Cannes may be synonymous with red carpets and superyachts, but beyond the glitz of La Croisette lies a thriving specialty coffee and design culture. For those who appreciate interiors as much as espresso, the city offers a surprising number of spaces that blur the line between art gallery and café. Whether you are a digital nomad seeking inspiration or a traveler hunting for the perfect flat lay, the aesthetic appeal of a venue is often just as important as the menu.
The modern café scene in Cannes has evolved significantly, moving away from traditional French brasseries toward minimalist, coastal, and bohemian concepts. These spaces are characterized by natural light, curated color palettes, and architectural details that honor the French Riviera’s glamorous history while embracing contemporary trends. Finding these hidden gems often requires stepping away from the main tourist arteries and exploring the charming backstreets of Le Suquet or the Rue d’Antibes.
In this guide, we focus on venues that offer a holistic sensory experience. We have considered the quality of the coffee and patisserie, but we have placed a heavy emphasis on visual identity, ambiance, and the uniqueness of the décor. These are places where you can linger for hours, enjoying the atmosphere as much as the caffeine. From terrazzo tabletops to lush jungle terraces, the variety of design languages found in Cannes is truly impressive.
Many of these establishments are independently owned, with owners who have poured their personal taste into every corner of the room. This often translates to a higher level of detail, from the choice of ceramic cups to the curation of background music. It is this authenticity and attention to detail that separates a truly aesthetic café from a generic coffee chain. You are not just buying a latte; you are renting a moment in a carefully crafted environment.
We have curated this list to help you navigate the most photogenic and atmospheric spots the city has to offer. Whether your aesthetic leans toward Scandinavian minimalism, Art Deco opulence, or tropical greenery, Cannes has a venue to match your mood. These locations are perfect for a morning pick-me-up, a light lunch, or an afternoon aperitivo.
Below is our selection of the most visually stunning and high-quality coffee spots currently operating in the city.

My brother took me to this place after our late brunch, and the coffee barista was so friendly and talkative. He looks like our old friend from uni.
Overall, it’s such a cosy and unique little place. Sitting outside, enjoying the sunshine with a good coffee, was just perfect. ☕️☀️
Abdulrahman Bafaraj★★★★☆
Nice specialty coffee spot with a relaxed atmosphere.
Ordered the Cold Brew Tonic (€7.00) and a Pistachio Apolline (€2.50). The Cold Brew Tonic was refreshing and perfect for a warm day. The Pistachio Apolline was okay, but nothing special — not something I would specifically recommend.
Good coffee quality and a nice place to stop by while exploring Cannes.
Overall: Worth visiting for the coffee, especially the Cold Brew Tonic 👍☕️.
Rebeka Havasi★★★★★
France no1 specialty coffee place in 2025 (European coffee trip awards). A very nice blend, very balanced. Nice atmosphere in old town Cannes. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

A hidden gem for specialty coffee in Cannes! I visited the location near the Hilton canope and the beach ,and it was easily one of the best coffee experiences I’ve had in France.
Finding truly great coffee in Cannes isn’t always easy, but this place absolutely delivers. The coffee was exceptional—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
What made the experience even better was the service. The barista was incredibly friendly, took the time to explain the different coffee varieties, and recommended a particular coffee that ended up being absolutely delicious.
If you’re a coffee lover and looking for quality specialty coffee in Cannes, I highly recommend this place. Great coffee, great service, and an experience I’ll definitely come back for.
Alex Danielewski★★★★★
Delicious coffee prepared with high attention to detail! Hands down best one we had in Cannes.
On the pricy side (5.5€ for a flat white) but totally worth it!

One of the best places to get a coffee in all of Cannes, and a true Italian gem. The sheer number of items they’re able to produce in this little stand is a testament to their genius! A sleeper hit is the juice menu, each blend is only 6 euros, quite a bit cheaper than either juice stand at Marché Forville. They blend the juice with ice so it’s somewhere between a smoothie and a cold pressed juice. That and the noisette are my favorites.
Bartek Niebrzydowski★★★★★
This was our daily stop for delicious coffee. I highly recommend this place. Great service.

Tugged away but right off the busy area. A tiny gem of authentic Italian coffee and pastry/cookie. It’s busy cos it’s good but it’s nice to have a great coffee at the right price!
Hedda Chedda★★★★★
Yes please. I came here every morning during my stay in Cannes and this is the most comfortable I've ever been ordering from and then drinking my espresso at an Italian walk up bar.
When I stopped by at a smidge after 7 on my last day, the apricot croissant I had was still warm.
The espresso was so tasty for this lukewarm coffee lover. However, I love a good shot of it when I'm in Italy and this place is the real deal in France. I purchased a pack of 10 Nespresso compatible pods with the hope of recreating my experience at home.

Lollocaffee: A Wonderful, Cozy, and Unpretentious Espresso Coffee Bar
Located just 100 feet off the square, Lollocaffee is a delightful walk-up coffee bar that offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. The service is always welcoming, and the coffee is top-notch, making it a must-visit spot for coffee enthusiasts. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable, making it accessible to everyone.
The café has a modest yet diverse selection of beverages, including a variety of coffee drinks, juices, waters, teas, and fun concoctions, alongside a variety of small pastries. If Lollocaffee doesn't have the pastry you want, there is a pastry shop 25ft away. ~Whether you're looking for a quick dash or prefer to savor your drink at the bar, they have you covered. For those who choose to stay and enjoy their beverage at the bar, the coffee is thoughtfully served in a ceramic cup with a saucer and spoon, providing an authentic experience (my preference).
While seating isn't available, it adds to the charm of this walk-up coffee bar. For American readers unfamiliar with this concept, imagine a well-stocked, fixed lemonade stand staffed by a friendly young man and woman tucked away in a busy small alley filled with modest, touristy retail shops.
During my visits, I opted to enjoy my café crème at the bar. I observed a steady stream of Italians (or Italian speakers) visiting Lollocaffee. They would greet the proprietor, order an espresso, exchange brief conversations with each other and the owner, and then swiftly drink their shot before bidding farewell and strolling down the alley. The quick turnover of guests meant there was always a lively atmosphere, and within minutes, another customer would fill the vacant spot at the bar.
These two photos should give you a glimpse of the ambiance at Lollocaffee. If you appreciate a pleasant, convenient coffee experience, this is the place to be for 2 or 20 minutes.
Overall, Lollocaffee offers an opportunity to enjoy good coffee at a reasonable price in a charming and lively setting. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or a curious traveler, this walk-up coffee bar is worth a visit.

Amazing specialty coffee spot with a stunning view! The coffee was genuinely high quality and the breakfast options were quick, fresh, and perfect for a light morning stop. The view is absolutely incredible and makes the whole experience even better.
A special shoutout to the barista who prepared our coffee — he was Romanian, super friendly, and created such a great vibe. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended if you want great coffee and an unforgettable view!
Vasilisa Premudraya★★★★★
A big thank u to the owners for bringing specialty coffee to Cannes and for opening earlier than most cafes.
It’s a rare and much-appreciated combination✨
Sheyla Arango★★★★★
The best: coffee with a view. Coffee tastes great here and the view of the beach is amazing too. I enjoyed the coffee tonic. Attention is kind. There is a bathroom, and you can charge phones inside. Tables outside are for readers or just to enjoy the view. The bad thing is that I couldn't find any food after midday, only one pain au cioccolat that was good also.
Loredana Lore★★★★★
The coffee was incredible: expertly extracted, beautiful latte art, easily a 10/10. What really stood out was the service the barista even remembered our order the second time we came in. Bravo! Highly recommended.

No doubt, this is the best coffee in Cannes. Very friendly service, excellent coffee, and delicious pastries and snacks. My favorite spot is the one on Boulevard du Midi, with a view of the sea and the mountains. I absolutely love it. Thank you to the owners for opening such a place!

Sauvage has been on my must-visit list in Cannes since I moved here—and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was actually recommended by the owner of another brunch spot, which already set the bar high.
On my first visit, I grabbed an iced coffee to go. It was exactly what I had been searching for—almost impossible to find: a proper double espresso shaken on ice, with no extra water or milk.
The second day, we came back for brunch. The owner was incredibly friendly with everyone, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. We tried the salad and the egg muffin—both excellent and value for money.
I was a bit surprised when my iced coffee came as a cold brew, but they were more than happy to change it without hesitation.
One detail that really impressed me was that the coffee was served in a short glass, exactly as it should be. That’s how we do it in Greece (freddo espresso).
Safe to say, this is one of the best brunch spots in town. Highly recommended. Excellent job, team!
Alex Nabutovsky★★★★★
Absolutely top spot in Cannes. Everything is organic home made from scratch and the roast 5 different types of organic beans every morning. If you love the absolutely best coffee this is it. La Merzocco coffee machine is just a bonus. Coffee barista really knows her business. The owner is super friendly and always welcoming. Amazing breakfast / brunch spot. Sirniki is out of this world ! The absolutely best !!!
Daddy Is Audi★★★★★
Very great experience. The service was great, very friendly and informative. We had 3 dishes because we couldn't decide on what to get, some extras and 2 drinks and just paid over 50 Euros. For my standards that is very cheap. Next time i'll be sure to say i need some more sauce for my brioche, but other than that, everything was just on point.
Chaithra Rao★★★★★
We were looking for a good brunch spot when we arrived in Cannes and came across Cafés Sauvage and I’m so glad we did. The menu immediately stood out, and even though it was busy, we got a table after a short wait.
The smoothie bowl was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We also tried the Turkish eggs and a side of halloumi, both absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the fried chicken and egg sandwich and devoured it in minutes, which says everything.
What really stood out was the creativity of the flavors and the variety on the menu. They were also very accommodating and customized dishes to our preferences, which we appreciated.
This meal was truly the highlight of our day at Cannes. Beautiful presentation, fantastic service, and unforgettable food. This place feels like a hidden gem and is a must visit if you’re in Cannes. We’ll definitely remember this brunch for a long time!
Alessia Deceglie★★★★★

Excellent coffee. The roast is very well done and I studied the brewing techniques, they know what they are doing. If you want a coffee experience as good as it gets, you will not go wrong with this place. I chose the "Coffees of Excellence" with V60, it did not disappoint.
Peter Kremmer★★★★★
Super nice coffee shop where youcan buy a great selection of coffees and teas to take away.
I finally was able to buy Turkish coffee.
Also very nice and good quality equipments.
…and just a little added benefit it was really cool music playing.

We just discovered this café by accident, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The place is very nice, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The coffee drinks are absolutely delicious, with a variety of options including Frappuccinos, regular cappuccinos, and different teas. Each drink was flavorful and aromatic, making it a treat for the senses.
The breakfast options were phenomenal, adding to the overall experience. The sitting area outside was quite hot, but the location of the café is fantastic, making it a pleasant spot to relax. The staff was very friendly and polite, enhancing the welcoming ambiance.
The drinks we tried – two different teas, orange juice, a Frappuccino, and a regular cappuccino – were all excellent. If you're looking for a beautiful place to sit, relax, and enjoy delicious beverages, this café is highly recommended. I will definitely come back next time we visit Cannes.
Denis Nek★★★★☆
I'll be honest. €6 for a cup of tea with macaron is okay for Europe. But for that money I expect to have a rich selection of Chinese and Taiwanese teas from last season's harvest.
Instead for my question of available oolongs I had to drink a very Western-ish version of it called Milky Oolong.
Most of the teas here are flavoured so a good tourist place not for aficionados
Judik Junior★★★★★
Very good place to try different teas and coffees. There are too many choices... I tried cake and tea. Serving good, very delicious tea and cake. Nice atmosphere..

Very good coffee.
The matcha was average.
The menu perfectly reflects the global trend of popular urban cafés.
Due to the lack of real competition in Cannes, the place is almost always crowded. The tables are positioned so close together that you’re practically touching other guests.
Abdulrahman Bafaraj★★★★★
A taste of home in Cannes. Being originally from Dubai, Saddle was a familiar and welcome find during the trip.
Ordered the Avocado Toast (€15) and a Piccolo (€6). The avocado toast was fresh, light, and packed with flavor, while the Piccolo was smooth and perfectly balanced — exactly the quality I’ve come to expect from Saddle.
Overall: Great coffee, fresh food, and a little piece of Dubai on the French Riviera ☕🥑🇦🇪.
Ceylan Köstüre★★★★☆
It was very crowded and noisy when we got there but luckily we didn't have to wait long before we got seated. Both the Spanish Latte and the Matcha Latte were good. The Avocado Toast tasted a bit plain and wasn't very filling but the Croissant was really good and tasteful.

We visited Bungalow Café for breakfast and overall had a good experience. We ordered the avocado toast and the sourdough bread with fried eggs. The avocado toast was very tasty and well seasoned, and the bread itself was delicious as well. The only downside was that the fried eggs were a bit undercooked — both the yolk and even some of the egg white were still VERY runny.
The juices were very good, and the staff was friendly. The location is right in the middle of Cannes.
Overall, a nice spot with good breakfast and a pleasant atmosphere.

I ordered eggs and toast at 11:40 AM and was still waiting at 12:30 PM. What made it worse was seeing customers who ordered the exact same meal after me receive their food first. Instead of explaining the delay or apologizing, the staff showed no concern. I decided to leave and only paid for my orange juice. This level of service is simply unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place.
Alexandra N.★☆☆☆☆
Waited 1 hour for my food to arrive. I ordered eggs and bread so nothing special. It was the smallest, most basic breakfast. I travelled a lot and in most other breakfast places it’s a joy what you get on the plate, disappointing experience here. It’s absolutely unacceptable that the table next to me, that arrived 20 minutes after me, received the food before me and actually finished their plates, paid and left before i even received mine(!!!!!) I had since long already finished the most overpriced matcha of my life. Small cup, didn’t taste good and was priced at 6-7€ !!!! I arrived early, probably 20 minutes after opening and left completely upset for the extremely long wait time. Service wasn’t the friendliest either, will definitely not be back.
Hussain Hilu★★★★★
I was in Cannes for 3 weeks in the summer and I was here pretty much every morning for my breakfast. The owner and the girls are the loveliest people you'll meet. The food is sooo damn good. Everything on their menu is so delicious and different. I really enjoyed the avocado on toast and also the grilled halloumi. Only downside is that its a small cosy cafe and can get very busy so sometimes expect to wait before you're seated and this is a testament to the quality of the food and service. I cannot wait to go back there again hopefully this coming summer 💜

A great spot for a good coffee and fresh pastry. I ordered a Cold Brew (€8.50) and a Pain au Chocolat (€3.50).
The Cold Brew was smooth, refreshing, and full of flavor, while the Pain au Chocolat was fresh, flaky, and generously filled with chocolate.
Worth noting that this is the same Knot Café brand from Dubai, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a familiar favorite in Cannes.
Overall: Highly recommended for a good coffee and pastry break ☕🥐.
Vasilisa Premudraya★★☆☆☆
Came in almost right at opening time. Apart from us, there was only one other guest in the café.
An Americano, a flat white, and a croissant took 13 minutes to prepare. In the end, they brought us coffee that was already cold and basically impossible to drink. The bill was €15.
The frustrating part is that things like this hurt a business far more than any economic crisis. People are willing to pay for a good product, but this level of indifference is hard to understand 😅
Maybe it’s worth coming back in a month, once they’ve either finished the renovation or properly trained the staff.
E D★★★★★
I went there yesterday and it’s one of the best coffee in Cannes you can have, I recommend the cold brew one 🌟

Tips for Enjoying Cannes’ Aesthetic Café Scene
To make the most of your café-hopping experience in Cannes, it helps to understand the local rhythm and etiquette. Unlike some major metropolitan cities where laptops are welcome all day, many aesthetic venues in Cannes transition from daytime coffee bars to evening wine bars. Timing your visit and respecting the house rules will ensure you have the best possible experience and capture the ambiance at its peak.
- Visit on Weekdays for Better Photos: Weekends in Cannes can be incredibly busy, especially during the summer season and film festival. If your primary goal is interior photography or securing the best corner table, plan your visit for a Tuesday or Wednesday morning when the crowds are thinner.
- Check Laptop Policies: While many modern cafes welcome remote workers, some high-end aesthetic venues in Cannes restrict laptop use during lunch hours or on weekends to maintain a relaxed, social atmosphere. Call ahead or check their social media if you plan to work for several hours.
- Look Beyond La Croisette: While the seafront offers stunning views, the rents are high and the venues can be touristy. For a more authentic and design-focused experience, walk a few blocks inland to the Carré d’Or or up the hill to Le Suquet.
- Embrace the Seasonal Menu: The best aesthetic cafes often rotate their menus based on the Provençal seasons. Ask about the "suggestion du jour" or seasonal pastries, as these items are usually the freshest and most beautifully plated for photos.
- Dress the Part: Cannes is a fashion-conscious city. While there is no strict dress code for cafes, the ambiance of these aesthetic spaces is enhanced by the clientele. Dressing in smart casual or "Riviera chic" will help you blend in seamlessly with the local crowd and the upscale interiors.
Exploring the aesthetic cafes of Cannes offers a delightful contrast to the city’s more formal dining rooms. It allows you to slow down, appreciate the craftsmanship of local baristas, and immerse yourself in the design trends shaping the French Riviera. Whether you are refueling between shopping sprees or seeking shelter from the midday sun, these spaces provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation.
Ultimately, the best café is the one that makes you feel inspired. Use this list as a starting point to discover your own favorite corners of Cannes, and don’t be afraid to wander down an unassuming alleyway—you never know what beautifully designed treasure you might find waiting inside.
