12 Best Hotels near Palais Garnier

The Palais Garnier is more than just an opera house; it is the beating, gilded heart of Haussmannian Paris. Staying in its shadow places you at the epicenter of luxury shopping, grand boulevards, and some of the finest dining in the French capital. Whether you are visiting for a performance or simply to admire the architecture, the 9th arrondissement and its neighboring districts offer a distinct flavor of Parisian sophistication that is hard to match elsewhere.

Choosing the right hotel here is essential to maximizing your trip. The area surrounding the Opera House is incredibly well-connected, offering direct access to the RER for airport transfers and multiple metro lines for sightseeing. However, the streets can be bustling with traffic and shoppers, making the quiet sanctuary of a well-chosen hotel all the more valuable at the end of a long day.

The accommodation options in this district are as varied as the opera performances themselves. You will find everything from opulent "Palace" hotels that have hosted royalty to intimate boutique hideaways tucked away on quiet side streets. The common thread among the best options is a commitment to service, allowing you to focus on the magic of the city rather than logistics.

For the traveler seeking retail therapy, staying near the Palais Garnier is a strategic masterstroke. The legendary department stores, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, are merely a short stroll away. This proximity allows for easy drop-offs of shopping bags during the day, a luxury that turns a tiring excursion into a leisurely experience.

History enthusiasts will find themselves immersed in the Belle Époque. Many hotels in this district occupy historic Haussmann buildings, featuring original moldings, marble fireplaces, and balconies overlooking the iconic zinc rooftops. Waking up in such an environment offers an authentic Parisian experience that modern, generic hotels simply cannot replicate.

However, navigating the sheer volume of choices can be overwhelming. To help you cut through the noise, we have curated a list focusing on location, guest satisfaction, and distinct character. Each selection below has been evaluated for its ability to enhance your stay in this iconic cultural quarter.

Below is our selection of the best stays located just steps from the Palais Garnier, ensuring you are perfectly positioned to enjoy the opulence of the Opera district.

We had a very good stay at Monsieur Helder Hotel Opéra. Check-in was very easy & smooth. All staff was very helpful, pleasant & attentive throughout our stay- even helping with our thermostat and extra water in the night. Our room was sufficient, extremely clean, & quiet with a very comfortable bed. Very close to wonderful restaurants, shops and central to the many sights and sounds of Paris. It made our first day/night in Paris wonderful & restful. Would recommend to other travelers.

Very nice hotel but too expensive for what it provides. Especially given I like to travel budget friendly. Location is perfect and service js exceptional

We are disappointed with this hotel. We came here last year and actually enjoyed our stay, so we decided to come again. We booked the same room category but ended up in a much smaller room (??!), definitely not suitable for a vacation for 2 people. Staff told me that this room category has rooms of different sizes, so basically it depends on luck if you get on the wrong floor. For the same price you can get a very different service. Also it is way too expensive for what you get, but we decided to go along with it, expecting something at least slightly enjoyable. It was not, and what I'm complaining about is not indicated anywhere ! No pictures of the room when booking it. This time, our stay also felt different and we realized it was because we were not interacting with the same staff. Receptionist did a good job, but the one we were lucky to meet last year really made a difference. Last year, we felt cared for. It was always nice seeing the receptionnist, chatting a bit, and we knew he'd be happy to help. But the one we met this time was doing his job and that's it. Of course there is nothing wrong, but we realized that it was a big part of what made us enjoy our stay last year, as the receptionnist made us feel home. It definitely made a difference in the fact that we came back. This time, we just felt that we had a bed to sleep in, and we didn't feel attached to the hotel. There was nothing wrong with the receptionnist but we felt he didn't care as much and wouldn't feel enthusiastic interacting with us. That's not a big issue, just a bit sad. All in all we felt like strangers who were expected to give money and not be an annoyance. Service was okay for sure, but we still strongly feel that we got scamed. As returning customers we were excited to come back, and expected a totally different experience. We won't come back.

Ridiculously small rooms at a ridiculously inflated price. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful but the actual amenities of the hotel are ridiculous. One would have more space and privacy in a youth hostel than this €200 euro a night room. Painfully small and under equipped.
Isabel H. Park★★★★☆
The room is tiny but bearable given that you're in Paris. It's clean and compact(well-equipped). The receptionists are pretty kind especially the daytime staff. You might feel a bit overpriced depending on when you visit.

I had a wonderful first stay at this hotel and would happily return on my next visit to Paris. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within easy walking distance. As I was travelling solo for Fashion Week, it was incredibly convenient, and having my favourite café just across the street was an added bonus. One of the biggest highlights was the air conditioning. I visited during one of Paris' worst heatwaves, and the adjustable AC made a huge difference, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout my stay. Breakfast was included during my six-night stay. While the selection remained the same each morning, there was a good variety of items, so it was still a satisfying way to start the day, even though it became a little repetitive after several days. Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable stay, an unbeatable central location, and excellent air conditioning—something I especially appreciated during the summer heat. I would definitely stay here again.
Bipasha Barman★★★☆☆
The rooms are very tight and the breakfast was not good at all. The bread seemed to be stale and the cheese and meat tasted old. The location is pretty good because you are in walking distance of many restaurants and monuments. The people were quite helpful and friendly.

Great location, clean, and stylish hotel! I recommend the Volney Opéra to anyone looking for a quiet yet well-connected place in the heart of Paris. The Hotel Volney Opéra is just minutes from the Opéra Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, and the metro (Chaussée d’Antin – La Fayette or Opéra stations). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom were spotlessly clean, which is very important to me. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed here for three nights in Paris and had a very pleasant stay. The room was compact but had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent - very close to the Opera area, within walking distance of Galeries Lafayette, with plenty of restaurants and bakeries nearby. The nearest Metro station is only a few minutes away, making it easy to explore the city. Our room had a balcony, and enjoying the Parisian streetscape in the morning was one of the highlights of our stay. The only thing to note is that the elevator is very small, so it may be inconvenient if you’re traveling with lots of large luggage.

Clean hotel with big room and amazing view! We took one of the family rooms for 3 persons and was given coner room on last floor from which you have really beautiful view on Opera! Many thanks to people working in the hotel. Hotel itself is really close to all tourists destination and 3 steps away from metro.Room was big and clean and everyone friendly.

Great location! Next to Galeries Lafayette, walking distance to many tourist attractions and public transport links. Hotel is an old building but with modern facilities. The room was warm and clean, the beds/pillows were very comfortable. Staff were very polite and friendly. Would defo stay again!

The reception team was excellent. They were very welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with any questions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Their friendliness really made the stay more enjoyable .

Perfect central location and staff were very friendly and welcoming. But the room was tiny and very very basic for the price. The room was very hot but the road is loud so not much ventilation… walls are very thin as I could hear the persons phone alarm clock in the next room! And I was on 3rd floor and could feel the Metro (I know this isn’t unusual in Paris). I wouldn’t say it’s value for money but it was clean and pleasant.

Translation: The rooms without air conditioning were literally like an oven. A single fan isn’t enough to make any difference. The reception area is cool only in the morning during breakfast; afterward, the air conditioning is turned off and it becomes an oven as well. I also feel sorry for the staff who work there—it must be a nightmare. It was not a pleasant stay at all. If you want to leave your luggage after check-out, you’re charged €5 per bag. That’s outrageous. The central location was the only positive aspect.
Adina Serac★☆☆☆☆
The hotel it has barely 3 stars..rooms are very small, even if we got a superior one and no air conditioning. We had some fans in the rooms, but just mixing the hot air..there were like 27 degrees in the room. The staff it is impolite and not willing to help with nothing. Totally not welcoming which it is quite weird for a hotel. The only good thing it is location and cleaning services where a nice lady is in charge. Not recommended.
carol magnanelli★★☆☆☆
Very disappointing stay during the summer. The hotel has no air conditioning or any effective way to keep the rooms cool, which made the heat unbearable. The only solution provided was a small floor fan that barely worked and was extremely noisy. We even had to ask for a replacement because of the noise. For a hotel in Paris during summer, the lack of basic cooling facilities is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here in hot weather.
Ana Gabriela Ciortoloman★☆☆☆☆
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My belongings were STOLEN from my room because someone took our key card while the man at the reception was not paying attention. If the hotel were to reimburse me, I would probably have posted a review more to raised awareness for the people staying in. But because this is 100% their fault and they have video footage that proves this and they still do not reply to emails and still did not manage to reimburse me 2 months from the incident, this review is more of a STAY AWAY!
Diego Zarzosa★☆☆☆☆
A hotel with no air conditioning. A fan in a room that was 42°C (108°F). When I asked to cancel my stay, they didn't even reply. Quite rude, and the facilities are more like something from centuries past,l. A terrible choice; it's overpriced for what they offer, which is practically nothing. They don't even answer mails. If you can go to another hotel, don't hesitate, run!

I had such an incredible stay at Hotel 10 Opera! The staff at the front desk truly make this place special. They were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. When I ran into a snag and needed to make some calls, they didn't hesitate to let me borrow their phone and helped me sort everything out. That level of care and kindness is rare to find. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable experience!

I had a very pleasant stay. The room was cute and nicely decorated, although a bit small, which might be noticeable during a longer stay. The location is definitely a strong point. Very convenient for getting around and exploring the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection to start the day right. Overall, a charming place that I would recommend, especially for a short stay in the heart of Paris.

Everything was wonderful. 🌟 Thank you, Hotel 10 Opera! The administration and the entire staff were absolutely amazing, very professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone was extremely helpful at every step, always ready to assist and to resolve any questions quickly and efficiently. The location is excellent — right in the city center, with very convenient transport connections. The rooms are lovely and quite spacious for a small Parisian hotel. Everything was very clean, the beds were soft and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. I would also highly recommend the breakfasts — everything was very tasty and well prepared. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic stay.💗
Erica Lunde★★★☆☆
The hostel is in a great location, but the service is nothing to write home about. When we checked in to the hostel one of the curtains in my bed had multiple fresh blood stains on them, we spoke to the reception every day of our stay (6days) about this, and they said they’ll change them, but never did. Instead they changed my sheets, and I found all my stuff in piles on the bed… I therefore had to move the pillow to not lie directly in it with my face. Cleaning lady was very disrespectful and frustrated that we had to use our ensuite bathroom (for approximately 2minutes) when she wanted to clean the room. Although she was cleaning the room every day, she didn’t refill either soap or toilet paper, something I both had to ask her and the reception for both upon arrival and throughout the stay. We got no compensation for these inconveniences, and I therefore think this place needs to step their service up a notch, before I ever would consider staying here again. Not worth the price…

Just had a great stay in Hotel Lautrec Opera, it’s so well located. Metro right beside the hotel, loads of cafes, restaurants etc within a minute or two walk. Air con worked well and wasn’t too noisy, had a lovely room with a window opening onto the street. Despite being so central and next to a major street, the hotel is tucked away, so not too noisy at night! Comfortable rooms, good beds, shower good. A good base for exploring the city. The only thing they could improve, is for drinking water to fill water bottles in the foyer. Thumbs up from me!

Another thing is, calling this building the painter's house may be an embellishment. This building was 'la maison close' which the painter visited sometimes. You can find several references to the hotel's address on Wikipedia. I thought of sharing this because it is fair for potential guests to know the actual nature of the building. As this hotel seemed clearly not for 'typical Japanese' customers, I decided to leave after being kept waiting for more than half an hour for check-in. You also have to be ready for being told things like 'Just sit there and wait. This is not Japan' or mocking comments like 'typical Japanese' from seemingly the manager there. I have a recording of the whole conversation, and I am ready to share it if you have any questions. I'm not opposed to the fact that there have been lots of people happily staying there, and this is just to let you know that you have a chance to face an unwelcoming receptionist, which might ruin your stay in Paris.
Javier Yáñez★☆☆☆☆
The rooms are tiny and poorly manteined The location is dark, messy and borderlan dangerous The service is horrendous. Employed make double charges for random concepts and then refuse to refund due to “lack of permissions from management” A shame of an establishment

Great place. Strategic and accessible to food, drinks, shopping and MRT connections. Room is clean, place is quiet and staff is friendly. Try it and you will return again......

A modest and compact hotel that really delivers on comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. As a solo female traveler, I found it ideal for a short stay. The room was quite small, but thoughtfully arranged, with a surprisingly comfortable bed and efficient A/C which is a lifesaver during warm days in Paris! The location is a standout. It is tucked on a quiet, low-traffic street, yet just minutes from metro stations, great dining spots, and major shopping and tourist areas. As a female solo traveler and a first-timer to Paris I felt pretty safe walking around during the day, though I can’t speak to what it’s like at night since I didn’t go out then. While my room’s window faced a concrete wall, it didn’t bother me much because I was only there to sleep after full days out exploring. A few minor drawbacks: no microwave, a fridge that wasn’t very cold, a slow-draining sink, and thin walls (you may hear your neighbors in the bathroom). That said, for the price and location, it’s hard to beat. If you’re looking for a practical, no-fuss place to stay with everything you really need, this hotel is a solid choice. Highly recommended!

When we arrived, with luggage in hand, we were greeted at the front door by the desk agent. Upon checking in he surprised us with a free upgrade to a deluxe room and we were extremely pleased with our accomodations. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was spacious. We stayed in room 588, and had a nice little balcony to which each morning we would open the window to drink our espresso. The location of the property is tucked away in the eastern portion of the 8th arrondissement. The neighborhood is very quiet and there was a store nearby to get essentials and also a boulangerie right around the block to get your morning pastry. The location is very convenient, La Madeleine is a 5 minute walk, Place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens, and the Louvre are all about 20-25 minutes away on foot. If you need the public transport the Auber RER station is 5 minutes away, and there are other metro stations very close. I can't recommend this hotel enough!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Queen Mary in Paris was an absolute perfect choice. The location is excellent – close to everything, yet in a quiet and safe area, which really matters in a busy city like Paris. The hotel itself is stylish, elegant, very clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and exactly what you need for a great stay. What truly makes this place exceptional, however, is the service. Special thanks to Klarissa at the reception – she is absolutely outstanding. Extremely kind, welcoming, professional and genuinely helpful. From the very first moment, she makes you feel taken care of and truly appreciated as a guest. She goes above and beyond, always with a smile and natural kindness. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and authentic. Thanks to people like Klarissa, this hotel becomes much more than just a place to stay – it becomes a great experience. Highly recommended, and we will definitely come back 👍

The hotel staff were all very friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but the walls were thin and the doors were close together, so it was annoying when the guests next door were noisy.
Feyza Şahin★★★★★
The location is the best. It is an old building but clean and neat. The staff is really friendly and hospitable. It is 200 m. to the Madeline Metro station. It took 30 minutes from Orly Airport. Eiffel Tower is 2 km. long. Opera district is so peaceful.
Stephen Tiberino★★★★★
Got to hotel about 4 hours early. Understanding too soon to check in. When desk clerk found out, we just arrived in Paris, he said he would check with housekeeping to see if we could get a room earlier. Meanwhile, he said since the breakfast room was still open, to go back and get coffee and some food (put on our bill). Best scrambled eggs ever. We did get in the room early and the young ladies who were at the desk later were also extremely helpful.

Great hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms were large and well kept, and the bathrooms were also spacious, with both a shower and a bathtub. Although the hotel is on a busy road, our room was pleasantly quiet, which we really appreciated. The water fountain was a nice touch, and breakfast was very decent. The only downside was that the rooms lacked some basic amenities you would normally expect in a hotel, such as a kettle, tea, shampoo, conditioner, bathrobes, and slippers.

This hotel is our favorite in Paris for my daughter and me! The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The staff is excellent: friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, between L’Opéra and the Galeries Lafayette. The breakfast is fantastic, although unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy it at the hotel on our last visit.
Sayora Esser★☆☆☆☆
We booked a deluxe room at this hotel but instead we were given a classic one. Staff at the reception told me a few times at the time of the check-in that we had a 'luxe' room. When I saw the room it was definitely not 'luxe' - nothing like what you see on the photos that they have for their deluxe room and based on which we had made the booking. Apart from that, this deluxe room didn't have simple toiletries, a kettle or an iron. If this was a deluxe room I really would like to see their classic room. The following morning when I asked if this was a classic room, they told me it was a deluxe one and if it was about the size of the room. No, it wasn't about the size. It is about the fact that you do not treat your customers equally and maybe you shouldn't be working in this industry. This was the fourth time we stayed in this hotel (mainly because the location is great) and the last one. Thank you very much for making our time in Paris so special.

The location, the quality of the hotel, and the cleanliness are impeccable. However, the breakfast is very poor for a hotel of this level. There are no proper egg dishes, no vegetables, and the coffee is weak as well. In hotels of this standard elsewhere, freshly squeezed orange juice and even prosecco are usually included.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space to hang up your clothes, a kettle in the room made it nice to make a coffee in the morning. It was nice to open up the French doors and get fresh air in and to watch the early morning foot traffic as they left for work. It felt like you were part of the community.

Staff where amazing. Could not fault. bottled Water always on hand for free. Fam in room if needed. Room was small but had a balcony. Little outdated in decor in places. But satisfied needs. But clean and maintenence good. Didnt get breakfast.so cant comment on that. Local food Korean style in area. Little too far out for us location wise. For the money we paid was good. Small hotel . Fully working lift. Spiral stairs. Wouldn't stay again jusy due to location for us. But would recommend for anyone on a budget

I chose this hotel because I was drawn to the fact that Baudelaire once stayed here during his early, lesser-known years. From the balcony of my classic-style room, I could even see the National Library — a wonderful setting for anyone who loves literature. The neighborhood is full of charming cafés, restaurants, and boutiques, and the location is fantastic. The Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier, and the Palais-Royal are all about a 10-minute walk away. I truly enjoyed staying in such an inspiring and convenient area. That said, I wouldn’t recommend having high expectations for the breakfast😅

Hotel Baudelaire is conveniently located just north of the Louvre near several metro stops that can get you across the city! The staff are incredible, every single one was very helpful spoke great English and were very accommodating of my poor French attempts (Merci!). The beds were firm. The showers had excellent water pressure, and it was a wonderful base of operations for our week long trip! Thank you to the staff for helping make Paris magical for my wife and our friends!

Hotel Baudelaire Opéra is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located, no-frills stay in Paris. As a three-star hotel, it offers good value for money, with decent rooms that are generally clean, even if not perfect. The location is convenient, and the service stands out as particularly friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience easy and comfortable. A reliable option if you want something simple that does the job well. Quietly rated: worth stopping.

The hotel’s location is excellent and definitely its biggest advantage. It is within walking distance of Printemps, Galeries Lafayette, the main shopping streets, and Saint-Lazare station, making it a very convenient base for exploring Paris. The hotel is clean and comfortable, although the rooms are quite small, which is fairly typical for hotels in Paris. The main downside was the elevator situation. The hotel only has two elevators, and during my stay one of them was out of service. This meant that a single elevator had to serve all guests as well as hotel staff. Whenever staff used it with their service carts, there was barely any room left for guests, and I sometimes had to wait 10 to 15 minutes just to get an elevator. This was quite frustrating. There were also some maintenance works taking place during my stay, which caused some noise. Despite these inconveniences, the location is so good that I would still consider staying here again on a future visit to Paris.
Darryl★★★★☆
We chose Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier strategically for its excellent location during our short stay in Paris, as it offers immediate access to prime shopping destinations like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, both just a stone’s throw away. The rooms were on the smaller side but functional. The overall feel leans more toward a business hotel, and it didn’t quite match the usual Mercure brand experience — more of a no-frills setting. The room lacked a sense of premium touches in its furnishings and finishes, and the environment could almost pass for an Ibis if not for the more attentive service.
Vincent Raso★★☆☆☆
I’ll start by saying that I absolutely love Paris, so this review is about the hotel—not the city. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here. The staff were consistently unhelpful. I understand that not every request can be accommodated, but a little effort would have gone a long way. The breakfast was also very disappointing and well below what I would expect from a hotel in Paris. We ate outside the hotel to get some decent Parisian breakfast! Finally, the rooms are incredibly small. I know hotel rooms in Paris (Europe, more broadly) tend to be compact, but this was the smallest I’ve experienced. It made the room feel cramped and difficult to use comfortably, especially with luggage. Overall, Paris is a fantastic destination, but I would recommend looking at other hotel options!

The Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier was an excellent choice for our four nights stay in Paris. The location has many popular restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The location also is near several bus and Metro stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful even offering omelette and specially prepared eggs on request. We would absolutely recommend this Mercure hotel.

Lovely small hotel with modern check-in experience. Rooms are very clean and well appointed, but very small (considering the price we paid). Staff was friendly, but lack some tools. They were unable to make a dinner reservation for me, although they were willing. Questions about where to eat or have breakfast were best answered with Google.

We had 3 people stay in a 1 bedroom suite with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. The apartment is very clean and looks relatively newly renovated. Including very nice bathroom with standing shower. Clean and plenty pressure for shower water. The room have no ac but have ceiling fans ( new style). It was April so weather was good without AC. Location is prime.. near Lourve and central to many areas for Paris and shops. It also has small kitchen and cookwares, because my stay was only for couple days we didn’t cook. Because why would you when Paris have awesome food all around. There is no reception but can call and talk. A none problem for us. Fantastic experience!

May 31, 2026 Disliked: cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property condition I can only say that I DO NOT recommend it. There are no signs around the area. It was difficult to find, especially at first time. As soon as you enter, the lobby has a very unpleasant smell mould and urine. There's no air conditioning in the room, and the fan didn't help, so I just opened the window. Otherwise, I could get heatstroke. In the early mornings, there was roadwork going on right outside the window, accompanied by beeping and loud conversations... he bathroom sink was clogged because it filled with water within seconds of use, making it unusable. I used the kitchen sink. There were only two tea bags left...but no cups, so I drank tea from a glass. Good location not worth the price.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The only, slightly, redeeming quality about this 'hotel' is its location. The lobby and hallways smell like sewage, the rooms are tiny - barely enough room for two people, the sheets and towels were dirty and old (ours had blood stains), only 1 outlet functioned in our room, and the elevator has a max 200kg limit. I would strongly recommend that you look somewhere else for lodging.

The location is very nice. We stayed at the top floor so it wasn't that loud at night. The room is small but quite lovely. Unfortunately the bed is very small and very uncomfortable. Everything looked clean besides the shower window which is very moldy. The whole building has a very bad smell to it. Overall it is fine for a short stay but if you want to stay at the hotel some time to get some rest, I cannot recommed it at all.

Attention: misleading listing regarding the beds. I booked a French bed, but there was only a single bed. The room was cold and poorly insulated. The cleaning staff made a lot of noise early in the morning and, on the last day before check-out, they knocked twice to ask whether I had paid the city tax, which I had already paid. The bathroom sink was practically clogged. I informed the property immediately but received no response. I do not recommend booking this property.

Honestly great location. Great rooms. Great bed and great airconditioning. We could’ve wished for a bit more quality interiors for the price, was a bit a shame with the cheap fake marble table and cheap chairs. but the bed was nice and comfy; so was the pillows and sheets. very clean. there was construction when we were there so we got woken up after having a long night. location is incredible and spacious rooms

Large space for family of four. Very clean. Easy to access. Communication was great. Boarding pass made getting in, storing luggage, and checking out super easy! Large bathroom with washer/dryer. Toilet in sepeate room. Food, shopping & metro all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!

Great 2 bedroom apartment - lots of room and lovely quality amenities. Just wish the carpet on the stairs was better as it didn’t give a good reflection of the building. Great comms from the Quartier Libre team.

Thank you for the accommodation. The apartment finishing exceeded all expectations, especially considering the new building designed specifically for the apartment floor. Thank you very much.

This is a tranquil apartment that is extremely well serviced, in the center of paris. Very clean and great facilities, we went in the middle of a heat wave and the air-conditioning worked wonders.

Tips for Choosing Your Hotel Near Palais Garnier

Selecting the right property involves more than just looking at photographs; it requires matching the hotel’s character to your travel style. The area around the Opera is diverse, with different micro-neighborhoods offering varying atmospheres. To ensure your stay is seamless and memorable, consider the following expert recommendations tailored specifically for this vibrant district.

Prioritize Soundproofing
The streets surrounding the Palais Garnier, particularly the Boulevard Haussmann and Avenue de l’Opéra, are major thoroughfares with constant traffic. While a room with a view of the Opera is romantic, it can come with street noise. Look for hotels that specifically mention double-glazed windows or acoustic insulation in their room descriptions to ensure a restful sleep.

Leverage the RER Roissybus Access
If you are traveling to or from Charles de Gaulle Airport, staying here is incredibly convenient. The Roissybus departs from a station located just behind the Palais Garnier on Rue Scribe. Choosing a hotel within a five-minute walk of this stop can save you significant money on taxis and the hassle of navigating the RER B with heavy luggage.

Check for Club or Lounge Access
Many of the grand palace hotels in this district offer executive club lounges. Given that dining in the 9th arrondissement can be expensive, booking a room rate that includes lounge access can be highly economical. This often covers breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails—perfect for fueling up before a night at the ballet.

Consider the "Back Streets"
While staying directly on the Avenue de l’Opéra is glamorous, the smaller streets like Rue de la Paix or Rue Saint-Honoré offer a more boutique feel. These streets are often pedestrian-lighter in the evenings and provide a more "local" atmosphere while still keeping you within a three-minute walk of the Opera steps.

Plan for Late-Night Dining
Opera performances at the Palais Garnier typically end around 10:30 PM or 11:00 PM. If you plan to attend a show, verify that your hotel’s restaurant or room service operates late, or identify nearby brasseries that serve dinner after the curtain falls. Not all hotel kitchens stay open past 10 PM, so planning ahead prevents a hungry end to a magical evening.

Verify Air Conditioning
While Paris is generally temperate, summer heatwaves are becoming increasingly common. Many historic buildings in the Opera district have strict façade regulations, which sometimes complicate modern HVAC installation. Always confirm that your selected hotel offers individually controlled air conditioning in the rooms if you are traveling between June and September.

Choosing a hotel near the Palais Garnier places you in a position of privilege, where the best of Parisian culture, shopping, and gastronomy lies at your feet. It is an investment in convenience that pays dividends in saved time and reduced stress.

By selecting a property that aligns with the practical tips above, you ensure that your focus remains on the beauty of your surroundings rather than the logistics of your trip. Whether you are here for the music, the fashion, or the history, the Opera district welcomes you with open arms and unmatched elegance.
