Finding a great cup of coffee near Casa de Campo often means venturing beyond the resort’s luxurious gates into the vibrant heart of Madrid. While the area immediately surrounding this exclusive country club is primarily residential and green, a short drive or train ride opens up a world of exceptional specialty roasters, traditional Spanish cafés, and trendy brunch spots. Whether you are a local resident, a visiting golfer, or a family staying at the nearby villas, you don’t have to settle for mediocre hotel coffee.
The neighborhoods bordering Casa de Campo, including Alto de Extremadura, Latina, and the bustling streets leading toward Príncipe Pío, have experienced a quiet culinary renaissance. Here, third-wave coffee culture coexists beautifully with the traditional "café con leche" lifestyle that defines Madrid. You can easily find a quiet corner to work remotely or a sunny terrace to people-watch after a morning walk in the park.
This guide focuses on quality, atmosphere, and accessibility. We have curated a list that ranges from high-end specialty bars where baristas treat brewing like a science, to cozy neighborhood joints where the toast with tomato is just as important as the espresso. No matter your preference for light roasts or dark, oat milk or whole, there is a spot near the park waiting to welcome you.
Because Casa de Campo is Madrid’s largest green lung, many of these cafés serve as the perfect refueling stations before or after outdoor activities. If you are planning a day at the Madrid Zoo, the amusement park, or the cable car, starting with a strong brew is essential. The following selections prioritize locations that are easily accessible via the Metro lines 5 and 10, as well as several bus routes.
To ensure you get the best experience, we have focused on establishments known for their consistency and service. While trends come and go, the places listed below have built reputations for serving excellent beans and creating welcoming environments. They represent the best of Madrid’s current coffee scene without forcing you to travel deep into the city center.
From hidden gems tucked away on side streets to modern minimalist spaces with industrial vibes, the variety is impressive. You can taste single-origin pour-overs in one spot and a classic, robust café solo in the next. Here are the best options currently brewing near Casa de Campo.

one of my favorite cafes! Excellent chai & matcha and all of their pastries are delicious - choco croissant & pan suisse alwaaays hit the spot 👌🏼

My favourite Cold Brew in Madrid, just the absolute best. Also one of my favourite coffee places in Madrid. If you are looking for a perfect cup every time, head here. My only hesitation is that sometimes the staff seem a bit unfriendly.

Cute little café with a bakery next to it. It was cozy to sit outside on a sunny day, enjoy good coffee, and just relax. The service was good and fast, especially considering there was only one person working.

Delicious cappuccino!! The cappuccino comes in S, M, or L which I found strange but I got a M and it seemed to be a typical cappuccino size. Beans perfectly roasted, very sweet, the milk foam was also perfect. The barista spoke English and was friendly. Provided the WiFi password which I appreciated.
Not much seating but the interior is very cute and with good chill music, it has great vibes if you can get a spot! I bought two bags of coffee to go, the beans were that good. Wish I were staying in Madrid longer so I could come back!

The iced latte here was excellent and remarkably good, can highly recommend going here for great coffee. The space for seating is very limited but still worth a visit.

Lovely staff, great food, specialty coffee, peaceful terrace and pet friendly environment 🥰
I come here every weekend and would definitely recommend the cafe ☕️

In my opinion, Soma Caffè is one of the best specialty cafes in Madrid (and there are many). The coffee is excellent and the food options are very good. I highly recommend the tostada con huevo and the Yogurth, however one of the best thing is actually the olives they serve with drinks in the evening. Prices are on Madrid's average and even slightly less then other specialty cafes in the city. The location is amazing, with a wonderful terraza near the Rio and without many cars passing by.

Barista very nice and he SPEAKS in English. The cafe is very unique it comes with a gym. 🤗

Such a charming two-floor café! Super cozy and welcoming. The food was genuinely tasty, and the service was kind and attentive. At least part of the staff speaks English, which made things easy for us. We ordered the tuna sandwich and the egg & avocado sandwich — loved both! The juices, coffee, and pastries were all fresh and really good. Highly recommend stopping by ☕✨

during my stay in madrid i’ve tried a lot of empanadas and this one was one of the best ones. the interior was cozy so was the atmosphere. service was perfect so i’m sending warm hugs to the barista who helped us with wine and cups:) too bad i visited in late hours so i couldn’t try coffee here
highly recommend!

Small but nice place and friendly staff.
Today we had toasts with natural tomato, fresh avocado and a very good quality ham. A bit dear but it worth the price.

Cafe de la Riviere is one of the many cafes and restaurants on Paseo de La Florida. I just happened to walk past after visiting Parque del Oeste and need to early evening snack. Not sure if the food was fresh as the girl had to microwave the cheese and onion pastry for me. I also got a strawberry milkshake. Both were average only, the milkshake look like frothy milk and the flavour was just strawberry flavoured syrup.

Amazing bakery with perfectly flaky, buttery croissants and rich Illy coffee. Cozy atmosphere and great service—highly recommend

We’re visiting from the US and this was a recommendation from a local. Coffee is delicious. We got the chicken sandwich to split and it was a perfect portion to hold us over for lunchtime. You have to order at the register/counter everyone is super friendly. They have an English menu which is helpful. After you order at the register/counter, you can sit anywhere and they bring the food over to you. Would highly recommend checking it out. Great vibe in here.

Tastiest cortado I’ve had in my life. Great balance. I could actually taste the brightness and acidity of the espresso. Friendly staff. Cool space to hang out in. Prices are a little high but totally worth it if you’re looking for a premium coffee experience.

Great coffee place for a quick coffee and a snack. Nice vibes and friendly people.
The avocado toast was simple and very tasty.
Good prices as well
Damian Górecki★★★★★
Our first breakfast in Madrid and it was a good choice. Both the bagel and the bread with egg were fresh and tasty. The portions aren't the biggest, but they're fine. The barista knows his coffee, was friendly and will definitely recommend good beans to anyone. Filter coffee is made using an xbloom machine, which is an interesting fact. They also have really good tea. It’s a popular place, but it’s a good one.
Oleg Shestakov★★★★★
Great place to stop for a specialty coffee near the palace. I really enjoyed the Geisha hand brew. It’s on the pricier side at around 9€, but the beans are worth it. It was ripe and full of juicy flavor. I loved it. I was too slow to take a picture of the flat white, but it was made to a high standard with great milk temperature and texture. I definitely recommend this place for coffee enthusiasts!

Great spot! So happy to have found this cafe zooming in on the Google map of the neighborhood. Went in for breakfast and coffee our first morning in Madrid and it was so good we came back again the next day. Tostada Completo was delicious and filling enough to last me until thr afternoon. Lots of gluten free options and almond milk if you don't do dairy. Loved it!

The Little Big Café is one of those gems you stumble upon and immediately want to come back to. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff make you feel at home right away. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared every dish seems to surprise you by being even better than the last. Their desserts are especially worth mentioning: rich, creative, and so good that you’ll find room for them even if you’re already full.
It’s the kind of place that feels like a “local favorite” the moment you sit down. The menu del día is always reliable and never disappoints, making it a perfect everyday spot. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch, a coffee break, or something sweet to end your day, The Little Big Café is a must visit.

We've been back twice and I can't wait to come back tomorrow. Each day is like a surprise because everything we ordered is better than the last. It's a must come, it may become your everyday spot.

I visited the cafe on a Saturday around noon for brunch and was lucky enough to get an outdoor table. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and attentive. It is a very good coffee place. They focus on pistachios. We had also some snacks for breakfast: irak toast and avocado toast. It was delicious. The owner is very humble and communicates very well with people.
Inside is small but enough to get a quick coffee with a friend.
Rania Elembaby★★★★★
Overall the experience is very good, thanks to to the service provided by the wonderful and dedicated owner himself. I really liked the pistachio latte along with the Iraq sandwhich and the avocado toast. The details inside the shop is thoughtful and the merchandise is a plus for making this place feel like your own personal nook.
Aimee Condon Nelligan★★★★★
Just wow. No words to explain how good the pistachio latte was, I got it with almond milk and will be thinking about it forever more.
The owner is such a gentleman, and you can tell that he really loves what he does, so much effort and love goes into each cup. The pistachio Madeline was perfect too. He even gave us a complimentary lemon pie latte to try and that was also amazing.
Best coffee we had in all of Madrid, we even got beans to bring home! Cannot recommend enough 🫶🏻
Camila Gutierrez★★★★★
Did I just spend 7€ on a coffee? Yes? Would I again? Hell yes. The owner made my coffee and carefully explained every variation they had as well as the details behind the presentation. Omg I had the Mesopotamia latte which was served on a cup purposefully selected to be the same color as the Ishtar Gate and came with a citrusy crumble WITH EDIBLE GLITTER THAT WAS MEANT TO SYMBOLIZE THE GOLD ONTOP OF THE GATE. I love.
Nino Dvali★★★★★
A must visit. Most delicious and excellent coffee and fantastic atmosphere. You would not want to miss this experience. We tried Pistachio latte and cappuccino lemon pie latte. Both were fantastic. Chatting with the owner, Naji, who is also the one serving the coffee is also its own experience.

Such a lovely spot! The coffee and matcha were really good, and the toast and pancakes were incredibly fluffy, probably the fluffiest we had. And as a bonus, we got to meet Arya, which made the visit even more special!

If you love to have your brunch outside, sitting on the street in this beautiful weather - this is a great option..there are quite a few tables here! We met Sophie who is the owner, she was super welcoming and nice. I had the avocado toast with extra poached eggs and the natural yoghurt bowl with granola and berries (recommending both) and matcha latte. Worth mentioning : very reasonable priced !

Best spot for breakfast and lunch! The staff is so friendly and have become my second family here in Madrid. Have to get the avo star! Such good quality food I have come here almost every day during my semester abroad and can’t rave about Arya enough. Also the dog is so cute she always brightens my day!!

Arya is a great spot for brunch! Cozy vibe, friendly staff, and everything we tried was delicious. Definitely a place to come back to for a relaxed and tasty brunch!

The coffee is great, but it feels more like a coworking space than a cafe. Of the 13 customers here at the moment, I’m the only one who isn’t working on my laptop. Just seems a bit, well, sad.

The worse coffee I had in Madrid, had a late with oat milk, barely a faint taste of coffee, milky color and just literally oat milk. . Iced version was better. Can’t explain the reviews . Had also a cookie which was fine . Only take away option.
Mel Z★★★★★
I love visiting local coffee shops and I am glad I stopped by!
Not only did the barista create a great oatmilk latte, but she was nice, friendly and happy to explain any other coffee drinks.
The girl by the stand was not as nice or attentive, but the barista made it worthwhile! Thanks for making a great latte for a long day!
Taoufik Mirkhan★☆☆☆☆
The cappuccino was disappointing. The steamed milk seemed to be poured straight into the cup without proper barista technique, resulting in an unbalanced texture, either overly foamy or too watery, rather than the smooth, creamy consistency expected from a cappuccino.

Cute chain coffee shop, can find other locations in the city and in Barcelona. Nice that they are opened a bit later than other coffee shops in the area. Very god cold brew.

Caio Pereira★★★☆☆
This is one of those brunch spots that clearly leans more on its concept and pricing than on delivering a well-rounded experience. The food itself is actually quite good—well-presented, flavorful, and clearly made with decent ingredients. The coffee also holds up, which is not always a given in places like this, so credit where it’s due.
That said, the experience starts to unravel once you factor in the timing and service. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, everything took far longer than expected—from ordering to getting the food on the table. The staff were polite, but noticeably slow and not especially attentive, which made the wait feel even longer.
The atmosphere doesn’t quite justify the price point either. It aims for trendy, but ends up feeling a bit underwhelming and lacking energy, especially considering how much you’re paying for a brunch.
In short: good food and solid coffee, but the slow service and overall experience don’t quite match the premium pricing.
Peter Chamalian★★★★★
A cozy, clean, spacious neighborhood cafe that blends its modern look with comforting details. The service was friendly and warm, with great conversation. We had breakfast and coffee. The Turkish eggs were fantastic--and so was the tortilla/omelette. As a coffee nerd, I appreciated that they put a lot of care into making my pourover. I had a Natural Ethiopian and I really enjoyed the roasting style. Ended up grabbing up a bag of their Natural Kenya. My girlfriend's latte was also excellent. Definitely returning, and highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a delicious, full plate of breakfast + specialty coffee.

As I understood, the only thing they have and it's not vegan is the eggs, but they have vegan eggs as well, so I am not sure why they have eggs 😅. Great coffee, delicious tostadas and cakes, totally recommended place.

Awesome little place. Been there twice during a visit to Madrid over the weekend. Usually a big fan of coffee but I tried the iced matcha and banana bread. Don‘t order it if you‘re not hungry 😂 The slices are huge! Friendly staff and more than fairly priced for what you get.

I went to Dale Café for lunch today, and I loved everything I ate: the muhammara, the toast with cashew cheese and the dulce de leche cheesecake. A Hidden Gem for Specialty Coffee in Madrid ☕✨
On our last day in Madrid, we had zero plans and I really wanted good coffee, so I found this place on Google. It’s right in the center, but tucked away on a quiet uphill street, which made it so nice and peaceful.
From the outside, it’s beautiful with warm yellow lights. Inside, it’s instantly cozy with a rustic wooden feel and quirky green and white tiles. It felt so incredibly homely, I wish I took more pictures, but I was enjoying my latte and food!
The Food & Coffee 🥑
Everything was served on the most beautiful plates. We got:
Avocado Toast: The avocado was so creamy with a generous drizzle of olive oil. That freshness and rich oil cut through the sourdough perfectly. The bread was really good.
Artichoke & sundried tomato toast: The artichoke spread was perfect and a little garlicky (which I love!). It was topped with sundried tomatoes, and that slight sourness cut through the creamy garlic flavour perfectly.
The cakes looked so tempting, but since I'm a vegetarian and don't eat eggs, I had to skip them.
For drinks, we both got the Almond Latte (mine with almond milk, his with regular). It was honestly perfect, so smooth, not too sweet since I got mine sugarless, and it had the best texture. Mine was even topped with a pretty pattern and little flowers!
Service was a little slow, but only because one person was running the entire cafe. It wasn’t too busy, just about three tables occupied. It’s super family-friendly, and I’m guessing pet-friendly too (especially with that cute dog logo on the window!). Such a warm, wonderful experience.
Vibhore Singh★★★★★
Had a lovely experience at El Perro de Pavlov Café. The people working there were incredibly humble, kind, and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The service was a little slow, but honestly, we weren't in any rush and it was clear that only one or two people were running the place and doing their absolute best. Considering that, we really appreciated the effort and care they put into serving everyone.
The coffee and food were great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. It's the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy your time, and feel genuinely looked after. We'll definitely be back.
Ceylin Doğan★★★★★
I had the garlic-rubbed tomato toast and orange juice and they were amazing! The toast has only garlic and tomato(if you want you can add cheese and ham), its simple but how can this be so delicious?? Also service was great, she was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Tips for Enjoying Coffee Near Casa de Campo
To truly maximize your coffee crawl around this vast area, a little local knowledge goes a long way. The Spanish coffee culture has its own rhythm and rules, and understanding these nuances will help you blend in and enjoy your experience more. Whether you are looking for the strongest espresso or the most comfortable place to open a laptop, these practical tips will guide you.
Know the local lingo. While specialty shops speak English, traditional bars appreciate a little Spanish. A "café solo" is an espresso, "cortado" is espresso with a splash of milk, and "café con leche" is half coffee, half hot milk. If you want cold milk with your espresso, order an "americano con leche fría" rather than expecting an iced latte on the menu.
Time your visit wisely. Spanish breakfast hours run later than in other parts of Europe. Most cafés are quiet before 9:00 AM, but they get loud and crowded between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM. If you want a table to yourself or plan to use a laptop, aim for opening time or wait for the lull after the lunch rush, typically around 4:00 PM.
Check the terrace situation. Because you are near a massive park, many of the best spots offer outdoor seating. However, terraces in Madrid often have a small surcharge or different pricing than the bar inside. If you are on a budget, drinking your coffee standing at the bar is not only cheaper but is also the most authentic Madrileño experience.
Pair coffee with food. In this part of Madrid, coffee is rarely a standalone event. The best local spots serve incredible "tostadas" with crushed tomato and olive oil, or sweet pastries like "napolitanas." Don’t make the mistake of eating breakfast before you go; let the café feed you, as the quality of the bread here often rivals the beans.
Consider transportation. While some of these cafés are walkable if you are staying right at the edge of Casa de Campo, the park is enormous. Driving can be tricky due to limited parking in the Latina district. Using the Metro (Lago, Alto de Extremadura, or Príncipe Pío stations) is often the fastest and most stress-free way to hop between coffee shops.
The area surrounding Casa de Campo offers a delightful contrast between the tranquility of nature and the energetic pulse of Madrid’s café society. Taking the time to explore these local businesses not only rewards you with excellent coffee but also offers a glimpse into the daily life of the city’s residents. Whether you are seeking a quick caffeine fix before hitting the trails or a leisurely afternoon latte, this neighborhood has you covered.
As the specialty coffee scene continues to evolve, we recommend checking the current opening hours of your chosen spot, as Spanish holidays can affect schedules. But rest assured, with this list in hand, you are never far from a memorable brew when exploring the western edge of Madrid.
