Seville’s café culture has evolved far beyond the traditional morning cortado and mid-afternoon pastry. Today, the city is home to a thriving specialty coffee scene, historic roasters, and design-conscious spaces where locals linger for hours.
Whether you are looking for a quiet corner to work, a sun-drenched terrace for people-watching, or simply the best flat white in Andalusia, the capital of southern Spain delivers. The challenge is knowing which addresses truly stand out in a city overflowing with options.
I have spent countless mornings crisscrossing the neighborhoods of Seville—from the winding alleys of Santa Cruz to the artistic streets of Macarena—to separate the exceptional from the merely average. This guide reflects firsthand visits, conversations with local baristas, and a focus on consistency.
Each café included here offers something distinct, whether it is a signature roast, an unforgettable homemade cake, or an atmosphere that captures the essence of Seville. You will find options that cater to digital nomads, families, and traditionalists alike.
We have also considered practical details such as opening hours, location convenience, and the availability of alternative milks. After all, a great café is about more than just the coffee in the cup; it is about how the space makes you feel.
Below, you will find a curated list of the twelve best cafés in Seville right now. Use this guide to skip the tourist traps and drink like a local, one carefully extracted espresso at a time.

This coffee shop was on my radar being so highly rated but because of its limited open timings it was a struggle to get coffee but it sure paid off when I managed to try the coffee. Nestled on the streets beside the setas you can sit on a bench, bask in the sun and try this complex, deep flavoured that somehow wasn't bitter even without any sweetener ( I usually have coffee with sweetener). Top coffee experiences in Spain for me.

Little coffee shop with lots of character! You can see in the details and interiors of the shop.
Excellent service as well. The barista was very helpful and warm when we asked about the beans and items in the menu.
We also enjoyed the coffee. Tried both iced latte Regina and espresso tonic which were both flavorful. I would’ve given it 5 stars if there were pastries. But overall, a must try!!

A friendly café in a nice locality a little away from the centre. You are greeted warmly by the friendly and welcoming staff. We had a baby with us and the staff made sure we had the most comfortable table close to the loo so we could also have a bit of privacy when needed. The chef also came by to discuss our dietary preferences. This was much appreciated. The vibe is quite relaxing. Although it's a busy café you can still enjoy within your own circle. The food here is all so fresh and delicious. I've had the best pasta and the traditional Sevillan breakfast here. We had to return on another 2 days of our visit. My favourite dishes are the gnocchi carbonara, the traditional Tostada as well as the focaccia. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a very modern vibe and hearty meals at reasonable prices.

If you're in the area I recommend having a bite here. Our apartment is just around the corner. We had a bite to eat around 3pm. It was fairly quiet. The front of house was friendly and polite. The food was really well done. Even though it was a light bite it was beautifully cooked, even asked how I would like my burger cooked. We thought it was reasonably priced. It was clean. Thanks again for enjoyable experience. Definitely would be back.

Had breakfast here after passing by, and it was absolutely worth the stop. The place was packed with both locals and tourists, which is always a good sign. The food was excellent, especially since they make their own bread. The prices are very reasonable. The staff were also fantastic and added to the overall great experience.
The only small downside for me was the croissant, it’s the curved, sugar-glazed style rather than the classic straight one. If you know your croissant, you know that’s not a proper croissant.
Having said that I’m still giving it a five stars.

Amazing! Glad I discovered this place on day 1 of my visit to Seville and will definitely return! My wife and I shared a salad, sandwich and ordered a smoothie each! I would recommend this 100%!
Mara Stefania★★☆☆☆
Considering the hype, we were so excited to have breakfast here. Unfortunately we left disappointed, annoyed and €100 poorer. Avoid the waffles, sandwiches, gourmet toasts, all of it. One egg on two huge slabs of toast was so odd. As a party of 6, we tried a large variety, and nothing was good. To top it off, the coffee was awful- bitter but watery. The waiter was rude, when I asked for eggs on toast, he said it’s not possible to do after 12 despite there being so many dishes including egg and toast still available at 1pm. I then asked for the hollandaise to be with toast instead of waffle, a quick and easy swap, and was met with a rude blunt ‘no’ yet again. It was new years though so maybe they were just being non accommodating due to this. However, the brunette lady was absolutely lovely, hence the 3 stars for service (which otherwise would be too generous). The orange juice glasses came half full too. Weird considering the abundance of oranges in this city. The only good thing was the smoothie. For the price, the quality and the atmosphere, this place is NOT worth it. Avoid.

Such a good cafe, highly recommended. Ended up going here 4-6 times over 3 days because their coffee is SO GOOD! Lovely area to catch up, have a drink and meet new people as well. The staff was kind enough to share some exotic funky beans they had and it was experimental and so unique ♥️

One of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve ever visited.
The quality of the beans is exceptional, and you can truly tell how much knowledge and care the team puts into every cup. The baristas are incredibly skilled, and even a simple espresso is made with such precision and attention to detail that you can really taste the quality of the coffee.
What I especially love about MUY COFFEE is their deep understanding and appreciation of specialty coffee. Every visit feels like a chance to experience coffee at its best.
I honestly found myself looking forward to waking up every morning because I knew I was going to start my day here. MUY COFFEE became one of the highlights of my time in Seville, and I’m so grateful I found this place. Highly recommended for anyone who truly loves great coffee. 한국인 분들 그냥 묻고 따지지 말고 이쪽으로 오세요 세비야를 통틀어서 스페인 전체에서 여기가 제일 맛있는 거 같애요. 산미있는 에스프레소 ..최고

My favorite coffee shop in the area. It has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, a friendly owner and team, and genuinely delicious coffee.
The space is small, but it’s been used really well, with a casual, thoughtful setup. They also play great music, which adds to the atmosphere.
Prices are very reasonable, and they even sell their own coffee beans.

Went twice during my quick stay. Had a batch brew that was dialed in—delicate with floral notes and a some fruity vibes! Came back for a cappuccino and it was delicious. They take their coffee seriously and combined with the great vibes and friendly service I would definitely recommend this. It is an authentic specialty coffee shop that anyone into coffee would appreciate.

I can't give it more than 5 stars. Let's ignore the fact that the place is painted my favorite color, the service is top-notch, the coffee is amazing, the place is super clean, cozy, bohemian with an intimate feel, super pretty and well-maintained. A coffee cost me 1.70, which is incredibly cheap compared to other places. The way they serve it and the fact that you can enjoy something delicious in a cozy space makes me want to come back because it's already my favorite coffee shop downtown.

Charming place with a very nice vibe. The owners are welcoming and always smiling. The bun was very tasty and crispy, and it paired well with the eggs and bacon. The portions were a little bit too small for me, but I'm a hungry person. Very cool place, definitely worth spending time here. I really enjoyed it.

We had a great time at La Sra Pop! We went in to have a cheesecake (delicious by the way!) and were pleasantly surprised by a live cabaret performance full of great music, engagement, and entertainment. Very talented artists!

I stumbled across a review of POP. The pics looked amazing, so me, my wife and daughter decided to make it happen. The bartender asked if we found him on the web. I said yes and he promised to make it worth our while. He and his female counterpart at the bar were a delight. They recommended and delivered some fabulous deserts. The place is small, bathrooms clean and we loved the experience!

Utterly lovely bar, cafe up nr Alamaeda de Hercules! Slightly alternative crowd, very friendly. Very reasonably priced drinks. Had a huge Negroni, brilliantly mixed and only 7 Euros! Music one night and a comedy act another night (yup we went there twice!). Bar staff were so lovely! Will definitely return a couple of times next time we’re in Seville

My other half is Spanish and I have been coming to Sevilla for over 25 years. I speak perfectly good Spanish but don't look local. This place offered perhaps the worst customer experience I have had over those 45 visits. Went up to the bar. I was still browsing the drinks menu so I didn't think too much of it when the barman was moving around some dishes. It took a while and then when he decided to serve someone it was a local who arrived well after me. That was annoying enough but I simply waited. At this point there's nobody else left and I was clearly waiting but instead of serving me he started to move around other items. I then left the bar area. His colleague alerted him and then he gestured towards me. I walked back up and started speaking Spanish. Instead of listening to me he told me, in English, that I 'should have said hi' to get served. This place doesn't deserve your custom!

Even in february they have live music and events in the evening starting at ~21h. Friendly stuff, good atmosphere.

Wow! This place is a gem. It’s probably the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life 😂 and I’m so picky about my coffee. They offered me a warm ginger tea as I was waiting for coffee.
The people working there are so warm and welcoming.
It is a small place so you need to go early if you want to find a place to sit. It gets busy super fast which makes total sense since they serve high quality food and coffee.
Bravo guys! ♥️

A gem. The food is creative, plentiful, with many flavours. Don’t miss the smoked tuna or the granola bowls. The cafe is welcoming with such lovely staff. Small place with outstanding coffee and food. Vegans take note! The hummus and banana sandwiches were amazing, and there are more options on the menu. The coffee was superb and the people were kind, hospitable and patient. We were even offered some complimentary ginger tea after we ordered for the little wait.

In my opinion, this is the best place for great coffee and delicious breakfast in Seville. My husband and I come to Seville every year and we love having breakfast here and treating ourselves to the lovingly prepared dishes. Every single meal is made with great attention to detail and with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Of course, the photos are not just from one visit.
My absolute favorites are the yogurt and fruit bowl with homemade granola, and the tuna toast.
Absolutely recommended and a delight every time.

This coffee was at most acceptable however, I personally will not return. I ordered a large Cappuchino for 3,80 € (Jan. 2026) - easily a rather elevated price but one notices that this place get frequented by tourist who look for "something special" and don't mind paying higher prices. However, the Coffee tasted quite watery like flavoured brown water with good temperatured milk foam. Nothing more and nothing less.....there are many more places in Sevilla with better coffee and a better value for money.
Vancy★★★★★
The cappuccino was flavorful and full-bodied. It’s a tiny cafe, mainly focused on to-go orders.
Since it’s sometimes not easy to find great coffee places in Seville, this spot is a real gem.
Anyone who truly loves really good coffee should definitely visit this place!

Great strong coffee! Got the iced latte. No flavors available though

Similar experience to other reviews- for the price, the quality was not there. The coffee I was served was over extracted and watery. For the price and specialty vibe, I would have expected higher quality tuning of the beans from the barista. Fine if you don’t really care about coffee…

If the coffee is good, the coffee is good. And here the coffee is good.
From an experienced coffee consumer, I enjoyed my coffee here very much. I’ve drank coffee from all over the world.
The milk here nicely frothed. Taste is very good.
Order to your taste preferences. Big or small, which milk, how many shots. Whatever suits you.
They also have many different kinds of pastries, cookies and cakes. I have not tried them yet, but they all look great.
Also the woman who was working was very kind, and helpful. Great service!

Tips for Enjoying Seville’s Café Scene
To make the most of your coffee journey in Seville, it helps to understand the local rhythm and unwritten rules. The city’s café culture is deeply social, and timing can drastically change your experience. Here is how to navigate the scene like a seasoned local rather than a passing visitor.
Learn the local terminology. While specialty cafés will understand terms like "flat white" and "cold brew," traditional establishments operate with a different vocabulary. A "café con leche" is equal parts espresso and hot milk, a "cortado" is espresso with just a splash of milk, and a "sombra" or "manchado" is mostly milk with a hint of coffee. Ordering correctly ensures you get exactly what you want.
Respect the breakfast window. Most locals have their first coffee between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, often standing at the bar. If you want a quiet table, arrive after the morning rush subsides or before the lunch crowd arrives. Conversely, if you want to feel the authentic energy of the city, join the crowd at the bar during peak hours.
Do not expect late-night specialty coffee. Seville is a city that eats dinner late, but specialty coffee shops generally close by early evening. If you need an afternoon or evening caffeine fix, traditional cafés and confiterías are your best bet. Many remain open until 9:00 PM or later, serving coffee alongside pastries and light snacks.
Carry cash for traditional spots. While most modern and specialty cafés accept cards and mobile payments, some older, family-run establishments still prefer cash for small purchases. Having a few euros on hand will save you from an awkward moment when ordering a €1.50 café solo.
Look beyond the historic center. Some of the best coffee in Seville is found in residential neighborhoods like Nervión, Triana, and Macarena. These areas offer lower prices, more space, and a chance to experience daily life away from the crowds. A short walk across the river or a quick tram ride is often rewarded with a better cup and a more relaxed atmosphere.
Seville’s café scene is a reflection of the city itself: warm, unhurried, and deeply rooted in tradition while quietly embracing modern influences. Whether you spend your days hopping between specialty roasters or lingering at a century-old marble counter, you are participating in a ritual that matters here.
Take your time, order a second coffee, and let the city reveal itself one cup at a time. The best memories in Seville are rarely rushed, and the same can be said for its coffee.
