The city’s compact size means most wellness destinations are conveniently located within walking distance of the historic center.
Prepare to unwind as we explore the most exceptional wellness retreats this ancient city has to offer. Here are the top-rated spas that consistently earn high praise for their service and atmosphere.

I had a wonderful time at Anamae Spa with my mother; I booked the Mother's Day package. I enjoyed the private jacuzzi, the pool, and a massage by Oxana and Léa, and everything was perfect. The welcome was very warm, and the team was professional and attentive. This experience allowed me to completely relax; it was truly incredible. A big thank you to Oxana and Léa for their kindness and the quality of their massage. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience! We came on February 14th for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a very pleasant one-hour Balinese massage and private access to the spa for an hour (hammam, sauna, jacuzzi). We were treated to some little surprises, which I'll let you discover for yourselves 🤫

A huge thank you to Amae Spa for this wonderful couples massage. We had an exceptionally relaxing time in a beautifully decorated treatment room. Special mention goes to the two therapists whose meticulous movements, gentleness, and professionalism made this experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for your warm welcome and this moment of well-being that we won't soon forget!

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The location is superb, and the spa was a great and a welcome experience after extensive travel - and what a surprise to have such fabulous views of the coliseum from the spa window.
Room 7 offered both exceptional views and plenty of space for all of our backpacks and other luggage. The reception is homey, whimsical, and a bit spacious with a play space for children. I love the focus on local design to highlight the city's photography school and artistic community. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful and the restaurant out front offers great views and people-watching. We enjoyed coffee and croissants out front one morning, and for the other morning, I was delighted by the superb quality of the breakfast buffet.
Thank you, Ricardo, for being so helpful and warm.

My aunt, Anahid Djeghalian, spent a few days in Arles with her family she we stayed at the Calendal hotel.
They had such a lovely and comfortable stay.
The location and the hotel itself were great but above all it was the very welcoming, warm and efficient team of the hotel notably under the leadership of Nathalie that made our stay marvelous.
Message from my aunt:
Thank you Nathalie for this amazing experience.
I am looking forward to going back to hotel Calendal when we travel to Arles.

Our best hotel yet. We were given a room with view over Theatre Antiques and rooftops. Fantastic friendly staff. Good food and drinks. Spa with view and steam room well received after biking during days.
Ana Flynn★☆☆☆☆
Our experience in this hotel was quite appalling. Our standards are not that high, but the room we got looked like a youth hostel. The furniture was old, the beds were awful and the bathroom was the worse part. One of the nights I went to shower and there was no hot water. In the bathroom the paint is peeling off the walls. In the shower you could barely lift your arms to wash your hair. When asked for fresh towels at the front desk, I was met with some reluctance. Breakfast was just okay. We had to stay here as part of a group tour, so we did not have a choice. The hotel’s location is nice, but I would never stay here again. It was unimaginable to be that hotel contained a spa, and I did not dare to try the spa by the looks of the place. The building, rooms, breakfast, and customer service leave much to be desired. If you do stay here get a room away from staircase so you do not hear people going up and down all the time. There is no elevator.
Leah D'Souza★★★★★
The people who run this place are incredible and go above & beyond to ensure their guests are taken care of. The rooms are incredible.. huge, comfortable beds and very clean. They have a lovely garden and secure bike storage. The hotel is also right on the viarhona cycle path. The breakfast here was so declicious - yogurt, fresh fruits, cheese and lots of baked goods.
It is also right next to the colosseum and lots of restaurants in this area. This was a wonderful stay. Thank you for everything!

I'm an Accor Platinum member and booked a suite directly. The room the front desk gave us at check-in was completely different from the pictures on their website —too simple and basic. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and the front desk offered us two other rooms that were still not clean yet, which were equally terrible. Finally, they gave us a room on the second floor that looked similar to the pictures on their website , and it had already been cleaned! My question is: I know this is a hotel converted from a monastery, which is why I like MGallery—each room might be different! But why did they give us a room that was still being cleaned?
This is the way the hotel treated a loyalty member?
We booked dinner, and the restaurant staffs were excellent, as the staff at the poolside lunch area, so our dining experience was also very pleasant!
What a pity Check-in experience ruined the impression of the hotel !
What a waste of such a beautiful hotel!
司徒王★★☆☆☆
As an AllAccor Platinum member, I ordered a Junior Suite as shown on the hotel’s website with beautiful design and bright lighting. What I received upon check in was a dark suite with a dirty old carpet floor and depressing overall feeling. After some complaints, we were offered 3 alternatives which were slightly better but still with dirty carpet floors and nowhere near what was pictured on the internet.
The whole hotel needs a serious overhaul.
Apart from the abysmal rooms and bad check-in experience , location of the hotel is very good, and staff is friendly.
Overall, I would choose another hotel next time.
Referring to the hotel’s response, the attached pictures speak for themselves
Nicolas Smirnoff★★★★★
Hôtel & Spa Jules César is the best of the best in Arles. It's iconic, sophisticated and very comfortable! It blends the calm of a former monastery with Christian Lacroix’s bold, colourful style, mixing history with modern comfort in a way that feels effortless. Art and design sit naturally alongside warmth and relaxation, and everywhere you go, you feel the spirit of Arles. From the historic buildings and peaceful gardens to the suites, pool, spa (it's truly fabulous), and Lou Marquès’ food, the hotel feels like a place to experience greatness!
Artem Popov★★★★☆
Good location, close to the center, but still a bit secluded. There's a large parking lot two minutes away from the hotel where you can leave your car.
Andrew Robbins★★★☆☆
My wife and I were on holiday and traveling with a friend who was solo. Our friend was given an upgraded room and we were shown to a handicap accessible room without being asked if this was. I am 188cm tall. My wife is tall for a woman. Everything in the room was too low. The makeup mirror was at navel level for my wife (as an example). The shower had no door so water went everywhere. Overall, we were very disappointed and would not recommend the hotel. Also, the 3 of us had dinner in the hotel. We were the only patrons at dinner. The server was kind but spent long periods of time talking to people outside the restaurant so service felt very slow and inattentive.

Judging by the reviews, it looks like a superb place to relax...
Today I went with my daughter, but the jacuzzi was unusable because the chlorine smell in the room was so strong.
There was only one shower for the sauna and hammam.
Let's talk about the massage.
I felt like I was at an osteopath's office, a disgrace considering the price.
I just wanted a relaxing massage.
What a farce!
A treat I only buy myself occasionally with my savings 😤
To console me, my daughter was delighted with her massage.
Sabine TAICH★★★★★
A magnificent spa, a cozy atmosphere. A massage therapist who listens attentively and transports you to another world.
A herbal tea with almonds and apricots at the end of the treatment, a small touch that allows you to remain in a state of tranquility in this relaxing setting.
A truly wonderful experience that I'll repeat very soon.
Now I know I need to arrive well before my treatment time to enjoy the jacuzzi, hammam, and sauna.
Jeanine L'ornez★★☆☆☆
So, how can I put it? I had the best massage of my life, the masseuses were amazing and incredibly kind, but the facilities leave much to be desired – the hammam was dirty with broken tiles – and in the showers, there was no shower gel or shampoo, just empty bottles, even though it was 10:30 am for a 5-star establishment. That's a shame. The jacuzzi and sauna were pleasant, except when they advertise private use with at least a 25-minute rotation, while people barge in after only 10 minutes. I was so annoyed... And when I came out of the showers, surprise, the changing room was occupied (only one place to change). Then, I left the spa and the receptionist didn't even say goodbye... Not great for a 5-star establishment.

I was lucky enough to receive a massage and facial as a gift... a timeless moment in Marlene's gentle hands. I feel completely refreshed.

A swaddled bath for our newborn after a difficult birth.
The empathetic approach allowed all three of us a wonderful moment, filled with emotion and tenderness, to reconnect. I had never seen my baby so peaceful as during the bath.

Baby massage workshop + postpartum massage.
I had a magical time with Maéva and my almost 6-month-old baby.
For the postpartum massage, I recommend doing it alone without your baby to truly enjoy this moment of self-care. Maéva gives excellent massages, and the atmosphere is wonderful.
For the baby massage, Maéva demonstrates all the techniques on a doll, and you then replicate the massage on your own baby. It was a magical moment to share with your little one 🥰
I highly recommend it!

A huge thank you to Maeva for her kindness and support throughout the bath session.
It was much more than just a bath for my son; it was therapy, a connection, and a source of well-being for both parents and child.
My son has never been so peaceful, and neither have we, after the appointment.
I highly recommend it—a magical moment with someone who listens attentively and offers valuable advice based on her own experiences.
Thank you for the wonderful experience we shared during this appointment.

I really enjoyed this spa; it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience, complete with a lovely little tea!
A true haven of well-being. There's a button on the side to activate the jacuzzi bubbles. I was alone, and I must say it was a truly relaxing experience.

A lovely time spent with a friend. A great place to relax, and a lemonade was waiting for us. A warm welcome.
Christine Berthon★★☆☆☆
Beautiful view of the amphitheater, but I was cold in the space... the jacuzzi wasn't hot enough and the bubbles weren't strong enough. It would be nice to provide disposable flip-flops and offer a wider selection of herbal teas. On the other hand, Manon gave a fantastic massage; she was attentive and caring.

A relaxing afternoon despite the less-than-ideal weather.
Very pleasant. Includes a one-hour massage by a very attentive Manon.

While the welcome was friendly, the relaxation area was disappointing. The jacuzzi was only 32 degrees, and the hammam was uncomfortable. Therefore, the price was too high at €28.

Had a 10am appointment. Arrived at 9:53. Door was locked and staff only started: a lof talking, going around and not at all welcoming. Lady at the reception was surprised and her command of English was not good, not at all at the professional level of 5 star hotel service. No tea, no fresh water while waiting. Nothing. Therapist was late. Poor start for a massage. Cannot recommend unless you really need one and expectations are at 3 star.
Léa Jaime Pomares★★★★★
I had the pleasure of discovering the Baumanière Spa, and I can't recommend it highly enough; the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the enchanting setting of the soothing gardens and the tranquil atmosphere immediately invite you to relax.
The sensory pool is a marvel: perfectly heated water, massaging jets, soft lighting… a true haven of relaxation. The hammam and sauna are immaculate, spacious, and very well maintained, perfect for releasing tension.
I particularly enjoyed the tea room, a calm space overlooking nature, where you can extend your moment of well-being with delicate infusions. The staff is incredibly attentive, discreet, and caring.
But the real highlight was the treatments and massages. A high-end service with excellent quality products, expert techniques, and genuine attentiveness from the therapists. And all this at a reasonable price considering the level of service and professionalism.
A rare place where luxury rhymes with simplicity, serenity, and accessibility. A getaway I would repeat without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team at Spa Baumanière for this magical moment!

We had the pleasure of enjoying the magnificent spa during our stay at the Baumaniere Hotel.
The spa is both stylish and welcoming (with its Provençal charm).
Nature is omnipresent, and the interior design is refined and minimalist. Everything is there to help you relax and enjoy a truly rejuvenating experience.
Furthermore, the massage therapists are available, enthusiastic, and professional in their massage and treatment techniques. A big thank you.

Fanny is an amazing therapist. Wonderful in Water, she understands, senses and feels very intuitively what is best for the receiver.
I love the combination of skills she incorporates in her sessions. On the surface she uses her Watsu magic and then under water she does her WaterDance. She also uses fabrics and pillows all based on what is calling out.
Another big thing that really stuck out for me and made an impression is her knowledge of Ayurveda. She proposed my doshas which made so much sense to me. It has cleared out a lot of confusion I may have had about my patterns and behaviours.
She is a wonderful teacher of aquatic therapies also. I could go on as I always do. I guess there are always many layers to every one. I was fortunate to discover a few more in the time I had with her while on courses in the water.
William Young★★★★★
Fanny is one of the best massage therapists I have ever visited. I was in Arles for most of the month of April, and her studio is less than a quarter of a mile from where I was staying. In addition to conventional massages, which were very good, she also used light therapy and water therapy. The water therapy was in Avignon, and the experience was very much worth the trip. Fanny cares about how your mental outlook affects your physical condition, which is one of the reasons my visits to her were so special.

Myself and my wife visited Fanny for a double booking, my wife is a longtime user of massage and said it was one of the very best she had ever received. I was a first timer and I have to say it was a most amazing experience. A lot of aches and pains gone. All of my stresses and worries lifted. Cannot recommend her enough. If we are ever back this way we will definitely be booking a return visit.

Honestly, the interior is great, no complaints: it's clean and pleasant.
However, being asked to leave every two minutes is really stressful. Even at home, I don't take an hour just to shower… whereas at a hammam, the whole point is to take your time, relax peacefully, and enjoy your treatments without any stress.
It's a shame, because it kind of spoils the experience.

We stayed two nights room with breakfast included, free parking plus possibility to charge electric car for 20€ over night!
The pool was nice and the domain itself is good to walk around, ideal to disconnect from the chaos of the city, attention it might be loud with birds, frogs and insects noises at night, i took earplugs coz i am a light sleeper!
I would definitely recommend this place for 1 or 2 nights stay

This place has a very special "Genius Loci", it's own special character with Africa touches, castle-like interiors. Big garden. Great, really rich breakfast. And fantastic personnel. All interactions we had with all the people were really nice, very pleasant, thank you!
But ... We had very bad room. Far far away from 4**** hotel. You don't expect to have those retractable plastic curtains in your bathroom, combined with ages old pipes and water taps. Curtains in the rooms not to touch because they were not cleaned for ages too. And the garden...must have been nice in the past but is not maintained, dirty ponds giving the rise to huge amount of mosquitos. No, this was not a good deal for the money we paid.
Kayla Jones★★★★★
My husband and I stayed here for (unfortunately) only one night. We absolutely loved the place! It was so charming, beautiful, and romantic. Our room was the Indian room, and it was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. It was a full buffet of pastries, milk, juice, coffee, cheeses and meats, bread and difference jams, etc. just the most adorable and yummy French breakfast. The actual grounds of the bed and breakfast were stunning. We walked around their property for a nice morning walk. There are statues, water fountains and pools with koi. Wisteria and other blossoming plants and trees. The whole establishment was beautiful. We had only booked for one night, and I wished we could have stayed there several nights. I now want to go back to Arles just to stay at this place again.
We also really appreciated the lady who greeted us when we checked in, Andrea. We had received a text saying the reception would close at 8 pm and it gave us the information to open the security gate and how to find our room since we would be arriving later than that. However, we arrived about 8:30 pm and Andrea was still there waiting for us. She walked us through everything we needed to know about the hotel and gave us a little tour. She even gave us a map of Arles and had made notes on it and circled places to park and best places to eat. She was super sweet and really appreciated all she did.
There are also two beautiful German shepherds that come to greet you when you arrive and a cat that we adored. All that to say, we were so impressed with our stay and will recommend to any couple that wants a relaxing, romantic bed and breakfast.

Wonderfully quant estate style hotel, just beyond the outskirts of Arles.
This is not a Best Western or Hilton: it's so much more! A truly boutique plane to escape to, with extensive gardens (6 hectares, I was told!) and lovely landscaping.
There is a large pool by the house but quite secluded, and a spa that I didn't use.
Cannot recommend highly enough

Tips for Choosing the Right Spa in Arles
Selecting the right spa can significantly impact the quality of your relaxation, especially when you are traveling and want to maximize your limited time. The atmosphere of a spa in Provence often differs from urban mega-spas, leaning heavily on local ingredients and a slower, more personalized pace of service. To ensure your experience is exactly what you are hoping for, it helps to know what to look for before you book. Here are several practical tips to help you navigate the local wellness landscape effectively.
Book Ahead, Especially in Summer
Arles is a popular destination during the Rencontres d’Arles photography festival and the summer tourist season. Walk-in availability is rare at the better establishments, so securing your slot a few days in advance is essential to avoid disappointment.
Ask About Local Ingredients
Provence is famous for its olives, lavender, and Camargue salt. Many top spas in Arles incorporate these regional elements into their scrubs and massages. Inquiring about these local specialties can turn a standard treatment into a uniquely regional sensory memory.
Clarify the Hammam and Sauna Policy
If your goal is to use heat facilities, confirm whether access is included with your treatment or requires a separate pass. Some boutique hotels restrict their pool and thermal areas to hotel guests only, while others offer day packages that include a robe, slippers, and full access.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
French massage techniques, while often relaxing, can sometimes be firmer or lighter than what you are used to at home. Do not hesitate to clearly state your preference for "soft" or "strong" pressure at the beginning of your session to ensure the therapist can adjust their technique accordingly.
Check for "Duo" Options
If you are traveling with a partner or a friend, look for spas that offer dual treatment rooms. Sharing a massage or a facial side-by-side can be a wonderful way to bond, but not every facility in Arles has the space to accommodate couples, so verify this when booking.
The true value of a spa visit in Arles lies in the contrast it provides to the bustling streets outside. Stepping out of a treatment room into the golden Provençal light, with relaxed muscles and a clear mind, allows you to appreciate the city’s beauty on a deeper level. It is an investment in your well-being that enhances the rest of your journey.
As you plan your itinerary, remember that rest is just as important as exploration. Taking two hours to recharge will give you the energy to climb to the top of the Roman Amphitheatre or enjoy a long, leisurely dinner on the Place du Forum with renewed vitality. The right spa will not just pamper you; it will prepare you to experience Arles at its very best.
