12 Best Shopping Spots in Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez has long been synonymous with Riviera glamour, but beyond the superyachts and sun-drenched terraces lies a surprisingly diverse shopping scene. It is a place where centuries-old Provençal traditions sit comfortably beside contemporary high fashion, offering something for every kind of visitor.

Whether you are hunting for a signature French fragrance, a hand-stitched leather sandal, or a piece of art to remember the Côte d’Azur, the village rewards those who wander. The narrow, cobbled lanes are packed with independent boutiques that have been family-run for generations.

Shopping here is not just a transaction; it is a sensory experience shaped by the scent of lavender, the sight of sun-bleached linens, and the sound of heels clicking on ancient stone. The compact nature of the old port means you can move effortlessly from a luxury flagship to a hidden artisan workshop in minutes.

Understanding where to go is key to avoiding tourist traps and discovering the authentic retail soul of the village. From the iconic fashion houses clustered near the Place de la Garonne to the bohemian ateliers tucked away in La Ponche, every district has a distinct personality.

This guide focuses on practical, high-quality destinations that provide genuine value, whether you are looking to invest in a timeless piece or simply find a memorable souvenir. We have prioritized spots known for their craftsmanship, heritage, and unique local character rather than fleeting trends.

Before you set out with your credit card, it helps to know which streets cater to which tastes. Below is a curated selection of the most compelling retail destinations currently defining the Saint-Tropez shopping landscape.

Although the label said €7.99 the till rang up a price of €8.99. I went back to the shelf where I had got the item from, took a photo of the price ticket and the cashier was able to correct the price without having to call a manger over which seems very sensible. I bought 2 of the superior add blue which I haven't seen in the UK. I could have bought add blue at a pump where it is half the price, but I wanted the super version.

Shop with a very wide range of food products, clothes, cosmetics....There are other stores inside, including cafe or pharmacy. If you are on holidays and you need many different things, definately choose Geant Casino. There you'll always find all what you need!

IT system cannot give bon d'achats on Casino Max. I wasted one hour last night fighting to get a bon d'achat of €120 due on a wine promotion. I first used Casino Max which gave no credit and then was advised that they could refund my bank, then I could go through a normal check out and get the Bon D'achat. I did this but still got no voucher. I received no apologies at any time. The supervisor at the help desk was most unhelpful. I have used this store for over thirty years. Their produce is good but IT and some staff are useless!

Went there for a quick food shop. Overall the shopping is good, some good deals on certains products. Fresh bakery ( cakes , bread ..) Fruit and vegetables are good , nice choice , just disappointed that they aren't promoting local products and farmers. Most is imported.. In the high season ( July/August ) , careful , lots of tourists and they are all for their own. Most are rude , cut you off,Bump into you .. Try and go early in the morning for the opening. The experience is much more pleasant.

This whole location is getting a complete makeover so fingers crossed it will look great when finished. The food mall is pretty good some great vegetables and fruits in it, but the whole place looks a little wornout. Looking forward to the new model.

I visited this store and met the most wonderful young lady. I think (if my memory serves me well) her name was Meghan. I bought a cushion and some hair pins and was supposed to return for a bit more shopping. I had every intention of returning, but it became very difficult to do in the end. I really regret not being able to go back. I just want to say that I absolutely love this shop and its beautiful curation. As a curator myself, I can see that great thought, love and attention go into the selection for this store. Maybe I will get lucky and they will go online one day! Anyway, I look forward to the day I can return to your beautiful store. It really is one-of-a-kind. As for Meghan, thank you for your kindness and the conversation. I wish you all the best for the future and hope to maybe see you again one day! You are also one-of-a-kind. Bonne journee, Aja x

Always enjoyed looking into this shop through the windows and decided to pop in after seeing something through the window, and came out with far too much stuff! Collection of lovely clothes - the selection seems randomly curated but lots of great stuff. And then you go through the shop and out to the back to this room of things stacked high up on shelves that you had no idea the shop was selling!

I would like to sincerely thank Mirjana and the entire Louis Vuitton Saint-Tropez team for making our visit truly unforgettable. From the very first moment we entered the boutique, Mirjana welcomed us with genuine kindness, professionalism, and exceptional attention to every detail. She made it possible for me to fulfill a wish I had for a long time by refilling my fragrance, and she also helped me stamp my Louis Vuitton Passport Suitcase with the beautiful Saint-Tropez seal, making this trip even more special. What impressed me the most was that she didn’t simply sell products—she created a true Louis Vuitton experience. She made us feel welcomed, cared for, and valued, reminding us that luxury is not only about what you buy, but about how you are made to feel. Thank you, Mirjana, for your outstanding service and for creating a memory we will always cherish. I truly hope our paths cross again in the future. Until next time!

Personally, had an absolutely outstanding experience at the Louis Vuitton store in Saint-Tropez, thanks to the incredible personal sales advisor, Dorothy. She was so sympathetic, kind, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Dorothy truly made me feel special, and her dedication to excellent service is remarkable. I believe she is a huge asset to this store, and I can’t wait to visit again—thank you, Dorothy, for such a wonderful time! Moé

As a regular Louis Vuitton customer, I was extremely disappointed by the level of service I received during my recent visit. I came into the boutique after spotting a bag on someone in the street and wanted help identifying the exact model. When I approached the first sales associate, I was simply told, “There are other advisors at the entrance.” This was a surprising response for a luxury boutique. Am I shopping at Louis Vuitton or at a high-street retailer? I then went to the entrance area, where several sales associates were chatting amongst themselves without acknowledging customers or even offering a simple greeting. I eventually approached another advisor and explained that I was looking for a specific bag in a particular canvas. Rather than taking the time to understand my requirements or assist with my search, she immediately told me they did not have it and that it had perhaps been “sold yesterday.” No attempt was made to check stock, suggest alternatives, locate the item at another boutique, or offer any kind of solution. What was even more surprising was that when I asked for the name of the model and the canvas used, she was unable to tell me. For a Louis Vuitton sales advisor, not being able to identify one of the House’s signature canvases is quite remarkable. I mentioned that I would visit the Champs-Élysées store instead, but even then there was no effort to help further. As someone who has shopped with Louis Vuitton for many years and is accustomed to a much higher standard of service, I left feeling genuinely disappointed. Luxury is not only about the products—it is also about the customer experience. Unfortunately, on this occasion, neither the welcome nor the service reflected the standards I expect from Louis Vuitton.
sharlene diaz★☆☆☆☆
The staff at this location were not as helpful or welcoming as expected. During my visit, I purchased a jewelry item; however, the associate assisting me appeared rushed and displayed a dismissive attitude while presenting the pieces. I also requested a Louis Vuitton passport stamp. I was informed that I would need to wait two days to receive it, despite only being in town for the day and knowing the process typically takes only a few minutes. In my experience, other Louis Vuitton locations are able to complete the stamping the same day with a qualifying purchase. Unfortunately, my request was not accommodated, and I felt the interaction lacked attentiveness and customer service.
Tanah Rivalland★☆☆☆☆
Im very disappointed in your st tropez store. I recently bought a passport holder and a wallet from your monoco store. I bought the passport holder especially to start collecting stamps. Besides your extremely rude and unhelpful staff. The also refused to stamp my passport saying that they only have 1 person who does it and they need a week to do it. I am here for 2 days.. surely that should be enough time. This is a very expensive brand, a great idea but a very disappointing outcome. Please advise the way forward as this is taking away all the excitement of collecting my stamps. Most unpleasant service yet.

What a warm welcome! The manager has tremendous charisma, he's very approachable, and offers excellent advice (he has impeccable taste!). His assistant is also charming. It's a miracle, given how deserted this street is in winter and how quiet Saint-Tropez is in hibernation! The shop is spotless and very well laid out. Thank you to the team! I'll be back!

Today I visited the Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez asking to speak personally with the hotel manager, Brice Delclos, of course, he was unavailable, and instead I had the displeasure of speaking with Etienne, the Assistant Manager. I went there because of something that happened one year ago that my wife and I have never forgotten and believe necessary to share publicly. Last year at this time, we had prepaid reservations to stay at the Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez. Just before our trip, our adult son suffered a devastating fall and traumatic brain injury. He spent 30 days in a trauma ICU on a ventilator, followed by three months in the hospital. A year later, he is still recovering. In those first chaotic days of our family tragedy, we cancelled our reservations. We missed the hotel’s cancellation deadline by approximately **3–4 hours**. Despite the extraordinary circumstances, the Hotel de Paris Saint Tropez refused to refund our prepaid stay. More disappointing, they would not even extend a credit allowing us to return and use the money for a future stay the following year. We weren’t asking for special treatment because our plans changed or because we simply decided not to travel. **Our son was fighting for his life in a trauma ICU.** Other luxury hotels we had booked for the same trip responded very differently. The unrelated Hotel de Paris honored our circumstances with a full credit, and Hotel du Cap graciously provided us with a future credit. **They understood that hospitality is about more than rooms and cancellation policies. They showed compassion. They had heart.** The Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez did not. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies. But truly great hospitality is demonstrated by how management responds when life presents a guest with an unimaginable tragedy. Missing a cancellation deadline by three or four hours while your child is critically injured should have warranted some compassion, even if that compassion was simply allowing the prepaid amount to be used toward a future stay. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend the Hotel de Paris Saint-Tropez. If management cannot find compassion for a special guest facing a genuine family tragedy, then they do not deserve my business, or the business of my friends and neighbors. This trip, we chose to stay at the wonderful Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez in a beautiful suite. The difference could not have been greater. From beginning to end, we felt welcomed, cared for and **celebrated every moment**. There is an important lesson in that: **GO WHERE YOU ARE CELEBRATED, NOT TOLERATED!!!***

I wholeheartedly recommend this store and will definitely be back!

We were here on a Saturday, which is the day for the weekly market. Together with Tuesday. The market was very nice with lots of different products. But it was very busy. If you go, come early or by boot or bike. The road into Saint Tropez is very busy in the morning.

This was during the outdoor market in St Tropez. Amazing to see so many vendors, so we'll organized and an incredibly wide selection of offerings. Great place to shop and barter. Whether you need an outfit, shoes, jewelry, spices or food - you can find it here. Get there early when it starts on Tuesday to avoid the large number of people that can be overwhelming at times. The most amazing thing to see is how quickly all of the vendors break down all of the displays, coolers, cooking facilities and clothing. Before you know it, the park is pristine as if nothing ever happened. Definitely worth the time!

Marina and Charlotte were an absolute dream to meet! They were so patient, professional and just a pleasure to speak with - I was never rushed and the attention was authentic. I can’t recommend them enough. I had a genuine and memorable experience at the boutique - not something you find in all Hermes boutiques around the world. Bravo and thank you!

Very good clients since more than 15 years at Hermes. Went in to ask for the ‚châles‘ and we were treated by an arrogant sales woman like we’ve never ever been to the store and like we didn’t know what we were talking about. She informed us that the products we were asking for were expensive (like we did not know). All while we were wearing Hermes bags, shoes and jewelry during our visit. A truly shocking experience. It does not matter how clients look or what they are wearing, they should all be treated equally: attentive and friendly. One should know at least that when working for a luxury brand. Never ever visiting this store again and thinking twice about buying from Hermes in the future.

We have been coming to this market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings for years and it remains one of the rituals we look forward to most when we arrive at our place near Saint-Tropez. Local producers, seasonal vegetables, good cheese, excellent olives. There is also a flower section that is worth a look if you are furnishing a house for the week. It gets busy by ten in the morning so arriving early makes a real difference. The café terraces around the square are a good way to finish the morning.

I went to the store in September because my partner gave me a fringed leather bag from their shop. However, it's deteriorating rapidly despite being worn very little. Since it's still under warranty, their advice was to apply a moisturizing lotion or exchange it with customer service. I was quite disappointed because customer service offered to replace the handles, but we're not sure if it's a second-hand bag and that it would be the entire product. In the end, customer service simply told me to apply a moisturizing lotion and that it's due to daily wear and tear, even though it's only been worn 6 or 7 times a year, always stored in its original dust bag, and I haven't used it since this summer to limit the bag's deterioration. For a "high-end" designer bag costing €255, the quality of the product and the customer service are unacceptable.

Tips for Shopping in Saint-Tropez

To make the most of your retail experience in this glamorous yet traditional village, a little local knowledge goes a long way. The rhythm of the town, the expectations of the boutiques, and the seasonal shifts can all impact your success. By planning your approach, you can navigate the cobblestones like a seasoned regular rather than a first-time visitor.

Time your visit strategically. The best shopping hours are typically between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and then again from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Many independent boutiques close for a long, leisurely French lunch, so arriving at 2:00 PM might leave you staring at a locked door. During July and August, the village is extremely crowded; aim to shop early in the morning for a calmer, more personalized service.

Dress the part, but stay comfortable. While Saint-Tropez is glamorous, the streets are made of uneven cobblestones and polished stone. Leave the stilettos at home and opt for elegant yet flat footwear. Dressing neatly will often result in warmer, more attentive service in high-end boutiques, but you do not need to be overdressed to browse confidently.

Don’t be afraid to engage with the shopkeepers. Unlike large department stores, many of the best shops in Saint-Tropez are run by owners who are deeply passionate about their products. Asking about the origin of a fabric, the history of a perfume, or the process behind a ceramic glaze often unlocks a richer experience. Politeness goes a long way; always greet staff with a "Bonjour" upon entering.

Look beyond the port for better value. The boutiques directly facing the yachts on the Quai Jean Jaurès pay the highest rents, which is often reflected in their pricing. For the same brands or even more unique, locally made goods, venture a few streets back toward the Place des Lices or the Rue Gambetta. You will often find better prices and a more relaxed atmosphere just 100 meters from the water.

Verify authenticity and VAT details. If you are purchasing high-ticket items, ensure you are buying from an authorized retailer and ask for the necessary paperwork. Non-EU residents can often benefit from VAT (Value Added Tax) refunds on purchases over a certain amount. Keep your passport handy or a photo of it, and ask the boutique if they offer "détaxe" services before you pay.
