15 Best Pizza Spots in Strasbourg

Strasbourg’s culinary identity extends far beyond its famous choucroute and tarte flambée. As the capital of Alsace and a true crossroads of French and German culture, the city has developed a surprisingly dynamic pizza scene. From wood-fired Neapolitan classics to inventive Alsatian-inspired pies, the options are as diverse as the neighborhoods themselves.

Whether you are wandering the cobbled lanes of Petite France or exploring the university district near the Krutenau, you are never far from a satisfying slice. The local demand for high-quality dough, slow fermentation, and regional toppings has pushed pizzerias to elevate their craft. This is no longer just late-night student food; it is a legitimate culinary pursuit.

For visitors, choosing where to eat can be overwhelming given the sheer density of restaurants in the city center. You might be craving a quick lunch between museum visits or a leisurely dinner along the Ill river. Understanding the distinct styles—Roman, Neapolitan, or New York—will help you match your mood to the right table.

Local chefs often source ingredients from nearby farms, incorporating creamy Munster cheese or smoked Alsatian bacon into their recipes. This regional twist sets Strasbourg apart from other French cities, offering a pizza experience you simply cannot find elsewhere. The water quality and local flour also contribute to the unique texture of the crusts here.

In this guide, we have curated a list that balances traditional authenticity with modern creativity. We have considered not only the quality of the toppings but also the atmosphere, service, and value for money. Whether you are a local or a tourist, this selection aims to satisfy your specific pizza cravings.

Let’s dive into the definitive list of the best places to grab a pie in the European capital.

Best foodspot in Strasbourg! Perfect for a cozy pizza/pasta night with your friends and family! Super friendly staff!
Matt Veatch★★★★★
Superior ingredients result in a superior pizza. Just excellent. The panna cotta should not be missed.
Nathan★★★★★
It felt like a family owned restaurant where they wanted you to enjoy the food and experience. We had a meat charcuterie and prosciutto pizza which was a good amount of food for the 3 of us to share. We enjoyed every bite!
Lezel Aglipay★★★★★
I really enjoyed this meal, the staff was nice and seated me right away. The pizza dough was chewy and just the right crispness. The toppings were awesome and nothing was greasy. I finished the whole thing in one sitting. I also loved the amount of Vegan and vegetarian options, really great selection

I was dining at Bella vita this evening with my family and we have enjoyed a lot, both the food and the service. The chef was very gentle and took a very good care of us. We do suggest to have dinner at Bella vita!! And taste the dessert too!!

Amazing cosy pizza place close to the centre of Strasbourg. The service is very welcoming and attentive. The pizza is authentic neapolitan style, definitely on par with the many ranked top pizza in Europe I tried in the past! 🍕
The RIG Emporium★★★★★
We had a fantastic experience at Casa Fusco Pizzeria. We ordered a classic Margherita pizza with olives substituted in, and it honestly tasted just like the pizzas you get in Italy—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the burrata salad, which was incredibly refreshing. The staff were warm and friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is both snug and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Italian flavors and a great dining vibe!

We had a great experience! My wife and I ordered two pizzas, and both were absolutely delicious. I asked to replace the pork with beef on one of them - and they were super kind and flexible about it, no hesitation at all. We also shared a homemade panna cotta for dessert, which was absolutely excellent - creamy, light, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the friendly service!
Vlsk Klb★★★★★
I loved everything about this place. The pizza was very delicious and the two owners were very welcoming. The interior is very beautiful and charming, I also love that they have a curtain to prevent the cold from entering the restaurant when people come and go. Big recommendation for your stay in Strasbourg

BEST PIZZA OF MY LIFE!❤️ I had the pizza tartufona. I had to pause while eating it because my brain couldn't process how heavenly it tasted!❤️ I want to recommend this place to everyone I know!

David Jowanka★★★★☆
The Margherita was super delicious — fluffy, puffy, and with beautiful charring on the crust 👌 The tomato sauce tasted fruity and fresh, and the fior di latte was flavourful without being watery, which made a huge difference. My only small criticism is that I would have loved a bit more sauce, especially since the crust was very wide, leaving less space for the toppings. We also tried a white-base four cheese pizza with smoked ricotta, tomato jam, and lemon zest. It was interesting and well made, but for our taste a bit too sweet. Together with the lemon zest, it almost became dessert-like 😅 so we definitely preferred the Margherita. At 16,90€ for a Margherita though, it does feel very overpriced.
Mark Tabaka★★★★★
Our first time eating here, and my wife and I had the Action Brandon pizza , very good. The crust was very good and the ingredients too! Even with my limited French, we were greeted, seated and waited on very well. I would recommend reservations, the place is small. The high reviews are well deserved. We will come back again and again!
Aytek Cingitas★★★★★
I have eaten a good amount of incredible Neapolitan pizzas in my life, and I can confidently say this is one of the best, if not the absolute best. The dough, the tomato sauce, the cheese, the bake—everything is absolutely amazing. Definitely recommended! We had the "Championne du Monde" (their standard Margherita) and it was phenomenal.
Oshra Nahari★★★★★
What a wonderful place! Definitely the best margarita in the world. Amazing taste friendly to service and great drinks We had a wonderful time and plan to come back
Rithika R★★★★★
Would give more if I could. The award for the best margharita in the world is very well deserved, everything was perfect about the pizza. Service was efficient and rapid. The ambiance and decor is very lively as well.

Ham and Mushroom pizza was ok. Tasty but not crispy enough. The Insalate Caprese salad was very good. Service was slow because there was only 1 waiter around.
Ike Ichael★★★★★
This was my overall impression was great. The pizza was awesome. It really was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Strasbourg and in france. The outdoor seating always takes it to another level on a beautiful spring day as happened on this occasion. The service was also really excellent. No complaints at all. I walked away completely satisfied.
DC Insights★★★★★
We had a very nice overall experience. The meatballs were generous and delicious. In my opinion, I’d add more tomato sauce and Parmesan because of the amazing size of the meatballs. I think the ratio of sauce compared to meatballs could be a little bit higher. Additionally, the dough that comes with the meatballs is out of this world. As for the Neapolitan pizza, I generally liked it, but in my opinion, there is room for small improvements. The mozzarella cheese felt unmelted and not integrated into the pizza, which bothered me. It seemed like you could pick the mozzarella off as if it wasn’t part of the pizza, and the pizza couldn’t hold the cheese and toppings as well as it should, as far as I know. The tiramisu was super great, a lovely ending. Thanks for great dinner Service is great
David Naegele★★★★★
No waiting time at all, the daily pizza is incredible, Mito deserve the attention they're getting and more. Come and try them asap

Definitely made the right call coming here! We devoured four delicious pizzas, and wings I wish we ordered more wings… and the Tuna was hands down my favorite. The service was top! Hakim was super friendly and had us laughing with a few jokes. Shoutout to my niece Nura for stepping in as the translator! 😅
Michelle de Groot★★★★★
What a friendly and delicious place! Employees were kind and the food was definitely worth a try. The panini chicken that we had was so good. definitely recommend this place!
Troels Hansen★★★★★
Very friendly people despite my French is poor. Good pizza - the Napoletana is very nice with a balanced amount of capers and anchovies. We had 4 pizzas and a 1,5l soda for free. Fair prices. I recommend it.
Ece Izbul★★★★★
I selected that place according to the comments on google, then I didn’t disappointed. The place is clean, the staff is so kind, helpful and hospitable. They are Algerian, yes they can’t speak English, but it wasn’ t so problem, i can speak little french. We ordered one small margeritta and vegeterian pizza , both were ready in 10 min.s , and were really delicious, the size was big enough. The price/performance is 10/10 , i think. Recommend all the ones, who want taste and economy together.
Nathan★★★★★
Friendly and accomodating, we don't speak French well so they tried their hardest to communicate with us in English. We wanted to have the panini and drink can deal, which is normally only for takeaway. They very kindly offered to let us eat it here for the price of takeaway, which is much appreciated! Again, very kind. On top of that, the chicken panini was AMAZING! Highly recommended. Merci beaucoup!

A truly cozy place with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The interior feels comfortable and welcoming, making it a good spot to enjoy a calm meal.
Maher Salame★★★★★
What a fantastic spot! I really enjoyed my time at Pizza Cosy. The place has a simple charm—nothing over the top, but cozy in its own way, and that’s exactly what makes it feel so inviting. I especially loved the little terrace… it’s the kind of spot where you can just sit back and enjoy a good meal. Speaking of the food—honestly, the taste was more than wonderful. You can tell there’s care in every detail, from the ingredients to how it’s all put together. It’s comforting and full of flavor. And I have to say, the staff were amazing—super friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. That kind of positive energy really stays with you. A lovely experience all around. Can’t wait to go back!

I recommend reservation and to arrive early. because there are not many tables. We arrived at 12:00 and could choose the 2nd best table. The food was amazing and was served quickly(after 10 minutes we got all our food. Staff is able to speak English and German.

Had supper there last night and I must say, myself and the group I was with were very very happy with the pizza. Very authentic Neapolitan pizza, excellent service and a nice dessert to finish it all off. Looking forward to returning next time I'm in town.
John Mahoney★★★★★
My wife and I are in an Air B-N-B in Strasbourg and enjoying tasting the local restaurants and were both VERY happy to have found this wonderful little gem. The pizzas were delicious and my wife said it was just like in Rome. We were seated immediately and enjoyed the homey ambiance of the place and the staff couldn't have been nicer.
EA★★★★★
Umm. Very delicious pizza like the one I ate in Napoli. It is an affordable pizzeria, for example this pizza costs €12 and has a big portion. The service is kind. The place itself is small and cozy. 10/10
Isaura Font★★★★☆
The pizza are so good! The pasta is very well don and the quality of the ingredients is very high! The service is very friendly and nice! Ready for any need you might’ve have! The inconvenience is that the tables are too close, as the restaurant is very small, so you are too much closed to your neighbour tables, you can be in their conversations easily! So, no intimacy, but good food and service!

Outstanding place, we had tiramisu and two coffees very reasonable. The coffee and the dessert was outstanding. Also, the staff was very polite and helpful. Our server was Amir😊
Ulysse★☆☆☆☆
I never had such AWFUL service and pasta. We were tempted by the deco very modern Italian. But this is for sure the only positive point in this place. Pasta was overcooked too much cheese of low quality to leave a nasty taste in the mouth, aubergine were not cooked. We had to ask 3 times for the table to be clean. It was dirty and sticky. Service was far from convincing. CUSTOMER RUN AWAY… Never again in this place.
Nithin Karichery★★★★★
I was walking down the street when an employee standing at the entrance gave me a pizza sample. Guess what? It was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in my life! My friend and I ordered the exact same one. Usually, I leave the crust because it’s too hard. But the one I had from this restaurant was not hard at all, smelled really tempting, and I ate the whole thing. It was an experience that not only filled my stomach but also gave me pure satisfaction. I will definitely visit this place again the next time I visit Strasbourg! 😍
Sabra★★★★★
We popped in, because of the enticing windows display of their cases. A good family stop with plenty of space and good food. We opted for a hot drink and a pastry. Restaurant is clean and spacious.

I’ve eaten at this place twice now, and both times the pizzas were excellent. They looked clean, they were very tasty, and had a great balance of ingredients. The service was also impressive, the order came quickly, and I didn’t have to wait long for my pizzas. I’d especially like to mention a staff member named Hicham (I hope I’m spelling that right). He was doing closing shift on 25/08/25. I wasn’t aware of the shop’s closing time, which led to a bit of a complicated situation, but he handled it with kindness and professionalism. His attitude really stood out and made my experience even better. The atmosphere here is also great.. clean, comfortable, and perfect whether you’re eating alone, with friends, or with family. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for both the food and the service.

I really enjoyed the food at Five Pizza Original. The pizza was delicious, high quality, and totally worth the price. The dough was especially unique and flavorful – it really stood out. I also loved the milkshake – creamy and tasty! Great value for money. Definitely recommend!
Serafim Ivanov★★★★★
As a new comer in Strasbourg that was one of the first places I visited, recommended by a friend. My friend told me “ This is the best pizza in the city and be careful because it is addictive.” Well he was right. I eat here every week and sometimes even more than once. I don’t speak french, but every time the service is perfect, the food is amazing. I can confirm this is the best pizza I’ve ever tried. I have tried a few different pizzas, but 99% of the time I eat Rollz Hot-Dog and Rollz 3 Cheeses. For me personally those are the best, but they have more than 20 different pizzas, to satisfy every taste. Five Pizza are the best! From a true and happy regular customer.
Gautham Srinivasan★★★★★
We traveled from mannheim to have the pizza here and it did not disappoint. The price is pretty good and the quantity is 😍😍

The pizza was tasty, although far a way from what was shown on the photos in the menue.... the service was fast and the staff was polite. 🙃

Fun and interesting combo, I was gonna get a pizza but couldn't resist a good ol' assiette. Got 3 meats and it even came with cheesy naan bread, absolute banger, inside was warm but there's outside seating. Friendly and helpful staff and family friendly enough room for all. Recommend if you like just about anything, pretty decent variety.
Karthik★★★★★
One of the best platters and pizza. Amazing taste. Must try!! Spicy level can be customised as per needs.
Farrukh Hussain★★★★★
We stopped at Pizza to Naan while taking a detour during our walk around Strasbourg, and what a pleasant surprise it was. We tried different pizzas the Texas with a tomato base and the Gourmande with a crème base and both were delicious. The real unexpected highlight, though, was the cheese naan. It was perfectly cooked with lovely gooey cheese, and according to my nephew (who loves his cheese naan), it’s the best cheese naan he’s ever had! Highly recommend this place for something a bit different and very tasty.
Peter Ju★★★★★
First time in Stasbourg and asked passerby’s where to eat. They pointed us here. The owner was very helpful in explaining. We didn’t know French. He showed us the size or the pizza we ordered and even gave us a few extra basil leaves on our margarita pizza. As we tasted it there it was so delicious. Definitely recommend.
Deniz USTALAR★★★★★
I didn't expect such a burst of flavor from such a tiny restaurant! I was so surprised. It rivals the pizzas I've had in Italy. Thank you so much. I enjoyed my pizza. A very humane and friendly establishment. I'll be back to try the traditional dishes brought to the next table just as I was leaving. It's well-deserving of a 4.9 rating. A spotlessly clean establishment.

The restaurant has nice ambiance, but it feels like a tourist trap in the sense that is doesn't seem to cater to a return visit. The prices are high but not unreasonable given the location. But at this price point, one could expect more. The pasta vongole was nice, but the clams were very tiny and lots were left unopened. Perhaps an oversight from the kitchen, or perhaps bad luck. Either way, it feels like I missed 30% of my meal because of this. There were other signals too. The water at €7 a bottle is steep, and the Soave for €21 (46 cl) was not worth the carafe in which it was served. The staff was overall aware and served us well. Although, they did seem a bit more engaged with the tables that seated locals (as opposed to us tourists). Overall an ok experience but I wont be coming back.
Mallory Chrysler★★★★★
Cute little spot off the beaten path. Great menu with fresh items. The drinks were very nice and the food was incredible! Service was friendly and the food was very quick. Highly recommend!
Jamie Wojciechowski★★★★☆
Staying in Strasbourg for a few nights and felt like pizza for dinner and headed to Rimini based on the reviews. I thought the pizza was average and my partner said the pasta was quite good. I ordered the Margherita pizza and enjoyed the crust and the tomato sauce, I was not a fan of the cheese on the pizza. For me, the cheese was too thick and not fully cooked, more just melted. My partner ordered the pasta with a Pomodoro sauce and enjoyed the dish. Overall, not bad food.

We were in Strasbourg for the Christmas Market & felt lucky enough to find this restaurant for dinner on our last night (they had just reopened after a remodel). The staff were attentive, accommodated my pup, and food was freshly made & amazing! A perfect ending to our stay. Merci!

We couldn’t order a table so we came 19:00 sharp and were lucky to get a sit. The place is packed. Lovely staff. The food was great ( get the big pizza and not the mini one). The food was great, cocktails mediocre and deserts were ok. We loved it!

The food was very good, the restaurant staff are so nice and kind…

A cozy and beautifully decorated restaurant. The food was very delicious. The steak, in particular, was probably the best I've ever eaten. The sauce complemented the steak perfectly. I highly recommend it.

I was looking forward to this spot based on the google reviews and Italian cuisine in a city that is more about it’s meat and potatoes. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed on every dish my family had. It was just okay Italian at best. The server was nice and the setting was decent but the food just didn’t live up to what I would have expected. I would imagine there are a lot of better options out there.

Penne salmon and truffle ravioli were delicious. The arancini and wines were also great. Friendly staff and timely service. Cozy and neat atmosphere

I would especially like to highlight the excellent service we received from the entire team. They made us feel at home from our very first visit, which is why we decided to come back. Once again, everything was excellent: the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the professionalism of the whole staff. They also fully understood our request regarding our son, who has autism, and were especially kind, attentive, and considerate of his needs. Their warmth and understanding made our experience even more enjoyable. We are truly grateful for the care and kindness they showed us. Everything was impeccable. Many thanks to the entire team! Without a doubt, a highly recommended restaurant.

Were looking for a late night place to eat and stumbled upon this place. We got pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty, quick service (we were the only ones if I can add this) and prices were reasonably priced.

Pop & Lino in Strasbourg offers a good ambience—bright, modern, and casual, making it a nice place to hang out for a quick snack or light meal. However, the service could definitely be improved. We had to call several times to get attention, and the overall response felt quite cold and inattentive. The place does feel a bit overhyped compared to what it delivers. The pizza is decent, but not outstanding—certainly not the highlight of the menu.

Very good for families with younger children. We had dinner with our 3 kids ages 5-9 and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a good experience and good food. We would definitely eat here again 👍

Great food and very pleasant and friendly staff, we immediately felt welcome. We got lucky and got a table for dinner right after opening. Otherwise you definitely need a reservation. Highly recommend!

Essential Tips for Enjoying Pizza in Strasbourg

To make the most of your culinary tour through Strasbourg’s pizza landscape, it helps to understand the local dining culture and logistical nuances. While the city is welcoming, a little insider knowledge regarding timing, reservations, and regional specialties can dramatically improve your experience. Here are some practical strategies to ensure you eat like a local rather than a lost tourist.

Book ahead on weekends. Strasbourg is a bustling European hub, and the best tables in popular pizzerias fill up quickly, especially Thursday through Saturday. A quick phone call or online reservation can save you a long wait in the cold.

Look for the wood-fired oven. If you are chasing authenticity, seek out restaurants that advertise "au feu de bois." This method imparts a smoky char and blistering on the crust that electric ovens simply cannot replicate.

Try the Alsatian twist. Don’t be afraid to step away from the Margherita and try a "Flammekueche-style" pizza or one topped with Munster cheese. It is the perfect bridge between French gastronomy and Italian tradition.

Embrace the late seating. While dinner service often starts around 7:00 PM, many locals don’t sit down to eat until 8:00 PM or later. If you want a livelier atmosphere, go late; if you want quieter service, go at opening.

Check for lunch formulas. Many high-end pizzerias offer a "Formule Midi" on weekdays, which includes a pizza, a drink, and sometimes a dessert or coffee at a significantly reduced price. It is the best way to try premium spots on a budget.

Strasbourg’s pizza scene is a testament to the city’s ability to absorb international influences while maintaining its distinct regional character. Whether you find yourself in a sleek modern dining room or a rustic, wood-beamed cellar, the passion for good food is palpable. The blend of Italian technique with Alsatian ingredients creates a dining experience that is both comforting and exciting.

As you explore the city, let your nose guide you toward the scent of baking dough and melting cheese. From the historic center to the quieter residential streets, there is a pizza waiting to become the highlight of your trip. Bon appétit!
