The neighborhoods of El Arenal, Santa Cruz, and the streets around Puerta de Jerez offer a strong concentration of quality bakeries. Panypiu is a very pleasant spot for breakfast or a light meal. The coffee is excellent, and both the croissant and the sandwich are fresh and tasty, making for a satisfying combination. Overall, it’s a simple but high-quality place that works well for a relaxed start to the day in Seville.

Bakery with delicious and varied food options. We tried the focaccia, pistachio croissant, milk bun and apricot pastry and all were perfect, as was the coffee

Found this place thanks to Google reviews. What a wonderful cafe bakery. First visit to Seville and this cafe and the staff are friendly and helpful. Supportive to you learning Spanish but also speak in English if you get stuck. We weren’t exactly sure of how to get served at first but approached the counter to wait. A couple of times we were missed but I honestly think that was down to us speaking to each other - so we weren’t interrupted. As soon as we stood with purpose and engaged, made eye contact with staff, we were served. The food we ordered was wonderful, I had the spinach quiche and OH MY WORD! Out of this world, I’m pretty convinced there was goats cheese in it. Whatever cheese it was it was lush and the texture of the warmed quiche with the salad and balsamic was spot on. Cappuccino for me. Appletiser and bagel with ham cheese and rocket for my partner. He loved it too. Highly recommended. The interior and atmosphere is also very calming and welcoming. One thing I also love is the thought to add hooks under the table for your belongings. Wish more places in the UK thought to do this. Facilities include - fully accessible toilet, baby changing space in there and I spotted a highchair too. Everyone is welcome.

Pretty decent experience overall. Good breakfast options, a lot of nice pastry. English breakfast good, but on a small side of scale. Cards are accepted. In the morning can be pretty hectic - queue is rather unorganized and seating places are pretty scarce.

Panypiu - Bread and much more The best bakery in Seville! I’ve been trying many croissants almost 4 weeks in Seville. Among nice bakeries in the city, I found this place as my number one because it has more than just pan 🙂 My favorites were the croissant and pain au chocolat. They are crispy outside, moist inside from enough butter. For me, the chocolate in pain au chocolat was also rich and just right. And the price is reasonable, the size is very generous. The staffs are so patient and warm- hearted even when it’s too busy which is always. They are focused on what they should serve. I think the team works very efficiently. I admire their work. I already became a repeat customer here. My breakfast time here was the happiest time during my stay in Seville 🙂 I hope all best to everyone who works here. 👍

Best pastries we tried in Seville. Had the raspberry mascarpone croissant, pan Suisse, chocolate covered hazelnut croissant and pistachio caracol. Beautiful all of them. Will happily return. And the shopkeeper was very affable and helpful.

In our top 5 globally. Try the local custard it's delicious with cinnamon and star anise but perfectly balanced so nothing overpowers. We came 2 days in a row and none of the cakes disappointed. Would heartily recommend.

Dulcería Manu Jara was a lovely find and definitely worth the stop. I ordered the pain au chocolat and the pain suisse. The pain au chocolat was my favourite, buttery, flaky, and rich without being overly sweet. The owner was very kind and attentive, which made the visit feel even more personal. I picked up my pastries to go and later paired them with a double cortado from another spot nearby. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. The bakery itself is beautifully decorated, with a high-end display of pastries that shows off their craftsmanship. Just note there is no seating, so it’s more of a takeaway place. This spot is well known in Seville and you can tell it’s earned its reputation. Others rave about their desserts and the overall experience and I have to agree. If you’re in the Triana neighborhood and want something sweet and authentic, this is a must visit.

Wonderful service and the tastiest pastries. I enjoyed the Pan de Pistachio among others.

If you are looking for flaky croissant, this is not the place. It’s more like bread and it was dry. Staff was not friendly, unwelcoming, and touching his facial hair. There was also construction inside, it started as I was eating. You will smell it! I wouldn’t recommend this place. Hope this will improve…

I have been this bakery yesterday and today, and I highly recommend it. The croissants are delicious, both original one and pistachio one. And the staff here are so nice, I especially wanna thank for Lola for her heartwarming service. Yesterday I didn’t pay successfully in the first time, but she told me don’t worry and kindly treat me ^^ I feel so moved by staff here.

I had a fantastic experience here! The cakes were absolutely delicious and the coffee was perfect. What impressed me the most was the portion sizes—they are very generous and offer excellent value for the price. The atmosphere is wonderful, making it a great place to relax, and the service was also very good. Everything we tried was high quality and satisfying. I highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for great treats and a lovely environment.

We absolutely loved our breakfast here! The mollete toast was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — simple yet full of flavor. The croissants were outstanding, rich with the aroma of real butter and baked to perfection. But the real star was the pistachio croissant — flaky, creamy, and truly unforgettable. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell great care goes into every detail. A must-visit spot in Seville for anyone who loves good pastry and bread! 🥐✨

The staff were very rude. They looked tired of the tourists. But they shouldn't forget that they make their money from tourists. They need to be more friendly and respectful. The tables outside were very dirty. Why did you paint the inside of the pistachio croissant green?? We had ordered takeaway, but when the child got tired, we thought it wouldn't be a problem to sit at the dirty tables outside for a short while. A rude woman warned us in a rude tone, "You ordered takeaway, you can't sit here." When I said we could pay if there was a fee, she continued muttering, turned around, and walked away.

Practical Tips for Choosing a Bakery Near Torre del Oro

A little planning can make your bakery visit much more enjoyable, especially if you are exploring Seville on foot. The following tips will help you avoid common mistakes and find the freshest products while making the most of the neighborhood around the Torre del Oro.

Go early for the best selection. Most traditional bakeries bake in the early morning, and popular items such as croissants, napolitanas, and rustic loaves disappear quickly. Arriving before 10:30 a.m. gives you the widest choice and the freshest textures.

Carry a little cash. While many modern bakeries and cafés accept cards, some smaller family-run establishments still prefer cash for small purchases. A few euros in coins will save you from an awkward moment at the counter.

Learn a few local names. Knowing the Spanish words for common items helps you order with confidence. For example, a napolitana is a pastry filled with chocolate or cream, a mollete is a soft round bread often served with olive oil or tomato, and a palmera is a crisp, heart-shaped puff pastry.

Check whether seating is available. Not all bakeries have tables. Some are takeaway-only counters, while others have small seating areas inside or on the pavement. If you want to sit down, look for signs advertising a cafetería or salón, or ask the staff before ordering.

Pair your pastry with a proper café. Seville takes coffee seriously. A café con leche or cortado will usually be far better than a standard filter coffee. Asking for a local recommendation at the bakery often leads to a perfect match between the pastry and the roast.

Consider a morning walk along the river. Many of the bakeries near the Torre del Oro are close to the Paseo de Cristóbal Colón. Buying a pastry and walking to the riverbank gives you a relaxed breakfast with a view of the Guadalquivir and the Triana skyline.

Respect local meal times. Bakeries are busiest at breakfast and during the mid-morning break. If you prefer a quieter experience, visit just after the morning rush or in the early afternoon. However, remember that some traditional shops close for a few hours after lunch.

Seville’s bakery scene rewards those who slow down and pay attention. A simple breakfast here can become one of the most memorable parts of your visit, especially when you choose a place that respects local ingredients and traditional methods. The area around the Torre del Oro offers a rare combination of historic atmosphere and everyday Sevillian life.

Whether you are starting a day of sightseeing or taking a break from the riverside heat, a good bakery provides more than food. It offers a moment of comfort, a connection to local routine, and a taste of the city that no museum or monument can replicate. Let the smell of fresh bread guide you, and you will likely find a favorite spot within minutes of the tower.
