A must do, whether you are religious or not. Steeped in history, beautiful decorated and incredible architecture. Christopher Colombus tomb is located in the main hall. The views from the tower are amazing, and reward the climb, although all ramps not steps - there are plenty of openings that allow a breeze into the tower or a place to sit and rest for a moment.

Very nice n big. Amazing work done inside the cathedral. Go with guide to have a better experience. Jesus life story wall made up of golden color is wonderful. The view from the bell tower is not so clear because there are wire fences all around. And there are ramps not stairs to go up. But the city view is beautiful from there. Both old n new architecture can be found in the city.

Stunning architecture. Huge cathedral. Love that the tower is a sloping path not steps. I think much easier to “ climb “. Great view shame about bird wire does restrict view a tiny bit Definitely worth a visit Go at 4pm we went on Saturday @4 no queue at this time and not packed inside

2026/04 35 slopes and 17 stairs. The La Giralda is the iconic bell tower of the Catedral de Sevilla in Seville, and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in southern Spain. Originally built in the 12th century during the Almohad dynasty as a minaret for the city’s main mosque, it was later transformed into a bell tower after the Christian conquest of Seville, reflecting the cultural changes brought by the Reconquista. Architecturally, the tower is a remarkable fusion of Islamic and Renaissance styles: the lower section preserves its Moorish design, with intricate brick patterns, arched windows, and geometric decoration, while the upper section was added in the 16th century, introducing classical Renaissance elements. The tower rises to about 104 meters and is crowned by the “Giraldillo,” a large bronze statue that functions as a weather vane and symbolizes faith. A unique feature of La Giralda is its interior system of ramps instead of stairs, originally designed to allow riders on horseback to ascend to the top. Today, visitors can walk up these ramps to enjoy panoramic views over Seville, including the cathedral, historic quarters, and the Guadalquivir River. As both a functional structure and a cultural symbol, La Giralda represents the layered history and architectural continuity of Seville across centuries.

Stunning History, Great for Kids (But Skip the Stroller!) La Giralda is an absolutely magnificent historical landmark. The rich history inside the palace structure and the beautifully preserved relics are incredible to see in person. If you are visiting with young kids, there are some wonderful highlights for them—our 4-year-old daughter absolutely loved the fish feeding and the pigeon feeding area, which kept her completely engaged and entertained! However, a major heads-up for parents traveling with toddlers: there are no elevators here. If you bring a baby trolley or stroller, be prepared for some serious heavy lifting up and down narrow, historic staircases just to get inside and outside the main areas. Additionally, while the famous climb up the tower itself uses sloping ramps rather than traditional steps, the final stretch has narrow stairs, and strollers are not allowed up the tower for safety reasons. Tip for parents: Leave the stroller at the designated hotel/check area or swap it for a baby carrier before you head inside. It is 100% worth the visit, but much easier to navigate without wheels!

The globe only works with good weather, don't buy in advance, go to the park and buy there, as you could lose money.

That's quite a cool experience for 10€, without the need to take a full entrance for the attraction park !

Great views of the city and surrounding area.

We bought tickets for a Monday but couldn't go up because they told us it was too windy. We returned on Thursday and went up without any problem as a family with a 5-year-old daughter. Smoking of any kind is not allowed on board, nor is it permitted to extend your phone more than half a centimeter beyond the net. The views are spectacular; a lovely experience to share with family or friends. I found the price quite reasonable.
Alicia Rodriguez Vega★☆☆☆☆
A completely disappointing experience with the Nao Vigía tickets. I bought them intending to use them, but it was impossible because on the occasions I was able to go, the balloon couldn't fly due to weather conditions. After several attempts and waiting a considerable amount of time to enjoy the experience, the tickets expired without me being able to use them. What's most infuriating is that, when I requested a solution, they refused both to refund my money and to extend the validity of the tickets. I understand that weather conditions can prevent the flight, but I consider it completely unfair that the customer has to lose their money due to circumstances beyond their control. If the service cannot be provided due to weather conditions, there should be some alternative for those who tried to use the tickets in good faith. The management is very inflexible, and the customer service leaves much to be desired. After paying for a service that I ultimately couldn't enjoy, I expected at least a reasonable solution.

A truly stunning place and one of the highlights of Seville. The architecture is beautifully preserved, both inside and out, with incredible attention to detail throughout the palace. The courtyards, intricate decorations, and lovely gardens make it easy to spend several hours exploring. I was glad to have a bottle of water with me, as the visit took around 2.5 hours at a comfortable pace. Buying tickets online in advance is definitely the best option, especially during busy periods. I also recommend combining your visit with the Cathedral, which is only about a 10-minute walk away. Highly recommended for anyone interested in history, architecture, and beautiful gardens.

Visited on a walking tour. Carlos our guide was excellent. Stunning architecture, mosaics and colours. Also gardens are spectacular. Skip the line tickets are a must in high season. Also bring water if visiting in June as temps in seville in summer are surface of the sun hot! Highly recommend.
Cindy, Realtor & Travel Lover★★★★★
The Royal Alcázar of Seville is one of those places that makes you stop every few steps and say, “Okay, one more photo…” The architecture is breathtaking, the details are incredible, and the gardens are absolutely magical. We could have spent hours wandering through the pathways and courtyards. Every corner feels like a postcard. A few tips from a fellow traveler: book the earliest entry time possible because the Seville heat is no joke. Bring a fan, wear comfortable shoes, and don’t forget your headphones for the audio tour. And ladies… wear your cutest outfit. 📸✨ There are photo opportunities everywhere. Seriously. Every archway, garden path, fountain, and courtyard is begging for a picture. If you’re planning a trip to Seville, the Royal Alcázar is 100% worth it. Beautiful, historic, and somehow even more impressive in person than in photos. 10/10. Bring water, bring a fan, and make room on your phone for about 300 photos. 🇪🇸☀️🌴🏰📷
Édouard Baladès★★★★★
The mix of architectural styles makes this place truly enchanting. The gardens are vast and provide a welcome respite from the heat on Seville’s many sunny, hot days. During peak season, be sure to book several days in advance, as the tickets are sold out every morning.
Wukong★★★★★
An absolutely breathtaking visit to the Real Alcázar of Seville. The palace is a stunning blend of history, art, and architecture, with intricate Mudéjar details, beautiful courtyards, and richly decorated rooms that feel like stepping back in time. The gardens are equally impressive—peaceful, expansive, and immaculately maintained, perfect for wandering and taking in the atmosphere. Every corner tells a story, and the overall experience is both culturally enriching and visually unforgettable. A must‑see landmark in Seville and one of the most beautiful historic sites I’ve ever visited. Highly recommended.

A good looking arch near the Macarena Basilica. Make sure you have a look at the remnants of the Roman defensive walls adjacent to the arch.
Andrew Latham★★★★★
Part of the visitor attractions of Seville but not so well known. Great arch, medieval walls and church
Simon Rose★★★☆☆
Worth a visit to see the 12th century walls that stretch out on one side with the moat and primarywall. The arch in itself isn't so much of a sight but therex are much smaller passages through the wall which are more visually impactive and you can get right up close to see the stonework. The church is obviously just on the left of the wall too
Geoff Bryant★★★☆☆
The church was well worth a visit but the surrounding areas were kind of dirty and dingy. A lot of cafes and restaurants, but none of them I spired us enough to eat there. Central Seville is a lot more welcoming. If you have a lot of spare time, it is worth a visit, but I'd pressed, focus on the Central, historical, area.
Phillip Spencer★★★★★
Nice area and arch is just alongside the remains of old defensive walls of Seville. Worth seeing in a less tourist-y area with plenty of local bars nearby.

Nothing spectacular really. The bridge itself can be interesting from the engineering point of view and it ages not too bad. The area around it has so much potential though. I wish they had invested some money in renovating the river side around this bridge, or between this bridge and the city centre.

Very interesting structure. Probably the nicer looking of all the bridges over the Guadalquivir River. Built for the Expo 92. It is a vehicle and pedestrian bridge linking various running paths / trails in the surrounding areas.

Good experience for the kids! Yes, there are lines, it is crowded and yes the rules are very strict and a lot feels like a ripoff (prices for sunbeds, food etc), yet it is a lot of fun for the whole family. Recommended!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Serious Concerns About Discrimination and Customer Treatment We visited this water park as a group of 21 people who had travelled from the UK, having booked and paid for our tickets online in advance. We were genuinely looking forward to spending the day enjoying the swimming pools, water slides and facilities with our families and children. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable day turned into an extremely upsetting and distressing experience. From the moment we arrived, members of our group felt that we were being treated differently. During the security process, we noticed staff repeatedly staring at members of our group and giving us what appeared to be hostile and unwelcoming looks. As a group that included Muslim visitors, we became increasingly uncomfortable with the way we were being treated. The situation escalated once we entered the swimming area. We were wearing swimming shorts/swimwear that we had purchased specifically for swimming. One of our group members entered the pool and was subsequently removed and told that he was not permitted to use the pool because his swimming shorts were supposedly unacceptable. We questioned this decision and asked what specific rule our swimwear had breached. We were not aware of any clearly communicated requirement at the time of booking that customers had to purchase swimming shorts directly from the park. Instead, we were told that we needed to buy swimming shorts from the park’s own shop. This was particularly frustrating because we had already spent a substantial amount of money on tickets for 21 people, only to find that members of our group were being prevented from using the facilities we had paid to access. Even more seriously, some members of our group speak Spanish and understood conversations that staff apparently believed we could not understand. We heard comments about our group which were extremely upsetting, including remarks along the lines of “get them out” and “we don’t want them in our pool.” Given the way we had already been treated, this left us with serious concerns that we were being targeted because of our appearance and Muslim identity. We immediately requested to speak with a manager. We waited approximately 20 minutes for a manager to attend. When we asked for the manager’s name, it was not provided to us. We also requested a refund because we had paid for access to the park but were unable to use the facilities as intended. Unfortunately, our request for a refund was refused. This was not simply a case of poor customer service or a disappointing day out. We felt humiliated, singled out and discriminated against. A group of 21 paying customers should not be made to feel unwelcome or treated in a manner that gives rise to such serious concerns. We are now considering taking this matter further and pursuing a formal complaint/claim regarding our experience. Our advice to anyone considering visiting this park is to do your research beforehand and ensure you obtain clear confirmation of the swimming-wear requirements before purchasing tickets. For our group, the experience was completely unacceptable. We travelled from the UK expecting a fun and enjoyable day with our families, but instead left feeling extremely disappointed and distressed. If a zero-star rating were available, that is what we would give. We will not be returning.
Bianca Ap★☆☆☆☆
I wouldn’t recommend it. The lines are long for everything. We waited an hour just to get a drink. The staff is not well prepaired and only one cash register was opened for drinks/food and around 50 people were waiting in line/ they were also not rushing at all to help us go faster and order, and were wasting time walking about and talking to each other instead of prepairing the orders. The lines for the slides are also too long, we wasted another 40 minutes just to go on 1 slide. It’s too busy and it becomes not enjoyable at all.
Dilan Induruwage★☆☆☆☆
Definitely not going again. Not worth for money. Price showed 29€ per person but from the tickets coûter she charged 32.80€ per person. Staff was very rude and no changing rooms and water is very dirty even around 13h00. Totally disappointed and not recommended
Michele Bryan★★★★☆
We needed a reprieve from the heat in Seville and this was it. It is not huge but has everything you need for a day out with the kids. We have two teens and we had a great time. Easy to navigate, most lines were less than 5 mins some up to 15 mins. Rides can’t be compared to some of the bug parks but still lots of fun. The staff were great, pleasant and helpful. Food was typical park food, Hot dogs and pizza were good and prices a little higher than outside but good for a theme park. We paid on line before hand for the “hammocks” loungers, we arrived at about 12.30pm, there were plenty available and we settled in. Later in the afternoon they were nearly. All taken, so get there early. Lockers were also easy to use and worked well. We had a great day, it’s a typical water park with a good variety for young and old, no crazy queues, I highly recommend for a fun day out of the heat. The reviews I read before I went nearly made me not go, I don’t understand some people’s expectations, it was so much better than the reviews and one of my best watermark experiences. The teens had a great time too.

The Fountain of the Incarnation takes its name from the square where it is located, and is considered the oldest public fountain in the city. This historic piece, dating from the 18th century (approximately 1720), is the oldest urban fountain in Seville still preserved in its original location (following a recent restoration in 2023). It was originally designed to supply drinking water to the city's residents, receiving its flow from the old Carmona Aqueduct. It features a simple Baroque design, carved in stone with a circular basin and a decorated central pillar, and has become a popular resting spot for visitors who appreciate the contrast between the classical fountain and the modern architecture of the Metropol Parasol (Las Setas).
Jorge Rguez★★★★☆
Non-potable water fountain. Old, notable for its jets, sculpture, and upper coat of arms. You can sit and rest with views of the Metropol Parasol (Las Setas) and the Church of the Incarnation. I've included a close-up photo and a view of the Metropol Parasol from above.

What a cool place to take a tour and see all the cool aspects and history. We bought tickets at the door. The place was pretty quiet and only a few other guests. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. The walking tour is organized and leads you around through artwork, informational pieces and all the artifacts. You end up walking right into the ring and can sit in the stands and take some cool photos.

Definitely worth a visit! We bought tickets online and got immediate entry avoiding the queue at the ticket counter and the wait in the sun. The bullring is beautiful with great views from the stands. There was no bullfight when we visited, but the museum was interesting and gave us a good insight into the history of bullfighting in Seville. A must visit!
ThomaS bouhier★★★★★
Awesome place as you can go to the arena grounds. Different feeling then just in the stands. Bought tickets at the counter. Your self gioded tour brings you thru the museum straight to the arena ground. From the ground arsa you can wslk up the stairs to the stands. Overall time 1 hour.
Robert Scott★★★★★
We bought the tickets quickly at the ticket office, which was very convenient. It was also interesting to visit the small museum — it is compact, but it gives a nice sense of the history of the place. There is currently construction work going on in the arena itself, so part of the view is limited, but it did not spoil the overall impression. The Maestranza is one of the most famous historic bullrings in Spain. It is closely connected with the history of Seville, and the construction of the current arena began in the 18th century. Even with the ongoing works, it was still a very атмосферный and memorable place to visit.
Eoin Heneghan★★★★★
This building is over 250 years old and still used for around 20 live bull fighting events annually now. A bit like the Colosseum in Rome, this is one of those places you should definitely see when you’re in Seville. (Unlike the Colosseum you can see it all comfortably in 20 minutes!) It’s one of the top 5 oldest bull rings in the world still in active operation with 20+ live events during the active season. As a tourist you can walk through the backstage corridors and some of the rooms, take a relaxed stroll across and around the ring itself looking up at the seats and sky. And then you can chill for a while sitting in the arena seats. At €12 per person this is a no brainer, and should definitely be on your itinerary if you go to Seville even for one day. Highly recommend.

Essential Tips for Visiting Attractions Near Isla Mágica

Navigating the area around Isla Mágica is relatively straightforward, but a little local knowledge goes a long way in ensuring a stress-free day. The combination of Seville’s hot climate and the walking distances between sites requires some preparation. By planning your route logically, you can save time, money, and energy, allowing you to see more without feeling rushed or exhausted.

  • Utilize the River Paths: The area around the Guadalquivir River is flat and scenic, making it perfect for walking or cycling. Instead of taking taxis between nearby attractions, use the pedestrian-friendly promenades to enjoy the breeze and avoid traffic.
  • Visit Early or Late: The Andalusian sun is strongest between 2 PM and 5 PM. Schedule your visit to outdoor attractions like the monastery gardens or the Triana market for the morning or late afternoon to avoid the peak heat.
  • Check Combined Tickets: Some historical sites in Seville offer combined entry passes or free admission hours, usually on Monday afternoons. Check the official websites before purchasing individual tickets to save money.
  • Cross the Triana Bridge on Foot: While public transport is efficient, walking across the Puente de Triana offers the best views of the river and the city skyline. It is also the quickest way to reach the vibrant ceramic shops and tapas bars from the park area.
  • Dress for the Culture: Even though you are visiting a theme park, remember that many nearby attractions are active religious sites or historical monuments. Carry a light scarf or shawl to cover shoulders and knees when entering churches or the monastery.

Exploring the surroundings of Isla Mágica offers a rare opportunity to see two distinct sides of Seville in a single day. You can start your morning screaming on a roller coaster and end your afternoon standing in the quiet halls of a Gothic monastery. This contrast is what makes the location so unique for visitors who want a bit of everything.

Ultimately, the best way to experience this area is to pace yourself. Allow the river to guide you from the artificial excitement of the park to the authentic, time-worn streets of Seville. By mixing leisure with learning, your trip to Isla Mágica becomes more than just a day at an amusement park—it becomes a gateway to the heart of Andalusia.
