Saint-Tropez evokes images of glittering yachts, designer boutiques, and exclusive beach clubs, but beyond the glamour lies a surprisingly warm and welcoming culinary scene for families. While the town is famous for its sophisticated gastronomy, many local restaurants understand that traveling with children requires a different kind of hospitality. The key is knowing where to find spaces that balance authentic Provençal charm with practical amenities and menus that appeal to younger palates.
Dining out with kids in Saint-Tropez does not mean you have to sacrifice quality or atmosphere. Many of the best addresses offer shaded terraces, high chairs, and staff who genuinely welcome little ones, allowing parents to relax and enjoy the local cuisine. From casual beachfront bistros to charming village squares, the options are diverse enough to suit every family’s budget and mood.
The best family-friendly restaurants in this iconic Riviera town share a few common traits: flexible service, quick meal options for impatient diners, and often a bit of space for strollers. You will find that the French approach to dining with children is often more relaxed than expected, especially in establishments that cater to local families year-round. These are places where a dropped fork or a chatty toddler is met with a smile rather than a frown.
This guide focuses on restaurants that combine excellent food with a genuine welcome for families, ensuring that both adults and children leave happy. Whether you are looking for a wood-fired pizza after a morning at the beach or a traditional Provençal meal in a quiet courtyard, Saint-Tropez has something to offer. We have considered factors such as menu variety, outdoor seating, proximity to family-friendly attractions, and the overall ease of the dining experience.
Choosing the right spot can transform a simple meal into a cherished memory of your trip to the French Riviera. Instead of stressing over formal dining etiquette, you can focus on enjoying fresh seafood, local produce, and the vibrant atmosphere that makes Saint-Tropez so special. The following selections represent the best balance of flavor, comfort, and practicality for families visiting this legendary coastal town.
Below is a curated list of the twelve best family-friendly restaurants in Saint-Tropez, each chosen for its welcoming atmosphere, accessible menu, and ability to accommodate diners of all ages.

Great place. Only issue was service compris then pushed towards a tip on card machine. The door was great - you need to add a salad to the steak

My husband and I were only in Saint-Tropez for one day and were lucky enough to get a reservation here. The servers were so incredibly kind and attentive. The food and drinks were lovely. We really enjoyed this meal! Merci Beaucoup!
emily★☆☆☆☆
Let’s start with the positive - the dinner setting is very beautiful and well decorated, with the tables surrounding the pool.
Negatives - we were walked to our table, which was missing a chair, so we waited for that to be brought over (even though we made a reservation for 3 people). We sat down and then within 5 minutes we were asked for our food order, which felt a bit rushed. Service didn’t seem friendly at all. The mains came very quickly, my fish course was okay but lacked flavour, chicken was fine. The tiramisu was so bad, as seen in another review it was like watery cream, with some cocoa powder. Lemon meringue pastry was so hard I had to ask my partner to break it for me!! We told the waitress it wasn’t very good when she asked how everything was and then replied “it’s a traditional Italian tiramisu” with no apology or understanding. As someone who has lived in Italy I can also tell you this is not the true Italian tiramisu.
- our dirty plates also laid on a tray next to us for longer than I would of liked too
- we waited for our bill for a while and got bored of waiting so went to the counter and again mentioned our dislike of the desserts to which we got a meek sorry and asked what was wrong with it which was then met with a shrug 🤷🏻♀️ they didn’t take it off the bill or apologise much.
Such a shame as we came last year and the food was excellent so we made sure to visit again this year but sadly will not be returning!

We were on time for our dinner reservation. We order an aperitif, which was fine, than sat for 45 minutes and no one came back to check on us or asked if we were ready to order even though our menus were clearly on the table in front of us. So we asked for the check, which was politely given to us, no one asked why we weren’t having dinner, and we left and ate at Gourdi and had an amazing meal. We are living in Antibes at the moment and have been to St. Tropez before and have never been treated so dismissively.

Total st Tropez vibes - what a great location. Couldn’t have chosen a better location for dinner in the most relaxing atmosphere. We were with 6 adults and 7 kids. The staff was so kind and also very friendly to our kids. The kids enjoyed their meals and could chill on the lounges next to the pool. We all had a great time thanks to the staff.

Great local spot, approved by our hotel concierge. It was a perfect last meal in St Tropez for us. Definitely need to order the mussels entree with a bottle of rose of course. For our mains we shared the truffle gnocchi (YUM) and the grilled calamari. The calamari was just okay, a little dry but the ratatouille served with it was delicious. Overall an affordable, authentic, and delicious meal with a great atmosphere!

A lovely warm and welcoming family run restaurant. The food is authentic italian and delicious! We will definitely be back. Make sure you book in high season. Highly recommend.

Came here twice because it was just that good! The homemade pastas are exceptional — we tried both the truffle and the pesto with stracciatella, and while both were mouth-watering, the truffle one was simply unforgettable. The salmon tartare was generous and delicious. They do a homemade lemon meringue pie, light, fluffy, and delicate, a real surprise! Beyond the food, the service was just as memorable: the waitresses were all smiley, bubbly, and genuinely kind, something rare these days. And to top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, which feels almost unheard of for Saint-Tropez. Truly a 5-star quality/price/service!

This place is a gem !
It's tucked away from the crowds dining at the waterfront .
Simple decor and amazing food !
The mussels were sublime and the other two salads we had to share were excellent as well.
Service was great and the champagne was chilled !
We loved it and will definitely recommend it and hope to come back again on another visit to Europe.

We reserved online the same day for dinner. The staff was very friendly and all dishes were of the highest quality. The gnocchi with truffles were one of the best I've ever had in my life. All three courses did absolutely not disappoint and the price/quality ratio was excellent as well. Definitely a recommendation for everybody who is visiting St. Tropez.

The sunset was from the outdoor seating upstairs was spectacular! The people were very friendly. The service was a tad slow. The burrata with tomatoes was to die for. Our main couses were good but not spectacular. I still gave it a 5 star because a 4 star is not good enough.

We visited this place after our friend recommended it because of the amazing view, and what an amazing view it was! Overlooking the beach, yachts, sunset, and mountains was beautiful and made it an excellent dining experience. We had cocktails to go with our starters. We then had salmon and steak for dinner with a delicious rosé. The staff was friendly and kind when we had questions. They spoke English well. We loved watching the sun go down as we were served each course. When it came to dessert time we relaxed with cheesecake and sorbet with espresso. There was no rush to leave and we had an amazing night at Pearl Beach. Great atmosphere.

Review to Management
We were really looking forward to our family meal at La Petite Plage after having such a good experience at NOTO next door. Unfortunately, our evening was completely spoiled by the service we received from our waitress, Charlotte.
From the moment we sat down, the attitude we experienced was extremely disappointing. Charlotte asked if we wanted the wine list, and I simply asked if we could have some water. From that moment onwards, the service felt completely different.
It took around 30 minutes to order our starters, followed by another 30 minutes before we could order our main courses. By the time we were ready to order dessert, another hour had passed and unfortunately it was then too late.
This was supposed to be a lovely family evening, but the poor service and attitude made the whole experience extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I am addressing this directly to management because I genuinely believe that this level of service needs to be taken seriously. One member of staff can have a huge impact on a customer’s experience and, ultimately, on a restaurant’s reputation.
We had a completely different and very positive experience at NOTO next door, where both the food and the staff were excellent. Based on our experience, I would recommend trying NOTO instead.
I hope management takes this feedback on board and looks into what happened, because we certainly won’t forget how our evening at La Petite Plage was handled.

A noticeably excellent choice in St Tropez
Especially when others at the harbor front are well below standard & overly expensive.
The feta salad to start was amazing & the filet of beef with gnocchi cheese & walnuts was also very good
So was the strawberry cocktail for that matter
Lively room open to the front. Sand floor. Really nice decor
Classy & elegant with great service

The food selection is not the regular but nice fusion touches adds to it. Service is average. The avocado with crab is so good. The main we tried the kufta and lamb chops and it was fine.
Atmosphere is nice especially late in the night when it turn like a club with loud music and party vibes.
In general its worth

A Cozy Culinary Escape
From the moment you step inside, this place feels like a warm hug. Soft lighting, thoughtful details, and a relaxed, intimate vibe make it the perfect spot to unwind. Whether you’re tucked into a corner with a glass of wine or laughing over plates with friends, the atmosphere invites you to stay a while.
And the food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish is made with care — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and just the kind of comfort food you crave but rarely find done this well. From the first bite to the last, everything was chef’s kiss.
A true hidden gem that feels like home, but tastes like something out of a dream. Can’t wait to go back.

The place looked amazing but… sorry… one of the most rude service ever! We asked for some water and no idea how many times we were if ignored. The waiter I believe she woke up with her left foot. With such attitude people should not got I work. The food was good but really… service killed all of the experience. At the end we said who is paying what. The lady was unable to calculate and add our orders and all the time was telling we don’t wanna pay for something. We were waiting 10 minutes or more that she was able to add all things… we were 6 people and really… we just took a main dish… I will never go back there again!

Andrei Dmitrenok★☆☆☆☆
This is by far the worst beach club we visited across St Tropez, Monaco, Cannes, and Antibes.
Disclaimer: Given this beach club’s rating, I have serious doubts about the authenticity of many of the other reviews. Don’t be misled by the high rating like we were.
A few things to keep in mind before you visit:
1. The staff don’t understand even basic English. None of the other beach clubs we visited had this issue.
2. The venue is severely understaffed. There was only one manager and one waiter taking orders, so the wait times just to place an order were excessive.
3. The beach is extremely dirty. We never saw cigarette butts or plastic in the sand at any other beach club. This was genuinely shocking.
4. Orders are forgotten or take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. We waited 2.5 hours for lunch from the moment we placed our order. This is probably a consequence of the lack of staff.
5. The manager is extremely rude. When we politely asked about our order, we were rudely told to go back to our sunbeds.
6. The restroom was out of service for half the day. I understand this may have been a one-off issue, so I’m not holding it against the beach club. However, the issues listed above were more than enough to make this an extremely disappointing experience.
Overall, this was by far the worst beach club we visited during our trip. We visited around 15 beach clubs in total, and none of the others came close to this level of poor service and organisation.
Maria Powell★★★★☆
Lovely day spent at this beautiful beach club. A warm welcome & very accommodating beachside team. Nothing too much trouble. Lunch was delicious, but took a lot longer than we expected. Didn’t detract from a very mellow day. We thoroughly enjoyed it & would go back in a heartbeat. Thank-you Team!
Michael deLeon★★★★★
Had a great day here. Walked over from our cruise ship. The lunch was amazing (whole sea bass shared with my wife). I reserved lunch a few weeks ago and emailed them a few days ago to reserve lounge beds on the beach (40 euro per person) as I realized they were separate reservations. Glad I did so as they were fully booked.

We had the best experience at this family owned restaurant! The food was amazing - our favourite was the calamari. The wife was away for the night so the owners mum stepped in - she also made the best lemon meringue tart we have ever had. A lovely, elegant, genuine & authentic French meal
It’s been tough to find decent French cuisine in St Tropez . It almost doesn’t exist. Or at least not in the way anyone who has been to Paris would understand. It’s a little disappointing.
But this place, on our last night, definitely did the trick
Good food. Authentic French cooking, flavors, and ingredients.
All good. Actually, on reflection, this might be a 4+.
If you’re in St tropez, definitely go. You won’t be disappointed.

The people working here are incredibly warm, genuine, and welcoming!
The food was absolutely delicious. everything we tried was amazing: the calamari, the lamb shank, the shellfish pasta, and the dessert. The rosé wine was also fantastic.
I already want to come back for more!

This restaurant is situated in a beautiful picturesque side street/alleyway full of restaurants, slightly away from the super touristy harbor or the overpriced hotel in Saint Tropez. If I have to imagine a restaurant where the few locals (apparently they exist, because we met them) eat at, this is definitely one of those. The dishes are made with care and ingredients are fresh. I like the fish soup, where you first rub the raw garlic on the croutons, then you add cheese on top of the scrubbed garlic, then you drop it into the piping hot fish soup. It reminds me of the delicious hearty bouillabaisse I had in Marseille. I like the side rice and vegetables too.
The owner husband and wife duo are very friendly. Reservation is recommended. They speak English.

Mariana Barbosa★★★★☆
The food has good quality, but it is overpriced (2 pasta dishes and 2 drinks). The waiters forgot about our drinks and they were only brought after the food was on the table
Takaya Tschumi★☆☆☆☆
Extremely slow service and an aggressive owner who takes his stress out on customers. Ruins your vacation!
Just like many other 1-star reviews have mentioned, the owner immediately flies into a rage and has zero self-control.
The food took an agonizingly long time to arrive because they clearly lack enough kitchen staff. What's worse is that the owner gets visibly stressed and frustrated by his own kitchen's delays, and then proceeds to take his bad mood out on the paying customers. If you bring up any issue, he instantly snaps and turns hostile.
This terrible experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful trip. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs in Saint-Tropez.

I had an unforgettable dinner experience at Restaurant Les Graniers. Despite the prices being a bit steep, the overall experience was excellent. The setting on the beautiful secluded beach was mesmerizing, and the menu offered a tempting selection. The service was incredibly attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. Although some dishes, like the 42 euro truffle pizza, may seem extravagant, the overall ambiance and culinary delights made it worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back for another memorable meal!

What a lovely place. The ambiance is amazing, with the back drop of perfectly blue sky and the ocean, a great place for lunch.

My family and I went to the beach club for the day, and we enjoyed it so much! The beach was beautiful, and they had great views of the town and mountains. The water was also very calm, so if you are there on a nice day, I would definitely recommend swimming! Everybody was also so nice and welcoming. The food was great, we ate at the beach club restaurant, and my parents and I split the deviled eggs with a salad. Everything tasted fresh and I loved the seasoning on the eggs. However, I would say that anchovies in general are overused. Our waiter was also really nice, and he made great recommendations in terms of food. The atmosphere was a very calm vibe, but there was still a scene! I would highly recommend going to Jardin Tropezina!

Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
We only ended up going because of the restaurant’s unreasonable (and illegal)cancellation policy, which charges $100 per person.
The food was awful. My main course Salmon was overcooked and tasteless, so I sent it back. Despite this, it still appeared on the bill. To make matters worse, the bill was incorrect overall, and charged us extra to of wines we didn’t have, and staff argued with us instead of resolving the issue professionally.
Throughout the evening, we also overheard staff using inappropriate language and cursing. There were multiple arguments among staff members, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere,
The overall attitude of the staff was unprofessional and confrontational. Between the poor food, incorrect billing, and unacceptable service, this was a very awful and very expensive experience that I would not recommend.

It was a waste of time. We should have tried another restaurant. We reached on time as per our booking. We're asked to wait to be seated next to the toilets. The view was nice as you are sitting by the beach. I ordered a burger and the bread tasted old like from the day before.
I won't come back ro this place

While Saint-Tropez is known for premium pricing, this experience was unfortunately overpriced for the quality of food served. The atmosphere was a saving grace, offering beautiful beach views and a great sunset. We ordered the tuna salad starter to share among four people, which cost a staggering €96 for basic tomatoes, balsamic, and tuna belly which tasted canned and other con is the magic is good but to loud can’t talk with peers. However, the absolute highlight of the night was the tableside magician. He was incredibly kind and performed mind-bending, interactive tricks right in front of us. (would not recommend much better restaurants)

4.5/5 stars. Made a reservation for lunch and were seated quickly. We got a seat outside with a nice view of the church. The menu was a set lunch menu with a 2 course meal (choice of appetizer or dessert plus an entree) for 27 euros, and you order from this wooden board, not a physical menu.
I got the stracciatella, tomatoes, and arugula pesto for the appetizer, and the sea bass for the main. The appetizer was refreshing, and I enjoyed the mix of herbal flavors. The seabass was tender, and I enjoyed the side of veggies, although some parts of the dish were a little too salty. I tried my husband’s dessert - the pavlova, and it was light and not too sweet. It took a little while to get the bill (as is typical in Europe), but we enjoyed the food and the view.

The menu was small but thoughtfully curated, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. We were lucky to get a table outside on a charming little side street, which created a cozy and authentic atmosphere. It was calm and relaxing, yet close enough to the other guests to give the restaurant a warm and lively ambiance. A wonderful dining experience that we would happily recommend.

Great midi option, good price (27 plat + entrée ou dessert) to be in saint tropez. The plat was very good but the tarte tropezienne was one day old and sec. Service not very welcoming

My husband and I took a day trip to Saint-Tropez for our honeymoon and stopped here for lunch. It was the BEST dining decision we made because it was truly one of the best meals we have ever had! I‘m still dreaming about it. Everything was incredible at absolutely reasonable prices. I wish we could have stayed in Saint-Tropez just to revisit this gem of a restaurant.

We had incredible food in St. Tropez but this might have been our favorite. A small menu typical French experience with amazing food. Cute atmosphere in the old town. 10/10
Tips for Dining Out with Kids in Saint-Tropez
A little preparation can go a long way in ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable meal for the whole family in Saint-Tropez. Understanding the local dining rhythm and knowing what to expect will help you navigate the restaurant scene with confidence. These practical tips are designed to help you make the most of your culinary adventures with children in tow.
Embrace the French meal schedule. Restaurants in Saint-Tropez typically serve lunch from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 7:30 PM onwards. Arriving early, especially for dinner, means quicker service and a quieter dining room, which is often easier with young children.
Book ahead and mention the kids. During the busy summer months, tables fill up fast. Always call or book online in advance, and specifically mention that you are bringing children so the restaurant can prepare a high chair, booster seat, or a table with extra space for a stroller.
Look for the "menu enfant". While not every restaurant advertises it, many offer a dedicated children’s menu featuring simple dishes like grilled chicken, pasta with butter, or steak haché (burger patty) with fries. Asking for a half-portion of an adult dish is also a widely accepted practice.
Pack small distractions. While many family-friendly spots are lively and tolerant, a small coloring book, stickers, or a quiet toy can be a lifesaver while waiting for food. Avoid bringing tablets with loud volume, as this can disturb the relaxed atmosphere for other diners.
Choose terrace seating. Saint-Tropez’s warm climate makes outdoor dining ideal for families. A table on a shaded terrace gives children a bit more freedom to move and provides a built-in source of entertainment through people-watching, which is a favorite local pastime.
Time meals around the beach or naps. Plan a late lunch after a morning swim or an early dinner before the evening rush. This aligns with children’s energy levels and helps avoid the crowds and longer wait times that are common during peak dining hours.
Finding a place where everyone feels comfortable is the secret to a truly relaxing holiday in Saint-Tropez. The restaurants highlighted here prove that this glamorous destination can be surprisingly down-to-earth, offering memorable meals that cater to the youngest travelers without compromising on the quality and charm that define the French Riviera.
Whether you are savoring a fresh salad while the kids enjoy a crispy pizza or sharing a platter of local seafood as the sun sets over the Mediterranean, these family-friendly spots allow you to experience the best of Saint-Tropez together. Bon appétit!
