Great restaurant. I had wanted to go there for five years and finally booked in advance. We had a salad with prawns, which was really good, and the tataki as well. I loved the duck—it was good, but the only issue was that it was too rare for me. I prefer medium-rare, and the waiter should have asked how I wanted it cooked. We finished dinner with mango panna cotta and ice cream, which was excellent.

What a fabulous little restaurant! Service was wonderful and the food was just delicious! Highly recommend the scallops and aubergine stack, and then the tuna teriyaki and beef tenderloin. The chocolate fondant was delicious, but I found the.Canarian Polvito too sweet. Otherwise faultless. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Best restaurant we went to on the island. Food was just superb. Fresh ingredients. Brilliant combinations (we had the plantain starter, the croquetas, the aroz ball, the aubergine tower and the tacos). Great staff. Everything just felt right. Well done guys!

Best duck I had in years - succulent and perfectly spiced.
If you look for delicious food this is your place- stay away from promenade with overhyped mediocre dishes. Loved the mango panna cotta.

What a delight. Sad we only visiting Las Palmas. Our starters were amazing. Presentation and flavour first class. Steak and fish perfectly cooked. Faultless.

Went to this lovely restaurant as a party of 4 for lunch yesterday (30 April ‘26).
Excellent service from everyone and the food was delicious. I had the slow-cooked leg of suckling pig and the others had the pork ribs and great pork cheeks.
We will definitely be going back soon. A 10 out of 10 from me.
Booking a table advisable.

Carpaccio with truffle and vanilla ice cream? Best ever. Iberico steaks and octopus was great. We finished with banana desert was excellent.

Wow!
Best dining experience in a long time.
Staff so attentive and friendly.
We started with the guacamole which is made at the table! A show in it's self.
Main courses were both really amazing.
Glasses of house wine, red and white, were both delicious and very reasonably priced!
Wow, wish we lived closer we would be in on a regular basis.

Just landed in Las Palmas and randomly googled for places open for dinner on New Year’s Day. Rincon de Tirana was an option and I’m so glad we chose it. The food was phenomenal and the staff was super friendly. Big ups to Chris who helped us place the perfect orders. Hoping to be back soon!

The worst New year s dinner ever
This was the worst experience ever we had in any restaurant in this world
Long story short, we booked months ahead, on the phone from Norway
My Spanish is good, i was able to reserve a table at this restaurant, which by the way we loved before ,as a mention we been there at them at least 5 times, we are in there almost as regulars
We wanted a table at 21pm that evening, but they said on the phone that they would send the menu on WhatsApp, witch they did
Also they changed the time for our dinner from 21 pm to 19 30
In our mind sounded ok
And then the dissatisfaction
We were there at 19 30 on the New year s eve
Welcomed in a additional room part of them I assume, where we were taken to our table and.....
No music, no atmosphere, no nothing
The waiters come, one more scary an another, asking if we like something to drink
I have to mention that it was about a six course menu with open bar
I asked for some aperitif which we thought is an open bar, but the waiter sad, not now at the end
And then they come with the food,in one hour we were qicked out
We couldn't eat so fast we did not finish any of the courses, and the open bar consisted in one bottle of the cheapest Rioja
All this for 130 euro per person
So we paid for nothing 260 euro, to be on the streets, at 20 30 pm
And we didn't get the grapes and pistachios
Shame on you

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful owners and great food! Their croquetas are to die for, one portion is not enough. I also really love their rice dishes, so full of flavour. The cheesecake is also always very tasty, very delicate. Overall, highly recommended!

We were attended attentively by Marisol, she is the joint owner with her husband Juan who is the main chef.
Great place to enjoy some delicious dishes differently cooked to elsewhere.
Thoroughly recommend a visit to this place.
Candice Capelle★★★★★
Very lovely host, great food quality and taste, original twists on local cuisine and some innovative dishes! A bit pricey for Las Palmas but I would say the taste is worth it. I recommend the 40€ menu that is very generous!
Theodora Pislaru★★★★★
The best octopus in town, very tender & tasty.
Overall - excellent food, a lovely serving lady, a very clean place.
Lynn Tu★★★☆☆
In short: overpriced and food taste is off balanced (too sweet), but really nice ambience and passionate staff.
We spent a week at Las Palmas. Everyday we were impressed by the quality and taste of the food, except our last meal here on the island.
Pros: beautiful interior and nice plates. The waitress was really kind and passionate.
Cons: the food is off balanced - too sweet! The empanadas were sweet!
I was surprised when the bill came as it was the most expensive meal we had on the island - we went to several fine dining places with Michelins recommendations too but this one felt overpriced. No fresh seafood or big portions of proteins.
I left a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to this place due to the good reviews.

Great food and cocktails! Well priced and well located. A few dishes weren’t amazing ( veggie tacos and croquettes )
Ceviche and Octopus made up for it… so yum.
Jason Broomer★★★★★
Excellent. Lovely tacos, dumplings were very tasty with thin pastry and a moist meat centre covered in a delicious complementary sauce. I’ve had better octopus but only once. The tentacles were beautifully caramelised in honey, the only let down was that they were slightly chewy. Finished with a nice selection of treats with good coffee. Friendly wait staff. An exceptional evening
Robert Hollingworth★★★★★
Superb little spot in a quiet street in the old town. Fresh salads were especially delicious, and selection of wines too. Lovely, friendly service.
Been here twice now and really enjoyed it on both occasions. Highly recommend.
Angelica Spagoni★★★★★
A truly unforgettable dinner experience.
We came here for dinner and it was absolutely sublime.
The restaurant has just over 10 tables, making it cozy and intimate. The interior is warm and inviting, with a spotless and beautifully curated atmosphere. Every detail feels intentional. Service was impeccable — always attentive, never intrusive.
This is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever dined at. The menu offers studied dishes, yet each one is crafted with an incredible level of precision — from the cooking techniques to the pairing of sauces and sides. If you're looking for something more refined and different from the usual, this place is a must.
We ordered three dishes: octopus, tuna, and cod — all delicious, but the octopus was the real standout. For dessert, we shared the lemon cream, which was the only dish I managed to photograph… the rest were gone in a flash!
Prices are absolutely fair for the quality you get.
The location is charming, slightly off the main historic center, which makes it a lot quieter and more relaxing.
Approved by Italians — and we’re quite picky when it comes to food!

Max Peters★★★★★
The waitress was highly professional and genuinely helpful in guiding me toward the right cut of meat. I chose a 200g strip loin from Portugal, beautifully marbled and full of flavor. It was cooked exactly to my preference—tender, juicy, and perfectly done. I also appreciated that they offer to cook it a bit further if needed, which shows real attention to customer satisfaction.
The sides were more on the simple side—homemade French fries, along with a few slices of bell pepper and zucchini. While everything tasted good, the presentation felt slightly minimal and could be more refined.
Overall, the food was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place. The total came to around €35 with a drink, which is on the higher side, but the quality of the meat makes it worthwhile.
Kate Warren★★★★★
We had an amazing experience, thanks especially to Alex, who taught us so much and guided us through their unique and varied steak options, one of the most extensive we’ve seen anywhere. We learned so much in addition to identifying the perfect steak for everyone in our party. The food and service were top notch, truly a highlight of our stay in Gran Canaria. (And for those who don’t eat red meat, the pulpo was excellent!)
Marika Vehovuori★★★★★
Lovely service with excellent product knowledge. We were offered to choose our own steak from several options after the waiter carefully introduced each one. We chose the Japanese Wagyu, and it was truly the best steak we’ve ever had.
Highly recommend this place for an outstanding dinner experience.
Stijn Versteeg★★★★★
Best steak experience ever! Super nice staff, who took a lot of time to explain everything and make this a wonderful experience. We’ll be back for the ox! ❤️

Unbelievable steak, something Portuguese but let yourself be guided by their suggestions. The people working there really know their stuff and it was a pleasure to listen to their expertise.
The room is small but cozy and the tables are well separated, make sure you reserve or you may not have space at any time.
Not the cheapest place but worth it if you can afford it.

An amazing experience, delicious food, amazing waiter. It's run by the one waiter and his wife, and he's incredibly attentive and personable. There's only room for about 16 people inside, but that's what gives it its charm. The beef is as delicious as expected, and the tomato sauce is the secret star of the show.
I don't consider almost any restaurant service to be "exceptional" (often it's good but otherwise unremarkable), but this guy was truly exceptional. Will gladly return.
As a bonus, he was initially full, but recommended us an alternative restaurant (we decided to wait it out, initially sat at 2 tables, but then combined to the bigger table when that table left; our two small tables were also immediately reoccupied). He was so kind and helpful even when we weren't going to be giving him business, such a class act. The aubergine/eggplant starter was delicious and is also highly recommended.
Tianxing LE★★★★★
Lovely small Argentinian spot with great vibes. The restaurant is quite small, so we timed our visit carefully — definitely worth it.
The owner was extremely kind and seated us at a corner table, even setting up a wind shield for us as it was quite windy that day. Really thoughtful.
The sausages were great, and the steak he recommended (their house specialty) was excellent — perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
Service was the highlight. Warm, patient, and genuinely welcoming. We even had a fun chat about football. Funny moment: he asked why China isn’t in the World Cup 😂
Great food, great service, great host. Would definitely come back next time on the island.

Small place with a big personality. Everything was special. The welcome from the owner and recommendation was great. Amazing food, delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

Had one of the best steaks for a very good price in a cozy small setting. You can catch a glimpse of the kitchen and the grilling taking place, and the server is more than happy to passionately yell you about the flavours and his recommendations. Truly a gem!

Wonderful! Enjoy the atmosphere and the food in the restaurant! Absolutely gorgeous! I was lucky that I went there a bit earlier, even though I didn’t reserve a table they still got one for me! I had a wonderful experience here last night. The food was exceptional, full of flavor and clearly prepared with care, and the atmosphere couldn't have been better (very warm, relaxed, and inviting).
It's also an ideal place for a special date, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and spend quality time together in a pleasant setting. I was lucky enough to share it with my favorite date 😊
The service was outstanding: friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. 10/10 service. I definitely want to return. Quite excepcional!

Fantastic spot for authentic Spanish food done right. We shared jamón ibérico and a selection of local cheeses, all of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Simple flavors, top-notch ingredients, and no unnecessary fuss.
The atmosphere is warm, lively, and very local — a classic Spanish taberna where you instantly feel welcome. Service was friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive.
Perfect for sharing plates, enjoying good wine, and experiencing a true local favorite in Las Palmas. Highly recommended.

グーリンダイのポンポコピー★★★★★
Visited on a Monday around 5 pm without a reservation (we’re a Japanese family of four ppl).
Luckily, since it was still early, we were able to get a table.
First of all, the waiter’s service was excellent.
He paid close attention to every table and always served with a smile.
At a new restaurant I usually go with the staff’s wine recommendation, and his choice was both reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!
The food quality was outstanding—everything we tried was delicious.
But the Pulpo a la plancha was especially impressive: perfectly smoky, tender, and balanced beautifully with the sauce. We even ordered a second one.
Here’s what we had:
• Javier Sanz 2023
• Ostatu Crianza 2022
• Ensaladilla del mar
• Croquetas caseras
• Papas bravas
• Pulpo a la plancha
• Lomo de vaca madurado
• Filete de cordero (grilled lamb, I don’t recall the exact name)
• Tocinillo
• Polvito
The dishes came out very quickly after ordering, which showed how skilled the kitchen team is.
This was our very first dinner out during our first family trip to Gran Canaria, and it turned out to be an experience far beyond expectations.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the restaurant.
Arigato😍 (Muchas gracias!)

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! We tried the beef carpaccio, breaded mushrooms stuffed with prawn cream, salmon tartar, and beef tenderloin with truffle sauce, every single dish was incredibly delicious and beautifully prepared. For dessert, the “Polvito Uruguayo” was the perfect sweet ending.
The staff were very kind, attentive, and generous, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively, cosy, and authentic, exactly what you hope for when dining out in Gran Canaria.
Highly recommended:)

The best local Spanish restaurant, I could experienced here in the Las Palmas. The food and atmosphere is amazing, same as the service. If you ever visit Las Palmas, you really got to take your time and visit this place for a dinner. It is quite full in a couple of minute after opening, so rather call for a table reservation in advance.🤩

A fantastic place! Even if we did not have a reservation, they put us on a waiting list and when we eventually got in, we didn't want to leave again. The food is incredible, really interesting and flavourful local cuisine that is just simply delicious! The staff is nice and the atmosphere is great!

Lovely place! Great, tasty food, quick service, fair prices. The at atmosphere reminds you of a Tapas Bar in Madrid. It it's quite small and gets full quickly. They also don't work with reservations so you either need to be lucky or wait or come early / late. When I arrived at 10, there was 2 free tables. I will be definitely coming back!

Very nice I had the hot chocolate and the egg brioche both were excellently made and excellently plated. Although it was on the pricier side.

Rarely do you stumble upon a locale as breathtaking as this—a harmonious fusion of antiquity and modernity, exuding an imperfectly perfect aesthetic that venerates the passage of time through exposed walls and weathered wood.
Transported to an era of yore, the serene ambiance only amplifies the sense of tranquility. The culinary offerings delighted our palates, and every facet of this establishment, from the warmly attentive staff to the delectable cuisine, has left an indelible mark.
Eagerly anticipating our return, this enchanting place has become my newfound sanctuary.
Luc Monteilhet★★★★★
Very nice place. Protected from the street noise. Interior plants make the place very cosy. The restaurant aspires to be a high-end, tables with cloth runners, waiters in suits. The bread for the entry was freshly baked, but a bit dry. The cheese spread was great. The calmar with mojo and goat stew were top class. The rabbit was great too, the salad with langoustine we liked the least, there was a sort of medicine taste in the shrimps. The sizes were generous. Almendrado and black chocolate wrapped in thin crisp were delicious! The Canarian wine was great with some taste of muscat. Service was pleasant, though some dishes were served to the wrong people in our group. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Excellent food. The pulpo Gallego (octopus on boiled potato) was delicious- fresh and tender. We had the rodaballo (turbot) oven cooked, with vegetables, which was very good, and a generous portion. Friendly service, and the chef/patron/dueño came to see how we liked our meal. This place has a relaxed family feel. Highly recommended.

Wonderful restaurant with fantastic food. Service was great despite us speaking little Spanish. Would really recommend the garlic prawns to start - all food was 10/10.

If you’re coming to this island and you want to know what a real traditional Spanish restaurant serves then this is the one. It has classic Spanish food in a more modern style with quality produce . The red wines follow this formate with classic Rioja from newer vineyards. It may be hidden away but aren’t most of the best. Not busy enough when it is so good.

Amazing sizzling garlic prawns starter. Monkfish Marinara dissapointing & slighly underwhelming as recommended. Dry & tasteless. Sirloin steak nice, dessert nice. Staff friendly.

A great find among many mediocre places. You should try everything – the meat is simply outstanding. For dessert, I highly recommend the Irish coffee, one of the best-prepared I’ve ever tasted in the world.

A really nice steak house in and a very comfortable environment. The service is second to none (5 star service). The drinks are good as well. I had the mushroom appetizer and the Angus burger. The mushrooms were fantastic. The buger was only okay. The meat was juicy but it was lacking in flavor.

Great Argentinian steak house. The grilled provoletta was delicious and with good crust. Rib eye was tender, juicy and yummy. Good Malbec wine to complete the Argentinian experience. Service was very warm and welcoming. Deducted a star because we sat at a table where silverware was LOUDLY being tossed around behind a thin partition for the first 20 minutes of our meal and then again for the last 20 minutes. It was like forks were being thrown against each other so loudly at times we couldn’t talk and it went on and on and on (even recoded the clanging in the attached video). Hopefully the management can address this because it is not pleasant. Otherwise, terrific meal!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Everything was immaculate from the service to the food. I was welcomed by every waiter that saw me, greeted with a smile and eager to serve attitude. The owner himself was in the restaurant with a chipper demeanour and offered a very warm welcome, allowing me to sit wherever I liked. The waiter explained the specials in his best English for my comfort and the steak was mouth-wateringly fresh, succulent and perfectly cooked. Seared to perfection with a velvety, savoury sauce and accompanied by a perfect butter and crispy yet tender potatoes. I told the waiter the food was magnificent and he told me it was made with love with a beaming smile- I could taste it! By far the BEST meal I had on the entire island, not to mention unbeatable service, I can't wait to visit again!

It was a nice dinner in general. The restaurant was suggested by the hotel's Front Office. We also passed by multiple times and we saw that it was pretty busy every time. We made a reservation the day before. All the dishes were tasty, we wanted to taste some local dishes. The octopus was indeed the best octopus we ever tried, it was perfectly cooked and is highly recommended. The service was okay, but nobody could communicate properly in English, so this made everything a little bit difficult. The dessert was the weakest dish, we found it too liquid. Clean and tidy inside, cutlery and plates well cleaned as well and great quality salt and pepper (after request). If you are in the area, give it a try.

This restaurant is very charming with its aesthetics and good food options. However, the issue lies on the service. We were a group of 10 with table reservations. We arrived and were seated and ignored for about 25 minutes. Finally once the waiter came he didn’t introduce himself, or ask us if we had been there or go over specials. I asked if they had a kids menu and he said no and gave some options of food that I didn’t understand. When I asked for clarification he seemed bothered. I asked do you make margaritas and his response se was if it’s in the menu we make it. I again asked yes but what margaritas do you make and he responded to look on the menu and he would be back in two minutes. At this point I was very upset at his lack of hospitality. Unfortunately in Europe a lot of waiters act like this since they don’t think you will tip them as that is not the norm there. However we always tip and are use to good hospitality and were shocked on how rude this man was. I asked for the manager and a diffeeent waiter. When I was telling the manager that hat occurred he began to argue with me again, which at this point I told the manager we would leave if he didn’t change the waiter. He gave me another waiter Colombian older man who was very nice. However, no other service recovery was provided. This restaurant can be great if they focus a little bit more on service and hospitality. Hope this helps others. Adding picture of bill so you get idea of prices. It’s by no means a cheap restaurant. Also the last two items they charged me we didn’t even order. Make sure to check your bill before paying as this happened frequently in Spain and Portugal in which they add extra stuff.

I decided to have dinner at Made Del Amor Hermoso and am glad I went! I had their coquina clams, some bread on the side and ice cream for desert.
Everyone from the staff was super nice and attentive, the service was quick but didn‘t feel rushed. The vibe there feels relaxed, (I really like the interior!) the music was nice (though I guess that’s very subjective) and the view is nice when you sit either outside or close to the entrance. I was able to look at the ocean from my seat inside! Overall, the whole concept of this place seems well thought - and carried - out.
The clams were tasty, as was the warm bread and dip that came with it.
The mango ice cream tasted like mango nectar from Gina (the blue can) - which I loved! 😍 The vanilla ice cream tasted different from how I know it but in no way worse!
Overall, I had a great time there and can only recommend!

lovely restaurant with good views in las palmas las canteras promenade. such nice outdoor seating and a large area inside with plenty of seats. i opted for the squid which was tasty but i felt it could do with a dip and was slightly overpriced but then again its going to be fresh from the sea and it also came with chips which i wasnt aware of so that makes the price more reasonable!

During our holiday at 1st january 2026 we enjoyed at Tabla Caliente with delicious food and very friendly and professional employees and a nice eating room. The flamed peppersteak was very delicious and the roasted chicken was really nice! To eat here we recommend to reserve a place otherwhise great chance that they will say no, and that is also because you will get all the attention (if you ask for) needed regarding the food. The price and quality is perfect. I told them that i would give them a 5 star review because this is how a restaurant should be! Proficiat and delicious!

We have been to the restaurant "Tabla Caliente" for the first time. After trying some restaurants in Las Palmas this was a recommendation by a friend. And man, did he recommend right!
We arrived and came to a small and cozy restaurant in a small side street not far away from playa de las canteras. A warm welcome by the owner Maria, we chose out of a good winecard a very good verdejo. Maria, she speaks many languages including German, then told us about the dishes of the day. We chose solomillo with truffle sauce, tournedos flambée and two starters - seafood soup and thuna carpaccio.
And I can say that the food was on point and really excellent. Maria and her crew really know how to cook! Bravo!
It's a real recommendation when you're in Las Palmas - excellent quality and cooking of the food, reasonable prices and a charming staff.

Fabulous restaurant with great staff. Food was delicious and best steak in this area. Highly recommended. Desserts a treat and staff couldn't do enough for us. Very enjoyable and lovely quiet and easy going evening out. Excellent we will be back again.

After eating one evening at a tourist trap on the promenade, we decided to follow rating scores (4.8 is impressive!), especially since we had accommodation right near the restaurant. We made a reservation on the same day and had a fabulous meal. I had the tequila flambé steak (yes, the sauce is spicy, so you need to like spicy food, no joke); my husband had the house’s steak. Both excellent choices and we will go there again. Plus a good red wine.

Was made to feel very welcome by Maria. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection. Served with garlic potatoes and a beautiful Rioja, a really excellent meal. A lovely local restaurant. Friendly, inexpensive and well worth a visit. A great experience

We ate twice here and had a wonderful time. Shoutout to Straho for his great service.
Seafood tapas plate for 50 euros was great, fresh and nice variety. We've also had a whole rabbit roast here, 10/10. You have to order it in advance though, but it is a great value for money, because you can easily feed 3 or 4 ppl with one 38 or 39 euros dish. They also offered nice complimentary desserts / shots. Would definitely recommend, but better book a place in advance.

We chose this restaurant for our last dinner before leaving, especially after reading so many positive reviews.
From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome.
Although there were no tables available outside at first, they seated us inside and, as soon as one became free, kindly asked if we’d like to move outdoors.
We ordered a paella that was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, with fresh and flavorful seafood.
A must-try is the crema catalana, caramelized right at the table by our waitress — a lovely touch!
To finish, we were treated to complimentary ice cream and liqueurs from the house.
A wonderful dining experience and the perfect way to say goodbye to Gran Canaria.
Ah!! And the position?! Absolutely 10/10!! 🤩

A casual menu with classic Canary Islands dishes and plenty of shareable options. Tasty and comforting, though a bit heavy on fried food

The tapas place is one of the best ones we’ve had in Gran Canaria. Every dish was amazing and fairly-priced, cheaper than the restaurants by the sea and tastes better and more local. The wine was also great. We recommend the octopus and potato.
Service was quicks and friendly, and interior decor was intimate and cozy.

It was a really nice restaurant to stopby for some tapas and glass of a wine. The traffic there is quite big, sometimes You need to wait for a table, but people are changing tables quite quickly. The food was cery good, we enjoyed it, portions were quite big.
We really enjoyed the place, recommend.

I will start with the positive aspects. Overall, the food was flavorful. The goat meat as well as the ropa vieja had an incredible taste. The papas arugadas that came with the meat were great, too.
However, we found the huevos rotos to be very much underwhelming. The ropa vieja, while excellent in taste, arrived cold. We also found the polvito uruguayo to be average, we've had much better ones
Ewa Purzycka★★★★☆
Greate atmosphere, nice place to eat. The food was really good, I gave only 4 because there is always room for improvements when it comes to food. The Canadian potatoes were brilliant. In our opinion, when we get calmari and fridge pork, the chips are not needed.
Tips for Dining Out in Las Palmas
Navigating the dining scene in a new city can be tricky, especially when local customs differ from your own. Understanding the rhythm of the day and the local etiquette will significantly enhance your experience. Here are a few practical tips to help you eat like a local and make the most of your culinary budget.
First, adjust your meal times to match the Spanish clock. Lunch is typically served between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM, while dinner rarely starts before 8:30 PM. If you arrive at a restaurant at 6:00 PM, you will likely find the kitchen closed. If you get hungry in the late afternoon, look for a cafeteria offering bocadillos (sandwiches) or tapas to tide you over until dinner.
Second, do not skip the "menu del día." Offered at lunchtime on weekdays, this fixed-price menu usually includes a starter, a main course, a drink, and dessert or coffee. It is by far the most economical way to enjoy high-quality, home-style cooking. You will often find local workers eating here, which is always a sign of good value and authentic food.
Third, embrace the local produce and fish. While you can find imported steaks, the real magic lies in the local Atlantic catch, such as vieja (parrotfish) or cherne (wreckfish). For appetizers, look for Queso de Flor de Guía, a unique cheese made with vegetable rennet, or almogrote, a spicy cheese paste from the neighboring island of La Gomera.
Fourth, remember that tipping is not mandatory but is appreciated. In Spain, service is usually included in the price. However, leaving a few coins or up to 5-10% of the bill for exceptional service is a kind gesture. You can simply leave the change on the table or say "quédese con el cambio" (keep the change).
Finally, always book ahead for dinner, especially on weekends. The best restaurants in Las Palmas are popular with locals, and tables fill up fast after 9:00 PM. A quick phone call or a reservation via an app can save you from a long wait or disappointment.
The food scene in Las Palmas is more than just sustenance; it is a celebration of island life. Every dish tells a story of the sea, the volcanic earth, and the people who have called this port home. Taking the time to dine slowly and appreciate these flavors will undoubtedly be a highlight of your trip.
So, pull up a chair, order a glass of crisp local white wine, and let the city surprise you. From the first bite of grilled fish to the last spoonful of bienmesabe, you are in for a treat.
