects the elegance of its surroundings, often leaning toward classic French gastronomy, though modern influences are certainly present.

Visitors often find that the best tables in this part of Paris require a bit of local knowledge to discover. While the main avenues boast famous names, the side streets hide intimate venues where the service is personal and the produce is meticulously sourced.

The proximity to the Seine means that many of these restaurants offer not only exceptional food but also stunning views. Dining here is as much about the ambiance and the history of the quartier as it is about the plate in front of you.

From the perfect seared foie gras to a simple, perfectly executed steak frites, the options near the bridge cater to a variety of palates and budgets. You can find a casual lunch spot for a glass of Sancerre or a formal dining room for a multi-course tasting menu.

To help you navigate this prestigious culinary landscape, we have curated a list of the best dining establishments within walking distance of the bridge. These selections are based on consistency, quality of ingredients, and the overall dining experience.

We were there in the heatwave a week ago. For dinner we asked to sit outside as it was cooler that inside, but unfortunately was told it was too late, so that was my only disappointment. The waitress we had was new but was very kind. The waitress who was working outside came back in once the tables were done outside and she spoke with us several times. Very pleasant. The food was delicious. I even tried the escargot and loved it! The garlic butter sauce it was soaked in was perfect! We were so full from the starter and entree that we did not get to try any dessert, but I can imagine it would be great as well! It is very cozy as several people have mentioned, but that seems to be a norm in Paris for the most part. Keep in mind that once you get to your table, you will probably be unable to move until time to leave. Overall, amazing little hidden gem not too far from Notre Dame and the cane store, with terrific food and good service. English is spoken by several staff members, if you need that.

Had a lovely meal here. Great location and very friendly staff. Started with escargot which was in a creamy sauce and so delicious! I had the fish of the day, salmon with sweet potatoes and my husband had the duck. Both were amazing!

Le Petit Pontoise is a cozy Parisian gem and easily one of my favorite French restaurants from the trip. We tried the lamb dish, duck dish, butter garlic escargots, and profiteroles, paired with a glass of red wine that complemented the food beautifully. Every dish was excellent—the lamb and duck were both cooked perfectly with rich, well-balanced flavors, and the escargots were buttery, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. The profiteroles were a great finish to the meal, light yet indulgent. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, adding to the warm and welcoming feel of the place. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, with a mix of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables, making it a great spot for a relaxed yet classic Paris dining experience. A must-visit if you’re looking for traditional French cooking done really well in a comfortable setting.

Great food and good service. The food is good and frankly, better than most similar French restuarant I have been to in Paris. Beef is good. Frog leg is great. Even wine selection is fantastic. Love the humour too! Will visit again when I am in Paris.
Angel K★★★★★
What a superb traditional French dinner. It was a small place but was quickly full by 8pm. Be sure to make a reservation way in advance. I ordered the frog legs and escargoes (7 pieces) and both dishes were just absolutely tasty and delicious. The customer service was very good, both waiter and waitress were so friendly. I really did love this place.

Cosy, great food offerings and friendly service. The interiors and size felt like we were visiting a friend’s home for a delicious meal. Our waiter was very kind and allowed us to practice our French with patience. We each had starters, a main and dessert, along with a great bottle of wine. A fabulous option if you want a slightly modern take on traditional French cuisine!

Been here twice and it’s been the best meal I’ve had in Paris both times. Absolutely phenomenal. Just had the duck confit and it’s the best duck I have ever had. The escargot are also incredible, and the wine pairings are outstanding. Great service and a reasonable price in an excellent atmosphere. What more can you ask for?
Brandon Y★★★★★
One of the best meals I had in Paris, everything was executed well in this quaint upstairs seating area with excellent service. We started off with the foie gras and I had the escargot which was excellent. The escargot was in shell shaped puff pastry which was perfect with the snails. This was followed by the beef check and my partner had the duck confit. Both were delicious with the beef melting in your mouth. The duck was particularly excellent with crispy skin. To top it off was an excellent lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Its location makes it great to shop then eat or vice versa. Def recommend!
Truman “Mrtinytru” Mitchell★★★★★
I can’t stress enough how good this place is!! I literally saw a comment here about how this customer felt like crying eating the duck confit and I can second that comment. What a tasteful dinner full of flavor! The food itself made our experience so unique but it was not the only thing, every single staff was extremely attentive and kind in their service, always explaining the menu in details so we would choose the best option. We had the cheese platter that was impeccable and finished with creme brulee and lava cake. Can I just say this is the tastiest lava cake I’ve ever had. Dark chocolate with a nice hint of salt in the caramel making it the perfect combination. This is coming from someone that makes lava cake every week to perfect it. They made it better. I forgot to mention but I’ve never had escargot before and tried here for the first time. That was the very first thing we ate here and we were like “this is the best thing we’ve eaten in France. Little did we know every other thing we ordered would be just better and better. Will definitely come back! Ps forgot to take pictures of the dessert but I have a picture of the aftermath (we don’t usually finish desserts but you can see what happened here)
Angeline H★★★★★
The best meal we’ve had in Paris. Hands down. We ordered the duck confit, beef cheek, foie gras, escargot, and lava cake. Everything was exquisite. It’s a small & cozy place, so make sure you make reservations! Will totally come back and recommend to our friends & family.

Probably the best meal we had in Paris. It's a very cute place with very kind staff. We had beef with red sauce, duck and an onion soup to share. Everything was extremely delicious! For drinks, I highly recommend a glass of rosé wine, it was the best wine I've had so far. Finally, we had the famous raspberry and pistachio tart, which did not disappoint! It's good to book in advance, because the restaurant has limited tables and it gets very busy.
Heather Deis★★★★★
We LOVED this place! Worth the wait if you don’t have a reservation. The almond/date duck was unreal, pork with mustard sauce (per my husband) very good, and the tarte citron - incredible! Overall, they have a fun and laid back staff that knew how to manage the busy room. We would definitely go back! Merci!

If you're looking for solid French fare, look no further! The Latin Quarter was charming and was the chosen location for our last meal in Paris! La Jacobine didn't disappoint. The waiter was fantastic, his recommendations spot on. We had the onion soup, the escargot, the beef stew & the mushroom sauce duck dish. Even the table bread was delish. Dessert was a surprise and was fabulous. We "rolled" out of there happy & very full!
Caleb Shaeffer★★★★★
I am glad I wanted to find some escargot and we stumbled upon this place. The snails were wonderful. The French Onion soup was so tasty. Everything we had was lovely and the service was very kind. I would go back and recommend this spot if you can get a seat. It is down an very old and famous alley so history nerds eat your hearts out.
Kristina S.★★★★★
This place really is such a special gem. The wait times and line down the alley only confirms it. My husband and I have been by several times over the past few years and it’s always a stellar meal. Favorites: Onion Soup Ravioli starter Lamb shank Duck confit (I dream about it) Choclat Vienno with chantilly cream The value really can’t be beat; fair pricing, quick service, and delicious food! I also love that you can now make reservations online, makes life easier. Big shoutouts to the chefs/kitchen staff for the marvelous meals and also Jose and Alex for being so attentive and friendly each visit. Viva La Jacobine!

We went here on a recommendation from Rick Steves and it was probably the best meal in Paris we had over the past 8 days. The French duck with orange sauce was succulent, tender and the sauce was so delicious with just a little tang from the citrus. The avocado, salmon and citrus salad was unique and very tasty. The French lamb was tender and delicious as well. Desserts were top notch as well- crisp profiteroles with excellent vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, and the poached pear with caramel sauce and ice cream was sweet and superb. It was a 3 course prix fixe meal- a great value! Also- the Bordeaux wine choice was wonderful! Do not miss this lovely place- they concentrate on the food quality more than the ambience, so give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Barbara Price★★★★★
We only had 2 nights and we are so glad we ate here one. The food is amazing (best salmon I ever had and my husband loved the duck). Warm, friendly service! In the left bank and sooo worth it! The owner Regis is so engaging and we loved all the drawings customers have made on the walls. Enjoy!

We had the best evening ever! First of all the food was amazing. All Entries were great. For Mains, the lamb, the duck and the entre cote were all perfectly cooked. The Crème Brûlée as well as the tarte tartin were delicious and absolutely recommendable. The Service was outstanding and always mindful. Especially the warmhearted and humorous chef of the bistro. In terms of atmosphere, we are speechless. The little hang up paper skatches on the wall from past guests from across the world give a welcoming feeling no matter where you are from. The set up of the tables was great to talk to the other guests. The whole restaurant was really communicative to the guests to both sides of their tables. We meet some amazing people with great conversations! We can very much recommend this establishment! Thank you very much to the staff, team and chef for this wonderful meal and evening.

Delicious food. Feel lucky to get reservation last minute.

They are very helpful to make the reservation on the day. We had snails and onion soup for starter, duck confit and lamp for main, poached pear with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. All are delicious and the poached pear is absolutely a star!!

First time in Paris and my friend suggested I visit their favorite place! OH MY GOSH! I had one of THE best meals that I have had in a long time! The Bouef Bourgugnon was PHENOMENAL - used the soft pillowy bread to soak up the sauce, the vegetables were perfectly done, it was pure heaven - I even drank the rest of the left over broth - no shame here! My dessert was the Chocolate Tulip - also out of this world. Highly recommend both. Loved it so much, was telling a friend about it, and he wanted to try it as well as soon as he landed! We each got the escargot, shared the onion soup (amazing), and an entree. I will be recommending this place to everyone visiting - and cannot wait to visit when i return! Great job and thank you to the entire team!

We had no reservations, it was raining and we were sans umbrella, they were very busy — and they still took us in. The manager moved an outdoor table for us and I watched him do the same for another larger family. The beef stew was divine, French onion soup was unforgettable, even my kids’ fried chicken was delicious. The hot chocolate was not too sweet. Service was quick and so helpful and kind.

An excellent Parisian restaurant in the Le Maris district. The food was excellent and very friendly staff. We had their French onion soup which was delicious and went very well with their bread. We also ordered the sea bass ceviche and CONCHIGLIONI WITH RICOTTA AND SUN-DRIED TOMATOES, cream of dried porcini mushrooms. The onion soup and Conchigliono were my favorites. For main we also ordered BOEUF BOURGUIGNON (my favorite) and CHÂTEAU FILET with truffle mayonnaise and DUCK BREAST.

Honestly always one of my first few meals upon arriving in Paris from NYC. I’ve already been here 4 times just this year. It’s a pretty busy spot but they accept walk ins. I’ve found that if you’re pretty warm and nice and greet them with Bonjours and Bonsoirs depending on the time of the day you get there, they have always been wonderful. I feel there’s a specific English speaking section with waiters who are mostly Indian or Asians who attend to English speaking customers but there are a few who are still attentive and checking in on your glass of wine and if you needed anything. I’ve gone here solo many times or with a friend and it’s never failed me/us. I usually plan for a full meal here if I’ve only had breakfast for the day so I can enjoy my favorites. I typically start with a glass of champagne or red, depending on my mood for the day, their French Onion soup (one of the best I’ve had!) or pate (good but I prefer the soup if just choosing between the 2), and then have a Beef Bourguignon as my main dish. The latter is of course what they’re known for, even naming the restaurant after it. Incredibly tender and so delicious. They of course give you baguette/bread on the side, so you know the move. Dip the bread in that perfect sauce. I usually don’t get the opportunity to have dessert given I’m always full after but tried their creme brulee once with a friend and it was divine. Service and staff are wonderful so don’t forget to round that amount off when paying to give them a little something the French way. Merci beaucoup Au Bourguignon du Marais, I’m sure I’ll see you again in a few weeks!

Au Bourguignon du Marais is a total dream if you are looking for classic, comforting French food in Paris! Tucked away in the trendy Marais district, it has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely top-notch. It is the perfect cozy spot to enjoy a fabulous meal and a great glass of Burgundy wine after a day of exploring the city!

We found this wonderful family style restaurant by accident. Each dish we ordered was superb in taste and presentation. The food is first class and the prices reflect it but not too much. We had our 3 year old grandson with us and they go out of their way to include him. From entrees to plats to desert we would not have changed a thing. Best meal I have enjoyed in all of France.
Molly Chen★★★★★
I came to this restaurant for lunch, and it was a lovely experience. The owner is so kind and friendly. The walls show the history of the restaurant, which I absolutely adore. It's beautiful when you know you are being welcomed into an establishment of a family. There are cute duck decorations all around the place. The owner is so attentive and brings out the food at the perfect time. I had the Trilogie de foie gras and duck confit. The plating is on par with fine dining. Love the little floral decorations! The sauces were so delicious and refreshing. I like the foie gras poele, it goes really well with the fresh crunchy bread. I have to admit I was being a bit adventurous, because I am not a fan of alcohol, so the foie gras with rum was not to my palette, but I can tell it was made exquisitely and the rum sauce is very delicate. Someone who enjoys the taste will definitely love it. The texture was smooth and perfect! Foie gras confit was also served in a generous portion, it tasted fresh and with much flavors of the poultry. For people who appreciate this version of foie gras, I think you will also love it! The duck confit has a really crispy skin, that is my favorite part of the dish. The potatoes were well dressed in spices and super delicious. The foie gras and bread were quite filling, so I wish I could finish the amazing potatoes. I saw some pictures from other reviews of the Tournedos Rossini, and maybe that is something I should get next time. I think a slight regret for the duck confit is that the underside of the meat might be a bit too dry. Perhaps braised a bit too long, the meat in the area was tough and flaky. When I ate it, the fibers got stuck in my throat and made me cough (which I think, scared the owner, my apologies. Good to be cautious of coughing tourists! He was very polite). I have tried duck confit at different calibers of restaurants, and there was only a few that didn't have dried up bottom. You have to be really lucky for the chef to get it perfectly juicy. Anyway, I probably embarrassed myself. The food is still really tasty, and feels like a cozy family run restaurant that gives its best to deliver their delicacies to their visitors.
Heikki Kegg★★★★★
We came to have dinner at Le Bistro du Périgord on the recommendation of our local friends. We wanted to enjoy good French cuisine. The dining room is fairly small and intimate, decorated with photos of celebrities who have visited the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. After our pastis drinks, we chose the three‑course menus. For starters, we both had excellent Escargots de Bourgogne. My main course was Medaillon de rumsteack, which was nearly perfect, while my companion had Magret de canard, which was good but nothing particularly special. For dessert, the Millefeuille pommes and the Café Gourmand were both delicious. The restaurant’s wine list included good options also available in half bottles. In terms of price level, the restaurant is upper middle class but not excessively expensive. Overall, our dining experience here was very good, and we can recommend it to anyone who appreciates French cuisine.
Leona Fisher★★★★★
I stopped in for lunch with my sister on a whim and we grabbed a table outside. We weren’t expecting much since we had simply stumbled upon it, but it completely exceeded our expectations. We shared the escargot and the fish, and honestly, it might have been the best meal I had on this trip. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was outstanding, and the whole experience was fantastic. I absolutely loved this place!
Janessa Hasper★★★★★
My absolute favorite meal of my solo trip to Paris. I felt warm and welcome upon entering, and that was just the beginning — the plates were so beautifully created and presented, and I ate my entire duck plate. The red wine sauce was divine. The dessert assortment — impeccable. All served by the owner himself. Will be a must go for me! Merci beaucoup!

Outstanding food, beautiful atmosphere, and one of the best dining experiences we had in Paris. The duck was exceptional and literally melted in our mouths, and Barbara made the evening even more special with her warm, friendly, and fun service. A perfect restaurant near the Eiffel Tower that we will absolutely visit again.

We wanted an easy casual dinner for Friday evening and this restaurant fit the bill. I heard that it was a bit of a tourist trap but I wanted to go somewhere that had duck confit because that is my husband's favorite dish and that was surprisingly more difficult to find in Paris than I expected. We made a 7:15 reservation knowing that it would be on the early side for Paris but were fine being seated in a mostly empty restaurant. The service was quick and the food was good. The wine/cocktail selection left a little to be desired but over all this ended up being exactly what we were looking for, a quick and satisfying dinner spot.

Could not have had a nicer evening at La Fontaine de Mars! We had dinner on a Sunday and had the roasted chicken plat du jour and it was absolutely delicious. I will dream about it & those mashed potatoes. Leak starter was also good and the floating island dessert was so fun & tasty. Service was great as well. No complaints. I know this resturant is close to the Eiffel Tower & that usually means the food won’t good, but this place is an exception. I can’t wait to come back one day! Reservations can easily be made online.

Excellent - we popped in by chance and had a wonderful time. The Staff were very friendly; offering terrific service. The menu was quite expansive and reasonably priced (for Paris). We had a lovely evening at La Fontaine de Mars.

We didn’t manage to make reservation for a Friday night but we walked-in around 9pm and only waited 10mins to get in. We were seated upstairs, but it was very “warm” even all the windows were slightly open… The two managers downstairs were nice, but a few other waiters including in the one who served us had the “classic” french attitude, e.g. he took my order wrong, and i had a bite or two to make sure nothing i ordered was there, when clarified, he had no problem to change it back but sarcastically said “but you ate it.”. We refilled the bread once, when we almost finished the second basket, we were reminded that only the first refill is free, it will be €10 each basket then on. I think its the first time i heard need to pay for bread refill ever since i live across in Europe for years… When he was cleaning up the table, he spilled a few drops of balsamic on my white jeans, im not sure if he noticed it but i didnt want to make drama, so i didnt say anything but just gave no tips. Food-wise, foie gras was how it is supposed to be, duck was properly cooked but just there were tendons not removed, chicken was okay. The portion was rather small in general as in the pictures except for the foie gras. And we didn’t manage to try the creme burlee because it’s sold out.

A bit of a mixed experience for us. The service was easily 10/10. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive and professional. The atmosphere was nice and the location was very convenient too. Food wise, The lobster bisque and snails were alright, although the snails were a little too oily for me. I had higher expectations for the squid ink risotto, The squid was nice, but the risotto itself felt a bit underseasoned, on the pricier end and small portion Lovely service, but the food was just okay for us.

Had a wonderful dining experience here in Paris. The restaurant has such a warm and authentic French atmosphere, and everything we ordered was delicious. The Daube de Boeuf was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the Crème Brûlée was absolutely amazing. Even the champagne and cappuccino were excellent. A special thank you to our server, Stella, who made the experience even more memorable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire meal. Her positive energy and genuine friendliness made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of. Definitely one of the loveliest dining experiences I’ve had in Paris. Highly recommended!

Good service, the restaurant is quite small but we managed to have a seat at the counter. The food was good, appetizer were better than the main course. The downside is the open kitchen and the horrible smell you get on your clothes, it sticks pretty tight. Staff was friendly and the price are average, even though I think a chicken breast for 28 € is pretty expensive. Nice experience.

A great dining experience in Paris. All the waiters showed their hospitality and kindness. Especially Jo and Stella showed their passion on us. We also met the chef, Chiahao, who is from Taiwan. Both of his culinary and personality are outstanding. I’d strongly suggest the dish of Risotto de pâres and Moqueca Cabillaud. I’d definitely revisit here again when I come to Paris.

A cute nice little restaurant with very cosy sitting area. It got couple of tables only and they are close to each other, however I considered that part of the experience. Food is yummy and snails were perfectly cooked.

Last meal in Paris and was super fortunate to find this wonderful restaurant! Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. I didn’t plan on getting a dessert, but ended up ordering a second because the first was so good! Highly recommend the Brioche French Toast with ice cream. One of the best things I ate in the whole city! 10/10 will be back. Merci!

This small bistro in the heart of Paris is highly recommended. Their set menu quality of food relative to its price is impressive. It feels very home-style cooking presented in a more elevated way.

Food was solid. I had their steak tartare. It was so good I went there again on the same trip. The couple next to me was having the beef wine stew, which also looked extremely delicious. Staff are friendly. Kitchen is highly efficient. Clean and cozy atmosphere. Definitely a restaurant I want to go back again.

Loved this spot. The staff was very friendly to us Americans. They had great food and a great atmosphere. We were able to sit outside under umbrellas but they had indoor seating as well. If you are visiting Notre Dame area this is a must stop for lunch.

L’Auberge des Deux Ponts is the kind of family-run restaurant that’s becoming harder and harder to find in this part of Paris, where it’s all too easy to end up in an overpriced tourist trap. The food is classic French cuisine, cooked with confidence and without unnecessary flourishes. Simple dishes, well executed, that remind you why French food deserves it’s fame. Service is friendly, prices are reasonable for the neighborhood, and the crowd is a healthy mix of locals and tourists who seem to have done their homework. A reliable choice when you want an authentic meal instead of a restaurant designed for Instagram.

This is our favorite restaurant in Paris with the best Confit de Canard in the world! On arrival it's the first place we visit as well as the last before we leave. This is a one man operation as you are greeted by the owner at the door who seats you. Takes your order, cooks and delivers your food, then clears the table afterward. It is such a delight! It feels like you are part of the process. Already looking forward to next year returning to Paris and this restaurant.

This restaurant feels like the French version of a farm-to-table eatery in the U.S. We arrived early and were warmly greeted by the owner—only to realize later that he was also the chef and the waiter. The experience felt intimate and personal, as if we were dining in someone’s home rather than a restaurant. Every dish was incredibly authentic, made with care and precision. The flavors were rich and traditional, showcasing classic French culinary techniques. The atmosphere was cozy and unpretentious, adding to the charm. If you’re looking for a genuine, old-school French dining experience, this place is a hidden gem.

Very nice French restaurant ! We had a great dinner. If you want to have an authentic French dinner you have to go there. The chef is super nice and he is also the cook and the waiter. The price is super good for a dinner in Paris at a 10/10 location. We paid 25€ for a 2 course menu. If i wrote a travel guide it would definitely be in it.

We had an elegant authentic French dinner served by a guy (owner-waiter-chef-cashier) in the white t-shirt. The octopus (a must order in my opinion), the duck (a must order if you eat meat), and everything else was delicious! The presentation was great! The price was very reasonable. My heart was broken when I saw all these people checked the menu outside and decided to move on, they didn’t know what they were missing.

It was an absolutely terrible experience. First, we placed our order from the menu. Thankfully, the soup arrived quickly and was average in taste. But the real fiasco started after that. We waited a full 45 minutes for our main course. It arrived and was delicious. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our dessert, and it tasted incredibly bad. It was the worst crème brûlée I've ever had. We also waited a while to pay the bill. It came to 25 Euros, which is cheaper than average for Paris. We spent over two hours just to have dinner. I would understand if it was very busy and the waiters couldn't keep up. But I don't understand how they can make you wait that long in a place where only two tables were occupied. It was definitely a very bad experience. Our two-day Paris vacation was completely squeezed in because of this, and we couldn't even go to a museum.

We left feeling that this was more of a 3.5-star experience than a 5-star one. The €18 set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) is a good value for Paris, and the restaurant itself is cute and comfortable, with fans that help a lot on hot summer days. The French onion soup was good and exactly what you’d expect. My grilled salmon with potatoes and green beans was decent, although the cheese sauce wasn’t necessary. The chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée (a €2 upgrade) were both enjoyable, with the crème brûlée being the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, my wife’s dishes were disappointing. The mussels were incredibly small—by far the smallest we’ve ever seen—and there was very little meat in them. Her lamb chops also had far too much fat. Out of the two chops, there were only a few bites of actual meat, which made the portion feel quite disappointing. Overall, the meal was okay and the price is attractive, but the inconsistent quality keeps me from rating it higher.

Greeting was great, service was good as the gent was super friendly, but I can't say I loved the food. French onion soup was the most disappointing as it just looked like the bread and cheese were just tossed into the bowl. The fondue was decent and the beef was tender. All in all, I enjoyed the experience more than the actual meal and I loved the feeling of family. Just had better

Very good food for what you pay. The escargots were very good and the crème brûlée also. The fillet mignon was not good, it wasn’t fillet mignon just a piece of tough meat cooked for way too long. But it is expected considering the affordability. I would suggest it and I would visit again!

Had the €17.90 deal for dinner with a couple upgrades; Snails (6pcs), Duck Confit (+€2), and the Crème Brûlée (+€2). Delicious food, fast service (despite the restaurant being quite busy), pretty decor, and friendly staff (even refilled my free bread basket once I finished the first one!). Enjoyed every course, glad I came here!

The food here is absolutely moreish. So yum! I had the onion soup, confit veal and a Saint Germain spritz. Mouth wateringly good. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely dinner at Les Deux Colombes, a quirky little bistro hidden on a side street by the Seine. We sat in the front of the restaurant so could see the 2 chefs hard at work. Starters arrived quickly, french onion soup and pate en croute, both of which were delicious. We then had confit lamb and rabbit in mustard sauce, tasty and good portion size. Dessert was a delicious and rich lemon cheesecake. Would highly recommend for a delicious meal, the friendly staff, and the chilled atmosphere. It was raining when we were there but I am sure on a clear night where we were seated by the windows would have been even better.

The staff at this restaurant were very accommodating for my challenging allergies (garlic, onion, shallots). They changed the Buddha bowl for me to make it safe, and it was so delicious. Often with the accommodations needed with this allergy, I end up with a dish with no sauce or dressing. Not here. Thank you so much, Les Deux Colombes!

Our party of 5 made a reservation about 2 weeks before and I’m glad we did. The inside is very cozy and mostly had 2-4 person tables. If you have a larger group I would suggest making a reservation. The staff were very friendly and spoke both French and English. They asked our questions as first timers in their restaurant. As for the food, you know it’ll be authentic and good when they only have a French menu! It was our first night in Paris and so we ordered a good amount of food: -Onion Soup (€13): large bowl of delicious soup -Escargot (9/€17): served with bread; loved the pesto flavor -Bone Marrow (€15): large piece served with about 6 pieces of bread -Duck Confit (€27): served with potatoes; the sauce tasted great -Entrecote (€29.50): served with fries We had an amazing experience here and I highly recommend this place for some good French food.

Just round the corner from Notre Dame, this is a gorgeous hidden gem. Far less busy than the other places just round the corner. Great atmosphere and beautiful food. Haven't had chips or mayo like them! Great staff too. Thanks all!

Tips for Choosing a Restaurant Near Pont Alexandre III

Selecting the right restaurant in such a tourist-heavy area requires a bit of strategy to avoid tourist traps while maximizing your culinary experience. The area surrounding the bridge is affluent, meaning prices can be high, but the quality often justifies the cost if you know where to look. Here are some essential tips to ensure you have an unforgettable meal in this historic part of Paris.

Prioritize Reservations, Especially for Dinner
The restaurants near Pont Alexandre III are frequented by both Parisian locals and international visitors. Walking in without a reservation, particularly on weekends or during peak tourist seasons, will often result in a long wait or being turned away. Always call ahead or book online a day or two in advance.

Understand the French Service Hours
Parisian kitchens typically operate on a strict schedule. Lunch is usually served from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner service often does not begin until 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM. If you are hungry at 6:00 PM, you will find most kitchens closed. Plan your sightseeing schedule around these traditional dining windows.

Look for the "Formule" or "Prix Fixe" Menus
To experience the high-end cuisine of the 7th and 8th arrondissements without breaking the bank, look for set menus. Many upscale restaurants near the bridge offer a lunch formula that includes two or three courses at a significantly reduced price compared to ordering à la carte in the evening.

Dress the Part
While Paris has become more casual in recent years, the restaurants in this specific district tend to maintain a smart-casual dress code. You will feel more comfortable and receive better service if you avoid athletic wear and opt for elegant, understated clothing, especially in the evening.

Check for Terrace Availability
If you are visiting during the spring or summer, dining on a terrace is a quintessential Parisian experience. However, outdoor tables are limited and highly sought after. When making your reservation, specifically request a seat on the terrace if the weather permits.

The area around Pont Alexandre III offers a dining experience that is intrinsically linked to the grandeur of the city itself. Whether you choose a historic institution that has served politicians and artists for decades or a modern bistro pushing the boundaries of French cuisine, you are participating in a rich cultural tradition.

Taking the time to savor a meal here is the perfect way to rest your feet after exploring the Invalides or the Champs-Élysées. With a little planning and the right selection from our list, your meal near the bridge can become one of the defining memories of your trip to Paris.
