12 Best Coffee Shops Near La Giralda

The area surrounding La Giralda is not just the visual heart of Seville; it is also the sensory epicenter of the city’s renowned coffee culture. Whether you have just climbed the ramps of the bell tower or wandered through the labyrinthine streets of the Santa Cruz quarter, a perfect cup of coffee is never far away.

Finding a great café here involves navigating a mix of historic institutions, modern specialty roasters, and hidden patios. While the immediate vicinity is tourist-heavy, locals know that quality beans and expert preparation are hiding just around the corner if you know where to look.

This guide focuses on quality, atmosphere, and authenticity rather than simply proximity. We have walked the cobblestones to distinguish the must-visit artisan brew bars from the overpriced tourist traps with lackluster espresso.

From traditional café con leche served at marble counters to slow-brewed single-origin filters, the options are diverse. You can start your morning with a sweet pastry and a robust roast, or take an afternoon break in a shaded courtyard with a cold brew.

Seville’s heat often dictates the pace of your day, and these cafés offer the perfect refuge. Many of them double as cultural spaces, where the clinking of cups mixes with the quiet hum of local conversation.

Below, we have curated a list that balances the old-world charm of Seville with the city’s growing third-wave coffee movement. These spots are ideal for recharging before you continue your exploration of the Andalusian capital.

Such a good cafe, highly recommended. Ended up going here 4-6 times over 3 days because their coffee is SO GOOD! Lovely area to catch up, have a drink and meet new people as well. The staff was kind enough to share some exotic funky beans they had and it was experimental and so unique ♥️

One of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve ever visited. The quality of the beans is exceptional, and you can truly tell how much knowledge and care the team puts into every cup. The baristas are incredibly skilled, and even a simple espresso is made with such precision and attention to detail that you can really taste the quality of the coffee. What I especially love about MUY COFFEE is their deep understanding and appreciation of specialty coffee. Every visit feels like a chance to experience coffee at its best. I honestly found myself looking forward to waking up every morning because I knew I was going to start my day here. MUY COFFEE became one of the highlights of my time in Seville, and I’m so grateful I found this place. Highly recommended for anyone who truly loves great coffee. 한국인 분들 그냥 묻고 따지지 말고 이쪽으로 오세요 세비야를 통틀어서 스페인 전체에서 여기가 제일 맛있는 거 같애요. 산미있는 에스프레소 ..최고

My favorite coffee shop in the area. It has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, a friendly owner and team, and genuinely delicious coffee. The space is small, but it’s been used really well, with a casual, thoughtful setup. They also play great music, which adds to the atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable, and they even sell their own coffee beans.

Went twice during my quick stay. Had a batch brew that was dialed in—delicate with floral notes and a some fruity vibes! Came back for a cappuccino and it was delicious. They take their coffee seriously and combined with the great vibes and friendly service I would definitely recommend this. It is an authentic specialty coffee shop that anyone into coffee would appreciate.

Awesome coffeeshop! Had a great V60, and a Flat white. The owners were super nice, and very friendly! Made steamed milk for our daughter who really liked it as well. Would very much recommend if you're into speciality coffee.

Excellent specialty coffee in the heart of Seville. The cortado was perfectly balanced. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and a great place to start the day before exploring the city. Highly recommended!

If the coffee is good, the coffee is good. And here the coffee is good. From an experienced coffee consumer, I enjoyed my coffee here very much. I’ve drank coffee from all over the world. The milk here nicely frothed. Taste is very good. Order to your taste preferences. Big or small, which milk, how many shots. Whatever suits you. They also have many different kinds of pastries, cookies and cakes. I have not tried them yet, but they all look great. Also the woman who was working was very kind, and helpful. Great service!

Slightly slow service, but the quality of the matcha made it worth the wait. It was a vibrant green, smooth, and made without sweeteners. We also heard the coffee is excellent.

If there any more stars, I’d give them! Fantastic service and a great hidden gem, that if you didn’t see people walk around with the cups, you wouldn’t know it’s there. We went back every day! Service was brilliant and great English speaking staff! Thanks again

Very nice speciality coffee, cozy place and perfect service. I come here quite often to enjoy the drinks as much as a conversation with Mouad (the barista)!

Recommended to myself and my partner by our tattoo artist (shout out Carmen @ Haus of Tattoo), and so worth it! It’s a cute little spot with only 2 chairs, but every time we’ve been, we’ve been able to sit and chat with each other and with Rebecca behind the bar. They have bags of beans you can buy and they’ll grind them up for you if you like. Excellent, kind service. Not sure if anyone else besides Rebecca works there but she has quickly become a highlight of our time in Sevilla. Highly recommend 🙂

So hot: can't touch this. - The place varies quite a bit in quality or: Consistency is not found due to a volatility in professionalism. As always, I order the Cappuchino (3€ , normal size, Jan 2026) for a reasonable price. Food quality: One time the coffee is well balanced and the flavor is pretty good but with the typical Coffee-sweetness of many small roasters. The other day the milk is so hot that you can't touch the paper cup - and it is undrinkable hot. Sorry, but this place can't be recommended. The Armosphere is rated 2 because there is a busy road in front and inside no where to sit. Thus: not a place to sit quietly and enjoy spending a relaxed time. Overall: Next please.

We’re in Seville for 3 nights and came across Café Nina — such a lovely find! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh and hot. I tried an empanada for the first time and instantly fell in love with the flaky, delicious texture. The Nina Latte was also a cute twist with a hint of banana flavour. Definitely a spot I’ll return to! Here are my pics 📸

This coffee was at most acceptable however, I personally will not return. I ordered a large Cappuchino for 3,80 € (Jan. 2026) - easily a rather elevated price but one notices that this place get frequented by tourist who look for "something special" and don't mind paying higher prices. However, the Coffee tasted quite watery like flavoured brown water with good temperatured milk foam. Nothing more and nothing less.....there are many more places in Sevilla with better coffee and a better value for money.
Vancy★★★★★
The cappuccino was flavorful and full-bodied. It’s a tiny cafe, mainly focused on to-go orders. Since it’s sometimes not easy to find great coffee places in Seville, this spot is a real gem. Anyone who truly loves really good coffee should definitely visit this place!
James Maurice★★★★★
If you love your independent coffee shops that do coffee well then come here. Love to try different coffee shops wherever I visit, but after one visit here, I didnt need go elsewhere. Superb coffee and great service. Get your caffeine fix here!
GG★★★★★
Great strong coffee! Got the iced latte. No flavors available though
Kiki Leahy★★★☆☆
Similar experience to other reviews- for the price, the quality was not there. The coffee I was served was over extracted and watery. For the price and specialty vibe, I would have expected higher quality tuning of the beans from the barista. Fine if you don’t really care about coffee…

This coffee shop was on my radar being so highly rated but because of its limited open timings it was a struggle to get coffee but it sure paid off when I managed to try the coffee. Nestled on the streets beside the setas you can sit on a bench, bask in the sun and try this complex, deep flavoured that somehow wasn't bitter even without any sweetener ( I usually have coffee with sweetener). Top coffee experiences in Spain for me.
Kim Mendoza★★★★☆
Little coffee shop with lots of character! You can see in the details and interiors of the shop. Excellent service as well. The barista was very helpful and warm when we asked about the beans and items in the menu. We also enjoyed the coffee. Tried both iced latte Regina and espresso tonic which were both flavorful. I would’ve given it 5 stars if there were pastries. But overall, a must try!!

Looking for an independent coffee shop in Seville whilst on our walk there aren’t actually that many coffee shops. Googled and came across here, what a little gem of a find! Perfect cold coffee made to perfection - ingredients even weighed out! Only a couple of seats inside but I think many city people use it to have coffee on the go.
DC★★★★★
Stylish little coffee shop with fun décor and a relaxed feel. The setup is serious, with quality equipment behind the bar and a friendly barista who clearly knows what they’re doing. I had a double espresso for €3 which came with stunning crema and a very balanced flavour. A great quick stop for proper coffee in Seville. I’ll definitely return
Jayr the explorer★★★★★
Love their coffee.. offered filtered and espresso coffee beans.. went twice to grab their delicious latte.. they roast their own beans too… downside is not much seating area…
Laura Viana-Gardner★★★★★
I have tried a Cold Coconut Matcha and an Oat Matcha with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Both so creamy and absolutely DELICIOUS! It is clear the matcha is high quality and the woman that served me here was so meticulous in crafting the coffees and matchas, putting so much effort and thought into them. Couldn’t ask for much more from a coffee shop 😍 - you can also buy matcha power, coffee beans and much more separately!
Roya Shahrabi★★★★★
We grabbed a coffee with friends yesterday while walking through the touristic streets of Seville and decided to try this place. The barista was very professional, with his own special method of preparing coffee, and he was such a nice person. The coffee was excellent — as were the cookies, the drinks, and the decoration. Everything was really nice and pleasant.

LATE it is a coffee bar located not far away by alameda de hercules. The location it is tiny, fashionable and nice. The interior it is designed followed the minimalistic and freshly new yorker coffee bar style. The coffee it is well made it and one of the best tried in Sevilla. The service side sadly it is the least convincing part based on my experience. I can describe the service that I experienced like a little bit unfriendly and détachée. The Late’s it is a nice coffee bar but although If the service side was not satisfied I consider the LATE’s coffee bar a good place where to do a breakfast or a quick coffee break.
Christian Breitkreutz★★★★★
A cool coffee shop serving sandwiches and pastries, with solid coffee to match. It also works well as a spot to get some work done. The vibe is very hip and youthful, with a mix of locals and tourists. Staff felt a bit moody at times - though it might just be part of the place’s character.
Lea Sellam★★★★★
Good coffee places ! Recommend! WIFI 🛜 which is very rare in Spain in restaurants/ cafes . I love the cafe the carrot 🥕 cake was dry . The coffee is lovely
Anna Yanaeva★★★★★
As a coffee lover, checked out dozens of places around Sevilla and this is by far the best. It checks all the boxes: coffee is amazing, smooth and creamy. Food is great for a satisfying breakfast/brunch (jamon sandwich is to die for, avocado&feta is fresh and a great combo with fried almonds, chocolate cookie is not overly sweet and very flavorful). Last but not least: service is very friendly and efficient. It is a fairly small place, but I never had a problem finding a spot. Tables are cleaned in between guests (which is not always the case on other places). 10/10.

Lovely cafe close the Seville Cathedral. Thank you Inez for a wonderful service. She is welcoming, warm & gives good recommendations for what to order. Tasty coffee, açai bowl & bagel sandwiches. Banana bread and cinnamon rolls were a little dry, but yummy too! Highly recommended.

Exceptional coffee and cakes - especially if your an early bird, the Jester opens at 8am! Vegan brownie was fantastic and it was gluten free which I was genuinely suprised how nice it was. My partner had the carrot cake and loved it! Take away service was great.

Tips for Enjoying Coffee Near La Giralda

Navigating the coffee scene in the historic center requires a bit of local knowledge. The rules of engagement here differ slightly from the fast-paced coffee chains found elsewhere, and understanding the local customs will significantly enhance your experience and help you avoid common tourist pitfalls.

Know your coffee order. In Spain, a café con leche is half coffee, half hot milk; a café solo is a small, strong espresso; a cortado is espresso with just a dash of milk; and a manchado is mostly milk with a stain of coffee. If you want a large American-style drip coffee, ask for a café americano, as filter coffee is only standard in specialty shops.

Look for the tostado natural. Historically, Seville favored heavily roasted beans, sometimes dark and bitter. However, many local roasters are now switching to tostado natural (lighter roasts). If you prefer a smoother, less acidic cup without the burnt aftertaste, seek out cafés that advertise this style.

Stand at the bar for lower prices. Many traditional establishments charge a premium for table service. If you are in a hurry or looking to save a euro or two, order and drink your coffee standing at the bar like the locals do. It also offers a better view of the barista’s craft.

Mind the local hours. While specialty coffee shops may open early for breakfast (around 8:00 or 9:00 AM), many traditional cafés in the city center observe the afternoon siesta. Don’t be surprised if a smaller, family-run spot closes between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, reopening later for the evening crowd.

Pair your coffee with a local pastry. Avoid the generic croissants and look for Sevillian specialties. A tosta de aceite (toast with olive oil and tomato) or a slice of tarta de Santiago pairs beautifully with a strong espresso. In the winter, try dipping torrijas into your coffee.

The beauty of the area surrounding La Giralda is that you can seamlessly blend sightseeing with culinary discovery. A quick coffee break can easily turn into an hour of people-watching on a sunny plaza, giving you a genuine feel for the rhythm of Sevillian life.

Whether you are a purist seeking a perfectly extracted espresso or a casual traveler in need of a cold caffeine fix, this neighborhood delivers. Use this guide to step off the main thoroughfares and discover the independent cafés that make Seville one of Spain’s most exciting coffee destinations.
