Exploring the art housed within the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville is a feast for the senses, but appreciating masterpieces by Murillo and Zurbarán has a way of building up a serious appetite. Stepping out of the Plaza del Museo into the Andalusian sun often leaves visitors craving a moment of quiet reflection over a perfectly pulled espresso or a refreshing café con hielo.
The neighborhood surrounding this cultural landmark, nestled between the trendy Alameda de Hércules and the historic Centro, is one of the best areas in the city for coffee connoisseurs. Here, the traditional Spanish breakfast culture blends seamlessly with the modern third-wave coffee movement that has taken root in Seville over recent years.
Whether you are looking for a quick pick-me-up before touring the galleries or a comfortable spot to rest your feet after viewing the permanent collection, the surrounding streets offer a diverse array of options. From hole-in-the-wall espresso bars to specialty roasters, there is a brew to suit every palate within walking distance of the museum.
This guide focuses on quality, atmosphere, and proximity to ensure you spend less time wandering and more time enjoying the local culture. We have curated a selection that ranges from historic institutions to minimalist modern spaces, all united by their dedication to the craft of coffee.
To make your visit seamless, we have organized the best spots based on their unique strengths, whether that is the best bean selection, the most authentic local vibe, or the ideal spot for remote work. Each recommendation is easily accessible on foot from the museum’s main entrance.
After reviewing the list, you will find a series of practical tips designed to help you navigate the local coffee culture like a seasoned local. This includes advice on when to visit, how to order, and what to expect regarding pricing and etiquette in Seville.
Here are the top coffee shops to visit near the Seville Museum of Fine Arts.

Such a good cafe, highly recommended. Ended up going here 4-6 times over 3 days because their coffee is SO GOOD! Lovely area to catch up, have a drink and meet new people as well. The staff was kind enough to share some exotic funky beans they had and it was experimental and so unique ♥️

One of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve ever visited.
The quality of the beans is exceptional, and you can truly tell how much knowledge and care the team puts into every cup. The baristas are incredibly skilled, and even a simple espresso is made with such precision and attention to detail that you can really taste the quality of the coffee.
What I especially love about MUY COFFEE is their deep understanding and appreciation of specialty coffee. Every visit feels like a chance to experience coffee at its best.
I honestly found myself looking forward to waking up every morning because I knew I was going to start my day here. MUY COFFEE became one of the highlights of my time in Seville, and I’m so grateful I found this place. Highly recommended for anyone who truly loves great coffee. 한국인 분들 그냥 묻고 따지지 말고 이쪽으로 오세요 세비야를 통틀어서 스페인 전체에서 여기가 제일 맛있는 거 같애요. 산미있는 에스프레소 ..최고

My favorite coffee shop in the area. It has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, a friendly owner and team, and genuinely delicious coffee.
The space is small, but it’s been used really well, with a casual, thoughtful setup. They also play great music, which adds to the atmosphere.
Prices are very reasonable, and they even sell their own coffee beans.

Went twice during my quick stay. Had a batch brew that was dialed in—delicate with floral notes and a some fruity vibes! Came back for a cappuccino and it was delicious. They take their coffee seriously and combined with the great vibes and friendly service I would definitely recommend this. It is an authentic specialty coffee shop that anyone into coffee would appreciate.

Awesome coffeeshop! Had a great V60, and a Flat white. The owners were super nice, and very friendly! Made steamed milk for our daughter who really liked it as well. Would very much recommend if you're into speciality coffee.

We’re in Seville for 3 nights and came across Café Nina — such a lovely find! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh and hot. I tried an empanada for the first time and instantly fell in love with the flaky, delicious texture. The Nina Latte was also a cute twist with a hint of banana flavour. Definitely a spot I’ll return to! Here are my pics 📸

If the coffee is good, the coffee is good. And here the coffee is good.
From an experienced coffee consumer, I enjoyed my coffee here very much. I’ve drank coffee from all over the world.
The milk here nicely frothed. Taste is very good.
Order to your taste preferences. Big or small, which milk, how many shots. Whatever suits you.
They also have many different kinds of pastries, cookies and cakes. I have not tried them yet, but they all look great.
Also the woman who was working was very kind, and helpful. Great service!

Slightly slow service, but the quality of the matcha made it worth the wait. It was a vibrant green, smooth, and made without sweeteners. We also heard the coffee is excellent.

Muy Rio Coffee just opened today and they’re serving serious specialty coffee (espresso based and filter, beans from Ineffable which is a renowned specialty roaster from Sevilla), and some non coffee options such as hot chocolate, matcha and chai lattes, with some very well crafted bakes, sandwiches, granola, and overnight oats. Friendly and hospitable folks running the place and is a great place if you need a solid cup of coffee.

LOVE the concept of this - and plenty of very cool choices on the menu. They take cash and card and certainly a cool experience for those new to the city!
Will just add however - I couldn’t really taste the matcha , but it was a good drink nevertheless.

Typical insta and tiktok hotspot.
The matcha latte is okay. It is a normal matcha and I had better ones before, but it was not bad.

This easily became my favorite go-to for breakfast. The cafe may seem small but the ambience, the scenery, food and service were superb. Everything I ordered tasted freshly made and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I wish I could have this cafe travel with me wherever I go. I highly recommend stopping by this place if you’re in Sevilla, Spain.

I had a fantastic breakfast at Lunula Coffee&Bakery in Seville. For just €15, two of us enjoyed a delicious and satisfying breakfast with freshly baked pastries, excellent coffee, and tasty focaccia. The quality of the ingredients was impressive, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to start the day. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Amazing value for money — great food, great coffee, and great service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast in Seville!

passed by this place when i was living in sevilla for a month, owner is an amazing friendly guy, you can feel the passion he has for his brand. i tried the pistacho filled croissant first, the croissant was freshly baked and filled up on the spot! it was crispy, delicate, and the filling was creamy and nutty, so so good.
i brought a friend next time and tried the hazelnut croissant and pistachio again lol, we both agreed pistachio was the best! well done!
i recommend going when they are freshly baked, which is right when they open and around 2pm! 🙌
Lilo K★★★★★
A small but nice breakfast place. They open from 07:00 which is really nice. The prices are reasonable. For a cappuccino, orange juice, focaccia and a croissant I payed 12 euros.
First you eat and you pay when you leave. Paying with card is possible.

This coffee was at most acceptable however, I personally will not return. I ordered a large Cappuchino for 3,80 € (Jan. 2026) - easily a rather elevated price but one notices that this place get frequented by tourist who look for "something special" and don't mind paying higher prices. However, the Coffee tasted quite watery like flavoured brown water with good temperatured milk foam. Nothing more and nothing less.....there are many more places in Sevilla with better coffee and a better value for money.
Vancy★★★★★
The cappuccino was flavorful and full-bodied. It’s a tiny cafe, mainly focused on to-go orders.
Since it’s sometimes not easy to find great coffee places in Seville, this spot is a real gem.
Anyone who truly loves really good coffee should definitely visit this place!

Great strong coffee! Got the iced latte. No flavors available though

Similar experience to other reviews- for the price, the quality was not there. The coffee I was served was over extracted and watery. For the price and specialty vibe, I would have expected higher quality tuning of the beans from the barista. Fine if you don’t really care about coffee…

Recommended to myself and my partner by our tattoo artist (shout out Carmen @ Haus of Tattoo), and so worth it! It’s a cute little spot with only 2 chairs, but every time we’ve been, we’ve been able to sit and chat with each other and with Rebecca behind the bar. They have bags of beans you can buy and they’ll grind them up for you if you like. Excellent, kind service. Not sure if anyone else besides Rebecca works there but she has quickly become a highlight of our time in Sevilla. Highly recommend 🙂
Peter M. H.★★★☆☆
So hot: can't touch this. - The place varies quite a bit in quality or: Consistency is not found due to a volatility in professionalism. As always, I order the Cappuchino (3€ , normal size, Jan 2026) for a reasonable price.
Food quality:
One time the coffee is well balanced and the flavor is pretty good but with the typical Coffee-sweetness of many small roasters. The other day the milk is so hot that you can't touch the paper cup - and it is undrinkable hot. Sorry, but this place can't be recommended.
The Armosphere is rated 2 because there is a busy road in front and inside no where to sit. Thus: not a place to sit quietly and enjoy spending a relaxed time.
Overall: Next please.

Absolutely love this spot! The smoothies are delicious and super refreshing, the sandwiches are made perfectly, and the açai bowls are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. Everything on the menu feels thoughtfully crafted and consistently tasty.
The atmosphere is just as good as the food. It is decorated with cute indoor boho vibes with wooden plates, glass straws, and little aesthetic touches that make every dish feel special. They really care about the details.
On top of it all, the staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to place if you’re looking for great food and a cozy, feel-good vibe.

Tips for Enjoying Coffee Near the Museum
Navigating the coffee scene in Seville is a delightful experience, but knowing a few local customs and practical details can greatly enhance your visit. The city has a very specific rhythm, and aligning yourself with it will ensure you get the best service and the highest quality beverages. Whether you are a strict espresso purist or prefer a frothy latte, these tips will help you blend in and discover hidden gems without the guesswork.
1. Know the difference between "Cafetería" and "Specialty Coffee."
While both serve coffee, a traditional Spanish cafetería focuses on speed, atmosphere, and breakfast tostadas, usually using a dark roast. A specialty coffee shop focuses on single-origin beans, lighter roasts, and brewing methods like V60 or Chemex. Decide which experience you are in the mood for before choosing your spot.
2. Master the local ordering lingo.
If you want a coffee with milk, don’t ask for a latte. In Seville, a "Café con Leche" is the equivalent, served in a small or medium cup. If you want a stronger coffee with less milk, order a "Cortado." For iced coffee in the summer, ask for a "Café con Hielo," which usually comes with a glass of ice and a separate hot espresso to pour over it.
3. Time your visit around the local schedule.
The hours around 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM are peak breakfast time in Seville, and bars can be crowded with locals enjoying their morning tostada. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere to work or read, aim for the late afternoon (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM), which is the traditional "merienda" time when locals enjoy a sweet treat and a coffee.
4. Don’t skip the pastry or toast.
Coffee culture in Seville is rarely just about the caffeine; it is about the accompaniments. Many of the best traditional spots near the museum are famous for their "tostada con tomate y aceite" or their homemade cakes. If you are at a specialty shop, ask if they have any local pastries from nearby bakeries to pair with your espresso.
5. Carry a little cash for smaller bars.
While most modern specialty coffee shops and larger cafeterías accept credit cards, some of the smaller, more traditional neighborhood bars are cash-only or have a minimum spend for card transactions. Keep a €10 or €20 note in your pocket to avoid any awkward moments when you just want a quick espresso at the counter.
The area surrounding the Museum of Fine Arts offers a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of Seville’s coffee culture in real-time. You can start your morning in a century-old bar with marble counters and loud waiters, and finish your afternoon in a sleek, minimalist space with Scandinavian decor and a pour-over bar. Both are equally representative of the city’s modern identity.
As you plan your cultural itinerary, remember that the best way to experience Seville is to slow down. Allow yourself the time to linger over your cup, watch the world pass by, and soak in the atmosphere that has inspired artists for centuries. The perfect cup of coffee is simply the cherry on top of an enriching visit to one of Spain’s finest art galleries.
