When hunger strikes in the Venice of the Alps, the sheer variety of dining options can feel overwhelming. While Annecy is renowned for its upscale gastronomy and traditional Savoyard restaurants, sometimes you simply need a meal that is fast, affordable, and satisfying. Whether you are a traveler trying to maximize time on the lake or a local looking for a quick lunch between meetings, the city’s fast food scene has evolved far beyond the standard global chains.
The definition of "fast food" in Annecy is beautifully blurred with quality. Here, speed does not necessarily mean sacrificing the region’s culinary integrity. You will find everything from gourmet burgers made with local Reblochon cheese to quick-service kebab shops that have become local institutions. This guide focuses on spots where you can get in and out quickly without compromising on flavor.
We have scoured the old town and the areas surrounding the lake to bring you a curated list of options that prioritize efficiency. Many of these locations offer takeaway options, allowing you to grab a bite and enjoy it by the pristine waters of Lake Annecy or in the shade of the Château d’Annecy. It is the perfect way to combine convenience with the local atmosphere.
In this guide, we prioritize establishments that offer consistent quality, speed of service, and value for money. We have considered not just the food, but the overall experience, including location and the ease of ordering. Whether you crave a juicy smash burger, a fresh falafel wrap, or a classic French taco, this list has you covered.
Below, you will find our handpicked selection of the best spots to grab a quick bite in Annecy. We have intentionally included a diverse range of cuisines to ensure there is something for every palate and dietary preference, all while keeping your schedule in mind.

Absolutely did not expect the food to be this good! The steak sandwich was packed with flavor, the meat was tender and well seasoned, and even the sides were fresh and delicious. You can tell they put effort into the quality. Everything we tried was honestly really good, great portions, nice presentation, and overall a very satisfying experience. Definitely coming back again!

The place was lovely and the food was even better. The meat was very flavourful and tender. Will definitely come back here if I’m in Annecy again. Thanks for making our experience great!

One of my favorite restaurants in Annecy.
- A big variety of items, from naan wraps, to burgers, to chicken strips all taste delicious.
- Staff are friendly, you can deal with them if you don't speak French.
- Food is (Delicious), try the chef wrap, and the spicy chicken sandwiches, but other items would taste great as well.
- The place is cozy, with a lovely atmosphere, and it stays open late.

Not as big as it looks in the picture—at first glance you might be like what it is! but it's just the size of a person. The taste is truly amazing. I could get two burgers instead of whole menu.
Zakaria Bajwa★★★★★
If you are in Anncey and looking for a very good food to eat then this is the location.
Yupie K★★★★☆
Staff are really friendly and the food is good too. The naan burgers don't look as good as on the image but they still taste good. They're a little more difficult to eat as they're not very stiff and so you can't take the burger out of the foil. I think I would prefer a regular burger over the naan burger.
There was a bit of a wait to get my order but this wasn't really the fault of the staff as it was very busy.
Abdulrahman Al-Amri★★★★★
This is by far the best burger I have ever tried, hands down. Big portion, fresh ingredients, food arrived hot and well packaged. Tried the Menu Naan Burger Master Naan. Does not disappoint.

Screen to order food was easy to use. Price of food was reasonable. However, chicken was very over cooked, fries were cold and the taste of both was terrible. I can't imagine that too many people go here twice.
Chaitanya Reddy S★★☆☆☆
Hopeless food. The fried chicken was literally from hours ago just shoved into the naan. I really can’t understand how it’s rated well. Or maybe that’s how they treat tourists.

One of the best chicken places. Very family friendly. The nan wrapping is a cult.

Devon Harris★★★★★
Good food, good service, and a clean dining area. If you are visiting and don't speak the language ordering from the kiosk makes for "no stress" meal selection. The chicken is deliciously seasoned and the naan is light and soft. Fries are good but you'll have to salt them yourself.

I placed an order yesterday on Uber Eats for €67.55. It was for two taco and crispy tandoori meals with a drink. Just so you know, on Uber Eats the fries from the meal are sold separately—I don't know why the meal only includes the sandwich and the drink. Anyway, I added sweet potato fries for €6.75 a portion to both meals, so €13.50 for the two portions, and in the end, I received limp, undercooked fries. Similarly, I ordered two regular Cokes and one Coke Zero, and I received three Oranginas. The order was completely misrepresented. But the worst part is the sweet potato fries—€13.50 paid for them and they were undercooked. I've attached photos.

This young entrepreneur is amazing… so welcoming.
I tried the rotisserie chicken leg, which was delicious with a lovely homemade sauce and melt-in-your-mouth homemade potatoes.
I recommend this place for a snack; everything is well-prepared, tasty, and inexpensive. The parking right in front is very convenient.

Absolutely the best burger I’ve ever had in Annecy! The flavors are incredible — juicy meat, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced sauces. The staff are so welcoming and kind, they make you feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!

After queuing for ages and finally attempting to order we were unable to find any plant based burger options on the automated order screen at the entrance. The online menu clearly stipulated that vegetarian options were available for each of the meat based variety .
We eventually managed to speak to a server who stated we only serve beef and chicken .
With no menus on display outside your restaurant and only an online menu at least act professional and maintain it up to date.

decent burger, but after a few bites there was barely any flavour, fries were okay and a bit too oily

Wandered by here and was curious about having something different to eat while in Annecy. Being from Canada the tacos they were serving up were really burritos. They were huge, filling and delicious. Great value dinner and we took home leftovers. Our group ordered a burger, and a couple of their “tacos” - a chicken/boursin one and a kebab one. Everything was excellent. My French is not very strong but the staff were very helpful and extremely kind. This is an Annecy gem!
Saher R★★★★☆
Eat Nice Huge Tacos Here.
- There is a huge variety of sauces to put into your tacos, would suggest some spicy Harrisa, and Algerian or white sauce (don't know its name).
- Prices are Average, but the meals are huge.
- Rating: Above Average (would go back).

The hygiene and food quality at this establishment were extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend it.
During my visit, I observed the person preparing the food touching their mouth and face before handling the ingredients. Additionally, they used a toothpick and then continued cooking without proper hygiene practices. The meat tasted as if it had just come out of a freezer. This was not only an expensive experience but also a poor one. I strongly advise against visiting this place.
Arslan Hamid★★★★★
Initially went there to use toilet, which they gladly allowed. After looking at their menu and the crispy chicken aroma, decided to order a 5 piece fried chicken meal for just 8.90 Euros. The chicken was AMAZING! It was tender, juicy, perfectly fried yet no traces of oil. Fries were great too. The meal was much better than KFC. Price was also so affordable.
Jason Corey★★☆☆☆
Food wasn’t very good. Quality seemed poor and it was just drenched with sauce. Their tacos are not real tacos.

Accidentally came across this place and decided to have a trek along. Arrived just in time for them opening and was quickly seated by the friendly staff.
I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of the size of poutine portion and considered also ordering a burger but thought it might be overkill so instead settled on the Toronto poutine with a side of wings. Man I was not let down, the portion of poutine was massive and really filling. I was still glad to have the wings though, nice and hot in a crispy batter. The poutine itself was lovely, nice and crispy with loads of cheese.
Value for money was very decent. Would definitely return again.

I ordered the Chicken Salad (10/10) and the Brooklyn Burger (6/10). The salad was excellent, but the burger had a small portion of meat and the bun was dry. The service, however, was super great!

I ordered crispy chicken burger and toronto poutine. Everything was very delicious and fresh. We got everything we ordered after 10 mins. They’re really quick.
We left satisfied and would definitely come back.
Serban D★★★★☆
I would recommend going for the poutine in this place. It was really good and it rare to find good poutine in Europe. The burgers were not that great and its mostly beacause of the ground beef quality so thats why im focusing on the poutine. Try the classic (Montreal one). Also as a bonus they have Boylans soda!

We tried the two signature burgers, pistachio and truffle. Both were amazing with very unique sauces. The fries were also excellent. Highly recommended. We got the burgers takeaway that’s why we don’t review the atmosphere but the guy there was very friendly and prepared everything carefully.

Le Rolls Burgers is not just any burger place.
You can truly taste the passion and love put into every burger .. a perfect mix of juicy meat and melted cheese wrapped in crispy French fries.
If I ever return to Annecy, France, this will definitely be one of my stops again.
Roly Harrison★★★★★
We'd had a read of the reviews of Le Rolls and sounded good. With the weather looking iffy we opted to takeaway.
We ordered the Cheesy Double Bacon and two Le Monte Racelletes with Fries. The burgers are all cooked fresh to perfection so it takes awhile to get your hands on the burgers.
When you do you won't be disappointed. Pattys were really tasty & with just the "messy" but right toppings.
Place is near the station and well worth a visit. Next time I think we'll try their smash burgers.

Juicy fresh burgers (even smash was juicy) matches the price. Staff are kind, helpful, and friendly. The cozy small store gives the vibe of a classic burger shop. Good job!

An outstanding burger served by outstanding people! I assume this is the best burger in town, because we didn't need to try any others after we went here. Deserving of every five star review.

Wasn't very English friendly but that's fine, service would probably be different with a French customer. Fries were rather long, I'm not sure whether I liked them a lot. The chicken on the meau is quite misleading though, you get just fried chicken and not crusty fried chicken as advertised.

Great customer service!! I ordered a meal which came with chips and a drink. I asked if I could get an additional bottle of water (which I would pay for) and the staff gave it to me for free and said it was on him. As we went to get our meal, we were given the option to choose from about 6 different sauces, he explained what they all were, I asked what one of them was again and he just smiled and put all of them in our take away bag. My partner ordered just a wrap on its own and when we got home we realised they had also given him an extra chips. They were super friendly and went above and beyond! Thank you 😃

Tips for Choosing Fast Food in Annecy
To ensure you have the best possible dining experience without wasting precious time, there are a few local nuances to keep in mind. Navigating the culinary landscape of a tourist-heavy city like Annecy requires a bit of strategy, especially during peak seasons. Here are some expert tips to help you eat quickly and well.
Avoid Peak Tourist Hours: The old town becomes incredibly congested between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM. If you want to avoid long lines at popular burger joints or kebab shops, try to eat an early lunch around 11:30 AM or a late lunch after 1:30 PM. This will save you significant waiting time.
Consider the "Places to Sit" Factor: Many fast food spots in the historic center have very limited indoor seating. If you are ordering takeaway, plan where you will eat. Walking to the nearby Pâquier or the lakeshore is a popular option, but remember that eating on the grass is sometimes restricted; look for public benches.
Look for the "Formule" or "Menu": Almost all fast food restaurants in France offer a "formule" or set menu that includes a main item, a side (usually fries), and a drink. This is almost always significantly cheaper than ordering items à la carte. Always check the board for these combo deals.
Embrace Local Specialties in Fast Form: You don’t have to eat at a sit-down brasserie to taste Savoyard flavors. Many quick-service spots offer burgers topped with Reblochon cheese or bacon, or hot dogs featuring Diot sausage. Look for these local twists on classic fast food to get a taste of the region quickly.
Check Local Opening Hours: Unlike major metropolitan cities, many independent fast food spots in Annecy close between lunch and dinner service (roughly 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM). If you are hungry at 4:00 PM, your options may be limited to bakeries or international chains, so plan your eating schedule accordingly.
Whether you are refueling after a bike ride around the lake or taking a break from sightseeing, these quick-service gems prove that fast food in Annecy can be a memorable part of your trip. By choosing wisely and timing your visit right, you can enjoy the city’s vibrant street food culture without the wait of a traditional restaurant.
