12 Best Hotels Near Casa de Campo

Finding the right accommodation can define your entire trip to the Dominican Republic. While the luxurious confines of Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in La Romana are world-renowned, staying just outside its gates offers a different kind of magic. It opens the door to local culture, diverse dining options, and often, a significantly better value for your travel budget.

The area surrounding the resort is vibrant and full of character. From the bustling streets of La Romana town to the serene coastal stretches of Bayahibe, the "outside" world is rich with opportunity. Choosing a hotel nearby allows you to dip into the resort’s amenities when desired—perhaps for a round of golf or a dinner reservation—while retreating to your own private sanctuary at night.

However, the term "near" can be subjective. Depending on your itinerary, you might want to be five minutes from the Casa de Campo marina for a fishing charter, or perhaps you prefer to be twenty minutes east in Dominicus, closer to the natural pools and Saona Island departure points. Understanding the geography is the first step to a perfect stay.

This guide focuses on properties that offer exceptional quality, service, and proximity to the Casa de Campo area. Whether you are a family looking for all-inclusive convenience, a couple seeking a romantic boutique escape, or a solo traveler needing a reliable base for exploration, there is a perfect match waiting for you.

We have prioritized hotels with strong reputations for cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and authentic Dominican hospitality. Rather than sending you to the crowded mega-resorts that feel disconnected from the country, we highlight stays that allow you to breathe, explore, and experience La Romana like a local.

Below, we have curated a selection of the best hotels in the vicinity. These options balance luxury with practicality, ensuring that your visit to the Casa de Campo area is seamless from check-in to checkout.

Overall, the hotel is clean, smells good, and the garden is beautiful, but it needs some refreshing, the pool area and the walls in the rooms. Only reason I gave a 4 to the hotel staff is because the housekeeping left a dirty glass in our sink, which wasn't ours, took our key card from the socket by the door when we left it there by mistake, and the coffee and milk were not replaced at all, but that may be because of the difference in standards between the United Kingdom and Spain. The location is perfect! Pool is clean, bar is nice, but working hours are 11-19:00, so early mornings and evenings are not possible.

Honestly best hotel I've ever stayed at. The sunset from the roof us a must. It's beautiful. The room was really nice bit of noise from the street but expected with balcony room. I'd stay here again for sure. Amazing stay. The staff were very helpful. The door to balcony wasn't working when we got there and someone came to fix it immediately. Also one of the sockets in the room was very loose and I didn't feel safe using it at all, definitely a hazard but I used a different one instead for my stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Inhala. We had a superior double room so a beautiful terrace and sun loungers came with the room. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. I was not expecting the room to be cleaned every day so thank you to the cleaners and their hard work. The rooms do need updating they are tired and the walls are a bit shabby but I’m happy if somewhere is comfortable and clean. The pool was stunning to say the least. The restaurant served gorgeous food. The staff are helpful and the usual Madrid hospitality to be expected

I’d rate the rooms 3/5 overall, based on the average of the two rooms we stayed in during our visit. We were initially assigned Room 440 and were disappointed by its condition. The room felt worn, with stained carpeting and dated finishes that didn’t match the photos on the hotel’s website. The bathroom also featured an unusual sand-under-plexiglass floor that wasn’t to our taste. After the first night, we spoke with the front desk again. The gentleman who assisted us listened to our concerns and quickly moved us to a newly updated room at no extra charge. The difference was significant, and the new room was excellent. His customer service turned the experience around. The hotel’s location is outstanding—right in the heart of Madrid, steps from Gran Vía and with a Metro station directly across the street. The property is attractive, parts of it have been nicely renovated, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. One thing I would skip is the breakfast buffet. At €16 per person, it didn't offer great value. We tried it on our first morning, but for the next two days we chose to explore nearby cafés instead. Given the location, you're surrounded by countless cafés and bakeries within a short walk where you can enjoy a better and more authentic breakfast experience for the same price or less. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but I suggest paying close attention to the room type you book, as the quality can vary considerably. This hotel should be getting 4.5+ ratings if the rooms were better based on location and the great staff but I can see why they are stuck between 3.5-4.0 stars.
Helena Nuño Nuño★★★★★
Majestic decor in a strategically-located area downtown Madrid. 360-degree views of Madrid's skyline and nearby green areas. Worth taking bath suit, flip flops and towel for a full experience in its rooftop pool. During the Pride Week, don't feel guilty for not looking at every detail of the terrace, and instead, admiring the sculptural bodies passing by or having a calm, respectful bath. Refreshing vertical garden, although not as accessible as it deserves. The hotel offers tour guides at set hours, for about 25 Euros.

Disappointing experience – belongings taken by housekeeping I stayed at Petit Hostel Latina for three nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Due to a mistake with the bed assignment, another guest had mistakenly slept in my assigned bed (201). The receptionist therefore moved me to bed 202 and made a note in the system about the change. The following morning, however, housekeeping apparently made up bed 202 as if it were still occupied by the previous guest, and my belongings were removed. Among the missing items are a white Marco Polo T-shirt and underwear, as well as a water bottle. I immediately contacted reception and spoke to several members of staff, including the receptionist the previous night and the receptionist the following morning. Despite this, the issue has still not been resolved. I was told that the matter would be discussed with management, but I have yet to receive a proper solution. My belongings are also not in the hostel’s lost-and-found. What is particularly frustrating is that this situation was caused by a mistake in the hostel’s own bed assignment and the failure to communicate the bed change properly to housekeeping. I would therefore expect the hostel to take responsibility for the belongings that were removed as a result. I hope the hostel will still resolve this appropriately by returning my belongings or reimbursing me for them. Until then, I cannot recommend this hostel based on my experience. I have also attached a photo taken at the hostel showing me wearing the T-shirt that was subsequently removed by housekeeping.

This hostel is run by AI there are no humans in this hostel. You enter by putting your sensitive information in a kiosk outside of the hostel, so make sure you have data/wifi. I did this and arrived after checkout time (4 pm), yet the system would not give me my key card, saying that “the bed wasn’t ready”. So I clicked the help button, which connects to a call center in a far away foreign country. The first time, a woman picked up and said she’s “helping other customers” and she hung up on me, it took 20 more minutes for anyone to answer. A man picked up the call and when I said hello he said “ you better be nice or else I’m not going to help you” I was too stunned to speak, it was pouring rain and all I said was hola. Eventually he realized the mistake and fixed it, I was able to check in. Well it got worse. When you enter the building you have to go down stairs, and there is no elevator, so be prepared if you have heavy bags. I was fortunate to get put in a female dorm, however when I opened the door there was a broken full glass mirror all over the floor. Glass shards were everywhere. I immediately used WhatsApp to tell the ai chat bot, who told me it will transfer it to a human. One hour later, they told me they will not fix anything as “it’s not their fault” . I begged them saying there is glass in the bathroom, shower, everywhere, that this cannot be safe. I asked for compensation and they refused. Well after begging and pleading they sent a human to clean up the glass. Outside of this tumultuous entry, it seems they have humans clean the rooms every few hours. It is clean, and whatever material they use for the floors dries water quite quickly so the showers and bathroom was fine. They came in about 4 times a day to do random things like change key cards and clean the common bathroom. Because my dorm only had 2-3 people at a time, it was manageable but I would not stay here if it was fully booked, because the walkway is quite narrow and there are no windows if it gets too hot. They do give a free towel (most hostels dont so this was a nice touch), and there is no need to bring a padlock, because your keycard will do it for you. There is no luggage storage. With all this considered, I want you to take a good look at yourself and say is this something I want to do. This is not a social hostel, it’s honestly more of a capsule hotel. I think they should market it like that, and make it more apparent when booking it is run by AI.

The service is quite good as the staff is very nice and warm. They answer your questions and listen. The location is fine with connection to metro via bus. The facility is not bad but just some small details. For example, the upper beds are a bit hard to climb up while the hooks in the bathroom only allows deep enough to put on one piece of clothes.

Excellent hostel in a great location. The hostel was super clean, very quiet, and perfect for a comfortable stay. The area of La Latina is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and attractions nearby. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madrid!
Hari Sekhon★★☆☆☆
Badly Cost Optimized - room was so small there was nowhere to put shoes never mind a suitcase, there's no kitchen, no water dispenser, no hot water tap so shaving is miserable, the shower turns off every 5-10 seconds depending on how hard you smash the water button which makes showering needlessly difficult, the motion sensor lights switch off too quickly while you're still standing by the wash basin, the privacy curtains don't separate the head to toe bunks for light pollution, and you may need to self-check in on a computer outside, so you may need working mobile data before you arrive. One woman forgot her key card in her room and was sitting on the floor at 1am because she couldn't get back in and there was nobody there to help her..I advised her to go back outside to the help button to dispense a new card. When there was staff, a couple of the reception girls were good but a staff guy was really rude to a Chinese woman at check-in, me and a friend were sitting in reception just looking at each other dumbfounded at his rudeness 🙈. Overall this hostel looks good in pics but is just too hard cost optimized to be comfortable in practice. I should have booked a shorter stay and switched to another hostel. Avoid. Check in only available 3pm - Midnight, need to check in 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp but the number has changed to a non WhatsApp number and their phone number goes to a bot that hangs up on you. They didn't honour my booking as they called me a no show but I had no way of contacting them in advance

The location is great and the room was small but okay. However, there was a lack of management of the hostel: there was nobody at the reception most of the time and the room was not cleaned for the three days we were there. Moreover, no action was taken against other guests who were very loud late at night and smoking inside (the accomodation was non-smoking). It was also very hot because they turned on the heater that could not be controlled from the room.

Worst place i ever had to stay . And the price is actually expensive for such a hole . Tiny shower , you cant even move. Feels like a prison. I spoke with one person who seemed to be working there and he was super rude because we arrive a little bit earlier than our arrival time. No reception or waiting area . They made us go through so much trouble just to receive the pin of the place , you need to make check in alone online before u receive an email with orders . Honestly if it was 10 euro per night i would not complain but 40-50-60 euros is alot for such a horrible place . Wifi doesnt work -.- I suggest go somewhere else
Angela Blaschke★☆☆☆☆
Just getting into the building was a nightmare. Despite me filling out all kinds of forms beforehand and scanning our passports, they never sent me the PIN code needed to get into the door. They also never check their Booking.com messages. After many difficult phone calls we finally received a PIN only to discover that you needed yet another code to open a little box which contained the key to the room. The opening mechanism of the box was absurdly complicated. The room itself was tiny and ugly, no window, but only a grate that opened into the hallway, so every time someone returned or left their room and turned the light on, it illuminated our room. Needless to say, neither the fan nor the AC worked. Would not recommend this place!
Lauren Foxx★☆☆☆☆
I can't believe this is allowed to host people as a hostel. It was dirty and very loud. The owners room was next to mine and all I heard all night was her walking around making noise ! It didn't help that a small square hole was above my door so any noise I could here. Bathroom was tiny with no air. The air con was leaking so there was a pot of dirty water next to my bed. Says no pets and there was a dog there which I have allergies to. It was cheap though and right in the centre of madrid so you can't expect much when you pay cheap prices but cleanliness doesn't cost much at all . Missing the kitchen in the pictures too.

I had a great week staying at Petit Hostel Palacio. The hostel was very clean, and I met some really lovely people during my stay, which made the experience even better. One thing I’d recommend is not leaving any of your belongings in the hallway outside the rooms. I left something there briefly, and unfortunately it was taken. Other than that, I had a very positive experience and would happily recommend this hostel.

5 star hostel for me. My room was extremely quiet, occasionally some outside noise from the lobby but nothing from the street which is extremely important. The privacy curtains for the bunks were great. I stayed in the 8 bed female dorm and we had our own bathroom with a shower and sink in our private hallway. Theres drink and Food options if you want to take advantage as well as a lounge. Good lockers that use your key card for the room, so no need to being your own lock. Some of the best sleep I've had in a hostel, would stay again.

I had a great time staying at Petit Hostel Palacio Real, thanks to Juan who welcomed me warmly at the check-in desk and was very helpful with my questions. I stayed in the 8 bed female dorm, which was equipped with everything I needed to feel safe and get a good nights sleep. A bonus are the beautiful parks around the corner at the metro station less than 5min away.

We had a great stay at this hostel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. The location is excellent and makes it easy to explore the area. The facilities were clean and well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and we always felt welcome. A special thanks goes to Marco, who went above and beyond to help us in a difficult situation. His support and kindness made a big difference for us, and we really appreciated it. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with great people, a convenient location, and clean facilities. We would happily come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Just want to start off by saying the location is amazing! Its very close to the Metro and it was easy to walk to the Plaza Mayor. Lots of life in the neighborhood with lots to see and do. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. 5 Stars for service! The rooms... small. The bathroom definitely does not feel like it belongs in a 4 star hotel. Its small, not well built and after taking a shower it feels so humid in the whole room its like there's not enough airflow circulating through their HVAC. I get that Europe typically doesn't do fans in their bathrooms but yikes. We definitely had to open our windows during showers to help with the humidity. The bed was spacious and comfy however while laying down it was not pleasant looking up at ceiling. In our room there appeared to be some water damage? Not exactly sure but a pretty sizable brown stain on the ceiling. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed here for 3 nights. My favorite thing about this hotel is the location, close enough to everything to walk but far enough to be out of the busy streets when it’s time to sleep (I was here for the FIFA final celebrations and was still able to sleep like a baby). I walked everywhere, never felt like I needed to use public transportation. The room was perfect for a solo traveler - a single bed, closet, desk, and small fridge. I was also on the first floor, so I was able to pop in and out really easily by using the stairs. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but only one set of towels. There is a hairdryer and a towel warming rack. Windows open with no issues, and AC is very good. Front desk speaks English. Now for the downside and why I took away two stars… my bathroom had no shower curtain or wall, which is fine if the drain worked properly. The first night I noticed the shower wasn’t draining properly, but it wasn’t bad enough to be alarmed as it was only in the bathroom and resolved quickly once I was done. The next day I decided to wash my hair (so a longer shower) and the whole bathroom flooded, it was so bad that the water went into the bedroom (down the little ramp) and soaked my luggage and items on the floor. I had to clean it up and do a load of laundry. After this happened the whole room and bathroom smelled bad. I didn’t try the breakfast nor the restaurant downstairs, so I can’t speak on those. There are so many good restaurants, coffee shops, and a supermarket nearby. For the location alone, I would stay here again, but I’d probably pay a little more for a better room (and have them check the drain).
Fabrizio Francioso★★★★☆
Hotel Opera is located in a perfect location for taking advantage of all one can do and see in the centre of Madrid. The Royal Palace, Plaza Major, the Mercado de San Miguel, la Gran Via, the Thyssen Bornemisza museum and, of course, the Opera theatre are only a stroll away. The area is bubbling of shopping opportunities, restaurants and bar of any sort. And if that is not enough the metro, almost behind the corner, gives you access to everything else. In the hotel the staff is extremely helpful, polite and discreet. The breakfast is rich and tasty and offers enough to get you going through the day without thinking of lunch. The rooms are very clean and reasonably spacious. However the style comes across as slightly outdated and overall a bit tired. The shower deserves a special mention for its generous size and the water flow which offers pressure and consistency of temperature that, with well functioning drain, make for a very enjoyable experience. Less enjoyable is the smell that sometimes can be perceived in the stairways or along the corridors revealing, perhaps, some hidden humidity issues. Overall a very good value for money accommodation even if some very demanding clientele may be disappointed.

My wife and I are returning to the UK this morning after a 3 night break with some friends. We have had a lovely time which was enhanced by our stay in Hotel Opera. It is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of many interesting sights and venues. The hotel is well maintained to a very high standard and has excellent amenities available for guests. The best part of our hotel experience was the level of service provided by all of the excellent staff in all areas of the hotel. In particular, the reception staff and a shout out must go to Luis Miguel and Andrea who, when I initially checked in, immediately leapt into action to retrieve an important bag which i had inadvertently left in a taxi. I had no record of which taxi I had used but they managed to swiftly track the driver down and retrieve my bag. I am so grateful for their help and I felt that they definitely put my needs first and made my stay in the hotel a lovely experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We had an excellent experience during our overnight stay at Hotel Ópera. The location is superb, offering convenient access to the surrounding area and making it easy to get around. The hotel’s interior design is particularly impressive, reflecting a high level of attention to detail and aesthetic quality. Our room was clean, well-maintained, and compact yet entirely adequate for a comfortable stay. The reception team was consistently polite, professional, and accommodating. The front desk manager, in particular, was exceptionally helpful — attentive to our needs and always willing to assist, even on multiple occasions. While the breakfast selection was somewhat varied, the overall experience was very positive. The quality of service truly stands out and makes this hotel easy to recommend. We look forward to returning in the future.

I’m a traveler from Japan and I stayed there 3 days ago and overall services are great and I love how Receptionist name Daniel and Susana are amazing and Mr. Kris handled me professionally and explained me well. The rooms are clean, good amenities and great breakfast. It exceeded our expectations! I will surely book and stay here for my next travel!

Small rooms that are concerned with posting signs everywhere of what you can’t do instead of providing amenities. Why have so many signs to not put luggage on the desk without adding a luggage rack? Customer service isn’t rude but surely isn’t hospitable. Low priced for a reason but I absolutely wouldn’t be back.
Thomas Tsiftilis★☆☆☆☆
From the start I had many issues with this place. They made me run around the city back and forth from their office and my room because they failed to send me a final contract to sign before my arrival. However, they were happy to collect all my money beforehand. After making my first day a living nightmare, they continued to cause all sorts of other issues throughout my stay. They consistently just drop by for room tours and open your rooms without consent or sufficient notice ahead of time. They consistently threaten to fine our apartment for not keeping the most random things clean. Additionally, they decided to charge every single person in our apartment 50 euros because a few people were being too loud in the main living area and got a noise complaint from a neighbour. Instead of reasonably addressing the issue, they continued to drag it out over the course of a month and insist that we provide evidence that we were not there so we are not to be fined. They also have cameras all around the apartment that they did not mention prior to booking, that were also were conveniently not working when this alleged “party” was taking place giving them the right to charge our whole apartment. Do not live here, find somewhere else to stay if you don’t want unnecessary headaches. The rooms and place are fairly nice, but everything else makes it a nightmare to deal with.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Grupotel Mayorazgo in Madrid. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the warm, professional, and attentive staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The hotel is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located in the heart of Madrid, just steps away from Gran Vía and many of the city’s main attractions. The rooms are elegant, quiet, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The restaurant deserves special recognition. Every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with great attention to detail. The breakfast offered an excellent variety of fresh, high-quality products, and the service was exceptional. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, attentive, and always smiling, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for such outstanding hospitality. It is rare to find a hotel where every detail is handled with such care and professionalism. I will definitely return on my next visit to Madrid and will gladly recommend Grupotel Mayorazgo to my friends and family. Five stars are truly well deserved! A very special thank you to Chef Momo! You made our dining experience truly unforgettable. Your talent, kindness, and attention to every guest are simply exceptional. Every dish was absolutely delicious and prepared with great passion and care. Chef Momo is not only an outstanding chef but also an incredibly attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful person. He is a true professional and a wonderful person. Thank you for everything—I can’t wait to come back!

Decent hotel, but the value doesn’t quite add up The location is great and the rooms are comfortable, but for the price point, I expected a bit more in terms of basic amenities. No kettle or complimentary tea/coffee in the room, no free drinking water, and toiletries are a single all-in-one product — no separate shampoo, body wash, or hand wash. These are fairly standard inclusions at similarly priced hotels, so it felt a little stingy. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing before you book if these things matter to you.

Great place to stay, reception is not in the same location but very easy to get to and you get to enjoy a walk through the city! Fab room (I booked the one with private balcony and bathroom) room was very clean, staff friendly and helpful and mobile app easy to navigate. Very pleasant stay and will defenitly book again when I go back to Madrid. The location of the room was beautiful, close to all the sights that Madrid has to offer and metro services are close if you would like to venture away from the centre.

Great location! The room was fine, very tight fit with all of mine and my partners belongings - almost impossible to move without one of us on the bed. The bed was fine but had a weird dip in the middle which got really uncomfortable on night 3 . The worst is the check in process and everything being on an app, it for some reason gives an option to skip the id verification - which we did. We had access to our room for two nights until they randomly deactivated our “key” due to us not completing the verification. There was only notice of this after the fact. We were stuck outside the apartment for 45+ minutes with all of our belongings inside, luckily we had our passports on us. We completed the process but still couldn’t get in until it had been approved, it took multiple messages on different platforms and took ages for someone to reply to us. When we said that it was stressful they just put the blame on us. On top of that, the app only works about 50% of the time to actually open the doors. The cleaners were lovely when we ran into them in the hall, and the room was fresh when we arrived. An incredibly frustrating experience!

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The only good thing about this hotel is the air conditioning which does a great job of keeping room cool during the summer months, the location as it is very very central and how comfortable the bed was at night. Despite all of this, there is no onsite reception so it was nearly impossible to sort out leaving bags early before check-in. Another annoying aspect which was brought to the attention of the staff was that one of the legs on the bed was broken for the duration of our stay, and nothing was done to rectify the situation. The walls are paper thin and we had to make several complaints regarding noisy guests. All in all this was not a pleasant experience for us and we had to stay in a hotel elsewhere as a result of having a broken bed. Would not recommend

Reviewing this place is according to what we have been truly experienced, an honest review and no more no less on staying for 3 nights. If you want to ruin your vacation this is the best place to stay. Here is why. The dirt on the floor which is on the picture was there from the night we got in there until the end of our stay. The bed we had was the worst. It was making noise a lot. I called, wrote a message and reported it, they didn’t do anything. shower is very slippery, shower heads are very dirty. Failed digital door. We woken the guess next to our room because the door was like clogged we cannot open it. you can hear what the next room is talking about. There is no sound proofing of the rooms. You can even hear if someone is walking outside your door. Cleanliness of the building as well is a failure. It smells like molded.

The room was tiny and not clean which did not look like the photo's on line. No room for suit cases and could barely move around the bed. The noise from the street was terrible so we were unable to sleep. The bathrooms were very ordinary and all the door handles were squeaky. You can hear your room mates threw the walls and the noise appeared to travel loudly down the corridor. Overall not a good experience.

The perfect base for our last two nights in Madrid, and a great way to close out the trip. We arrived from the Basque Country by car, which is worth planning ahead for. The hotel sits right on the Gran Vía, so there's no on-site parking. There are a couple of public garages nearby, but be prepared to walk with your luggage and budget between €20-€30 for the day. Worth knowing in advance. Once inside, everything was smooth. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, exactly what you want after weeks on the road. The Gran Vía location puts you right in the middle of everything, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, with the Callao and Plaza de España metro stations within easy walking distance, and Plaza Mayor about 20 minutes on foot. The front desk team deserves a special mention. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the gentleman who handled our checkout and went out of his way to arrange a taxi to the airport, the service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout. The hotel offers breakfast, but we preferred to eat out and experience Madrid one last time. No complaints there. A solid, well-located hotel with good service. Five stars.

The hotel has an excellent central location, making it very convenient for exploring Madrid. The room matched the pictures shown online, and the bathroom and shower were modern and very good. On the downside, the sound insulation was poor, and it was very noisy throughout the night, which made it difficult to rest properly. The breakfast selection was also quite limited and disappointing.

Great location. Accommodating staff that let us check in early. Fantastic air conditioning. Warning many stairs to get to elevators.

If you are looking for an area that is full of life day & night then you found a perfect place. Very central. The room has kitchenette with microwave, stove, utensils etc. Room feels spacious despite in the middle of busy street, feels a bit outdated.

A great location close to most attractions yet over priced for what is on offer. Lots of facilities but no basic amenities such as tea or coffee in the room. No water provided, which is a necessity, basically no frills at all. Be prepared to drag your luggage up to the first level where reception is positioned, with no assistance 😳

We stayed for 3 nights in the highs of July heat. No issue thoug The social hub has great facilities. The rooms are very well air-conditioned, they are very clean and loads of space. The rooftop pool, is very quirky, the sunbeds are a must and they provide pool towels so it's no hassle! While the pool is small, its perfect for cooling down in the heat. Pool bar is a bonus that offers lovely food and drinks. All round our stay was brilliant, this is such a lovely spot and only 10 min walk from Gran Via.

The Social Hub Madrid was the perfect base for our July 2026 visit to Madrid. The hotel has a youthful and fun vibe, and it was clearly popular with visitors in town for Madrid Pride. Our King room was spacious and the staff was great. Sebastian in particular was very kind and helpful. Breakfast is served in a great setting, and the food options and quality were both excellent. We're looking forward to trying out more Social Hub locations on future trips.

I picked this hotel after thrilled search for my wedding anniversity. It was the best hotel i booked for my Spain trip. First i send special instructions to them for our anniversity, and they responded well ! (Special credits to the artist Sebstian for the mirror painting & small nice welcoming dark choclate, thank you) The staff were amazing—all those I encountered, including Andrea, Alen, and Brother Mohammed the Albanian—were polite, helpful, and resourceful. I rememebr Andrea searching and printing for us a brief list of Halal food, thank you Andrea. The room was spacious enough for two people, and the amenities were the best compared to all the hotels we stayed at in Spain. They provided daily specialty coffee packs, tea bags, and fresh water bottles. I’m mentioning this because in our other 4-star hotels, nothing was replenished. The bathroom space might be small, but most importantly, it was properly cleaned every day. The view from our small terrace overlooking the Royal Palace and its back garden was very beautiful. The location is very close to the Royal Palace, but you have to climb a long set of stairs to reach the palace level, followed by a short walk to the entrance. Overall, the location is very good. Breakfast was tasty and offered a variety of options, although there were no cheese omelets.

We had a very nice stay here. Personnel was super friendly and helpful. The accomodation we stayed in was perfect, just everything we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet for 2 mornings, and it was amazing! The coffee shop on the ground floor does have amazing coffee and sweets too. The pool is not too big, but enough to cool down in summer. I really enjoyed that. The gym is lovely too. I loved that their were some machines and weights, next to the cardio material. Location is also very good, close to Principe Pio (metro)station, a brisk walk to the Castle and bustling centre. If you like some walking or jogging in the morning, you have Casa De Campo in the area too. You're close to Templo De Debod as well, so do go and watch the sunset there: it's amazing. It was my boyfriends Birthday when we stayed here, and they gave him a little treat and message. Which was so damn cute! You are in the busy centre of Marid, but it was quiet there, we had some really good sleep when staying in The Social Hub too. I would def(!!!) books this again, if I'm visiting Madrid on another time! Highly recommend this place peeps!

This is my third time staying at Social Hotel, and I always have a great experience! The service is excellent, the location is close to everything, and the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. The hotel is always spotless, clean, and beautifully designed. I especially love the rooftop, the pool, and the open spaces where you can work or just relax. I’ll definitely be back again soon! ⭐️

I had the pleasure of staying here for several days. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the Metro, beautiful Palace property and many other historical sites. Many restaurants are also just a short walk from the hotel. What made it even better was the friendless and helpfulness of all the staff. Well done, Thank you for a wonderful stay..

This was a great place to stay with my teenage boys for a few days in Madrid and we could walk to many restaurants and attractions in the city. The hotel was clean and well taken care of throughout, the rooms were very nice. We had a balcony and mini kitchen. Breakfast at the hotel was good and convenient. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you-we enjoyed our stay!

Spotlessly clean hotel. Staff were all very friendly, from the moment we arrived to the morning we left. Luggage room to leave belongings on checkout day if needed. Rooms were beautiful, very clean. Bathrooms had toiletries. Kitchen facilities. Microwave & cooker etc Cups, glasses, utensils. Beds very comfortable slept really well. Heating can be adjusted to your own liking in room. Great choice of breakfast items. Choose your own items and eat as much as you like. Lifts to all floors and ramps for wheelchairs. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Thankyou.

This apartment hotel is well situated and the rooms are spacious and clean. There is a roof top terrace that is open to the public Wednesday to Sunday and residents only Monday and Tuesday. This has a great view of the Royal Palace and gardens. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. There is also a free vintage car museum that is free to residents.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, clean comfortable rooms and a location close to explore Madrid. The breakfast is reasonable for what it offers and what they serve is actually better than the options you'll find around. Highly recommend.

Stayed in the room during Pokémon go fest, communication via booking was very easy

The assigned room was on the ground floor, which caused a great deal of noise, both from other rooms and from passersby on the street. Furthermore, it wasn't possible to raise the blinds without being completely exposed, which compromised privacy and natural light. The cleanliness was adequate, but the room smelled musty. On the first day, a towel was missing, which we only received after requesting it. According to the hotel's rules, rooms should be cleaned daily (even though towels were changed every three days). However, no one came to clean at any point during our stay. There was also no sign indicating that cleaning was required, so we relied on the written rules. When I informed the accommodation contact on the third day, I received no response. For accommodation that charges over €200 per night, one expects a much higher level of service and customer care. This is an aspect they should definitely improve.

Excellent location for reaching the city center and the most beautiful areas of Madrid. The rooms are well-organized and cleaned every day. Technology and tranquility are a perfect combination. I recommend it any time of year.

Room number E was very nice. Yolanda provided exquisite service, very kind and friendly; she was the best part of the establishment. I'll definitely be back for the morning coffee. It was a spectacular experience, and my friend and I will be back. Thank you for everything.

I loved it. Super clean, easy to access (you enter with a code), and the cleaning lady was attentive and friendly. They have complimentary coffee, which is a nice bonus. I would definitely return.

Essential Tips for Choosing Your Stay

Selecting a hotel in a foreign country requires a bit more thought than just looking at the price tag. The La Romana area has a specific rhythm, and your accommodation should complement your travel style. By considering a few key factors before you book, you can avoid common pitfalls such as unexpected transport costs or mismatched expectations regarding amenities.

Understand the Real Distance: "Near Casa de Campo" can mean a five-minute drive to the entrance or a thirty-minute drive to the marina. Always check the exact location on a map relative to your primary activities. If you plan to visit the Altos de Chavón amphitheater frequently, staying in central La Romana is fine. However, if your goal is diving in Bayahibe, look for hotels further east to minimize daily travel time.

Prioritize Transportation Access: Ride-sharing apps are not as prevalent or reliable here as in major global capitals. You will likely rely on hotel taxis or local motoconchos (motorcycle taxis). Before booking, ask the hotel if they offer shuttle services to Casa de Campo or the beach. Having a concierge who can arrange a trusted driver is often worth the slightly higher nightly rate.

Consider the "All-Inclusive" Trade-off: While an all-inclusive hotel might seem like the easiest option, it often keeps you dining on-site and away from the excellent local restaurants in La Romana. If you are a foodie, choose a bed-and-breakfast or boutique hotel. You will save money on the room rate and can spend it on authentic cuisine like fresh lobster in Bayahibe or traditional sancocho in town.

Check the Beach Access: Not every hotel near Casa de Campo has a swimmable beach directly on the property. Some are located on rocky cliffs or in the city center. If stepping from your room onto the sand is a priority, focus your search on the Bayahibe/Dominicus area. If you prefer a stunning pool and are happy to drive to the beach, a city hotel might offer better value.

Read Recent Reviews for Noise Levels: The Dominican Republic is a lively place, and local culture includes music and celebration. If you are a light sleeper, look for hotels that specifically mention soundproofing or are located away from main roads and local colmados (corner stores). A hotel that looks perfect in photos can be ruined by a nearby late-night bar, so check the most recent guest feedback for mentions of noise.

Choosing to stay outside the gates of Casa de Campo is an invitation to see a different side of the Dominican Republic. It is a chance to support local businesses, interact with the community, and discover that luxury can be found in the most unexpected places—a quiet courtyard, a perfectly mixed cocktail, or a view of the Chavón River.

No matter which property you select from our list, you are positioning yourself for an unforgettable Caribbean experience. Take the time to match the hotel’s character with your own travel personality, and you will find that the area around Casa de Campo is not just a place to sleep, but a destination worth exploring in its own right.
