10 Best Breakfast and Brunch Near La Giralda

La Giralda is more than Seville’s most recognizable landmark. It is also the geographic and emotional heart of the city, where the narrow, winding streets of the old Jewish quarter meet the grand, open plazas of the commercial center. For visitors and locals alike, the area surrounding the bell tower is where the day begins, often with the smell of fresh orange juice, toasted bread, and roasted coffee drifting from a nearby bar. Finding the right spot to eat here is not just about convenience; it is about setting the tone for a day of exploration in one of Spain’s most atmospheric cities.

The breakfast culture in Seville is distinct and deeply rooted in daily life. Unlike the heavy, sweet pastries of northern Europe, a traditional Andalusian breakfast often revolves around toasted bread topped with crushed tomato, olive oil, and Iberian ham, or perhaps a flaky pastry paired with a strong café con leche. Brunch, on the other hand, is a more recent but welcome import that has been adapted to suit the local love of slow dining and high-quality ingredients. The streets around La Giralda offer a fascinating blend of both worlds.

Because this area is a major tourist hub, it can be a challenge to separate the genuinely excellent kitchens from the overpriced tourist traps. However, if you know where to look, you will find family-run institutions that have been serving the neighborhood for generations, standing side-by-side with modern, design-conscious cafés that cater to a more international brunch crowd. The key is to look for places that respect the local produce—especially the famous Jamón Ibérico, local cheeses, and the region’s exceptional olive oil.

One of the great advantages of eating near La Giralda is the setting. Many of the best spots offer outdoor seating on a quiet, tiled plaza or a view of the cathedral’s buttresses and the tower itself. There is a special magic to sipping a morning coffee while the bells of the Giralda ring out over the rooftops. It is a sensory experience that combines the culinary with the architectural splendor of the city.

To help you navigate the options, we have focused on establishments that offer consistent quality, good value, and a genuine sense of place. Whether you are looking for a quick, traditional breakfast before the crowds arrive or a leisurely weekend brunch with freshly squeezed juices and specialty coffee, the immediate vicinity of the cathedral has something to satisfy every craving. The following list represents the best of both traditional Spanish mornings and contemporary brunch culture.

It is worth noting that Spanish meal times can differ from what many international visitors are used to. While many cafés open early for breakfast, brunch service often starts later and runs into the early afternoon. Planning your meal around these hours will ensure you get the freshest food and the best service, as the kitchens are operating at their peak. With that in mind, here are the standout places to eat near the base of Seville’s most iconic tower.

Absolutely the best food I’ve ever had! Every dish was incredibly delicious, and the presentation was simply outstanding. You can tell that every detail is carefully thought out. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was excellent, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

My favourite breakfast / brunch place in Seville! The food is amazing and a good price. It tastes so fresh and there are English menu’s if needed. The staff also speak English which is very helpful and there are lots of good food options available. Sometimes it can take a while to pay if the place is busy but I definitely recommend it (especially the mascarpone pancakes and orange juice). It is also worth noting that it can get busy quite early on in the day so if you’re coming for breakfast, I recommend coming as soon as it opens to avoid queues.

For two days in a row went for brunch there. Saturday was bit busier so had to wait in line for about 10 min but it was definitely worth the wait. Portions great, menu big and actually interesting and representation amazing. Highly recommend it and cannot wait to come back.

Excellent place for breakfast. Our favourite throughout our stay in Seville. The poached eggs are perfectly cooked. Offers good value in today's climate.

Perfect spot for brunch, with options for every taste, both savory and sweet. They also offer many vegetarian options for savory dishes. It’s located in a central area of the city and is small but well-designed. There are seats both indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for a meal that’s a little different from the usual. The service was reasonably fast, and all the staff were kind and polite. I highly recommend it.
Hannah Balogun★★★★★
I visited Moya today for breakfast, and it was amazing!! Not only was the cafe really aesthetically pleasing and beuatiful, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, the vibes were nice, the staff was amazing, especially Jara. She was really friendly, accomodating, and sweet. Overall, amazing vibes, I would definitely come back! I got the waffle, eggs, avocado, and bacon, and just a great start to my day overall. Thank you, Jara and Moya once again for your great hospitality.
Sanne★★★★★
We absolutely loved Moya — so much that we came here every single day during our week in Sevilla. My brother had recommended it from a previous trip, and he was absolutely right. I ordered the Açaí Bowl every morning, he always took the Tropical Smoothie Bowl, and another in our group went for the hummus avocado toast. All of it was consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The coffee was also really good — we tried both regular‑milk and oat‑milk cappuccinos (the small ones) and both were excellent. The juices were a bit on the sour side for my taste, but everything else was perfect. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. By the end of the week, they didn’t even need to ask for my order anymore — they remembered it. The vibe isn’t traditional Spanish; it’s more of a Bali‑style, pink, “Instagrammable” brunch spot. Not usually my type of atmosphere, but the food is absolutely amazing, so it didn’t matter at all. Truly highly, highly, highly recommend. One of our favourite breakfast places in Sevilla.
Pieter Cools★★★★★
What a pleasant surprise to discover near our hotel. A vibrant place with pink accents that immediately lightens up your day. We took the waffle with omelette and avocado and the açaí bowl. Both were freshly made and delicious. But the real star was the coffee, a Burundi origin coffee with nice floral notes and a pleasant non bitter finish. Will come back here tomorrow!
Sonia Petrini★★★★☆
Lovely spot in a small street 🙂 exactly what I was looking for. The chai latte had the perfect sweetness and temperature, and the corn fritters were good, although the avocado could've been better. I had no problem finding a place to eat, and it was not too crowded despite being Sunday. Overall very good experience! Service was very welcoming.

We had a wonderful breakfast experience at La Mala Brunch! We customized their Eggs Benedict toast by asking them to remove the bacon, and it was absolutely amazing with its sauce and bread. The pistachio cream croissant was also really good. Based on the reviews, we ordered the mascarpone pancake, and it was delicious too. In short, no matter what you order here, it is truly flavorful. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and solution-oriented. A fantastic breakfast spot in Seville that I highly recommend without hesitation!
Yayi Girl★★★★★
Delicious! Our waiter was very kind and attentive from the moment we sat down. Everything is made to order, which you can really taste in the quality. The coffee was also a standout — made just the way you like it. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent brunch at La Mala Brunch! We had several breakfasts there during our stay and everything was absolutely perfect. The place is modern and pleasant, although it can get a bit noisy during busy hours, which also shows how popular the restaurant is. The menu is very varied, with both indulgent and healthy options: pancakes, bagels, bowls, brunch burgers, fresh smoothies… it’s hard to choose because everything looks delicious. The products are fresh, beautifully presented, and the portions are generous. A real favorite in Seville, both for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. This place truly deserves its excellent Google rating. We would definitely recommend it and gladly come back!

During my stay in Seville, this hidden gem was right in front of the apartment we rented. I initially stopped by for a coffee, but the menu looked so appetizing that I decided to order the club sandwich as well, and it was amazing! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A very cool spot with excellent food and coffee. Highly recommended!
Ronnie Adel★★★★★
One of the best and delicious brunch ever had. The place is a little bit busy and there is a waiting list, but definitely worth the wait. Coffee came hot and strong, food was super tasty, fresh and delicious too. Everything was top notch quality indeed. This is a highly recognizable place in Seville.

The food is fresh, healthy, and packed with flavor. Their coffee is fantastic, and the attention to detail is top-notch. What truly makes this place special, though, is the staff. They are exceptionally kind, professional, and welcoming. If you are looking for a great start to your morning in Seville, do not miss this lovely spot. Highly recommended! 😊

We found this vibrant cafe, tucked into a street near our hotel. A perfect place to stop for fresh, healthy food with such a variety! We visited twice and would recommend. Really sets you up for a great start to a busy day. The food and coffee were excellent and the service quick, considering options and variety being prepared. A busy corner but we only waited 5 mins for a table to be cleared. Staff were so friendly and thanks to the Irishman who encouraged me to speak in Spanish! We’ll visit again on a future trip. Disfrutes… give it a try!
Savannah Cooper★★★★★
What a cozy cutie vibe, not the mention the food was very yummy too! We shared an açaí bowl, the Mediterranean tostada, and mango bagel sandwich. All were super delicious and had a great presentation. The golden latte felt like it was made of tumeric and milk, which was not for us, but they had many other drinks. The staff were also very kind. A good place for locals and tourists as they had an English menu and were understanding with my rough Spanish.
Ömer G.★★★★★
Foods were absolutely delicious. The person who served us was very kind and friendly. If you’re looking to enjoy a tasty and relaxing brunch in a cozy, boutique spot on a quiet street, I would definitely recommend this place.
Claudia Decicco★★★★★
We had the pleasure to enjoy a breakfast at Chia. The quality of ingredients is great, both for sweet and salty options. The place is tiny but comfortable and the two guys managing are making their best to give the best experience to the people on the inside. No queue in front of the place, they will accomodate you only if there is space to give everyone the best experience

Great spot to stop for a rest and something a bit different to eat if you fancy a tiny break from tapas! Very friendly service and lovely, freshly made food and great coffee! Close to the 'mushrooms' and easy to find, but it still manages to be a little oasis of calm.

A popular breakfast place with indoor and outdoor seating. The servers are very friendly and they try to accommodate any requests/changes to orders. The service was fast and the food did not disappoint. The eggs benedict was really good, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon and hollandaise sauce tasted good together. The pancakes were warm and fluffy and delicious! The omelette was seasoned well and the Moroccan tea transported me back to Morocco.
Isi★★★★★
I had the Superfood Omelette, and I found it to be extremely fresh and filling. I also ordered the red detox, which was refreshing and tasty. Enrique’s customer service is top notch; he is very warm and friendly. The outdoor seating is great. I’d definitely recommend this place and I would come back here again!
Zahira Moukhlis★☆☆☆☆
The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of the experience. The food had almost no flavour and was very bland. The coffee also had a strange, unpleasant taste. To make matters worse, the egg dishes served during brunch had a very strong smell, which made them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant looks nice, but the quality and taste of the food were very disappointing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely amazing breakfast at Billy Brunch! The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the incredible service. The gentleman who served us was outstanding, especially with our children. He was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. We would definitely recommend Billy Brunch to anyone looking for a great breakfast and excellent service. We will 100% be going back again! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. 🙌🍳🥓
Nick Bornstein★★★★★
Absolutely outstanding brunch experience in Seville! We visited Billy Brunch on a beautiful morning in Seville and it instantly became one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, stylish decor, and mouthwatering menu had us excited. The food was exceptional — generous portions, fresh ingredients, and perfectly executed dishes. The pancakes were fluffy and decadent, the Eggs Benedict had that perfect runny yolk, and the avocado toast was elevated with delicious toppings. Everything was packed with flavor, and they had great options for different dietary preferences too. The coffee was strong and smooth — exactly what we needed to start the day right. But what truly made our visit special was our incredible server, Rocio. She was amazing from start to finish! So friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Rocio made us feel genuinely welcome, checked in at the perfect moments, and had the warmest smile the whole time. Her service went above and beyond — she made our meal feel personal and extra enjoyable. Thank you, Rocio! Billy Brunch is a must-visit if you’re in Seville. Whether you’re craving all-day breakfast, healthy options, or something indulgent, this place delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Andalusia. Highly recommend — 10/10!

Great establishment! Amazing food and great staff. We are vegetarian and they were able to meet our needs. A family with robust kids was there and the staff dealt with the kids so patiently since parents were aloof and not parenting!
Lyse Parvedy★★★★★
Really cute coffee shop Here's a rating of everything I tasted : Salted caramel coffee: 100000/5 I can't believe, It tasted exactly like a sweet Mango, pineapple, papaya juice: 1/5, I come from a tropical island with really sweet fruits so maybe that's why I thought the juice was a bit lame. But at least, it looked fresh Benedictina : 3,5/5 not my best egg Benedict, but definitely a good one, don't hesitate to give it a try. The miso in the hollandaise made it a bit salty to me. Turkish eggs : 5/5 delicious, nothing else to add Shashuka : 4/5 mine is better, just my ego speaking Hot chocolate: 5/5 delicious 😋 a hug that you can drink The staff is friendly and speak English quite well so a very tourist-friendly place. Price are not very high.
Soefae Chen★★★★★
Very cute nook for a cozy and calm breakfast. The food portions are quite small, but their Spaniard drinks were quite well made and delicious.
joanna szulc★★★★★
Believe me this place is extraordinary heaven on earth! Great speciality coffee is served here, which is rather rare in Spain. And here I ate the best quesadilla in my life 🙂 My family recomends superb shakshuka, pankcakes and vanilla milksake 🙂 all slow food 🙂

I booked Purita for a group of 20, and it couldn't have been a better experience! We paid a deposit, and did a pre order of food, and when we got there we were greeted by the lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere. All the food was delicious, all the drinks were too! I would recommend Purita small or large groups, and will definitely be visiting when I come back!

A special thank you to Enrique for his outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. We visited for Sunday breakfast at opening time to avoid the busy period. We have visited the Barcelona site 2 years earlier and were pleased to recognise the same style, menu and details in Sevilla. The Eggs Benedict is lovely as are the fluffy pancakes. However, a whole portion can be a struggle to finish for one person as they are quite thick and the portion size is huge for a sweet plate of food! The avocado toast was also enjoyed and we loved the sheet of chia that was cleverly incorporated into the dish! Drinks are also good with a decent selection of hot and iced coffees to kickstart the day.
Ankur Verma★★★★★
Finally, we ended up going to this place that was really close to our hotel. It was recommended by a friend of ours, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best places to just relax and unwind. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, the vibes were amazing, and the food was genuinely good too. After a long day, it was exactly the kind of spot we needed. And the best part — they had free internet finally! The staff also spoke English, which made everything so much easier and more comfortable for us. Overall, we had an amazing time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a chill and cozy place to enjoy good food and relax.

Great brunch place with variety of options in the menu. The superfood omelette (spinach, kale, parsley) was very delicious served with tasty sourdough bread and it is generous in portion! Coffee was average in taste, could have been better. Next time I will definitely try out their fluffy pancakes which also looks amazing!

This is our second time back. We came back for the sangria. Tried sangria at multiple places and this was by far the best. The Greek salad and the pastrami sandwich was fantastic. The service was on pint and the atmosphere relaxing and cool as they had ac inside. It was hot outside but the ac was refreshing. If it wasn’t hot the patio was adorable. Definitely a go back place.
Latisha Dutch★★★★★
This was perfect for what I was looking for as I strolled seeking breakfast. I didn’t get anything fancy, just bacon & eggs with a Berries Smoothie. The smoothie was refreshing and had no added sugar. We ate at a cute little table with a window which was perfect for people watching. The waiter was courteous, and the service was fast!

Fantastic breakfast spot! Fresh and flaky croissants and good options for everyone. Well priced considering the square it’s located in. Sebastian our server was attentive and great!

Essential Tips for Finding a Great Breakfast or Brunch Near La Giralda

Navigating the dining scene around a major monument requires a bit of local knowledge to ensure you end up with a memorable meal rather than a mediocre one. The area directly facing the cathedral is beautiful, but the most authentic and best-value food is often found just a street or two away. Understanding a few key habits and expectations can significantly elevate your morning dining experience in this historic neighborhood.

First, embrace the local custom of the "tostada." When you see locals ordering breakfast, they are usually eating a large, crusty slice of toasted bread topped with tomato and olive oil, perhaps with jamón or a slice of manchego cheese. It is simple, affordable, and delicious. Second, do not be afraid to sit at the bar. In traditional Spanish cafés, standing or sitting at the bar is often cheaper than table service and gives you a front-row seat to the action of the morning rush. Third, if you are seeking a more international brunch, look for places that advertise "brunch" specifically, as they will have menus featuring eggs, avocado, pancakes, and specialty coffee. Fourth, check the opening hours carefully, especially on Sundays and public holidays, as many traditional bars may close or have limited hours while brunch spots are often busiest. Finally, remember that quality coffee is a priority; look for specialty coffee shops if you prefer a flat white or a well-sourced single-origin espresso over the traditional strong café con leche.

The area around La Giralda offers an incredible range of morning meals, from the humble and historic to the modern and indulgent. By stepping slightly off the main tourist thoroughfares and following the lead of the locals, you can discover a breakfast that fuels your sightseeing and connects you to the culinary soul of Seville. Whether you are sitting in a sun-drenched plaza or a stylish, air-conditioned interior, the first meal of the day here is an event to be savored. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and let the flavors of Andalusia prepare you for the wonders that await just beyond the cathedral doors.
