Valencia is famous for its futuristic architecture, sun-drenched beaches, and the culinary masterpiece that is paella. Yet, for nature lovers and families, the city offers a unique gateway to the wild. As a visitor to Valencia, I am blown away at how beautiful and wide stretching this park is. It makes a great cut through, or just a nice place to walk. Lots of dogs!
Ambroise NICOLAO★★★★★
I was looking for a place to sleep in my silly hammock as my silly friend didn’t understand what day I arrived to Valencia coming from the C of Poland, and couldn’t host me that night.
I found the park very welcoming at 2am and I felt safe.
I first tried to set up my hammock on top of the hill in the southeast. However, the wind was strong and there were some Begu already relaxing there.
I then looked for a more sheltered spot on the opposite side of the hill.
It turned out to be a great place, as I was hidden by bushes from early morning joggers and night Begu.
The night was cool (17°) for a silly Begi with no sleeping Begu, but I managed to stay warm enough until the sunrise saved my cold self from turning into ice cubes.
I wasn’t woken up by the police in the morning (unlike in Almeria), none of my stuff went missing, and no late-night Begu caused any trouble near my tree.
The sunrise was very pretty. It’s a good idea to hang out there early in the morning.
Overall, a great experience—I left to catch a FREEEEE bus at the station 2km east.
Highly recommend spending a night here if you’re in a similar situation.

Wonderful landscaped park with Asian and European trees.
At the lake you can rent a pedal boat with the shape of a dragon, swan, flamingo etc.
The small restaurant is great for a coffee or small lunch.
Don't forget to walk up to the top of the hill to enjoy the view.

I really liked the park. Very large, a place for a picnic. Beautiful nature, animals. Turtles that crawled to the shore, giant fish in the river. Very pleasant impressions and a beautiful sunset ❤️🥰 I recommend visiting

It’s my second time here, and it’s definitely worth the visit.
I was a little hesitant at first because the price felt quite hefty, but once I actually got inside, I understood why. The aquariums were very well taken care of, the fish had wonderful environments, and there was plenty of information throughout the aquarium. There were also lots of cute areas for both kids and adults to explore and learn more about the different environments.
Having visited other aquariums where the animals’ sadness and lack of stimulation felt quite evident, I really appreciated that this didn’t seem to be the case here. The animals appeared well cared for, and the environments felt thoughtfully designed.
We also stayed for the dolphin show, and it was clear that the dolphins are well looked after. There is also a lot of information about the work that goes on behind the scenes, from caring for and studying the animals to conservation and rescue efforts, which I really appreciated.
The staff were polite and helpful, and overall, it was a really enjoyable visit. Definitely recommend it!
Pasan Sensouk★★★★☆
If you’ve been to major aquariums before, this one might not blow you away. However, if it’s your first time—or if you're visiting with kids—it’s definitely worth a visit! The kids will absolutely love it.
The aquarium tunnel was a nice highlight, though the rest of the exhibits felt a bit small, with only a few animals representing each species. The dolphin show was cute, but it felt a little too short and simple compared to what we expected.
That said, it’s still a great spot for families. You can easily spend a few hours here enjoying the exhibits, and there are plenty of food and drink options on-site to keep everyone happy.

A fantastic place to visit in Valencia! The Oceanogràfic is beautifully designed and home to an incredible variety of marine life from around the world. The underwater tunnel was a highlight, offering amazing views of sharks and rays swimming overhead.
The exhibits are well maintained, educational, and enjoyable for both adults and children. Plan to spend at least half a day here to fully explore everything. Definitely one of the top attractions in Valencia and well worth the visit!
Arzu Avci★★★★☆
Our visit was in December 2025. The architecture and landscaping throughout the park were truly impressive. The variety of fish and marine life on display was amazing, making it a fascinating experience for both children and adults.
The tickets were a bit on the expensive side in our opinion. Visiting as a family of eight definitely makes you think twice about whether the cost is worth it.
If you plan to visit, I highly recommend arriving in the morning or around midday. Try not to visit only one or two hours before closing time, as we did. We had to rush through many areas and couldn’t fully explore the entire park, which was a little disappointing considering the ticket price.
Despite that, we still had a great experience and would definitely recommend visiting Oceanogràfic Valencia. Just make sure to allow yourself enough time to enjoy everything it has to offer.

That was an outstanding place to see in Valencia ❤️. We enjoyed every minute. It's perfectly prepared for big crowds in terms of finding delicious food and clean toilets. However the most important was to see so many beautiful creatures and wonderful show of 🐬. You will spend there many hours to enjoy the beauty of animals and plants living in the sea / oceans. Absolutely gorgeous 🥰 experience.

We visited Jardín del Turia several times while in Valencia and it is a fantastic place to walk through and enjoy.
The park is absolutely huge, with plenty of space to wander, relax and explore. There is lots to see along the way and some of the architecture around the park is beautiful, with a really striking and futuristic feel in places.
It is also a lovely place simply to slow down for a while. There are plenty of shaded areas beneath the trees, so it would be perfect for taking a picnic and spending a few hours there.
A brilliant green space running through the city and somewhere we were very happy to return to several times during our stay.
Stefano De Lee★★★★☆
Jardín del Turia is a massive green park stretching for around 9 kilometres through the city, with walking and cycling paths, gardens, palm trees, sports areas, playgrounds and plenty of places to simply sit and relax.
What makes the park particularly interesting is its history. The park was created in the former riverbed of the Turia River after a devastating flood in 1957. Rather than allowing the riverbed to remain empty after the river was diverted south of the city, Valencia transformed it into one of Spain’s largest urban parks. It’s a pretty remarkable example of turning a major urban problem into something that benefits the entire city.
As you walk through the park, you can see how it connects many of Valencia’s highlights. It runs underneath and alongside several historic bridges, some of which date back centuries. The park also leads towards the impressive City of Arts and Sciences, making it a great route for exploring different parts of Valencia on foot or by bicycle.
It’s hard to believe that this peaceful, green space was once a river running through the city. There is so much room that even with plenty of people around, it never felt overwhelmingly crowded.
A beautiful, unique and enormous park that is absolutely worth exploring when visiting Valencia. Whether you want to walk, cycle, exercise, have a picnic or simply escape the busy city streets for a while, Jardín del Turia has something to offer.
Esra Ece Var★★★★★
This park is incredibly well-designed with separate paths for walking, running, and cycling, making it super safe and organized. It has such a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere; you can easily spot people dancing, practicing yoga, or just chilling.
There are plenty of benches to rest on and kiosks scattered around. These kiosks offer great options, ranging from alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to sweet/savory snacks and filling meals. It's truly a perfect park where people of all ages can have a great time!
Iryna Shchukina★★★★★
Jardí del Túria is a beautiful and peaceful park that stretches through the heart of Valencia. It’s perfect for walking, cycling, or simply relaxing while enjoying the greenery and views of the city. The gardens, bridges, and pathways make it a lovely spot to escape the city’s bustle. A must-visit for anyone wanting to enjoy nature right in Valencia! 🌿🚴♂️

A magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Valencia’s architectural treasures. The Gothic design is stunning, and the interior columns are truly impressive. A must visit for anyone interested in history, culture and architecture. 👍 👌
Abdulla Harees★★★★★
The La Lonja de la Seda is one of the finest examples of Gothic civil architecture in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the heart of Valencia, it was once the centre of Valencia’s thriving silk trade and reflects the city’s wealth during the 15th century.
Inside, the grand trading hall is the highlight, with its soaring twisted columns and elegant vaulted ceilings creating an impressive and almost cathedral-like atmosphere. The peaceful courtyard and beautifully preserved architecture make it easy to appreciate the building’s historical significance.
Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or photography, it’s one of Valencia’s must-see landmarks.
Tim Smith★★★★☆
An interesting blend of moorish and European architecture. The main hall is a wonderful airy hypostyle hall with beautiful light columns and fan vaulting. The other rooms have fantastic wooden ceilings. Look out for some of the details in the carvings. Some very skilled work with a sense of humour. The courtyard is highly influenced by moorish tradition.
When we visited, it was not crowded and no queue to get in.
Mace Windup★★★★★
A truly beautiful building which only cost me 2 Euros' entry. Different rooms with different styles. Sunny day made the orange trees and courtyard a Mediterranean dream. It doesn't take long to get around the whole place but it was well worth it.

Really cute little experience for €2 each. Lovely courtyard with orange/lemon trees. Beautiful spiral pillars and ceilings.
We would just like to have had a few information points as to what we were actually looking at?

A great experience for everyone, whether solo, couple, group /family. Lots to do and see. Océanographic is a must, and without doubt, one of the most popular destinations in the park. It can get busy but never seemed to be overpowering in any way. Everything is well catered and loads of places for coffee, snacks, food and hydration. To do the park justice, you would probably need a full day there, if your itinerary would fit that. Give yourself at least 3-4 hours to get a good look around and value for your money. If I had any criticism, it would be the car park. It is well attended and easily accessed. However, it claims that with a ticket, you get parking for €7 for the day. We had two tickets and the machine wouldn't read or accept them, so we had to pay €12.60 to get out again. No-one there to help.

Even though I didn’t go inside the buildings, visiting the City of Arts and Sciences was still an amazing experience. The architecture is unlike anything I’ve seen before, and the entire area has a unique atmosphere that makes it worth visiting.
Everything was very clean and well maintained, and it’s a lovely place to walk around, take photos, and simply admire the impressive design of the buildings. Every angle offers something different, and you can really appreciate the creativity behind the architecture.
Overall, it’s one of the most iconic places in Valencia and definitely worth adding to your itinerary, even if you only explore the outside.

**A Must-Visit Architectural Masterpiece in Valencia**
The City of Arts and Sciences was one of the highlights of my trip to Valencia. I instantly fell in love with its breathtaking futuristic architecture — every building looks like it's straight out of a sci-fi movie. Every corner is incredibly photogenic, and I found myself stopping every few minutes just to admire the design.
One of the best things is that you can explore the entire complex and admire the architecture for free. It's a wonderful place to take a leisurely stroll, relax by the water, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you have more time, don't miss the Oceanogràfic, Europe's largest aquarium, which is also located within the complex and is definitely worth visiting.
Whether you're an architecture lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply exploring Valencia, this place is an absolute must-see. I would happily visit again!
Don MacAuslan★★★★☆
We walked from the cruise port to old town. In hindsight it would be better to catch a taxi and start your walk here. Modern architecture in parkland setting. Walk from here to old town via the park. Beautiful!

An absolutely beautiful place with so much to see. The architecture is stunning and makes the whole complex feel unique and special. It’s a huge area, so you can easily spend hours just walking around and exploring. The mix of museums, open spaces, and water features creates a really nice atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the city

Fairly good museum, good value for the money - I'd pay even without the exhibits just to see this beautiful building on the inside. Some of the exhibits were not to my taste but if you like interactive stuff you'll have a good time with them. Not all exhibits are available in English!!! Most of the ones that don't actually have QR codes which will send you to a page with the english translation of the text, but it's still clunky and it takes away from the experience. The most interesting part was on the first floor - an exhibition all about the City of Arts and Sciences and the buildings inside of it. Tremendously insightful, especially if you study anything related to civil engineering like I do.

We visited the Science Museum (*Museu de les Ciències*) with our two kids, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Valencia. The architecture outside is stunning, but the inside is where the real fun start. Almost everything is interactive, touchable, and designed to get kids exploring.
Our children loved the hands-on science experiments, space exhibits, and interactive play zones, while we appreciated how spacious, clean, and engaging it was for all ages. It’s the perfect blend of learning and play. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Valencia with family!
Norbert Kreidt★★★★★
The Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe is a stunning part of the City of Arts and Sciences, immediately catching the eye with its extraordinary architecture that resembles the skeleton of a whale. In contrast to traditional museums, the motto here is: "Forbidden not to touch, not to feel, and not to think." Across several floors, the museum offers a vast array of interactive exhibits covering topics such as biology, physics, technology, and the human body. It is a place that presents complex scientific concepts in a playful and accessible way for all ages. The massive glass facades are particularly fascinating, flooding the interior with natural light and providing constant, fantastic views of the surrounding pools. The combination of avant-garde design and the educational mission to spark curiosity makes the museum one of the most vibrant and inspiring places in all of Valencia.
Viktoriia Shcherbakova★★★★★
We visited the Science Museum in Valencia and it was a really interesting experience. The building itself is impressive, very modern and spacious, and already worth seeing even before you go inside.
The museum has a lot of interactive exhibits, which makes it much more engaging than a typical museum. There is a good mix of science, technology, and hands-on activities, so you can explore things at your own pace. Some areas are especially fun and easy to understand, even if you are not very into science.
We also enjoyed the variety of displays, from space and engineering to more creative and visual installations. It feels quite diverse, so you don’t get bored walking through it.
That said, some parts are more suited to children, so adults might find certain sections a bit simple. Still, there is enough to keep you interested, especially if you like interactive experiences.
Overall, it’s a great place to visit, especially if you are travelling with kids, but also enjoyable for adults who are curious and want something a bit different.
Abdulla Harees★★★★★
The Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe is one of the highlights of the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) in Valencia. Its futuristic architecture is impressive on its own, but the interactive exhibits inside make it even more enjoyable.
The museum focuses on science, technology, and innovation through hands-on displays that are engaging for both children and adults. From physics and space to biology and engineering, the exhibitions make learning fun and easy to understand.
Even if you're not a science enthusiast, the building and its unique design make it worth visiting.
Overall, it’s interactive, educational, and one of Valencia’s best attractions.

This is a public park with a bronze statue of King James I (the Conquerer) who reconquered Valencia from the Almoravids in 1238 (after El Cid conquered it in 1094, and then his wife, Jimena7 tried to defend it, but lost it an burned it and abandoned it). What an awesome idea! So creative to make a giant pirate into a playground. My 7 and 10 year old loved this free stop on our cruise! I even joined in the fun and went down some of the slides. Inside the hat is a small version of the entire pirate playground. Very accessible for all kids and adults.

Nothing can replace a shot taken by a drone, but if you fly from the side of the park (left or right) you will have the best impression of the size of the toy in question. Fantastically designed, take children only if you are fit. 😀 There is no entrance fee, the toilets are clean, and drinking water is available from the tap all the way on the other side of the entrance (in the part of the park with benches). You can easily reach it by taxi and public transport (bus 95) from the center, and right next to it is the city of science and art.

Loads of fun for free, what's not to like? Our 5yo loved this playground and we, adults, had fun playing with him. It really is suitable to all ages.
A few benches and a free water fountain are available to provide some rest as well.
Only downside is that it can get very very busy at certain times.

By day, this place is a perfect blend of modern architecture and nature, creating a stunning view that is a true feast for the eyes. It’s an amazing spot for a picnic, reading a book, or just relaxing. By night, when the sky turns dark, the venue lights up and can be seen from afar. L’Umbracle is far more than just a shaded walkway; it is a stunning combination of a botanical garden and an open-air modern art gallery. The monumental structure consists of a series of high, white arches stretching for hundreds of meters, housing a wide variety of native plant species and tropical vegetation. As you stroll among the palm trees and fragrant flowers, you enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the entire futuristic City of Arts and Sciences complex. The "Stroll of the Sculptures" is particularly charming, featuring contemporary artworks perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. In the evening, a portion of L’Umbracle transforms into an exclusive open-air club, making this location a true symbol of Valencia's vibrant lifestyle and elegant design.

Great place for lounging. Good atmosphere and the venue looks amazing. Prices are high (beer €8, entrance at the door €27). We stayed for an hour and then got bored. There wasn’t much going on at Thursday night. Rather lounging than partying. Wanted to visit the dance club downstairs, but couldn’t get in with the same ticket until after around 4 am, which was really disappointing. That’s why we left. So make sure you make the right decision about lounging or partying before you enter.

Spectacular performance suitable for both adults and kids! Worth every cent! The show lasts a full 2 hours with a 10–15 minute intermission.
The first part is more for children, I would say, but still very fun, with clowns and a Christmas story, choreography and air show. The second part is more like a classic circus performance with magic and risky tricks.
The whole show is accompanied by a live singer! Inside is very warm, you dont need a coat. The only thing I would recommend is to take earplugs just in case it would be too loud for you.
I totally recommend this circus, especially if you’re looking to uplift Christmas spirit!

Essential Tips for Exploring Near Bioparc Valencia
To make the most of your time outside the zoo, a little local knowledge goes a long way. The area surrounding Bioparc is one of the most well-connected and pedestrian-friendly zones in Valencia, but knowing how to navigate it will save you time and energy. Here are some insider tips to help you transition from wildlife viewing to sightseeing like a local.
1. Utilize the Turia Gardens as your highway
The old riverbed is not just a park; it is the most efficient and beautiful way to travel east or west without dealing with traffic. Rent a bike or simply walk. The gardens connect Bioparc directly to the City of Arts and Sciences and the historic center, offering shade and water fountains along the way.
2. Time your visit to beat the heat
Valencia can be intensely hot, especially between June and September. If you plan to visit Bioparc in the morning when animals are most active, schedule your visit to nearby outdoor monuments, like the towers or the beach, for the late afternoon. Alternatively, use the midday heat to visit indoor attractions like the museums.
3. Look beyond the metro for buses
While the metro is efficient, the EMT bus lines (such as the 95 or 73) often drop you closer to specific entrances of the Turia Gardens and the Cabanyal district than the train stations. Check a map app for the fastest route from your exact location to avoid unnecessary walking in the heat.
4. Validate your transport tickets correctly
If you are using public transport to reach places like the beach or the old town, remember that Valencia uses a contactless card system (SUMA or Mobilis). You can share a card between multiple people, but you must validate it once per person, per journey at the machine when boarding the bus or entering the metro platform.
5. Schedule a siesta lunch
Spanish dining hours differ significantly from other countries. Many restaurants close their kitchens between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. If you finish at Bioparc around lunchtime, eat immediately at a nearby restaurant in the Mestalla or Gran Vía area, or wait until after 8:30 PM for dinner.
