Wandering the labyrinthine halls of the Real Alcázar is an appetite-inducing experience. The sheer scale of the Mudéjar architecture, combined with the sensory overload of the intricate tile work and the scent of orange trees in the gardens, requires serious fuel. While the area immediately surrounding the palace gates is often crowded with tourist traps serving soggy paella, the true culinary soul of Seville lies just a few minutes’ walk away.
Navigating the narrow, winding streets of the Santa Cruz quarter or crossing into the bustling Arenal neighborhood reveals a world of culinary delights. From traditional Andalusian staples to modern, health-conscious brunch spots, the city offers a diverse range of options to satisfy your post-palace hunger. Knowing where to go ensures you don’t waste precious sightseeing time wandering in circles.
This guide is curated specifically for visitors stepping out of the palace gates. We focus on accessibility, quality, and atmosphere to help you transition seamlessly from historical exploration to gastronomic satisfaction. Whether you are craving a quick espresso and a tostada or a long, lazy brunch with bottomless mimosas, there is a spot nearby for you.
Understanding local eating times is crucial for a successful brunch hunt. Spaniards generally eat breakfast early (before 11:00 AM) and lunch late (after 2:00 PM). The venues listed below bridge this gap, offering breakfast menus well into the afternoon or full brunch services designed to accommodate the international traveler’s clock.
Our selection prioritizes establishments that maintain high standards despite their proximity to a major tourist hub. We look for freshly squeezed juices, high-quality Iberian pork, locally roasted coffee, and pastries baked on-site. These are places where locals still linger, ensuring an authentic taste of Sevillian hospitality.
Below, you will find a handpicked selection of the ten best places to eat breakfast or brunch within walking distance of the Royal Alcázar. Each venue has been chosen for its distinct character, menu quality, and ability to provide a memorable dining experience without breaking the bank.

Went with a group and ordered variety of items. It's amazing how they are able to perfect the different food options
Highly recommend pancakes and french toast if you want sweet
Pistachio latte was delicious
Mala and impossible burger were amazing as well
You can't go wrong with any options
Only caveat the wait is long. Took us 45 min to get a table. Come early !

Absolutely the best food I’ve ever had! Every dish was incredibly delicious, and the presentation was simply outstanding. You can tell that every detail is carefully thought out. The atmosphere was amazing, the service was excellent, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

My favourite breakfast / brunch place in Seville! The food is amazing and a good price. It tastes so fresh and there are English menu’s if needed. The staff also speak English which is very helpful and there are lots of good food options available. Sometimes it can take a while to pay if the place is busy but I definitely recommend it (especially the mascarpone pancakes and orange juice). It is also worth noting that it can get busy quite early on in the day so if you’re coming for breakfast, I recommend coming as soon as it opens to avoid queues.

For two days in a row went for brunch there. Saturday was bit busier so had to wait in line for about 10 min but it was definitely worth the wait. Portions great, menu big and actually interesting and representation amazing. Highly recommend it and cannot wait to come back.

Excellent place for breakfast. Our favourite throughout our stay in Seville. The poached eggs are perfectly cooked. Offers good value in today's climate.

The food is fresh, healthy, and packed with flavor. Their coffee is fantastic, and the attention to detail is top-notch. What truly makes this place special, though, is the staff. They are exceptionally kind, professional, and welcoming. If you are looking for a great start to your morning in Seville, do not miss this lovely spot.
Highly recommended! 😊

We found this vibrant cafe, tucked into a street near our hotel. A perfect place to stop for fresh, healthy food with such a variety! We visited twice and would recommend. Really sets you up for a great start to a busy day. The food and coffee were excellent and the service quick, considering options and variety being prepared. A busy corner but we only waited 5 mins for a table to be cleared. Staff were so friendly and thanks to the Irishman who encouraged me to speak in Spanish! We’ll visit again on a future trip. Disfrutes… give it a try!
Savannah Cooper★★★★★
What a cozy cutie vibe, not the mention the food was very yummy too! We shared an açaí bowl, the Mediterranean tostada, and mango bagel sandwich. All were super delicious and had a great presentation. The golden latte felt like it was made of tumeric and milk, which was not for us, but they had many other drinks. The staff were also very kind. A good place for locals and tourists as they had an English menu and were understanding with my rough Spanish.

Foods were absolutely delicious. The person who served us was very kind and friendly. If you’re looking to enjoy a tasty and relaxing brunch in a cozy, boutique spot on a quiet street, I would definitely recommend this place.

We had the pleasure to enjoy a breakfast at Chia. The quality of ingredients is great, both for sweet and salty options. The place is tiny but comfortable and the two guys managing are making their best to give the best experience to the people on the inside. No queue in front of the place, they will accomodate you only if there is space to give everyone the best experience

Perfect spot for brunch, with options for every taste, both savory and sweet. They also offer many vegetarian options for savory dishes. It’s located in a central area of the city and is small but well-designed. There are seats both indoors and outdoors, making it perfect for a meal that’s a little different from the usual. The service was reasonably fast, and all the staff were kind and polite. I highly recommend it.

I visited Moya today for breakfast, and it was amazing!! Not only was the cafe really aesthetically pleasing and beuatiful, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, the vibes were nice, the staff was amazing, especially Jara. She was really friendly, accomodating, and sweet.
Overall, amazing vibes, I would definitely come back! I got the waffle, eggs, avocado, and bacon, and just a great start to my day overall. Thank you, Jara and Moya once again for your great hospitality.
Sanne★★★★★
We absolutely loved Moya — so much that we came here every single day during our week in Sevilla. My brother had recommended it from a previous trip, and he was absolutely right.
I ordered the Açaí Bowl every morning, he always took the Tropical Smoothie Bowl, and another in our group went for the hummus avocado toast. All of it was consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The coffee was also really good — we tried both regular‑milk and oat‑milk cappuccinos (the small ones) and both were excellent.
The juices were a bit on the sour side for my taste, but everything else was perfect.
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. By the end of the week, they didn’t even need to ask for my order anymore — they remembered it.
The vibe isn’t traditional Spanish; it’s more of a Bali‑style, pink, “Instagrammable” brunch spot. Not usually my type of atmosphere, but the food is absolutely amazing, so it didn’t matter at all.
Truly highly, highly, highly recommend. One of our favourite breakfast places in Sevilla.
Pieter Cools★★★★★
What a pleasant surprise to discover near our hotel. A vibrant place with pink accents that immediately lightens up your day. We took the waffle with omelette and avocado and the açaí bowl. Both were freshly made and delicious. But the real star was the coffee, a Burundi origin coffee with nice floral notes and a pleasant non bitter finish. Will come back here tomorrow!
Sonia Petrini★★★★☆
Lovely spot in a small street 🙂 exactly what I was looking for. The chai latte had the perfect sweetness and temperature, and the corn fritters were good, although the avocado could've been better. I had no problem finding a place to eat, and it was not too crowded despite being Sunday. Overall very good experience! Service was very welcoming.

A popular breakfast place with indoor and outdoor seating. The servers are very friendly and they try to accommodate any requests/changes to orders. The service was fast and the food did not disappoint. The eggs benedict was really good, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon and hollandaise sauce tasted good together. The pancakes were warm and fluffy and delicious! The omelette was seasoned well and the Moroccan tea transported me back to Morocco.
Isi★★★★★
I had the Superfood Omelette, and I found it to be extremely fresh and filling. I also ordered the red detox, which was refreshing and tasty. Enrique’s customer service is top notch; he is very warm and friendly. The outdoor seating is great. I’d definitely recommend this place and I would come back here again!
Zahira Moukhlis★☆☆☆☆
The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of the experience. The food had almost no flavour and was very bland. The coffee also had a strange, unpleasant taste. To make matters worse, the egg dishes served during brunch had a very strong smell, which made them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant looks nice, but the quality and taste of the food were very disappointing.

We had an absolutely amazing breakfast at Billy Brunch! The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the incredible service. The gentleman who served us was outstanding, especially with our children. He was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
We would definitely recommend Billy Brunch to anyone looking for a great breakfast and excellent service. We will 100% be going back again! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. 🙌🍳🥓

Absolutely outstanding brunch experience in Seville!
We visited Billy Brunch on a beautiful morning in Seville and it instantly became one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, stylish decor, and mouthwatering menu had us excited.
The food was exceptional — generous portions, fresh ingredients, and perfectly executed dishes. The pancakes were fluffy and decadent, the Eggs Benedict had that perfect runny yolk, and the avocado toast was elevated with delicious toppings. Everything was packed with flavor, and they had great options for different dietary preferences too. The coffee was strong and smooth — exactly what we needed to start the day right.
But what truly made our visit special was our incredible server, Rocio. She was amazing from start to finish! So friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Rocio made us feel genuinely welcome, checked in at the perfect moments, and had the warmest smile the whole time. Her service went above and beyond — she made our meal feel personal and extra enjoyable. Thank you, Rocio!
Billy Brunch is a must-visit if you’re in Seville. Whether you’re craving all-day breakfast, healthy options, or something indulgent, this place delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Andalusia.
Highly recommend — 10/10!

We had a wonderful breakfast experience at La Mala Brunch! We customized their Eggs Benedict toast by asking them to remove the bacon, and it was absolutely amazing with its sauce and bread. The pistachio cream croissant was also really good. Based on the reviews, we ordered the mascarpone pancake, and it was delicious too. In short, no matter what you order here, it is truly flavorful. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and solution-oriented. A fantastic breakfast spot in Seville that I highly recommend without hesitation!

Delicious! Our waiter was very kind and attentive from the moment we sat down. Everything is made to order, which you can really taste in the quality. The coffee was also a standout — made just the way you like it. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent brunch at La Mala Brunch!
We had several breakfasts there during our stay and everything was absolutely perfect. The place is modern and pleasant, although it can get a bit noisy during busy hours, which also shows how popular the restaurant is.
The menu is very varied, with both indulgent and healthy options: pancakes, bagels, bowls, brunch burgers, fresh smoothies… it’s hard to choose because everything looks delicious.
The products are fresh, beautifully presented, and the portions are generous.
A real favorite in Seville, both for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. This place truly deserves its excellent Google rating. We would definitely recommend it and gladly come back!

During my stay in Seville, this hidden gem was right in front of the apartment we rented. I initially stopped by for a coffee, but the menu looked so appetizing that I decided to order the club sandwich as well, and it was amazing! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A very cool spot with excellent food and coffee. Highly recommended!

One of the best and delicious brunch ever had.
The place is a little bit busy and there is a waiting list, but definitely worth the wait.
Coffee came hot and strong, food was super tasty, fresh and delicious too.
Everything was top notch quality indeed.
This is a highly recognizable place in Seville.

If you’re looking for the best brunch in Seville, Milky Way deserves a spot on your list. From the food to the service, everything was excellent.
My daughter ordered the Energizer Açaí Bowl and rated it a 10/10. The pistachio pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, the matcha tea was perfectly prepared, and the Caprese burrata sandwich was fresh, filling, and delicious. My caramel macchiato was the perfect complement to brunch.
What made the experience even better was the customer service. We had just arrived in Seville and were waiting for check-in at our Airbnb. The staff graciously welcomed us and our luggage, making us feel comfortable and cared for from the moment we walked in.
For anyone searching for a top-rated brunch restaurant in Seville with great coffee, açaí bowls, specialty drinks, pancakes, sandwiches, and exceptional service, Milky Way is an easy recommendation. The fact that we ate everything before remembering to take photos says it all.
M Ra7bi★★★★☆
I visited this place for breakfast. The space is large, clean, and operates on a self-service system where you order via QR code and pay directly, which is quite convenient. They offer a good variety of food options.
I ordered a flat white, but the coffee was not very well executed. I believe there is room for improvement, both in the choice of beans and the preparation.
The food, however, was very delicious and clearly made with care. The staff were also very friendly.
I am giving this place 4 stars mainly because the coffee could be improved.
Harsh Patel★★★★☆
Our first brunch stop of the day and we had planned ahead with a reservation. Seated right away and ordered conveniently via phone.
Here's what we ordered:
Choco Acai Bowl: Pretty mid overall. The acai came out a bit watery, though the housemade peanut butter was a saving grace and absolutely delicious.
Caprese Panini: The best burrata I've ever had. Perfectly crispy sandwich with a fresh and flavorful combination of ingredients. A must order.
The bowls have room to improve but the panini more than made up for it. Worth a visit for that alone!
starczynski★★★★★
One of the best breakfast I had in Seville. Lots of options even do vegans and vegetarians. Smoothie bowls, sandwiches, bagels! You get good food for low price!
Try pickles, they are so good!
Dinesh Patel★★★★★
The restaurant from outside looked appealing, and once inside, very clean and great atmosphere.
We being vegetarian, were not sure, but very quickly Manuel and Carmen quickly assured us, they will customise to our requirements.
We ordered off menu, and each time quality was great. Panini, croissants, bagels
We returned here every morning for 5 days for our breakfast, greeted very warmly by everyone.
No lunch as would not be in the area after breakfast.

We visited for Sunday breakfast at opening time to avoid the busy period. We have visited the Barcelona site 2 years earlier and were pleased to recognise the same style, menu and details in Sevilla. The Eggs Benedict is lovely as are the fluffy pancakes. However, a whole portion can be a struggle to finish for one person as they are quite thick and the portion size is huge for a sweet plate of food! The avocado toast was also enjoyed and we loved the sheet of chia that was cleverly incorporated into the dish! Drinks are also good with a decent selection of hot and iced coffees to kickstart the day.
Ankur Verma★★★★★
Finally, we ended up going to this place that was really close to our hotel. It was recommended by a friend of ours, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best places to just relax and unwind. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, the vibes were amazing, and the food was genuinely good too. After a long day, it was exactly the kind of spot we needed.
And the best part — they had free internet finally! The staff also spoke English, which made everything so much easier and more comfortable for us. Overall, we had an amazing time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a chill and cozy place to enjoy good food and relax.

Great brunch place with variety of options in the menu. The superfood omelette (spinach, kale, parsley) was very delicious served with tasty sourdough bread and it is generous in portion! Coffee was average in taste, could have been better.
Next time I will definitely try out their fluffy pancakes which also looks amazing!

If I could provide 6/5 stars for the service, I would! Yann was such an incredible host - he provided us with such insightful knowledge about the city and its culture, as well as showing respect for our dietary preferences. The menu has a vast array of options and suitable for vegetarians. Although it’s not halal, the host ensured that pork is cooked and prepared separately and there are plenty of options to choose from. I had the cilbir and it was delightful! Plenty of searing available both inside and outside. Place is very popular but we didn’t need to book!

I didn’t understand the hype about here. It definitelt is a tourist place, no locals would pay 20€ for a breakfast. The food was presented like art but lacked the taste. They did definetely not look like the pictures in the menu. There was sonething really wrong about the coffe. Very friendly and fluent English speaking staff was the only positive thing.

Dropped by Brunchit on my last morning in Sevilla and I’m glad I did! It’s a super aesthetic and cosy spot with aesthetically pleasing and truly good food (i felt bad touching my plate, it looked like such a work of art!)
Had a chai latte with my meal and a coffee to go and both were phenomenal!
Staff are also super kind and friendly (one guy especially was such a sarcastic polyglot, he unknowingly made my last day in such a beautiful city)
10/10 would go back!

Tips for Enjoying Breakfast and Brunch in Seville
Navigating the Sevillian food scene requires a slight adjustment of expectations, particularly regarding timing and menu formats. By understanding a few local customs, you can avoid the disappointment of closed kitchens or subpar tourist meals. These practical tips will help you eat like a local and maximize your culinary budget while exploring the area around the palace.
Understand the Timing
While these restaurants cater to tourists, traditional Spanish breakfast spots may not serve eggs or heavy food after 12:00 PM. If you wake up late and want a full English breakfast or pancakes, look specifically for "brunch" venues rather than traditional cafés. Conversely, if you want churros or toast with tomato, go early when the locals go.
Look for Menu del Día
If your palace visit runs long and you end up eating closer to 2:00 PM, skip the brunch menu and look for a "Menú del Día." This is a fixed-price lunch menu offered by many restaurants in the area. It usually includes a starter, main course, dessert, and a drink for a very reasonable price, offering better value than ordering à la carte.
Reservations Are Your Friend
Seville is one of the most visited cities in Spain, and the best brunch spots near the Alcázar are often small and intimate. If you have your heart set on a specific place, especially on weekends, call ahead or check if they take bookings online. Waiting for a table in the midday sun can be exhausting after hours of walking through the palace.
Beware of the "Tourist Trap" Trap
A general rule of thumb: if a restaurant has a barker standing outside trying to pull you in, or if the menu has glossy photos of every dish, keep walking. Authentic Sevillian spots rely on their reputation and the quality of their food, not aggressive marketing. Walk two blocks further away from the main gate to find better prices and higher quality ingredients.
Embrace the Local Staples
While it is fine to crave avocado toast, do not leave Seville without trying a "Tostada con Tomate y Jamón" or a "Mollete." These simple dishes highlight the incredible quality of Spanish olive oil and Iberian ham. Pair it with fresh orange juice from Seville oranges for a truly local breakfast experience that is both light and energizing.
Bring Cash for Small Bills
While most established restaurants accept credit cards, many small cafés and bars have a minimum spend for card transactions (often €10). If you are just stopping in for a coffee and a pastry, having a €10 or €20 note will save you the awkwardness of hunting for an ATM.
The area surrounding the Royal Alcázar is a vibrant tapestry of history and modern life. Taking the time to sit down for a proper meal here allows you to soak in the atmosphere of the Barrio de Santa Cruz rather than just rushing through it. Whether you choose a rooftop terrace with views of the Giralda or a hidden patio draped in bougainvillea, the dining experience is an essential part of understanding Seville.
Ultimately, the best brunch is the one that refuels you for the next stage of your adventure. With this list, you are equipped to skip the mediocre and dive straight into the delicious. Enjoy the flavors, the sunshine, and the unhurried pace of life that makes Seville truly magical.
