12 Best Hotels in Seville Near the Historic Centre

Staying in the heart of Seville means waking up to the sound of church bells, stepping outside to the scent of orange blossoms, and having the Giralda tower just a short stroll from your door. The historic centre—known locally as the Casco Antiguo—is a labyrinth of narrow cobbled lanes, hidden plazas, and centuries-old palaces converted into boutique accommodations. Choosing the right hotel here isn’t just about finding a bed; it’s about curating your experience of one of Spain’s most romantic and walkable cities.

The area surrounding the Cathedral, the Real Alcázar, and the winding streets of Barrio Santa Cruz offers the highest concentration of atmospheric places to stay. However, the definition of the "historic centre" can stretch from the riverside Triana border across to the trendy Alfalfa district and up towards the Setas de Sevilla. Each micro-neighborhood has a distinct character, ranging from bustling and tourist-heavy to quiet and residential.

When evaluating the best hotels in this zone, location is paramount, but so is the balance between historical charm and modern comfort. Many of these properties are housed in former mansions or convents, meaning no two rooms are exactly alike. You might trade a sprawling lobby for a breathtaking interior courtyard, or a modern elevator for original Mudéjar ceiling details.

For travellers, the benefit of staying centrally is the ability to return to your room for a midday siesta during the intense Andalusian heat. You can drop off shopping bags, freshen up before a late-night flamenco show, or simply escape the crowds for an hour without losing time to taxis or public transport. This proximity allows you to experience the city like a local, moving at the slower, more deliberate pace that defines Sevillian life.

Accessibility is another critical factor. While the historic centre is largely pedestrianized, many hotels offer private transfer access or are located near taxi drop-off points such as the Puerta de Jerez or Plaza Nueva. Understanding how you will arrive and depart is just as important as the thread count of the sheets, especially if you are traveling with heavy luggage over cobblestones.

Service quality in Seville’s old town hotels tends to be highly personal. Many are family-run or small luxury groups that pride themselves on bespoke recommendations—whether that is securing a hard-to-get table at a tapas bar or arranging a private guide for the Alcázar. The best properties treat their guests not as tourists but as temporary residents of the neighbourhood.

Below, we have curated a list of the twelve best hotels that perfectly capture the essence of staying in Seville’s historic heart. Whether you are looking for a lavish palace experience, a romantic hideaway, or a stylish design hotel, these options offer the best base for exploring the Andalusian capital.

Haven't stayed here yet. Will do in a couple of weeks. But I know John Fulton was a dear friend of mine, so I KNOW it's an awesome place. Have been here MANY MANY times during the 80's and 90's when it was his art studio. Can't wait to stay there.

Nice small basic room at modest price. Great location! Staff very helpful, comfortable speaking English. Great view from rooftop breakfast location.

Due to a technical issue with booking app, a double reservation for different hotels was made. This is not the hotel's fault of course, but as soon as we reached out to them to explain what happened, they declined refunding the money. This was a reservation made on midnight for the following day as in there was less than a few hours between making the reservation, and letting them know of the error. They of course didn't care and absolutely declined to refund it. It's a really bad indication when a hotel chooses to treat errors as an opportunity to grab money...and really for a one night stay booked at the last minute. It's not like the hotel had to decline so many other potential guests. What a shame. I could have chosen this hotel when I return to Seville for a longer stay, had they been more courtieus and decent!

Lovely hotel & very accommodating staff. Special thanks to Carlos ☺️. Best part is the terrace with stunning views of the cathedral ⛪. Will definitely be back here when I visit Seville 🇪🇸

It was an unforgettable experience for me. Definitely not every hotel can give back this feeling. Opening the balcony door to the morning dew that comes in from the orange tree right in front of the balcony. Simply magical

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel last month. It is a cute hotel with a lovely interior. The interior is elegant yet cosy with beautiful paintings and a lovely waiting area. A special thanks to Elisa who helped me and made the checking in and checking out process smooth. She was very helpful with guiding me about taxis and nearby locations, additionally she kindly helped me with my luggage also. I would love to return one day and stay here. Thank you!

This is the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are not soundproof so till 1 o'clock in the morning you hear the doors opening and closing and some slamming. Then again in the morning, so sleeping in is totally out of the question! The rooms need to be updated. The bathroom is very tiny that you can wash your hands and go to toilet at the same time. There's no counter space in bathroom and not proper lighting and the tub you have to be very careful. You might kill yourself. The beds need to be burned and the pillows. I always travel with my own pillow. There is no room service, but they say there's a restaurant that they can order food for you and have it delivered to the room in 30 minutes, so not true it took almost an hour, and it was very cold and if your room is in the courtyard area, you're taking a big chance of loud people out in the courtyard area totally do not recommend this Hotel and I will never stay here again! I don't know how this is a 4 star/sun Hotel. I stayed for four days and I couldn't wait to go home! The staff is kind and polite. That's the only thing good and of course it's has a cute lobby and cute courtyard. Apparently no one's really checking the rooms out cause I still don't get how this is a four star hotel I was excited to get here and just dealt with it, but I've traveled the world and stated a lot of hotels. This is definitely one that I would not recommend and I don't know how they get any stars I would give this a zero star hotel.

I never got to stay here, but I want to share how the cancellation was handled. I had surgery on 4 August and my surgeon certified I couldn’t travel until 20 September. I sent the report through Hotels.com well before my 22 August booking. The property’s answer, relayed to me twice, was that they couldn’t review “a reduction of the cost” while the booking was still active, and asked me to cancel it first. I did, nine days before check-in, in peak August, so the room could easily be resold. Once it was cancelled, they refused any refund at all. Not a partial one, not a credit, nothing. For comparison: my hotel in Madrid, booked for the same trip, read the same certificate and refunded me without any argument. That’s the difference I’d want a future guest to know about. Asking someone to release the room first and then declining to offer anything isn’t something I’d expect from a place I’d chosen to stay at. The rooms may well be fine. I never found out.

Well established in the historical center of Seville, it offers the opportunity to walk around the city easily. Good breakfast. Visited the place in the last October. The neighborhood is quiet and this can be pretty dangerous if you are walking out at late night. I was attacked and robbed while I was returning to the hotel after 1:30 am in the last of four nights staying, about 40m away from the hotel. Very good place to stay in Seville but you have be careful at night.

Location - close to city center. Durning a booking ask for room without window pointed to street. Sound isolation is poor and the noise from city is annoying. Make sure AC in room is working, my did not but I have noticed it in the middle of the night. Patio and corridors are cosy and nice but I would expect more from 4 star hotel.

Oh, wow! Such a hospitality never seen in my life! Extremely helpful staff, good English speaking, old school building with a fresh look in a very good way. Very clean room, generous bathroom, free wifi. Towels changed every day, room cleaning without asking, I felt like a king.

We had an amazing stay, the hotel is very beautiful and the service was amazing. We had a dirty towel but other than that we had no issues. The room had everything we needed and even had AC. Would 100% stay again!

Superb hotel. Tucked away in the Jewish quarter. Very close to the cathedral and Alcazar. Friendly staff. Facilities were good too. Nice sitting area to chill out in. Room was cleaned every day. Good recommendation from Tali for the superb flamenco show we saw. Traditional Andalusian building.

Thank you for a marvellous stay in your beautiful place. Thank you for the genuine kindness of the members of staff who were all truly attentive for anything we may need. A special thanks to Cristina, guest experience, for her incredible welcome on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. We keep a truly fond memory of each moment in Sevilla, thanks to you

You feel like you are stepping back in time to the days of real luxury as soon as you enter the entrance lounge. We had 3 nights here and enjoyed the lounges, the room with mezzanine bedroom and the courtyard breakfast. We booked the Essence Experience, which gives you access to a separate lounge area outside your room that has complimentary snacks (cheese, savory and sweet), drinks (beer, wine & juice) and coffee. It is a great place to relax in the late afternoon when you want to get out of the heat. Our room had a sofa and chairs, plus an outside terrace that was always sheltered from the full sun. We opted for the breakfast in the package, and it is well worth it. They have a large buffet with all styles of food. You are spoilt for choice, and the best part is that you sit in a courtyard in the cool morning area. The hotel is in a quiet street but is only 5-10 mins from the cathedral or the canal area. Such a great location. We had evening drinks on the terrace, where you get excellent views of the cathedral. I was recommended this hotel by a colleague and now I see why he always stays here. It is not your plain business hotel but a bit of luxurious history.

From the moment we entered the hotel reception, we were warmly greeted at the reception with smiles and enthusiasm to make your stay at this hotel truly special. This treatment continued from all the members of staff during our 4 nights stay. The decor is fantastic and cozy. The amenities are luxurious. Everything is spotlessly clean and the rooms are serviced daily to the same standards. Location is perfect for exploring the monuments and old town Seville. Everything is within a short walk away in a safe and clean part of the city. The roof top restaurant/bar offers excellent views of the Giralda. Highly recommend staying at this hotel where each room is different.
becky cheng★★★☆☆
The room was smaller than the photo on website. The reception staffs were very friendly, the room was also clean, the location was perfect, the view from rooftop was stunning. The only issue was that we stayed on fourth floor, and fifth floor is the terrace restaurant opening for both dinner and breakfast. The night before, you can hear the chair moving till midnight, and next day from 8 am, the noise starts again. You won’t hear music or people talking, but the tables and chairs moving around. Other floors would be a better option.

Impeccably run and beautifully positioned. Room 1308 was spotless, modern, and quiet, with a firm bed. The panoramic city views and a relaxed atmosphere are perfect after a day in Sevilla. Location is ideal for walking to major sights while still feeling calm and residential. A reliable, refined stay every minute.
Mark Hallander★★★★★
We had a truly wonderful stay. The facilities are outstanding – from the rooftop pool and the restaurant with a stunning view, to the well-equipped fitness area. The breakfast offers a great variety, and overall the food quality is excellent. What really stood out, though, was the level of service. The staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on making your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is also perfect – everything is within easy walking distance, which makes exploring the city effortless. And then there are the small details that truly elevate the experience: The pleasant scent throughout the hotel, the thoughtful amenities like toothpaste, combs, and shoehorns, and a general sense of flexibility and care in every interaction. Small touches that turn a great stay into a memorable one. We would absolutely come back.

We travel frequently to Seville and, after trying several accommodation options over the years, we believe we have finally found the ideal hotel. From the moment of check-in, the experience was exceptional. The staff were warm, welcoming, professional, and extremely accommodating throughout our stay. The room was spacious, well arranged, and impeccably clean, with spotless linen and towels as well as a very clean bathroom. We also appreciated the pleasant view from the window, which added to the comfort of the stay. While the hotel may not be categorized as luxury accommodation, every aspect of it was comfortable, well maintained, and thoughtfully presented. The front desk team deserves special recognition for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the overall team spirit at Hotel Sevilla Center was truly outstanding. Breakfast also exceeded our expectations in both quality and variety. Overall, this hotel provided an excellent experience, and we would gladly stay there again on future visits to Seville.

We stayed at the Seville Centre Hotel for three days and were very pleased with our experience. Patricia greeted us with a warm smile and was extremely friendly and courteous. We requested a quiet room on the top floor, and Patricia kindly arranged that for us. Our room was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a kettle and a grooming kit. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of hot and cold dishes for just 16 euros. We receive a complimentary a bottle of bubbling! It was very nice touch, thank you. The hotel also features a lovely swimming pool on the third floor in an open area, along with a fantastic restaurant on the top floor. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Seville Centre Hotel and would gladly recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you, Patricia, for your kindness and professionalism.

We had an excellent stay at Adriano Hotel! Everything was super clean, the towels were fluffy and changed every day, the mattress was very comfortable. The mini fridge was stocked, and they even had a hair straightener in the bathroom! The TV had a great size too. The attention to detail from the staff was incredible. The location was perfect, super central and a short walk away from the main attractions and amazing restaurants and bars. Overall 10/10 experience and service, if I ever revisit Seville, I will definitely stay there again!

This was a lovely charming hotel perfectly located close to all the biggest and best attractions in Seville, the staff were very nice during our check-in and we got a complimentary bottle of champagne on our first night. I also came back to find a slice of cake in my room on a lovely slate dish for my birthday which was a lovely surprise showing the care this hotel has for the guests. The room was lovely with a very comfortable good sized bed with a little balconet. I will be returning to the hotel when I come back to Seville👍🏻🇪🇸

Hotel Adriano was a fantastic stay and truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. As a thoughtful gesture, they provided complimentary drinks and even included breakfast, which was a great touch. We were also got a room with a courtyard view, which made the experience even more special—quiet, charming, and very relaxing. A special mention goes to the team at the cafeteria next to the lobby. Their service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They really elevated our mornings and made us feel at home. Overall, a great experience driven by exceptional hospitality. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Adriano. The front desk staff were exceptional. Especially Ana. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast buy was also amazing and once again excellent service. The location is ideal as it’s close to many attractions and excellent restaurants.

I'm so impressed by this little hotel. I can't help but feel that Adriano really cares about quality, which feels so rare in 2026. It's a 3 star hotel with service that far exceeds nearly every 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in. The location is perfect, breakfast is adorable and lovely with great views. It's just a really lovely place to enjoy a lovely city.

Having travelled extensively over the years, I can honestly say this ranks among the very best hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms were exceptionally spacious, beautifully presented and extremely comfortable, with all the modern facilities you could need. The hotel itself is equally impressive, with excellent amenities throughout. The rooftop pool and terrace were a real highlight and a wonderful place to relax after a day exploring the city. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a fantastic selection of hot and cold options. It offered tremendous value and was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've experienced. The service was outstanding. Every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and professional, making us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. A special mention must go to Patricia, the concierge, whose warmth and hospitality help make our visit even more memorable. The location is also perfect, tucked away on a quiet street, yet only a short walk from Seville's main attractions, restaurants, bars and shopping areas. It provided the ideal balance of being peaceful while still being right in the heart of the city. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Hotel Posada del Lucero to anyone visiting Seville.

Five stars for Hotel Posada del Lucero! Such a chic, lovely hotel with gorgeous rooms. Seville gets hot, so having the pool to dip into after a day of sightseeing was ideal, even if it’s compact. The staff could not have been more helpful—they truly go the extra mile. They even surprised us with a plate of fruit in our room as a thank-you gesture, which was so thoughtful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

glorious hotel, friendly helpful staff from reception to bar staff and cleaners. Anna made the best espresso martinis ever. Hotel was exceptionally clean and in a perfect location for wandering the city. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our break and i would definitely highly recommend.

This hotel was received by a friend who had recently stayed and it did not disappoint. We went to Seville for my birthday celebration and were very touched by kind gesture of sparkling wine being left in our room. The hotel is absolutely spotless and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Great location to all attractions and close to the airport too. Seville is a beautiful city and we would highly recommend this fabulous hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable 💕.
Helia Moradi★★★★★
One of the best 4-star hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Honestly, if the hotel had a bigger pool and a larger gym, it could easily be a 5-star property. The location is 10/10. We were able to walk everywhere, and everything you might need is close to the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, the entire hotel smelled amazing, and since it was our anniversary they surprised us with a beautiful fruit plate in the room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel is very clean, very quiet, and perfect for a stay in the heart of Seville. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Our room overlooked a lovely street lined with Tapas bars and bodegas. Buskers frequently work in the street and the music drifts up which was lovely. Can be a little noisy if you're a light sleeper but it's usually quiet around 11pm. It's literally right on the square of the cathedral and Giralda Tower. Could not fault the place, friendly and helpful staff, great room and comfy beds. Highly recommend.

We wished to have a cafe on the roof bar to see the Cathedral from up there. We were not aware the bar opened at 1pm and we were there at 12.45 or something. Eventhough the waiter already had a bad attitude, i asked him kindly in my best Spanish if we could wait right there these few minutes, enjoying the vista. His reaction was as if i had asked him to cut off his hand. He behaved with an ugly attitude and should find himself a job outside of the service industry. The building inside lookes amazing. We were not staying in the hotel, this review is just about the horrible service in the roof bar of this hotel.

I had a very good experience. Rooms are clean and though they are not huge there was enough space for two persons to stay comfortably. The location is quite perfect: basically walking distance to everything (attractions, restaurants, bars), but still very quite and the area is super safe. I loved the terrace on the fourth floor. Depending on the season, price in not super cheap, but for comfort is a good trade-off. Last but not least the staff (Armine particularly) was perfect, very kind, clear and helpful.

A truly disgusting hotel. The rooms look nothing like the photos, and the description is completely misleading. There is no reception or staff on site. The place is very dark and scary run-down, and we didn’t feel safe at all. The rooms smelled strongly of chemicals, bedding not fresh. The window faced another room, so you could hear everything from neighboring rooms, along with constant noise from the air conditioners. Sleeping was impossible. room so small not possible to move - way overpriced!! The worst part, however, was the owners’ behavior. They refused to communicate or help when any issues were raised. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Instead of two beds, you are given one very small 120 x 190 cm bed. We ended up moving to another hotel, and the owner refused to communicate with us and to provide a refund. We have filed a complaint with the Arbitraje de Consumo. Avoid this dump! total scam

Hotel Plaza is in an awesome location--super easy to walk just about anywhere in town! Our bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and we had a really cool, huge balcony. Our location didn't really have a view, but there were definitely some that did and if you happen to land one of those it would be extra awesome! Even though the hotel is in a central location, it was really quiet--they were actually doing REALLY loud construction on the street just below our balcony, and we literally didn't hear a thing and were able to sleep late every day! It's not the most luxurious spot, which is the tradeoff for it being really affordable, and for us as budget travelers, it's absolutely perfect! The staff were only on hand for a few hours each day, but were extremely helpful when they were there. Instead of a key, you're given a code to enter the hotel and another for your room, which is really handy--nothing to lose, and you can check in after hours easily! We did have to call ahead to get our codes sent via text, since we were checking in late, but it was still super easy! We called during their office hours on the same day as our check-in, I'm not sure whether calling after hours works, so might be best to plan on that if you're arriving late!
Margaret★★★★☆
Very centrally situated for bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Check in was self service, very comprehensive details sent in advance and easy to understand. Room itself was small but clean. Housekeeping was every day. Aircon was amazing. Bathroom was very small and shower cubicle was tiny. However it served its' purpose. No tea/coffee facilities however there were enough cafes, bars, etc in the immediate vicinity. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay there again.
Amy Stewart★★★☆☆
Great location but a basic room. Honestly the room was pretty much fine but I did see a few silverfish - probably down to the lack of ventilation from the bathroom. It’s not exactly what you want to see in your hotel room. There’s not really any staff onsite so no one to go to if you need help or have questions. It’s better suited to younger or more experienced travellers in my opinion- there’s not much help or accessibility if this is something you think you’ll need!

I had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The hotel itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. All of the main attractions are within walking distance, and there are countless restaurants and bars nearby, while other areas of Seville can easily be reached on foot within 20 minutes. I treated myself to a room with a balcony and it was one of the highlights of my stay. I enjoyed breakfast there every morning, which was made even better by the fact that guests who have breakfast included can take it to their room rather than having to sit in the cafeteria. Another lovely touch was the complimentary afternoon tea served each day between around 4pm and 6pm. Guests could enjoy sandwiches, cakes and drinks free of charge, which was such a thoughtful addition. The rooftop views are stunning, with beautiful views of the Cathedral and La Giralda – a wonderful place to relax after a day of exploring. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Every member of the front-of-house team I encountered was welcoming, kind, cheerful and always happy to answer questions or help in any way they could. Their warmth and professionalism made me feel genuinely looked after. A beautiful hotel in a perfect location with exceptional staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend it.

What a great hotel in a perfect location! I would stay here again and again. The location perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have water available in the heat, which we found not all Spain hotels offer. Our room was beautiful, I just wish we could have figured out how to work the thermostat, as it was very cold. We used the robes as an extra layer for sleeping, and appreciated those and the slippers very much. This was our first Spanish hotel, and we stayed in three more this trip in other cities, and this was far and away the best stay we had. It's the only one I would return to. So easy to walk almost anywhere, but a quick taxi ride was available in moments for those longer distances. Great food steps away. Incredible in every way. Thanks to everyone!

Casa 1800 began charming us before we had even arrived. A room upgrade, a free airport transfer, and a welcoming bottle of champagne suggested that these people understood the finer points of hospitality. Our room was beautiful, and the private hot tub overlooking La Giralda became one of those small luxuries that quickly feels indispensable after a day wandering Sevilla's streets. The rooftop pool provided a similarly civilised refuge above the city. The location could hardly be better. Step outside and Sevilla unfolds before you. Indeed, the liveliest tapas bar we encountered during our stay sat on the hotel's doorstep. It was perpetually busy, filled with locals and visitors alike. We sampled numerous establishments across the city, yet somehow found ourselves returning here time and time again. The waiters possessed that wonderfully Andalusian talent for appearing faintly irritated by your presence while simultaneously serving excellent food. One quickly learns not to take it personally. The hotel's own staff, on the other hand, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Like a well-made wine, Casa 1800 Sevilla is beautifully balanced. There is luxury here, certainly, but it is delivered with warmth and charm rather than ostentation. We left with the feeling that we should have stayed a few days longer.

Let's start with location: it is MAGNIFICENT! It's closed to restaurants, the Real Alcazar, the Cathedral, amazing! Please note that if you have a car, park in either of the recommended parking lots of the hotel. We parked on the one they offer a discount from teh hotel, and it's completely worth it! The rooms: Beautiful rooms! We were traveling with little ones and they even had little slippers for the little ones (smaller than the adult ones). Such a cute detail! And the robes... these are spectacular and soft and cozy! The pool/terrace area. It has a decent size pool, not too big, not too small, just right! The view is wonderful! Doesn't matter if you go in the morning, afternoon, to see the sunset (recommended!), it's gorgeous! If you are gpoing into the pool, make sure there are enough towels or brag yours if it's 2 hrs before the closure. Sometimes they ran out and I recommend asking for these as soon as you notice there are not enough.

We had a very good experience at the Casa 1800. The room was well laid out and functional with a nice spacious bathroom with lots of storage space. Beds were comfortable and room makeup was faultless. The rooftop pool and loungers was a very welcoming feature of the hotel, as was the complimentary afternoon tea. Would not hesitate to stay again. Did not enjoy the cooling cycle of the AC being switched off at nighttime and had to manually request it be switched on every day.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Murillo in Seville. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, the location is perfect for exploring the city, and the breakfast buffet was excellent with a great variety of fresh options. The rooms were clean, sophisticated, and very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. A very special thank you to Isabel for making our breakfasts so memorable with her kindness, sympathy, and positive energy. Every morning she greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly welcome. We would also like to thank Jesus, who was always very helpful whenever we needed assistance, and Maria J, who took great care of us during our stay. She was extremely kind, friendly, and always willing to help. Thank you to the entire Hotel Murillo team for making our stay so enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again when we return to Seville!

I have nothing negative to say about this place. My boyfriend & I stayed here for 2 days. We were traveling from California here to Spain, & wow! The staff was exceptional at customer service. We only really got to know Miriam & Victor; even with the language barrier they understood us. Even gave us travel tips for sights to see in Seville! Extremely heart warming people. They really made our stay in Seville feel special & welcoming! The hotel room itself was sterile, clean, organized, & even gave us sleep masks as well as ear plugs! We didn't have issues with hearing other visitors through the walls, or staff being intruding. This place deserves way more than 2 stars! Thank you to all the staff for this amazing stay❤️🇪🇸

We stayed at Hotel Murillo for 3 nights whilst on a city break in Seville. We chose this hotel as it's location was central and walkable to all the sites that we wanted to visit whilst in the city. We opted for breakfast included during our stay and we felt that the breakfast buffet had a good selection of food and drink available. The roof top terrace was an added bonus as we spent one early evening up there chatting and watching the sunset. We would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Hotel Fernando in Seville as part of our honeymoon, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, especially the front desk staff, who were warm, helpful, and consistently attentive throughout our stay. From the start, we were given a lovely room upgrade with a private patio, which made the experience feel extra special. On our second day, we were surprised with a bottle of champagne, a thoughtful gesture that added a really nice touch to our honeymoon. We only tried the breakfast buffet on our last day, which we regretted because it was genuinely excellent. We had initially assumed we would find better breakfast and pastries in town, but after walking around Seville and trying a few brunch spots, most were touristy, overpriced, and underwhelming. In hindsight, the hotel breakfast was far better than anything we found outside and is absolutely worth it if you enjoy a proper breakfast. The location is central enough, though it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the main lively areas of the city. That said, it felt peaceful while still being very accessible. We stayed at NH Collection hotels elsewhere in Spain, and this hotel was noticeably better in terms of service and overall experience. Highly recommended as a strong 4 star option in Seville, especially for couples or a special occasion like a honeymoon.

Perfect location! The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful. It was my wife’s and my first time in Seville, and we had a fantastic experience. The team provided great recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and even flamenco shows, which made our trip even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return to Seville and stay here again!

We have just spent three nights at Hotel Fernando III as a family (2 adults and 2 children), and we only have one word to describe our stay: Outstanding! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was perfect. We received a warm welcome, and every member of the staff was friendly, professional, helpful, and always willing to assist. The hotel is ideally located, less than a 10-minute walk from Seville's historic center, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. The valet parking service is a great bonus, especially if you're traveling by car. Our room was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped for a family stay. The swimming pool is the perfect place to relax and cool off after a full day of sightseeing in the Andalusian sunshine. Last but not least, the breakfast is exceptional. There is an excellent variety of fresh, high-quality food, with something for everyone. We highly recommend Hotel Fernando III and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Seville!

A lovely hotel in a beautiful city. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Great food in the restaurant and the roof top bar is perfect, just a shame we couldnt use the sunbeds in the pool area as it was so busy, but, not much the hotel can do about that. I special shout out to Anna at the roof top bar, she was brilliant.

Suited our needs. The location can’t be beat — walking distance for whatever you want to see. The rooms are clean, albeit a little small. But, that’s what you get for being in a great location. Staff was helpful and always available. Rooftop pool is small. We didn’t use it, but it seemed popular. Rooftop bar is perfect for a pre dinner drink. Overall — perfect place for a clean room in the heart of old town.

Tips for Choosing the Right Hotel in Seville’s Historic Centre

Selecting the perfect base in Seville requires a bit more thought than simply picking the highest star rating. The historic centre is a patchwork of different atmospheres, and what works for a romantic getaway might not suit a family or a business traveler. To ensure your stay is seamless and enjoyable, consider the following practical advice before booking your room.

1. Prioritize an Interior Courtyard Room
The charm of the old town comes with narrow streets that can amplify noise from late-night revellers and early morning delivery trucks. When booking, specifically request a room facing the interior patio or courtyard. Not only will this ensure a quieter night’s sleep, but these rooms often feature the traditional Sevillian architecture that makes these hotels so special.

2. Check the Accessibility of the Street
Many of the most beautiful hotels are located on pedestrian-only lanes where cars cannot enter. While this adds to the ambiance, it can mean a 5 to 10-minute walk with your luggage from the nearest taxi stand. If you have mobility concerns or heavy bags, confirm with the hotel whether they offer a luggage pickup service or if the street allows temporary vehicle access.

3. Understand the Micro-Neighborhood Vibe
Barrio Santa Cruz is incredibly romantic but can feel crowded during peak season. El Arenal, near the bullring, offers a more refined, quieter atmosphere while still being central. Alfalfa is trendier and louder, popular with younger crowds. Choose a hotel based on the energy level you want outside your door, not just its proximity to the Cathedral.

4. Verify the Air Conditioning Strength
Seville is one of the hottest cities in Europe, with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 40°C (104°F). While almost all hotels advertise air conditioning, the efficiency in historic buildings can vary. Read recent guest reviews specifically mentioning the room temperature during the months you plan to visit to ensure the system is modern and powerful enough.

5. Look for Rooftop Access or a Pool
After a morning of sightseeing, having a plunge pool or a shaded rooftop terrace is a game-changer. Even if you visit in the cooler months, a rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the Giralda or the city skyline. This amenity often distinguishes a good hotel from a great one in the dense urban fabric of the old town.

6. Confirm the Breakfast Offering
While you might be tempted to skip the hotel breakfast to save money, consider the value of convenience. Many historic centre hotels serve breakfast in stunning Andalusian patios. However, if the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or charges a premium, check if there is a traditional café within a one-minute walk. Sometimes a simple toast with tomato and olive oil at a local bar is a more authentic and affordable start to the day.

7. Book Directly for Perks
While third-party booking sites are useful for research, booking directly with the hotel often yields better benefits in Seville. Properties frequently offer direct bookers free cancellation, a welcome drink, or a complimentary room upgrade. Given the personalized service in these boutique establishments, a direct relationship with the front desk before you even arrive can make a significant difference.

Choosing to stay in the historic centre of Seville is an investment in atmosphere. You are paying not just for the room, but for the privilege of stepping out of your lobby and immediately being immersed in the city’s vibrant street life, history, and culture. By selecting a hotel that matches your travel style—whether that is a serene palace or a chic boutique townhouse—you ensure that your visit to Seville is as comfortable as it is memorable.

Once you have settled into your chosen hotel, the city is yours to explore. From the orange-tree-lined patios to the breathtaking views of the Cathedral at sunset, the right accommodation in the heart of the old town turns a simple trip into an unforgettable Andalusian experience.
