While the French Riviera is often associated with Michelin-starred dining, white tablecloths, and leisurely multi-course lunches, there is another side to Cannes that is just as satisfying for those on the go. Whether you are rushing between film screenings during the festival, heading to the beach for the day, or simply trying to keep the family fed without breaking the bank, the city offers a surprisingly robust fast food scene. The modern culinary landscape here has evolved far beyond the traditional croque-monsieur, blending French gastronomic standards with the speed and convenience of casual dining.
Finding a quick meal in a city that prides itself on luxury can be tricky if you do not know where to look. You want to avoid the overpriced tourist traps along the Croisette that serve mediocre paninis at inflated prices. Instead, you need to know which local institutions serve high-quality burgers, authentic Mediterranean wraps, or perfectly crispy fried chicken with the efficiency required for a busy schedule. That is where local knowledge becomes essential, separating a memorable meal from a regrettable one.
The beauty of the fast food landscape in Cannes is its diversity. Because the city is a cultural melting pot, you can find everything from classic American-style smash burgers to Lebanese shawarma and traditional French bakeries offering quick savory options. The best spots prioritize fresh ingredients, often sourcing produce from the nearby Provençal markets, ensuring that even a "quick bite" maintains a standard of quality that the region is famous for.
To help you navigate the options, we have focused on venues that offer a combination of speed, flavor, and value. These are the places where locals actually go when they don’t have time to cook but still want something delicious. They are perfect for grabbing a bite to take down to the sand, refueling after a long day of shopping on Rue d’Antibes, or satisfying a late-night craving.
In this guide, we have curated a list that spans various categories, from gourmet burger joints to healthy salad bars and authentic kebab houses. Each entry has been selected for its consistency, hygiene standards, and dedication to customer satisfaction. You won’t find generic global chains dominating this list; instead, we focus on the specific locations that offer a unique taste of Cannes.
Prepare to discover the flavors that keep this glamorous city running. Whether you are a visitor looking for a quick lunch or a local seeking a new favorite spot, these establishments prove that fast food in Cannes can be both convenient and exceptionally tasty.

This man totally deserves to call this place top food. The taco with cheese on top is totally worth it. I genuinely tried countless taco places around Cannes and can say without doubt this place is the best. The owner is such a nice guy. The location is not central but trust me worth the trip.

Yes, they do open that early in the morning (1AM or 2AM IIRC) so not only can you go after the bars, but you can also go first thing in the morning or for lunch. I was introduced to this place last year by a bartender, and I ate a large haul of food while extremely drunk, and it seemed fine.
This time I was sober, and the fast food was still decent and cheap. This time for lunch I had a cheeseburger and a croque monsieur for €8, and a pair of Red Bulls set me back another €5. I enjoyed both. The next morning on the way to the train station I got two croissants and a bottle of water for some nominal amount of money.
The lady who I seem to see working all the time is also extremely friendly and more than willing to work through my ineptitude in speaking French.

I went here for a butter and cheese sandwich, and I was sad to find out that they were out of butter. So I left and had a disappointing sandwich elsewhere. I came back an hour or so before closing, and I'm so glad I did. They had restocked, and I was able to get my sandwich. It was fabulous! The bread was to die for, and there was just the right balance between luxurious butter, rich cheese, and fortifying bread. I'm here for two more days. I'll be back daily!

anna memmer (superfly)★☆☆☆☆
the bread was so dry and hard to chew, tastes like they use a day old baguette. the sandwiches don’t have much inside, two thin tomato slices and two little mozz circles. i would say try a panini or something else, but i cannot recommend this spot.
Olena Pavlyushchik★★★★☆
Sandwich and flan were tasty and prices are good. Ingridients were fresh. The only thing is that sandwich was taken by bare hands when put into package, not hygienic, for this minus one star.

Ordered 3 tacos at 4 AM on Uber Eats for €41. I'm still looking for the cheese sauce. See attached photos.
The worst taco I've ever eaten in my entire life, hands down.
Disrespectful!!!
Lucas Hash★☆☆☆☆
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! A 50-minute wait for two tacos with no sauce, very dry, and two meats that had nothing to do with the order. The tacos weren't even closed, and the hygiene was questionable. A massage from the tax authorities and the health inspectors wouldn't go amiss. P.S.: For drinks, you only have the choice between Fanta and Sprite.
This snack bar deserves to be shut down for good, even if it changes its business registration every year.
Cesar Mendes★☆☆☆☆
I arrived at the restaurant, the man was speaking Arabic and smoking marijuana. I said good evening, and he replied, "Hurry up, I don't have time," and he closed the window on me. Five minutes later, he took my order rudely. I wouldn't recommend anyone eat here.
Nirvan Kaya★☆☆☆☆
At 2 AM, we tried to place an order, but it was all wrong. The taco was smaller than the palm of my hand. We ordered three meals, and none of them came with fries. The orders were completely wrong; they were the exact opposite of what we wanted. I definitely don't recommend them. I tried contacting them, but they didn't answer. 55 euros down the drain.

My husband and I both ordered sandwiches but they didn't have all the ingredients in. I ordered a bufolino which was supposed to have buffalo mozzarella, salad, tomato, pesto, olive oil and balsamic. It didn't have the pesto or tomatoes. My husband ordered a tuna, mayo with salad, but there didn't seem to be any tuna! We would of took them back but we walked to the beach for a picnic so didn't want to walk back. Nice bread, disappointing sandwiches.

In a location surrounded by many other fast food restaurants, I would always go this one. The food is better and more tasty than the others while the price is even cheaper. Our food was prepared on time, the staff was very friendly when we asked if we can change our “take away” to “sur place” and the toilet was clean; something I always review in fast food restaurants :))
The only thing I didn’t like was the decor and the lighting that disturbed my eyes.

The restaurant was very near to sea beach. Very good location. It was raining outside. So we took shelter and decided to have some coffee.

The worst McDonald's ever!!! This was supposed to be a cheeseburger and after pur reaction they just threw cheese into this "burger". Fries cold, soda without ice was with ice. Pigeons take sh*t on the table... Shame, don't come here...

This McDonald has GREAT staff. VERY friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful to someone who does NOT speak French. This McDonald CHANGED MY LIFE. The McDonald in America is the WORST. I thought that it would be the same, but this McDonalds was the best that I have ever been to. And also my life was kinda boring and I didn’t know where to eat most the time. But then, now that i discovered this fine establishment. I now KNOW where to eat everytime I feel bored or lazy because the staff here is AMAZING. 11/10 staff they are the best very kind and friendly and talkative in a good way. Thank you Cannes McDo!!!

We chose this place because that evening (14 July) coincided with the National Day fireworks and the World Cup match between France and Spain, so all the other venues were already full.
We placed our order but were served fewer items; when we asked for an explanation, we were told that the missing items were out of stock… and that the only alternative (only after we complained) was a simple portion of chips, worth far less than what we’d paid at the ordering kiosk.
After a further complaint to the manager, who remained adamant about the replacement, we demanded a refund for the items that hadn’t arrived.
Unfair behaviour
The only positive aspect was its location right on the harbour in Cannes

A solid choice for a quick and affordable meal in the heart of Cannes. I ordered the Guacamole Burger, fries, and a Pepsi Max.
The highlight was definitely the Guacamole Burger — the guacamole added a fresh and creamy texture that gave the burger a great flavor. The fries were crispy, and the portions were satisfying for the price.
Service was fast, and the location is convenient if you’re exploring Cannes.
Overall: Good value for money, tasty burger, and I would definitely recommend the Guacamole Burger. 🍔🥑👍

Taste like home made burger by Mama and grandma. Fries like what I like. Different from your usual fast food joint. Burger is fully customizable. Truly amazing burger 🍔.
Awais Shafiq★★★★★
Tried the Nutella shake at Steak 'n Shake and it absolutely hit the spot. It was rich and thick, just the way a proper milkshake should be. The Nutella flavor really came through without being overly sweet, making every sip satisfying. It was topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream and a cherry on top, which gave it that classic finishing touch.
Nicolai Nielsen★★☆☆☆
Great-looking burgers that promise a lot at first glance. Unfortunately, the buns were cold and the fries lacked crispness. The kitchen seemed overwhelmed, and several items in our order were incorrect.
There’s real potential here, but the execution needs tightening. A smoother process, better coordination, and serving the burgers hot and fresh would make a big difference. With a bit more care and attention, this place could truly live up to its promise.

This McDonald’s is useless. The manager and his team were too busy standing around chatting instead of serving customers. I waited over **30 minutes** for a simple soft-serve ice cream in a cup—**30 minutes!** When I finally went up to ask where it was, they just brushed me off with a lazy *"it’s coming now."* Another **8 minutes** passed, nothing. I had to ask **a second time** before someone actually bothered to make it—which took them all of **10 seconds**.
Worst McDonald’s experience ever. **Avoid this location** unless you enjoy wasting your time watching staff ignore you.

5 stars are not enough – this place deserves a Palme d’Or!
If you’re in Cannes during the Film Festival and don’t stop by this crêperie, did you even go to Cannes? This spot is a hidden gem turned superstar, much like some of the actors walking the red carpet.
The owner? Hilarious. Outrageous. Unforgettable. The kind of character you’d cast in a Wes Anderson movie — or maybe even direct your own indie film around him. He’s got more charisma than some of the folks walking the Croisette.
The crêpes? Incroyables. Light, crispy, buttery perfection. La Kresse – yes, THE Kresse – was divine. I’m still dreaming about it. This isn’t just food, it’s art culinaire.
Keanu Reeves? Quentin Tarantino? Even Amélie (yes, that Amélie) would stand in line here. And they do. Stars actually come here. The queue outside is like a VIP guest list. But no need for a badge – your taste buds are your ticket in.
By night, the place transforms. You eat your crêpe under the stars, and you see stars. Literally. It’s the best dinner show you can imagine: buttery bites and movie lights.
Merci, mon frère, for one of the best food experiences of my life. Je reviendrai. Encore et encore.

We came from Belgium for a week to Cannes. Very rude lady that served us, she litterally stopped talking to us for some minutes because she crashed out. The ‘glaces à l’italienne’ is not a real soft ice that you get. Also they give you very few so it’s not worth the money!

The Le Belphegor burger was absolutely appalling. It was soggy, oily, dripping with water to the point where the bun barely held together. The cheese tasted expired and grainy. The burger was so bad to the point where I had to get the smash burger and that too was almost inedible. Worst burger I’ve ever had. Have no idea how this place has this many good reviews.

Wow! This place is rubbish. Bits and pieces of fries. Cooked frozen beef patties that came out lukewarm and medium rare. Absolutely no idea how this place has a 4.4 rating with 2,700 reviews. Stay far away from this place: the tables are sticky, the burgers are mediocre—just like the sides. The bacon in the burger is rock‑hard, and everything is massively overpriced.
Tips for Enjoying Fast Food in Cannes
To make the most of your casual dining experience in this bustling Riviera city, it helps to understand the local rhythm and customs. Unlike some major capitals where fast food is a 24/7 affair, Cannes operates on a schedule that fluctuates with the tourist season and the famous festival calendar. Knowing how to time your meal and how to order like a local can significantly enhance the quality of your food and the speed of your service.
Time Your Visit Strategically: Cannes operates on a distinct dining schedule. If you want to avoid long lines at popular spots, try to eat lunch before 12:15 PM or after 1:45 PM. During the Cannes Film Festival or major trade shows like MIPIM, the city center becomes incredibly congested; during these times, consider walking a few blocks away from the Croisette to find shorter waits and better prices.
Embrace the "Sur Place" or "À Emporter" Options: Many fast food spots in France charge different prices depending on whether you eat at the counter or take your food away. If you are on a budget, opting for "à emporter" (takeaway) is usually cheaper. Taking your food to a nearby bench overlooking the sea or to the Plage du Midi can be a much more scenic and cost-effective dining experience.
Don’t Skip the Local Sauces: While ketchup and mayo are available, the best fast food spots in Cannes often pride themselves on house-made sauces. Look for options like sauce algérienne (a spicy, creamy North African condiment), garlic cream, or Provençal aioli. These sauces are often what elevate a standard sandwich or kebab into something uniquely French and memorable.
Check for the "Formule" or "Menu" Deals: To get the best value, look for set menus rather than ordering items individually. Most quality fast food establishments offer a "formule" that includes a main item, a side (usually fries or a salad), and a drink for a discounted price. This is almost always cheaper than buying the three items separately and is the standard way locals order lunch.
Order in French, Even a Little: While many staff members in Cannes speak English, especially in tourist-heavy zones, greeting them with a simple "Bonjour" before ordering goes a long way. It is a sign of respect in French culture and often results in friendlier service and a better-prepared meal. A simple "Bonjour, je voudrais…" (Hello, I would like…) will vastly improve your interaction.
The fast food scene in Cannes is a vibrant and essential part of the city’s daily life, offering a refreshing contrast to its glitzy exterior. By stepping away from the white tablecloths and exploring the casual eateries, you get a taste of how the real city lives and eats. It is a world of bold flavors, efficient service, and satisfying comfort food that fuels both the locals and the international jet-setters who pass through.
Ultimately, the best fast food in Cannes respects the French commitment to quality ingredients while acknowledging the modern need for speed. Whether you choose a juicy burger, a fresh falafel wrap, or a slice of pizza, you are participating in a culinary tradition that values taste above all else. So next time you find yourself hungry in this beautiful city, skip the long waits and head to one of these trusted spots for a meal that is quick, affordable, and undeniably delicious.
