Reims may be synonymous with champagne, but its culinary landscape extends far beyond the region’s famous vineyards. Tucked between historic Art Deco facades and the shadow of the Notre-Dame cathedral, a vibrant Asian food scene has taken root. From steaming bowls of ramen to delicate sushi rolls, the city offers a surprising depth of flavor for those willing to explore.
Whether you are a local looking to break out of a dining rut or a visitor seeking a break from traditional French brasseries, the options are plentiful. The demand for authentic Asian cuisine has grown significantly in recent years, leading to a wave of new establishments that prioritize fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods. This guide cuts through the noise to highlight the spots worth your time.
Finding a truly authentic meal in a city saturated with tourist traps can be challenging. Many restaurants claim to offer "Asian" food, yet serve a diluted, Westernized version that lacks soul. We have done the legwork to identify kitchens that honor their roots, whether through hand-pulled noodles, imported spices, or time-honored recipes passed down through generations.
This curated list focuses on variety, quality, and consistency. You will find everything from upscale dining experiences perfect for a date night to casual, family-run eateries ideal for a quick, satisfying lunch. We have considered not only the food but the atmosphere and value for money, ensuring there is a recommendation for every occasion and budget.
Our selection process involved analyzing local reviews, assessing ingredient quality, and considering the reputation of the chefs. We looked for places that deliver a memorable experience, not just a meal. The goal is to help you navigate the city’s diverse offerings and avoid the disappointment of a mediocre dinner.
Below, you will find a carefully selected list of the twelve best Asian restaurants currently operating in Reims. Each entry has been chosen for its dedication to authenticity and its ability to consistently deliver a high-quality dining experience that respects the culinary traditions of its origin.

What an Amazing experience! The food and service were exceptional. The noodle soop was one of the best things I have ever tried and the marinated beef was also amazing. They are masters in broth, the shrimp dumplings in broth were so comforting. The host was an amazing and very friendly lady! Would absolutly recommend!!!

Exceptional!!! cuisine and atmosphere. The owner is so kind. We loved the food so much, we came back the very next day to try more items on the menu. So fresh and health on a very hot day in Reims. We highly recommend for appetizers: Nem Ta Dua & Ka Yo. For entrees, we enjoyed Pad Kra Pao, Bo Kho, Phan Khao Dok Champa, and Phan Nem Nueng. All were so delicious!! We love Lao and Thai food and this perfect. Brava & sending love from California, USA.
Paula Renkin★★★★☆
This is a very good place. The menu provides plenty to choose from. I had nem nuong which is pork meatballs with rice wrappers, lettuce leaves, cucumber, pickled carrot, and fish sauce. It was delightful. Ally food I saw bright out from the kitchen looked well made. The man who served the dining room was polite and took great effort to understand my English. The decor is modern, and the place is clean. I truly enjoyed my meal here.

Great Bahn Mi. A lot of filling. Very friendly service from the chef. We'll be back for the delicious looking Vietnamese drinks.

Not being a fan of this type of cuisine, the meal was delicious and freshly prepared.
I followed the chef's recommendations and I wasn't disappointed!
The service was quick and friendly, and the vegetarian options were a welcome addition. A must-try!

This place is amazing! The banh mi at lunchtime are out of this world (I've already tried three, and I'm a picky eater), pulled pork is my absolute favorite ❤️. And the drinks in the afternoon are just as amazing (Vietnamese latte with condensed milk is delicious) and I personally had a coconut latte with pandan, my heart was singing.
They also have a matcha drink, so if you like matcha that's not too sweet, go for it!
The staff is super welcoming +++
And the loyalty card is great!
I discovered you through Too Good To Go. Sometimes fate works in mysterious ways 😏

We hired Asian Korner for catering for 28 people, opting for a festive buffet with Asian influences, featuring several appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and everything went perfectly.
It was their first time catering, and frankly, we have absolutely no complaints: excellent communication, very friendly staff, top-notch organization and creative ideas, and truly delicious food. Everything was generous, varied, and our guests loved it.
The buffet was a major factor in the success of the evening. We highly recommend them and will gladly use their services again!
Thanks again! 😄

Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find at Reims when I crave for some Asian cuisine. I am immediately interested when walking past given the name is “Mala” (Im huge fan of spicy food)
We had the Dan Dan noodles and Mala Mixian. What can I say, the taste exceed our expectation and we really enjoy the meal.
I ordered very spicy for my noodle and it is excellent. Definitely have the spicy kick flavours in it. Would highly recommend this place!

Lovely Asian food, the owner is very nice and the restaurant clean and cozy. The food is very fresh, and doesn't lack the Asian taste that so many other places do. 🙂

A certified Mala place next to the Reims Cathedral. Went here as I have been craving authentic Mala spice food.
Classic concept of choosing your mix of veg, meat and sauces and deciding if you want cooked in broth or stir-fry. The service staff was super helpful and guided us even if they didn't speak very fluent English and we didn't speak French. Good prices, our big portion was only €18 and 2.5 euro soft drinks. Would recommend

Definitely best Chinese food in Reims, kind service and incredible food quality, great variety of ingredients you can choose, making me feel like home… and the owners are always kind and friendly, recommend to anyone wants authentic Chinese Malatang
Enelyn Uri★★★★☆
Good restaurant! Just a note — it’s not a buffet; you pay by the gram. The food is delicious, and the prices are fair and affordable. The staff aren’t very attentive, but maybe that’s normal for this type of restaurant. Overall, still recommended.
R AO★★★★★
Great restaurant, so far the best experience of an Asian restaurant in Reims, you select your own ingredients, put them in a bowl, then give it to the Cook. Fresh, convenient and delicious 🙂

Outstanding Zha Zha Miang Miong with a Million-Dollar Cathedral View!
What a wonderful surprise! Finding such authentic Chinese food in this location was unexpected, but it completely blew me away.
Here are the highlights:
Authentic & Delicious Food: I had the Zha Jiang Mian (Zhajiangmian), and it was exceptional. Both the texture of the hand-pulled-style noodles and the rich flavor of the sauce were spot on—absolutely top quality!
Unbeatable Location & View: What really sets this place apart is the setting. You can enjoy your meal while soaking in a fantastic, direct view of the Cathedral. Dining on great Chinese food with a backdrop like that is truly unique.
Verdict: If you enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine, this place is an absolute must-visit. Delicious food, great sauce, perfect noodles, and an unbeatable view of the Cathedral. Highly recommended!

After few days of traveling in France. We would like to try something from Asia, so we decided to go to a Korean restaurant to have something spicy. We ordered some BBQ, spicy tofu soup and black bean noodles (짜장면). Everything is good apart from 짜장면. For me, it has too much water in the source. So I can not tasted the food. The rest is good…
J L★★★★☆
As someone of Korean heritage, I can tell this is not owned and operated by a Korean but the food and utensils are quite good and almost authentic. 😊 I revisited this place - the cold noodles are especially good. The pancakes would be better without cheese and with more authentic fillings.
Thank you for having a Korean restaurant in Reims 🇰🇷🇫🇷
Rian Gonzales★★★★★
Honestly, I wasn't expecting to have such a wonderful lunch experience in this restaurant! 💖 From outside, and because of the generic store name, you would think its one of those westernized versions of asian cuisine, but my goodness was i proven wrong! 💖 I've never had an authentic korean cuisine experience since i moved to France a year ago! 💖 This was never a problem for me before when I still lived in the Philippines and authentic korean restaurants were everywhere, so it's easy for me to discern when a korean restaurant is not up to par.
They offer lunch menus for just €14 during weekday lunch and it already comes with complimentary entree, rice, soup and some banchan. I got Bulgogi and my husband got some bibimbap 💖 the Bulgogi was marinated just right and the meat i was served were beautiful thin sukiyaki slices, just as a Bulgogi should 💖 the bibimbap was also great, you can taste the sesame on the spinach and carrots. My only comment is i wish it is also served with some gochujang or ssamjang just as a usual bibimbap fare has! It was also missing seasoned Beansprouts. It's not a big deal though as we still thoroughly enjoyed the food 💖
The mandoo was great, it didn't tastle like frozen ones you're usually served in other restaurants.
Im really glad there's a proper korean restaurant in Reims now! I'm looking forward to try more of their dishes 💖 i have high hopes for this restaurant and wish them all the best 💖
Lyn-Zhou Lim★★★★★
Some of the best Korean food I've had. Not sure if it was the cold or the wind but it really tasted so authentically Korean (Korean cooks and staff). Pork hotplate was so delicious and the army stew really hit the spot. If you're looking for a Korean Fix in the middle of France, this is definitely a place to try
TommyLeecs★★☆☆☆
Food was ok .. but the experience was bad. The place was tight. Despite ordering so much they gave us a small table, everything could fit we had to rush to eat all the other dishes so the big bbq pot could be placed on the table. They gave others to sit on a table which jusy ordered alacarte.

GENKI is an absolute gem!
This cute little Asian restaurant is always full—and for good reason. The ramen noodles are truly the star of the place: perfectly cooked, full of texture, and incredibly satisfying. The curry is also delicious and packed with flavor.
We ordered the menu and loved everything—especially the miso soup, the gyozas, and the small salad, which were all fresh and well prepared. Overall, the food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get.
Big kudos to the staff as well! Every time I’ve been here, they’ve been super friendly and welcoming. They all speak English, and some even speak Spanish, which is a nice bonus. I also love sitting at the bar and watching the cooking process—it really adds to the experience.
I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Perfect. It's a cozy place, with friendly, fast, and very efficient service. The quality and flavor of the food are superior to the price.

A really nice surprise to eat ramen in Reims, totally worth it. The staff is really nice and they are fast! The beef ramen was so tender and juicy. We ordered a lunch menu that included miso soup and gyozas 🥟. The miso soup was a hug to my stomach and heart. Thank you Genki cooks.

So good we had both lunch and dinner here on the same day!
We loved our lunch, both the ramen and katsu curry were fantastic so we came back for dinner to try more dishes.
Great portion size, fantastic flavour, good prices too.
If we ever find ourselves in Reims again, Genki will be on our list again!

In front of the restaurant, many cyclists (food delivery) are parked, talking and waiting. But there are plenty of tables inside.
Nice, attentive service.
Both dishes were large portions and of excellent quality (Chicken Ayutaya and Curry).
Overall, excellent value for money.

Food is good. Better than expected.

The food was very good. The curry was the best out of the 3 dishes we tried. The service is exceptional but the basic setup makes it a better choice for take away.
Katlyn Walthall★☆☆☆☆
We ordered via DoorDash and, while we didn’t have the highest hopes, were completely disappointed with our order.
The “create your own wok” included additional items on it that we didn’t order, both meals were missing sauces that were paid to be added (spicy sauce), and neither meal was at all spicy although both were selected to be the highest spice level.

first time in Reims. we found this Thai restaurant via google maps. Got very good reviews so we tried it and we were not disappointed. fantastically delicious and very good prices for this fantastic food. I ate a noodle dish with large shrimps and my partner had a curry dish with chicken. Got really full, the portions were generous but I wanted to try the spring rolls with dark chocolate and ice cream so I managed to push that down. Fantastically delicious
Sarah Rundle★★★★★
This was the nicest and most flavoursome Thai meal we have had in France this year.
We had the yellow curry and the 3 flavours dish and they were both excellent. The spring rolls starter was easily the best we have ever had anywhere. Hand made and not mass produced.
We highly recommend this and would return for sure.
We were greeted by a bright and bubbly Maitre D who was able to easily explain the menu and all the adjustments we could make for the different protein.
Delicious.

If I can give 6 stars to Hanuri, I would! It's definitely one of my fave recent discoveries! 💖 Having been to Korea a couple of times, I definitely can vouch for the authenticity of the food here! It's ran by a Korean family and it definitely tastes like a home cooked meal, despite the classy atmosphere! 💖 I felt like I was transported back to Asia with every bite 💖
I waited to eat twice at the restaurant before I made my review. The first time, I tried the barbecue and it was truly divine! The cuts of meat were quality and it comes with unlimited banchan! The server explained how to properly use the grill so it won't be overwhelming for people who tries KBBQ for the first time.
The 2nd time we tried their lunch set and honestly it gives a bang for your buck! For only €15.90 you get a Bulgogi bowl and a set of banchan! The Bulgogi was marinated well and the meat was tender! My partner tried the Korean Chicken which was also great, just a bit trickier to eat but the flavors are definitely there! The prices definitely justify the whole experience 😊💖
All in all I was very happy with my experience at Hanuri. I definitely see myself coming back again in the future! 💖

Brand new restaurant that opened less than a month ago: classy and elegant setting, each table has its own grilling spot, very nice decor.
Staff was very helpful & welcoming.
We tried several items:
A mix of fried dumplings (Mandoo) which were very fresh & tasty. The sweet & spicy fried chicken (dakganjeong) was good, although a bit sweety for my taste.
The barbecue meat, however, was truly delicious: we opted for the beef, chicken and lamb (no duck available) and weren’t disappointed. The marination was excellent, and you get to cook your meat to your own taste. It is served with several side dishes, (kimchi, green beans, zucchini, and other local preparations).
The rice was also very good, although you have to pay extra.
We also tried their Soju: very subtle and quite refreshing.
Very garnished menu, they also serve main courses.
Will definitely be trying it again for another taste!!
Rk★★★☆☆
While the flavors here are generally fine, the marinated and fried dishes lean heavily on the oily and salty side.
There were also a few misses regarding traditional Korean dining expectations. Tofu was missing from the side dishes, which was surprising. Additionally, sharing a single sauce dish across the table isn't ideal for a BBQ setup. Despite asking twice for individual sauce portions per person, our requests weren't fulfilled. Fine for a casual bite, but the dining experience could use some adjustments.
samantha gordon★★★★☆
I visited the restaurant on the 1st of May at 9pm with my cousin. As we arrived a little early they placed us at a table facing the bar. When our table was ready in the main restaurant we asked if we could have the table by the window facing the bar which they quickly accepted and dressed our table. Having been before I didn’t want to choose the barbecue option as I had done that before.
We both chose the Korean chicken pieces which was delicious. My cousin also had the tempura which she loved.
I chose the Cheese Tteobokki .It was supposed to be with a red chilli sauce but the sauce was not spicy. I was a little disappointed. I hadn’t expected it to look like like pasta either.
Anyway the staff were very friendly and the toilets clean and well decorated.

Tips for Choosing the Right Asian Restaurant in Reims
While the list above provides a great starting point, the best choice for you depends on your specific mood and preferences. Reims offers a wide spectrum of Asian cuisines, and knowing what to look for can elevate your dining experience from good to unforgettable. Whether you are craving the subtle flavors of Japan or the fiery heat of Thailand, a little research goes a long way.
Check for Cuisine Specialization
Avoid restaurants that try to do everything at once. A menu that features sushi, pad thai, and pho under one roof often indicates a lack of focus. Instead, look for establishments that specialize in a single country’s cuisine, such as a dedicated ramen bar or a Vietnamese pho house. Specialization usually means the chefs have mastered the specific techniques required for that culinary tradition.
Look for the Local Crowd
A restaurant filled with local residents is always a good sign. If you see families and groups of friends who clearly live in Reims, it suggests the food is authentic and reasonably priced. Restaurants that rely solely on tourists often lower their standards because they do not rely on repeat business. Follow the locals to find the hidden gems.
Don’t Judge by the Storefront
Some of the best Asian meals in Reims are served in modest, unassuming spaces. A simple dining room or a basic facade often means the owners are investing their money in the kitchen rather than the decor. Focus on the aroma when you walk in and the quality of the ingredients on the plate, rather than the thread count of the napkins.
Ask About Spice Levels and Dietary Needs
Authentic Asian restaurants are usually very accommodating regarding spice and dietary restrictions. Do not be afraid to ask if a dish can be made vegetarian, gluten-free, or extra spicy. The willingness of the staff to adjust a dish to your taste is a strong indicator of a kitchen that cooks to order rather than reheating pre-made sauces.
Respect the Lunch Service
If you want to try a high-end spot without breaking the bank, visit during lunch. Many of the best restaurants in Reims offer "formules" or set menus at midday that are significantly cheaper than their evening offerings. This allows you to sample premium ingredients and chef specialties for a fraction of the dinner price.
The Asian dining scene in Reims is a testament to the city’s evolving palate and its embrace of global culture. While the champagne houses may draw the crowds, the diverse flavors found in these restaurants keep both visitors and residents coming back for more. Exploring these culinary traditions offers a delicious counterpoint to the region’s more famous gastronomy.
Whether you find yourself slurping noodles in a bustling bistro or savoring a quiet plate of sashimi, the experience is sure to be a highlight of your time in the city. The next time you are in Reims, step off the beaten path of French cuisine and discover the rich tapestry of Asian flavors that this historic city has to offer.
