Honfleur’s cobbled lanes, slate-fronted houses, and bustling Vieux Bassin make it one of Normandy’s most photographed harbours. But beyond the galleries and the glinting yachts, there is a deeply satisfying, unpretentious food culture waiting to be explored. You do not need a white tablecloth or a reservation weeks in advance to eat well here.
Fast food in Honfleur does not mean sacrificing local character or quality. It means crisp frites served in paper cones, galettes folded around molten cheese, and baguettes stuffed with produce from the surrounding Pays d’Auge. These are quick, affordable meals designed to fuel a day of sightseeing without slowing you down.
Because the town welcomes a steady flow of visitors year-round, competition among casual eateries is strong. That is good news for you: the standard is high, and the weak spots rarely survive. Locals know which counters use real butter, which bakers bake their bread twice a day, and which kebab shops slice their meat from a proper rotating spit.
This guide focuses on speed, flavour, and authenticity rather than formal dining. Every recommendation has been chosen because it delivers something worth eating, whether you have ten minutes between museum visits or want a relaxed bite overlooking the water. No endless menus, no tourist-trap markups, just honest food served fast.
We have walked the streets, checked the queues, and tasted the sauces so you can order with confidence. The spots below cover crêperies, bakeries, burger joints, and international quick-service kitchens, all within easy reach of the main sights. You will find options for families, solo travellers, and anyone avoiding a long lunch.
Here is our curated shortlist of the best fast food spots in Honfleur right now.

Very tasty dinner for a good price. There is food for vegans. The worker tried to tell us something in Ukrainian which is very nice.

Asmir Ramic★☆☆☆☆
Very rude staff member, poor customer service. They Ignored everything we asked, interrupted us while we were making the order and didn't allow us to finish sentences, simply left the food on table and got back behind the counter. 👎👎👎

Excellent restaurants if you don't have time. This döner is brand new and the price are affordable. I recommend the tacos: made with a cheesy sauce, they are incredible

Quiet when we visited, stopped off for a bite to eat from the breakfast menu. Staff were lovely and friendly. Place was clean and tidy. Small car park with drive through. Contained 'adventure' play area for small children within covered seating area.
Bart Jongenotter★★☆☆☆
It's a McDonald's, what else is there to say. It was convenient. The fries tasted like salted cardboard, the burgers were okay, the nuggets still contained pieces that didn't come across as suitable for human consumption. The milkshake cafe tasted more like vanilla with a hint of coffee. The strawberry one somehow like bubblegum. Ah, and there is a fast charger, in case you need it. I hope it was the last time we needed to stop at one.
Ben Fitzpatrick★★★★★
Best McDonald’s I’ve ever been in. Clean, cheesy chips was great, outdoor area was well designed and well kept. Great children’s play area.

Having arrived late evening in our hotel we were amazed to find this little gem of a burger bar in Honfleur. The burgers were outstanding and the fries a delight. You can see the ingredients and watch the whole cooking process, everything is homemade and the taste is well worth the 12€ for a burger and fries.

Holy cow ...had the munchies and grabbed a "hot dog" mainly because it was the smallest sandwich on display and man alive, it was some kind of amazing roll with a sweet onion relish, chucks of some kind of delicious sausage and a creamy, gooey Italian cheese. The best fast food I've had in France!
Briana Pavlich★★★★★
Really lovely sandwich shop, the lady who served us was so sweet and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend the hot sandwiches. I only wish we had ordered more chocolate chip cookies.

Did a quick stop ahead of our tour in Honfleur and vegetarian baguette + the ingredients inside taste very fresh, quickly served and easy to have for lunch

Visited today. The food tasted good, but i had a hard time ordering food because they don't speak english! But they're helpful and kind.
Ryan Williams★★★★★
Greeted with a warm welcome and thankfully the staff spoke English. Food was good value and coffee was great!
Very cool vibe and good choices of sandwiches and desserts.
Visited while stopping off to charge the car on a very long journey so was a welcome break.
pauline blandin★★☆☆☆
Really quite average. The orange juice is good. However, the Dubai waffle isn't even fresh, it's mass-produced! The smoothies are extremely expensive for what they are.
Milie Ledu★★☆☆☆
Honestly, for a first visit on Saturday, May 2nd, it was just okay. The sandwiches were nice and hot, which was great, but there was hardly anything in the bread or the wraps—it's a disgrace for €10.90! And the service left much to be desired; the staff were really unfriendly. We were really disappointed. Plus, they didn't even offer us a little sauce... I don't think I'll be back unless there's a discount, because frankly, I was extremely disappointed.
Mei li★★☆☆☆
I'm here now, and I ordered a large matcha to go. Look at the size they gave me! I asked the woman if that was the actual size, and apparently it was. For me, that's not a large size. It's really borderline, especially considering the price. They need to reconsider.

Can’t complain m, the cocktails are strong the portion are the right size. Good simple food when you aren’t craving seafood in Honfleur.
Chris Mac★☆☆☆☆
Greasy disgusting undercooked burger and equally greasy chips. Do yourself a favour and walk to the next cafe along.
Lee CONNOLLY★★★★★
For a simple coffee, a snack or lunch or for an apéro, I can but recommend Chez Juju. Paninis, American sandwich, coffee, drinks, great Value for money - 5 ⭐️ and service/accueil - 6 ⭐️. Not a tourist trap. We will be back 😊

Friendly service despite my poor French and being busy. Hot dog and frites €10.50, very fresh and tasty for a quick lunch. Going back later for a crepe. Thank you!

Lovely dinner here tonight, sat out in the sunshine on the outdoor tables. The host was very friendly and keen to help, and the food options were varied and interesting. 2 great vegetarian options (out of 5 total options!) so definitely vegetarian friendly. The meals were full of vegetables, tasted fresh and were made using seasonal ingredients. Drinks and desserts were tasty and local too! Highly recommend this little gem ☺️
Ema Husníková★★★★★
A wonderful experience in the heart of Honfleur
Restaurant Sauvage is a true gem – beautiful setting, friendly staff, and excellent food. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked main course, a light and tasty poke bowl, and delicious desserts. We were especially impressed by the Duo cerise estragon – an original and beautifully balanced dessert that’s a treat for both the taste buds and the eyes.
A lovely surprise was the homemade cider – well-balanced and perfectly complementing the meal. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent. We highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates honest, creative cuisine with character and heart.
A H★★★★★
An incredible place. They mostly cater for take away orders but if you are lucky enough to spot a free table (one inside and two outside) go for it! The menu changes weekly, produce is local and organic and comes from the chef's parents garden; you can also taste apple cider and juice produced by his father. The food was simply scrumptious, so so delicious. A separate note on the place design, it is slick and minimalistic-ly chic. Highly recommend
hundreddragons★★★★★
During my recent business trip, I stumbled upon a hidden gem of a restaurant that caught my attention on Google. With only two tables, this intimate spot offers a thoughtfully curated menu featuring meat, vegetarian, and fish dishes. Although it lacks the extensive setup of larger establishments, the chef’s dedication to crafting each dish is evident in the flavors. Don’t miss the ultimate highlight: the French toast dessert, which is absolutely top-notch and worth the visit alone.
Matt Scheinman★★★★★
Incredible restaurant with a rotating menu and great concept. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in Honfleur, especially those seeking creative and inspired takes using local ingredients. We had a wonderful experience and cannot recommend enough.

I had a nice break overnight with my truck because of this pizza machine 😂 .
Pizza was really good ! I choosed the one with curry chicken . Also you will have a wooden knife inside to cut it . Brilliant! 😂🤷🏻♂️
Arkadiusz Kossakowski★☆☆☆☆
I would like to say something good about this place and the pizza machine, but I was disappointed because I wasn't able to buy the pizza I like because there was only one to choose from among 11 items. A bit weak.
Fred Do (FredDo)★★★★★
Convenient, simple, and a big plus: the loyalty program.
The pizzas are fresh. There's a good selection with 12 different pizzas. In fact, they're better than those at some pizzerias.
I recommend it for getting hot pizzas quickly.

Psytrance Spirit★★★★☆
We tested three uncooked pizzas to take away and heat at home, photos included for those who are curious 😉
The Fondue pizza was quite good, but I'm not a fan of oregano in this recipe; it masks the taste of the cheeses and bacon, which I think is a shame. You either like it or you don't, so try it for yourself.
We really enjoyed the Goat Cheese and Honey pizza. A few walnuts on top would be a nice addition. Just a suggestion, you'll see it's even better.
The Normande is a four-cheese style pizza, and we liked this one too.
If you get your pizzas uncooked, be careful with the timing and the oven temperature. At 220°C (425°F), the pizza crust is very crispy. Next time, we'll try a lower temperature for a slightly softer crust. And don't bake them for more than 5 minutes, otherwise, the crust will be too hard.
As for the vending machine, it's easy to use, clean, and even offers some reading material while you wait for your pizza.
The little wooden knife included in the box is perfect.
As a bonus, the loyalty code is great for future orders, and I've never seen that on other vending machines (pizza or even bread).
The receipt can be sent directly by email. That's the second bonus: it saves paper, and you're sure not to lose it or leave it lying around in your pocket or glove compartment.
julien bessin★☆☆☆☆
I nearly tore my knee! A lovely opening in their rusty street furniture, a thick wire sticking out, and so... well, you cancel your order, go home and disinfect yourself, ciao bye bye, thanks for the welcome
Caro Perso★★★★☆
Very good. Beautiful and very good pizzas.
We recommend the Dracula!
Excellent, fast service.
Small areas for improvement for me (and a small drawback for my girlfriend):
- hot sauce upon request
- include a drink... with or without alcohol...☺️
- put your logo and contact information on the pizza boxes and encourage people to leave a review.
This is the first time I've done this at 46 years old, such a good experience, the excellent value for money, and... it made our evening all over again! We even met people at my box, it was great!
Fred Do (FredDo)★★★★★
The pizza selection is extensive. The prices are very reasonable, and frankly, I wasn't disappointed by the quality.
Very useful when you suddenly get a craving for a good pizza.
Mélanie B.★★★★★
Great experience! We were a little hesitant about pizza boxes, but it was a really nice discovery. The pizzas were very good; we had a Dracula and a Fondue.
They could have used a little chili oil.

Terrible service and very expensive for what you get: when we ordered two géant sandwiches and two coffees to takeaway, I didn’t expect to have to wait for over 30 minutes to receive them, especially after paying a total of 60€ for the order! Once they finally brought the sandwiches out, we also had to remind them that they had forgotten our 8€ coffees… the sandwiches themselves were ok, but certainly not good value for money, especially with the terrible service. The place wasn’t even that busy when we ordered. Would not recommend.
Ralf Weissbeck★★★★★
Excellent Bagels in Honfleur! We can only recommend it and the service was super nice! Just one tip for the owner: Other guests next to us didn‘t understand the principle as it was only written in French - an English version or some pictures would help! Anyhow we helped them out and they really liked it as well.
Esther Zaman★★★☆☆
Nice Place, cool setting and lovely location. Smoothie with water is too watery, fruit taste is not strong enough anymore. Bagels were covered on top with a sauce so couldn’t eat it with hands.

Tips for Choosing the Best Fast Food in Honfleur
A little local knowledge goes a long way when you are hungry and surrounded by tempting storefronts. These practical tips will help you avoid common tourist mistakes, find the freshest food, and eat like someone who knows the town well. Keep them in mind as you explore the streets around the harbour and beyond.
Avoid the immediate harbour-front counters for fries. The terraces directly on the Vieux Bassin are lovely for a drink, but their takeaway frites are often frozen and priced for the view. Walk two or three streets back toward the rue Haute or the covered market area, where the same meal often costs less and tastes noticeably fresher.
Look for “fait maison” on blackboards. In France, this label is legally protected and means the dish is prepared on-site from raw ingredients. If you see it outside a crêperie, burger bar, or sandwich shop, you are far more likely to get a meal made with care rather than reheated catering food.
Time your visit before 12:15 or after 14:00. Honfleur’s lunch rush is intense, especially on weekends and market days. Arriving just before the main wave means shorter queues, hotter food, and a better chance of grabbing a stool or a spot on a bench near the water.
Ask for the local cheese or apple option. Normandy is famous for Camembert, Pont-l’Évêque, and Livarot. Many fast food spots offer a local twist, such as a burger with melted Camembert or a crêpe flambéed with Calvados. Choosing these regional upgrades instantly improves your meal.
Carry a little cash. While most places accept cards, a few small crêpe stands, market stalls, and family-run bakeries still prefer cash for purchases under ten euros. A twenty-euro note in your pocket saves you from missing out on a perfect mid-afternoon snack.
Honfleur rewards those who step away from the most obvious tourist path. A quick lunch here can still be a memorable part of your trip, especially when you choose a place that respects local ingredients and traditional recipes. The town moves at a relaxed pace, but your meal does not have to be slow to be excellent.
Take your food to the Jardin des Personnalités or find a quiet spot along the old port’s eastern quay. With the right snack in hand, you will understand why Honfleur has charmed painters, sailors, and hungry travellers for centuries.
