I stayed in la Rochelle for my vacation and really wanted some relax time. I didn't know the spa but the pictures and the nice Google reviews convinced me to give "mille et une beauté" a chance and it was wonderful! All the people working there were nice and welcoming. My French is not the best anymore and I have some problems understanding when others talk very quickly (something normal in France). The ladys there were pacient and I had no problem understanding them. They use high quality products, I didn't have any bad reactions to them. They have an online booking service, I booked a hydration facial and the eyebrow reconstruction. The facial was wonderfuly clensing and very relaxing. You get a nice massage and a after facial tea! The eyebrows look nice and clean and have the right shape for my face. I can only recommend these spa, I might even visit them one more time before heading home.

This institute is absolutely perfect in every way. The "Mille et Une Bulles" treatment is truly amazing; you never get tired of it. The staff are incredibly attentive, and you're even offered orange slices and tea during the hammam... everything is spotless and everything is really excellent. I also recommend the caramel waxing, which is the best waxing method available.

Unacceptable. I made an appointment by phone for a nail polish removal, not specifying what type of nails I had because I'm not very knowledgeable about nail care and I wasn't familiar with the salon. The woman didn't ask me any questions either and confirmed the appointment. I arrived at the salon, and she saw my nails and realized they were acrylics. She told me they didn't do those removals but took me in anyway and showed me upstairs.
Once I was seated, she started removing the color with an electric file while telling me she wasn't going to remove the acrylics. So I asked her why they took me in anyway if they don't offer that service? I don't see the point of just removing the color from acrylics when a client is asking for a complete removal. They should have said no right away; it's a waste of time for both the salon and me. So she stopped abruptly, turned off the nail drill just as she was starting on my thumb, and told me we were stopping there and I could leave. I left 15 minutes later, with discolored fingers on one hand and half my thumb removed, still with my nail tips in. Outrageous. It's not the clients' responsibility to ask the right questions on the phone when booking appointments because we're not the professionals!
As a customer for years, I recommend this institute; you are always warmly welcomed and can go there with your eyes closed, the services are of high quality.

I am very disappointed with my experience. During the removal of my semi-permanent polish, the nail drill was used far too aggressively. My nails came out very thin, damaged, and poorly filed. My nails are now fragile and sensitive, which wasn't the case before my appointment. I understand that removal can slightly weaken nails, but not to this extent. I would have appreciated more care and professionalism. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify a few points.
The fact that the service was performed by an independent professional does not change my opinion. As a client, I made an appointment at your establishment, and it is therefore normal that my feedback concerns the salon where the service was performed.
Regarding the lifting of my previous polish, this in no way justifies the condition my nails were in after removal. Lifting of the nail plate is not synonymous with damaged nails and does not explain such significant thinning of the nail plate.
Furthermore, the protective treatment offered at the end of the service would not have prevented the damage I see today. My main concern is the way the removal was performed: the use of the electric file was, in my opinion, far too aggressive, and the removal was not carried out with the expected care, particularly without sufficiently softening the product before filing.
My opinion does not question your commitment to customer satisfaction. It simply reflects my personal experience and the condition of my nails following this service, which I sincerely regret.

Extremely disappointing work from one of the nail technicians who removed my gel nails on September 3rd, 2026! She simply used an electric file to remove the gel and applied a top coat, leaving hairs stuck in my nails! She filed my nails very poorly, leaving the job unfinished, and charged me €25. It's simply shameful!
