17 Best Asian Restaurants in Lyon

Lyon wears its title as France’s gastronomic capital with well-earned pride, but the city’s culinary identity extends far beyond its legendary bouchons and Michelin-starred temples. Tucked between the traboules of Presqu’île, the hills of Croix-Rousse, and the modern streets of Part-Dieu is a thriving, dynamic Asian food scene that reflects the city’s cosmopolitan evolution.

From steaming bowls of Vietnamese pho to delicate Japanese omakase and fiery Sichuan hot pots, the city offers a remarkable depth of flavors that often surprises first-time visitors. For locals and travelers alike, the search for the perfect bowl of ramen or the crispiest spring roll can be a delicious but overwhelming quest.

Unlike the traditional Lyonnais dining rooms that dominate guidebooks, Asian restaurants here range from tiny, family-run noodle counters to sleek, contemporary spaces designed for a night out. The common thread connecting the best of them is a commitment to authentic ingredients, precise technique, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return the very next week.

Navigating this landscape requires more than just a quick search for “Chinese food near me.” The true standouts in Lyon often specialize in a single regional cuisine, offering menus that change with the seasons or featuring imported ingredients you won’t find anywhere else in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Whether you are looking for a quick, soulful lunch or an elaborate tasting menu, understanding the nuances of what each establishment offers is key to having a memorable meal. This guide focuses on quality, consistency, and the unique stories behind the kitchens that have earned the trust of Lyon’s discerning diners.

We have prioritized restaurants that demonstrate a deep respect for their culinary heritage while adapting to the high standards of the French market. From hand-pulled noodles to the freshest sashimi, these are the tables that define the city’s modern Asian gastronomy.

It is important to note that the dining landscape in Lyon is constantly shifting. Chefs move, concepts evolve, and new hidden gems pop up in the 7th arrondissement or near Guillotière. However, the establishments featured here have proven their staying power through years of dedicated service and a relentless focus on flavor. They are the places where the local Asian community goes to eat, which is always the strongest indicator of authenticity.

With that in mind, prepare to explore a curated selection that spans the vast continent of Asia. You will find the warm, anise-scented broths of Vietnam, the umami-rich depths of Japan, the bold spices of Thailand, and the complex, layered heat of China. Here is our definitive list of the best Asian restaurants in Lyon right now.

We visited this restaurant after seeing its very high Google rating, but unfortunately our experience did not live up to the expectations. The highlights were the beef tataki and the marinated cucumber salad, both of which were enjoyable. However, the other dishes were disappointing. The fried chicken was extremely dry and tough to chew, as though it had been overcooked or fried more than once, leaving very little moisture. The bao buns were also underwhelming, and we left most of them unfinished. What surprised us most was the gap between the online ratings and the actual food quality. While the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly, the food itself did not justify the reputation or the €79 we spent for three people. As people who enjoy exploring different cuisines, we did not find this to be an authentic Japanese dining experience. Everyone has different tastes, but we felt the reviews created expectations that were not met. We hope future diners read a range of reviews to get a balanced picture before visiting.

High price and low portions. The chicken and the fish portions are ridiculously small with no real taste. But there was a lot of rice (not sure if they are expecting to eat rice without any sides). The person who welcomed us was super rude. She refused to give us tables inside even though it was all empty. After 10mins of contemplation, she said we have to leave by 21h30. It was only 19h00 when we arrived. We returned from playing for 2hrs and just was super hungry. We needed not more than 1hr. We wanted to eat and Carry on with our lives. But she was really give faces and eye rolls. The next few set of people who came without reservation had free access without any questions asked. I don't know how this resto has such high google reviews for the quantity and the service is so bad. Never coming back again and never recommending it to my people.

We had a very tasty meal, everything was fresh and had lots of aroma. The staff is great. Only one downside is that the outsite chairs are next to the road and it can get pretty noisy. Would come back anytime!

Everything was great in this restaurant. The owner was very nice, we had no reservation and he made us a place. We could ask for advice regarding the menu and that was no mistake. They don’t have a lot of choices, but everything they have is amazing and finely presented. We shared a gua bao, with Gochujang sauce a bit spicy but amazing and sweet potato fries, really crunchy and the sauce was next level. We also took the Tonkatsu, very savoury and not fat. If you are hungry, ordering a starter can be a good idea. We will definitely come back!🥰

A lovely evening shared in a charmingly decorated Japanese restaurant. Althought I could pick one or two asian dishes that are not specialy Japanese, the taste was just so good and everything we tasted was made with a lot of expertise. The staff was efficient and helpful, giving us advice on the dishes and the different things that we could expect. I really appreciated that they never made us feel tardy even at the late hour we came. Thank you for the nice experience

Absolutely great experience. The food came out timely and was absolutely delicious. I have to give a special thanks to the serveuse as she was an absolute delight. She was very friendly professional and a great attitude! Would absolutely suggest to anyone wanting Chinese food! My new favorite!

The staff is great and it's really working hard to serve anyone and to make everyone happy. The food is well balanced and if you want it spicy there is some strong chilli oil on all the tables. Like most of the places in France, the place is not that big. Prices are decent

Hello! I really enjoyed this restaurant! But the food was a bit disappointing. We started with poulet croustillant, it was amazing! We ordered nouilles sans soupe porc and bœuf. The nouilles are so tender, the porc was good but salty, the boeuf was old. The sauce of the nouilles is a bit new to me, so concentrated in msg powder, making it so overstimulating. They were so nice to propose another plat or desert but we were good. But overall, it was nice and good experience maybe for next time we will order another thing.

Wow! What a great find in Lyon. I had the fried chicken appetizer, full of flavor and perfectly crunchy. I then had the beef ragu noodle soup, AMAZING. The meat melted in your mouth and the noodles and broth were delicious. The server was very nice and always smiling. Prices are correct. Super cute decor. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area!

We also visited Baoma and tried a selection of bao burgers. The place has a very modern feel, and ordering via touchscreen is intuitive and well-designed, which we really liked. The burgers were very good, and the rice bowl was also delicious. One small downside: during our visit, there was no music playing, which made the atmosphere feel a bit like a library. That would be my only criticism. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

Fine dining Chinese at an approachable price point. The Chinese flavors and French techniques were an amazing pair. This was the best food we had in Lyon! Drinks, appetizer, main, and dessert were all incredible!

Delicious food, fresh and full of flavor, with very generous portions. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, the service was 10/10, super friendly, fast and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable

Amazing Chinese gastronomy!! The plating was really sophisticated, a great fusion between Chinese and French cuisine, and great ambiance in the restaurant
Dimitri Moursellas & Audre Engleman★★★★☆
We were surprised and delighted by this restaurant. The room was nice, the seating was comfortable, the music was not terrible and the food was very good. We were concerned because the menu is not extensive. We shared everything and started with a fois gras. It was a small portion but it was prepared very well and on excellent red rice. For our main, we had the lamb shank and it was very good, with a tempura batter on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce on the plate was delicious (and we wanted more!) It was served surrounded by roasted vegetables and we ordered more red rice (among the vegetables was white asparagus that Dimitri thought were perfectly cooked and not stringy). We also ordered a side of vegetables that turned out to be sautéed bok choy. For dessert we had the perle de coco. Dimitri loved the little bubbles of boba that had a fruity juice inside. The entire dessert was delicious. We spent 65.50€ and we were happy.
Laura Thornton★★★★☆
Excellent, if somewhat slow service. The food was beautiful, fresh and about as far away from Chinese as it could be and still be called Chinese. Which is exactly why it works

Nice little place in the old part of Lyon just around the corner from the main exit of the Fourviere Fenicular. Very clean and well laid out. Food is well presented and has good taste so much so that nothing was left on my plate. No tables outside but don't let that put you off. We were the only ones their to start with but there virtually wasn't a seat left by time we departed. Opens at 19.00hrs for dinner.

Lunch at Gangnam was amazing, delicious, and authentic. We started with the yukhe, and it was the best I’ve ever had: tender, fresh, creamy with the egg yolk, and perfectly seasoned. For mains, we got three lunch sets, which were a great value for how much you get: one with bibimbap, one with bulgogi, and one with kimchi stew. Each set came with a bunch of sides, so the table was overflowing with food. Everything was incredible, perfectly cooked, freshly made, and full of flavor. We loved every bite and will definitely be coming back to try the other entrees. The service was great too.
Lea Jeha★★★★★
The entire group had a great meal and really enjoyed the grilling experience. The meat was tender and juicy, and the appetizers were delicious. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite noisy, which at times made it difficult to talk at the table and slightly impacted the dining experience.
Aji★★★★★
We went for lunch without a reservation, luckily we got a table. The food was delicious, especially the fried chicken, the sauce was amazing. The lunch sets were also good value. The tables were a bit too close together, but the service was excellent.

This is my favorite restaurant. I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve been here. I’m obsessed with the teriyaki salmon, it’s my go-to dish and it always makes me so happy. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I keep coming back every time 😁
HIZUE★★★★★
I came back after two or three years and it still feels the same as I remember, quiet enough, good cuisine, friendly staff, easily one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Lyon. (I'm not a big fan of the color palette the walls have but that doesn't change the quality time we spent.)

The customer service was truly EXCEPTIONAL! Michel did a FANTASTIC job! He was incredibly attentive to us and had a warm, genuine smile the entire time we were there—even though he was extremely busy taking orders, bringing out food, and clearing tables. He is truly one hardworking, dedicated, and wonderful person. Somehow, he manages to do it all while maintaining such a positive and welcoming attitude. His kindness, professionalism, and wonderful personality made such a lasting impression on us. We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the owner for being so friendly and welcoming. We were SO amazed by how quickly our food arrived—it was on the table less than three minutes after Michel took our order! It’s the combination of people like Michel and the owner that made our experience so wonderful. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience at a place where you genuinely feel valued and welcomed. ❤️ We enjoyed our experience so much that we may very well be back tomorrow for lunch! That says it all! 😊 Merci beaucoup, Michel, for your outstanding service, your hard work, and that wonderful smile! You are truly appreciated! 🤗🇫🇷🍜
UnDiplomatic Wife★★★☆☆
This is the 2nd time we ate in this restaurant. The first time we ate here was two years ago during the Olympics and the beef Bo Bun was soooo good! I ordered the same thing and it had a bit of a fishy smell (more than the usual, we eat a lot of Vietnamese food when we travel) and the beef did not taste as good. It was a bit tasteless today so I couldn’t finish my Bo Bun when normally I eat even bigger portions than this. The spring rolls were not as good too. The beef was served cold. Sad that it was no longer foodgasmic this time around. I hope it goes back to how good it was before. My son enjoyed his crispy duck though, but I would not return if it’s still the same. Also I don’t know how bamboo bowls can be sanitarily used by a restaurant. This is porous and should not be used in a dishwasher. When used with hot food like Pho it can leach the wood glue into the food. I hope they can just use porcelain bowls. The staff were lovely, nice and fast. They managed to understand our English & forgave our broken French. The terrace was breezy and not too warm on a 32C day. I just wish the person in the table next to us was not smoking. My son and I have asthma.

A good Vietnamese restaurant in Lyon. The food was delicious and full of authentic flavors. we really enjoyed it. However, when I went to pay after finishing my meal, the staff member directly mentioned tipping, which felt a bit awkward.😂 I understand the staff were working hard, but if this is something encouraged by the management, it might be better not to do.... I’ve visited many restaurants in Lyon, and this was the first time I experienced such a direct mention of tipping. With a small improvement on this, the overall experience would be even better. Thanks!
Andreas Kakaviatos★★★★★
Very cute vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Lyon! Owner seems to know many of thei customers, which make me think they are regulars. I would be too if I had the chance because the food was awesome. Beautiful pho and vermicelli salad. The portions are super generous and the staff is keen to explain the menu and tell you about their specialties. The place is super cosy and comfy. Recommended !!
Rosalie Wilder★★★☆☆
Eat here if you must, but know that authentic Vietnamese cuisine is infinitely better than this. Everything we ordered was bland, watered down, and completely forgettable. It tasted like Vietnamese food cooked by people who’ve never actually eaten Vietnamese food. The pho arrived lukewarm and flat, the bò bún was so basic and lacked any freshness, the thịt heo kho was dry and underseasoned, and even the fried appetizers somehow managed to be boring. Vietnamese food is supposed to be vibrant with fresh herbs, rich broths, bright sauces, and layers of flavor but this place managed to make everything taste painfully average. Instead of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, it felt like a watered-down version designed for tourists. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows Vietnamese food.

Very nice food and I can’t agree with those complaining about the portions. We took the sushi boat with the wide selection for two and it was more than enough, I didn’t even eat any of the rice. The other dishes I saw around me were also big portions. I sure recommend coming here. Seeing the number of drivers coming for take away, the place is popular.

We didn't expect to have such good quality food. Service with a smile lovely people working there all smiling. Fast service super fresh even at 10pm. The area mmm you know wasn't a pleasant walk to the restaurant, but sitting outside was a very good feeling. I noticed lots of take aways so lots of turn over I assume. Will surely go again.

The portions are small (the rolls are small, and they serve very little ginger and wasabi), the food is quite average, and the service is very poor. The rating is greatly exaggerated.

A high-quality Asian restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and professional. I had the Udon Chinese noodles along with a cold beer, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portion size was just right. What impressed me most was the excellent value for money. It's not easy to find such quality at these prices. I left completely satisfied and will definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Asian cuisine!

Delicious food and very generous portions, you definitely won't leave hungry! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. The staff is incredibly nice and made the whole experience feel very welcoming. Overall, a great find.

Great food and service! Noodles are fantastic and you're given the option to choose your spice level. Disclaimer: the food is not spicy for those who like spicy foods. They offer a spice level of 0 to 6 to choose from. For context I'd say if we used their rankings I'd say a Shin Ramyun (popular Korean instant noodles) is a 5. Buldak Noodles would be a 9. So if you like spice, start at a 5 minimum.
JAMIE Han★★★★★
I didn’t expect to bump into a hand-pulled biang biang noodle joint in Lyon, but this place was a fantastic surprise. Easily one of the best Chinese noodle spots in the city. Shame I couldn’t take photos of the dishes when they arrived—but you can see them in other reviews. Let’s just say the empty plates speak for themselves. Every dish was finished clean. Highly recommended.
Alison Bai★★★★★
Super delicious! Ordered the Tianmen noodles and the pork dumplings in soup and they were so delicious, as a Chinese person craving Asian food, this place definitely hit the spot. (PS the food doesn’t run too spicy so the 4/6 spicy level was more like a low medium for me personally). Also super affordable, the noodles were 11-14 euros

Authentic Taiwanese cuisine run by a Taiwanese lady. We enjoyed all the dishes from the fried tofu to the hot bowl of noodles specifically in this cold weather. Will definitely come back again when we travel through Lyon.

This place makes you feel like you’re back in Taiwan! The food is awesome and the owner is also very friendly. The beef noodle taste just like the ones from Taiwan and the dessert (mango tiramisu, black sesame) was not too sweat and was just right. After a long European trip, this is the place you need to go if you crave Taiwanese food. Highly recommend this place if you want an authentic home-made dish.

Food was interesting with spice. Not West Coast of US Sichuan spicy but also mouth wasn’t numb. Everything we had was amazing. Servers were great. One of the best meals that I’ve had in Lyon. A+++

Delicious. The mapu tofu and the frites smothered in peppers were our favorites. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and helped us when our French failed us.

Delicious Chinese food. The shrimp was the best I have ever had. The noodles was good but lacks some sort of flavour. The fries was really good but I would like less salt This is another review as I visited again today which is a year later. The food is definitely not the same 👎 The spicy shrimp with vegetables and peanut was not spicy and didn't have any peanut. The fries was dry and loaded with oil. I will not go back again

Food was delicious, would come back!! Staff is also very friendly and attentive. Went during the week, so no reservation required.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, here is not the right place to be!!!绝对不正宗! Roujiamo肉夹馍 is horrible with cinnamon bread and some tasteless dry pork. Gongpao chicken宫保鸡丁 is served with very little portion of chicken and is soaked in sweet and sour sauce... Fished flavour eggplant鱼香茄子 is again made with sweet and sour sauce. The food is overly sweet and I had been very thirsty for 3 hours after eating!!!!!!! I seriously doubt that the restaurant has put too much MSG in the food. By the way, I am born and raised as a Chinese. To answer the restaurant 's comment below: since the website has never showed the confirmation of my reservation, I called and booked it again under my husband's French last name instead of my maiden name "Chen".

New China in Lyon was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. We enjoyed perfectly crisp fried prawns, fresh salmon carpaccio, tender duck, and flavorful steak. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate us even though we spoke only English. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended and a must-try when in Lyon.

I am pleased to report that my recent visit to New China was nothing short of royal. From the moment I stepped through the doors of this Chinese and French fusion restaurant, I was greeted with the utmost warmth and hospitality by the staff. The ambiance of the establishment was elegant and sophisticated, with dim lighting and tasteful decor creating a feeling of intimacy and exclusivity. As I perused the menu, I was delighted by the unique blend of Chinese and French flavors and techniques, each dish more tantalizing than the last. I was lucky enough to try several items on the menu since we were a large group and I was not disappointed by a single one. Every single appetizer was a delightful treat and the main dishes were all an innovative recreation of a Classical Chinese dish. You can see the French influence on each meal and they pair perfectly with the Chinese flavours. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was taken care of. I also appreciated the small touches, like the complimentary appetizers and personalized recommendations from the chef. As for the desserts, I would highly recommend the mochi and black sesame ice cream. The food was of the highest caliber and the service was impeccable, making for a truly memorable dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an elevated and unique culinary experience, fit for even the most esteemed and discerning critic.

2 times with no reservation and as we were two it was not an issue and the owner accommodated our request. Excellent food and service last visit we decided to go with the mystery menu 1 mise en bouche two starters two entrees and a dessert. Chef accommodated special dietary requirement without any issues. Highly recommend the place.

The experience is amazing. The fusion is definitely there with the Chinese & French taste. It was well done. From the entrées to the main courses and the desserts. Specia mention to the daurade tartare, foie gras & the duck, they were the favorites! And I would recommend to try them. Everything was super good to be honest and represented well China & France. The food came with good presentation. You are definitely full after all this food! Nice staff as well. Few comments would be that it’s too bad there is only one vegetarian option that isn’t on the menu “à la carte” as it is fried noodles (even though they were really tasty), we came with the 50% off Fork offer and obviously the vegetarian dish wasn’t part of it. More vegetarian options could be added (also the braised aubergines were good!). A bit disappointed with the coconut balls, I found them not that tasty but it’s a matter of personal taste. Overall I would recommend to try this restaurant!

We went to Kin Khao in Lyon Part-Dieu for dinner and had a nice experience overall. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy feel - warm lighting and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for a quiet evening with your couple. There was no wait when we arrived, and the place instantly made us hungry. The food was great from start to finish. We ordered a Miso Soup to warm us up, Spring Rolls and a Pad Thai. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The flavors were bold but not overwhelming. Portions were good, enough to feel satisfied without being too heavy. The presentation was also neat, showing attention to detail. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was smooth and relaxed. Prices were fair for the quality. Overall, this place is a solid choice if you’re in the Part-Dieu area and want tasty Asian food in a comfortable setting.

This place is amazing and I recommend it heartily. The service is excellent and the people are friendly. The food is good and the prices I found very acceptable. There are not many menu items available but that is a good thing. It means that they can spend all their time on just those dishes with a higher quality as the result. Also the atmosphere is very nice and they speak English very well, which for a tourist like me that speaks almost no French is again a good thing.

Small menu that packs a punch! Bistro is run capably by the owner, mostly working on his own. He welcomed us in, worked the other table of 6, collected their bill, cooked our super delicious lunch, and chatted with us. Amazing! That's service!

Had dinner here after the Olympics so quite a long day and I was in desperate need of a "real" drink. I didn't have a booking but it wasn't busy so a table for one was available. Gin and tonic was great. Not the best main - katsu wasn't crispy enough and the rice was overcooked. Fish katsu just doesn't work as a concept. I would've liked to see laksa, nasi goreng, larb or green, red or yellow curry or phở on the menu. Spring rolls were tasty though. Great location as it was basically across the road from my hotel. Waiter was really great and the ambience was lovely - great music, air conditioning and somewhat comfortable chairs (there is also booth seating).

Tried Indo Bistro today and their mie goreng honestly hit the spot. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the sauce had that sweet-savory balance that makes you shut up mid-bite, and the wok aroma was chef’s kiss. Portions are generous without being heavy, and everything tasted fresh, not oily. Service was quick and warm, and the place has that cozy, no-nonsense vibe where you know the food is going to be good before you even order.

Essential Tips for Choosing an Asian Restaurant in Lyon

While the list above provides a curated starting point, knowing how to assess a restaurant yourself will greatly enhance your dining experience. Lyon’s Asian food scene is diverse, but it can be uneven, with some establishments tailoring flavors too heavily to a perceived European palate.

To ensure you find a meal that is both satisfying and authentic, it helps to look for specific markers of quality. The following tips are designed to help you navigate menus, understand regional differences, and dine like a local, ensuring you get the most out of the city’s vibrant culinary offerings.

1. Look for Regional Specificity

The best restaurants in Lyon do not serve a generic “Asian” menu. A menu that mixes sushi, pad thai, and bo bun on the same page is often a red flag. Instead, seek out restaurants that proudly identify a specific region, such as “Cantonese,” “Osaka-style,” or “Isan cuisine.” This focus usually indicates that the kitchen has mastered a particular set of techniques and ingredients rather than spreading itself too thin.

2. Follow the Asian Community

A reliable barometer for authenticity is the clientele. If you walk into a Vietnamese pho restaurant in the Guillotière neighborhood and the tables are filled with Vietnamese families, you are in the right place. Pay attention to who is eating there during off-peak hours; if a restaurant is packed at 7:00 PM with locals from the culture it represents, the food is likely the real deal.

3. Check for Handmade Staples

Great Asian cuisine relies heavily on staple ingredients that are often made in-house. Before ordering, look for signs that the kitchen is doing the work. Does the menu mention hand-pulled noodles, freshly made dumplings, or house-made tofu? Restaurants that invest the time to make these components from scratch almost always take equal care with the rest of their dishes.

4. Understand the Spice Level

French restaurants often moderate heat to suit local preferences, but authentic Asian kitchens will usually offer you a choice. Don’t be afraid to ask for “très épicé” (very spicy) if you are used to heat, or ask for the chili oil or fresh chilies on the side. In many Sichuan or Thai restaurants, the default heat is already adjusted; asking for the “authentic” spice level often unlocks a deeper, more complex flavor profile.

5. Reserve Ahead for High-End Spots

Lyon is a busy city, and the best tables—especially for Japanese omakase or high-end Chinese dining—are often booked out weeks in advance. Unlike the casual noodle bars where you can walk in, the more refined establishments on this list require planning. Always call ahead or book online, and if you are visiting during a major trade fair or festival, secure your reservation even earlier.

6. Embrace the Lunch Menu

If you want to experience a high-quality restaurant without the dinner price tag, go for lunch. Many of Lyon’s top Asian kitchens offer incredible “formules” or set menus during the midday hours that are significantly cheaper than their evening à la carte options. This is the perfect way to sample a chef’s signature dishes while exploring different neighborhoods.

Lyon’s Asian dining scene is a testament to the city’s ability to preserve its culinary heritage while embracing the world. The steam rising from a bowl of ramen on a cold Rhône evening or the sizzle of a wok in a busy kitchen in the 7th arrondissement is just as much a part of modern Lyon as the traditional quenelle. It is a cuisine built on contrast, precision, and passion.

As you explore these restaurants, allow yourself to step outside your comfort zone. Order the dish you cannot pronounce, ask the server for their recommendation, and trust the chef’s tasting menu. In doing so, you will discover that the best Asian food in Lyon is not just an alternative to French cuisine—it is a vital, delicious part of the city’s identity.
