12 Fast Food Spots near Jardin des Tuileries

Sitting in the geometric perfection of the Jardin des Tuileries, with the Louvre on one side and the Place de la Concorde on the other, is one of the quintessential Parisian experiences. Yet, after strolling through the gravel paths, admiring the statues, or simply people-watching by the fountain, hunger often strikes without warning. While the garden itself offers a few elegant sit-down cafes, sometimes you simply crave the speed, familiarity, and affordability of a quick-service meal before continuing your exploration of the 1st arrondissement.

The area surrounding the Tuileries is not just a cultural hub; it is also a surprisingly dense nexus of fast food options catering to tourists and locals alike. From iconic French bakery chains serving fresh sandwiches to global burger giants and quick-service brasseries, the streets radiating from the garden offer a diverse range of flavors. Whether you need a coffee and a pastry to go, a hearty burger to refuel, or a fresh salad to keep things light, the vicinity has you covered.

However, navigating the dining scene near a major tourist attraction can be tricky. Prices can be inflated, and quality can vary wildly from one street corner to the next. Knowing where to go before your hunger turns into a crisis is the key to saving both time and money, allowing you to maximize your time soaking in the beauty of the neighborhood rather than wandering aimlessly in search of a bite.

We have scoured the streets surrounding the Rue de Rivoli, Avenue de l’Opéra, and the adjacent side streets to curate a list of the most reliable and satisfying fast food spots. These are places where the service is efficient, the food is consistent, and you can get back to your sightseeing without a long, drawn-out table service experience. You do not need to sacrifice taste for speed when you know the right addresses.

This guide focuses on practical convenience, helping you find exactly what you want, whether you are traveling with picky children, sticking to a budget, or simply craving a specific type of cuisine. We have considered location proximity to the garden entrances, opening hours, and the ability to get food "to go" so you can enjoy a picnic back on the grass if the weather permits.

Below is a curated list of fast food spots near Jardin des Tuileries that offer the best combination of location, speed, and flavor. These options range from French staples to international favorites, ensuring there is something for every palate and craving.

We stopped by after landing in Paris and wanted to check out exclusive flavors for McDonald's in another country. Overall it was solid and felt like any other McDonald's. I got the mango curry chicken sandwich, where you can really taste the mango and curry flavors. It was slightly sweet and very creamy. The lettuce is the same sad shredded lettuce you can find in the States. The chicken patty was also the standard texture and taste for a McDonald's. They had wedge fries, which I think are better than the regular thin fries, but I prefer the potato-y texture so it may not be for everyone. It isn't a true McDonald's experience unless they forget a part of your order, and they forgot the cheese wedge fries, but a quick trip to the counter with the receipt got the matter resolved very quickly. I do like how they put the fries in a silicone container so it is reusable. However, the waste situation was a bit confusing for me, as they had 3 different bins with pictures and no writing so I wasn't sure which one to throw things in. The pictures weren't of help. The restrooms were hidden in the corner so a bit hard to find. It was not that clean but not too bad either, though some stalls lacked toilet paper so be sure to check before you go!

2026-05-18 Grateful to be blessed ✝️ with a McDonalds near the Louvre! Enjoyed a quick snacking at a reasonable price. To use the WC/ toilet/ 🚻 you have Press the very top button, then code, the very bottom button. Then turn the door handle counter clockwise. Open the door push or pull. Try again or ask for help if door does not open. 🚻 is not spacious. Open the door all the way to enter or exit 🚻. The toilet was a half toilet! Non-Europeans take note! Food was value for your money at this location!

This was an absolute joke. Ordered a single Coke had to wait over an hour even ask many times. How is it even possible for a fast-food restaurant to take that long... the staff seemed completely disorganized and didn't care at all. Calling this "fast food" is embarrassing. If you can't serve a Coke in under an hour, you seriously need to rethink how you run your restaurant.

Fast food that isn’t fast food: 45 minutes of waiting for such a bad quality burger! If you are hungry, do not come here ! If you are thirsty, the sodas are flat !
Karim★☆☆☆☆
Unless you have no other alternatives i would not advise you to go there. Long wait time even after 10PM, uncooked meat, they give out trays without the paper on it and lay the fries directly on the dirty fries. The staff looks overworked, should get more staff on peak time.

Savory crêpes here are so good that we ended up ordering a second one after finishing the first. Highly recommend the kebab + cheese + egg combination — super flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the banana chocolate crêpe for dessert and it was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit!

You will be missing out if you don’t eat here. The 6 gentlemen work like clockwork, knowing what the other is thinking. Efficient, friendly, small establishment that’s big on taste, value, and team work. The New York sandwich is great sandwich that starts with a nice crunch of the French baguette. The crepes are exceptionally large and loaded, and packed with flavour and freshness. This is a bucket list restaurant for lunch that’s outstanding value. My kids loved the food. You guys are brilliant, thank you.

Happy Café was such a fun stop for us—definitely one we’ll remember! We ordered two Nutella crepes, a Kinder Bueno crepe, a Nutella crepe with pistachio ice cream, and a marshmallow-topped donut, and everything was delicious. The crepes were warm, soft, and generously filled (we clearly couldn’t get enough of the Nutella 😄). The Kinder Bueno crepe was super indulgent and perfect for chocolate lovers, and the Nutella crepe with pistachio ice cream was a great combo—rich, creamy, and a little different. The donut topped with marshmallows was also a fun, sweet treat. But by far, the highlight was the owner. He was absolutely hilarious and created such a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, which really made the whole experience stand out. Great desserts, amazing vibes, and an owner who truly makes the place special—we’d definitely come back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Milkshakes and coffee in opposite big wheel. Paris – Bon Appétit! If you’re looking for one of the best milkshakes in Paris, this place is a must-visit! The milkshakes are incredibly rich, creamy, and perfectly blended with high-quality ingredients. Every sip is packed with flavor, and the presentation is just as impressive as the taste. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re craving a classic chocolate shake or something more indulgent, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth. Bon appétit!

Happy Café definitely lives up to its name. The people here are genuinely kind, friendly, and seem to enjoy what they do. The menu has plenty of great options, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. You can really see why it’s called Happy Café. It’s not just the food, it’s the people. We’d happily come back the next time we’re in Paris. One small thing that really stood out: one of our orders was taking a little longer than expected, and since it was such a hot day, the staff brought us complimentary lemon drinks while we waited to make sure we stayed hydrated. It’s little gestures like that which turn a good meal into a memorable experience.

Tried Berliner Das Original Kebab during the trip and had a great experience! The food was freshly prepared and full of flavor you can really taste the quality. The service made it even better. The guy who served me was very friendly and generous, and even gave me a discount, which was a really nice gesture. The burgers were great but a word of caution: you get a HEAPING of french fries! I would absolutely consider this a bonus considering they taste great IF I knew this beforehand! We got the Poids Lourd and Double Smash and both were great. Absolutely come visit but you might want to reconsider the second menu deal.

All the burgers were delicious (our fave was the Bartholome) especially with the added perk of 50% off via The Fork! Service was friendly, ambience can’t be faulted. It was so good we had to visit twice during our short stay in Paris! We were given a free cookie voucher for our next visit so of course we had to make good of it! (P.S. pictured is the brookie instead as they ran out of cookies).

It's our first time at Big Fernand. A very warm welcome and helpfull from the owner. The food is good. We had a good meal. The only downside, I'd say, is that the outdoor tables are a bit wobbly.

Super friendly staff and cute place. Chicken burgers and chicken tenders were super tasty. Love the fries as well
Leevis★★★★★
As an American who's eaten burgers all over the U.S.—including New York, Texas, and California—I never expected the best burger I'd ever have to be in Paris. But Big Fernand completely exceeded every expectation. The burger was phenomenal. The beef was perfectly seasoned all the way through, the French cheese was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the bacon and caramelized onions brought everything together perfectly. Every ingredient tasted high quality, and the fries were just as impressive. On top of the amazing food, the prices were extremely reasonable, especially for such a central location in Paris. The staff were welcoming, and they even provided complimentary water, which was a thoughtful touch. If you're visiting Paris and love burgers, do yourself a favor and eat here. It's an absolute hidden gem and easily one of the best meals I had during my trip.

WORST THAI FOOD IN THE WORLD AND SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE as an Asian myself, I am truly disturbed by both the food and service. Taste nothing like actual Thai food and made me wait 20mins js for 2 bowls. Pad Thai was soya sauce and msg plus awful. My bowl had a chuck of dried rice stuck tgth?? (pic below) Have not reached the service yet. 20mins and asked for my food to see 5 bowls alr made siting on the counter without beeping the beeper. Might hv been there for long that's why food not exactly hot. Guy who looks indian threw the food at me without utensils when asked for utensils, threw 2 chopsticks at me. Where's the spoon for the rice? And he shld just quit if he doesn't want to serve properly. another grp asking for their food had missing items and sold out items that they alr paid for. They didn't even receive their drinks while waiting. Just close already cuz it's so bad, might as well go out and eat grass
Kay★☆☆☆☆
Saying this was Thai food was a stretch. Very bland. The rice came cold and the chicken was overcooked and dry. They didn’t realize they messed up my order until 40 mins after ordering. Disappointed. There’s a McDonald’s around the corner. Go there instead.

WORST THAI FOOD I’VE TRIED! Pad thai tasted like a canton with lots of soy sauce! The crunchy chicken spring roll wasn’t crunchy at all! Photos posted! Staff’s weren't friendly. Overall wont recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Pitaya (Louvre Location) Pitaya is a great fast-food option if you’re looking for something quick, flavorful, and a bit different from the usual Parisian bites. I visited the location near the Louvre, and everything was fast and tasty. I ordered the veggie Pad Thai, and it hit the spot — fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. A solid choice when you need a speedy meal without compromising on taste.
Internet★☆☆☆☆
Lacks flavor. Tourist trap. AVOID. One of the worst Thai food restaurants I have been. For 17.90 euros, you get noodles, a lime wedge and a few pieces of overcooked shrimp. I had to go back and ask why it was missing the other ingredients. Then they were upset and then added the sprouts and some peanuts. No apologies. Avoid. Walk around the corner and find better flavor, good ingredients and good service.

Best French Taco place in town I must say! The range of cheese options and sauce varieties they offer is just amazing. We definitely recommend the unique OTacos! We tried the Rice bowls too and the sauce really elevates the food. I would suggest the spicy one for rice. The french fries here are really good with the dip alongside. They have vegetarian options as well. Everything is quite reasonably priced in the menu. The place was clean and well lit, perfect for groups and families. The interior looks good and the staff were very cordial and helpful. This is the first restaurant we went to, during our Paris trip and it was worthwhile.

Great food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed my experience here,,,,highly recommended.

Trying the French taco for the first time and it did not disappoint. The variety of cheeses they offer is great - including Boursin! In fact, I’d give even them a 6th star, if they can somehow double/triple fry their fries — to give it a slight crunch even in all the sauce. But as is, definitely an enjoyable experience. I also appreciate how friendly the staff was. And I must say, this is the cleanest fast food outlet I’ve ever been too - when it was a bit quiet in between orders/customers, I noticed the staff actually proactively mop the floor to keep things tip top. Would recommend this.
Estiak Ahmed★☆☆☆☆
I’m very disappointed with this order. The tacos had only fries inside veryclittle amount of sauce and they put very little amount of chicken, and the quality was much worse than what I usually get from other O’Tacos locations. It was dry and missing flavor. Please check the preparation quality — this isn’t up to the usual O’Tacos stand

Creepy atmosphere. Everything was dirty. People in service were arrogant, bossy and controlling. Smell was disgusting. Foods was awful. You see it and you can’t even think about eating anything more that day. Fries were cold. Bread hard as stone - I couldn’t cut it. Everything was old and looked like from last week. In the dessert were too bugs.

I had a great experience at Self Service Tuileries. The location is perfect, right in the center of Paris, ideal for a quick break while visiting the area. The self-service concept is very convenient, with a good variety of hot dishes and fresh salads. The food is well presented, portions are generous, and the quality is solid for the price. Special mention for the desserts—they were really delicious! The staff is friendly and efficient, even during busy hours. The place is also quite spacious, which is a big plus in this area. Overall, very good value for money. I definitely recommend it 👍

Confusing and mid. We came as a group with reservations for 3 dinners and we learned to dread dinner time by the second day. Some other reviews were quite funny but its not that dramatic, just plainly unsatisfying. The meat in the photo has a very suspicious smell.
Francisco Fernandes★☆☆☆☆
The expirience was horrible, also cause the service from an expecific waiter who desrespect completely the people, he throwed water on my tray and ignores me completely, also with an agressive tone after the accident cause I complaned it. Food was also poor and uneatable. I dont recommend to come here
Ana★★★★★
Stopped by for a nice snack and a baguette. They had a wide variety of food, from pizza slices to patissiere. They also sold ice cream and ice lollies which were amazing in the summer heat. The baguette was deliciously fresh and had sun-dried tomatoes with prosciutto Di Parma. It was quite big and comparatively cheap to others for €5.90. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Long waiting for food on counter although not busy at all (only few people). Table service is not available because all the plates with table number where missing from all of the order kiosks. Toilets are locked and you can't access my yourself. Male one is not working at all. Female is accessible only if you ask the staff to open it and they are dirty. One sink is clogged.

Can’t complain. I got served pretty fast and the price was quite reasonable. I appreciate that there were empty seats on the second floor since it was raining.

Took an hour to get food at 12:30am. Ordering is fast as it’s done through the kiosks but waiting to get your food will take forever. They also messed up my order 🥲 after I waited for an hour. Massive queue of delivery drivers and workers were moving at a snail pace. Do not recommend!!!
Iwan Gerbes★★★☆☆
A nice McDonald's, although service experience for me was not great. After ordering some fries at the terminal, I had to ask for my order after 25min. Either they forgot or something, even that I selected I would pick it up at the counter and I was waiting. As a not local it was not really clear for me where you could pick it up and too much people coming through. There was also no screen indicating which order was ready, totally no direct overview and very confusing. Overall the food was ok and the restaurant looked nice.

was served the smallest sundae I’ve ever received, and it was missing the caramel I paid for. When it was finally added, there was no apology or explanation. The portion size was unacceptable and poor value for money. I will be making an official complaint about this experience.

The bathroom were very dirty, not able to use. More of them were closed and only one worked. We politely asked somebody to clean it is possible and they answered in a rude way.

The food was extremely disappointing — bland, poorly made, and tasted like it had no freshness at all. Definitely not what you’d expect, even from a fast-food place. What really ruined the experience were the washrooms. They were in terrible condition — dirty, smelly, and clearly not maintained properly. For a busy location in Paris, that’s unacceptable. Won’t be returning to this branch anytime soon.

For some reason, I just had to try the McDonald's in Paris and get my fix of the 'Bacon Royal with Cheese'! After all, walking around the entire morning made me hungry, and this McDonald's was right in my path. The staff are super friendly, even though they spoke little English, but somehow, I got my order in. And space was plenty, except that the crowds were also plenty. At the end of the day, this was a great experience in Paris, and whenever I travel around the world, I make it a point to try the local McDs!

A nice restaurant in an upscale area. Wife said a bathroom attendant was charging a fee to use the toilet, which i thought was weird. The store was very crowded.

We visited the McDonald’s near the Arc de Triomphe and had a good experience. There were multiple kiosks, which made ordering easy, and the service was very quick. We especially enjoyed the McCafé treats. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it a convenient stop while exploring Paris.
Zsolt Kiss★☆☆☆☆
Food quality: below criticism (photo attached). Humanity: zero. There was strong, cold wind blowing, so our group of 8 people + 1 dog wanted to step inside. Since there was no pictogram and no written sign stating that dogs are not allowed, we entered with my shivering dog — only into the entrance area — so we wouldn’t disturb anyone while the rest of the family was ordering. After half a minute, the security guard forced us out. I repeatedly pointed out that there was no sign prohibiting dogs. Despite this, he became louder and louder, shouting “OUT!” We then sat outside in the freezing cold and waited for the others. Later, I received something that could barely be called food. The only positive thing was that the hot chocolate was perfectly made and the barista was very nice. I honestly hope the place goes bankrupt and gets replaced by an O’tacos or another more decent food chain.
Annette W★★★☆☆
Staff is super. Everyone I interacted with or observed was working diligently, fast, and with friendly professionalism. The fries were perfect McDonald's standard. The burger buns were some if the best I've had. The meat patties were tiny and dry. The thing that drags the restaurant down is the complete lack of napkins. Meals don't come with napkins. There are no napkin dispensers. And if the answer to that is that I should have asked at the counter, then I am going to argue that counter staff should ask whether I want/need napkins along when they offer ketchup for the fries. The lack of napkins is exacerbated by the ridiculous long lines for the bathroom. They should offer a handwashing station outside of the bathrooms for those customers who don't need the toilet but prefer clean hands before and after eating.

Disappointing experience at this McDonald's. The ordering screens were not working properly and there was a long queue. On top of that, it took about 30 minutes to receive my order, and the service was very slow. To make matters worse, the floor was quite dirty. There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of organization, speed, and cleanliness. Prices were higher compared to other McDonald's locations in France, which made the experience even less satisfying.
Jap Jap Bird★☆☆☆☆
Possibly the slowest “fast food” experience on Earth — almost impressive for all the wrong reasons. We waited around one hour for our food. When we finally asked about the order, instead of helping resolve the situation, the manager simply directed us back to the waiting area to continue waiting indefinitely. What concerned me even more was the hygiene. I observed several staff members handling buns and burgers in ways that appeared unhygienic, while the dining area itself was also dirty, with tables and seats seemingly not being cleaned frequently enough. For a McDonald’s located inside one of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, the Louvre, this level of service and cleanliness was extremely disappointing. A one-hour wait at a fast-food restaurant is almost comical. If the goal was to introduce me to the French slow-life philosophy, mission accomplished.

The Service à table experience was excellent! Ordering was simple and the staff brought everything directly to the table. Fast, convenient, and very well organized. Really impressed!

I visited Chez Nico’s with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in every category. Despite being the only customer in the restaurant, the service was incredibly slow and lacked any sense of hospitality. When my crepe finally arrived, the cheese was barely melted, and the dish itself felt overly greasy and heavy. Most uncomfortably, I felt a distinct coldness as a foreigner that made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. For authentic crepes and a pleasant environment, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

I had a great 2 weeks in Paris with many regular visits to Chez Nicos! They're crepes were tasty of good quality, and affordable at around 10 Euros. The staff was also really friendly and made my visits there better. Also, they are usually open until 2am! Perfect for a late night snack 🙂

Tips for Eating Fast Food Near the Tuileries

Dining quickly near a major Parisian landmark requires a bit of strategy to avoid long lines and overpriced tourist traps. The area is busy nearly all year round, but with a few insider tricks, you can eat well without wasting valuable vacation time. Here are some essential tips to keep in mind when grabbing a quick bite in this prestigious district.

Avoid Peak Lunch Hours: The window between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM is chaotic near the Rue de Rivoli, as local office workers flood the area for their lunch breaks. If you want to avoid standing in a long queue, try to eat an early lunch around 11:30 AM or a late lunch after 2:00 PM. You will find the service much faster and the seating areas far less stressful.

Embrace the "Formule" or Meal Deal: Most fast food spots and bakeries in Paris offer a "formule" or set menu that includes a main item, a side, and a drink for a discounted price. Always look at the menu boards for these deals, as ordering items à la carte can be significantly more expensive. This is the best way to keep your meal budget-friendly in the 1st arrondissement.

Take Your Food to the Garden: While eating is not allowed on the grass lawns of the Tuileries, there are plenty of free green chairs scattered around the gravel areas and fountains. Instead of eating in a cramped, noisy restaurant, grab your food "à emporter" (to go) and walk a few steps back into the park to enjoy your meal with a million-dollar view.

Check for the "Fait Maison" Label: If you are opting for a French bakery or sandwich shop, look for the phrase "fait maison" (homemade). French law requires restaurants to disclose if dishes are made in-house rather than bought frozen from a supplier. This label ensures you are getting a fresh, quality sandwich or quiche rather than a reheated industrial product.

Validate Your Parking or Use the Metro: If you are driving, parking near the Tuileries is notoriously difficult and expensive. It is almost always faster and cheaper to take the Metro to the Tuileries (Line 1) or Pyramides (Line 14) stations and walk to your chosen eatery. The time saved sitting in traffic on Rue de Rivoli can be spent enjoying a dessert instead.

The area surrounding the Jardin des Tuileries proves that fast food in Paris does not have to mean compromising on quality or atmosphere. By choosing the right spot, you can seamlessly blend a quick meal into a day of high-end art and history, keeping your energy up for the Louvre or the luxury boutiques of Place Vendôme.

Whether you opt for a classic French jambon-beurre from a local boulangerie or a familiar burger from an international chain, the key is to plan just a little ahead. With the right address in your pocket, you can spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the timeless beauty of one of the world’s most famous gardens.
