Standing at the center of the Étoile, the Arc de Triomphe is more than just a monument; it is the pulsating heart of Parisian grandeur. Commissioned by Napoleon and completed in 1836, this iconic arch anchors twelve majestic avenues, radiating outward like a star across the city. Staying nearby places you at the crossroads of history, luxury shopping, and unrivaled urban energy.
Choosing a hotel in this prestigious district is about more than just a bed; it is about immersion. You are steps away from the Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, and the serene greenery of the Bois de Boulogne. Whether you are here for a romantic getaway, a business trip, or a family vacation, the neighborhood offers a microcosm of everything Paris has to offer.
However, the area surrounding the Arc is vast, encompassing the 8th, 16th, and 17th arrondissements. The character of the streets changes drastically within a five-minute walk. You might find yourself in the bustling commercial heart of the Champs-Élysées or the quiet, residential elegance of the Victor Hugo district.
This guide is designed to help you navigate the luxury and logistical options available. We have curated a list of the twelve best hotels that offer not only proximity but also distinct value. From opulent Palaces to chic boutique hideaways, there is a perfect match for every traveler’s taste and budget.
We have prioritized properties that demonstrate exceptional service, authentic Parisian style, and high guest satisfaction. We understand that location is paramount, so every hotel listed here keeps you within a comfortable walking distance of the monument. You will spend less time on the Metro and more time soaking in the atmosphere.
Before we dive into the specific selections, it is worth noting that this area commands a premium price. However, the convenience of stepping out of your lobby and immediately seeing the floodlit arch at night is an experience that justifies the investment for most visitors.
Here are the best places to stay for an unforgettable visit to the Arc de Triomphe.

Overall we had a good stay at this hotel. Service is friendly. The room is clean & comfortable. The air conditioning is good.
The hotel is well located, close to arc de triomphe. We could walk there, & to shops around the hotel, with no problems.
Perhaps the hotel could consider having a shower screen or curtain in the bathroom? Tried to be careful, but had to wipe the floor after every shower to ensure the floor wasn't wet, as water had splashed on the floor.

Overall, I had a good experience at this hotel. The hotel was clean, in a great location close to attractions and public transportation, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.
The main downside was the size of the room. The room was very small, which made it uncomfortable to move around, especially with luggage.
Despite the limited space, I appreciated the cleanliness, convenient location, friendly staff, and the feeling of safety during my stay.

Bad smells coming from the bathroom and the bed. The service is good and the location is good, but in my opinion the hotel should have fewer than 3 stars. It’s fine for a short stay. The cost is too high for this kind of hotel

We stayed at the Riviera Elysées Hotel for 2 nights during our trip to Paris. The location is excellent — only about 500 meters from the Arc de Triomphe, which makes it perfect for sightseeing and exploring the city.
The rooms are quite small, but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The most important thing for us was that the hotel was very quiet at night, which allowed us to rest well after long days of walking and excursions.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing because there were no fruits or muesli, only bread and croissants. However, the coffee was very tasty and plentiful, which was a great start to the morning.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a tourist visit to Paris. The location is simply fantastic!

On this occasion I will let the photos do the work. I've included a shot of the room, the TV remote, the shower with mouldy ceiling and the mould above the window.
I couldn't capture on camera the damp bed sheets upon getting into them, the cold room, the annoying clicking noise made by the heating/Aircon unit or the smell of the drains emanating from the direction of the bathroom.
This is not what I would expect from a room that €50 per night. I paid €319.
It is close to the Arc de Triomphe though.

stayed here for the BTS concert - the hotel is really nice and i would definitely stay here again! the staff were very friendly, breakfast is normal cold buffet (very tasty pastries) and the room is nice too. there is no kettle though and the walls are a bit thin, the hair dryer is some kind of old school one but these are minor things, overall the hotel was great! the location is also perfect - very safe area, very beautiful and metro is like 2 steps away. there are also many cafes and restaurants around, really lovely area for a hotel.

Had a lovely 2-night stay here in June. Welcoming staff, fantastic location near Arc de Triomphe and with a Metro station right outside. Didn't have breakfast here but can recommend the boulangeries within a minutes walk of the hotel for coffee and pastries. Windows did a good job of keeping outside noise out. Shower pressure was excellent. Merci beaucoup!

We had the best stay here. The location is so perfect being just a few minutes walk from the Arc De Triomph, convenience stores, subway and Champs-Élysées. Our room was so nice and spacious - so many extras were included such as shower caps, cotton buds, soap etc which was very appreciated. Amazing AC. We had room 703 and we were so happy with it. Such a cute Parisian view out our window as we were on the top floor in the roof. Our bathroom had a large window too which was a huge bonus! Amazing shower w/ integrated bath and great pressure. Reception staff were lovely and very accommodating of us unfortunately not speaking French. The bed was ok and the pillows were very flat, however I asked reception for an extra pillow and they were very accommodating. I will say the breakfast is very basic and the staff come across as quite rude, however I do believe the language barrier caused this. Breakfast was included in our package, however I don’t recommend paying the €13 + for it if it wasn’t already included as it’s very basic and you have to pay extra for hot food! Although they do have cold meats (chicken & ham) and I made a sandwich with it for my breakfast. Overall such a great stay and we would definitely stay again! We paid less than $500 AUD for 3 nights in August with breakfast and it absolutely exceeded our expectations!

Amazing hotel near the Arch Triumph.
The staff was also amazing during my stay.
The only downside is the room was a bit old but for the price we paid I couldnt recommend other place than this in Paris.

Solid hotel in a good location for tourism. Hotel on a quiet side street. Rooms are clean and size is fine. I had a nice window view looking out over the street. Elevator is very nice for a small hotel in Paris. Receptionists were pleasant and available 24 hours a day. Price is good for the value.
Only thing i didn’t like was that you leave the key with the receptionist when you come and go. Probably because they are too cheap to change to card key locks and customers kept losing the traditional keys. But emphasizes to the guest that you are being watched/tracked.

Do not stay here!!! This hotel is maybe one step up from a hostel—and even that feels generous. They literally rent rooms by the afternoon. Need I say more? I have never in my life checked into a hotel and immediately felt as unsafe and uncomfortable as I did here.
Thankfully, we never even unpacked. We took one look around and knew there was absolutely no way we were staying. Gross. No thank you.
We were incredibly lucky to find the last available room at the Sax that night, and the difference was immediate. From the second we got out of the car, we were greeted with the warmest welcome, upgraded, and personally walked to our room while they showed us how everything worked. It was night and day.
I honestly don’t have anything positive to say about the Hidden Hotel, and I never write reviews like this, but I hope this saves someone else the headache of scrambling to find another hotel at midnight.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere!

This was my third stay at Hidden Hotel Paris, and once again, I had a wonderful experience.
I stayed for two nights, and from the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and comfortable. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive, and they always went the extra mile to accommodate any special requests.
Their warm and personal hospitality is what makes this hotel feel like a true home away from home. The atmosphere is peaceful, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is very convenient.
A big thank you to the entire Hidden Hotel team for making my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back again.

Had the best stay at this hotel. The welcome we had after a long travel day was much needed and in fact the service and attention to detail from all staff members was superb. Comfortable rooms and a super comfortable bed (and I'm extremely picky about my bed!!) Location was only a short 5 minute stroll to the arch de triumph. We felt comfortable as a family, walking around the streets after dark and explored many of the local cafes and bakeries. Would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hidden Hotel is an amazing boutique gem in a fantastic, safe, and central location right by the Arc de Triomphe. It’s perfectly situated for getting anywhere in Paris.
We did experience an issue with our AC on the first night, but the way the team handled it was absolutely world-class. Guillaume at the front office and Ijlal, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We were moved and upgraded to a beautiful new room with AC and everything included.
Incredible service that turned a minor hiccup into an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend this hotel, and a huge thank you to Ijlal and Guillaume!
anais cresp★★☆☆☆
Very disappointed with my three-night stay. This is far from a boutique hotel experience. It feels more like an upgraded hostel.
Everything is tiny, the room finishes are very average, and services are almost non-existent: no gym, no restaurant, impossible to have a glass of wine at 8pm as the bar is already closed, and poor-quality self-service coffee. At night, there was also a loud mechanical noise resonating through the walls.
The hotel is well located and the bed is comfortable. It could suit a student looking for somewhere to spend a night in Paris, but definitely not for a business stay.
I was also spoken to in a very unpleasant and confrontational manner by a member of staff. The manager was very kind and apologised, which I appreciated, but this remains completely unacceptable.
For my next business trip to Paris, I will definitely stay elsewhere.

Excellent hotel. I wouldn't normally choose to stay in this area of Paris but I was here for work and the location was very convenient. And if you want to be right by Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee then its extremely well located! Boutique feel, lovely room, really nicely decorated. Superb staff. Breakfast a touch pricy unless you fill up, but very fresh and tasty. I'll definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again the next time I need to be in the area.

Hotel was amazing, location is near metro and buses. Rooms are small but cozy. Welcoming room and breakfast area looks great!
Staff was great, especially Jaman and cute lady in the breakfast area…but the guy who was working on 23.05.2025 night shift was not so great. He was rude, impolite and judging, but his espresso was more important than welcoming the guests 😉
Hamoon Zamani★★★★☆
The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and the beautiful Champs-Élysées. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and tastefully decorated with artistic touches.
The staff are very friendly, and most of them speak English (though it’s always appreciated if you start the conversation with a bit of French—respect their language and culture!). My favorite staff members were David and Nader.
They also have a spa that you can book and use for free, which was incredibly relaxing after walking several kilometers every day in lovely, beautiful Paris.
A few minor downsides: the room was a bit small, and breakfast isn’t included (it’s around €20), though there’s a coffee machine in the room with plenty of coffee pods, which was a nice touch.

Our experience at Hôtel Arc de Triomphe Etoile was truly wonderful. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the location and the time of year. The hotel is just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe, with two different metro stations and plenty of transportation options nearby, making it incredibly easy to explore Paris.
The staff were exceptional—warm, professional, and always ready to help. They kindly held our luggage after check-out at no extra cost, which made our last day in the city so much more convenient.
The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. For couples, it’s a perfect choice: central yet quiet, welcoming, and reasonably priced.
We wholeheartedly recommend Hôtel Arc de Triomphe Etoile to anyone visiting Paris. It’s a rare combination of location, service, and value that makes it stand out among hotels in this area. We would happily stay here again on our next trip.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The reception staff were cold and unhelpful, management was nowhere to be found when things went wrong, and the room let’s just say I’ve stayed in cleaner hostels. Customer service? Nonexistent. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even for a quick layover. Stay literally anywhere else.
Dear to whom it may concern,
Thank you for your response.
However, I must firmly and unequivocally clarify that the statements outlined in your message do not reflect the reality of our experience during our stay.
Contrary to your assertion, the reception desk was not consistently staffed by trained personnel. On several occasions, guests myself included were assisted by individuals who appeared to be neither employees nor professionally trained, but acquaintances or unofficial representatives. This practice is not only unprofessional but compromises the standards expected of a hotel carrying your name.
With regard to your claim about a "strict payment protocol," I regret to inform you that no such procedure was observed. The handling of payment was disorganized, lacking transparency, and led to a double charge on our account for which no proper explanation or rectification has been provided. As for the hygiene protocol mentioned, the state of the facilities directly contradicts any notion of rigorous standards. I would suggest a thorough internal review before making such claims publicly.
Further, your statement that a discussion with management was conducted is factually incorrect. No such meeting took place, nor was any attempt made to offer appropriate compensation for the considerable inconveniences we encountered.
The only merit to highlight is your location, which admittedly is convenient. However, location alone does not compensate for the serious deficiencies in service, hospitality, and integrity that we experienced.
I urge you to reflect earnestly on this feedback and refrain from issuing misleading replies that contradict the documented and witnessed reality. Glossing over guest grievances with templated statements does no service to your reputation
Steven Lu★☆☆☆☆
If you are looking for a hotel that has mastered the art of deception this is it. The elevator fits 1.5 people, good lucky if you are traveling with others and have extra luggage. You need to leave the physical key at the desk when you leave the hotel (beware what you leave in the room). The rooms are no larger than closets. The door handle for my room (104) actually came off and i was moved to room (103) which is behind not one but two sets of doors for extra inconvenience. Try squeezing your luggage past a useless door to open another door with a metal key and not a key card. The shower was in the room almost touching the bed. Great fun for two friends, at least the toilet is behind a door.

We stayed here for 1 night. Though the room had a little extra space due to the tilting roof, the bed was extremely bad. It was very flimsy, and titled towards one side, even though we are not obese or bulky. Otherwise, hotel has good location and walkable metro station.

We had a memorable stay this summer at the Peninsula. The staff are very kind and welcoming. They were very helpful and Fadi the director of guest relations, Rachid from the front disk, the staff at the Bar Jail, Adam, Sami and Nevien were so helpful and they made our stay comfortable and Memorable. I stayed at the hotel on my own during my birthday, and the entire experience was beautiful, warm, and exceptionally thoughtful. I would especially like to recognise Rachid Elouakhoum, who went above and beyond to make my birthday feel completely different, unique, and truly memorable.
The hotel itself is stunning and elegant, and the service throughout my stay was exceptional, but Rachid was the person who made the experience truly unforgettable. He is an outstanding representative of The Peninsula’s hospitality.
Thank you, Rachid, and thank you to the entire Peninsula Paris team for such a meaningful and beautiful stay. I will always remember it and would be delighted to return.

Great location, especially if you want to stay close to the Champs-Élysées. The service was good, the staff were helpful, and the breakfast was enjoyable.
However, the hotel feels dated and would benefit from a renovation, especially the hallways and guest rooms. There was no distinctive hotel scent, and some areas had noticeable odors. Compared to The Peninsula London, the difference in room quality, maintenance, cleanliness, and overall modern feel is significant. A good hotel for the location, but the rooms and corridors need updating.

Just got back from an amazing stay at The Peninsula Paris with my family, and I have to say, we loved every minute of it!
Cleanliness: The place was spotless! You could really tell they care about keeping everything super clean, which was awesome since we had the kids with us.
Location: The location is perfect! We could easily stroll around and check out all the famous spots in Paris. It made exploring the city a breeze.
Food:The food was fantastic! We tried most of the menu in the Lobby and In-room Dining, and every meal was delicious. There were so many options, even for the picky eaters in our group!
Family-Friendly: They really know how to cater to families. The staff was super friendly and made sure our kids had a great time too. It felt like they went the extra mile for us.
Overall, our stay at The Peninsula Paris was just incredible. I can’t wait to go back next time we’re in Paris—this hotel will definitely be our top choice!

I do not really know where to start as the Peninsula Paris is one of the few places in Paris where Palace service is combined with an elegant and friendly service. Their product is one of the finest you can find in the capital and so is their team. After a most restful night in one of their luxury rooms, we did really enjoy the breakfast in the main dining room at the lobby level and the perfect service from Guillaume and his colleagues. We shall be back for sure to appreciate more of their exceptional service since our time there was very limited. I'd recommend the Spa mood when you take a bath in your own room and the French toast for breakfast.

Great location, but the room was very small with an AC that hardly blows. We spend two out of three nights of torture. There is only one fan in the entire hotel. Ice was a very scared commodity. The hotel could of done a better job finding a solution earlier.

The location is very good and convenient for getting around. Breakfast options were minimal, and the overall service was inconsistent. Housekeeping did not clean the room or replace towels even when following the instructions on their signs saying where to place towels for replacement — you have to ask specifically at the desk. When we asked just for clean towels (not even full room service), the request was still denied because we “didn’t ask in the morning,” which was frustrating.
Front desk staff was mixed; some were friendly, others not so much. You’re also required to hand over your room key every time you leave, which adds to an overall strange vibe. Not the most comfortable stay.

we LOVED this hotel!! It was so clean and cute, and had so much space compared to other places that we stayed! It was so easy to check in/out and store our bags which we needed to do. The staff was super nice and treated us soooo very well! Absolutely would recommend to anyone!

Great hotel, we stayed during a 40°+ heatwave and the air conditioning in our room + ice water fountain in reception were absolute lifesavers. 5 stads for this alone!
The location is good, right by Charles de
Gualle-Etoile which serves as an interchange between numerous metro lines and RER. Restaurants and bakeries in this area are expensive, even for Paris.
Our room was small but sufficient, with a comfy bed. Rooms have keycard access, so can come and easily. The lift is slow but reliable.
Only problem was that the tap water in our room tasted off/ stagnant, (maybe served by a water tank?) But we just filled up at the fountain downstairs.

We stayed in Paris for 5 days and, by far, this was the hotel with the worst cost-benefit ratio. We paid twice as much for a much smaller room compared to the ones we experienced in other tourist cities across Europe. The room did not have a minibar and there was no space to leave our luggage because it was so small. There was not even a place to put bathroom accessories inside the shower (we had to leave them on the floor), and water leaked out during every shower, leaving the bathroom mat soaked each time. We had to keep one of the face towels on the floor at all times to absorb the leaking water.
However, the hotel staff was always very attentive. The bed was comfortable and the shower had excellent water temperature and a good localization.
Carissa Sklepowich★☆☆☆☆
Definitely not the 4star they claim. Breakfast is not worth the money, beds are old, too soft and can feel springs thru them. The bathroom is a broom closet. Never any towels by the pool - have to ASK for everything when visibly there is staff sitting around. Super disappointed for the money spent on a "superior" room.
Tasos Constantinou★☆☆☆☆
I recently booked a Junior Suite for four people directly through the hotel website. Unfortunately, the room was entirely too small for this capacity. Once the sofa bed was opened, there was virtually no floor space left, and the path to the bathroom was completely obstructed. To reach the bathroom, we were forced to either squeeze against the wall or climb over the bed.
When I raised this issue with staff, I was told no larger rooms were available. I am disappointed that the website lacks specific room dimensions, as I never would have booked this for a family of four had the true size been clear. If you are a group larger than two, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Please see my photos for a clear view of the assault course getting to the bathroom.

The hotel price is reasonable and the location is acceptable, but the overall experience was very disappointing. There is constant noise from people on the street both day and night, making it impossible to rest. The bathroom is extremely small, and water leaks everywhere. The service is poor, and the staff were not helpful. The only respectful and professional person at the hotel was an Arabic staff member, I believe of Moroccan nationality.

I stayed at ELSA Hôtel Paris with reasonable expectations, but the overall experience was average rather than memorable.
The location is acceptable and works if you plan to explore Paris, although I would not describe it as one of the hotel’s strongest advantages. The building itself feels dated from the moment you arrive. The entrance gives an older first impression, and with only one small elevator, moving around the hotel can be inconvenient, especially during busy hours.
My biggest concern was cleanliness. Nothing was seriously wrong, but there were several small details that made the room feel less well maintained than I expected. Individually they may seem minor, yet together they affected the overall comfort of the stay.
This is not a bad hotel, but I believe there are better options in Paris at a similar price point. For me, the experience did not justify choosing it again.

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at ELSA. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed during the recent heatwave and the airconditioning was a life-saver. Such an easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe, metro, and lots of great restaurants and bakeries. Highly recommend!

Hotel ELSA is a charming boutique hotel in a beautifully updated older building. The rooms and elevator are small, but that’s part of the classic Paris experience. The location is outstanding — just steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Charles de Gaulle–Étoile Metro. Line 1 from Étoile takes you straight to the Louvre and into the Marais without ever going above ground.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and speaks excellent English (far better than my high‑school French). Coffee is available anytime from the lobby machine, and the minibar was free on the first night, which was a nice touch. There’s a restaurant next door and a great café right across the street.
Overall, a wonderful hotel in a perfect location for exploring Paris. I’d happily stay here again.

Stayed for 6 nights. I have to give 5 stars for all the hotel staff there. Everyone was kind and helpful. The bed is comfortable. However, the room is small and the faucet in showroom was difficult to adjust ( either too hot or too cold), the wall is paper thin so you can hear noise. And the garbage car might wake you up before sunrise.
Overall it’s a nice experience there.

I stayed at Hotel Archétype Etoile for three days. It is located close to the Arc de Triomphe, and metro station Argentine. It is in an area with lots of good restaurants & cafes and it felt very safe.
The personnel was friendly and welcoming, and ready to assist you. It is wonderful to be greeted by a smile at the front desk.
The room was very clean and had good amenities. I had a lovely room on the third floor and it was very quiet. WiFi was excellent throughout the building.
Breakfast includes a good assortment of foods and drinks. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. I found the breakfast a bit expensive, but considering costs nowadays, probably fitting.
Overall, I recommend this lovely hotel, and I would return for sure when in Paris.

We stayed for three nights and returning back with a great after taste. The hotel is located at a top central location, just 5 minutes by foot to Arc de Triomph. Also 1 minute to Argentine metro station which connects you to literally everywhere. The rooms are clean and tidy where you can find almost everything. Clean towels everyday, hairdryer, etc. We purchased breakfast prior to our arrival. I strongly recommend to taste hotel breakfast as it’s really delicious. Staff is very friendly and polite. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Archetype Etoile hotel in early June, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! The experience was truly remarkable, primarily due to the outstanding staff and excellent amenities.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. Ghizlane was incredibly warm and accommodating from the moment I arrived. Her welcoming demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond made me feel right at home.
Similarly, Jiz (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly) demonstrated outstanding hospitality. Both staff members were kind enough to allow me to check in early upon arrival and even stored my luggage after check-out while I attended a conference. This level of flexibility and consideration is rare and truly appreciated.
The rooms at Archetype Etole were recently updated and immaculately clean. The air conditioning was a blessing, especially during my June stay. Every detail in the room seemed thoughtfully arranged for maximum comfort and convenience.
The lobby area was a delightful space to relax, offering refreshments throughout the day, a charming small bar, and high-quality espresso. These thoughtful touches made returning to the hotel after a long day a genuine pleasure.
I cannot recommend Archetype Etole highly enough. The combination of updated facilities, cleanliness, and most importantly, the exceptional hospitality demonstrated by Ghizlane and Jiz, made this stay truly memorable. If you're looking for a hotel that offers both comfort and personalized service, Archetype Etole should be at the top of your list!

Two Bedroom Unit: my rating of two stars is solely for the two bedroom unit that I stayed in for two nights. Basically it looks to be a studio apartment that they shoehorned in a small bedroom. Voilà it became a two bedroom. The bedroom is tiny and the curtains don’t cover the windows so light from the other room invaded the tiny room. Being from America, I don’t know if it’s usual for French bedrooms to have windows looking in on another bedroom. Even though it was April and the weather was low 50s at night the bedroom became hot when the door was closed. My recommendation is to not rent a two bedroom unit in this place. The location of the place is fantastic and safe. The building has a small elevator but it beats taking the stairs with luggage. Like others have stated expect the bathroom floor to get soaked when taking a shower as the small drain doesn’t get rid of water fast enough. I would stay here again but only in a one bedroom unit.

Location cannot be beaten. 5 minutes from the Champs Elysses and Metro. Incredibly easy to access the apartment via keypad. The company was constantly in contact via email. Apartment very well equipped and warm. Loved it.

My sister and I stayed there for two nights. The location was definitely the best aspect of our stay, and I was aware from previous reviews that the rooms are quite small. However, we were disappointed by the cleanliness of our room. It felt like the floor hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the bathroom appeared to have been wiped down quickly, as there were stains everywhere. Additionally, the shower sink was blocked, and the water drained extremely slowly. Overall, the cleanliness could definitely use some improvement.

A very bad experience with this hotel, no air conditioning nor windows. They put a fan in the room that made my eyes itch, and if you wish to keep the fan on then the light will be on, if you want to switch the light off at night to sleep, the fan will be switched off as well. Very dirty bedsheets. I asked for my checkout to be 11:30 instead of 11:00 due to my driver will arrive this time, they rejected and said “you can wait in any nearby coffee shops” . Never staying there again and not recommending it to anyone.

The hotel cancelled my long-standing booking, without notice, a week before I was due to arrive. I was left with very little time to find a hotel in Paris during its peak tourism season and the finishing stage of the Tour de France. Needless to say, the prices were substantially higher for similar or even lesser accommodation.
Essential Tips for Choosing Your Hotel Near the Arc de Triomphe
Selecting the right hotel in this dynamic area requires more than just looking at a map. The density of traffic, the layout of the avenues, and the varying "vibe" from street to street can significantly impact your stay. To ensure you book a room that matches your expectations, we have compiled a few key strategies to keep in mind during your search.
Understand the Metro Access
While you might plan to walk everywhere, the Paris Metro is essential for reaching the Louvre or Montmartre. Hotels located near the Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station (serving Lines 1, 2, and 6) or the Argentine station (Line 1) offer the fastest connections to the rest of the city.
Consider the Noise Levels
The Arc de Triomphe is surrounded by one of the busiest roundabouts in the world. If you are a light sleeper, avoid rooms facing the Place de l’Étoile or the main arteries like Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Opt for hotels on side streets or request a courtyard-facing room.
Look Beyond the Champs-Élysées
While staying directly on the Champs-Élysées is glamorous, it is often crowded and touristy. Walking just two blocks north to the Rue de Ponthieu or south to the Avenue Kléber often provides a quieter, more authentic neighborhood feel with better dining options for locals.
Check for Air Conditioning
Paris summers are getting warmer, and the heat can be trapped in the dense Haussmannian buildings. Ensure your hotel has modern climate control, as many historic buildings in the 8th and 16th arrondissements have been renovated to include it, but not all have.
Factor in the Walk to the Eiffel Tower
The Arc is closer to the Eiffel Tower than it looks on a map, but the walk is roughly 25 to 30 minutes. If you want to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night from your window, look for hotels on the south side of the Arc, specifically along Avenue Kléber or Avenue Marceau.
Staying near the Arc de Triomphe places you in a bubble of elegance that defines the Parisian dream. While the neighborhood is undeniably upscale, the emotional payoff of walking through these streets at dawn or after midnight is immense. You are not just booking a room; you are securing a front-row seat to the most beautiful avenue in the world.
Whether you choose a legendary palace hotel or a discreet boutique residence, the proximity to this symbol of French pride ensures a trip filled with convenience and wonder. Bon voyage!
