Waking up near Casa de Campo puts you in one of Madrid’s most expansive green lungs, yet the surrounding neighborhoods offer far more than just fresh air and walking trails. The area stretching from the Latina district toward the Manzanares River has quietly become a hub for slow mornings, specialty coffee, and inventive brunch plates. Whether you are a local resident or a visitor staying nearby, the first meal of the day here can set the tone for a perfect urban escape.
The dining scene around Casa de Campo blends traditional Spanish breakfast customs with modern international trends. You can still find the classic tomato toast with olive oil, but you will also encounter fluffy pancakes, poached eggs, and artisanal sourdough. This variety means families, couples, and solo diners can all find a table that suits their pace and palate. The proximity to the park also encourages a relaxed, unhurried approach to morning dining.
Because Casa de Campo itself is largely a recreational area, the best breakfast spots are located just beyond its eastern and northern edges. Neighborhoods such as Puerta del Ángel, Lucero, and Alto de Extremadura are walkable from the park entrances. These zones retain a genuine, residential character, so you will be eating alongside locals rather than navigating crowded tourist traps. That local atmosphere often translates into better service and more honest pricing.
Accessibility is another advantage of this area. The metro and bus connections near Lago, Batán, and Puerta del Ángel stations make it easy to reach a quality café within minutes. Many of the best venues are tucked into quiet side streets, offering a peaceful contrast to the bustling center of Madrid. You can pair your breakfast with a morning walk around the lake or a visit to the Madrid Zoo before the crowds arrive.
When choosing where to eat, consider what kind of morning you want. Some places excel at quick, high-quality coffee and a pastry, while others are designed for long, social brunches with friends. The best spots often combine both, allowing you to grab a bar seat for a fast bite or settle into a dining room for a more substantial meal. Weekends tend to be busier, so arriving before 11 a.m. is wise.
The ingredients used by these local kitchens reflect a growing commitment to quality. You will find eggs from nearby farms, seasonal fruit, freshly baked bread, and coffee roasted in small batches. This focus on sourcing means the flavors are often brighter and more satisfying than what you would find at a standard chain. It also supports the neighborhood economy and keeps the food scene vibrant.
Below is a curated list of the ten best breakfast and brunch options near Casa de Campo. Each one has been selected for its consistency, atmosphere, and ability to satisfy a range of morning cravings. Use this guide to find your new favorite spot, whether you want a quiet table for one or a lively gathering place for your whole group.

Wonderful decoration. Impressive latte art which is copying my friend’s outfit!! Very sweet coffee of course. They make fresh juices from the squeezing machine. Food looks good and tastes good.
Highly recommended.

Cutest cafe. Very welcoming. The coffee was yum and we got the most adorable designs on the coffee. We also asked for a personalised one as a memory for our girls trip and were surprised with an amazing design. Definitely recommended if your in Madrid 🤌🏼

One of the best brunch spots I’ve visited in a long time. The cappuccino was exceptional—smooth, rich, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented with the cutest Luffy latte art. Every detail felt thoughtfully crafted ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommend it!!!

One of the best eggs Benedict I’ve had! Perfectly cooked poached eggs. The miso and sichuan oil were a great combination and can’t miss it. We also had the avocado toast with truffle sauce which was great as well. The açaí smoothie was fresh and refreshing too. We ended with an almond cake which was awesome, highly recommend this place!
Kremena Ivanova★★★★★
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was wonderful, warm and welcoming, and our waitress was absolutely lovely and made the whole experience even better. She was so friendly, attentive and kind.
I had the bacon sandwich and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place! ❤️

Thanks Jason for the brilliant service. The Cantonese style scrambled eggs were some of the best I’ve ever had and the ‘soft’ cortado as this cafe cutely calls it was perfection. Brazilian coffee beans brewed just right. Come a bit earlier in the day so you don’t need to wait in line. Interiors are also so charming.
Brianna Pedraza★★★★★
Busy restaurant and there can be a line, but don’t stress and don’t let that deter you from waiting. The wait doesn’t take long! The service here is fantastic, quick and genuine. Very good food and coffee as well. We were very happy with this place and would came back! Thanks to server Cami for helping us have a good experience here

Beautiful place with a truly magical atmosphere. I absolutely loved the interior design, the vibe, and the overall feeling of the space. It is one of those places where you instantly feel relaxed and want to stay longer. The staff and service were also excellent, very friendly and attentive.
We especially loved the matcha with coconut water. It was delicious and definitely something I would order again.
As for the food, it was just okay. We tried the scrambled eggs with avocado and the eggs Benedict. The brunch dishes were decent, but not particularly memorable. Still, I would definitely come back for the atmosphere and would love to try some of the pastries or cakes next time.

We came to eat breakfast here because my daughter is a big fan of acai bowls.
We didn't have to wait.
The husband had the turkish eggs, but he was talking all day about his expresso ☕️, he really liked it. It's hard to satisfy his palate when is about coffee.
I ordered a The Nordic Toast with salmon and avocado and it was delicious.
They have fresh juices and coconut water.
The server was quick and attentive.
It's hard to find parking on the street, but we parked 4 blocks away in a paid parking.

I recently had breakfast at a local gem that truly sets the bar high for both food and service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—warm smiles, quick seating, and attentive without ever being overbearing.
The menu had a great mix of classic favorites and creative twists. Everything we ordered arrived fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The acai bowl is delicious and a great start for the day, the eggs cooked exactly as requested, and the coffee is a must. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to make recommendations. They checked in just the right amount and made sure we had everything we needed.
If you’re looking for a breakfast spot with amazing food and exceptional service, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

Excellent vegan-friendly spot near Retiro. The staff were incredibly kind and the atmosphere is very relaxing, ideal for long conversations. The coffee art was a great touch, and the food (especially the pancakes) was fresh and beautifully presented. Highly recommended for a chill brunch!

Had an amazing experience at Coco Social House! The aesthetic is beautiful and creates such a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Turkish eggs and the Tropical Matcha, and both were delicious. The Turkish eggs were full of flavor, and the Tropical Matcha was refreshing and unique. The servers were also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Madrid!

What a great brunch spot! Walking in during the very late morning on a Friday in September, I got a seat right away. The space is small, but they use the space well to fit a handful of small tables.
The server was very quick and friendly. He recommended the chilaquiles with beef and wow. It was excellent as was the pistachio latte. I’d definitely go back!

What a wonderful find in the heart of La Latina! Cocuiza is a charming, quaint brunch spot where it’s immediately clear that real time, care, and attention go into every dish. Everything we tried was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, with interesting flavour combinations that were both creative and absolutely delicious.
The recommendations were excellent and made the whole experience even better. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain everything perfectly, which added such a personal touch to our visit.
A truly special little place with fantastic food, unique flavours, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back!
Emmett Grames★★★★★
Surprisingly large portions, be ready to share if you order one of the pancake stacks. Really good food, fresh drinks, and service, the prices are a bit higher but for the quantity and quality it really is worth it. The staff were very friendly. We got there early on a Sunday, but if you plan to go mid-morning you might want to call ahead and reserve a table, they were very busy when we left, with a line out the door.
Olivia Seward★★★★★
Best breakfast place in Madrid. If you care about food…come here!! The pancakes were the best I’ve ever had in my life- perfect flavor and perfect texture. The hash browns were also great too. I will be coming back to try more on the menu. Also mentioning there’s self serve water which is great!! So happy we found this spot.
Sarah Terry★★★★★
I got the watermelon juice & sweet salty chicken. This is way better than any chicken & waffles I’ve had in the USA. Amazing. Great sauce& flavor. I like the coleslaw on it too. It was very busy so I would recommend making a reservation.

Very good brunch and food in general.
Try the cheesecake!!!
Kind and helpful staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Good location. Very good price.

There’s a lovely terrace that’s perfect for summertime, and inside there’s a super comfortable couch that makes it great for relaxing. The food offers really good value for money, the coffee is great, and the pastries are absolutely amazing. I’d definitely recommend it for brunch or just a nice coffee break. The service can be a bit slow at times, but overall it’s pretty good. I go there often!
Maho Hernández★★☆☆☆
I don't know why this place is popular...
Let's start with the service. There were enough waiters to be attentive to the customers. Around 15 minutes it took to take our order, and the treatment was horrifying. All hectic all the time, throwing the plates and interrupting while asking the order.
Then, the place is so small, that you will never be comfortable. So expect being bumped by people passing by you or with other chairs behind you.
And last, the food. Let's start with the menu:
How is it that they offer you two "brunch menus" so if you don't want that amount of food, you have to take it either way because at the end the price won't change.
Then, we ordered the shashuka and roast beef sandwich. They were OK, but forget to actually taste the roast beef as they paired it up with a strong taste bread and sauce, which made the taste of the roast beef to disappeared. We also had the nutella waffle, but we were so desperate to leave that I forgot yo take a picture to it.
Overall, disappointment... The name of the restaurant it's actually very appropriate for the experience: Bendita Locura...
Julie M. Kjendlie★★★★★
Went for the Classic as it was more choices and value for money. Basically, gained the juice and the French toast for €5 more. That said, it was more than I could handle alone and it would have been good to go with company to share.
The server was helpful pulling up an English menu on her phone as I was struggling with connection.
I particularly enjoyed that they used onsen tamago (slow cooked eggs Japanese way) instead of poached egg for the eggs benedict. Unexpected and it worked well.

This place is great for brunch! It was 20 euros for a latte, chia pudding, and a main. I am assuming that the other mains tasted good because I got the chicken and waffles and it was terrible. I could not finish it. It made me so sad because I LOVE WAFFLES, but the waffles was way too sweet and tasted very artificially vanilla. The texture was stale and the fried chicken on top was kind of Asian? Almost like sweet and sour. I had a lovely experience and I LOVED the pink latte but PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES! My friend ordered the shakshuka and liked it so maybe go with that.

Best brunch / breakfast we had in Madrid. 4 of us booked and it was nice and quiet with a cosy and bright atmosphere. Plenty of space and loads of natural light. Staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Food was delicious and we all went the for the menu option. Mimosas were great and only a €!!!! Coffee was lovely and we all had a great time. Cheesecake was to die for. Can’t recommend this place enough.

If you are looking for an incredible meal with top-tier service, this is the place.
The Burger: Absolutely incredible. It was cooked perfectly al punto (medium) and literally felt like it melted in your mouth.
The Smoked Salmon Tostada: Amazing flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared.
The Pancakes: Fluffy, delicious, and a total hit.
The Service: The staff here are incredibly warm and welcoming. A special shoutout to our waitress, Dani, who was absolutely amazing and made our experience even better.
This place is highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

This was THE BEST brunch ever period.
EVERY SINGLE THING on the menu is absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection, including the ice cold fresh juices ( the green juice is the best Ive ever had I drank 3 very fast ) / chilled still water / All the coffee beverages are a home run you cannot go wrong.
I highly recommend ordering one of everything plus fries and extra sides of the hollandaise sauce for dipping.
The service was excellent, professional, warm, friendly and fast.
The atmosphere is so comfortable upbeat and welcoming, good music such an excellent place to hang out with friends and eat delicious food!!

Carmencita is an awesome brunch spot, the staff is super friendly, the dishes come out really well served and fairly priced, the Cris Crust was delicious, and the side yogurt bowl (included in the price) had amazingly fresh fruit and homemade granola that tasted incredible, making it one of those places in Madrid you leave already planning to come back.

I was looking for a brunch place in Madrid that had outdoor seating so I can take in the views of the city. This was such a cute brunch place, great vibes, and the food was delicious. My server Alexis was very helpful and attentive. He served me water and made sure I was comfortable while I waited for my outside table, and he had it ready for me as soon as they were done eating. Highly recommend this place 🙂

Searched online for the best pancake stack and this one came up on top with 4.9 stars. Quaint place with some cool and unusual art decor, creating a warm and comfy space. We only ordered 2 pancake stacks and a coffee, which were delicious. Our waitress was Romina, and she was friendly and accommodating despite our lack of spanish. Our food took very long to come out despite the place being quiet. The bright side to this is thay we did not feel rushed at all. Another cute thing they do, is to present the bill in an egg box. Loved that. A very memorable experience.
Winnie Li★★★★☆
It’s a really cute cafe, I like the Egg Benedict, especially the potato inside! You can enjoy a good time here. Only small improvement is that for the mushroom toast is a bit dry for me. Overall it’s highly recommended for relaxing here~
Thank you the staff, Alan, is really nice ✨ providing the good service.
We have a good time here.

Elena Sandru★★☆☆☆
We went there as a couple only looking for some great cocktails (one of their strongest points) and sweets.
Ainoha who served us was very accommodating and willing to go above and beyond. 5 stars for her.
What we did not appreciate - hence my low rating:
- we had to wait at least 20 minutes. For good restaurants that’s understandable. However there were 4 seats available upstairs (two at the bar, two at a free table). 5 people waiting before us, none of them seated - nor us - at these free seats. When we finally got seated downstairs there were two other free tables with 4 more free seats.
- the cocktail guy (or girl 🤍) was free today. So they had no cocktails. Unacceptable for such a busy place in the middle of Madrid
- we had two of the menu’s stars: the pistachio pancakes and the cinnamon rolls. The pancakes were a disappointment for me - three pancakes, good looking, with a bit of pistachio frosting and icecream on top. But tasteless otherwise. I would not recommend. I appreciated the roll - very sweet for my husband yet ok for me.
- very difficult to drink coffee out of the very nice looking cups
I would definitely not recommend nor come again.

This breakfast spot was absolutely incredible!! We just needed a place that opened early before we left for the airport, and we were very happy for an 8am opening. My daughter had the burger (yes, for breakfast, and she wasn’t the only one!) and I had the French toast. I didn’t get to taste the burger because it was completely gone before I had a chance to ask for a bite. But the French toast, besides the beautiful display, came with a little scoop of ice cream that nicely replaced the need for syrup, plus fresh strawberries and blueberries and a caramelized banana. The details were so nicely done. Even my cappuccino was so beautifully crafted! I cannot recommend this place enough. Every food item that came out to other tables looks delicious and I’m sending my other daughter here when she studies in Madrid next semester!
Juan Campo★★★★☆
It’s a popular tourist spot, so it’s usually bustling with visitors, partly because of its reputation and the hype surrounding it. The atmosphere is lively, but it definitely feels quite touristy.
The food is decent overall, although the menu leans heavily toward desserts. One thing I didn’t particularly like is their practice of encouraging customers to leave a five-star review at the end of the meal. When it seems to be a standard part of the experience, it takes away some of the authenticity and usefulness of the reviews when deciding whether to visit. The approach to tipping also felt a bit excessive.
Overall, the food is decent, but considering the crowds and potential wait, I’m not sure the experience is worth the hype.
Sarah Dettmann★★★★★
Brunch here ! Such a good spot. Amazing food, service, and I loved the vibes/ decor.
The salmon Benedict was super fresh, and the potato waffle with truffle mushroom is a must if you love mushrooms. The Pistachio Obsession café was creamy, aesthetic, and honestly so good.
Alejandro gave great service, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Would definitely go back.
The Foodie Crusader★★★★★
This place had a bit of a wait, but i think it was worth it. Its very nice and cozy inside. The staff is nice and friendly. The food was excellent. The latte was delicious. The Spanish omelet was super yummy. It basically reminds me of potatoes au gratin wrapped with a thin sheet of egg. I got mine with pork belly and it was delicious and filling for me. We ordered the French toast by mistake but it worked out for us. It was absolutely delicious. The toast was soft, sweet, and flavorful, the ice cream and fresh berries made it all come together nicely. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back, and i would make this a must visit.

OMG. This place is so nice. Came here for Sunday brunch at 1:15pm. It was busy but there were several tables free. I was sat immediately.

Great place for brunch, will go again. The food is really good, the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The staff is nice, very polite. The atmosphere is typical brunch place, full around the time we went, 11-12, but no wait time as 1 table seem to always be free as soon as new people came. I would also like to mention that the coffee is surprisingly good, most brunch places have average coffee, but this one has such good coffee you would think it's the main product. Congrats to the entire team for the work ethic and attention to details. P.S. They have pictures for the food and it comes looking exactly like the pictures.

The BEST brunch spot! The special for 20€ had so much food that you could probably share with another person. Everything was so fresh, portions were great, and coffee was fantastic.

Lovely place for brunch, I had the kimchi bagel with chicken. Best bagel I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. On the menu you can scan a Qr code for pictures of each dish, and it will come out looking as beautiful as on the picture. 10/10 recommend.

We were rushing to get to the Royal Palace on Tuesday morning and we were in dire need of some breakfast after a long day of travel the night before. We looked up some reviews and saw this place at a 4.9 and I honestly think it should have a perfect five. We had what we thought was the best breakfast we had in our 18 days of Europe here. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, presented well, And very tasty. The service was quick and once we told the waiter that we were in a rush, we were in and out in about 40 min, which is exactly what we needed to do. There are only about 15 tables in the restaurant and it is a small intimate venue but the location is almost perfect if you're looking for a place to stop or visiting the Royal Palace of Madrid. Definitely consider it if you are in the area.
Jacky Wu★★★★★
The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. The pho was rich and comforting, the spring rolls were fresh and crispy, and the service was warm and attentive. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and everything felt clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed my dining experience here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

This place is so famous in Madrid. The dishes are simply perfect, they have the right balance between softness and consistency, making them absolutely irresistible. Plus, the taste is incredible and really so high quality on the ingredients
The atmosphere is so chill, and the service is friendly. One of the best pancake experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommended! When I return to Madrid, I’ll definitely visit again.
Tips for Enjoying Breakfast Near Casa de Campo
A little planning can make your morning meal near the park even more enjoyable. The area is easy to navigate, but a few local insights will help you avoid long waits and make the most of your visit. These practical tips come from observing how the neighborhood’s best breakfast spots operate throughout the week.
1. Arrive early on weekends. Most popular brunch spots fill up by 11:30 a.m., especially on Saturdays and Sundays. Arriving between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. gives you the best chance of getting a table without a reservation.
2. Walk from the park when possible. If you are already at Casa de Campo, enter through the Puerta del Ángel or Batán side. You will reach many of these cafés within ten to fifteen minutes on foot, and the walk helps build an appetite.
3. Ask about the day’s specials. Many kitchens rotate their brunch offerings based on what is fresh at the market. A daily special is often the best value and the most interesting dish on the menu.
4. Bring cash for smaller cafés. While most places accept cards, a few traditional bars near Alto de Extremadura still prefer cash for small orders like coffee and a pastry. Having a twenty-euro note on hand avoids any awkward moments.
5. Combine breakfast with a park activity. Eating a lighter meal first and then taking a walk around the lake or renting a bike creates a more balanced morning. Save the heavier brunch for after your exercise, when you will appreciate it more.
6. Check opening hours before you go. Some breakfast-focused spots close by early afternoon, while others transition to a lunch menu. A quick phone check or social media glance can prevent a wasted trip.
The beauty of breakfast near Casa de Campo is that it never feels rushed or overly commercial. You can linger over a second coffee, read a book, or simply watch the neighborhood wake up. That sense of calm is rare in a city the size of Madrid, and it makes the area worth exploring even if you are staying in a different district.
Whether you are fueling up before a day of sightseeing or recovering from a long walk through the park, these breakfast and brunch spots deliver quality without pretense. The combination of local character, accessible locations, and honest cooking makes this corner of Madrid one of the most underrated morning destinations in the city.
