I gave my partner a massage for Father's Day last year. Like many people, we thought a gift certificate was valid for a year. Imagine our surprise when we discovered afterward that it was only valid for six months!
The most disappointing thing wasn't even the validity period, but the complete lack of customer service when we contacted the establishment. We were hoping for a little understanding or some kind of compensation, but we received a curt reply: "Well, yes, it's too late, goodbye." End of discussion.
Losing a customer because of a few weeks or months of the validity period being overdue is one thing. Treating customers who have already paid with such little consideration is quite another.
A very disappointing experience that makes me absolutely not want to return to or recommend this establishment. Being in the business myself, I know it's possible to apply terms and conditions while showing a minimum of understanding and consideration for customers. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
A perfectly tailored 2-hour treatment, pure bliss, absolutely perfect! A very pleasant private spa experience, the body scrub and massage were incredibly relaxing, leaving me feeling completely refreshed. The team was top-notch and professional! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

I had a gift certificate for a 20-minute massage, and arriving as tense as a bowstring, I wasn't expecting much in such a short time.
Surprisingly, Adeline's magic touch worked wonders. Even in such a short time. I love that they offer you a choice of scents and ask if the pressure is right. It's really great!
I left feeling like I was floating on air and as relaxed as after a longer massage.

Difficulties in booking appointments, involving text messages and phone calls (it was too early to call, "actually we're closed that day," "that time will be difficult"). Misunderstandings regarding gift vouchers, where the details differed from the website ("VALID FOR: 1-HOUR SPA DUO + 1-HOUR 30-MINUTE AUSAVON BLACK SCRUB" on the voucher, and 1 hour 30 minutes on the website).
A pleasant experience nonetheless.
Disappointed! The place itself is quite nice, with a wellness area featuring a jacuzzi and hammam.
But for several reasons, I wouldn't recommend it:
It's a shame that part of the jacuzzi wasn't working (the reclining position), and we weren't informed beforehand. As for the hammam, it was rather weak; I had to stand up to feel the effects.
There was no shower gel provided. The tea was fine.
And to top it all off, the owner opened the door and entered the private area during our reservation (without realizing we were there) and apologized rather strangely... Five minutes before the end of our reservation, she told us it was time to leave: fine. And then, when it was time to leave, she rushed us out because there was another reservation after... even though we had been in the area for exactly one hour! (Regarding the internal clock)...
=> We didn't understand how it's possible to have one reservation ending at one time and another starting at the same time. The cleaning is done in 2 minutes, yuck!

A pleasant and relaxing time spent at the Villa Royale in Angoulins with my mother on Saturday afternoon. The setting is calm and conducive to relaxation, allowing us to enjoy a lovely moment together.
We appreciated the body scrub and the Californian massage, which were pleasant and relaxing. However, having already had treatments at other spas, we felt that the therapists sometimes lacked a bit of skill and experience in the movements and rhythm of the massage.
We were also disappointed not to be able to use the jacuzzi. It's a shame that access to the jacuzzi, hammam, and sauna isn't included when a treatment is booked, or at least better explained beforehand when making the reservation.
Finally, a few extra touches would have made the experience warmer and more upscale: offering tea or herbal infusions after the treatment, more smiles, gentleness, and more personalized attention. It's often these little details that make all the difference in a moment of well-being.
An overall pleasant experience, but one that could be even more cozy and memorable with a few improvements.

Beautiful new spa. Lovely pool area with loungers and jets in the pools plus an outside pool you can swim to. Massage was delivered as booked on a very comfortable table with a very competent masseuse who checked what you needed then did it. Some French is a big advantage at this point.

We had a wonderful time at the spa during our couples massage package. The welcome was warm, the establishment is very clean, and the atmosphere is particularly relaxing. The massage was perfectly performed by Alice and Maël, who were very professional and attentive to our well-being. This relaxing break allowed us to completely recharge. This company is utterly dishonest, avoid them at all costs! I called in the morning to book a spa appointment for the afternoon with my wife. The slot was available, everything seemed fine. I mentioned it was with a Wonderbox gift set, and from that moment on, I knew I wouldn't get the slot. They told me they'd call me back in 5 minutes to confirm the gift set details. 15 minutes later, still nothing. I called again, and got their voicemail. I called again 10 minutes later, voicemail once more. I called a third time with a different number, and this time, as if by magic, they answered. They told me they couldn't call me back because they didn't have my number (it's true, with call history, it's difficult to get it) and that, of course, the slot was no longer available because, strangely enough, a slot had shifted by 5 minutes, and that had thrown off the entire schedule. Unbelievable, all these coincidences! It was the same story a few weeks ago.
It's not worthy of a business owner to be this dishonest! If you don't want to accept the gift boxes, just say so clearly. Especially since this was outside of weekends and school holidays.

Great communication as my email booking was followed by a quick call and message. The ambience was authentic modern Thai chic, clean and welcoming. We did a couple massage and the therapists were both very professional and well trained in their art. My husband and I were absolutely relaxed and hoped our session lasted another 30mins. I am very disappointed with my experience.
I had a Smartbox and wanted to book two body massages. I initially paid an additional €25 through the Smartbox app to upgrade my gift box and access the massage, which was understandable since the value of my box was less than the price of the treatment.
Before finalizing the booking, I called the establishment to confirm they accepted Smartboxes. I was then told I would have to pay an additional €15. As my Smartbox was about to expire, I agreed and activated my gift voucher for this establishment.
Unfortunately, I was then unable to contact the establishment. I tried calling back several times and also sent an email, but never received a response. Meanwhile, my gift voucher expired. Unable to modify it, my Smartbox eventually expired as well.
When I contacted Smartbox customer service, they explained that the rates had already been negotiated with the partner establishments and that I shouldn't have had to pay the extra €15.
As a result, I never got to enjoy my treatment and I lost my entire Smartbox voucher. It's a very frustrating experience, and I wanted to share it so that others are careful before booking.

We received the "Happy New Year" gift box and chose Abélys Spa for a massage each. I exchanged a few emails with Chantal to book the appointment, giving her my check number and confirmation code. Then, on the day of the appointment, I called to ask if I needed to bring anything, and Chantal told me I had to bring the check from the gift box. I had already mentioned in my emails that I no longer had it, but that my account had been recovered, which is why I was able to give her the number and confirmation code printed as a PDF. However, she refused it and canceled our massage two hours before it was scheduled. We had arranged for our young daughter to be looked after specifically for this appointment, which I took a while to book (to which Chantal replied that she was an esthetician, not a secretary...it seems to me that answering emails to schedule appointments is part of her job to be able to use her esthetician skills). Anyway, Chantal was rather unpleasant during this phone conversation, treating us like fraudsters even though I had a piece of paper with the codes (which I couldn't reuse elsewhere!). I'm wasting some energy on this review; it's certainly not worth it, but it reflects my disappointment, and it's no way to treat people. In the end, it's a good thing the massage didn't happen; I wouldn't have gained anything from it!
What a wonderful discovery! I had a lavender mist followed by a relaxing back massage. It was a truly blissful experience. The woman who took care of me was very professional and you could tell she loves her work. This made the experience even more enjoyable. The massage was both gentle and invigorating. I highly recommend it!

We arrived late at night and were greeted by a warm, kind gentleman, Louis. He has gone above and beyond to ensure our comfort: letting us use the sauna late at night after our long journey, complimentary late check out and was overall exuding utmost kindness and care. This level of service brought the establishment to the next level for us. Also we loved the spa experience: it's very complete with jacuzzi, dry sauna, sunbeds and tea 🍵 ☕️🫖 The experience was very relaxing and made us enjoy la Rochelle! Would love to come back!
I accidentally forgot my toiletry bag in the room after check-out and went straight to the airport. I realised this during the security check and contacted the hotel immediately, followed by several calls over the next days.
Despite clear and prompt notification, the hotel staff showed no real effort to help or recover the item. I never received a meaningful response or solution. The bag was most likely discarded or otherwise not handled according to a proper lost-and-found process.

Really lovely hotel with great staff and service! Its location is perfect, close to everything and the park is beautiful next door. I have no complaints and really enjoyed my stay here. The room was comfortable and large, and I loved my spa session. It’s calm and peaceful and very reasonably priced. 100% recommend and would come back. They made sure to find gluten free breakfast options that taste good, which I really appreciate!

I found myself in Nieul sur Mer while my husband played golf & I decided to have a head spa - the treatment was amazing and so relaxing. I don’t think my hair or scalp has ever been treated so well. Kristy was so gentle I could have fallen asleep. And my hair felt amazing for days afterwards. Will definitely come back.
